- 0:00You want your proposal to be perfect, right, because for the rest of
- 0:03your life people always ask how did you get proposed? How did you know,
- 0:07how did he do it? Whatever? So you want it to be
- 0:09perfect. Well, people are now, apparently because of social media and the
- 0:12pressure to you know, look perfect on there, they are hiring proposal planners.
- 0:17Oh get out. The fact that that would even be somebody's job is
- 0:21crazy. I mean, think about it, this person who you had hired.
- 0:24I don't know what they're charging, but I'm sure it's not cheap.
- 0:27They plan the perfect, lavish proposal. And speaking from experience as a man,
- 0:33you know, I didn't have a lot of like great ideas. It
- 0:35was just like, I don't know, just yours was super sweet? Didn't
- 0:38you do it in Florida? Her family was there, you went down,
- 0:41everybody was watching from afar the works. It was so sweet. When not
- 0:45on the need to glarify, I'm glad, glad you did it properly.
- 0:51Yeah, no, it was. I mean that was a nice part.
- 0:53It was like trying to do it when her whole family was there and like,
- 0:56you know, grandparents and everything. So that was cool. But you
- 0:59know, I do have regret of like not having a photographer, not telling
- 1:03anyone I was about to do it, so there's really no photo evidence at
- 1:06all. But you know someday you're gonna kind of go That's okay. It's
- 1:08it's such an intimate moment between you guys. Sometimes I feel like I'm just
- 1:15getting really old. Was true too, enjoyed that moment just together, you
- 1:19know what I mean? I mean that is true, we did, but
- 1:22like you know, you's still nice to have a photo just a single mam.
- 1:26See. So we as you know, when we got engaged, there
- 1:30was no photo of it because it was just the two of us, but
- 1:33I had done like remember you're like, oh, that's cute. Remember when
- 1:37I put the champagne glass with the fishing hook in the ring in the glass.
- 1:41Yes, okay, you remember the photo? What was it? Yeah?
- 1:44Wait a minute, did you propose to do? Am? I never
- 1:47remembering this? Right? I did not propose states your own proposal. It's
- 1:51funny because Nick always is like, well, she kind of proposed to me.
- 1:53So what ended up happening is we both This was our second marriage,
- 1:57so we knew we were gonna get married, and we were talking about rings
- 2:01and I said you know, I'd really like to have because my mom had
- 2:05passed away. She had two rings. Of course, my mom had two
- 2:08two kind of situations, and her fingers were way bigger than mine. So
- 2:14I wanted to try to get one of them and be like, hey,
- 2:16this would just be my ring. I would love that. But they didn't
- 2:19work, so ended up trading in my mom's rings and picking out a ring.
- 2:23So I was a part of that process, right, So it's not
- 2:25like Dad and so here was the ring and he's like, he's like,
- 2:30I'm not going to sit here and wait, Like I've already asked for your
- 2:32dad's hand in marriage months ago. He asked for my dog, but Dad
- 2:42said no. So he figured, all right, what the heck, let's
- 2:44just ask her, like in a minute in the morning, big Nutty eight
- 2:46point seven, you're ready? Ready, that's he is tysday. No,
- 2:53I'm Amanda Stills that see. Let's see this is gonna be so so good
- 2:59because Kanye West and his partner of Bianca, they have been banned. Now
- 3:04I'm gonna do my best to explain this by a boat company in Venice.
- 3:07Now, I know you guys talked about it last week. There was a
- 3:09little something something going on. Now the picture that I saw, you could
- 3:13see Kanye's booty and then she had been kneeling down. It looked like to
- 3:17just like grab something because somebody probably he probably dropped something. Huh. And
- 3:22I'm gathering that's what happened with the situation. Yes, So the rep for
- 3:25the company noted that the boat driver did not know what was going on.
- 3:30Now we're talking a little gondola, so he didn't look back at all,
- 3:34like these aren't very big, I know, and I didn't realize it was
- 3:37a driver in the boat. I mean, it'd be one thing in like
- 3:39your own private little gondola to have that have an intimate moment like lovers do.
- 3:45Yep. But so they're saying he was busy navigating the boat traffic,
- 3:51Yeah, rush hour on the river. They do want to let everybody know
- 3:58that had he been aware, he would have immediately disembarked and reported the transgressors
- 4:02to the authorities. Yeah, I mean, it would be humiliating to get
- 4:06caught. It was like the time, do I ever tell you the first
- 4:09time I made out with a girl on a bus? I'm like a you
- 4:14know, a charter bus for school charter bus. Yeah, I'll never forget
- 4:16it. Man. I thought I was having a private moment and the supervisor
- 4:21like ripped me out of the scene. The most humilis I would were the
- 4:26lights dim and you thought like you were on your way back from an event
- 4:28or something exactly. Yeah. So yes, I would never do a public
- 4:32display of affection ever. Again, traumatizing, Absolutely traumatizing on my bucket list
- 4:36because I always think of the gondola and how romantic that would be. Not
- 4:41quite as romantic as these two took it. But aren't there houses or like
- 4:45apartments and stuff and restaurants on the side of us. Yeah. From the
- 4:47footage I've seen, it's feeling like everybody was able to see what was going
- 4:53on down there. They want to look enjoy the show, and I'm really
- 4:58confused by this, but I guess they're just hanging out because Tom Brady is
- 5:02still with Irena Shake. After the PDA post, we were talking about a
- 5:06week ago with Bradley Cooper. Yeah, I looked more than just co parenting.
- 5:11I think it looked like they were together very much, so it was
- 5:14very intimate. I would have a hard time. I guess if you're in
- 5:17the dating world. You just feel like, hey, you do you.
- 5:21I just don't take Tom for that guy. I feel like he'd want her
- 5:26to be more like, Hey, if we're gonna do this, it's just
- 5:29you and I. And she's got to know that there's these paparazzi out there
- 5:31right Like, she's not an idiot. So I'm sure they've got an arrangement.
- 5:34And who knows, maybe they're not really together. They're just kind of
- 5:36horsing around. By the way, there was no paparazzi photos. She's the
- 5:42one who posted the PDA photos. Oh yeah on her Instagram, So she's
- 5:46putting it out there. I still am not ruling out the Thrupple theory I
- 5:49had last week. I think it's a possibility. I'm a sucker ful Joe
- 5:54Jonas and his wife Sophie Turner are they headed for divorce now? Over the
- 5:59week end in turn Gracie, you were in the cities. You got to
- 6:01see the Joe bros. Firsthand before they're going to be at the Alas Center.
- 6:05How was it? It was so fun? Was it? They were
- 6:08great put on that show? I love them? Yep? All right?
- 6:11What was the ring situation was Jonas wearing a ring he was not. Did
- 6:15you notice he was he tearing up? Or was he sobbing? Did he
- 6:17look like a man who is going through a divorce? I guess the divorce
- 6:20news. I didn't hear about it till the day after, so I guess
- 6:24I didn't really think he was different or anything. Okay, but now looking
- 6:27at videos from like last night's show, he's kind you can kind of tell
- 6:30he's kind of going through it down I imagine, all right, well,
- 6:33he was wearing his ring last night, so people are super confused by it.
- 6:36They did sell their Miami mansion for fifteen million dollars last month, and
- 6:42what we're being told is he's upset because she is in filming a bunch of
- 6:46stuff and he's out on the road. Has had this tour planned with his
- 6:49brothers, and he's the one having to watch the two kids that they have
- 6:54because she's just off doing her own thing. I don't I don't want to
- 6:56not like her, based entirely off of a character she played off on a
- 7:00Game of Thrones, but I don't like her. Isn't that weird when somebody
- 7:03plays a role and you can't get past it, right? But you gotta
- 7:06give me something else to go off of. And I don't know, maybe
- 7:09I don't pay enough attention, but she just rubbed me the wrong way.
- 7:12So you think Joe's like, nah, we're done. Maybe he hadn't seen
- 7:15the show finally watched. He's like, hey in the morning seven those kids
- 7:23taking me rude? Can't they be so good? People in line, we're
- 7:28talking about the rude things their kids have said in public. Always embarrassing because
- 7:32you know, kids, they just don't they don't have the life experience.
- 7:35They see somebody who looks different, you know, somebody who like, for
- 7:39example, one person talked about their kids seeing a person without a hand,
- 7:43and it's like, for them, that's like what they got a lot of
- 7:45questions. Yeah, they're gonna ask out loud in the grocery store. Yeah.
- 7:47And as a parent you can only do so much and teach them.
- 7:51You know, you don't know. I mean, I'm still being a victim
- 7:55of a four year old little girl who tells me, I look weird?
- 7:58What is that hanging? Why are you doing that? You're like, oh
- 8:01my gosh, she'll call you out for your outfit even too right, Yeah,
- 8:03mom, what are you wearing what is that? Just don't like it?
- 8:11Four years old? She's got fashioned, just dialed. Well have you
- 8:13seen her style? I have seen her style from Tutti's children's Britique. I
- 8:18mean doba adorable, absolutely doable seven one eight one ninety eight seven. Please
- 8:22share with us the rude things you're kids upset? You can text us,
- 8:24you can call us. You have a story of a rude child, sure,
- 8:28ado This one is myself though. When I was little, I was
- 8:31apparently getting pushed in a grocery cart and we live in a small town,
- 8:35and we passed a lady and I said, my dad, think you look
- 8:39terrible in shorts? Was this something your dad told you in confidence? You
- 8:46know, kids listen to everything, you know. That is one of my
- 8:48biggest fears. I tell my husband, because we'll be having a conversation and
- 8:52then an hour or two later, my daughter will say something about that conversation
- 8:56and I'll go, huh that you pay attention to what I was saying,
- 9:01And that is my biggest fear. Maybe it's a relative we were talking about
- 9:05that she's going to say something like, well, they didn't want you to
- 9:07come anyway, or I mean not that we would ever say the courseline you
- 9:11love all your relatives, but what did the person say when you ratted your
- 9:16dad out like that? Well, I think my mom just kept driving the
- 9:18car really fast. Oh my gosh, and your mom and there how embarrassing.
- 9:22Well, thanks for calling. I appreciate it. Seven one two eight
- 9:26one ninety at seven. If you want to weigh in the rude things your
- 9:30kids have said, we got some comments on Facebook. We do Amanda chiming
- 9:33and saying, my three year old daughter walked up to a complete stranger in
- 9:35the store and told them she didn't like them. I don't like you,
- 9:39just point blank. Oh my god, what does the kid know? Then?
- 9:43I don't know, I don't know. Barbara said, well, my
- 9:46four year old had just gotten over the chicken pox. A repair man came
- 9:50over right after that, and he had really bad acne. She looked right
- 9:54in the eye and said, do you have chicken pox too? Katrina saying
- 10:00this isn't terrible, but my two year old son's an older gentleman in a
- 10:05cowboy hat at a checkout line, and she says he slowly walked behind her,
- 10:09give him a big smile and yelled yeah, that's adorable. See that's
- 10:15funny. Listen, if you're going to the store in a cowboy outfit,
- 10:16you gotta be expecting a yeeha too, right. One of my favorites.
- 10:20I had a family friend and their daughter. She was much younger than me,
- 10:26and they brought her to church and she was having a little temper tantrum
- 10:31in the middle of a church, and the pastor kind of everybody's like looking,
- 10:35and the mom wants to scurry out with a kid. And as they're
- 10:39walking down the aisle to the back, the kid is being held in going
- 10:43help me, Jesus, help us. In the air. I'm like,
- 10:46this is so good in the morning. Well, Amanda and I we both
- 10:54find ourselves just right there, smack dab in our thirties, a couple of
- 10:58thirty somethings. I feel like I'm getting a little close to forty now,
- 11:01But well it's true you are. That's how time works. Your birthday is
- 11:05this week? How old are you gonna be? Oh? Yeah, I
- 11:07don't even double threes? Double three thirty three on Sunday? Can you believe
- 11:13it? Well, there's a list though it was perfect timing. I found
- 11:15this list on BuzzFeed of the mistakes people commonly make in their thirties, so
- 11:20it's not too late to correct these mistakes, or maybe looking back you can
- 11:22go, oh yeah, absolutely, and my god, if you're in your
- 11:26twenties, listen up, look out, And then if you're in your forties
- 11:28or fifties, just laugh at the fact. I'm like, yeah, being
- 11:31concerned about not being that young, trendy generation anymore and anymore forget about where
- 11:37would you want you want to wear skinny jeans? Forget what generation? Why
- 11:41I suppose z at the time. At this moment is I just do what
- 11:45you want? So gotten over the fact, Like I do not understand slang,
- 11:48I don't sound cool. I try not to be cool at that point,
- 11:54you know what I mean. I'm not gonna just like grab a word
- 11:56and go, hey, I'm gonna make this happen. Absolutely, I'm still
- 11:58making fetch hapen, you know what I mean. Like, that's the generation
- 12:01I'm in, and I will just be that person. Yeah, you just
- 12:03gotta accept it. Like for me, yeah, like I have no problem
- 12:07saying things are cool. I know there's a million other words for the word
- 12:11cool, but somehow cool it's really stood the test of time. You can
- 12:13always just say that's cool, that is so groovy, Pikes, You and
- 12:16I look like an idiot. Say something is like you know lit you know
- 12:20saying is? Or my wife always can tell me because I say sick too
- 12:22much. I, oh, that's sick. That's so My weekend was you're
- 12:26sick. She's like, You've said sick like ten times. My nieces and
- 12:30nephews are listening on their first day back to school cringing right now. I
- 12:33bet another mistake people making the thirties romanticizing your twenties and fearing your forties.
- 12:39Just live where you are. It's so true. I don't fear forty.
- 12:41I'll be thirty eight this year, and I've gotten to the point I forget
- 12:46if I'm thirty six, thirty seven, thirty eight, Like I'm just in
- 12:48that weird age of yeah, and remind me of this in two years when
- 12:52I'm like, oh my gosh, I'm gonna be forty. Well. And
- 12:54that brings us to the next mistake people making their thirties is thinking they're old
- 12:58Ryan, and I've I had to stop doing this because how many times at
- 13:01a certain age did you think that you're old, like this is I'm old
- 13:05now, But then you look back at that age and you go, oh,
- 13:07wait a minute, I was actually not that old. Yeah. The
- 13:09fact that we had a twenty year one kind of class reunion, I'd been
- 13:13out of school that long, Yeah, blows my mind. It's crazy.
- 13:18It truly blows my mind. Yeah, but it's it'd be so easy to
- 13:20fall into like, oh, I'm just old now. But then you know,
- 13:22when you're fifty, you're gonna look back and go, what the heck
- 13:24was I thinking? Like I was still you know, you're still living.
- 13:28Absolutely, you can still get out of bed, you know, relatively easily.
- 13:33No, I do know. The hangovers are lasting a lot longer,
- 13:35and the aches and pains just little things. My husband and I tried to
- 13:39going jogging last weekend, just a little bit outside. We both woke up
- 13:45the next day, Hey are you a little sore? Yes, I have
- 13:48shin splints. And we jogged a half a block, you know, and
- 13:50what happened. I will say, though, like I don't buy into that
- 13:54as much as some people, you know, like it's not necessarily your age,
- 13:56it's just that you haven't jogged. Yeah, Like if I was,
- 14:00if I was eighteen. I remember going back to football like after the summer
- 14:03and doing two days and just being like just crippling sworm pain. Yeah.
- 14:07I mean so it's like, yeah, if you're if you're active, then
- 14:09you're not gonna get a sword. Good point, Pike, Thank you so
- 14:13much. And this is why we're doing this, Amanda, because I imagine
- 14:15people in the car right now we're going. Got good point, Pike,
- 14:16good point. I'm got to go, and everybody hang on. Let's all
- 14:22I can hear it. God a hero like in a minute in the morning
- 14:28on Big Nutty eight point seven. My boy, I'm suspected thing when you
- 14:33hear that telephone? Fice friends, fucking this listen, fice friends, friend.
- 14:46All right, we got a little birthday today, a little birthday surprise.
- 14:50Okay, all right, Yeah it's funny guy. Jason's his name,
- 14:52and he wanted us to mess with his wife on her birthday and he left
- 14:56it pretty open ended. So I got a pretty ridiculous it's her birthday,
- 15:00py go easy, we'll see three. Hello, Hi this Teresa. Okay,
- 15:11Hey Teresa, don Bozo sin over here at a Chet's raw Fish Delivery
- 15:15Service. I got your delivery here. I'm actually at your front door now
- 15:18wondering where you like me to put it. Well, I'm sorry, what's
- 15:20delivery you're referring to. Yeah, we're from Chet's raw Fish Delivery Service.
- 15:26We got your crate of smells like mahi mahi. I'm thinking, got your
- 15:31name on the address here, So I just wanted to wonder where you want
- 15:33me to put that from. Well, I doesn't have a return address.
- 15:39All it says here on the memo line is a happy birthday baby girl.
- 15:43I don't know who that might be from. But okay, okay, tell
- 15:46you what. Why don't we just go ahead and leave it on the on
- 15:50the step? That'll be fine. Yeah I can't. I can't just leave
- 15:54it on the step. You know, this thing's got to go right in
- 15:56a freezer. So I know if you've got like a deep freeze, chest,
- 15:58freezer anywhere like that, I could maybe throw this in for now.
- 16:02Actually, all right, I'll tell you what. Go to the bath door
- 16:07and there's that'll take you to the basement and you can put it in the
- 16:12deep freezer that's in there. No this store here a right, so I
- 16:18can't see you. I looks like it anyway, all right, going in
- 16:21here? Whereabouts was that chess freezer? He said? The basement? Okay,
- 16:26I just can't take a cup of the Oh god, oh god,
- 16:30we got fish everywhere, Theresa, you there, I took a little spill.
- 16:37This fish is everywhere. I am so sorry. What do you mean
- 16:40it's everywhere? What do you mean you like a towel? You got like
- 16:42a cleaning kit? Something I can use to wipe this up here? I
- 16:45don't. I am at work right now. I cannot come and deal with
- 16:49this right Sorry? Is it on the carpet? Yeah, I'm right here
- 16:53in the living room. I am so oh god, that's embarrassing. You're
- 16:56in my living room. What are you doing in but at the basement?
- 17:00Yeah, or wires must have got crossed there. So I'm so sorry.
- 17:03But listen, I gotta run. I gotta I got a box of eels.
- 17:07I gotta get across town here for an anniversary party. So I gotta
- 17:11get no, no, no, no, no no no. I have
- 17:14a book club at my house tonight. I cannot have my house smelling like
- 17:18dead fish and I'm at work for another five hours. Sorry, Trees,
- 17:22I can't really help you. Hear what I can recommend is. I know
- 17:26some other clients have ed good luck with apple cider vinegar. It can help
- 17:30with the smell. You just kind of got to douse the house out,
- 17:32open all the doors and windows, and leave that sit for about three hours.
- 17:34Yeah, hope you enjoyed the fish. Happy birthday. Wait a minute,
- 17:38wait a minute, can I have I'm sorry before you before you go,
- 17:41can I just have the number of your manager, please? You know
- 17:45I don't have the number to my manager. But what I can do tell
- 17:48you, though, Teresa, is that this is a prank call. Okay,
- 17:52you're getting pranked. Yeah, I'm sorry, Trees. I'm sorry,
- 17:56but you're you're getting pranked. Don't worry. I'm not that You're house don't
- 18:00have fish. Your husband, Jason, though, I told us that your
- 18:03birthday was coming up, so that part was true, and he wanted to
- 18:06do it. He wanted to give you a little gift, this little creep.
- 18:10Oh my gosh, Wait a minute, wait a minute, so you
- 18:14wait, there's no fish. There's no fish, not as far as I
- 18:17know. I mean, are you sure not that I had anything to do
- 18:21it? I don't know you, Jason, That's what are funny? What
- 18:22a funny guy. Tell Jason thank you from us a good thing. Pike,
- 18:30get Amanda in the Morning, come on, get up on seven Birthday
- 18:37season here on the Pike and Amanda in the Morning Show. Not only is
- 18:40my big birthday coming up on Sunday, as we talked about, but well
- 18:42I thought that's what it was all about. Well that's most we're getting there.
- 18:45I just want to get your stuff out of the way real quick.
- 18:48Really, the whole reason you brought this up is to remind us all that
- 18:49Pike's birthday is on Sunday, and you've always been the weird big birthday boy.
- 18:53I don't know you love your birthday. Listen, everybody loves a day
- 18:56that's about them. Come on, I mean, whether you admit it or
- 18:59not, it's nice to get a little, you know, love a little
- 19:02you know, a few Facebook posts here and there. You know, you
- 19:06find out real who really loves you when you know you get a text message.
- 19:08Heck, maybe even a phone call. I like the phone call.
- 19:11Nothing better, right, Yeah, it's like that's the guaranteed day Graham's is
- 19:15gonna call. Oh, you know, I wish my Gramma could call me.
- 19:19That's all anyway, The worst though, is when you expect like you
- 19:22I think, like my dad's at this point I stepped out of my real
- 19:26dad would like call me. But sometimes like you'll just get the text and
- 19:30like really, like it's my birthday. Yeah, you're gonna at least call
- 19:33pick up like happy birthday, how's your day? Love? Yet not just
- 19:36a quick text. Depending on their you know, technology skill level, you
- 19:40might even get a sticker on Facebook, you know, like we're my wife
- 19:45Lauren's sister's wedding ryot over the weekend and her Gramma pat hilarious lady, but
- 19:51like, you know, it's definitely a boomer on Facebook, you know.
- 19:53And she would tell me about how, you know, she's like, I'm
- 19:56not very good at Facebook, but she's like, I do like to wish
- 20:00people happy birthday. She goes, I like to give him a sticker.
- 20:03And it's so funny to hear they're like thought press because I just imagine them
- 20:07just like smashing buttons, not really knowing what they're pressed, like hitting the
- 20:10poke button if that's still a thing. Which she's talking about how she loves
- 20:12to give stickers and the big one specifically, she loves a good big sticker.
- 20:15I'm like, oh, that's very nice with you. But anyway,
- 20:18so hoping to get a few stickers come Sunday, there also a big packer
- 20:22win that would be a nice little I mean, listen, we'll see,
- 20:26we'll see. Well, you, but you had a big, a big
- 20:29birthday weekend with your husband, Nick. I mean yeah, last Wednesday was
- 20:33his big birthday and you had to have laid the red carpet out, right,
- 20:37I did. I took the day off to just be with him.
- 20:40I mean, what more of a present could he have than to be with
- 20:42his wife. I mean time he woke up until the time he went to
- 20:47bed, and then for like six days after that. Oh did I mean
- 20:49so you really just treated him like king? I did? We went around.
- 20:56No, we woke up, We left the kids at the lake for
- 20:59a whole overnight and did a little like small town bar hop in, played
- 21:03to pull tabs, hung out, went to a friend's place. Yeah,
- 21:06no, it was great. I thought I thought his birthday was great.
- 21:10It sounds great. Yeah, it was a nice, little Trea, don't
- 21:11you. I mean, the older you get, like the last birthday's matter,
- 21:15especially when it comes to your marriage. Right, did you get him
- 21:17a gift. Actually, no, no, we I guess we were kind
- 21:19of shopping that day and I got him a pair of swimming trunks. I'm
- 21:22like, oh, these are cute and on sale. Do you want him?
- 21:25Okay, that's that. We're not going to count that as a gift
- 21:26because you guys have the same money anyway. Right, That's just it.
- 21:30It's just when you want something, you get it, right, maybe running
- 21:33by me if it's something big, but yeah, exactly, you just don't
- 21:37even think about it. And then my son he turned three tomorrow. Whoa
- 21:41Briggsy boy is turning three tomorrow? So we did kind of a group celebration
- 21:45over the weekend to have the seafood boil and give him a cupcake. He's
- 21:49at that. He had three years old, big seafood boil. Guy like,
- 21:55ma, no, that would be Sydney. She wanted we had the
- 21:57seafood boiler and she goes, where's the muscles? I mean, this girl
- 22:02is crazy at four years old, Whereas Briggs just kind of looked at it
- 22:04like no thing. I didn't know what a muscle was though, I was
- 22:08like twenty nine, right, I will tell you though, Now having the
- 22:15guest round two of having a birthday with him. He's just it took all
- 22:18weekend to celebrate his birthday. Now, this sounds ridiculous and you're not gonna
- 22:21get it yet, Pike. But on Saturday, just because you don't have
- 22:25kids, I have it in my mind, and you'd think after having another
- 22:29kid that I would understand this. So we're like, oh, well,
- 22:32everybody'll eat at three o'clock. So he skipped naptime. So we tried to
- 22:36open presents, do the seafood boil, and tried to get him a cupcake
- 22:40and wish him happy birthday. Wasn't having it, so we had to do
- 22:44Day two of his celebration was like, oh, wake up. You get
- 22:47your gifts from all your cousins. And then yesterday it was like, oh,
- 22:49now you get your cupcake. And still didn't even get the picture with
- 22:52him with a cupcake. Oh you didn't get a messy eating the cupcake.
- 22:56Nothing. He wasn't having any of that. Maybe better luck on his real
- 23:00birthday tomorrow. Maybe that's he's holding out for it. Probably he knows,
- 23:03but then I've just given up on it. Yeah, on your kids altogether,
- 23:10Yes, Pike, that's exactly what I mean like they are five and
- 23:14three, so your work is done four your daughter's four, then she just
- 23:18turned five. No, she just turned four. Sometimes I feel like I
- 23:21know your kids better than you do, don't. We're gonna fact check this,
- 23:23and we're gonna come back here, all right, spiking ahead in the
- 23:26morning, like in a minute in the morning, Big ninety eight point seven.
- 23:30Have you ever been, you know, when you're on a highway,
- 23:30like, for example, we drove back from a wedding this Lauren's sister,
- 23:34my wife got my wife did not get married. My wife's sister did.
- 23:37Though. Anyway, have a plot twist, i'd be some breaking it sure
- 23:41would be. But you know, we're driving back from like, you know,
- 23:45the middle of Minnesota, so there's a lot of two lane highways where
- 23:48it's a little nerve wracking. You know, you're trusting the other side of
- 23:51the highway to stay in their lane. Well, then you're on like let's
- 23:53say h ninety four, and you got like the separated two lanes, right,
- 23:57you trust everybody's driving in the right direction, right, you know,
- 24:00you hope everybody is on the right side of the road. Yeah, Well,
- 24:03apparently this guy was driving and he noticed a car was coming the wrong
- 24:08way and how horrifying can you imagine that being on the interstate on the Interstate
- 24:12ninety four? This not specifically, but just imagine that, right, because
- 24:17where where do you? Where do you go? I mean you're gonna want
- 24:19to go over to the side, but you're wondering, like this lunatic is
- 24:22coming. Do you abort completely? Do you go to you just take it
- 24:26into the ditch? Or what you think you do? Right? I mean,
- 24:29it's not worth the risk? Right. Well, this guy ended up
- 24:30calling nine to one one and there's a little plot twist at the end here,
- 24:33But listen to the call nine one where I'm on High Lay seventy seven
- 24:38going north and there is somebody that is on the wrong side of the road.
- 24:41And then see what color type of vehicle was? No, he had
- 24:45a bright star man. He almost ran me off the road. Dude,
- 24:48he almost hit me. So I was like, holy, okay, can
- 24:51an officer or deputy contact shift they have questions about what you saw? No,
- 24:55You're good. I was just like, holy. So this guy's just
- 24:57terrified, but doing the public a favorite calling it in, like let's get
- 25:00this guy off the road. They are they drawn. I mean, you
- 25:03don't know. Well, the officer ended up responding to the call, and
- 25:07oh gosh, it turned out my man who called it in, he was
- 25:11the one going the wrong direction. Oh stop, So everybody else to him
- 25:15was going the wrong way. He thought he was just going crazy. What's
- 25:19going on? Everybody day is on the wrong side of the road. It
- 25:22must be opposite day. The police, oh pulled him over. It turns
- 25:26out he was drunk, unfortunately. So here's how that interaction with the officer
- 25:30went. Yeah, do you know why I stopped you? Yeah, because
- 25:33I was on the wrong side of the road. Yeah, he's the one
- 25:34that called in, ye were Yeah, because I thought somebody was on the
- 25:38wrong side, and it turned on it was you. Yeah, look at
- 25:42them. Yeah. I mean he's just being honest about himself. I mean
- 25:48he is a total you know what he said. I mean, imagine that.
- 25:52Wow, just calling the cops on yourself. I mean, thank god
- 25:56he did, because I mean that's dangerous. Somebody easily could have died himself
- 26:00included. Yeah, because especially do you ever and this sounds terrible to admit,
- 26:04but I think we've all been there because you're on the same road.
- 26:07That you're on not even on your phone. You're just like zoned out,
- 26:10like you're just driving and yes you're paying attention, but you're not like you're
- 26:12like, wait, how did I get? Like what just happened? I
- 26:17will say, after living here pretty much my entire life, I was you
- 26:21know how many times I've been on University Drive. I was on Main Avenue
- 26:25and like an idiot, I turned left onto University going the wrong direction.
- 26:29I'm like, what am I doing? You know this? So now I'm
- 26:30like on a one way Thank god nobody was coming, But you know,
- 26:33it felt like a big dumb idiot for a second there. That Florida life
- 26:37got you good. Huh you forgot how to get around here. In the
- 26:41morning seven, imagine you're on a flight headed over to beautiful Barcelona. Oh,
- 26:48I mean that's on my bucket list, Barcelonas. Yes, I would
- 26:51love to go to Spain, Spain. I was about to say Italy,
- 26:53but it's we'll have to fact check that, but for sure Spain for the
- 26:59time being, will say it's in Spain. Anyway, there was a flight
- 27:03over the weekend Barcelona bound, a lot of very excited passengers. Well the
- 27:07flight this Delta Airlines airbus A three fifty had to make an emergency landing.
- 27:14Oh gosh, had to turn around and head back to the airport. Now,
- 27:18apparently there was a biohazard concern on the flight. Biohazard. I mean
- 27:23you hear biohazard. You're trapped in that little air tube. I was a
- 27:26little concerning. Yeah, I was thinking like chlorine or some weird stuff.
- 27:32Yes, for sure, it was a weird substance. All right. One
- 27:34of the passengers had themselves a little emergency and didn't make it to the bathroom.
- 27:40Oh no, all the way down the aisle they were attempting to get
- 27:45to the bathroom. Oh stop it. But they left themselves a little,
- 27:49a little breadcrumb trail. Gotta go, gotta go, gotta go right now.
- 27:53I mean, can you imagine being on that flight. You've got an
- 27:57aisle seat, and you're already annoyed. Some people like the aisle seat.
- 28:02I'm not a big aisle seat fan. What do you mean the annoyed of
- 28:03an aisle seat? You like the aisle? What depends on the situation.
- 28:07The window generally, like the flight home. Yeah, give me the window
- 28:11because I want to try to sleep, and the best bet is to do
- 28:14it leaning up against the window. But if I'm like drinking and stuff,
- 28:17you know, me and this little bladder, you know, it's good to
- 28:19have the access. Yeah, exactly. Well, I mean, if you
- 28:22had an emergency like this person, it's like, I gotta go. But
- 28:26I always hate when you aren't on the aisle and somebody is napping and you
- 28:33gotta go to the bathroom. So I wonder if it was that situation.
- 28:34He had a nice window seat and joined It's like, I gotta gotta go
- 28:38with the couple of people between are like and just being respectful, and we
- 28:44have the ear pods on. So what do you do? Do you just
- 28:45tap them? You hit them? I mean, how do you go about?
- 28:48In this case? You just climb over them like they're a jungle gym
- 28:51or you're very well cool, have just been respecting the seatbelt sign. Seatbelt
- 28:55sign was illuminated and you know the rules. You would think even you even
- 29:00if it was okay, let's just go. How disgusting this is. It's
- 29:03beyond what you would imagine like a pretty healthy trail up and down to the
- 29:07back. Because even your pants aren't gonna be like I was gonna say,
- 29:11are you lady with a skirt on? Now here's what you need to know.
- 29:21The Bison are said to host Maine this weekend for their home opener,
- 29:25and typically NDSU wears on the back of their helmets the word Bison, but
- 29:29on Saturday and it's going to read Fargo. They're gonna be honoring first responders.
- 29:33Were in Saturday's game just two days before nine to eleven. Head coach
- 29:36ends and uh some other people with the Fargou NDSU Bison. They said that
- 29:41there is a lot of different plans, so Officer Dotis, Haws and Robinson
- 29:45are actually going to be there in attendance, so to do the coin toss
- 29:48before the game. They actually have a dozen players that are on the team
- 29:52right now that have parents that are either serving in the fire please shareff EMT
- 29:56or some sort of first responder. Well that's awesome, what a cool thing.
- 30:00And I'm very excited for his home game of the year on Saturday,
- 30:03so that'd be cool. They're playing Maine. You know who plays for Maine.
- 30:06Random fact here, but Randy Moss's youngest child. Really yeah, yeah,
- 30:10yeah, I did not know that. So they are in the process
- 30:11right now of actually trying to collect a hat from all of the organizations from
- 30:15some of the player's parents. So at some point during the game, you're
- 30:18probably going to see a coach or maybe another quarterback or somebody on the sideline
- 30:21wearing one of the hats. The parents of Officer Willeen have also been invited
- 30:25to the game as well, but no word on whether or not they're going
- 30:27to be there. But it's just really cool that they're going to do that.
- 30:33Oh my gosh, I know, it was a rough weekend. We
- 30:36lost Steve Harwell, who was the co founder of smash Mouth. He retired
- 30:41what two years ago. He was only fifty six years old. They haven't
- 30:44said specifically what was going on with him healthwise, other than he was on
- 30:47hospice. Well it's a liver failure, was so you know, yeah,
- 30:51like, you know, fifty six years old, didn't get a liver transplant,
- 30:53you can, you know, put the pieces together for sure. Obvious
- 30:56he had some addiction issues for a long time. So are you very sad?
- 31:00Though? Way too young? And yeah, I mean I love smash
- 31:03Mouth. You know, you know me a big guy being late nineties,
- 31:06early two thousands guy, and you know, while a lot of people probably
- 31:08think they're just like this one hit wonder cheesy band that did the Shrek song,
- 31:14no a lot of jams. Also, over the weekend, we lost
- 31:18Jimmy Buffett. I'm like, gosh, he was a little bit older,
- 31:21but still only seventy six. Yeah, well, you know, we got
- 31:23like Betty White and Bob Barker nine at nine thousand years old, so anything
- 31:27younger than that, you're like, oh, man, seriously, and know,
- 31:30just when it's so sudden and none of us are really expecting, you're
- 31:32like, ash, that's a bummer. I know, I really was bummed
- 31:33to see the no that I wasn't said about Jimmy Buffett, but the smash
- 31:37Mouth one really hit me. Wow, man, marry you okay with me
- 31:42even talking about this because I'm nervous for you because you're going to Vegas next
- 31:48month to see these guys, because the last time you were there they canceled
- 31:51on yet correct blank onin eighty two and I did just see them in May,
- 31:53so you did, yeah, yeah, I saw. I'm in the
- 31:56ex Sorry, no, but you know, you gotta get him in while
- 31:59you can, because you know, as we just learned, you never know,
- 32:02yeah, never no. Yeah. So Blink one eighty two out on
- 32:06tour and they were on the European leg last week and all of a sudden
- 32:09there was an urgent family matter and they had to cancel their shows or at
- 32:14least postpone them, And we did find out. We kind of assumed it
- 32:16was something to do with Courtney Kardashian because she is pregnant and she's due in
- 32:21the next couple of weeks. So he ended up coming back. Travis Barker,
- 32:25He's home, She's happy, He's home. No words, can't feel
- 32:29back right. So he flew all the way back from Europe. And this
- 32:31is a guy that's terrified of flying already. So it's like, yeah,
- 32:35once you have the one scared, you don't leave again, do you.
- 32:37I wouldn't think so. And I would also like to think that whatever the
- 32:40scary is, you're gonna want to monitor or close, especially because she could
- 32:44have the baby at any day. Anyone wondering about that too with you in
- 32:50the middle of the tour. Is he because I watched Keeping up with the
- 32:53Kardashians I have for so many years. Yeah, I feel like she's one
- 32:57who's gonna want him to be around after the he's born for a little while.
- 33:00Yeah. I know you want that, but this is his job.
- 33:02I got a big deal. I get it. I just don't see her
- 33:07going out on tour with him with the baby well now the baby brown.
- 33:10Yeah, I don't know. Listen, it sucks to be those European fans
- 33:15who were expecting to see them, But it's fine if it affects me.
- 33:17Now we gotta go alright. Weatherwise, today, it is back to school
- 33:22for all of Minnesota, and it's gonna be a lot cooler than this weekend.
- 33:24Hive about seventy two. There is a chance of a thunderstorm this moon
- 33:28this morning this morning, but by the weekend gonna be back up to about eighty
