- 0:43Dayna Roselli: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 311.
- 0:47Dayna Roselli: Dana Roselli and Sean McAllister here.
- 0:50Dayna Roselli: What are the odds that this is dropping on March 11th week?
- 0:56Dayna Roselli: 311.
- 0:57Dayna Roselli: It's like 311 day.
- 0:59Dayna Roselli: This is episode 311.
- 1:00Dayna Roselli: We didn't even set it up that way.
- 1:02Sean McAllister: Well, and the band 311 always comes to Vegas to play on 311 Day, too.
- 1:07Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 1:07Dayna Roselli: So it's just like, I don't even know how this happened, but we're right in there.
- 1:11Sean McAllister: It's a happy coincidence.
- 1:13Dayna Roselli: All right, we're going to talk about Metallica in just a minute, but first let's talk Circus Circus Bingo.
- 1:18Dayna Roselli: We have talked about it in the past.
- 1:20Dayna Roselli: We did interviews, but we actually wanted to go and play because we went on a media night.
- 1:25Sean McAllister: We did.
- 1:26Sean McAllister: And so that does that was uh it gave us a taste of what to expect from the bingo experience at Circus Circus, but we wanted to go back as just regular paying customers so that we got the real feel, the real vibe.
- 1:45Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 1:45Dayna Roselli: And we went to a Saturday night 7 p.m.
- 1:48Dayna Roselli: time slot.
- 1:49Dayna Roselli: Uh there was a nine after, I think a 5:30 before, but um, it was 30 bucks.
- 1:53Dayna Roselli: And we got around to bingo.
- 1:55Dayna Roselli: Um, we had our daubers already, but you can purchase one there.
- 1:59Dayna Roselli: I think it's like three bucks if that.
- 2:01Dayna Roselli: Um, and then you do get the two free drink tickets.
- 2:05Dayna Roselli: So just so you know, if you're going, uh red or white wine, beer, water, soda are the options.
- 2:11Sean McAllister: Yeah, which isn't bad.
- 2:12Dayna Roselli: It's great.
- 2:13Dayna Roselli: Two drink, two free drinks.
- 2:14Dayna Roselli: So wonderful.
- 2:16Sean McAllister: And then they have more options there for you as well if you want to purchase any other mixed drinks, anything like that.
- 2:23Sean McAllister: Um, but yeah, those are the the free things that are included in your bingo price.
- 2:28Dayna Roselli: Yeah, because I see a lot of Reddit posts, people asking questions.
- 2:30Dayna Roselli: So we thought we'd get some of these out there.
- 2:32Dayna Roselli: Um, they had not, they didn't have the soft pretzels, but they had popcorn and hot dogs.
- 2:37Dayna Roselli: And according to the wonderful guy selling us the hot dogs, he said that these are well-known hot dogs in New York City and that they are all beef hot dogs.
- 2:49Dayna Roselli: You got one, uh Robin got one, Shane got one, they were three bucks.
- 2:53Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 2:53Dayna Roselli: And I think the popcorn was like two dollars.
- 2:55Dayna Roselli: Um, but how was it for a three-dollar hot dog?
- 2:59Sean McAllister: I mean, it was a good three-dollar hot dog.
- 3:01Sean McAllister: It's been a long time since I've had a three-dollar hot dog, and it was it was good.
- 3:06Sean McAllister: Anytime something's three bucks, it automatically ups the good value of it, right?
- 3:11Dayna Roselli: Well, you had a weird combination.
- 3:12Dayna Roselli: So I was thinking to myself, and I meant to ask you there, how was it having red wine and a hot dog?
- 3:18Sean McAllister: Oh, it was fine.
- 3:19Sean McAllister: I can have red wine with anything.
- 3:21Sean McAllister: I can have red wine with my lucky charms in the morning.
- 3:24Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 3:25Dayna Roselli: Well, I had white wine, water, and popcorn.
- 3:27Dayna Roselli: And uh the popcorn was good, very, though, like um, you know, just like you'd get at a carnival.
- 3:32Dayna Roselli: I mean, salty, the butter, you know, like it was I I almost felt like I was having like bowling alley popcorn because bowling alley is I hung out at the bowling alley growing up.
- 3:42Dayna Roselli: We didn't have things like we do in Vegas, and it was like bowling alley popcorn.
- 3:46Dayna Roselli: So it brings you back.
- 3:47Dayna Roselli: Everything is very old school.
- 3:48Dayna Roselli: Uh, we played, we didn't win.
- 3:50Dayna Roselli: Um, they did have a raffle, though.
- 3:51Dayna Roselli: You get a raffle ticket when you walk in that they just hand you with your$30 purchase, and they do raffle off one steak dinner at the steakhouse, which is great.
- 4:01Dayna Roselli: I didn't know they were gonna be doing that all the time.
- 4:03Sean McAllister: That was an unexpected surprise.
- 4:06Sean McAllister: I guess surprises are usually unexpected, but that was a surprise when we went and played.
- 4:11Sean McAllister: They also uh handed out coupons for um money off of uh steak dinner at uh the Circus Circus Steakhouse 2, which is like an old school steakhouse kind of vibe.
- 4:26Dayna Roselli: I love that steakhouse.
- 4:27Dayna Roselli: It's been one of my favorites ever since I moved here.
- 4:29Dayna Roselli: It's still open.
- 4:30Dayna Roselli: I'm so glad.
- 4:31Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 4:32Dayna Roselli: Um we also played a little$5 roulette on the way out, which was fun.
- 4:38Dayna Roselli: You and I kind of often talk about we don't really talk about we don't gamble tons.
- 4:43Dayna Roselli: I know you like the slot machines and stuff like that, but we did play some roulette because it was like a five-dollar minimum.
- 4:48Dayna Roselli: And I was like, all right, well, we can do that.
- 4:50Sean McAllister: I mean, that's a great that that is the kind of roulette I like to play.
- 4:54Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 4:55Sean McAllister: At a five dollar minimum, you can, you know, get$20 worth of chips and play a few hands, and especially if you hit in one of the first couple rounds, and you're gonna be playing for a little bit.
- 5:08Sean McAllister: Yeah, which is nice.
- 5:09Dayna Roselli: And we played, and there were other people there, and then we're talking about the roulette just as you exit the bingo hall.
- 5:14Dayna Roselli: So it's in that area, it's in an area that's got a lot of slot machines now, fresh new carpet.
- 5:19Dayna Roselli: They really did a nice job over there.
- 5:21Dayna Roselli: Um, so FYI, uh, we double I doubled our money.
- 5:26Sean McAllister: You did, which was great.
- 5:28Dayna Roselli: So we did, but you have to cash out.
- 5:31Dayna Roselli: You gotta say, nope, okay, I'm done.
- 5:32Dayna Roselli: So we did that.
- 5:33Dayna Roselli: So that was exciting.
- 5:34Sean McAllister: Well, that is that's the part of uh gaming that the gaming operators hope that you do not do.
- 5:41SPEAKER_08: Exactly.
- 5:42Sean McAllister: They don't want you to cash out when you're at the top, they want you to like have that mentality where it's like, ooh, if I just doubled my money, I could just I could double it again.
- 5:53SPEAKER_08: Right.
- 5:53Sean McAllister: Let's just go all in with everything I just won.
- 5:56Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 5:56Sean McAllister: And then you're wiped out.
- 5:58Sean McAllister: That's what they bet on.
- 6:00Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 6:00Dayna Roselli: But we walked away.
- 6:02Sean McAllister: We walked away.
- 6:03Dayna Roselli: So winner, winner.
- 6:04Dayna Roselli: Had a lot of fun.
- 6:05Dayna Roselli: Um, we went to bingo because earlier in the day I actually went to the adventure dome.
- 6:09Dayna Roselli: And to be honest, I don't think I've ever walked into the adventure dome.
- 6:12Dayna Roselli: So I just want to quickly go over that.
- 6:14Dayna Roselli: When I was there, I was like, you know what?
- 6:16Dayna Roselli: We should all, I should text Sean and Robin, and we should all play bingo tonight.
- 6:19Dayna Roselli: And so that's how that happened.
- 6:20Dayna Roselli: It was like the reminder of being at Circus Circus.
- 6:23Dayna Roselli: So I was full day at Circus Circus.
- 6:24Sean McAllister: And I said bingo, okay.
- 6:25Sean McAllister: I'm in.
- 6:26Dayna Roselli: You yeah, you did.
- 6:27Dayna Roselli: Um look, Circus Circus was packed in the day and when we went at night, by the way.
- 6:32Dayna Roselli: We were like, this is like a full-on, like it felt like I was at the New Jersey boardwalk, but indoors, right?
- 6:39Dayna Roselli: There were, you know, gelato stands and trinkets and rides and games.
- 6:45Dayna Roselli: I mean, Circus Circus definitely serves a purpose.
- 6:48Dayna Roselli: And we've talked about that before.
- 6:49Dayna Roselli: They stay true to themselves, they offer exactly what you'd expect.
- 6:53Dayna Roselli: Um, Adventure Dome, though, I've never been in.
- 6:55Dayna Roselli: The kids loved it.
- 6:56Dayna Roselli: Um, they had unlimited rides, and I was shocked at how many rides they do have, such a variety.
- 7:02Dayna Roselli: I mean, they have everything from the swings and teacups to like two roller coasters.
- 7:07Dayna Roselli: I don't know what everything's called, but like the roundabout, the they have uh trampoline things, rock climbing.
- 7:15Dayna Roselli: Um, they had uh things that you got into and they went all the way full circle, all the all the way around and then held you up in the air.
- 7:23Dayna Roselli: Like they had some like adult-ish ride, like some daring rides.
- 7:28Sean McAllister: Like kind of the old pirate ship kind of ride, except it stops upside down.
- 7:33Dayna Roselli: Stops upside down.
- 7:34Sean McAllister: Oh, jeez.
- 7:35Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 7:35Dayna Roselli: I was like, wow.
- 7:36Sean McAllister: I don't know that I need to go, like I'll go on amusement park rides, but I don't feel the need to go upside down.
- 7:45Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 7:45Sean McAllister: Because on the chance that I fall out, I don't really want that.
- 7:48Dayna Roselli: That's what me and my friend were saying.
- 7:50Dayna Roselli: No way.
- 7:51Dayna Roselli: What if that harness doesn't work?
- 7:53Dayna Roselli: But listen, I've done it a million times when I was younger.
- 7:56Dayna Roselli: You have no fear.
- 7:57Dayna Roselli: The kids loved it, and you know, everyone was safe.
- 8:00Dayna Roselli: It was a it was a good experience.
- 8:02Dayna Roselli: Um also very clean in there, uh, just really nice.
- 8:06Dayna Roselli: Um, lots of food and games.
- 8:08Dayna Roselli: Some now the games are extra.
- 8:10Dayna Roselli: You have to load up a card to play games and stuff, but old school games like the fishing with the magnet and you win a prize, you know, throw the ball into the the pond and it try and get it into one of the little lily pads or whatever.
- 8:22Dayna Roselli: You know, I mean, like things you would see at festivals and carnivals and amusement parks when you were younger, when we were younger.
- 8:29Sean McAllister: Right.
- 8:29Sean McAllister: Well, and then they have the uh arcade that's separate from the adventure dome where they have like every claw game that you could imagine.
- 8:36Sean McAllister: We've gone and played that before.
- 8:38Dayna Roselli: We have, and they have claw games in the adventure dome as well, plenty of those.
- 8:41Dayna Roselli: I feel like claw games are just a thing now, but I feel like because they're kind of a money sock.
- 8:47Sean McAllister: I was gonna say, it's hard to step away from a claw game.
- 8:49Dayna Roselli: It is when you're like, oh, I almost had it.
- 8:53Dayna Roselli: They have laser like tags in there, VR, ever anyway.
- 8:57Dayna Roselli: Uh it's huge, it's big, but it's not like a um like you go around, but it's not like so massive where you're like, I've been walking all day.
- 9:05SPEAKER_08: Right, right.
- 9:06Dayna Roselli: But it's big enough.
- 9:07Dayna Roselli: I was really impressed.
- 9:08Dayna Roselli: But on the way out, I wanted to mention this.
- 9:10Dayna Roselli: If you do have kids, this might be something because my friend was looking at this going, this isn't bad.
- 9:15Dayna Roselli: Um, I took a picture of it.
- 9:16Dayna Roselli: They have an annual pass, uh, like packages, a fun pass for$299.
- 9:24Dayna Roselli: Um, no blackout dates.
- 9:26Dayna Roselli: You get unlimited ride wristbands uh for every visit.
- 9:31SPEAKER_04: Wow.
- 9:31Dayna Roselli: So I thought that was pretty good.
- 9:33Dayna Roselli: And then$159 a year for junior.
- 9:36Dayna Roselli: And I think we asked, and that was four feet and under.
- 9:39SPEAKER_08: Okay.
- 9:40Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 9:40Dayna Roselli: Um, I think it was four feet.
- 9:42Dayna Roselli: I don't think it was four years old and under.
- 9:43Dayna Roselli: I think she was four feet.
- 9:44Dayna Roselli: Um, anyway, so you'll have to check that on your own.
- 9:48Dayna Roselli: But yeah, they have the fun pass and then they have the elite pass, which was$369, and that was an unlimited fast pass.
- 9:58Dayna Roselli: So you must be able to hop around.
- 9:59Sean McAllister: Oh, got it.
- 10:00Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 10:00Dayna Roselli: You know, and then the wristband.
- 10:02Dayna Roselli: But we were thinking like if you're gonna if your kids love it and it entertains them and you need things to keep them busy, and then in the summer when it gets hot, yes, it's indoors.
- 10:11Dayna Roselli: So I mean,$299 is not a bad deal for unlimited.
- 10:14Sean McAllister: Well, and especially if you live in Las Vegas and it's an easy thing to pop over to the adventure dome.
- 10:21SPEAKER_08: Right.
- 10:21Sean McAllister: Or if you live close enough, if you're in southern Utah, if you're in Southern California, even Arizona, like you're close enough to make multiple trips every year.
- 10:31Sean McAllister: So it would be worth it.
- 10:33Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 10:33Dayna Roselli: So anyway, I think that's great.
- 10:35Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it was a great experience, had a lot of fun.
- 10:38Dayna Roselli: Um, I was talking to someone who said, Oh, I went to the adventure dome and it wasn't that busy recently.
- 10:41Dayna Roselli: And I so I know it was busy that day.
- 10:44Dayna Roselli: I know people are doing birthday parties there and stuff.
- 10:45Dayna Roselli: I mean, I guess it just depends.
- 10:47Dayna Roselli: So I don't know if there's like, you know, in Vegas, it's hard to pinpoint and say, go at this time, it's slower or busier.
- 10:52Dayna Roselli: I feel like it just kind of depends on who's taking the family out, uh, who's having birthday parties, maybe what conventions are in town, and all that kind of thing.
- 11:02Dayna Roselli: So yeah.
- 11:03Dayna Roselli: Um, but let's talk Metallica.
- 11:05Dayna Roselli: They added uh dates like twice already.
- 11:08Dayna Roselli: And I we don't even need to go through them.
- 11:10Dayna Roselli: There's like more dates in October, November, January.
- 11:13Sean McAllister: So they're gonna be here into 2027 at this point.
- 11:16Dayna Roselli: I looked it up already, Sean, right before the show, and I clicked on every date, most dates in October.
- 11:22Dayna Roselli: I clicked in November, everything says sold out.
- 11:25Dayna Roselli: So they're completely sold out.
- 11:27Dayna Roselli: I did go to January.
- 11:29Dayna Roselli: Remember, we said they're doing the two nights where there are no repeat songs?
- 11:32Dayna Roselli: Yep.
- 11:33Dayna Roselli: So uh this one is a two-day ticket.
- 11:36Dayna Roselli: Um, I clicked on the farthest I could, January 28th of 2027.
- 11:44Dayna Roselli: And January 30th of 2027.
- 11:48Dayna Roselli: Um, and they do have meet and greet snake pit two-day experience passes.
- 11:56Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 11:56Dayna Roselli: One of those cost, right now, at the moment that I'm looking, I don't know if it's subject to change, five thousand nine hundred and fifty-four dollars and twelve cents.
- 12:05Sean McAllister: So that's the VIP, that's a meet and greet, you're in the snake pit.
- 12:10Sean McAllister: In the snake pit.
- 12:13Dayna Roselli: Right, which is right in front of the stage.
- 12:15Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 12:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 12:16Sean McAllister: So I mean, listen.
- 12:18Sean McAllister: If you've been waiting to see Metallica up close and you want to say hi to them, right.
- 12:22Sean McAllister: There you go.
- 12:23Sean McAllister: That's what was.
- 12:24Sean McAllister: And listen to all of their songs over two nights.
- 12:26Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 12:26Dayna Roselli: And meet them and do all that and be in the snake pit.
- 12:29Dayna Roselli: That's three thousand dollars a night.
- 12:31Dayna Roselli: So there you have it.
- 12:32Dayna Roselli: But that's again, that's just that was the only time I could even get an option of getting a ticket when I clicked on that.
- 12:39Dayna Roselli: So I have a feeling more shows will be announced.
- 12:43Dayna Roselli: If you have had a purchasing experience, send us a text.
- 12:46Dayna Roselli: We always have a link in our show notes.
- 12:48Dayna Roselli: You can text us.
- 12:49Dayna Roselli: We don't get your phone number or your name or anything like that.
- 12:52Dayna Roselli: But if you want to give us any, like, hey, I went on, you know, they had more dates, whatever, they had more tickets released, and I was able to grab two, let us know your experience.
- 13:00Sean McAllister: Yeah, and this is for uh Metallica's first ever Las Vegas residency at Sphere.
- 13:05Sean McAllister: It's called Life Burns Faster, debuting in October and going until well, we don't even know at this point.
- 13:12Dayna Roselli: We don't know.
- 13:12Sean McAllister: They're just gonna keep on rocking, I think.
- 13:14Dayna Roselli: I know, but you were saying, and I don't remember if this was in the TV show or the audio podcast, though, that like with the visuals are gonna be insane, and if they're not repeating songs, then that means all the visuals will be different on Thursday and Fry uh Saturdays.
- 13:28Sean McAllister: So So it should be uh yeah, a different experience each night that you go.
- 13:32Sean McAllister: So if you get that that combo ticket, yeah, you you should be in for quite a quite an experience throughout the the two days.
- 13:44Dayna Roselli: Well, if you can't make it to Metallica and you want to get your rock fix, there's a new show at the Hard Rock Cafe on the strip, not the Hard Rock Hotel, it's the Hard Rock Cafe, kind of across from Park MGM.
- 13:54Dayna Roselli: A couple nuggets I wanted to share.
- 13:56Dayna Roselli: Um, there's a new show called Icons of Rock, and they have shows I just quickly looked through March, uh like March 12th, 13th, 14th, March 16th, 18th, 25th, 26th, 27th.
- 14:09Dayna Roselli: Uh, they do eight o'clock shows there at the Hard Rock Cafe.
- 14:12Dayna Roselli: And they basically, you know, are tribute rock artists.
- 14:17Dayna Roselli: You're gonna get your Ozzy Osborne, your Kiss, your heart, your Van Halen, Alice Cooper, Queen, Rob Zombie, all that.
- 14:24Dayna Roselli: Um, apparently they're great.
- 14:26Dayna Roselli: And so if you love that kind of music, you and I always say we love a good tribute band.
- 14:30Dayna Roselli: They just sing me the hits.
- 14:31Dayna Roselli: You know what I mean?
- 14:32Dayna Roselli: Absolutely.
- 14:33Dayna Roselli: So yeah, now you're gonna have a variety of music.
- 14:36Dayna Roselli: Um, so I wanted to let people know about that.
- 14:38Dayna Roselli: That's an option there at the Hard Rock Cafe.
- 14:41Dayna Roselli: But then when I was reading over the information, I noticed that locals and sports fans always receive a 20% off discount on food and merchandise with a state ID, a game ticket, or team attire at the Hard Rock Cafe.
- 14:55Sean McAllister: And that's great because Hard Rock Cafe is uh like you mentioned, is just across the street from Park MGM.
- 15:03Sean McAllister: And if you walk down that little street next to Park MGM, that's where T-Mobile Arena is.
- 15:09Sean McAllister: And I know that uh for a long time, people have stopped in to kind of pre-game at the Hard Rock Cafe and then just walk over to T-Mobile Arena for a Golden Knights game.
- 15:23Sean McAllister: And especially once the weather starts to get nice and all that, they have the the patio there at the Hard Rock as well.
- 15:29Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 15:29Sean McAllister: Um, so that is a great option if you're going to a game or a concert or uh anything over in that area of the strip, uh, especially if you're in your team gear where you have a game ticket.
- 15:44Dayna Roselli: Good for yeah, it's a good spot.
- 15:46Dayna Roselli: 20% discount.
- 15:48Dayna Roselli: That's good.
- 15:48Sean McAllister: And they have a great uh where they do the shows up on the second level at Hard Rock Cafe, is it second or third level?
- 15:56Sean McAllister: They have an entire stage uh in a uh giant floor area.
- 16:01Sean McAllister: It's a great spot to go and see shows too.
- 16:04Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you can sit and I think you can like eat and drink while you're watching.
- 16:09Dayna Roselli: Oh yeah.
- 16:09Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so so that's kind of fun too.
- 16:11Dayna Roselli: Um, they have a newly launched breakfast menu, too, by the way.
- 16:14Dayna Roselli: If you're just doing that, stroll along the strip or you want to eat breakfast, then go to a game or something like that.
- 16:20Dayna Roselli: Uh, they have lunch and dinner options, and they're doing a bunch of limited time things for International Women's Month, too.
- 16:27Dayna Roselli: So keep that in mind.
- 16:28Dayna Roselli: So just a little shout out to the Hard Rock Cafe.
- 16:30Dayna Roselli: I know we talk about, you know, the guitar tower being built for the Hard Rock Hotel on the strip.
- 16:34Dayna Roselli: We talk about the former Hard Rock Hotel just off the strip that's now virgin, but a little love to the Hard Rock Cafe.
- 16:40Sean McAllister: Yes, a mainstay, a staple that's been there on Las Vegas Boulevard for uh a long time now.
- 16:47Sean McAllister: Well, hey, sticking with a little bit of music news, Jonas Brothers are coming back to Vegas.
- 16:53Sean McAllister: I feel like they have been uh regulars, they're always playing here at some point, right?
- 16:58Sean McAllister: Uh, they're bringing their tour here to uh Las Vegas now.
- 17:03Sean McAllister: This is the greetings from your hometown tour when they're here in Vegas.
- 17:07Sean McAllister: It's going to be the greetings from Las Vegas show.
- 17:10Dayna Roselli: Love that.
- 17:10Dayna Roselli: Now, are they doing because they're doing multiple shows?
- 17:13Dayna Roselli: It's almost like a little teeny mini, mini, mini residence.
- 17:15Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 17:16Dayna Roselli: But I wonder if they're doing multiple shows in other cities or we're just getting them for four nights.
- 17:20Sean McAllister: I mean, I don't know.
- 17:21Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 17:22Sean McAllister: I think they love Las Vegas.
- 17:24Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 17:24Sean McAllister: And so they want to give the Vegas crowd some great shows, which you'll get.
- 17:30Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you will.
- 17:31Dayna Roselli: May 20th, the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th.
- 17:35Dayna Roselli: Uh, Park MGM, Dolby Live.
- 17:38Dayna Roselli: I've never seen them live before.
- 17:41Dayna Roselli: I've interviewed them, but I've never seen them live.
- 17:43Dayna Roselli: So I need to get to a show over there, but they are just great.
- 17:47Dayna Roselli: I love them.
- 17:49Sean McAllister: Yeah, I don't think it's people.
- 17:50Sean McAllister: I've seen them either.
- 17:52Sean McAllister: But every so I've gotten into, I don't know what it keeps coming up in my algorithm.
- 17:58Sean McAllister: Um, the like they're the director of their show who directs all the the cameras and everything like that.
- 18:06Sean McAllister: They do behind the scenes videos of like calling the shots and punching up the especially during the finale.
- 18:12Sean McAllister: Um, they do behind the scenes videos on reels and on Instagram, and I get sucked into watching that.
- 18:18Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's interesting, right?
- 18:20Sean McAllister: It really is.
- 18:21Sean McAllister: And like seeing where the different band members are, getting camera five to get disc, come back out to camera eight for a sweeping crowd shot.
- 18:30Dayna Roselli: Listen, I mean, I always feel like behind the scenes videos are where it's at.
- 18:33Dayna Roselli: Those are what suck me in.
- 18:35Dayna Roselli: I would much rather see that than uh get ready with me.
- 18:40Dayna Roselli: But that's me.
- 18:42Dayna Roselli: Uh so Jonas Brothers, yeah, you can see them here in Las Vegas.
- 18:45Dayna Roselli: Uh, greetings from your hometown tour.
- 18:48Dayna Roselli: Um, greetings from Las Vegas this May, 20th, 22, 23, 24.
- 18:54Dayna Roselli: And who knows, maybe they'll be back again soon, too.
- 18:57Dayna Roselli: Hey, we went to see Frankie Marino.
- 18:58Dayna Roselli: We talk talked about this uh last week and said we would get a little more in depth and share the interview we did with him.
- 19:03Dayna Roselli: Uh, Frankie's been a longtime performer in Las Vegas, a great piano player.
- 19:08Dayna Roselli: He's on the harmonica, he sings, he does it all.
- 19:10Dayna Roselli: He had a show, I feel like uh golden nugget in the strat way back before 2020.
- 19:18Dayna Roselli: And he was on fire just doing shows and had a residency and people loving it.
- 19:24Dayna Roselli: And now he's does shows at the Smith Center and the South Point all over Las Vegas.
- 19:28Dayna Roselli: Um, but he has never done the international theater, which is a big theater at the Westgate.
- 19:33Sean McAllister: Yeah, and so uh Frankie teamed up with Westgate to put on a special show inside the international theater, which uh I mean you could tell that Frankie was just so honored to be there performing on a stage where so many music greats have performed over the the time that the Westgate has been there, and before that, the International Hotel, and it was the Hilton in between there too.
- 19:57Sean McAllister: But that stage has just been home to so many uh incredibly iconic performances and performers.
- 20:06Dayna Roselli: Performers.
- 20:07Dayna Roselli: And you'll hear in the interview, um, that Frankie said, you know, I'm not trying to do like a tribute show, but I want to just bring back some of the things that were really cool about Vegas, and that's like people showing up to the shows.
- 20:18Dayna Roselli: And so, since you won't be able to see this uh visually, uh Tony Orlando was there in the audience and got up, you'll hear him at the end, uh, talk about how, you know, he Frankie is so talented and things like that.
- 20:31Dayna Roselli: Well, let's see, Jerry Lewis's daughter had a moment.
- 20:34Dayna Roselli: Uh Zoe Bowie, who performs uh at downtown and all over Las Vegas, was there.
- 20:40Dayna Roselli: So many performers.
- 20:41Dayna Roselli: Sky D.
- 20:42Dayna Roselli: Miles was in the audience, uh, Jennifer Romus of The Sexy Show.
- 20:47Dayna Roselli: Um, a lot of TV personalities were there.
- 20:50Dayna Roselli: And the list goes on.
- 20:51Dayna Roselli: Just like Vegas really embraced this show.
- 20:54Dayna Roselli: And that theater was full.
- 20:56Dayna Roselli: And they announced that he's doing another show in May.
- 21:00Dayna Roselli: Uh, so it was supposed to be just one, and now he's got two.
- 21:04Dayna Roselli: And he told us, like, I just really wanted to bring back this type of show.
- 21:09Dayna Roselli: There's room for everything.
- 21:10Dayna Roselli: Loves the sports, loves the headliner shows, loves all the A-listers being here.
- 21:15Dayna Roselli: But he said, you know, there used to be like 20 of me, and now I feel like I'm like, you know, one of the only ones left.
- 21:20Sean McAllister: Last man standing.
- 21:21Sean McAllister: Last man standing.
- 21:22Sean McAllister: But yeah, it was a uh good conversation with Frankie on the red carpet over at Westgate.
- 21:27Sean McAllister: Take a listen to the conversation.
- 21:30SPEAKER_01: This is a originally supposed to be like a pilot show, and this has now turned into an opening night.
- 21:35SPEAKER_01: So uh we'll see.
- 21:36SPEAKER_01: I mean, we played everywhere in town.
- 21:38SPEAKER_01: This is like the one place I haven't played yet, and I've always wanted to, but it's a little intimidating.
- 21:43SPEAKER_01: It's Delphus Presley's theater.
- 21:45SPEAKER_01: Uh, and it's a large room.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: In today's climate in Vegas, someone like me, it's hard to fill a room large like this, you know?
- 21:52SPEAKER_01: So we're kind of scaled down to smart things.
- 21:54SPEAKER_01: So we got the opportunity to do it, and the first thing we thought is like, okay, well, do I just come in and do my show?
- 21:59SPEAKER_01: We've done that.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: So many times.
- 22:02SPEAKER_01: Let's build something.
- 22:03SPEAKER_01: I wanna sing all the music of the uh the people that there's a reason I play music.
- 22:11SPEAKER_01: It's not nostalgic, it's not a tribute, it's not a throwback or a retro.
- 22:18SPEAKER_01: It's not like a rap back thing.
- 22:20SPEAKER_01: It's just me doing my songs and mixing in some of my hero songs.
- 22:24SPEAKER_01: Some mantra elements.
- 22:26SPEAKER_01: But still a wrong way.
- 22:31SPEAKER_01: I love the old Vegas where people would come out and watch that.
- 22:36SPEAKER_01: So now you know we have a thing and oh look who's here tonight.
- 22:38SPEAKER_01: Someone's upstairs! Can you go to another show?
- 22:40SPEAKER_01: Someone's upstairs.
- 22:41SPEAKER_01: I wanted everybody in the room.
- 22:42SPEAKER_01: When Louie Primo used to play, everyone was in the room.
- 22:45SPEAKER_01: If you watch an opening and then develop it in this room, it's everyone.
- 22:48SPEAKER_01: If not as I can't cinnamon in a chip, it's everybody.
- 22:51SPEAKER_01: That's what I wanted to create.
- 22:56SPEAKER_01: Lacey's dancing.
- 22:57SPEAKER_01: Mrs.
- 22:58SPEAKER_01: Moon, the guitar player.
- 23:00SPEAKER_01: That's my son's mommy.
- 23:02SPEAKER_01: This Brent is dancing with Lacey.
- 23:05SPEAKER_01: Lacey's mom is standing right there.
- 23:09SPEAKER_01: My dad's damn.
- 23:10SPEAKER_01: He wanted to hang on the middle missus dresser.
- 23:11SPEAKER_01: But uh the whole family's my brother is just a bass player.
- 23:14SPEAKER_05: We spent the last month on our couch, literally producing the show from scratch.
- 23:21SPEAKER_01: We're not in Hawaii and like uh sending the the uh arrangements to the band.
- 23:26SPEAKER_01: He was sending choreography.
- 23:28SPEAKER_01: I'm still me still doing what I do, still I haven't stopped.
- 23:32SPEAKER_01: Even though the market has changed, I'm still doing it.
- 23:35SPEAKER_01: I'm just not doing it in Vegas.
- 23:36SPEAKER_01: So I want to go like, how do we get this back to Vegas?
- 23:39SPEAKER_01: And make sure that people know that uh there's a place for all the Vegas um talent to get together.
- 23:49SPEAKER_01: It's not they're not coming to support me for today, they're coming to support this idea.
- 23:54SPEAKER_06: And the community behind the like I feel like it's uh something that's been missing in Las Vegas for quite some time now.
- 24:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah, this had nothing to do with me, honestly.
- 24:02SPEAKER_01: Uh this was just an idea that and I mean I was just the only reason it's called Frankie Marino Show is because I was the only one at the meeting when we decided what to call this idea.
- 24:17SPEAKER_02: So prepared.
- 24:23Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and you heard Frankie talk about Lacey.
- 24:25Dayna Roselli: Uh, forgot to mention, obviously, because we were so involved in what we had talked to Frankie about, but Lacey Schwimmer um was uh she's from Dancing with the Stars, professional dancer, lives here in town, is now married to Frankie, and she was in the show um as well.
- 24:39Dayna Roselli: So they it they kind of changed it up with the full band, they had her dancing with a partner to some of the songs.
- 24:45Dayna Roselli: So it was cool to see that.
- 24:46Dayna Roselli: So it wasn't just a normal Frankie Marino show.
- 24:49Sean McAllister: No, and I felt like it was a pretty big uh cast for a show, for uh, for a show like that.
- 24:57SPEAKER_08: Right.
- 24:58Sean McAllister: You know what I mean?
- 24:59Sean McAllister: It's he had dancers, he had the band, he had uh guest uh performers who were up there too.
- 25:06Sean McAllister: So it felt like it was an occasion.
- 25:09Sean McAllister: Yeah, and I think that's the kind of vibe that Frankie wants to bring back is having a show that feels like a sense of occasion and you're not paying like crazy, uh crazy prices for it.
- 25:27Dayna Roselli: Five thousand dollars for the snake.
- 25:29Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you can see Frankie at the Westgate again if you want to go check out this show, May 28th, and truly you never know who's gonna be there, and that's the fun part of it.
- 25:37Dayna Roselli: And there's lots of drinking going on on stage.
- 25:40Dayna Roselli: There is, there is, and coming around, were they giving out shots?
- 25:43Dayna Roselli: There was long lines for the bar.
- 25:45Sean McAllister: Yeah, Frankie had like signature drinks, they rebranded the bar for him.
- 25:49Sean McAllister: It was a it was a whole thing.
- 25:51Dayna Roselli: Well, after that, down the road on Paradise, actually, uh, there's a new restaurant.
- 25:56Dayna Roselli: Um after about a two-year journey, like uh kind of rebuilding this restaurant, redecorating, and stuff like that.
- 26:04Dayna Roselli: Brasseria by Edo is now open.
- 26:07Dayna Roselli: It is a new restaurant.
- 26:09Dayna Roselli: In the last month, um, it opened, last couple few weeks.
- 26:13Dayna Roselli: Um, it's just off the strip at something called Collective on Paradise, and that's kind of a plaza that sits almost directly across from the sphere.
- 26:21Sean McAllister: Yeah, so it's a great location there.
- 26:23Sean McAllister: Uh brasseria by EDO serves Spanish French cuisine, and it celebrates the entire brasserie culture.
- 26:34SPEAKER_00: So Brasseria by EDO is the newest restaurant in the EDO hospitality group.
- 26:39SPEAKER_00: Big focus on French.
- 26:40SPEAKER_00: We have always liked French cuisine, and now this is the perfect platform to do so.
- 26:45SPEAKER_00: We've actually been very keen on this location for a handful of years, and we finally came to an agreement with the owners of this complex that made sense with regards to opening this restaurant.
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: But we've always loved the architecture, these like tall ceilings.
- 26:58SPEAKER_00: I think it's super unique for Las Vegas.
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: And we've always wanted to do a brassery feel uh to our group, add it to our group of a French silver lining.
- 27:06SPEAKER_00: So this was our opportunity to do it.
- 27:08SPEAKER_00: The the vibe is definitely like a very inviting, fun atmosphere.
- 27:12SPEAKER_00: We kind of are playing with the idea of calling it fun dining, not fine dining, um, where people feel very comfortable, they can bring the friends.
- 27:18SPEAKER_00: It's not super expensive as compared to, let's say, like the strip, um, but still with high-level, high-quality ingredients.
- 27:24SPEAKER_00: The golden tartare has become a huge favorite.
- 27:27SPEAKER_00: Um, all vegetables, Sevora, mustard, bell pepper, apple, um, very refreshing, lighter bite.
- 27:33SPEAKER_00: On the hot side, we use a special oven called a mibrasa.
- 27:37SPEAKER_00: It's an in essentially like an indoor barbecue.
- 27:39SPEAKER_00: So all of our meats get a very nice smoky char to it.
- 27:42SPEAKER_00: Um, and my favorite's probably gonna be the shriploin, no doubt.
- 27:45SPEAKER_00: On the fish side, I'm a big fan of the cod.
- 27:48SPEAKER_00: We do a lot of tableside things here.
- 27:49SPEAKER_00: So gin and tonics have always been a big standout for the group.
- 27:53SPEAKER_00: Um, here we also have a couple others.
- 27:54SPEAKER_00: So we have the gin tonic cart, we have a steak tartare cart where we make tableside steak tartare.
- 28:00SPEAKER_00: And then a couple of other things that we do for fun.
- 28:02SPEAKER_00: Um, chartreuse on draft.
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: We have the French raclette cheese that we um heat up and then shave onto a burger and things like that.
- 28:10Dayna Roselli: And then a beautiful bar.
- 28:11Dayna Roselli: Can people come just sit at the bar if they want?
- 28:13SPEAKER_00: People can come and sit at the bar.
- 28:14SPEAKER_00: It's full menu at the bar.
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: Um about 20 seats, so it's very big, very inviting, fun, fun atmosphere.
- 28:22Sean McAllister: You heard there from EDO Hospitality co-founder Joseph McCulik.
- 28:27Sean McAllister: And let me tell you, when you walk in and see the chandeliers with the high ceiling, there's just the inside of that restaurant has such unique architecture that you don't really see in other Vegas restaurants, especially off strip.
- 28:43Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that bar was great too.
- 28:45Dayna Roselli: So many seats and beautiful.
- 28:48Dayna Roselli: And I think he said in the story, full menu at the bar.
- 28:51Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 28:52Dayna Roselli: Um, so I loved the vibe.
- 28:54Dayna Roselli: You go up the stairs and they have a patio that they're just waiting for permits to go through.
- 28:59Dayna Roselli: But this patio is like a rooftop patio, and it sits and you can see you can see a slice of the sphere.
- 29:04Dayna Roselli: There's some buildings blocking it.
- 29:06Dayna Roselli: But even you were saying, um, I think we talked about it in the TV show, you were saying at night that view is gonna be great with all the buildings lit up.
- 29:12Sean McAllister: Yeah, it really will.
- 29:14Dayna Roselli: Yeah, because it is open five to ten.
- 29:15Dayna Roselli: So it'll be light out for a little bit, and then once it gets dark, but it's a great view.
- 29:19Dayna Roselli: So I love it.
- 29:20Dayna Roselli: I welcome new stuff in that plaza.
- 29:22Dayna Roselli: That's where I get my nails did, and I'm always over there.
- 29:26Dayna Roselli: So uh Eden Nails is my nail shop.
- 29:29Dayna Roselli: I've been going there for like I don't even know how long, like 15 years.
- 29:32Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 29:32Dayna Roselli: And so now there's a new restaurant there right up top.
- 29:35Sean McAllister: Yeah, we need to uh go back and actually sit down and have a meal over there.
- 29:40Sean McAllister: We just went to check out the space and see what they got going on.
- 29:43Sean McAllister: But EDO hospitality, they know what they're doing.
- 29:45Sean McAllister: They've had other incredibly successful restaurants here in Las Vegas as well.
- 29:50Sean McAllister: So we look forward to experiencing the brassery.
- 29:54Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 29:55Dayna Roselli: Well, um, thanks or Thanksgiving's coming up.
- 29:58Dayna Roselli: How about St.
- 29:58Dayna Roselli: Patrick's Day's coming up?
- 30:00Dayna Roselli: I'm really moving along.
- 30:01Dayna Roselli: Um, and and there's endless things to do in Las Vegas.
- 30:05Dayna Roselli: And because it's on uh what is it, Tuesday?
- 30:07Sean McAllister: It is Tuesday, yeah.
- 30:08Sean McAllister: Tuesday, yeah.
- 30:09Dayna Roselli: Like everything's like long weekend.
- 30:11Dayna Roselli: So we've got like four-day celebrations going on all over, but did want to mention we know you guys love downtown Las Vegas.
- 30:18Dayna Roselli: The Fremont Street Experience is hosting the three-day St.
- 30:21Dayna Roselli: Patrick's Day party um that they usually do.
- 30:23Dayna Roselli: It's March 15th through the 17th.
- 30:25Dayna Roselli: There's Irish bands, dancers, bagpipers, bar crawls.
- 30:28Dayna Roselli: And I think this year, what I call it, a it's a jig and costume contest are happening.
- 30:32Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 30:33Dayna Roselli: So you got to do your jig and your costume, and you can win thousands of dollars in prizes.
- 30:38Sean McAllister: Which is, I mean, I I think it could be entertaining just to go and see the jig and costume contest to see how people dress just to show up and take part, but then to see uh the dancing skills on display too.
- 30:54Sean McAllister: I think that could be uh kind of entertaining.
- 30:56Dayna Roselli: It's very true.
- 30:57Dayna Roselli: And you know, we did this in our segment that we do on CBS LA, and for you know, the anchors there, we hate we're trying to describe like what is the Fremont Street experience like if you've never been.
- 31:08Dayna Roselli: It it really is this party, especially in all the parties they have down there, or really any any night, it's like a big block party.
- 31:15Dayna Roselli: It is because they have like three stages, a lot of times there's bands up there for obviously these events, they always have it programmed with bands and the music's free.
- 31:23Dayna Roselli: Uh, people are dressed in all sorts of different things, all sorts of different things.
- 31:28Sean McAllister: You can drink, that's a good way to do it.
- 31:30Dayna Roselli: And walk.
- 31:30Dayna Roselli: And the thing is, it's um, you know, it's that section that they close off to any vehicle traffic, so it's all walkable.
- 31:36Sean McAllister: Yeah, so under right there under the canopy, uh, a great time.
- 31:40Sean McAllister: So if you're looking for uh St.
- 31:43Sean McAllister: Patrick's Day festivities, uh March 15th through the 17th, Fremont Street Experience is the place to go.
- 31:51Dayna Roselli: All right, let's do some celebrity news with a Vegas twist.
- 31:57Dayna Roselli: Sean, I felt like I needed to bring this up because Ja Rule was like my new bestie now.
- 32:03Sean McAllister: Ever since we saw him at the J-Lo show?
- 32:05Dayna Roselli: Oh, well, I was talking about when I sat behind him at the NBA Cup.
- 32:09Sean McAllister: Oh, right.
- 32:10Sean McAllister: Remember?
- 32:10Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 32:11Dayna Roselli: So yeah, because I saw him there, and then I predicted he was gonna be at the J-Lo show.
- 32:16Dayna Roselli: Then he was.
- 32:17Dayna Roselli: And now I see he is back in Vegas again.
- 32:20Dayna Roselli: So I'm like, oh, he just, you know, because when I observed him, he was just like a happy guy.
- 32:24Dayna Roselli: And I was listening to a lot of his old music, and I was like, you know what?
- 32:27Dayna Roselli: Ja Rule was like my my jam.
- 32:30Sean McAllister: Absolutely.
- 32:32Dayna Roselli: Anyway, he was in town.
- 32:33Dayna Roselli: I saw him celebrating a belated birthday at the Mayfair Supper Club at the Bellagio, which is lovely.
- 32:38Dayna Roselli: And then he was over at Delilah too, and got up on stage and sang.
- 32:42Dayna Roselli: So he was popping up all over.
- 32:44Sean McAllister: He was doing like the Supper Club circuit.
- 32:46Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 32:46Dayna Roselli: And you know, J Lo is back in town, so I'm wondering if he popped in there as well.
- 32:50Dayna Roselli: He must have.
- 32:51Dayna Roselli: Yeah, probably.
- 32:53Dayna Roselli: So good for him.
- 32:54Sean McAllister: I mean, he was living it up in Vegas, living it up.
- 32:58Dayna Roselli: Um, he was, you know, in that beef with 50 Cent, which is kind of amusing to me.
- 33:04Dayna Roselli: I and and I don't know, I feel like they kind of find it amusing too, but maybe I'm wrong.
- 33:08Dayna Roselli: Maybe it's more serious than that.
- 33:10Dayna Roselli: But I I like that jaw rule's moving on and doing his thing.
- 33:15Dayna Roselli: Doing his thing.
- 33:16Dayna Roselli: Good for you, Ja Roll.
- 33:18Sean McAllister: Hey, uh UFC 326 just held here in Vegas, and lots and lots of famous faces came out uh for the event itself and hopping around town.
- 33:31Sean McAllister: Uh, Tom Brady was here, Mario Lopez, Mark Zuckerberg.
- 33:36Sean McAllister: Uh, and then we have a bunch of faces that we always see at the UFC fights too.
- 33:41Dayna Roselli: I I know I when I was taking notes, I said the usual suspects.
- 33:44Dayna Roselli: I mean, obviously Dana White was there.
- 33:46Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 33:46Dayna Roselli: And the list goes on.
- 33:47Dayna Roselli: Uh, we have a lot of celebrities that attend UFC fights often.
- 33:52Dayna Roselli: Um, and so yeah, a lot of different faces, and it's always fun to see everyone here uh watching UFC.
- 33:59Dayna Roselli: I never know about UFC until it's here.
- 34:01Dayna Roselli: I'm like, what's going on?
- 34:02Dayna Roselli: Because I keep seeing like all these pictures of different celebrities and this person and that person, you know, connected with people in Vegas, and I'm like, oh, it's a UFC fight.
- 34:10Dayna Roselli: Because I feel like they happen often.
- 34:12Sean McAllister: They uh UFC fights, yeah, they're pretty they're regular, yeah, regular deals.
- 34:17Sean McAllister: Yeah, so all right.
- 34:19Dayna Roselli: Well, also, um, a little update if you're going to the NASCAR race this weekend.
- 34:24Dayna Roselli: Uh, we talked about it last week.
- 34:26Dayna Roselli: The Penzoil 400 is at one o'clock on Sunday at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and drum roll.
- 34:32Dayna Roselli: We have an announcement to make.
- 34:34Sean McAllister: The national anthem will be sung by Sean by Foreigner Rock Legends.
- 34:41Sean McAllister: Love it.
- 34:42Sean McAllister: They were just out at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway doing kind of a promotional shoot.
- 34:47Sean McAllister: They had the the race jumpsuits on, they did some laps in a race car around there, but they'll be back out there coming up on March 15th for the Penzoil 400 doing the national anthem.
- 35:00Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and then I think they got shows at Phoenician too.
- 35:03Dayna Roselli: So uh love to have Foreigner in town.
- 35:05Dayna Roselli: Just classic.
- 35:06Dayna Roselli: Um, hey, big announcement came out of MGM Grand.
- 35:08Dayna Roselli: I feel like we kind of saw this coming.
- 35:10Dayna Roselli: David Copperfield concluding his 25-year residency at MGM Grand.
- 35:16Dayna Roselli: Um, shows will go until April 30th.
- 35:20Dayna Roselli: But um magician David Copperfield has been here in Las Vegas for a long time.
- 35:25Dayna Roselli: And I don't know, we kind of wondered when when is when is that residency gonna end?
- 35:30Dayna Roselli: And now now we have a date.
- 35:32Sean McAllister: We do.
- 35:33Dayna Roselli: Um guests who have purchased tickets for any shows after that date will be automatically refunded.
- 35:39Dayna Roselli: So if you had tickets already, uh bummed for you if you're really looking forward to it, but you will be able to get refunded.
- 35:46Dayna Roselli: You can call the MGM Grand Box office at 702-891-3140 or email them.
- 35:52Dayna Roselli: Um I'm sure if you Google it, all the information's there online.
- 35:56Dayna Roselli: But you know, uh, I've interviewed David a long time ago.
- 35:59Dayna Roselli: I'm sure you have too.
- 36:00Dayna Roselli: He has been here in Las Vegas for a long time.
- 36:03Dayna Roselli: That is a long time for residency.
- 36:05Sean McAllister: It is a quarter century on stage.
- 36:08Sean McAllister: Um, Copperfield has over a hundred shows left uh before he wraps things up at the end of April.
- 36:15Sean McAllister: So if you want to see him, you gotta go now because poof, he's gonna vanish after that.
- 36:20Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and he lives here in Las Vegas.
- 36:22Dayna Roselli: Um I I do remember when he made the Statue of Liberty disappear on television, but that was like when we used to like when people used to gather around the TV for events.
- 36:31Dayna Roselli: When live events.
- 36:33Sean McAllister: That was when everybody had like three options to choose from on TV.
- 36:38SPEAKER_08: Right.
- 36:39Sean McAllister: And everyone would watch the exact same big event.
- 36:42SPEAKER_08: Right.
- 36:42Sean McAllister: It's the same with award shows, you know.
- 36:44Sean McAllister: I feel like what did we just have?
- 36:46Sean McAllister: Uh the Oscars.
- 36:49Sean McAllister: Oscar No, Grammys.
- 36:51Sean McAllister: I think Oscars are coming up.
- 36:54Sean McAllister: Uh Grammys, Golden Globes, Grammys, Golden Glob all that.
- 36:58Sean McAllister: And I feel like I don't know, I don't see a lot of run-up to award shows anymore.
- 37:05Sean McAllister: I feel like they just kind of happen.
- 37:07Dayna Roselli: Well, I think in that world the it's become very political.
- 37:10Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 37:11Dayna Roselli: So I think you have one side refusing to watch award shows, and then you have another side that is excited to watch award shows because they just some people just say, I just like to be entertained.
- 37:22Dayna Roselli: I put the politics aside.
- 37:24Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 37:24Dayna Roselli: So, and I like movies and TV shows, and I wanna see and music, and I want to see who's gonna win, and I wanna see my favorite artist perform or whatever.
- 37:32Dayna Roselli: So um I feel like the award shows have been controversial.
- 37:37Sean McAllister: And I f and uh I think there's so much content coming out now, especially on the movie and TV side of things.
- 37:46Sean McAllister: There's so much coming out and so many different platforms that things are being released on.
- 37:53Sean McAllister: There's streaming platforms, there's in the theater, there's uh direct uh whatever.
- 37:58SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 37:59Sean McAllister: And I feel like there's so much that when those award shows come around, I'm like, wait, these movies all came out this year?
- 38:06Sean McAllister: I've not heard of a single one.
- 38:08Dayna Roselli: Yeah, well, that's becoming sadly how it is.
- 38:11Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 38:12Dayna Roselli: You know?
- 38:13Dayna Roselli: A, there's too much choice when you when they involve movies that are streaming and stuff like that.
- 38:17Dayna Roselli: And then when they don't, just you know, box office out in movie theaters, a lot of people aren't getting out to theaters as much as they used to.
- 38:23SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 38:24Dayna Roselli: So it's a tough one.
- 38:26Dayna Roselli: You know, I've always been one that if I want to watch something, I just put whatever I in if I want to watch it and I'm interested in it, I watch it.
- 38:34Dayna Roselli: I don't care what anyone says or who's making and I can walk out of the room if someone gets up for an award that I don't care about.
- 38:42Dayna Roselli: I mean, I'm not making a big stink out of it.
- 38:45Dayna Roselli: You know, um, the Super Bowl, everyone watch the Super Bowl.
- 38:49Dayna Roselli: Listen, by the way, Bad Bunny, what the number most number one streamed halftime show ever.
- 38:55Dayna Roselli: Good for him.
- 38:56Dayna Roselli: Um, yeah, if I I figure, you know, for some of these award shows when people are like, I'm not watching celebrity, and I'm like, but you watched their show all year.
- 39:04Sean McAllister: You're right.
- 39:06Dayna Roselli: But you don't want to watch, but I guess people get up and they give their political messages and things like that.
- 39:11Dayna Roselli: So whatever.
- 39:12Dayna Roselli: To each their own, I love a good live event.
- 39:14Dayna Roselli: We're also TV people though.
- 39:15Dayna Roselli: True.
- 39:16Dayna Roselli: We love good live events.
- 39:18SPEAKER_08: We do.
- 39:18Dayna Roselli: There's something about live programming that it's in our blood.
- 39:23Dayna Roselli: Well, next week, let's see.
- 39:24Dayna Roselli: What are we doing this week?
- 39:25Dayna Roselli: We're talking mocktails.
- 39:26Dayna Roselli: We're going over to the Fountain Blue to learn about.
- 39:27Dayna Roselli: I mean, there's a mock tail craze, everyone.
- 39:30Dayna Roselli: Uh, it is so popular right now.
- 39:32Dayna Roselli: People, a lot of people are giving up drinking, and it's interesting to see because there has been chatter, and I don't know until I see a number, but you know, is that gonna hurt things?
- 39:43Dayna Roselli: Because alcohol's like the number one seller in a place like Vegas.
- 39:47Sean McAllister: Yeah, that's true.
- 39:48Sean McAllister: But there are a bunch of uh mixologists and properties and and bars and lounges that are adapting to the way that people are are changing their habits, changing their preferences, and mocktails are becoming a a big thing.
- 40:07Sean McAllister: A lot more.
- 40:08Sean McAllister: I mean, for a chunk of time, there's you wouldn't see any mocktail on a menu.
- 40:15SPEAKER_08: Right.
- 40:16Sean McAllister: Um, but now there are some really inventive, uh, delicious mocktail options that are even using uh non-alcoholic spirits.
- 40:27Sean McAllister: So you get the the flavor of you know, some uh whatever your your liquor of choice is, you get the flavor without the the alcohol.
- 40:37Sean McAllister: So I'm excited to learn more about this, honestly.
- 40:40Dayna Roselli: Listen, I a Shirley Temple is good.
- 40:44Sean McAllister: It is what I mean.
- 40:45Dayna Roselli: We used to love our Shirley Temples, right?
- 40:47Sean McAllister: A little bit of Sprite with a splash of grenadine, and there you go.
- 40:50Dayna Roselli: And a cherry.
- 40:51Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 40:51Dayna Roselli: It's delicious.
- 40:52Dayna Roselli: So same thing, right?
- 40:53Dayna Roselli: You can still enjoy and you shouldn't feel left out, or you might want to order something.
- 40:57Dayna Roselli: And they are doing a great job at really curating these menus of fancy, you know, mocktails.
- 41:02Dayna Roselli: So we'll have more about that.
- 41:03Dayna Roselli: We did do a great uh story at Red Rock Casino about the 20th anniversary coming up.
- 41:07Dayna Roselli: We'll have that soon.
- 41:08Dayna Roselli: And then we're also doing a great story in some of the restaurants around downtown Summerlin coming soon, too, or at downtown Summerlin, I should say.
- 41:16Dayna Roselli: There's so much choice there.
- 41:17Dayna Roselli: We haven't gotten out there recently, so we're going out to explore what some of the restaurants offer.
- 41:22Sean McAllister: Yeah, and there is a wide variety and such a great atmosphere out there, too.
- 41:27Sean McAllister: Um, I was just out there, as a matter of fact, to go to the um A's baseball uh preseason game against the Angels.
- 41:37Sean McAllister: They had a Major League weekend here in Las Vegas with the A's doing two preseason games against the Angels at the Las Vegas ballpark at downtown Summerlin.
- 41:47Sean McAllister: And uh, you know, that just contributes to the vibe of downtown Summerlin, where there are so many great options to hang out, to eat, to shop, to relax.
- 41:57Dayna Roselli: Next time you go to the ballpark, um, we did have someone on our YouTube that really wanted to know where they can buy A's official merch.
- 42:05Dayna Roselli: Like Las Vegas A's.
- 42:06Dayna Roselli: And I was Googling to try and get this person an answer, and it was hard.
- 42:09Dayna Roselli: They did have say they had some at the shop at the ballpark, but that it was very limited.
- 42:14Sean McAllister: So there were uh I because I got uh I ended up buying an A's uh jersey.
- 42:21Sean McAllister: Okay, but it's just it just has the A's uh logo on it, it doesn't have the Las Vegas branding on it.
- 42:30Sean McAllister: And I don't recall at the moment seeing anything that had uh the Las Vegas branding on it.
- 42:40Dayna Roselli: Well, if anyone from maybe the LBC VA is listening or the A's, uh send us a note and let us know if you want us to get the word out on where you can buy that merch, that official merch, because we are starting to get questions about that.
- 42:53Dayna Roselli: People want to get on board, you know, and support the team that's coming here to Las Vegas.
- 42:57Sean McAllister: Absolutely.
- 42:58Dayna Roselli: Um you can find all the stuff that we mention and restaurants and hours and all that on the Vegas Near Me app.
- 43:04Dayna Roselli: Download that.
- 43:05Dayna Roselli: Tons of information.
- 43:07Dayna Roselli: We highly recommend it.
- 43:08Dayna Roselli: You can also go to VegasNearme.com.
- 43:11Dayna Roselli: You can book a hotel room, you can plan your shows, make an itinerary.
- 43:16Dayna Roselli: It's really, really great.
- 43:17Dayna Roselli: So thank you to Vegas Near Me for sponsoring the Vegas Revealed Audio Podcast.
- 43:22Dayna Roselli: Appreciate you as always, and we'll see you next week.
