- 0:28Good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30So today, Happy Spring. Again just I'm on a spring theme
- 0:35right now because I just feel like it's just such an
- 0:38appropriate thing and I just am in this place where today it was
- 0:44a great reminder for me. The weather wasn't so harsh and
- 0:49overnight. And so this morning when I
- 0:51walked out it was just beautiful and the air was fresh and spring
- 0:57is just an absolutely wonderful reminder.
- 1:01Of how beautiful things can be and how beautiful change can be
- 1:06like the heat. That was causing all of this
- 1:09raining just or awful weather. We were having just left and all
- 1:13of a sudden there was like a breath of fresh air in the whole
- 1:16area. And for me, that's just AA, that
- 1:19breadth of change is just beautiful, but I know most
- 1:23people many of us have a have a thing with change in me, being
- 1:28so certainty driven as I am. I used to Really dread change.
- 1:32I didn't like it. I just wanted things to stay
- 1:34exactly as they were and I had to learn to adapt and learn to
- 1:38Pivot with that especially when I was younger.
- 1:41So I wanted to talk a bit about that today about how to kind of
- 1:47get your head around change, because Springtime everything is
- 1:51changing. We're going from what was Barren
- 1:53and cold and nothingness. And all of a sudden, the bulbs
- 1:55are coming up. Flowers are blooming.
- 1:58Birds are having babies? We have baby chickens.
- 2:01The chicken coop, all kinds of amazing things start to happen
- 2:04in the springtime. And it for me, it's just a great
- 2:08reminder to I have to recalibrate myself and say this
- 2:13is a time to learn how valuable change is because change doesn't
- 2:18always seem like it's wonderful. But when we really hunker down
- 2:21and we really start to think about it, we can understand
- 2:24exactly how much it is. A wonderful thing to be in a
- 2:28state and operate with change constantly.
- 2:31Only happening. Now, whether we like to face it
- 2:33or not changes always happening every day, we don't think it is.
- 2:38But it is, you know, the and I'll use this as an example
- 2:42because I think it's such an important one.
- 2:44So you're either moving closer to the person you want to be or
- 2:49further from the person you want to be every day those little
- 2:52changes. So if you decide okay I'm going
- 2:55to work out. I'm going to lose weight, I'm
- 2:56going to get healthy. I'm going to do all these
- 2:58wonderful things for my body and then all of a sudden, you Change
- 3:01that and you decide. Oh, well, it's okay to eat the
- 3:04burger or okay, it's okay to have the extra beer, or it's
- 3:08okay to do those little things. And so I'm going to skip the
- 3:11workout or the walks or the, the reading, and the learning in the
- 3:15mindset, whatever it might be. Those are all small little
- 3:19changes that are something that you're saying, I'm going to push
- 3:25that aside for right now. But the truth is, they have
- 3:27massive impact. And when you don't pay attention
- 3:30to To them and you don't consistently do them over time.
- 3:34All those little tiny changes have a bigger impact so the
- 3:38small one change eating. The burger.
- 3:39One day, may not be a big deal, but eating the burger over the
- 3:43course of six months might be a really big deal.
- 3:47So, the little changes if you handle them all of a sudden,
- 3:52everything else seems to take care of itself, but if you don't
- 3:55handle the small ones, the bigger ones, you know, as they
- 3:58become bigger and they get more. Are defined all those little
- 4:03changes that you made along the way, add up to big changes.
- 4:07Now, they don't always have to add up to negatives.
- 4:09They can add up to positives because that's the beautiful
- 4:12part of our world change has Duality.
- 4:15It can be for the better or it can be for the worst.
- 4:18And, you know, I think the most important part about
- 4:22understanding change is accepting that it's constantly
- 4:25happening. So, once you accept it, you can
- 4:28say, I'm going to choose to focus on all the great changes.
- 4:32I'm going to choose to focus on all the things that move me
- 4:35towards who I choose to be, or my outcomes, my goals, my
- 4:39intentions, whatever you want to call it.
- 4:41But it's that acceptance of change.
- 4:43It's the acceptance of what's happening and saying, okay, you
- 4:47know, I have to allow myself that, that awareness that all
- 4:52change is not bad. So, there are things that change
- 4:56constantly on this Farm. There are things that change
- 4:59constantly. I have no control.
- 5:01Over the weather. I have no control over the
- 5:03behavior of animals. They're going to be who they
- 5:06are. I have a beautiful chicken Buffy
- 5:10who's got quite an attitude on her.
- 5:13Some of you may have seen her before on my Facebook and
- 5:16Instagram, she's got, she's blondish colored and she has big
- 5:22puffy hair do. She kind of reminds me of
- 5:24Phyllis Diller from the 70s and boy does she.
- 5:27She looks so sweet and so pretty but that attitude is is so day
- 5:32as long. She's got an attitude and I have
- 5:35watched her overtime shift and change and become something of a
- 5:40leader in the group. She's not the top chicken, but
- 5:42she's up there and she does have these little changes about her
- 5:47all the time and all the chickens do.
- 5:49They all have these little shifts, you'll see how they
- 5:51change their roles, you'll see the, you know, the younger ones
- 5:56starting to take more of a role. It's constantly in flux and it's
- 6:00just a reminder Our for me about how much that takes place
- 6:04everywhere, doesn't matter what you think it takes place
- 6:08everywhere. So I'm going to tell you embrace
- 6:11the change, make it your friend talk to it, welcome it and look
- 6:16at it and say, you know what it is a sign of hope, it is a sign
- 6:20of, I have some control because I can focus my attention on the
- 6:25positive parts of the change and know exactly what I want to
- 6:29attract. All right.
- 6:31My friends, I'll see you tomorrow morning and I hope you
- 6:33have a very blessed day. Bye.
