The introit. The designs of his heart stand firm generation after generation to deliver their souls from death and feed them in famine. Rejoice in the Lord, oh, you just. Praise be cometh the upright. Glory be to the father and to the son and to the holy ghost as it was in the beginning is now and will be through all ages of ages.

Amen. The designs of his heart stand firm generation after generation to deliver their souls from death and feed them in famine. The Collect, let us pray. O God, whose mercy deigns to lavish upon us infinite treasures of love in thy son's heart wounded by our sins. Grant we pray thee that we may offer him devout homage, loving service, and fitting reparation through the same Jesus Christ, thy son, our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, through all ages of ages.

Amen. A lesson from the letter of Saint Paul the Apostle to the Ephesians. Brethren, on me least as I am of all the saints, he has bestowed this privilege of making known to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ of publishing to the world the plan of this mystery kept hidden from the beginning of time in the all creating mind of God. The principalities and powers of heaven are to see now made manifest in the church the subtlety of God's wisdom. Such is his eternal purpose centered in Christ Jesus our Lord who gives us all our confidence bids us come forward emboldened by our faith in him.
• 3:02
With this in mind then I fall on my knees to the father of our Lord Jesus Christ, that father from whom all fatherhood in heaven and on earth takes its title. May he, out of the rich treasury of his glory, strengthen you through his spirit with a power that reaches your innermost being. May Christ find a dwelling place through faith in your hearts. May your lives be rooted in love founded on love. May you and all the saints be enabled to measure in all its breadth and length and height and depth the love of Christ to know what passes knowledge.
• 3:56
May you be filled with all the fullness God has to give. The gradual. The Lord is sweet and righteous. Therefore, he will give a law to sinners in the way. He will guide the mild in judgment.
• 4:22
He will teach the meek his ways. Alleluia. Alleluia. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for I am gentle and humble of heart, and you will find rest for your souls. A continuation of the holy gospel according to John.

At that time, the Jews would not let the bodies remain crucified on the Sabbath because that Sabbath day was a solemn one. And since it was now the eve, they asked Pilate that the bodies might have their legs broken and be taken away. And so the soldiers came and broke the legs both of the one and of the other that were crucified with him. But when they came to Jesus and found him already dead, they did not break his legs. But one of the soldiers opened his side with a spear and immediately flowed out blood and water.

He who saw it has borne his witness, and his witness is worthy of trust. He tells what he knows to be the truth that you, like him, may learn to believe. This was so ordained to fulfill what is written. You shall not break a single bone of his. And again another passage in scripture says, they will look upon him whom they have pierced.

The offertory. Naught else but shame and misery does my heart forebode. I look around for pity where pity is none, for comfort where there is no comfort to be found. The secret. Give heed, we pray thee, O Lord, to the unutterable love in thy dear Son's heart.
• 6:50
Let our offering be a gift accepted by thee and an atonement for our sins. Through the same Jesus Christ, thy Son, our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God through all ages of ages. Amen. The Preface of the Sacred Heart. Just it is indeed and fitting right and for our salvation that we should at all times and in all places give thanks unto thee, o holy lord, father almighty, everlasting god, who has willed that thine only begotten son hanging on the cross should be transfixed with a lance so that the opened heart, treasure place of divine bounty might flood us with torrents of compassion and grace.
• 7:57
And that what never ceased to burn with love for us should be a resting place for the devout and to the penitent should open as a shelter of salvation. And therefore, with angels and archangels, with thrones and dominions, and with all the array of the heavenly army, we sing a hymn to thy glory and unceasingly repeat. Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of hosts, The heavens and the earth are full of thy glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
• 8:47
Hosanna in the highest. The communion. One of the soldiers opened his side with a lance and immediately there came out blood and water. The post communion, let us pray. May thy holy mysteries, oh lord Jesus, impart to us divine fervor wherein we may taste the sweetness of thy most loving heart and learn to despise what is earthly and love what is heavenly.
• 9:35
Who livest and reignest with God the father in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God through all ages of ages. Amen. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen. Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.
• 10:05
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us. Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.
