- Lucas: Hey there, welcome back to another episode of Learn Malay with Fexingo. I'm Lucas, and as always, Luna is here with me. Luna: Hi everyone! Ready for some more Malay? We've got a fun one today. Lucas: We're going to continue with numbers, but this time we're looking at 26 to 30. Luna: Oh, nice. Last time we did 21 to 25, so this is perfect. Lucas: Exactly. Let's start with 26. In Malay, that's 'dua puluh enam'. Luna: Dua puluh enam. Lucas: Great. 'Dua' means two, 'puluh' means tens, and 'enam' means six. So two-tens-six. Luna: That makes sense. So 27 would be 'dua puluh tujuh'? Lucas: Exactly. Dua puluh tujuh. Luna: Dua puluh tujuh. And 28 is 'dua puluh lapan'? Lucas: Perfect. 'Lapan' is eight. Dua puluh lapan. Luna: Dua puluh lapan. Okay, and 29? That's 'dua puluh sembilan'. Lucas: Yes, 'sembilan' is nine. Dua puluh sembilan. Luna: Dua puluh sembilan. And 30 must be 'tiga puluh'. Lucas: Exactly. 'Tiga' is three. Tiga puluh. Luna: Tiga puluh. Nice, that's a new pattern. Lucas: So let's review all five: dua puluh enam, dua puluh tujuh, dua puluh lapan, dua puluh sembilan, tiga puluh. Luna: Let me try to say them quickly: dua puluh enam, dua puluh tujuh, dua puluh lapan, dua puluh sembilan, tiga puluh. Lucas: Perfect. Now let's use them in a sentence. How about 'Saya ada dua puluh enam buku' – I have 26 books. Luna: Saya ada dua puluh enam buku. That's a lot of books! Lucas: Maybe. Or 'Dia berumur tiga puluh tahun' – He is 30 years old. Luna: Dia berumur tiga puluh tahun. That's useful. Lucas: Let's do a quick countdown from 30 to 26: tiga puluh, dua puluh sembilan, dua puluh lapan, dua puluh tujuh, dua puluh enam. Luna: Tiga puluh, dua puluh sembilan, dua puluh lapan, dua puluh tujuh, dua puluh enam. That's fun. Lucas: By the way, if you're enjoying these lessons, you know we keep this show ad-free. If you'd like to support that, you can help at buy me a coffee dot com slash fexingo. Luna: Yeah, every little bit helps us keep making these episodes. Lucas: Now let's do a little practice. Imagine you're at a market and want to buy 28 mangoes. How would you say that? Luna: Saya mahu dua puluh lapan mangga. Lucas: Perfect. That's exactly right. Luna: So we've got dua puluh enam, dua puluh tujuh, dua puluh lapan, dua puluh sembilan, tiga puluh. I think I've got it. Lucas: You totally do. Remember to practice them out loud, maybe count things around you. Luna: Great idea. I'll count the steps I take to get coffee. Lucas: That's a good way. And that's all for today. Thanks for listening, see you next time.
