- 0:00Speaker 1: I was telling you guys the other day how I
- 0:01Speaker 1: know there's a certain thing that's happening between my wife, Blake,
- 0:05Speaker 1: and I that's going to start a fight. I know
- 0:06Speaker 1: it's going to turn into a fight. The next time
- 0:08Speaker 1: we travel, it will probably be a fight. And that's
- 0:10Speaker 1: where she likes to take this bag with her that
- 0:13Speaker 1: I have to carry. And I'd rather be in a backpack.
- 0:15Speaker 1: And she won't do it. It has to be this bag.
- 0:18Speaker 1: And it's a very heavy bag. And it's uncomfortable to
- 0:21Speaker 1: carry her carry-on, my carry-on, and this bag. Like, it
- 0:24Speaker 1: could be her carry-on, my carry-on, and a backpack.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:27Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? She doesn't carry it. I'm
- 0:29Speaker 1: carrying it. And I brought it up twice, and she
- 0:32Speaker 1: gets really angry. But it just doesn't make sense to me.
- 0:35Speaker 1: So anyway, I thought it'd be fun. When did you
- 0:37Speaker 1: say or do something? You knew it's going to be
- 0:40Speaker 1: a fight. You know it's going to be a fight,
- 0:41Speaker 1: but you're going to do it anyway. Where are you
- 0:43Speaker 1: on this? Haley, what's your story? Good morning.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Good morning.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Hi.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Hi.
- 0:48Speaker 4: My sister announced her baby name.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Okay.
- 0:51Speaker 4: At our family dinner.
- 0:52Speaker 3: And....
- 0:54Speaker 4: It felt like, what's that, Invasion of the Body Snatchers?
- 0:58Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 0:58Speaker 4: It was, everybody was just, they were all acting like
- 1:03Speaker 4: it was such a great idea. They were pretending like, oh,
- 1:06Speaker 4: that's so beautiful. Oh, my God, that's so unique.
- 1:08Speaker 6: We love it.
- 1:09Speaker 4: It sounded like a prescription medication, the name.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:14Speaker 5: Her name was so epic. What was the name?
- 1:19Speaker 4: Okay, well, so my sister wants to honor our mom,
- 1:23Speaker 4: who's McKenzie. And her husband's mom, who is Catherine. So
- 1:27Speaker 4: she combined their names and came up with Kenzaprine.
- 1:32Speaker 5: Oh, that does sound like a medication. Kenzaprine. Side effects
- 1:37Speaker 5: may include.
- 1:38Speaker 1: So the fight is where?
- 1:41Speaker 4: Well, she asked me what I thought. And I knew
- 1:47Speaker 4: that this was going to upset her. I couldn't stop myself.
- 1:51Speaker 4: I said, honestly... It sounds like something that your insurance
- 1:54Speaker 4: wouldn't cover.
- 1:54Speaker 5: That's great. That's funny.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Well, no.
- 1:59Speaker 4: She first did it there.
- 2:01Speaker 3: My mom said that I was cruel.
- 2:04Speaker 1: And, yeah.
- 2:06Speaker 4: But I... My sister banned me from the delivery room.
- 2:11Speaker 5: Oh, she's mad. Did she stick with the name?
- 2:14Speaker 3: So far.
- 2:15Speaker 4: I mean, the baby's not born yet, but I, you know,
- 2:18Speaker 4: I genuinely, I thought she was telling me about a
- 2:21Speaker 4: medication the doctor prescribed for her during pregnancy. I, she
- 2:25Speaker 4: was so mad. I asked her if the middle name
- 2:26Speaker 4: was going to be Tylenol.
- 2:28Speaker 6: Oh, my gosh.
- 2:29Speaker 5: Not you, W.
- 2:30Speaker 1: So you knew it was going to be a fight,
- 2:32Speaker 1: but you pushed through anyway, and it turned into a fight.
- 2:35Speaker 4: I mean, it is my sacred duty as her auntie
- 2:39Speaker 4: to protect her from the foolishness of.
- 2:43Speaker 3: that her mother is engaging in.
- 2:44Speaker 1: You know, that's one of those things again, where you
- 2:46Speaker 1: don't tell people what you always hear people say, don't
- 2:48Speaker 1: ever say what the baby's name you're thinking of.
- 2:51Speaker 7: Speaking of baby names and sisters, this does kind of
- 2:54Speaker 7: remind me. So I love the name honey for a girl.
- 2:58Speaker 7: I think it is so cute. But so does my sister.
- 3:01Speaker 7: My sister has three boys and probably isn't having any
- 3:04Speaker 7: kids anymore. And I know that when I need my daughter, honey,
- 3:08Speaker 7: she is going to hate me.
- 3:10Speaker 5: Mariah Carey movie.
- 3:12Speaker 1: But why would she hate you if she's not have
- 3:13Speaker 1: any more kids?
- 3:14Speaker 7: Because she feels like that's her name. She feels like
- 3:17Speaker 7: she came up with it.
- 3:17Speaker 5: She feels like that's what she should have been able
- 3:19Speaker 5: to name her.
- 3:20Speaker 7: She wanted my sister wanted a girl so bad and
- 3:22Speaker 7: never got one.
- 3:22Speaker 8: Yeah, some people get very, like, I don't know, possessive
- 3:26Speaker 8: over certain names.
- 3:27Speaker 1: No, that happened to me with a dog. My first
- 3:30Speaker 1: dog I ever got was I wanted to name the
- 3:32Speaker 1: dog Fletch.
- 3:33Speaker 5: Oh, that's awesome.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Yeah, and my boss said, don't name your dog Fletch.
- 3:37Speaker 1: His wife was pregnant. He goes, we want to name
- 3:39Speaker 1: our son Fletch. The son was born. I named my
- 3:42Speaker 1: dog Tugs. Their son was born, and they named him Chase.
- 3:45Speaker 7: They didn't even name him Fletch.
- 3:46Speaker 1: And I was so bummed. I was going to use that.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I did it because of you. Yeah, but I understand that, though.
- 3:52Speaker 1: I don't understand your sister getting mad. I think she's
- 3:54Speaker 1: not having any more kids.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 3:56Speaker 7: She's just a Sagittarius.
- 3:56Speaker 1: So she should be really supportive that her niece is
- 3:58Speaker 1: named Honey.
- 3:59Speaker 5: No, she's not, though. Fascinating. That's the point.
- 4:02Speaker 7: I know when I do it, she's going to be
- 4:04Speaker 7: so mad at me.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Hayley, thanks for calling in, Hayley.
- 4:07Speaker 5: My pleasure.
- 4:08Speaker 6: When did you say or do.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Something you knew was going to turn into a fight? Natalie,
- 4:18Speaker 1: what's your story?
- 4:19Speaker 5: Good morning.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Thanks for holding.
- 4:33Speaker 6: Of course.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Okay.
- 4:35Speaker 3: So my story is I am a very independent woman.
- 4:39Speaker 3: I always have been. And I know that my boyfriend
- 4:43Speaker 3: is low-key jealous of that. So one day he was
- 4:48Speaker 3: bragging about how he was so independent because he had
- 4:51Speaker 3: fixed a flat tire in his car. And it just
- 4:55Speaker 3: reminded me of that saying, behind every great man is
- 4:59Speaker 3: a woman rolling her eyes. I just couldn't keep it
- 5:01Speaker 3: together because I just know, like, his mom still books
- 5:04Speaker 3: his doctor's appointments. She books his flights. She calls me
- 5:07Speaker 3: to ask what he wants for dinner, like, when he
- 5:10Speaker 3: goes over there. So I knew it would make him mad,
- 5:12Speaker 3: but I just, like, I couldn't bite my tongue. I
- 5:14Speaker 3: had to say it. And I... looked him in the
- 5:18Speaker 3: eye and said, you're not independent. You're low key, a
- 5:20Speaker 3: group project between me and your mother. I knew it
- 5:25Speaker 3: would start a fight. I knew it would start a fight,
- 5:26Speaker 3: but there's also like no arguing with it. He knows
- 5:29Speaker 3: it's true. So it, he just didn't speak to me
- 5:32Speaker 3: for the rest of the night. His mom texted me
- 5:36Speaker 3: later asking what happened. I'm like, and there.
- 5:40Speaker 1: It is, you know, he fixed the flat tire. I'm
- 5:42Speaker 1: on his side.
- 5:43Speaker 8: That's pretty good.
- 5:44Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean, he fixed a flat tire, but it's like,
- 5:47Speaker 3: you don't even know, like you don't know how to make.
- 5:48Speaker 2: An egg, you know, in the greater scheme of things.
- 5:52Speaker 2: It's gotta be a little more even down. That's what
- 5:53Speaker 2: you're saying.
- 5:54Speaker 3: It has to be more evened out. The man doesn't
- 5:55Speaker 3: know how to sweep the man. I mean, I'm glad
- 5:58Speaker 3: he fixed his flat tire. I wish he could do
- 6:01Speaker 3: one thing in our apartment, you know?
- 6:03Speaker 1: Hey, fixing a flat tire is hard. Making flight appointments
- 6:07Speaker 1: is calling freaking the travel agent or calling the airlines
- 6:09Speaker 1: and doing it or doing it online.
- 6:10Speaker 5: No, it can be a little difficult.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Okay, let me rephrase that. Fixing a flat tire can
- 6:16Speaker 1: be dangerous.
- 6:17Speaker 5: Yes, it can. Also deeply satisfying, I feel like, if
- 6:20Speaker 5: you do it on your own.
- 6:22Speaker 8: Also, though, I kind of feel like if you start
- 6:24Speaker 8: celebrating the wins when he does do things that are independent,
- 6:28Speaker 8: it may encourage him to do more.
- 6:31Speaker 3: That's probably fair. I know that he just like looked
- 6:34Speaker 3: it up on YouTube and he was like all day
- 6:37Speaker 3: was walking around like thinking he was like the coolest
- 6:39Speaker 3: guy in the world. And I was just like, you
- 6:41Speaker 3: need to try harder. You're probably right.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Natalie, thanks for calling in. Thanks for listening. Thomas, good morning.
- 6:48Speaker 1: You are our contestant for Minute to Win It. How
- 6:50Speaker 1: are you?
- 6:52Speaker 6: Good morning. I'm great. How are you all?
- 6:54Speaker 1: Give us a little fun fact about yourself, Thomas.
- 6:57Speaker 6: A little fun fact about myself. I'm colorblind.
- 7:02Speaker 1: How do you know you're colorblind? What do you see
- 7:03Speaker 1: when you're colorblind?
- 7:05Speaker 6: I see black and white. No, I'm just kidding. I
- 7:09Speaker 6: see all the colors, but it's just difficult for me to...
- 7:14Speaker 6: and distinguish between certain tones of colors.
- 7:16Speaker 5: Yeah, it's true.
- 7:17Speaker 8: I actually volunteered at my kid's school for like the
- 7:19Speaker 8: vision and hearing screenings. And there's literally like a book.
- 7:23Speaker 8: And in the book, there's these circles that are made
- 7:25Speaker 8: of dots and dots of different colors. And then there's a, like,
- 7:28Speaker 8: say it's an orange dotted circle. There'd be like a
- 7:31Speaker 8: red 76 on the inside. And you have to say,
- 7:33Speaker 8: what number do you see? And if they see the number,
- 7:36Speaker 8: they're not like colorblind.
- 7:37Speaker 5: On all of them.
- 7:37Speaker 8: And if they are, they might have, they might have it.
- 7:40Speaker 2: That's why they say the throwback, you know, when the
- 7:41Speaker 2: NFL teams wear the throwback uniforms. It messes up colorblind
- 7:45Speaker 2: people because the whole everything they know is screwed up
- 7:49Speaker 2: on TV. They look like it's the same team.
- 7:51Speaker 5: Oh, my gosh.
- 7:51Speaker 7: When I was in like elementary school, I thought being
- 7:55Speaker 7: colorblind would be so cool. So, Kyle, the test that
- 7:58Speaker 7: you read the book, I knew what color red was,
- 8:00Speaker 7: but I would say like purple. But they knew that
- 8:02Speaker 7: I wasn't actually colorblind. I was totally trying to say
- 8:07Speaker 7: that I was colorblind and I totally wasn't. But they knew.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Because I almost failed kindergarten.
- 8:15Speaker 6: I was painting the grass brown and the tree barks
- 8:19Speaker 6: green and they thought I was just messing around.
- 8:22Speaker 1: You know what? That is a very interesting fun fact. Well,
- 8:25Speaker 1: thanks for calling in. Let's play. You ready to win $ 1, 000?
- 8:28Speaker 5: I am.
- 8:29Speaker 6: Let's do this.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Let's go.
- 8:30Speaker 3: 60 seconds on the clock. Let's go.
- 8:31Speaker 8: What quarterback has won the most Super Bowls?
- 8:34Speaker 1: John Elwood.
- 8:47Speaker 3: Oh, no.
- 8:47Speaker 8: Is it Tom Brady?
- 8:49Speaker 5: Tom Brady.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Oh, Thomas.
- 8:52Speaker 5: You were question blind as well. That's sad.
- 8:56Speaker 6: You know what?
- 8:58Speaker 5: I know that, but I hate to admit it.
- 9:00Speaker 2: She's like, I'd rather lose $ 1, 000 than get Tom Brady credit.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Oh, I'm sorry, Thomas. It's okay. Thomas.
- 9:10Speaker 7: Nice try.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Hey, we're going to set you up with Del Taco
- 9:15Speaker 1: gift cards.
- 9:15Speaker 6: Oh, for sure.
- 9:16Speaker 5: All right.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Thanks for listening, Thomas.
- 9:18Speaker 6: No problem.
