- 0:01Jaclyn Strominger: Hello, everybody, and welcome to another amazing episode of the Unstoppable Success Podcast. Woohoo! I am your host, Jaclyn Strominger, and as you know, on this podcast, we hear from amazing individuals. They share their tips, their insights.
- 0:15Jaclyn Strominger: their tricks on how they have had unstoppable success. And today, I am so excited to welcome… to the podcast, Emily Atlantis Wolf. And guys, let me just tell you.
- 0:27Jaclyn Strominger: First of all, she is a guest whose career path reminds us that success is rarely a straight line, and sometimes the seemingly unrelated pieces of our lives are exactly what prepare us for the work we're ultimately meant to do. She describes herself as a human bridge, someone who has spent her career connecting people, ideas, and worlds that don't always naturally speak the same language.
- 0:51Jaclyn Strominger: And her journey has taken her from civil engineering and technical writing to project management, financial services to medical massage therapy, and to ultimately into a world of intuition, energy, healing, and spiritual exploration. Along the way, she has worked with and supported more than 3,000 clients, helping people better understand not only their bodies and emotions.
- 1:14Jaclyn Strominger: but also their inner knowing. And today, she leads a 6-month Intuition Academy where she teaches people how to clear away years of conditioning Strengthen their intuitive abilities and reconnect with what she calls the inner compass, and she also creates an… And she also creates what she affectionately calls spiritual tourist retreats, experience built around sacred places, culture, great food, and meaningful connection, breathwork, and yes, even a little shopping. Okay, so… I could keep going on about all the great things, but welcome, Emily, to the podcast. I'm so excited to have you here.
- 1:54Emily Atlantis Wolf: Thanks, Jaclyn. I'm thrilled to be here, and I'm so glad that we're friends, that we're collaborative partners, that we hang out together in networking circles, and that we just… and that we've met in real life. We can't… not everybody can say that.
- 2:10Jaclyn Strominger: I know, I know, which is always so great. It's always fantastic when I have, you know, somebody that I know and love on the podcast, so it's so great. Okay, I have a crazy question, so… you, you know, as I'm sharing your introduction, you went from engineering to financial services to bodywork to intuition and spiritual work.
- 2:30Emily Atlantis Wolf: Yeah.
- 2:30Jaclyn Strominger: So, was there ever a moment when you looked, and even now, when you look at your life and you thought, oh my god, how did I get here?
- 2:40Emily Atlantis Wolf: No, I'm a pretty forward-facing person.
- 2:45Emily Atlantis Wolf: And what I mean by that is I don't often stop and say, would I have done anything differently? Would I have made a different choice, you know, gone down a different path? I'm the kind of person who will take what is happening and adjust, or adapt, or pivot, or find my way. So, I never wanted to be a civil engineer. My dad wanted me to be an engineer, because he's an engineer, and my brother wasn't smart enough to be an engineer, so he just told me.
- 3:15Emily Atlantis Wolf: you're going to be an engineer. I said, I want to be an English major.
- 3:20Emily Atlantis Wolf: I am a romantic. I want English, literature, poetry, and he said, no.
- 3:26Emily Atlantis Wolf: there's no money in it. So, I actually have both degrees. I have a degree in English, and a degree in civil engineering, and a minor in environmental engineering, because that's kind of my rebellion. I'll give you what you want, but I'm gonna get what I want as well.
- 3:41Emily Atlantis Wolf: And then it was just natural, because I'm a natural writer communicator, to move from the, you know, engineering assessments, to being the person who's writing them, to being the person who's presenting them, to being the person who's managing the project. And if you're in a project management situation.
- 3:58Emily Atlantis Wolf: you can take that skill to any business. And I didn't really like being out in the field, and out in the grass, and out everywhere. I like walking in the grass, I like being in nature, but working on… closing naval bases and places where they're researching chemical weapons. I mean, at that point, I didn't have any children yet, and I thought, I don't want to pick up something that prevents me from having children.
- 4:26Emily Atlantis Wolf: you know, environmental engineering puts you in some fairly dangerous situations, and I was a hazardous waste worker.
- 4:32Emily Atlantis Wolf: I was allowed to go in all kinds of places, so I went to a much safer place and got the heck out of there. But there was… there was never a time that I ever doubted my next step. I just kept asking, what's my next step? What's my next step? And then when my mom died, it was like, well.
- 4:50Emily Atlantis Wolf: I can't be in a cube. I already don't like being in a cube. I don't like being in beige walls, and beige carpeting, and beige people, and no bling, and nobody is joking, and having fun, and everybody is just… miserable together. So that's when I just pivoted into medical massage, because I had the freedom. And it turns out.
- 5:12Emily Atlantis Wolf: One of the journeys in life is to figure out what is your highest values. What are the things that you're willing to sacrifice the illusion of security, and I say that seriously, because when I was a consultant for a bank before Charles Schwab, they… the banks merged. One bank bought the other bank, and they let go of all 1,200 consultants without thinking.
- 5:37Emily Atlantis Wolf: They're like, nope, we have our own consultant. 1,200! It didn't matter if you were good at your job, good at your project, if you were managing, it didn't matter. It didn't matter. 1,200 people let go because they're not based in my city.
- 5:50Emily Atlantis Wolf: Security is an illusion. If you're sitting in a cube listening to this podcast, unless you've given yourself a job and a vision and a purpose.
- 5:59Emily Atlantis Wolf: they can fire you. There is someone who can decide tomorrow, we don't need you, instantly. And so, for me, I thought.
- 6:09Emily Atlantis Wolf: I need to create my own life.
- 6:11Emily Atlantis Wolf: I need to create my own vision, and I never looked back. After my mom died, it was like.
- 6:17Emily Atlantis Wolf: Okay, well, I have no security in my number one champion. I have no security at work.
- 6:26Emily Atlantis Wolf: So, I'm gonna do what I want to do, and my message, literally, my prayer was, okay, God, tell me what to do. And the next morning, because that was the last thing that I prayed about at night.
- 6:37Emily Atlantis Wolf: And the next morning, the word massage therapist was written in cursive on the pillow next to me. And I was a single mom, so it was like this big bright light, massage therapist.
- 6:47Emily Atlantis Wolf: I got the order, I went in, I quit that day.
- 6:51Emily Atlantis Wolf: And I went to medical massage school, and I never looked back.
- 6:55Jaclyn Strominger: That's so powerful. I mean, there's so many little nuggets in there, like, first of all, listeners, I think you have to… take the first thing that Emily said was.
- 7:05Jaclyn Strominger: not necessarily, you know, she did what she was told to do, but then found her own path, the thing that really was in her heart. So, the biggest thing that I would say to every single one of you… Is… find the thing that makes your heart sing.
- 7:19Jaclyn Strominger: Right? Really find the thing that makes your heart sing.
- 7:24Jaclyn Strominger: If your mother, father, sister, brother, whatever has told you you should be, if you don't want to be X, Y, or Z, And it's not your passion, then don't do it, because you're not gonna do it to your utmost… ability. Like, you're… it's not gonna… you might be super good at it, but are you gonna soar at it?
- 7:44Jaclyn Strominger: It's gonna be really hard.
- 7:46Emily Atlantis Wolf: And it might make you sick. It's very likely to give you a disease.
- 7:53Jaclyn Strominger: Right.
- 7:54Jaclyn Strominger: Because that actually… You know, doing things that you don't like actually can cause… Issues and things that will happen.
- 8:05Emily Atlantis Wolf: It leads to disease, it leads to all kinds of chronic conditions.
- 8:09Jaclyn Strominger: Yeah, it does. You know, and it's crazy how that happens. And, you know, happiness or unhappiness is huge… is a huge part of our health, right? And so we know, you know, you know that, but, you know, listeners, you know… sometimes a sick office is a sick office because people are miserable at the office, right? Yeah. So, think about where you are, right? And think if it's a healthy place or a healthy environment for you. So that's a really key thing. But the other thing that I… that I… that I… listeners, I really want to bring out that, you know.
- 8:41Jaclyn Strominger: is, that Emily said, is that… you know, It's… Sometimes the path and the opportunity… shows up in different ways. And so you have to be open to that, number one. And the other key part that you also said, which I think is really important, is security, job security.
- 9:04Jaclyn Strominger: you know, and that's, you know, you have an entire conference coming up, and we're talking about building relationships. That's where the biggest security that you can get is in the relationships that you build.
- 9:17Jaclyn Strominger: It's… it's important, right? Those… it really matters. So, Emily, you hit massage therapy, then you ended up going beyond that. What made you make that next leap?
- 9:29Emily Atlantis Wolf: I think it's just a natural… I would say it's a natural path. If you talk to massage therapists, they spend their day in the physical and non-physical world. So, for someone like me, who already sees… I see spirits, I see power animals, I see… archangels, I have… I have a strong relationship with my spiritual nature.
- 9:54Emily Atlantis Wolf: And so, for someone like me, if I'm gonna get into the healing world, which is doing, in my case, massage, then the moment that I present myself and say, okay, let whatever needs to happen and come through me, come through me, so that the person on the table can find relief.
- 10:11Emily Atlantis Wolf: Or advice, or inspiration, or just spend one hour not in debilitating pain.
- 10:20Emily Atlantis Wolf: I mean, when I was a massage therapist, my number one ability was I could float the pain body over people, so they had the ability to come in feeling huge amounts of pain.
- 10:32Emily Atlantis Wolf: And for an hour, I could just float it above them, a few inches above them, and they felt no pain at all. And then it's up to them. Do they want to feel it again? Then they'll let it settle back in. Do they want to let it go? There's lots of ways to let it go.
- 10:48Emily Atlantis Wolf: But there is a pain body, and that pain is telling you something.
- 10:53Emily Atlantis Wolf: But unfortunately, people don't want to face what the pain is telling them. The message may be, your shoulder hurts every time you go to work.
- 11:05Emily Atlantis Wolf: Okay, that's a message. You need to find another job. Oh, I can't find another job. Of course you can! If I was… I can't be fired because I have my own 3 businesses.
- 11:18Jaclyn Strominger: So, you just said, you know, it's so true that when somebody, you know.
- 11:22Jaclyn Strominger: Has that pain in their shoulder if they keep going to work.
- 11:27Jaclyn Strominger: You know, that's the pain, like, it happens.
- 11:30Jaclyn Strominger: Sometimes other people don't want to face what the real… the other real issue is that maybe they actually did something, and they don't want to face that, or maybe they've got something going on they don't want to sh… like…
- 11:41Emily Atlantis Wolf: There's so many things. I mean, pain is so many messages, but you can't ignore it. There is a message in there. Pain is always a message, and it's usually around something that you need to face, you need to pay attention to. It could be emotional, it could be physical.
- 11:57Emily Atlantis Wolf: But a lot of the physical stuff, it's the end result of a long line of choices.
- 12:03Emily Atlantis Wolf: So, if you're ignoring the pain for a long time, eventually it will catch up to you and become chronic, or it will become worse. And most people show up and find me when it's been bad for months, and then they want me to fix it.
- 12:18Jaclyn Strominger: Right, right. So, you went from massage, now… Share with what your…
- 12:25Emily Atlantis Wolf: It's a 16-year journey, so if you do massage work, you're gonna end up doing spiritual work, because You're… you're un… you're talking to people who are… they're in pain. Pain is always going to be a starting point for people. When it… when they cannot ignore it, then they're going to go to someone like me and say, I need help with this.
- 12:52Emily Atlantis Wolf: If you get into bodywork, You can't ignore the choices that a person made. This is not psychology. You can't be in your head, you can't be talking and saying, I'm doing all the right things, I'm taking all the right supplements, I'm doing yoga, I'm doing everything I'm supposed to, so I don't know why I have this pain.
- 13:11Emily Atlantis Wolf: Like, people that are in bodywork understand Your body is just as sacred as your mind.
- 13:18Emily Atlantis Wolf: And they… they understand the difference between a head and a heart.
- 13:22Emily Atlantis Wolf: And they understand if your heart is trying to get you to do one thing, and you're not listening, your body will suffer for it.
- 13:29Emily Atlantis Wolf: And after working on 3… over 3,000 people.
- 13:34Emily Atlantis Wolf: I did everything… I learned everything I could to help them. So I did kinesio taping, I did shamanic breathwork, I did lymphatic drainage, I did everything. But at the end of the day.
- 13:46Emily Atlantis Wolf: helping people find that answer that they maybe don't want to face is what I do.
- 13:54Jaclyn Strominger: So… Let's talk about the… the journey, the, the success journey. We were talking before, like, we, you know, before the show started, you know, success is… is… Something that you obviously, you know, each person can define, but do you ever really feel that you've hit success?
- 14:13Emily Atlantis Wolf: Oh my god, yeah, all the time.
- 14:14Emily Atlantis Wolf: I, I, I feel… I feel ultimately successful.
- 14:20Emily Atlantis Wolf: there's 3,000 people on the planet walking around in better shape because I'm here, and I said yes to leaving a corporate job and going into something as esoteric as medical massage and intuition teacher.
- 14:33Emily Atlantis Wolf: I have so many testimonials, multiple testimonials of people who took the time to write me a letter, or a card, or an email to say, you saved my life.
- 14:44Emily Atlantis Wolf: How many people can say, you saved my life? I don't care how much money is in your bank account, did anybody ever look at you and say, because of what you said, it shifted my awareness into a new place, you saved my life?
- 14:58Emily Atlantis Wolf: multiple people have said that to me. How could I not feel successful? What is there that's a higher purpose than helping people gain their own insight, shift their own thinking, and pivot their own life? Who cares if I did it? The ability for me to give that gift to other people is… absolutely my definition of success. And yes, my house is paid off, and my car is paid off, and there's very normal parameters around success that I could check off.
- 15:26Emily Atlantis Wolf: But again, those are meaningless. If my house was paid off and I did it.
- 15:31Emily Atlantis Wolf: In a way that was extraction economy and pulling out of people, making people feel that they needed to see me for hundreds of dollars, instead of teaching them how to heal themselves.
- 15:43Emily Atlantis Wolf: That's not success, that's extortion. So, I feel successful every day.
- 15:49Jaclyn Strominger: Right.
- 15:50Jaclyn Strominger: And along the way, though, as you were… as you… Went through different, you know, different… Practices and things that you were doing.
- 16:02Jaclyn Strominger: I think, like, was there ever, like, the doubt? Because some people think, or the fear of, am I going to make this work, or… You know, or… because, you know, success, again, it's not a linear line, you know, it goes up and down. So… you know.
- 16:19Emily Atlantis Wolf: I would say that if you're gonna… if you're gonna be in the business of being an entrepreneur, you can't be afraid to fail. And you should understand that rejection is redirection. You should understand that what you think is a failure means that you just can't see the bigger picture.
- 16:33Emily Atlantis Wolf: So if I reach out for something, and I start to do something, but it doesn't work, that means now I have information. Now I can say, how could I do it better? I love to say, make it, and then make it better.
- 16:45Emily Atlantis Wolf: But I've still impacted people along the way. I've still done what I was called to do. I still said yes to life and said, I'm gonna try it. So I don't really actually believe in failure. I believe that people have expectations, and if your personal expectations are what you're living on, yes! You're going to fail and be disappointed, because you can't always see the biggest picture. You can't see the divine design. And if you can zoom out of your life for a minute, look at how many people were positively influenced by you and your, what you're calling a failure.
- 17:24Emily Atlantis Wolf: So always remember, not trying is the greatest failure. The success comes by getting out of bed and trying again.
- 17:33Emily Atlantis Wolf: You win by trying, you don't win because you have achieved something that you wanted. That's just… there's always a higher mountain, so you just keep going, and you're grateful that you have the opportunity to keep going. That's the way I look at it.
- 17:50Jaclyn Strominger: And I think that's actually a great way, I mean, you… because it is, like, we… You know, you get to one… the top of one mountain, and yeah, and there's another mountain to climb. It's always a building process, and you're always, hopefully, learning along the way. You may have taken a wrong turn at one point, but you learn from that, right? You know, that whole, as I share all the time, it's like that measure, monitor, and adjust.
- 18:17Emily Atlantis Wolf: Yes!
- 18:17Jaclyn Strominger: doing, we're monitoring what we're doing, and then we're adjusting.
- 18:21Jaclyn Strominger: to tweak things, right? So, as you said, you might do something, and it's not a failure, it's a learn.
- 18:27Emily Atlantis Wolf: Every time.
- 18:29Jaclyn Strominger: every… yeah, every time it's a learn. So… as you were… as you've been going on this journey, you know, we were talking before, you know, success to me is also one of those things that, you know, we said, you never arrive. You're always… We're always a work in progress.
- 18:47Jaclyn Strominger: So, how does that play out into what you do every day?
- 18:54Emily Atlantis Wolf: I… I think my… my biggest… go-to ritual is to ask, how can I be of service? How can I be helpful today? What can I do today to… I don't see it in terms of success. I see it… I affiliate more with the unstoppable part. I feel unstoppable in my ability to keep asking and say.
- 19:18Emily Atlantis Wolf: Where else can I be helpful? What else can I do? Who else can I reach? How can I expand my abilities to provide more for people? My goal is to give all of my knowledge away.
- 19:36Emily Atlantis Wolf: So, as a teacher, I'm constantly learning.
- 19:39Emily Atlantis Wolf: because I'm neurodivergent, when I learn something, I learn it really well and completely and thoroughly. That means that I can explain it to executives, or children, or people that are not so… or consider themselves not so spiritual, people that are super spiritual. I can speak all of these languages and walk between all of these worlds. So, to me, the daily question is.
- 20:06Emily Atlantis Wolf: What do you want me to do?
- 20:08Emily Atlantis Wolf: And I just ask the higher power, what do you want me to do? And I listen. And I think that people get messages all the time, but the difference for me is that I act on all of them.
- 20:18Emily Atlantis Wolf: when I get a message.
- 20:21Emily Atlantis Wolf: You need to go and help her stop drinking. She's drinking at work. She's an alcoholic. It's… it's really bad.
- 20:27Emily Atlantis Wolf: Okay, that's my mission today. I'll go do that.
- 20:31Jaclyn Strominger: Okay, so Emily, so… So, I know that, you know, right now you've got some amazing things that are happening, and you have… you do retreats, so talk a little bit about what… what started the retreats, and… The Intuition Academy.
- 20:48Emily Atlantis Wolf: So, the Intuition Academy started because I did a course, and someone said, it would be nice if you could teach this course instead of just sell this course. So I did it over a month, and people said, this isn't enough, so I did it over 3 months, and they said, that's not enough either. So I did over 6 months, and people made progress, but then they just stayed in the program.
- 21:07Emily Atlantis Wolf: So, It's the kind of program you can go through again and again and again, because you're creating a dream reality. You're spending 6 months going through the elemental changes, so it's water, earth, fire, air, and it's very… tangible, but essentially, that's what I'm doing, is I'm taking people through a shamanic path. And because you're always recreating your dream reality, it's very easy to say, oh, now that I… sold my 5 hotels and moved to St. Louis, I'm ready to do something else. You know, now that I, am 74 and for the first time lost 45 pounds and lowered my cholesterol 25 points, I want to do something else.
- 21:49Emily Atlantis Wolf: So people keep coming back because they have new dreams, and it's taking a dream into reality. So there's that program, which is Phenomenal. That's my… That's my best program, I love that program so much.
- 22:03Emily Atlantis Wolf: The retreats really started because I love to travel, and I've always loved to travel.
- 22:08Emily Atlantis Wolf: It was just a natural thing my whole life. It's… You know, give me the map, give me… give me the reason to go.
- 22:16Emily Atlantis Wolf: Kind of taking the retreats from that little kid who helped pack the back of the car to the person who's going to be taking people to Peru, and it's… it's still the same person.
- 22:28Emily Atlantis Wolf: And it's still the excitement of travel. It's really just… Being really good at being the person who can easily organize that kind of trip. And travel, to me, is easy. It's just easy, it's easy excitement, it's easy fun.
- 22:47Emily Atlantis Wolf: And so, it's no surprise that the little girl who was packing the back of the station wagon is the adult who's taking people to Peru.
- 22:56Emily Atlantis Wolf: Because I love maps, I love traveling, I love meeting new people, and I love sharing that experience. And what I didn't know is that there's plenty of people who don't enjoy organizing those kind of trips, but they love to go on them.
- 23:11Emily Atlantis Wolf: So I was like, great! Let's go to sacred sites, let's lay on sacred land, let's go shopping, let's eat good food, let's stay in great little boutique-y hotels, let's go places where I know people, and I know people all around the world, so we're always in good hands, and let's have some fun!
- 23:30Jaclyn Strominger: Right, right, I love that.
- 23:32Jaclyn Strominger: So, Emily, so what is the next thing that's… that… that is exciting and that you… that's on your horizon that you're doing?
- 23:40Emily Atlantis Wolf: Right now, all of my attention is with my women's networking event. So, the Connected Queens Conference is 40 women coming together and networking the way that women network, which is not sort of that speed dating, how fast can we exchange business cards, but it's nourishing networking time together. So, there's 5 speakers, including the unstoppable Jaclyn Strominger.
- 24:07Jaclyn Strominger: there, listeners.
- 24:08Emily Atlantis Wolf: I will be.
- 24:08Jaclyn Strominger: there, so you have, if you get your… get your… A ticket.
- 24:11Emily Atlantis Wolf: Or, like, when.
- 24:12Jaclyn Strominger: Are you there?
- 24:13Emily Atlantis Wolf: Yes, absolutely. October 16, 17, 18, in Cleveland. It's an annual event.
- 24:20Emily Atlantis Wolf: And Jaclyn's gonna be my guest next year, because every speaker that speaks is my guest the following year. So you get a free ticket and free invitation the following year. But what I like about it is that it's small, and I… I guess it's a product of being at events I didn't have a good time at, and I thought could be done better. And as a natural organizer, I thought, this is so easy. Just get people together and let them talk to each other.
- 24:46Emily Atlantis Wolf: but also let them learn. So, 5 speakers, 2 hours for networking, 2 hours after it's done, have lunch together, have dinner together, and have both a mastermind mentality, but also just organic conversations and collaborations and time to say, hey, I had a follow-up question about that. Do you have a minute, or… You know, now that you said that, it made me think about this, and now I've had some time about it. Could we get together afterwards? Could we… Do a workshop together? Could we do something together?
- 25:20Emily Atlantis Wolf: And I made it so easy. I have a directory for everyone who registers, you don't need to worry about business cards, you don't need to worry about the transactional piece of it. All of, you know, by staying in a hotel, all the food is taken care of. We're in the ballroom. We have this beautiful place to be in downtown Cleveland.
- 25:37Emily Atlantis Wolf: everything is recorded. We have fantastic vendors that are gonna be there. It's so easy.
- 25:44Emily Atlantis Wolf: But yet, no one does it. And it is a lot of work, don't let me… Don't let me sugarcoat it. It's a lot of work.
- 25:52Jaclyn Strominger: Easy for somebody who enjoys doing it, hard for somebody who doesn't, so… yeah, right? So, Emily does a great job with that, so that's why it's easy for her, you know? But… so that's fantastic. So, listeners, you gotta do me a favor. You gotta come to Cleveland for October 16th, it's gonna be an amazing, amazing, event.
- 26:12Jaclyn Strominger: So, how, Emily, share with everybody how everybody can, connect with you, learn more about all the great work that you do, and about this amazing conference.

You can find all the retreats, including all the early bird prices, and the details and registration for the conference. All of my offerings are on AtlantisWolf.com.
