- 0:02Speaker 1: On Scone wields Australia.
- 0:05Speaker 2: This is the winder Panalty Show.
- 0:08Speaker 3: Good evening and welcome to the Rita Patty Show. Great
- 0:11Speaker 3: to be back with you. Coming up tonight, Opposition leader
- 0:14Speaker 3: Peter Darton promises to cut red tape and green tape
- 0:18Speaker 3: to kick up the economy. I'll discuss that and plenty
- 0:21Speaker 3: more with Dan Ward also joining me tonight.
- 0:23Speaker 1: They always droll.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Alex Stein with the Latest from the US, and Kinsisco
- 0:27Speaker 3: Field brings us to the latest from Hollywood where celebrities
- 0:31Speaker 3: are battling the deadly California fires. And we have an
- 0:35Speaker 3: extended edition of Left is Losing It for you before
- 0:39Speaker 3: the first ad break, and it features the great Mick
- 0:42Speaker 3: Jagger in Canada who was among the very first to
- 0:45Speaker 3: learn just how unpopular Justin Trudeau is.
- 0:49Speaker 4: I mean, we love your mister Trudeau.
- 0:51Speaker 5: I mean his fan has always been such a big
- 0:53Speaker 5: fans of our fans.
- 0:57Speaker 3: But first fresh polling has revealed a surgeon support for
- 1:00Speaker 3: Australia Day being celebrated on January twenty six. Despite the
- 1:04Speaker 3: Left's attempts to demonize our national holiday, it continues to
- 1:08Speaker 3: enjoy majority support it always has and that support is
- 1:11Speaker 3: growing sixty nine percent of Australians agree that Australia Day
- 1:15Speaker 3: should be held on January twenty six, compared to sixty
- 1:18Speaker 3: three percent in last year's poll commissioned by the Institute
- 1:22Speaker 3: of Public Affairs, and this figure includes a ten percent
- 1:26Speaker 3: increase in support for the day amongst eighteen to twenty
- 1:29Speaker 3: four year olds, an age bracket that typically leans heavily left.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Joining me now with more on this is Deputy Executive
- 1:36Speaker 1: director of the IPA, Dan Wild. Dan tell me more
- 1:41Speaker 1: about what this polling revealed.
- 1:45Speaker 4: Yeah, Rita, Look what.
- 1:46Speaker 6: It shows is that we're getting a surge and support
- 1:49Speaker 6: for Australia Day on the twenty sixth of January. As
- 1:53Speaker 6: you mentioned, it's being driven by young Australians, those aged
- 1:56Speaker 6: eighteen to twenty four, which is really significant. They are
- 1:59Speaker 6: rebelling against political correctness. They've had a gutful of it
- 2:03Speaker 6: because they've been presented with a very negative, one sided
- 2:05Speaker 6: view of our history and our culture at school and
- 2:09Speaker 6: at university and they're just over it and they're saying
- 2:12Speaker 6: that they want to support the national Day along with
- 2:14Speaker 6: the rest of the population. What's so significant about this
- 2:17Speaker 6: survey this year region and we've been doing this for
- 2:20Speaker 6: seven years now. Is it's the first time that we've
- 2:23Speaker 6: had every single age group with majority support of our
- 2:27Speaker 6: national Day. It's a very significant moment in our national
- 2:30Speaker 6: history and what it shows is that Australia Day is
- 2:33Speaker 6: back in a very big way and Australians are over
- 2:36Speaker 6: this wokeness, They're over political correctness and I think that we.
- 2:40Speaker 4: Just want to get on with it and celebrate our
- 2:43Speaker 4: national Day.
- 2:46Speaker 3: You know what, Anthony ALBERNEEZI has plenty of criticism, including
- 2:50Speaker 3: from me, for the referendum. Nobody wanted the race based referendum,
- 2:55Speaker 3: but I wonder whether in the long term is done
- 2:57Speaker 3: the country a favor because it's starts to address some
- 3:01Speaker 3: of these issues that have been ignored, where the majority
- 3:04Speaker 3: opinion was ignored, and now the majority have had their
- 3:08Speaker 3: voices heard through the referendum.
- 3:10Speaker 1: And they're demanding further changes.
- 3:11Speaker 3: They want to get rid of this racial division, this
- 3:14Speaker 3: ridiculous agenda that the left is pushing that is just divisive.
- 3:23Speaker 4: Yeah, you spot on.
- 3:24Speaker 6: I think that in hindsight, the referendum was a very
- 3:26Speaker 6: good thing for our nation because it did force us
- 3:30Speaker 6: to think about, well, what does it mean to be
- 3:31Speaker 6: an Australian and so we had to ask these tough
- 3:34Speaker 6: questions that often were not asked, and a majority of Australians,
- 3:38Speaker 6: a strong majority, said they don't want racial division. And
- 3:41Speaker 6: it wasn't just a left right thing. Almost forty percent
- 3:44Speaker 6: of those who voted no were labor voters, or forty
- 3:47Speaker 6: percent of labor voters voted no, So it was across
- 3:49Speaker 6: the political spectrum. And since then what we've seen is
- 3:54Speaker 6: a real pushback against the work corporations will Worst backing down,
- 3:58Speaker 6: the Australia Venue Company, the pub conglomerate backing down, the
- 4:03Speaker 6: UK or the Commissioner to the UK, Stephen Smith backing down.
- 4:07Speaker 6: So we've seen this across the board. Sporting codes member
- 4:10Speaker 6: Cricket Australia are now coming out and supporting Australia Day.
- 4:13Speaker 6: It was only a few years ago that they supported
- 4:16Speaker 6: Black Lives Matter and remember when all the cricketers were
- 4:19Speaker 6: standing around in a circle of bare feet to take
- 4:22Speaker 6: on racial injustice. Now Australia Day is back on the
- 4:25Speaker 6: agenda for Cricket Australia. So I think we're seeing a
- 4:28Speaker 6: really big energy shift in our nation around our values,
- 4:32Speaker 6: our flag and our national day. And I think it's
- 4:35Speaker 6: incredibly encouraging.
- 4:39Speaker 3: Absolutely Now Peter Darton has revealed his policy agenda for
- 4:42Speaker 3: the upcoming election under the banner of get Australia back
- 4:46Speaker 3: on track.
- 4:47Speaker 1: His promised to lower taxes.
- 4:49Speaker 3: And eliminate or at least reduce the red and Green
- 4:53Speaker 3: tape that is preventing private enterprises from investing in Australia
- 4:57Speaker 3: and getting us out of the cost of lif living
- 5:00Speaker 3: crisis is probably the number one issue going into the
- 5:03Speaker 3: federal election. Some of these reforms is announced include expediting
- 5:07Speaker 3: gas developments, slashing government spending and having approval times.
- 5:11Speaker 1: For resource projects.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Dan this is all music to my ears, But is
- 5:16Speaker 3: this going to be a winning formula going into an
- 5:20Speaker 3: election when you've got a first term government. It's unusual
- 5:23Speaker 3: for Australians to get rid of a first term government.
- 5:28Speaker 6: It is unusual, but it's also an unusually bad government.
- 5:32Speaker 6: So I think there's every chance Anthony Ibnezi could lose.
- 5:35Speaker 6: If there ever was a government to go down in
- 5:36Speaker 6: one term, that would be this one. Of course, in
- 5:39Speaker 6: twenty ten, the rad Gillard government almost went down basically.
- 5:45Speaker 4: Abbot got them to a draw.
- 5:46Speaker 6: I think it'll be something probably fairly similar to that,
- 5:50Speaker 6: I think that the agenda that Peter Dutton has outlined
- 5:53Speaker 6: is showing very important leadership across a number of areas,
- 5:56Speaker 6: including in relation to education where he mentioned the politically
- 5:59Speaker 6: driven ideology of our education system, of course is the
- 6:03Speaker 6: energy system and nuclear power. So I think it's very encouraging.
- 6:06Speaker 6: What I would say is the coalition needs to take a.
- 6:09Speaker 4: Bit more risk.
- 6:11Speaker 6: They can get over the line, but they're going to
- 6:13Speaker 6: need to take more risks, particularly around migration. Their migration
- 6:16Speaker 6: policy is a good policy, but they need to go
- 6:18Speaker 6: a bit further with that, and I also think they
- 6:20Speaker 6: need to show now they need to tell Australians well,
- 6:22Speaker 6: what are you going to get on day one? What
- 6:24Speaker 6: are you going to get on day one of a government?
- 6:27Speaker 6: To ease the cost of living, to rain back on migration,
- 6:29Speaker 6: and to help achieve social cohesion. Those are the three
- 6:32Speaker 6: big issues. So I think in terms of the unofficial
- 6:35Speaker 6: start of the campaign, it's a very good start and
- 6:37Speaker 6: hopefully they build on this by having a bit more
- 6:39Speaker 6: ambition as we head towards the actual election, which will
- 6:43Speaker 6: probably be late March early April.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Absolutely, I think that is fantastic advice to have some
- 6:50Speaker 3: courage conservatives need to have courage and need to be
- 6:53Speaker 3: clear in articulating their message, and there are policies that
- 6:58Speaker 3: are just easy for conservatives to explain to the electorate
- 7:02Speaker 3: where they will have overwhelming majority support. A lot of
- 7:05Speaker 3: those are the so called cultural war issues, something that
- 7:09Speaker 3: Donald Trump capitalized on, and you'd love to see that
- 7:13Speaker 3: locally you have a political leader come out and say
- 7:17Speaker 3: clearly that women deserve to have their own spaces. We
- 7:21Speaker 3: know what a woman is, we know what a man is,
- 7:23Speaker 3: and men don't belong in women's sport.
- 7:25Speaker 1: These are simple statements that.
- 7:27Speaker 3: The overwhelming majority of the country agree with, but certainly
- 7:31Speaker 3: in states like Victoria, you've got both the liberals and
- 7:34Speaker 3: the labor government on the same side of the activist
- 7:38Speaker 3: who may represent maybe ten percent of the population. And
- 7:41Speaker 3: talking about Victoria, there's been a damning report by energy
- 7:44Speaker 3: expert Professor Paul Simschauser who's warning that Victoria's renewables push
- 7:51Speaker 3: is going to see demand outweighing renewable energy supply by
- 7:55Speaker 3: more than thirty percent this coming winter, which could make
- 7:59Speaker 3: Victoria's power devices even more expensive. And of course you've
- 8:03Speaker 3: also got the risk of blackouts there.
- 8:04Speaker 6: Dan, Yeah, well, there will be blackhoats if those numbers
- 8:09Speaker 6: are correct. And you know what we've what we've seen, now,
- 8:12Speaker 6: what was I mean, We've been warning about this for years,
- 8:15Speaker 6: you know, I mean we've been how long we've been
- 8:17Speaker 6: talking about this issue, which is you know, Victoria is
- 8:19Speaker 6: ground zero for net zero. They've gone faster and harder
- 8:23Speaker 6: than any other state with this climate zealotry. And it's
- 8:26Speaker 6: got to be said that the Liberals have been as
- 8:27Speaker 6: bad as labor, sometimes worse than labor on energy policy.
- 8:31Speaker 6: And this is what happens when you get rid of
- 8:33Speaker 6: your baselow power supplies, which is coal. You know, coal
- 8:36Speaker 6: and gas is what gives you the capacity to operate
- 8:39Speaker 6: an energy system twenty four to seven, three sixty five
- 8:42Speaker 6: days a year, rain, hail, or shine, and you replace
- 8:45Speaker 6: it with weather dependent, intermittent energy supplies from wind and solar.
- 8:49Speaker 6: Of course, you're going to have these problems. It's totally predictable.
- 8:52Speaker 6: I just don't understand for the life of me, while
- 8:54Speaker 6: we keep going down this path. Obviously, this was always
- 8:58Speaker 6: going to happen, and I think what we need it's
- 9:00Speaker 6: just a common sense energy policy.
- 9:02Speaker 4: Sure, if you want to have.
- 9:02Speaker 6: Some wind and solar where it's sensible, Go do that,
- 9:05Speaker 6: but you're going to have to have at least eighty
- 9:06Speaker 6: percent of your energy system based on coal or gas,
- 9:09Speaker 6: or in certain circumstances, hydro where it makes sense. Otherwise
- 9:13Speaker 6: you're going to have high prices and blackout risks. So look,
- 9:16Speaker 6: the chickens are now coming home to roost the very
- 9:18Speaker 6: bad policy decisions that have been taken over the past
- 9:21Speaker 6: decade plus.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Now, Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, has
- 9:28Speaker 3: told its employees that it will be dismantling its DEI
- 9:32Speaker 3: that's a diversity, equity and Inclusion team due to a
- 9:36Speaker 3: shift in the legal and policy landscape in the US,
- 9:40Speaker 3: announcing that it doesn't want there to be any impression
- 9:43Speaker 3: that people were being hired based on race, or gender
- 9:47Speaker 3: or other diversity factors. A Meta Australia spokesperson has told
- 9:51Speaker 3: The Australian Financial Review that the company's new mantra is
- 9:54Speaker 3: to create a cognitively diverse workforce. We will always value
- 10:00Speaker 3: teams with differences in knowledge, skills, political views, backgrounds, perspectives
- 10:05Speaker 3: and experiences, the company has said dan this is another
- 10:10Speaker 3: impact of the Trump landslide. These companies know that these
- 10:15Speaker 3: policies are discrimination. You might call it positive discrimination, reverse discrimination,
- 10:21Speaker 3: but it's just discrimination. And you're basically saying that other
- 10:25Speaker 3: factors other than merit are going to get people over
- 10:29Speaker 3: the line to get that coveted job.
- 10:34Speaker 4: Yeah, that's right.
- 10:34Speaker 6: I mean, there's something positive about discrimination. I've never understood
- 10:37Speaker 6: the term positive discrimination. It's sort of a weasel word
- 10:40Speaker 6: that they used to use to get away with it,
- 10:43Speaker 6: you know. I mean, firstly, this is an admission that
- 10:45Speaker 6: Facebook has been doing that, that they have been meta
- 10:47Speaker 6: have been discriminating based on political views and based on
- 10:52Speaker 6: characteristics like race, ethnicity, or gender. And you shouldn't do
- 10:56Speaker 6: that as a company. Now, if you want to be
- 10:58Speaker 6: discerning in terms of skills and knowledge, of course you
- 11:01Speaker 6: can do that as a company, but you shouldn't be
- 11:02Speaker 6: doing it based on political views. But I think this
- 11:05Speaker 6: is an incredibly important development. I welcome it and encourage it,
- 11:08Speaker 6: and I hope more corporates go down this path because
- 11:11Speaker 6: we're all fed up with this diversity, equity and inclusion.
- 11:15Speaker 6: People should be hired on their capacity to make a
- 11:17Speaker 6: contribution and to do a good job, regardless of their background.
- 11:20Speaker 6: That's one of the basic fundamentals of our society. I
- 11:23Speaker 6: think that you're right that this is the Trump effect,
- 11:26Speaker 6: and it certainly he's not even president yet, he's President
- 11:28Speaker 6: elects and they're already starting to change their corporate policy.
- 11:33Speaker 6: So I really hope we start to see this in Australia.
- 11:35Speaker 6: We should hire based on merit, not based on any
- 11:38Speaker 6: other characteristics. So you know, I think this is a
- 11:40Speaker 6: very welcomed and positive development.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Absolutely, and again this can be something our conservative politicians
- 11:48Speaker 3: are both at state and federal level, could emprace because
- 11:51Speaker 3: I think it would enjoy enormous popularity. Most people do
- 11:55Speaker 3: not like these sort of policies being instituted in their
- 11:58Speaker 3: workplaces or anywhere else. Staying in the US, Donald Trump
- 12:02Speaker 3: has lashed at at California Governor Gavin Newsom and la
- 12:06Speaker 3: met Karen Bass over the states lack of preparedness for
- 12:09Speaker 3: the catastrophic wildfires ravaging the state. Trump wrote on truth
- 12:14Speaker 3: Cecial the fires are still raging in LA, then competent politicians.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Have no idea how to put them out.
- 12:20Speaker 3: This is one of the worst catastrophes in the history
- 12:23Speaker 3: of our country. They just can't put out the fires.
- 12:26Speaker 3: What's wrong with them? Dan There has clearly been massive
- 12:32Speaker 3: failure here with forest management, water management, with properly resourcing
- 12:38Speaker 3: the fire department, those deipolicies we spoke about. They seem
- 12:42Speaker 3: to be preoccupied with that rather than actually being prepared
- 12:46Speaker 3: to fight these fires. And it's California, They're always going
- 12:49Speaker 3: to have wildfires or bushfires as we call them.
- 12:54Speaker 4: Yeah, that's right.
- 12:55Speaker 6: I mean, look, nobody cares about the color or the
- 12:57Speaker 6: gender of a firefighter, right. They want the fire put
- 13:00Speaker 6: out and they want to be kept safe. You know,
- 13:02Speaker 6: there's always going to be challenges no matter how hard
- 13:04Speaker 6: you work, some fires can get out of control. But
- 13:07Speaker 6: clearly this has been widespreading competence. As you mentioned, I
- 13:10Speaker 6: don't understand how they can't have enough water. I mean,
- 13:13Speaker 6: how is that possible? Don't have enough water coming out
- 13:14Speaker 6: the fire hydrants. That's just unbelievable that that could happen.
- 13:19Speaker 6: But that's what happens when you have a state that's
- 13:21Speaker 6: run based on woke identity politics rather than based on
- 13:24Speaker 6: actually dealing with the issues that people are concerned with.
- 13:28Speaker 6: What I have found so fascinating is I don't think
- 13:30Speaker 6: anyone of any sort of credibility has really blamed these
- 13:33Speaker 6: bush fires on climate change. You know, I know there's
- 13:36Speaker 6: probably a couple of academics out there that have done it,
- 13:38Speaker 6: but I already think the debate is starting to change
- 13:42Speaker 6: around climate change as well. More and more people understand
- 13:45Speaker 6: that it's to do with preparing the ground. So you
- 13:47Speaker 6: need to have proper burnoffs and native vegetation management and
- 13:50Speaker 6: so forth, which often you can't do because of the
- 13:52Speaker 6: red and Green tape. You've got to have the reservoirs
- 13:55Speaker 6: which are for You've got to have fire access and
- 13:57Speaker 6: road access to deal with these things. So, you know,
- 14:00Speaker 6: I really hope people stay safe, and I know there's
- 14:02Speaker 6: over twenty casualties so far and I hope that doesn't climb.
- 14:05Speaker 6: But in terms of the politics of it, it sort
- 14:08Speaker 6: of feels like the debate has changed around climate change
- 14:10Speaker 6: as well. When look, I think that's going to be
- 14:12Speaker 6: a positive development as well, and.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Hopefully again that feeds through to Australia because we've got
- 14:19Speaker 3: the exact same issues. We've got people in the bush
- 14:22Speaker 3: who say there's no back burning happening, the fuel loads
- 14:25Speaker 3: are out of control, and when a fire does come,
- 14:28Speaker 3: it's going to burn more intensely than it should. It's
- 14:31Speaker 3: going to be harder to put out. So we've got
- 14:33Speaker 3: those exact same issues here, Dan, and let's just hope
- 14:36Speaker 3: that we're learning from what's happening in California.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Dan Wile, thank you so much for your time this evening.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Now it's time for.
- 14:44Speaker 3: Lefties losing it, and we have so much content. The
- 14:48Speaker 3: lefties have been extra crazy over the Christmas break, so
- 14:52Speaker 3: get ready for a barrage of woke lunacy. Let's start
- 14:56Speaker 3: in Canada, where the neo Marxist timbo himself, Justin Trudeau
- 15:00Speaker 3: finally realized how loathe he is and he is stepping down.
- 15:04Speaker 3: I wonder if over the last few months there were
- 15:06Speaker 3: any clues to his unpopularity.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Take it away, rock legend, Mick Jagger, I.
- 15:12Speaker 4: Mean we love your mister Trudeau.
- 15:14Speaker 6: I mean his fan has always been such big fans
- 15:17Speaker 6: about fanis.
- 15:27Speaker 3: By the way, congratulations on the Canadian socer team.
- 15:31Speaker 7: In the.
- 15:35Speaker 3: Very skillful of MiG there to just quickly change the
- 15:38Speaker 3: topic to soccer as the Rolling Stones, I don't think
- 15:41Speaker 3: are too used to hearing booing at their concerts.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Justin Trudeau was a media darling.
- 15:47Speaker 3: The picture perfect progressive male feminist. But the people in
- 15:51Speaker 3: Canada have finally seen through him. He has caused untold
- 15:56Speaker 3: damage to the country.
- 15:58Speaker 1: And Canadians are no longer shy about.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Confronting him, whether it's in the streets or in a diner.
- 16:04Speaker 8: Mister Prime Minister, please get the PC.
- 16:10Speaker 4: Have a wonderful day, man, you zuck.
- 16:18Speaker 3: Now, many deranged folks have been utterly broken by Donald Trump.
- 16:24Speaker 3: And there are also those who we once thought were
- 16:27Speaker 3: sane and mildly intelligent who have allowed TDS trumped arrangement
- 16:32Speaker 3: syndrome to completely destroy their standing among thinking people.
- 16:37Speaker 1: And no man better.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Demonstrates that than Sam Harris, a member of the intellectual
- 16:43Speaker 3: Dark Web.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Remember that, but turns out he's just a massive hysteric.
- 16:48Speaker 3: Here's Sam Harris, who's now a ballistic expert, apparently embarrasses
- 16:54Speaker 3: himself by questioning whether Donald Trump.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Was actually shot.
- 16:59Speaker 3: Even fellow TEDS sufferer Bill Maher was left shaking his head.
- 17:04Speaker 9: I'm surprised that a rifle round making any degree of
- 17:08Speaker 9: contact with an ear wouldn't do more damage. I think
- 17:12Speaker 9: I think a shattered piece of shrapnel from a teleprompter
- 17:17Speaker 9: was far more likely to have done that to his
- 17:19Speaker 9: ear than a rifle round. It's so silly well, he said,
- 17:23Speaker 9: if you said, what rifle rounds doing the human bodies?
- 17:25Speaker 9: I know, but like if it just hit it by
- 17:28Speaker 9: the slightest possible degree, it just you know, it makes
- 17:32Speaker 9: much more sense. The guy behind, No, but I do
- 17:35Speaker 9: know there's no question there are rifle rounds. Fine, I
- 17:39Speaker 9: mean someone was killed. I'm not debating that at all.
- 17:42Speaker 1: He acknowledges that Corey actually died.
- 17:45Speaker 3: I mean, what an absolute descries Sam Harris's these days.
- 17:48Speaker 1: And if you think I'm being too hot on him,
- 17:51Speaker 1: remember this from.
- 17:52Speaker 3: A couple of years ago when he said he didn't
- 17:54Speaker 3: even care if Hunter Biden had dead bodies in his basement.
- 17:59Speaker 1: This guys deranged, I mean Hunter Biden.
- 18:02Speaker 9: At that point, Hunter Biden literally could have had the
- 18:05Speaker 9: corpses of children in his basement. I would not have cared.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Right now, I'm going to bring you plenty on the
- 18:12Speaker 3: suicidally stupid lefty policies that have devastated California and Hamstrong
- 18:17Speaker 3: the ability of firefighters to fight fires. But first let's
- 18:21Speaker 3: checking on a typical Californian lefters somehow finds a way
- 18:26Speaker 3: to blame Donald Trump for the fire response in a
- 18:29Speaker 3: state where the Democrats enjoy a supermajority, so we should.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Have seen this coming.
- 18:35Speaker 5: Instead of reaching out with compassion to the people in
- 18:39Speaker 5: my city, Los Angeles for losing everything and the fires,
- 18:46Speaker 5: miserable Trump and his cronies are politicizing it, of course,
- 18:49Speaker 5: for their own advantage. They're blaming Gavin Newson. They're blaming
- 18:53Speaker 5: the Democrats. Funny, he doesn't blame the Red States for
- 18:57Speaker 5: hurricanes and tornadoes and floods. No, he's a miserable man
- 19:04Speaker 5: out for his own good. And by the way, he
- 19:06Speaker 5: doesn't live in climate change.
- 19:07Speaker 1: It's a hoax.
- 19:09Speaker 5: So you know what we are in big trouble.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Where do you start.
- 19:14Speaker 3: Well, the difference between hurricanes and tornadoes and fires is
- 19:18Speaker 3: you can't cause a hurricane or tornado or fight a
- 19:22Speaker 3: hurricane or tornado. You can only do a stella rescue
- 19:25Speaker 3: and recovery job.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Which Ron de Santa's and others like him managed to do.
- 19:30Speaker 3: But you can do plenty to prevent the severity of fires,
- 19:33Speaker 3: like managing the fuel loads, a forest management, water management,
- 19:38Speaker 3: having a well resourced fire department plenty. Well, we'll speak
- 19:43Speaker 3: about that a little bit later, but first let's check
- 19:45Speaker 3: in on just how violently deranged the left have become
- 19:49Speaker 3: where they literally defend and indeed celebrate murder on the streets.
- 19:55Speaker 10: So the CEO of the multi billion dollar you know
- 20:00Speaker 10: I did healthcare insurance company was shot and killed this
- 20:03Speaker 10: morning in New York City. And I will say that
- 20:05Speaker 10: it is it is pretty tragic that the shooter was
- 20:09Speaker 10: only able to get one of them.
- 20:11Speaker 4: But it's a good start. I mean, it's a good,
- 20:13Speaker 4: good foundation. Good. We can only only move up from here.
- 20:17Speaker 4: And before any of you come at me with oh
- 20:19Speaker 4: my god, I can't believe you'd say that, go for yourself. Seriously,
- 20:23Speaker 4: go for yourself.
- 20:25Speaker 3: Now, bring you worrying news about Rosie O'Donnell, who's teds
- 20:29Speaker 3: maybe causing an outbreak off herpes.
- 20:33Speaker 8: And look what I have on my lip. Everybody's been
- 20:35Speaker 8: saying you have herpes, You have herpes all this time.
- 20:38Speaker 8: And I never had a cold sore in my life,
- 20:41Speaker 8: and now I have a cold soar, and it makes
- 20:43Speaker 8: me think that perhaps this weird pimple that had a
- 20:46Speaker 8: tiny little head was a cold soar too.
- 20:49Speaker 1: So I don't know.
- 20:49Speaker 8: I will let you know tomorrow if I do in
- 20:51Speaker 8: fact have herpes. As some of the taunting from the
- 20:55Speaker 8: MEGA people in the last.
- 20:58Speaker 11: Couple uh of weeks.
- 21:00Speaker 8: Hasn't it been fun, ladies and gentlemen, to be standing
- 21:03Speaker 8: in direct opposition to everything he is and represents and
- 21:10Speaker 8: always happened and always will be.
- 21:14Speaker 1: She's right. The feud with President Donald Trump goes a
- 21:18Speaker 1: long way back, years and years. You might remember this
- 21:21Speaker 1: from twenty sixteen.
- 21:23Speaker 12: You've called women you don't like fat pigs, dogs, slavs,
- 21:28Speaker 12: and disgusting animals.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Your Twitter account.
- 21:31Speaker 9: Only rosio o'donald, No, it.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Wasn't your Twitter account.
- 21:45Speaker 3: Now, let's check in with leftist Supreme Court Justice Katanji
- 21:49Speaker 3: Brown Jackson. She's now made her Broadway debut, yes, in
- 21:54Speaker 3: a production called Anne Juliet, which is a queer twist.
- 21:58Speaker 1: On Romeo and Juliet. Of course it is female empowerment sick.
- 22:11Speaker 1: I like it too.
- 22:12Speaker 5: I think what I like about it is that I
- 22:14Speaker 5: am having it very strongly negative reaction to it, like
- 22:18Speaker 5: I hate it, which.
- 22:20Speaker 3: Makes me think it must be Oh, you'll remember that's
- 22:23Speaker 3: the woman who didn't know what a woman was. She
- 22:25Speaker 3: thought you had to have a biology degree to answer
- 22:28Speaker 3: that question.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Let's go to the next next clip.
- 22:32Speaker 3: It's pretty incredible and if you want to see the decay,
- 22:35Speaker 3: the lawlessness that exists in parts of America. Then this
- 22:38Speaker 3: clip demonstrates it perfectly. Here you have thieves threatening to
- 22:44Speaker 3: call the cops on the storekeeper if he doesn't open
- 22:47Speaker 3: the doors so they can take their loot home.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Open.
- 23:00Speaker 13: Okay there, glhead Cola.
- 23:28Speaker 3: The sense of entitlement is off the charts. Let's look
- 23:32Speaker 3: at a new Netflix program. I think this is a
- 23:35Speaker 3: movie that looks like it was made by the jokesters
- 23:38Speaker 3: at Babylon B. This is a true story. This is
- 23:42Speaker 3: not something they've made up. But I've got to say,
- 23:46Speaker 3: as lefties often do, they will destroy the telling of
- 23:49Speaker 3: this important story with their usual self delight and idiocy.
- 23:53Speaker 3: This is a movie called six Triple eight starring Oprah's president.
- 23:59Speaker 8: This is Simon is proven to be legistical nightmare.
- 24:03Speaker 1: The women's you mean the white women's, Amy col.
- 24:12Speaker 12: They did not send us because they thought we could
- 24:15Speaker 12: do it.
- 24:16Speaker 4: We are here because.
- 24:18Speaker 1: They are sure we cannot.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Now to this attention saking victim who is complaining about
- 24:24Speaker 3: a wine tasting at a castle because he was misgendered again, our.
- 24:30Speaker 7: Server said yes, sir, when I was asking some questions,
- 24:34Speaker 7: and I said, oh no, no, no, I'm actually not
- 24:36Speaker 7: a sir. And instead of apologizing or I don't know
- 24:39Speaker 7: what else you would do other than apologize, they just
- 24:42Speaker 7: walked away, did not acknowledge what I said, just walked away.
- 24:46Speaker 7: We saw the server like whispering to a manager, and
- 24:48Speaker 7: a few minutes later the manager came over in a
- 24:51Speaker 7: really big smile, not acknowledging at all that the misgender
- 24:54Speaker 7: had happened. And I say, hey, look, the last person
- 24:57Speaker 7: they misgendered me and that really hurt. And they just
- 25:00Speaker 7: walked away, and the manager said, oh, well, some people
- 25:03Speaker 7: just aren't as progressive as you. And then they gave
- 25:05Speaker 7: us a nice little chocolate that suggested they wanted our
- 25:08Speaker 7: money but didn't want to say sorry. So we left
- 25:10Speaker 7: and got a full refund.
- 25:12Speaker 1: So they annoyed.
- 25:13Speaker 3: The servers got a free meal, and they're still complaining.
- 25:17Speaker 3: Let's go back to the devastating California fives and that
- 25:20Speaker 3: DEI madness that has afflicted the estate, the far left
- 25:24Speaker 3: Democrat stronghold of California, where the LA Fire Department Assistant
- 25:29Speaker 3: Chief Christine Larson has made statements like this. When we
- 25:32Speaker 3: talk about woke lunacy, folks, this.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Is what we mean.
- 25:36Speaker 14: You want to see somebody that responds to your house,
- 25:39Speaker 14: your emergency, whether it's a medical call or a fire call,
- 25:42Speaker 14: that looks like you. It gives that person a little
- 25:45Speaker 14: bit more ease knowing that somebody might understand their situation better.
- 25:49Speaker 14: Is she strong enough to do this? Or you couldn't
- 25:51Speaker 14: carry my husband out of a fire, which my response
- 25:54Speaker 14: is he got himself from the wrong place. If I
- 25:55Speaker 14: have to carry him out of a fire.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Where does one start.
- 26:04Speaker 3: I don't care if zero point five percent of firefighters
- 26:08Speaker 3: a female. The last thing I and I think any
- 26:10Speaker 3: sane person cares about if face with a deadly fire,
- 26:13Speaker 3: is the diversity of those who are rescuing me.
- 26:17Speaker 1: Can you believe she actually said there?
- 26:18Speaker 3: It doesn't matter if she can't carry a man to
- 26:20Speaker 3: safety because he shouldn't have got himself in the wrong place.
- 26:24Speaker 1: That's the attitude we've got in the fire department.
- 26:28Speaker 3: Now, let's check in with la Mayor Karen Bass, who
- 26:31Speaker 3: had these words of comfort for her constituents after returning
- 26:35Speaker 3: from an overseas junkard.
- 26:36Speaker 15: Do you owe citizens and apology for being absent while
- 26:39Speaker 15: their homes were burning? Do you regret coming the fire
- 26:43Speaker 15: department budget by millions of dollars, Madam, there have you
- 26:48Speaker 15: nothing to say today that? Have you absolutely nothing to
- 26:53Speaker 15: say to the citizens today? Elon Mosk says that you're
- 26:57Speaker 15: utterly incompetent. Are you considering your position, madam mayor have
- 27:04Speaker 15: you absolutely nothing to say to the citizens today who
- 27:07Speaker 15: are dealing with this disaster?
- 27:12Speaker 16: Now?
- 27:12Speaker 3: She promised she will not use her position for these
- 27:15Speaker 3: overseas trips, but she was gallivanting around Ghana when the
- 27:19Speaker 3: fires started. But the lefties are turning on each other
- 27:23Speaker 3: in California, here is La Fire Chief Chris and Cally
- 27:27Speaker 3: admitting that she has been failed by the City of
- 27:30Speaker 3: Los Angeles.
- 27:31Speaker 5: Does the City of Los Angeles fail you and your
- 27:33Speaker 5: department and our city?
- 27:35Speaker 12: It's my job to stand up as a chief and
- 27:38Speaker 12: exactly say justifiably what the fire department needs to operate
- 27:43Speaker 12: to meet the demands of the community.
- 27:45Speaker 17: Did they fail you?
- 27:46Speaker 12: That is our job and I tell you that's why
- 27:48Speaker 12: I'm here. So let's get us what we need so
- 27:50Speaker 12: firefighters can do their jobs.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Do they fail you?
- 27:54Speaker 6: Yes?
- 27:55Speaker 3: Still to come, they always roll. Alex Stein joins me
- 27:58Speaker 3: with the latest from the US AS, including increasing pressure
- 28:01Speaker 3: on Donald Trump to release all of the January six prisoners,
- 28:11Speaker 3: you're watching the Rita Panicky Show. Joining me now is
- 28:14Speaker 3: comedian and host of Prime Time with Alex Stein on
- 28:17Speaker 3: Blaze TV. Alex Stein, he is my second favorite Texan
- 28:22Speaker 3: in the world.
- 28:23Speaker 1: Alex.
- 28:23Speaker 3: Let's start with jd Vance, the incoming Vice president, has
- 28:28Speaker 3: said that Donald Trump will issue pardons for peaceful.
- 28:31Speaker 1: January six protesters only. Is that enough?
- 28:35Speaker 3: Should every January sixth prisoner now be released. They've been
- 28:39Speaker 3: behind bars for several years.
- 28:42Speaker 4: Reader they should all be pardoned on day one.
- 28:45Speaker 17: This is something that I'm very passionate about because there
- 28:48Speaker 17: was a lot of bad actors play that day, and
- 28:51Speaker 17: there's people that were pushed in there that didn't even
- 28:54Speaker 17: know what they were doing, and there was a lot
- 28:55Speaker 17: of bad actors. And if Donald Trump does not pardon them,
- 28:58Speaker 17: because what it comes down to is whether they acted
- 29:00Speaker 17: bad or not. Nobody that had a trial in Washington,
- 29:04Speaker 17: DC had a fair trial.
- 29:06Speaker 4: All of the trials were rigged against them.
- 29:09Speaker 17: So because of that, because they weren't on a level
- 29:11Speaker 17: playing field legally, and nothing was fair when it came
- 29:13Speaker 17: to the legal system, they all deserve a pardon, even
- 29:16Speaker 17: if they did something that would be considered violent. Because
- 29:20Speaker 17: none of them got a fair shake. So Donald Trump
- 29:23Speaker 17: has to do that, not just on day one, but
- 29:25Speaker 17: it has to get done very fast. People will give them,
- 29:28Speaker 17: the cabinets some time to get this done, but it
- 29:31Speaker 17: has to be done, and it needs to be a
- 29:33Speaker 17: high priority, probably the most important priority.
- 29:38Speaker 3: This is a big issue for a lot of Donald
- 29:41Speaker 3: Trump's supporters. This is something the media doesn't seem to understand.
- 29:45Speaker 3: This is not a secondary issue. The lawfare that has
- 29:50Speaker 3: taken place in that country, not just against President Trump,
- 29:54Speaker 3: but also against his supporters, against conservatives.
- 29:58Speaker 1: That was a big issue in the election campaign.
- 30:01Speaker 3: And I think the supporters of Donald Trump expect to
- 30:04Speaker 3: see actions now. He's talked a big game and they
- 30:08Speaker 3: now want to want to see him follow through with
- 30:10Speaker 3: some of those promises.
- 30:14Speaker 17: You're exactly right, and he has to, I mean cash Mattel.
- 30:16Speaker 17: A lot of people in the cabinet. They know that
- 30:19Speaker 17: nobody got a fair shake, and they know that a
- 30:20Speaker 17: lot of people's lives are ruined and just you know,
- 30:22Speaker 17: having the Department of Justice weaponize against American citizen.
- 30:25Speaker 4: Trump knows that the Department of.
- 30:27Speaker 17: Justice was weaponized against him, So he should be more
- 30:30Speaker 17: empathetic than anybody when it comes to January sixth, and
- 30:33Speaker 17: all those people were there because you know, they didn't
- 30:35Speaker 17: trust the election. And it's not Donald Trump's fault, but
- 30:38Speaker 17: I think that he can make it better and rectify it,
- 30:40Speaker 17: and he should use his power to do so.
- 30:44Speaker 3: Now there are reports that President Joe Biden, he's still president.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Is going to issue a preemptive.
- 30:50Speaker 3: Pardon for some of Donald Trump's enemies. He gave his
- 30:55Speaker 3: son Hunter sort of a preemptive one. He cleared of
- 31:00Speaker 3: all the charges he was facing in any charges he
- 31:03Speaker 3: may face, and this suggestions he might provide something similar
- 31:08Speaker 3: to the vice chairwoman of the January sixth Committee, Liz Cheney,
- 31:14Speaker 3: What do you think about that?
- 31:17Speaker 17: I mean, when it comes to Liz Cheney, this guy's
- 31:19Speaker 17: letting people out of Guntanamo obey.
- 31:21Speaker 4: I mean, there's nobody that Joe Biden won't pardon.
- 31:23Speaker 17: So the fact that he's going to pardon Liz Cheney,
- 31:26Speaker 17: I don't even care. You know, he's literally partnering some
- 31:29Speaker 17: of the most evil people in the world. So Liz
- 31:31Speaker 17: Cheney doesn't even move the scale in my opinion, and.
- 31:36Speaker 3: The number of people he is using his pardon powers
- 31:40Speaker 3: for is astonishing. We might look at that later in
- 31:43Speaker 3: the week, but some would say he's abusing that privilege. Well,
- 31:48Speaker 3: he's certainly abusing it in the people he's selecting to pardon.
- 31:51Speaker 3: Special Counsel Jack Smith. I want to talk to you
- 31:54Speaker 3: about him, Alex. He's the man who was at the
- 31:57Speaker 3: forefront of the witch hunt against Donald Trump. He has
- 32:01Speaker 3: now resigned from the Department of Justice after submitting his
- 32:04Speaker 3: final report yesterday. Donald Trump has reacted to his resignation.
- 32:10Speaker 3: He said that Smith was fired. He wrote on truth
- 32:14Speaker 3: Social Deranged. Jack Smith was fired today by the DOJ.
- 32:18Speaker 3: He is a disgrace to himself, his family, and his country.
- 32:22Speaker 3: After spending over one hundred million on the witch hunt
- 32:25Speaker 3: against Trump, he left town empty handed. And let's have
- 32:29Speaker 3: a listen to what incoming FBI Chief Cash Patel had
- 32:33Speaker 3: to say about Smith.
- 32:34Speaker 2: A little while ago, the judge just unsealed documents in
- 32:38Speaker 2: the Jack Smith case down in Florida, which says the
- 32:42Speaker 2: prosecutors themselves have admitted to tampering with evidence, to moving
- 32:46Speaker 2: the very boxes from one location outside of DC to
- 32:51Speaker 2: South Florida before they ever even charged Donald Trump. How
- 32:54Speaker 2: in the world can you not be prosecuting and charging
- 32:58Speaker 2: these constitutional gangers that are at DOJ, and they learn
- 33:01Speaker 2: it from the same place, the top downs, the same ags,
- 33:05Speaker 2: the same decks, the same FBI directors who are cheering
- 33:07Speaker 2: them on. Judge Cannon should be implementing actual contempt proceedings
- 33:12Speaker 2: against Jack Smith and the Department of Justice, flying to
- 33:15Speaker 2: a federal judge and withholding evidence of exclusion and innocence.
- 33:20Speaker 4: From Donald Trump.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Those contempt proceedings would be righteous and I'd like to
- 33:23Speaker 2: see those. Maybe we could put Jack Smith in prison.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Wow, that's Cash Ptel on the Benny Show.
- 33:30Speaker 3: What do you think, Alex Should Jack Smith end up
- 33:34Speaker 3: behind Boz?
- 33:36Speaker 17: I mean, honestly, I don't disagree with anything that Cash said.
- 33:39Speaker 17: I mean, these people have weaponized our Department of Justice
- 33:42Speaker 17: or what we call the Department of Injustice against American
- 33:45Speaker 17: citizens and the top American citizen, Donald Trump, and he
- 33:48Speaker 17: hasn't gotten a fair shake.
- 33:49Speaker 4: And that's why you could say that.
- 33:51Speaker 17: You know, his first term and the presidency was constantly
- 33:55Speaker 17: plagued by people like this attacking him and going after him,
- 33:59Speaker 17: trying to impede.
- 34:00Speaker 4: So people like this need to learn their lesson.
- 34:02Speaker 17: I don't know if they will actually prosecute them but
- 34:05Speaker 17: people need to stop messing with Donald Trump and try
- 34:07Speaker 17: to help him make this country great again. I mean,
- 34:10Speaker 17: California is on fire, we're having terrorist attacks, everybody's worried
- 34:14Speaker 17: for their lives readA. And that's not really just an
- 34:16Speaker 17: over exaggeration.
- 34:17Speaker 4: America.
- 34:18Speaker 17: We're just everything shifted and everybody's expecting something big to happen,
- 34:22Speaker 17: and we need these people to all come together, whether
- 34:25Speaker 17: they're liberal, it doesn't matter if they're conservative and support
- 34:28Speaker 17: the president. He's been elected in my opinion, three times
- 34:31Speaker 17: in a row, and definitely two times, so he deserves
- 34:33Speaker 17: America's respect, and people like Jack Smith see you later.
- 34:37Speaker 4: I would not want to switch positions with you right now.
- 34:41Speaker 3: Yes, the rubbish is taking itself out, but I think
- 34:44Speaker 3: you'd be naive to think the swamp, the bureaucracy, whatever
- 34:49Speaker 3: you want to call them, are going to say the
- 34:52Speaker 3: president has a mandate and we're going to implement his policies.
- 34:56Speaker 3: I think they're going to do everything that can straight
- 35:00Speaker 3: his agenda, to undermine him, to white hand him. But
- 35:04Speaker 3: I think this time around you're going to get a
- 35:06Speaker 3: very different Donald Trump. He's aware of what they're going
- 35:10Speaker 3: to do, and I think he's going to going there
- 35:13Speaker 3: fully equipped to deal with that bureaucracy, let's hope. So
- 35:17Speaker 3: there is a little bit of conflict within the MAGA
- 35:19Speaker 3: camp though, and it's continuing. Steve Bannon has slashed out
- 35:24Speaker 3: at Elon Musk, calling him evil. His slammed musk support
- 35:30Speaker 3: for the skilled worker visa program, which Silicon Valley loves,
- 35:36Speaker 3: and he said that he's planning to limit Musk's ability
- 35:39Speaker 3: to influence Donald Trump's agenda. He said, why do we
- 35:43Speaker 3: have South Africans, the most racist people on earth, white
- 35:46Speaker 3: South Africans making any comments at all on what goes
- 35:49Speaker 3: on in the United States, He told an Italian newspaper,
- 35:54Speaker 3: and he said, also.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Elon Musk should go back to South Africa.
- 35:57Speaker 4: Wow.
- 35:58Speaker 3: Is this causing many waves within the Trump camp? Or
- 36:03Speaker 3: are you always going to have some level of disagreement
- 36:07Speaker 3: even if it's a robust disagreement when you've got such
- 36:11Speaker 3: a big majority of people with different world views who
- 36:14Speaker 3: are fundamentally part of the Trump agenda, But they're not
- 36:19Speaker 3: going to agree on every topic every time.
- 36:23Speaker 17: No, you know, I don't want to go as far
- 36:25Speaker 17: as Steve ben and say that we need to deport
- 36:28Speaker 17: Elon Musk, but a lot of conservatives have always been
- 36:30Speaker 17: kind of a little bit more wary of Elon because
- 36:33Speaker 17: you know, he's into neurallink, where he wants to hook
- 36:35Speaker 17: a computer up to your brain, and you know, to us,
- 36:38Speaker 17: that just seems kind of weird to normal human beings
- 36:41Speaker 17: that they're going to have a computer hooks to their
- 36:43Speaker 17: brain so they can park their tesla and listen.
- 36:45Speaker 4: Elon Musk has done so many great things when it
- 36:47Speaker 4: comes to free speech on X.
- 36:49Speaker 17: I love Elon Musk, but at the same time, you know,
- 36:51Speaker 17: he is a immigrant in our country and he's calling
- 36:55Speaker 17: the shots, some really important shots, So I think that
- 36:57Speaker 17: just makes people always skeptic call of you know, the
- 37:01Speaker 17: people that are in power. But honestly, when it comes
- 37:04Speaker 17: to Elon muss as long as he keeps Twitter where
- 37:06Speaker 17: I can survive on there, I'm going to respect Elon.
- 37:08Speaker 17: You know, he wants to go to Mars, so dang bad.
- 37:11Speaker 17: I think we need to worry about America first, you
- 37:14Speaker 17: know what I mean, And I think we should put
- 37:15Speaker 17: America before Mars. But rather than that, Elon's a good
- 37:18Speaker 17: guy and I support him.
- 37:21Speaker 1: Now before you go, Alex.
- 37:22Speaker 3: Donald Trump has posted footage of his viral exchange with
- 37:27Speaker 3: that President Barack Obama at President Carter's funeral. I've got
- 37:33Speaker 3: to say, this is hilarious stuff, and I like to
- 37:36Speaker 3: believe it's pretty close to the actual discussion they had.
- 37:40Speaker 9: Well, mister president, for a second term. Bro, I'm very
- 37:46Speaker 9: nice to see.
- 37:47Speaker 10: Congratulations the hell you do it a lot.
- 37:50Speaker 4: Better, Dan Hell.
- 37:51Speaker 15: I bet I know when.
- 37:53Speaker 11: Totally well, come on, anyone could beat her.
- 37:59Speaker 4: I was just as a you know what happened.
- 38:02Speaker 9: He just didn't want to leave.
- 38:04Speaker 4: I know is what happened. I did what I could
- 38:07Speaker 4: to help her. She was for a singer.
- 38:09Speaker 13: Do you know what?
- 38:10Speaker 11: I realized.
- 38:13Speaker 17: So much?
- 38:14Speaker 4: I know she'll never forget me.
- 38:19Speaker 3: I wonder if one day we will have lip readers
- 38:22Speaker 3: tell us precisely what was said there. But what do
- 38:24Speaker 3: you think of the fact that, after everything Barack Obama
- 38:29Speaker 3: threw at Donald Trump, calling him a fascist, modern day hitler,
- 38:35Speaker 3: spreading all sorts of lies about him, even the most
- 38:38Speaker 3: debunked lies about the very fine people hoax, he sat
- 38:43Speaker 3: down and had to chat with him, was very very
- 38:47Speaker 3: friendly and polite. Is that a surprise or is everything
- 38:54Speaker 3: forgiven in the world of politics.
- 38:58Speaker 4: Well, I don't think anything's for again.
- 39:00Speaker 17: And there's no love loss between Barack Obama and Donald Trump.
- 39:03Speaker 17: But Barack is probably happy that he had an excuse
- 39:05Speaker 17: to not bring Michelle so he could just have a
- 39:07Speaker 17: boys trip with Donald And you saw him paling around
- 39:10Speaker 17: with George Bush. So you know, Barack Obama realizes that
- 39:13Speaker 17: they are in a special fraternity of men that very
- 39:15Speaker 17: few people are. You know, there's only been forty seven
- 39:18Speaker 17: presidents there.
- 39:19Speaker 4: I mean, let's excuse me.
- 39:20Speaker 17: There's been more presidents than that, less than that, but
- 39:24Speaker 17: I'm saying.
- 39:24Speaker 4: There's actually presidents before the first president there.
- 39:27Speaker 17: So you know, there's a lot of conspiracies behind how
- 39:29Speaker 17: many presidents you've ever had. And I'm saying that on
- 39:30Speaker 17: Sky News, but you got to look into that. But Rita,
- 39:33Speaker 17: I'm just saying they're in a very special fraternity. So
- 39:35Speaker 17: they're all kind of friends, you know at the end of.
- 39:36Speaker 1: The day, right, Yeah.
- 39:39Speaker 3: And I always got the feeling that Barack never really
- 39:43Speaker 3: rated Kamala Harris. He may have campaigned for her, but
- 39:46Speaker 3: I mean he's campaigning wasn't very helpful, but he never
- 39:49Speaker 3: thought he had his heart in it, just the same
- 39:51Speaker 3: with President Biden, and I think he really thought he
- 39:54Speaker 3: was up to it either.
- 39:55Speaker 1: Alex Stein, thank you so much for your time this evening.
- 39:59Speaker 4: Thank you, Rita.
- 40:00Speaker 17: It's a pleasure and I missed you so Happy Holiday's,
- 40:02Speaker 17: Happy new Year. Let's go sky News, Thank you, Rita.
- 40:06Speaker 3: Still to come, we'll bring you the latest from Hollywood,
- 40:08Speaker 3: where celebrities are battling the deadly California fires.
- 40:12Speaker 1: Kinsey Schofield joins me next. Welcome back.
- 40:20Speaker 3: Joining me now is celebrity and rural commentator Kinsey Schofield. Kinsey,
- 40:26Speaker 3: let's hear from Joe Rogan and Mel Gibson.
- 40:29Speaker 1: And Mel Gibson had some very interesting.
- 40:31Speaker 3: Things to say about California Governor Gavin Newsom's failure to
- 40:36Speaker 3: prepare the state for these catastrophic wildfires that are ravaging La.
- 40:41Speaker 11: Still in twenty nineteen, I think Newsom said, you know,
- 40:44Speaker 11: I'm going to take care of the forest and maintain
- 40:46Speaker 11: the forests and do all that kind of stuff. He
- 40:47Speaker 11: didn't do.
- 40:48Speaker 9: Anything, didn't do anything.
- 40:49Speaker 4: And then on top of that, they cut the water off.
- 40:51Speaker 11: Yeah that's right. Yeah, it's all funny. And then I
- 40:53Speaker 11: think all our tax dollars probably went for Gavin's Hairjill.
- 40:57Speaker 11: I don't know, but it's like you know, it's that
- 40:59Speaker 11: it's like the place is just on fire.
- 41:01Speaker 4: Well, the whole state is just so poorly mannered.
- 41:05Speaker 3: Kinsey is everyone knows he's conservative. There's not too many
- 41:08Speaker 3: conservatives in Hollywood. He has to finance his own films
- 41:14Speaker 3: these days, but it seems to be working for him.
- 41:16Speaker 3: Is his opinion on this issue widely held in Hollywood
- 41:21Speaker 3: in California? Or are they blaming Donald Trump.
- 41:25Speaker 1: And climate change for these fires? And the response?
- 41:28Speaker 16: Yeah, you know, I do think he's given a lot
- 41:31Speaker 16: more credibility because his son is a firefighter out there.
- 41:34Speaker 16: His son is fighting these fires, so he does have
- 41:37Speaker 16: some inside information and some intel. But you know, I
- 41:40Speaker 16: do believe that the majority of people believe that this
- 41:42Speaker 16: is on the government. According to Fox News, Gavin Knewso
- 41:46Speaker 16: cut funding for wildlife and forest resilience by more than
- 41:49Speaker 16: one million just months before these wildfires. Mayor Karen Bass
- 41:53Speaker 16: initially tried to cut from the LA Fire Department's budget
- 41:57Speaker 16: twenty three million in twenty twenty four, but settled for
- 42:00Speaker 16: seventeen point six million in cuts, and she ordered an
- 42:04Speaker 16: additional forty nine million dollars in cuts to the fire
- 42:07Speaker 16: Department's budget a week before the fires started.
- 42:12Speaker 3: Kinsey Oscar nominee actor James Woods. He's a resident of
- 42:16Speaker 3: the Pacific Palisades and he posted this on x He said,
- 42:21Speaker 3: the work ahead to rebuild our beautiful Pacific Palisades and
- 42:25Speaker 3: all areas destroyed by Gavin Newsom's hillatious fires will be monumental.
- 42:30Speaker 3: We can't waste time and energy easing this creep out
- 42:33Speaker 3: of office. If this piece of shiit had one ounce
- 42:37Speaker 3: of decency, he would resign. The pretty strong words there.
- 42:44Speaker 3: How much pressure is there on Gavin newsm because it
- 42:47Speaker 3: seems to be he has failed on just about every
- 42:51Speaker 3: level when it comes to preparing the state for this
- 42:55Speaker 3: sort of fire, which he would have known was coming.
- 42:59Speaker 3: This is Calorfuna near after all that have wildfires.
- 43:04Speaker 16: And he keeps passing the buck. I mean, I have
- 43:06Speaker 16: seen some journalists really press him and say, you know,
- 43:10Speaker 16: you've got to give us a better answer than that.
- 43:12Speaker 16: But what he continues to do is pass the buck
- 43:15Speaker 16: and say, oh, well, that's LA's problem.
- 43:17Speaker 1: We're going to have to talk to La about that.
- 43:19Speaker 16: You know, at the end of the day, like I said,
- 43:22Speaker 16: he cuts significant amounts of resources. When he did cut
- 43:27Speaker 16: that one hundred million dollars. He does have to look
- 43:30Speaker 16: in the mirror and figure out where he is to blame,
- 43:33Speaker 16: because this does not all fall on Karen Bass.
- 43:38Speaker 3: Now, Harry and Meghan Markle have been meeting with victims
- 43:42Speaker 3: of the LA fires along with first responders at the
- 43:45Speaker 3: Pasadena Convention Center. This is an evacuation site for victims
- 43:50Speaker 3: of the Eton fire and out of the devastation. Meghan
- 43:54Speaker 3: is also delayed the launch of her new Netflix series
- 43:58Speaker 3: to focus on the needs of those impacted by the
- 44:01Speaker 3: wildfires in my home state of California.
- 44:04Speaker 1: She said, Kinsey, we've seen footage of.
- 44:07Speaker 3: Harry and Megan meeting with victims, hugging them.
- 44:13Speaker 1: Is that something that has.
- 44:16Speaker 3: Brought some comfort to those who are facing this deadly catastrophe.
- 44:23Speaker 16: I think I stand with Family Ties star Justine Bateman
- 44:27Speaker 16: when she called this a photo op, she said, Megan
- 44:29Speaker 16: and Harry are no better than ambulance chasers. What a
- 44:33Speaker 16: repulsive photo op they achieved. They don't live here. They
- 44:36Speaker 16: are tourists, disaster tourists. There are plenty of things they
- 44:40Speaker 16: could do in Montecito, but they jumped in the car
- 44:43Speaker 16: and drove over almost two hundred miles to be in
- 44:48Speaker 16: the middle of ground zero. These are two people that
- 44:50Speaker 16: are paranoid about security. Why bring that drama and chaos
- 44:54Speaker 16: to a place that's already hurting and a place that
- 44:58Speaker 16: doesn't need any additional drama and chaos.
- 45:01Speaker 3: As many people said on x having these people suffered enough,
- 45:05Speaker 3: the last thing they need is Aaron Meghan descending upon
- 45:10Speaker 3: them with camera crews getting images that they know are
- 45:14Speaker 3: going to go around the world. Don't they know if
- 45:16Speaker 3: they're going to be there, they're going to get plenty
- 45:18Speaker 3: of footage that we've played for you tonight now, Kinzi
- 45:22Speaker 3: Kim Kardashian has prompted outrage on social media for posting
- 45:27Speaker 3: ads for her Skims brand while these buyers are devastating, La,
- 45:34Speaker 3: what do you think about this? A lot of people
- 45:36Speaker 3: are saying she should be doing what other celebrities are doing,
- 45:39Speaker 3: which is showing solidarity and just sort of pulling back
- 45:42Speaker 3: from the marketing and promotion whilst this is happening.
- 45:47Speaker 16: And you also saw Chloe Kardashian going after Karen Bauss,
- 45:51Speaker 16: you know, saying what a joke you are for not
- 45:53Speaker 16: being prepared for this, and Chloe saying that she sided
- 45:56Speaker 16: with our fire chiefs. They are clearly if you watch
- 46:02Speaker 16: our news, they are delivering different messages, and they are
- 46:06Speaker 16: clearly behind the scenes going out at each other's throats.
- 46:10Speaker 16: My favorite headline is Kim Kardashian was busy promoting her
- 46:12Speaker 16: clothing brand while Los Angeles burned to the ground. Let's
- 46:15Speaker 16: hope that's not her legacy. I have heard that she
- 46:18Speaker 16: has donated to some of the firefighters when it comes
- 46:22Speaker 16: to meals and things, so she has tried to step
- 46:24Speaker 16: up since those horrible headlines.
- 46:28Speaker 3: I think you're going to see a big fat donation
- 46:31Speaker 3: from her coming because this is the sort of bad
- 46:34Speaker 3: press that can stick. Actor Tyler Perry a good friend
- 46:38Speaker 3: of Megan and Harry. He's posted a lengthy statement on
- 46:42Speaker 3: Instagram slamming insurance companies for canceling millions of policies just.
- 46:47Speaker 1: Before the LA fires broke out.
- 46:49Speaker 3: He wrote, does anyone else find it appalling but insurance
- 46:53Speaker 3: companies to take billions of dollars out of communities for
- 46:56Speaker 3: years and then all of a sudden be allowed to
- 46:58Speaker 3: cancel millions of polo for the very people they became
- 47:03Speaker 3: rich on? Can you tell me more about this, kindsy,
- 47:05Speaker 3: because it seems incredible that insurance company could cancel any policy.
- 47:10Speaker 3: I mean, that's the deal. You pay them these premiums.
- 47:13Speaker 3: You may never make a claim over thirty forty years,
- 47:17Speaker 3: but it's therefore a disaster just like this.
- 47:21Speaker 14: You.
- 47:21Speaker 16: According to the insurance companies, they they were afraid they
- 47:25Speaker 16: wouldn't be able to afford the payouts and that's why
- 47:28Speaker 16: ultimately they canceled hundreds of these victims insurance policies months ago.
- 47:34Speaker 16: There is one woman that stayed despite the evacuation. Her
- 47:38Speaker 16: parents were ninety years old, they'd been in the home
- 47:41Speaker 16: for seventy years, and she just stayed there with her
- 47:44Speaker 16: fire hose sprang the house down. Thankfully, the last time
- 47:47Speaker 16: I checked it had been spared. But that's all her
- 47:50Speaker 16: parents had. They were ninety years old. They were afraid
- 47:52Speaker 16: they were going to lose their house, and she did
- 47:54Speaker 16: that because they lost their insurance. They had no other option,
- 47:58Speaker 16: so she risked her life. So this is not just
- 48:01Speaker 16: a celebrity thing.
- 48:02Speaker 1: You know.
- 48:02Speaker 16: This is impacting a lot of different people of all
- 48:05Speaker 16: age groups and different classes, and it's devastating.
- 48:12Speaker 3: Absolutely, and those people are less equipped to recover from
- 48:16Speaker 3: this than your celebrities whose properties are worth millions and
- 48:20Speaker 3: they probably have several of them. It's incredible. I mean
- 48:23Speaker 3: the fact that they can cancel these policies. It's not
- 48:27Speaker 3: just financially devastating, it can lead to loss of life because,
- 48:31Speaker 3: like you said, people will stay back at their properties
- 48:34Speaker 3: when they should be leaving to try to save them
- 48:36Speaker 3: and this is just putting themselves in greater danger.
- 48:39Speaker 1: Kinsey Schofield, thank you.
- 48:41Speaker 3: So much for your time this evening, and that's all
- 48:43Speaker 3: the time we have tonight. I'll see you tomorrow night
- 48:46Speaker 3: at eleven up. Next is Newsnight.
