- 0:20Speaker 3: Shock Show.
- 0:20Speaker 4: We're Wayne Dandy, You may Vegan Council comes, it comes
- 0:32Speaker 4: to morth Is it just.
- 0:38Speaker 5: I'm a doing.
- 0:39Speaker 4: I'm gonna go on the way you made Bill Vegan.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. I'm listening to the Sport Shock Show.
- 0:49Speaker 1: I'm the Sport Shock Wayne Candy. Good morning to you
- 0:52Speaker 1: out there in listening and land. It's a beautiful morning
- 0:57Speaker 1: here and add on Land to Georgia. Son is coming up.
- 1:03Speaker 1: High is expected to be around seventy five. Spring is
- 1:08Speaker 1: still Remember we are still in spring. I know some
- 1:11Speaker 1: of you keep forgetting that because some days pop out
- 1:14Speaker 1: and it feels like summer. But we are still about
- 1:17Speaker 1: a month away from when they will stamp it to
- 1:21Speaker 1: be summer spring fall. Those are the seasons where weather
- 1:26Speaker 1: goes back and forth. And today, having a little chili
- 1:29Speaker 1: start outside. But here in the studio with my mighty
- 1:34Speaker 1: Muske tears, it's already on bad Redusa in the building.
- 1:41Speaker 1: He wants to know about social currency, he's been hearing
- 1:48Speaker 1: that word or that phrase this weekend. And do you
- 1:53Speaker 1: have social currency? Big Kenny, the funny man himself, Comanche
- 1:58Speaker 1: Greg are trying to enlighten him that social currency is
- 2:04Speaker 1: a I would imagine a synonym for what we call clout,
- 2:13Speaker 1: and then the sports shock. Here's all of that social
- 2:16Speaker 1: currency clout to steal derived from the word fame when
- 2:25Speaker 1: you come to me. So nobody asked me my opinion.
- 2:27Speaker 1: But since I got the mic first, I'm just gonna
- 2:31Speaker 1: push it in there. So we got social currency by one,
- 2:35Speaker 1: which was how this fire started. Big Kenny, command you,
- 2:39Speaker 1: Greg blew on the fire with a little idea of
- 2:43Speaker 1: clout and then the uh, the sports shock. I just
- 2:48Speaker 1: went on and threw some kerosene on it to get
- 2:51Speaker 1: it going out. Now that's a five. So we, gentlemen,
- 2:56Speaker 1: did we did? We put that in the bed because
- 2:58Speaker 1: you know, we had a lot that we didn't we got.
- 3:00Speaker 1: There's a lot of sports you know that happened this weekend,
- 3:03Speaker 1: from NBA Game seven's to collapses, to the Kentucky Derby
- 3:10Speaker 1: to basketball tonight, all kinds of things happening in here
- 3:14Speaker 1: over the Lies seven. Shiloh Sanders telling people to go
- 3:18Speaker 1: get sandwiches, got a lot of things to hit on
- 3:21Speaker 1: real quick. Did we get the social currency that faded
- 3:25Speaker 1: to clout that ran into fame? Can we lock all
- 3:31Speaker 1: that kind of together in a sports shock?
- 3:33Speaker 2: I would assert that we had a full circle moment
- 3:38Speaker 2: because it all used to start with fame. First, you
- 3:45Speaker 2: had to do something that people thought was entertaining or special,
- 3:50Speaker 2: separated you from regular people quote unquote, and then that
- 3:57Speaker 2: gave you a degree of clout because everybody let the
- 4:02Speaker 2: celebrities in. First, everybody let the famous people in, and
- 4:05Speaker 2: everybody want to give them free stuff. And that leads
- 4:10Speaker 2: to twenty twenty six, where because now charisma is riz
- 4:17Speaker 2: social currency has replaced the.
- 4:21Speaker 6: Word cloud command you, Greg, I would agree that it
- 4:27Speaker 6: starts with fame like before before social media, what how
- 4:37Speaker 6: what is that that kind of person who has that
- 4:39Speaker 6: kind of attention, That's that's fame and it's I would
- 4:44Speaker 6: say that it's also it turned into cloud and then
- 4:48Speaker 6: along with social media, I think cloud is still like
- 4:51Speaker 6: kind of the link there between fame and social currency,
- 4:55Speaker 6: but it starts with garnering some kind of fame, so
- 5:00Speaker 6: it's all connected.
- 5:03Speaker 1: When you hear all that what do you you think
- 5:06Speaker 1: about your social currency. I don't. I'm still stuck on that.
- 5:12Speaker 1: You don't have to be.
- 5:15Speaker 7: Famous to be able to not saying famous because you're famous,
- 5:20Speaker 7: not worldwide famous, to be able to have cloud. You
- 5:23Speaker 7: may have cloud in your local area. You may have
- 5:26Speaker 7: cloud here and there, but you may not be on
- 5:30Speaker 7: social media. So I'm just trying to figure out the difference.
- 5:33Speaker 7: Say that there's a different where you got real cloud,
- 5:37Speaker 7: but then you got social media cloud.
- 5:39Speaker 1: But I don't. I don't have to be on social
- 5:42Speaker 1: media to have social current currency either. Well, I mean
- 5:45Speaker 1: I can see, I can understand that, and I don't
- 5:47Speaker 1: have to be on social media to have cloud. That's true.
- 5:51Speaker 1: But can you see how both of those derived from
- 5:56Speaker 1: I see it. I'm fame.
- 5:58Speaker 7: Yeah, out facts. It is because you could because true cloud,
- 6:04Speaker 7: true cloud. But you have cloud in Chicago when you
- 6:08Speaker 7: was sixteen, you had cloud. You could walk go do
- 6:11Speaker 7: things in Chicago as a teenager what other teenagers maybe
- 6:14Speaker 7: couldn't do. But you wasn't famous, like and you wouldn't
- 6:16Speaker 7: all over here and here now, but you had that cloud.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Uh, internationally known, locally respected, internationally locally respected. But I'm saying,
- 6:25Speaker 2: but I'm internationally known, but I'm locally respected.
- 6:30Speaker 1: That's clout.
- 6:32Speaker 2: You might be respected where you act, and then you
- 6:36Speaker 2: go somewhere else and you got to re establish yourself
- 6:40Speaker 2: Kenny worldwide.
- 6:41Speaker 7: All I'm saying is that this social media thing, you
- 6:44Speaker 7: might not even have deserve this cloud.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Worldwide anywhere in the world. And all this them from
- 6:51Speaker 1: a conversation that you and your friends were having about
- 6:54Speaker 1: Klay Thompson and uh the former girlfriend this, and it
- 7:03Speaker 1: became an idea that Clay doesn't have social currency. Yes,
- 7:11Speaker 1: that's what they were trying to telling me that Clay
- 7:13Speaker 1: Thomps Now not Day. Let's let's act like you represent Day.
- 7:17Speaker 1: I'm not representing them. Well, you brought the story so
- 7:20Speaker 1: right now and you you're representing. You're trying to tell
- 7:26Speaker 1: me that Clay Thompson, the four time NBA champ, son
- 7:33Speaker 1: of Michael Thompson, longtime fourteen fifteen year in NBA and
- 7:38Speaker 1: he was also a champ, does not have clout. No,
- 7:44Speaker 1: I didn't because I heard of Clay Thompson, yes, before
- 7:47Speaker 1: I heard of Megan the Stallion. I have to So
- 7:52Speaker 1: how is it that he doesn't have social currency? That's
- 7:55Speaker 1: what I'm trying to figure out that's your term. That's
- 7:58Speaker 1: what I'm trying to understand. Want to understand what social currency.
- 8:02Speaker 7: If these people are saying that Megan has more social
- 8:05Speaker 7: currency than Clay and I'm talking about this man got four.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Rings, sir, do you do you know what the context
- 8:11Speaker 1: of that was?
- 8:12Speaker 2: That her social currency had the collective at large, the
- 8:18Speaker 2: people they that you talk about villainizing him for their breakup.
- 8:23Speaker 2: That was the social currency people are talking about is
- 8:27Speaker 2: that she supposedly asked him for an exorbitant amount of
- 8:31Speaker 2: money per month just to be his girlfriend, and he
- 8:34Speaker 2: said that that was ridiculous, and people came to her
- 8:37Speaker 2: defense saying that she don't need no money.
- 8:39Speaker 1: She got this and they said no, Clay got all
- 8:41Speaker 1: the money.
- 8:42Speaker 2: But the social currency was that they saw her as
- 8:46Speaker 2: a victim in all of this and he was painted
- 8:49Speaker 2: as a villain. That's what made social currency so just
- 8:56Speaker 2: unpredicted of you. That's what makes an unpredictable. And like
- 9:01Speaker 2: you said, what I'm.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Saying is that she they're saying that she has more
- 9:09Speaker 1: and I'm like you, I knew Clay. No first, don't
- 9:12Speaker 1: don't rope yourself over here with me. Thompson.
- 9:15Speaker 7: I knew Clay talking about Clay donalson. For Meghan, what
- 9:17Speaker 7: I'm saying, how is her social What are you upset about?
- 9:21Speaker 2: Her social currency is not more than I just don't
- 9:24Speaker 2: understand the social perspective.
- 9:27Speaker 6: It's still about perspective because Okay, we heard of Clay
- 9:31Speaker 6: Thompson before we heard of Megan. There's some people who
- 9:35Speaker 6: had never heard of Clay Thompson, but they're huge fans
- 9:38Speaker 6: of Megan. So they might say something like that that
- 9:41Speaker 6: she has more social currency because they don't.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Know who he is.
- 9:44Speaker 1: That just might mean that they don't people.
- 9:48Speaker 2: There are people that are in favor of being individuals
- 9:51Speaker 2: and they don't believe in teamwork, and they would try
- 9:54Speaker 2: and hate on Clay because he didn't get famous by hisself.
- 9:58Speaker 1: He needed more people. Megan be t and toes down.
- 10:00Speaker 1: She needed a team. She needed a team. Okay, you're right,
- 10:06Speaker 1: you're right, and and this is the thing, this is
- 10:08Speaker 1: but but and here is here is the biggest thing.
- 10:12Speaker 1: While the sports shot that never plugged into social media,
- 10:16Speaker 1: all you're sitting here doing is debating the idea that
- 10:24Speaker 1: the people who like Megan put out things to defend
- 10:28Speaker 1: Megan and the things that people who like Clay put
- 10:32Speaker 1: out things to defend Clay and then you argue over them.
- 10:37Speaker 1: They're not signed trying to see the other side of
- 10:40Speaker 1: the ale. They're just picking sides. And that's what it
- 10:48Speaker 1: always seems what social media is doing. It's just but no, no, no,
- 10:52Speaker 1: don't give me that look, and then you plug anyway anyway, anyway,
- 11:00Speaker 1: he bought, but.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Want to tap out, and then we debated and we
- 11:06Speaker 2: try and get him to understand that it's just a
- 11:09Speaker 2: new word. It ain't nothing brand new. It's the same
- 11:13Speaker 2: way back when Brad Branjelina and Sean Pen and Madonna.
- 11:19Speaker 1: It goes back.
- 11:20Speaker 2: We've had adulation and social currency before. That's what I'm saying.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Some people didn't know who Sean Pen was, but everybody
- 11:28Speaker 2: knew Madonna. That's just the same, and people would stand
- 11:32Speaker 2: around and argue about it. You know, That's what I'm saying.
- 11:37Speaker 2: You know this is wrestling, and you still keep falling
- 11:41Speaker 2: and brushing me off like you're not going to continue
- 11:43Speaker 2: to plug into it.
- 11:46Speaker 1: You're going to continue to plug into this daily, social
- 11:51Speaker 1: media daily, so obviously you're not tired of it. I'm
- 11:57Speaker 1: to do something I was tired of it, so I
- 12:01Speaker 1: do somethinglous because I can only get in something that
- 12:05Speaker 1: we are actually trying to find resolution, not just defend sides.
- 12:13Speaker 1: And that's all social media. I will talking about the
- 12:15Speaker 1: restaurant with Javita Moore, people were bagging it just on
- 12:20Speaker 1: one principle. They're holding hostage that these people already knew
- 12:24Speaker 1: who Javita Moore is and was intentionally trying to cover up. Well,
- 12:30Speaker 1: maybe that wasn't how we put our store up. We've
- 12:35Speaker 1: been sitting here for years figuring out when we get
- 12:37Speaker 1: a store, this is how the backdrop is going to look.
- 12:40Speaker 1: We finally found a location. It just happened to have
- 12:42Speaker 1: that We don't even know who that person is up there.
- 12:45Speaker 1: But you, as someone in the community, thought I should
- 12:48Speaker 1: have already known this and changed the thousands and millions
- 12:53Speaker 1: of dollar campaign I had and not cover it up.
- 12:57Speaker 1: So you found an apparatus, which is social needed to
- 13:00Speaker 1: go and bag on my restaurant, which you have never
- 13:03Speaker 1: came into. So you instantly became a critic of something
- 13:10Speaker 1: that you haven't even tried. M hm hm.
- 13:15Speaker 2: And you you're so full of yourself that you imagine
- 13:19Speaker 2: everyone should know as intimately as you know the things
- 13:24Speaker 2: you care about.
- 13:26Speaker 1: So more social media, but you're going back on it.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Don't get you a couple of hours a day. This
- 13:32Speaker 1: will be back more Shot show right after this.
- 13:40Speaker 8: I'm running run up back, don't go Awayne Born of
- 13:51Speaker 8: the Sports John Hill with Wayne Gambia is coming up next.
- 13:55Speaker 1: I want I gonna go with God.
- 13:57Speaker 5: But returning military vets. They've served our country at home

- 17:02Speaker 1: in the studio. Comanchic Greg Bad producer is in the building.
- 17:07Speaker 1: The funny man Pig Kenny as well. Guys. I'm gonna
- 17:10Speaker 1: give you a piece of napkins, a napkin piece of napkin.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Right here. You got a pin. Everybody got a pin,
- 17:16Speaker 1: got a pin. Everybody got a pin. I got a pin.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Number two. Almost never carry a pin. I have one
- 17:22Speaker 1: right here. I want you to spell two words. One
- 17:34Speaker 1: is silouette. Spell silouette, and two it's extraordinary, right those
- 17:44Speaker 1: two words. Spell those for me silouette an extra ordinary
- 17:51Speaker 1: this weekend. Uh the NBA game Seven's all around. You
- 17:56Speaker 1: can pass them to me when you finished. I see
- 18:00Speaker 1: man she Greg as his me put Greg. Is anybody
- 18:13Speaker 1: else ready do sir? It's spelled one of them? Oh
- 18:18Speaker 1: put put on my face down because I can see it.
- 18:20Speaker 1: There ain't nobody copying you. You might be the last
- 18:24Speaker 1: person I'm gonna copy you.
- 18:26Speaker 13: Might.
- 18:27Speaker 1: There we go. I just wanted to get those in
- 18:32Speaker 1: early in the show. See if the guys can spell
- 18:35Speaker 1: siloette and extra orderinary. And I appreciate you guys for
- 18:41Speaker 1: not trying to punch you on a computer or dollar friend,
- 18:46Speaker 1: call a friend whatever that show called million dollars to
- 18:50Speaker 1: be a millionaire, I want the spelling bead sixth grade,
- 18:54Speaker 1: so I know I definitely wouldn't see what I'm saying. Okay, okay, yeah,
- 18:59Speaker 1: that means I can spell well. A lot of news
- 19:01Speaker 1: coming off of the weekend. One of the big stories
- 19:04Speaker 1: is the Live Golf is going out of business. The
- 19:08Speaker 1: Saudi family, the funding, they say based on Middle East
- 19:15Speaker 1: war issues, have officially pulled their money from a Live Golf,
- 19:23Speaker 1: and guys like Phil Milkelson, the Great Lefty are some
- 19:31Speaker 1: of the big names that a lot of the people
- 19:34Speaker 1: I was reading articles on what was saying they might
- 19:36Speaker 1: not let feel back on the p G A tour
- 19:42Speaker 1: command you, Greg mc kenny, bad producer?
- 19:45Speaker 13: Is that.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Justified? I thought there was a like a path that
- 19:52Speaker 1: if you were on Livy could come back. It just
- 19:54Speaker 1: had to do certain things maybe so get you into
- 20:02Speaker 1: I read three different articles where the person that was
- 20:05Speaker 1: writing the article I was just explaining like if somebody
- 20:09Speaker 1: misses on being able to come back, Bill Micholson would
- 20:14Speaker 1: be one of those people, Great Lefty.
- 20:18Speaker 2: I don't think everybody had the path back. I think
- 20:21Speaker 2: it was a couple of hardliners in the beginning that
- 20:25Speaker 2: had to just, you know, pick your side and stick
- 20:29Speaker 2: with From what I remember, but given all of the
- 20:35Speaker 2: bad blood that seemed like existed in the beginning, would
- 20:38Speaker 2: you want to come back?
- 20:40Speaker 12: Well?
- 20:40Speaker 1: You let Reggie? Why you let Steve Young? You let
- 20:44Speaker 1: herschel Walker. When the early eighties in the USFL was
- 20:49Speaker 1: created as a competitive of the NFL, those guys were
- 20:55Speaker 1: allowed to come back and pick up their careers and
- 20:59Speaker 1: some of them headed towards the Hall of Fame. Yeah, man,
- 21:03Speaker 1: so that's true. That's true. Wouldn't this be in the
- 21:06Speaker 1: same kind of vein?
- 21:08Speaker 2: I just I went over here because their gentlemen should
- 21:11Speaker 2: Should we just expect them to forgive and forget, to
- 21:15Speaker 2: turn the other cheek to let bygones be bygones.
- 21:18Speaker 1: It's a gentleman's game. Or would it be you were
- 21:21Speaker 1: willing to.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Being one of our perennial names, take your talents somewhere
- 21:28Speaker 2: else for more money, and didn't care about how we survived,
- 21:32Speaker 2: what our fortunes would be. And now that things didn't
- 21:35Speaker 2: work out over there, you want to come back.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Well, we see players leave teams and at some point
- 21:41Speaker 1: maybe go back to that team. I wanted to ask
- 21:43Speaker 1: the bad producer in the well.
- 21:45Speaker 2: I'm saying those are usually mutual situations, like you went
- 21:48Speaker 2: somewhere else and after a while we both decided maybe
- 21:51Speaker 2: it wasn't. You went somewhere else and they went out
- 21:53Speaker 2: of business. Now you want to go, hey, man, can
- 21:56Speaker 2: I have my job back? That's a little different, in
- 21:58Speaker 2: my opinion, different me trading you, you wanting to be
- 22:03Speaker 2: traded us separating for what.
- 22:05Speaker 1: I didn't want to be traded. You just traded me.
- 22:08Speaker 1: I wanted to stay here. You traded me to his team.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Anthony Davis got traded from the Lakers, right, So opportunity
- 22:15Speaker 1: for him to come back to the Lakers. He shouldn't
- 22:20Speaker 1: if he wanted to come back and mutual. But this
- 22:25Speaker 1: is like a gentleman come back with a one day
- 22:28Speaker 1: ten day contract. W NBA ladies have went out and
- 22:32Speaker 1: started unrivaled un I'm saying, where is it just for
- 22:38Speaker 1: you as a person. Maybe we're getting to deepen it,
- 22:43Speaker 1: Phil Milkson. He leaves with another league, tries to get
- 22:46Speaker 1: some other players. Did he break a contract? No, there's
- 22:50Speaker 1: no contract. There was no contract. I just went to
- 22:52Speaker 1: another league. Now that league is out of business. Would
- 22:56Speaker 1: you welcome him back? Bad producer? Yes, come on Greg, Yes,
- 23:01Speaker 1: Big Kenny No, Big Kenny wouldn't. I would, I can't.
- 23:08Speaker 1: I can't hold you went out to make money. Feels
- 23:10Speaker 1: demand too, he was demanding one time.
- 23:13Speaker 6: Well, speaking of earlier is they have it's called a
- 23:15Speaker 6: returning member program. Yes, and Brooks Koepka accepted. Work is
- 23:21Speaker 6: in that program. But Bryce and the Shambo John Rom
- 23:26Speaker 6: Cameron Smith who won majors recently in recent years, UH,
- 23:31Speaker 6: did not go into that program. So they can come back,
- 23:34Speaker 6: but they have it's only certain events they could play
- 23:37Speaker 6: in basically, and they had the forfeit any bonus money
- 23:41Speaker 6: they win or uh some kind of there's some kind
- 23:46Speaker 6: of exemption system for them to play in certain events.
- 23:48Speaker 6: So it's not particularly easy for them to come back
- 23:54Speaker 6: if they.
- 23:56Speaker 7: Uh and and and and the thing about it, and
- 23:59Speaker 7: the thing about it, phil Uh, this is gonna it'll
- 24:02Speaker 7: be great. They're gonna they're gonna open Field, will open
- 24:04Speaker 7: arms because he could be on the Champions Tour.
- 24:06Speaker 1: So you think these articles are wrong that they are
- 24:09Speaker 1: not gonna welcome Field back.
- 24:11Speaker 7: Now they're they're they're writing because this is a story
- 24:14Speaker 7: right now. It's been two weeks ago. It was like, oh,
- 24:16Speaker 7: they're about to shut down. Then all of a sudden, Uh,
- 24:20Speaker 7: they the Saudi Arabia said that they were gonna fund
- 24:23Speaker 7: through the rest of this year. Now there's been tournaments
- 24:26Speaker 7: coming up in June that's been canceled in New Orleans.
- 24:28Speaker 7: And then you got there's a Bryson uh de Chambo
- 24:32Speaker 7: asking for a five hundred million dollar contract when his
- 24:35Speaker 7: contract inspired because liv was given actual contracts where the
- 24:38Speaker 7: PGA you don't have a contract. So these things are
- 24:42Speaker 7: That's why I said that Phil will be able to
- 24:45Speaker 7: come back because he will help generate income on the
- 24:48Speaker 7: Champions Tour, which is the fifty and over, and he's
- 24:52Speaker 7: very well even you know his presidents out there along
- 24:55Speaker 7: Will uh Garner a lot more ticket sale real quick.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Letting him come back.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Will that also help to reinforce the idea that golf
- 25:06Speaker 2: is a dying sport and anything we can do to
- 25:09Speaker 2: keep it going. No, golf is not a dying sport.
- 25:11Speaker 2: Why do we need Phield Midilson the whole thing you
- 25:19Speaker 2: missing saying I might let.
- 25:21Speaker 14: My crew bang my crew deep in a wood, saying I'm.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Rolling with her. Know my crew name? You know too, Chase,
- 25:28Speaker 1: I'm pulling up and at roof way.
- 25:29Speaker 8: But John Bow, Wayne Board of the Sports Josh Shaw
- 25:35Speaker 8: with Wayne Gandyias coming up next.
- 25:38Speaker 9: As veterans, we're no strangers to helping others.
- 25:42Speaker 1: That's what we were taught service before self. But we
- 25:44Speaker 1: do have one question for the veterans listening. When is
- 25:48Speaker 1: the last time you reached out for help?
- 25:51Speaker 9: If you or someone you know needs resources, whether it's
- 25:55Speaker 9: for stress, finances, employment, or mental health, don't wait reach out.

- 27:24Speaker 16: Mm hmmm.
- 27:28Speaker 8: Mm hmm.
- 27:31Speaker 12: And twelve real one.
- 27:35Speaker 17: Twelve and.
- 27:40Speaker 1: One welcome back to this swe Shock show. I'm in
- 27:42Speaker 1: the sw Shock Wayne. Can do you the one thing?
- 27:44Speaker 1: Phil Micholson, we were talking about live golf going out
- 27:48Speaker 1: of business. A lot of golfers are now going to
- 27:51Speaker 1: find their way back to different leagues. We were addressing
- 27:54Speaker 1: Phil Michelson only interested when I think of the live
- 27:57Speaker 1: and everything. I remember that time where Tiger Woods and
- 28:00Speaker 1: gotten so big. There were suggestions of him starting his
- 28:05Speaker 1: on just like a live league. He didn't do it,
- 28:09Speaker 1: but there was a moment in his career where people
- 28:12Speaker 1: felt like only cameras wanted to see was Tiger Woods.
- 28:17Speaker 1: We see that with the power of for conferences. It's
- 28:20Speaker 1: a lot of speculation in college that these conferences and
- 28:25Speaker 1: all these concessions that television NCAA are making is as
- 28:31Speaker 1: much as we laugh and joke, leagues like the SEC
- 28:37Speaker 1: bolting away and just creating their own entity so you
- 28:43Speaker 1: might live long enough to see where it's just completely fractured,
- 28:48Speaker 1: and SEC basically just does SEC. They don't feed off
- 28:55Speaker 1: of bowls, they don't feed off of championships. The SEC
- 28:59Speaker 1: championship it becomes the super Bowl for the league. And
- 29:03Speaker 1: that's just how they exist. You're already up to close
- 29:08Speaker 1: to twenty teams in the SEC, so shuffle the cards.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Next thing you know, at about twenty four you start
- 29:16Speaker 1: getting to the same amount of teams as the NBA.
- 29:19Speaker 1: You're headed there and you just people in the NCAA
- 29:26Speaker 1: can't do anything about that. Well, the NCAA is is
- 29:30Speaker 1: just a governing body that colleges used. Sometimes the idea
- 29:36Speaker 1: of it people forget. They were kind of like an overseeing,
- 29:41Speaker 1: a neutral body. That's why I have always sit on
- 29:44Speaker 1: this show. They don't really go to investigat until someone called.
- 29:48Speaker 2: Hey man, they got play at that other team that
- 29:51Speaker 2: he got from another team and they covered their mouth
- 29:53Speaker 2: reading science.
- 29:54Speaker 1: What because that's kind of how they're not actually sending
- 29:57Speaker 1: investigators around.
- 29:59Speaker 2: But they go over to the school like, hey, somebody
- 30:01Speaker 2: said that y'all had somebody who was reading lips over here.
- 30:05Speaker 1: We don't have anybody doing that. Yeah, that's it all right,
- 30:10Speaker 1: thanks man. The one hundred and fifty second Kentucky Derby
- 30:15Speaker 1: was held this weekend. Golden was it spirit? Golden Spike
- 30:24Speaker 1: won the Derby? Uh on the right track. I don't
- 30:30Speaker 1: know is that it's it's the first ever female trainer
- 30:33Speaker 1: to win. So you remember that part. But that's when.
- 30:43Speaker 16: Horse.
- 30:43Speaker 1: That's all they talked about was she was the first.
- 30:46Speaker 1: You forgot the horse's name. Nobody knows Golden Tempo Okay
- 30:53Speaker 1: is the name of the horse that won the Kentucky.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Yes, sir, maybe this me caught in generational anxiety, but
- 31:05Speaker 2: we had this experience where what was the last really
- 31:07Speaker 2: big sporting event that used to be Was it the
- 31:11Speaker 2: Indianapolis five hundred or something like that, and it used
- 31:14Speaker 2: to be a really big thing. No, the Boston Marathon,
- 31:18Speaker 2: and we didn't even know that they were running it
- 31:20Speaker 2: on that day. The Kentucky Derby used to be an
- 31:23Speaker 2: entire day's worth of coverage.
- 31:25Speaker 1: We started this.
- 31:28Speaker 2: We used to talk about how they started in the
- 31:30Speaker 2: barn talking to these people, and they took up the
- 31:33Speaker 2: whole day on a major network and we were all
- 31:35Speaker 2: aware of the fact that not only was it running,
- 31:37Speaker 2: but which number it was and who won. That was
- 31:41Speaker 2: something they announced on the news, the national news regularly.
- 31:46Speaker 2: And now we're so saturated with sports that we get
- 31:51Speaker 2: to Monday not even knowing the name of a horse
- 31:55Speaker 2: that won.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Well, I don't know if it's saturated with sports as
- 31:58Speaker 1: much as technology allows you not to have to watch
- 32:02Speaker 1: the specific moment and just watch it at your convenience.
- 32:07Speaker 1: And a lot of people watch a lot of things
- 32:10Speaker 1: that way. That way, they don't watch week the week episodes.
- 32:17Speaker 1: They wait till the eight episodes are all done, and
- 32:20Speaker 1: then they watch it as one show. They don't follow
- 32:24Speaker 1: it the eight weeks of the show. They just don't
- 32:27Speaker 1: watch that until all the episodes are up, and then
- 32:30Speaker 1: they watch it just kind of like the Kentucky Derby.
- 32:35Speaker 1: Why wait till seven o'clock on our Saturday when I
- 32:39Speaker 1: can just watch it conveniently right where it happens. I
- 32:44Speaker 1: can start it right with the race. Somebody's gonna upload
- 32:48Speaker 1: just right when the gates open to the horse. I
- 32:51Speaker 1: don't have to watch the walking around. I just watch
- 32:57Speaker 1: the two minutes. And that's kind of how the audience
- 33:01Speaker 1: of sport works because something because those other people are
- 33:05Speaker 1: just purists, they're paid to be here. They got to
- 33:07Speaker 1: walk the horse around. This guy's got to feed the horse,
- 33:09Speaker 1: They got to clean up. I don't have to be
- 33:11Speaker 1: here for all of that. I could just show up
- 33:13Speaker 1: at race time and enjoy the race and be gone.
- 33:16Speaker 7: You had a question, sir, No, I was just wondering
- 33:19Speaker 7: when you were saying that everybody how they just pile
- 33:24Speaker 7: on that, and it just had me concerned with our
- 33:28Speaker 7: social I went back in that.
- 33:31Speaker 1: You sound like, after you leave today, you're done with
- 33:33Speaker 1: social media?
- 33:35Speaker 18: What what?
- 33:36Speaker 1: What was the basketball player anything? And that's kind wasn't
- 33:40Speaker 1: done like you said. It was just like people don't
- 33:45Speaker 1: She didn't want to wash the race anymore. They done
- 33:49Speaker 1: to be done? Basketball player? Oh no, the basketball player
- 33:53Speaker 1: that she was no longer sh No, she got baptized.
- 33:58Speaker 2: Was it liby done? Oh no, company, That's what I'm
- 34:02Speaker 2: talking about. And we were wondering what she's gonna do
- 34:04Speaker 2: any more.
- 34:05Speaker 1: Of those.
- 34:08Speaker 2: Salacious pin up type poses, and we haven't seen any
- 34:11Speaker 2: And he today sounded like he found some sort.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Of religion, like he's gonna leave here, he's about to
- 34:17Speaker 1: leave social media. Hey man, I'm gonna give you a
- 34:19Speaker 1: big hug when the show for taking the first step.
- 34:23Speaker 1: That's all you need I mean, you got a problem.
- 34:27Speaker 1: That's the first step I brought it up. Not because
- 34:31Speaker 1: of the first winter congratulations. I think her name was
- 34:34Speaker 1: Sherry Duvaux or the Voice or something like that, first
- 34:38Speaker 1: female trainer to ever win the Kentucky five. I mean
- 34:44Speaker 1: the Kentucky Derby. But Mike along the week as I
- 34:49Speaker 1: caught a couple of articles about it, I was wondering
- 34:52Speaker 1: why women haven't taken over horse racing. Edwin Maldonado is
- 35:04Speaker 1: a jockey who was in his first Kentucky Derby race.
- 35:08Speaker 1: I can't tell you which horse, but this weekend he
- 35:10Speaker 1: was on his first first race. He had been struggling
- 35:15Speaker 1: to be on championship horse races because of his height
- 35:21Speaker 1: at five seven. They typically like a jockey between the
- 35:28Speaker 1: height of five two to five five and a weight
- 35:34Speaker 1: of one ten to one fifteen. And when you put
- 35:38Speaker 1: those numbers up, you start thinking girls, women, of why
- 35:46Speaker 1: in a natural, more natural selection, a bigger pool of
- 35:52Speaker 1: women are going to land at five four one fifteen.
- 35:59Speaker 1: I don't have to scour the world sent out a
- 36:04Speaker 1: big mass invitation to hey, guys, guys, UH would stunted growth.
- 36:12Speaker 1: If you want to be a jockey instead of.
- 36:14Speaker 2: Just hey, what what maybe when you think women have
- 36:16Speaker 2: not well, maybe of a I mean they do equestrian
- 36:22Speaker 2: Women are equestrian.
- 36:23Speaker 10: They do.
- 36:24Speaker 7: They are in the the sporting world of horse racing.
- 36:29Speaker 7: And but you know, like you said, that's that's sort
- 36:32Speaker 7: of strange that they're not on the part of it.
- 36:35Speaker 7: Where's the racing side?
- 36:38Speaker 2: Is that something like we talked about the n c
- 36:40Speaker 2: a A being a governing body, is the horse racing
- 36:45Speaker 2: governing body? Could they come up with a program where
- 36:48Speaker 2: they would do an outreach and let's try and get
- 36:52Speaker 2: the number of female jockeys up.
- 36:54Speaker 1: Well, no, I'm saying as individual owners, these are your employees.
- 36:59Speaker 1: Jesus is your head. You're the GM, you're the owner,
- 37:02Speaker 1: and we're looking for a head coach. I would constitute
- 37:05Speaker 1: the jockey being the head coach. I wonder why we
- 37:10Speaker 1: haven't seen more infusion. I mean, I'm quite sure there's
- 37:13Speaker 1: a couple out there and we just haven't noticed. I'm
- 37:15Speaker 1: not in the world of horse racing like that, but
- 37:19Speaker 1: it seems that maybe two out of a group of
- 37:24Speaker 1: racers maybe women. When you watch a race where you
- 37:31Speaker 1: would imagine it for this kind of stature that you're
- 37:33Speaker 1: looking for at least half.
- 37:37Speaker 2: Would be do you think do you we we talk
- 37:40Speaker 2: about sports being trapped in there, especially something where women
- 37:43Speaker 2: love the ride horses. They love to ride horses. As
- 37:46Speaker 2: he said, they're very well established in the equestrian steeple.
- 37:51Speaker 6: Change from from the quick research that I found, it's
- 37:56Speaker 6: a it is a it's a cultural thing. While why
- 37:58Speaker 6: it's still dominated I men at this point, and this
- 38:03Speaker 6: article is cited that men have more lean muscle mass
- 38:08Speaker 6: with the with the weight, and women with higher average
- 38:13Speaker 6: body fat face additional challenges without that could compromise their health.
- 38:20Speaker 1: Well, compromising your health with the men. I've seen different
- 38:25Speaker 1: yeah a sixty minute episodes and stuff where these men
- 38:30Speaker 1: are throwing up. They're starving themselves just to be at
- 38:35Speaker 1: that certain weight. Now, I remember one jockey eight a
- 38:38Speaker 1: half a peanut to maintain weight. And that's why I
- 38:43Speaker 1: use the word more natch. Is easier for me to
- 38:46Speaker 1: walk up to the mall right now and find a
- 38:48Speaker 1: woman or women that are between the height of five
- 38:52Speaker 1: to two and five to five and way one fifteen
- 38:56Speaker 1: at the same time, I can put you on a
- 38:57Speaker 1: weight program easier than I can get a man and
- 39:00Speaker 1: to continue.
- 39:00Speaker 6: To throw up at the same time, they're saying, like,
- 39:03Speaker 6: these factors really aren't significant enough to tell the difference
- 39:07Speaker 6: in performance.
- 39:09Speaker 7: So as anybody kind of getscause anybody did a drive
- 39:13Speaker 7: run and that's what it's stuck in.
- 39:16Speaker 1: The stuck in. The model that we've always rolled out
- 39:20Speaker 1: is the one that we call.
- 39:21Speaker 2: Them all and stuff like, because it's all.
- 39:29Speaker 1: I'm just saying. The first they operate is old and stuff.
- 39:34Speaker 1: Yeah you had like you young and new. Oh God, alright, silence,
- 39:44Speaker 1: We'll be back. You have got that way, get you.

- 42:10Speaker 1: This war suck. Wayne Candy Good morning till you're out
- 42:13Speaker 1: there and listening. Lane Silo Sanders, a brother of Shador Sanders,
- 42:23Speaker 1: in the media last week having some issues with a
- 42:30Speaker 1: reporter that we have had on the Sportshok Show several times,
- 42:35Speaker 1: especially in our early years when we consistently tried to
- 42:42Speaker 1: provide reporters from different cities at different times to give
- 42:48Speaker 1: us updates. Mary K. Cabot was one of the first
- 42:53Speaker 1: delights that we had. She would always be welcoming and
- 42:57Speaker 1: meet the demand of coming on. And it's so funny
- 43:01Speaker 1: to see someone like a Shiloh Sanders having what we
- 43:07Speaker 1: would necessarily in our world called beef, going as far
- 43:12Speaker 1: as telling Mary Kay Cabot to go make a sandwich
- 43:20Speaker 1: from her comments about her brother or excuse me, his
- 43:25Speaker 1: brother Shadoor Mary Kay giving a report felt like and
- 43:33Speaker 1: feels like. The Cleveland Browns are going to kick off
- 43:39Speaker 1: this season most likely start with DeShawn Watson. Yes, that
- 43:46Speaker 1: Deshaun Watson. I know you're trying to figure out how
- 43:49Speaker 1: I thought that she Watson retired. No, DeShawn Watson was
- 43:53Speaker 1: on a guaranteed contract for five years with the Cleveland Browns.
- 44:03Speaker 1: He's been through three of those years. He still has
- 44:06Speaker 1: two left and we're gonna get something nobody has tried
- 44:10Speaker 1: to trade for him. He's been in a little injured,
- 44:13Speaker 1: he's had some bad performance all that. Mary Kay feels
- 44:20Speaker 1: like that's where the Browns should start instituting Deshaun Watson
- 44:27Speaker 1: as QB one from hearing those comments, Shiloh Sanders telling
- 44:34Speaker 1: Mary Kay, you should have your opinion, but if you
- 44:38Speaker 1: don't know the facts, go make a sandwich. I don't
- 44:43Speaker 1: know if that's what that means in cold Maybe you
- 44:46Speaker 1: guys will bring me up to what that means later
- 44:48Speaker 1: after the show. But bad producer. You're the one who,
- 44:52Speaker 1: when we first started reaching out to Mary Kay, brought
- 44:55Speaker 1: her on. And we do know that you see yourself
- 45:02Speaker 1: as Shiloh and Chadur's godfather. Yeah, sandor shit, So where
- 45:09Speaker 1: are you in this? To start off, I thought it
- 45:13Speaker 1: was pretty funny that he totally go make a sandwich.
- 45:17Speaker 7: But my thing is, it's funny how the Cleveland media
- 45:24Speaker 7: and Mary Kay because we did have her on when
- 45:26Speaker 7: Deshaun for a couple of years ago, when all that
- 45:28Speaker 7: went down, we were still everybody was all against Dashaun
- 45:32Speaker 7: and Dashaun and now I was just wondering since he
- 45:36Speaker 7: just got married, and did DeShawn just get re get
- 45:42Speaker 7: baptized again or something, But now he's the man in
- 45:46Speaker 7: Cleveland again, they QB one just start off. Let's go
- 45:49Speaker 7: ahead and go with him without even a chance to
- 45:52Speaker 7: see who can go, or let's get a quarterback battle
- 45:58Speaker 7: or anything like that. Let's just go no one and
- 46:01Speaker 7: sign off the media, not only Mary Kay, but other
- 46:03Speaker 7: media from planes dealers in Cleveland, they're all signing off.
- 46:07Speaker 1: Oh, DeShawn is the guy now. So I just thought
- 46:11Speaker 1: it was funny. That's what part was funny, because I
- 46:14Speaker 1: want to know your beef between your godsons and Mary Kay.
- 46:17Speaker 20: Oh.
- 46:17Speaker 7: I don't have no beef with Mary Kay. I thought
- 46:19Speaker 7: it was funny that how Deshaun Watson was.
- 46:25Speaker 1: I'm not talking about Deshaun Watson. We keep talking about
- 46:27Speaker 1: Deshaun Watson. I'm talking about going off on Mary Kay. Yeah,
- 46:32Speaker 1: because they picked him all of a sudden, he's QB one.
- 46:36Speaker 1: Why did he get offended? I would?
- 46:39Speaker 7: I mean, you're not even giving the man a chance
- 46:41Speaker 7: to get a chance to get the job, and you're
- 46:42Speaker 7: already saying everybody media is already said, oh yeah, Deshaun
- 46:46Speaker 7: Watson should be the starting quarterback. So it seems like
- 46:48Speaker 7: it's just throwing more stuff at Sharlote, I mean Shador.
- 46:52Speaker 7: So it's it's no big deal. He'll be all right,
- 46:56Speaker 7: just go in and just do your job. But you're
- 47:00Speaker 7: going to have all that the talking in the background.
- 47:03Speaker 1: Now, big Kenny, command you Greg here, I'm gonna talk
- 47:07Speaker 1: to you a second here. Mary Kay does media job
- 47:11Speaker 1: right from reading the articles. She wasn't in this in
- 47:16Speaker 1: a way of a Stephen A. Smith as an authority.
- 47:19Speaker 1: She was giving her opinion of how she felt they
- 47:23Speaker 1: want to handle this if it were me, if it
- 47:28Speaker 1: was me kind of thing. Oh I thought she was.
- 47:31Speaker 6: She was uh citing like from watching practices, watching sources
- 47:37Speaker 6: from sources, sources for reporters means that mean, yeah, speak
- 47:45Speaker 6: the language we are in the media.
- 47:46Speaker 1: It means me when he's saying they he's telling about
- 47:49Speaker 1: him when most people are saying so.
- 47:54Speaker 13: She was.
- 47:54Speaker 6: She was there at a practice at least correct. So
- 48:00Speaker 6: she's going off what she has seen. This isn't like
- 48:04Speaker 6: made up.
- 48:06Speaker 1: No, Yeah, she's more of a day to day reporter.
- 48:08Speaker 1: She's a beating right, She's a beat writer. She's not
- 48:13Speaker 1: a columnist. Right, So she's going off with what she
- 48:18Speaker 1: has seen. This is it's hard some help. I said,
- 48:27Speaker 1: I did this, I did this last year, and I'm
- 48:30Speaker 1: just trying as we go to break get you to
- 48:32Speaker 1: understand something. We're losing an organization. I'm trying to get
- 48:39Speaker 1: this young man she'll do and this is why people
- 48:41Speaker 1: didn't want to draft him, because everything I do with
- 48:44Speaker 1: this young man, y'all have already decided I can't do
- 48:50Speaker 1: except what you say. I told you last year. Start
- 48:54Speaker 1: with flyahole, go to Dylan Gabriel and then end up
- 48:58Speaker 1: on your door. Don't do it to reverse, don't start
- 49:04Speaker 1: sh door and then go backwards. When she doer gets
- 49:08Speaker 1: on the field, the first two dominoes need already be
- 49:11Speaker 1: dropped off. I got a quarterback that I guarantee the
- 49:16Speaker 1: contract too, that I've already paid one hundred and fifty million,
- 49:18Speaker 1: two that I haven't got a dime's worth, and hurt.
- 49:23Speaker 1: I still owe him. I still owe him ninety million
- 49:29Speaker 1: dollars ninety I need to see if he can do
- 49:37Speaker 1: this or not right off the bat. If I don't,
- 49:46Speaker 1: what I do is I put your door under the hammer.
- 49:51Speaker 1: Because all we're going to write after the two losses
- 49:57Speaker 1: is should they go with Deshaun Sean Watson. That's all
- 50:02Speaker 1: he's gonna be sitting there doing the whole time. Give
- 50:05Speaker 1: them what they asked for. That way they can see.
- 50:07Speaker 1: They don't know. When he took the field after Dylan
- 50:10Speaker 1: Gabriel fail, he took the field with a freedom that
- 50:15Speaker 1: they ain't nobody over there to replace me. Who's gonna
- 50:17Speaker 1: have to do this when I throw an interception? I
- 50:20Speaker 1: don't have to do this. I just my bad.
- 50:22Speaker 6: They traded flat though they tried dealing Gabriel. I remember
- 50:28Speaker 6: who else they brought it, Snoop Huntley.
- 50:30Speaker 1: So now let us go to the guy that we
- 50:35Speaker 1: owe ninety more million. Knowledgies, We're gonna put him on
- 50:39Speaker 1: the field even if.
- 50:41Speaker 2: He ain't healthy enough to play, If he kind of healthy,
- 50:44Speaker 2: I owe you ninety more million more already you millions boy,
- 50:51Speaker 2: Get on the field. Shut up, Shador.
- 50:55Speaker 1: Too much, flow.
- 50:56Speaker 21: Scene too much saying bront it just Austin.
- 51:04Speaker 1: And I ain't even want to be famous.
- 51:07Speaker 16: Don't go away?

- 52:29Speaker 21: the Double Low Flash, Friends with the Window Crack Tag
- 52:32Speaker 21: Money the Welcome Back to the show.
- 52:35Speaker 1: I'm in the sports shock Wayne can't even have talking
- 52:37Speaker 1: about our girl Mary Kay Cabby. She's a reporter out
- 52:41Speaker 1: of Cleveland. In the fifteen years we've been here, we've
- 52:45Speaker 1: known of her out of Cleveland being a reporter giving
- 52:48Speaker 1: her opinion on a situation at quarterback, which jess for me.
- 52:55Speaker 1: As I read the article. It stems to the situation
- 53:01Speaker 1: certain personalities that.
- 53:06Speaker 16: Just floor me.
- 53:07Speaker 1: How people can be blind when they like something they
- 53:14Speaker 1: don't really care about any other the particulars they can
- 53:22Speaker 1: exercise and rid any negativity, any kind of fall off
- 53:30Speaker 1: to institute their guys. Most of you know someone. I
- 53:37Speaker 1: have one right here in a blue hoodie that he
- 53:41Speaker 1: is the I would actually run T shirts if I
- 53:46Speaker 1: can come up with a slogan because he is the
- 53:49Speaker 1: true face of that group of people. People that are
- 53:56Speaker 1: blinded deeply to the root of bias to who they like.
- 54:09Speaker 1: Some of them think that means that they are fans.
- 54:12Speaker 1: I used to encounter it with people in college who
- 54:17Speaker 1: felt like I shouldn't be friends with guys that played
- 54:20Speaker 1: at Alabama and being the Alabama people, we laugh that
- 54:26Speaker 1: only y'all are out there feeling that way. Only you
- 54:35Speaker 1: you in the Auburn hat and you in the Tuscaloosive
- 54:39Speaker 1: Alabama t shirt. Y'all got to be me and Antonio
- 54:44Speaker 1: Langdon went to Denter last night at Good too. Ain't
- 54:48Speaker 1: hearing you? He ain't good. We ain't good. He paid,
- 54:52Speaker 1: it was delicious. He told me to try to. He
- 54:55Speaker 1: told me tried to Tomahawk, I said, the restaurant, how
- 54:59Speaker 1: dare you?
- 55:00Speaker 14: Oh?
- 55:00Speaker 1: Oh oh sorry, y'all got beef? Man, I hate you man,
- 55:03Speaker 1: I can't believe you.
- 55:04Speaker 2: But me the Tomahawks steak hold on Rick flaff let
- 55:10Speaker 2: us not be seen going into the waffle house together.
- 55:13Speaker 1: Baby. So the Ververiduc exemplifies that for me, and that's
- 55:16Speaker 1: why we always have to keep a seat because he
- 55:19Speaker 1: is that guy there. Things see things, any They're gonna
- 55:24Speaker 1: make anything there. There is no way for Shaudur Sander.
- 55:32Speaker 1: In their mind. It's the organization. It's the head coach,
- 55:39Speaker 1: it's the quarterback coach. It's the old line, it's the receivers.
- 55:46Speaker 1: It's the weather, it's the team color. It's the hotel
- 55:50Speaker 1: that the team stays at on the road towards his father.
- 55:57Speaker 1: It's everything other than should your Sanders or whoever they
- 56:01Speaker 1: have in that place he's needing to be. He deserves
- 56:08Speaker 1: everything perfect, he deserves perfect conditions. And see this, and
- 56:14Speaker 1: this is why, and this is why I went back
- 56:16Speaker 1: to the draft when I was when we were talking,
- 56:18Speaker 1: I was like, this is where a lot of teams
- 56:21Speaker 1: are trying to get themselves keeping keep their organization from
- 56:28Speaker 1: having to be under that mallet all the time, that
- 56:33Speaker 1: I have to explain everything all the time, all the time.
- 56:40Speaker 1: And twit bad producer. That ballad is heavy well bad producer.
- 56:44Speaker 1: The web Mirriam Webster Dictionary has a word cognitive dissonance.
- 56:49Speaker 1: It's the psychological conflict resulting from incongruous beliefs and attitudes
- 56:55Speaker 1: held simultaneously. So that's frustrating when you know this is
- 57:00Speaker 1: a business, and you know this business.
- 57:03Speaker 2: Only values results, winning, and then you get somebody that
- 57:08Speaker 2: ain't doing that and they afire a coach mid season,
- 57:11Speaker 2: and you go, well, well, they ain't been holding up
- 57:13Speaker 2: with the tradition.
- 57:14Speaker 1: This a business.
- 57:15Speaker 2: And then comes along your heart throb and they firing
- 57:18Speaker 2: because they ain't holding a They into the bargain and
- 57:21Speaker 2: now there's a problem, and they just being unfair. And
- 57:25Speaker 2: those are two beliefs that you believe at the same
- 57:28Speaker 2: time about the same thing. But they don't match, and
- 57:31Speaker 2: that's a conflicted spirit. Your vibe is unbalanced. You you
- 57:36Speaker 2: would understand when Deshaun Watson left Texas, everybody was on
- 57:41Speaker 2: some oh man, all of that that stuff was settled.
- 57:44Speaker 2: This is personal, and they were on his side until
- 57:47Speaker 2: they fell in love with Shadur the Johnny come Lately,
- 57:51Speaker 2: and now everybody love him more. Deshawn's still here in
- 57:55Speaker 2: this business. It's a business that's all cleaning sea.
- 57:59Speaker 1: I wager a fortune thinking that DeShawn Watson was the
- 58:06Speaker 1: man that was gonna lead us somewhere, and I sing
- 58:11Speaker 1: that the thing that I try to protect, what should door.
- 58:16Speaker 1: I always want Shador to get in the game with
- 58:20Speaker 1: the comfort that he can make whatever mistakes without fear. Yes,
- 58:27Speaker 1: a lot of you don't know the game to the
- 58:30Speaker 1: point of knowing when players you can recognize. I don't
- 58:33Speaker 1: ever want him to be on the field worrying about
- 58:40Speaker 1: making mistakes. So I would rather Deshon go do whatever
- 58:46Speaker 1: Deshawn's gonna do. I don't know where to cut Dashawn
- 58:49Speaker 1: is in his career. Last time I saw him play,
- 58:52Speaker 1: look like he didn't want to play. If they had
- 58:56Speaker 1: a way to cut him. They would have cut him,
- 58:59Speaker 1: but just he just got him on that contract. But
- 59:06Speaker 1: if he's gonna be around, I would rather start him,
- 59:10Speaker 1: let him not be the man. I think, go with
- 59:15Speaker 1: Shador because then I can put him in his place, like,
- 59:19Speaker 1: hey man, you're just gonna be the backup the rest
- 59:21Speaker 1: of our year. Actually, by the trade deadline, we'll see
- 59:24Speaker 1: if some of these teams that got a quarterback hurt.
- 59:27Speaker 1: It's really upfront with him. We're really we're gonna give
- 59:30Speaker 1: you four games and you're either gonna be taking us somewhere.
- 59:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna put shrder out here with these young receivers
- 59:36Speaker 1: I just drafted and see, and we're just gonna go
- 59:39Speaker 1: on into the but I need to see. I really
- 59:44Speaker 1: need you to get some tape because I'm really still
- 59:46Speaker 1: trying to trace you. I just want to be on
- 59:47Speaker 1: this upfront, ma'am. If it's four games, how many of
- 59:52Speaker 1: them do they have to win? If you give them
- 59:56Speaker 1: four games? Well, I'm saying you, w are you to pass?
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: If I had to pass in your hand and you
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: dropped it, win or lose, I'm actually trying to trade
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: you either way. So even if it's four and oh,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: I'm hoping you're playing. Might hold on to you three
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: and one. We'll think about it two and two. I
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: just know when I put out here, I want your
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: door to feel like he could do whatever he needs
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: to do. That it is his team is no longer
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: to show. I don't want him to be under this
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: media frenzy that after each quarter, after each half game,
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: the first question when he doesn't succeed is, are y'all
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: gonna go with the Shawn next? Yeah? Yeah, y'all gonna
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: care he has to definitively play. I don't want him.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: I don't want him to be under that. I want
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: him to just be the dude that gets to either
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: crash this ship or not. I mean, they won't be
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: in that trade. Was it in New York where they would.
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: They pull him for a half and like the last
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: half of this game in the first half of the
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: next game, then some wouldn't go right there and they
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: throw it me.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: I don't want him to have one of those quarterback
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: career yet. That's why I like what happened last year
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: in his rookie year. I like that when he went
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: out there, he's our guy, at least to the end.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: Of this season, we won't be pulling in and throwing
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: him back in, so we'll be back more to Sports
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: Shock Show right after this quick break.
- 1:01:39Speaker 16: May get out, don't go away.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: Bore of the Sports John Show with Wayne Gamsey is
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: coming up next. Remember always be generous with the net

- 1:02:35Speaker 3: Broadcasting live and Atlanta to your jazz. This this is
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: a sports ship.
- 1:02:41Speaker 16: We're wigan.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: You comes comes along.
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: Its just.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: I'm gonna do. Yeah, I'm gonna welcome back to the
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: Sport Shock Show. I'm the Sport Shock Wayne Candy. Good
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: morning to you on this beautiful Monday command you, Greg
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: Bad producer, Big Kennedy, the funny man himself. We talked
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: about one hundred and fifty second Kentucky Derby Golden Tempo
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: winning that we talked about Shiloh Sanders and the issue
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: up there not even in the league, and got it.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: It's just a lot now now you're not even in
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: the league, and got some kind of war wage because
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: somebody but he had a issue or really just made
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: a statement against your brother. But he got the coach
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: to respond.
- 1:03:47Speaker 7: Someone asked to coach to Todd Monakey, he said, well,
- 1:03:50Speaker 7: you know, guys on social media, they got their rightness
- 1:03:52Speaker 7: their social media to say whatever and really quick.
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: And I'm like, and really quick question and really quick.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: That's what the sports jock tried to tell everyone before
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: the twenty twenty five draft, wasn't it when Shaduur failed
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: so far is he's the kind of polarizing figure that
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: people who ain't got a damn thing to do with
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: the sport.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: Can comment on.
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: And the next thing, you know, that comment I'm having
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: to ask her for in my press conference at the
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: team facility. Shalloh never made it to this level and
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: he's making comments about somebody who just covers the game.
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: And now the head coach of the team gotta talk
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: about this why because of who should door Sanders' daddy is.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: It ain't got nothing to do with Shador having been
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: a Heisman Trophy winner or a championship caliber quarterback or
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: getting deep into the playoffs or no, none of that.
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: It's his social currency and that has people stop. I
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: want to say, tell you sports you do. Look up
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: the works, Mary Kay, look up the works.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: Stop, don't go. I'm still talking. It means I'm still talking.
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: It means that this is why nobody wanted Shadre because
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: he's a distraction without evidence. Now, if he had came
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: to Cleveland and did what you said he was capable
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: of doing, all of this would make sense. But right
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: now we're wasting valuable time and resource in Cleveland because
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: of his lineage.
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: And that's why.
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: But your cognitive distances dissonance won't let you accept to
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: our good like you said, our good friend Mary Kay Cavin,
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: who've been on the show. She's got a great she's
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: been with the team since nineteen eighty eight. Not discrediting
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: nothing that she writes or have said, because she's always
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: been on point, so I just wanted to put that up.
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: She uh, Plus, she was the Hall of Fame winner
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: last year the Build Non Awards, so she.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: Is her job.
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: But you still support what Shallow said. Now I ain't saying,
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: but you still thought it was funny. I thought it
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: was funny, and I thought that, you know it's to
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: be we're gonna see who. Did you think it was sexist?
- 1:06:20Speaker 7: Yeah, to tell her to go make a sandwich, because
- 1:06:22Speaker 7: she is like, that's why I said that. She has
- 1:06:25Speaker 7: been in the trenches since nineteen eighty eight. She seeks
- 1:06:27Speaker 7: actually saw you. Okay, So you thought that was sexist
- 1:06:29Speaker 7: and you still thought it was funny.
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: It was. So next time she says to him, go
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: drink some great.
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: Kool aid, I'm gonna laugh, okay, because okay, are you
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: gonna come in here, I'm gonna tell him for her.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell him to get knee high.
- 1:06:43Speaker 7: No, never tell her to get canceled, Okay, because I
- 1:06:45Speaker 7: tell her, I might tell him, tell him go get
- 1:06:47Speaker 7: some great cool made with some watermelon.
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: I wish we could call her right now. He finds
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: that very from I wish we could call it right now.
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: I do too, I wish we could get great. I
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: would love to have miss Mary Kay on the talk
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: to you got a number, Yeah, you got a number?
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: Put on speaker, Put on speaker, because I'm just saying
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: you still sitting over there trying to act like you
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: don't understand why people don't want your door in their
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: locker room.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: And this is the very reason, this is the very
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: reason this woman doing that. Brothers he can't control Bucky
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: or Shalloh or his sister.
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: Patrick Mahomes brother up in the stands throwing beer on people,
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: and they don't be talking by him.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: They no more because they put on him. They put
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: a vice on the ice. Well maybe well that that
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: comes from Detroit moving on after winning Game seven yesterday
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: over Orlando, Orlando a little collapse, you have to believe
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: that up three to one in the series, Kate Cummingham
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: and the guys decided to turn into the team that
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: they led the East and winning that series. Cleveland doing
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: enough to win Game seven as well yesterday over Troan Tow.
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: I think people felt like that was going to be
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: definitely a little easier for them to take out toron toe,
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: but Toronto's showing a lot of heart, so that series
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: is over and now those two teams meet in the
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: next round. The Knicks are going to meet the seventy
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: six ers, who beat Boston in a Game seven on Saturday.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: Joelo beebe coming back strong in the last couple of
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: games for the seventy sixty tyres Maxie playing strong as well.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: No Jason Tatum in that Game seven, so you imagined
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: that the seventy six ers was going to take advantage
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: of that. And when you look at the game seven's Toronto,
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: they is missing bringing Brandon ingram Uh and Orlando was
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: missing one of their top players as well, Bogner. So
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: that's one of those things when I was talking about
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: maybe these series need to be the best of five
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: because best seven start making it a lot to do
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: with health. And it's the first round and we're talking
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: about the league that keeps talking about they want to
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: cut some kind of games, Well, how about starting five
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: back to the original. They're probably making too much money.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: I felt like both I believe. I believe the first
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: and the second round to give more ability to lesser
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: teams to win, the first two rounds should be best
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: of five. The conference final and the final should be
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: best of seven.
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: And in an effort, you say it money if you
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: think about it making with extra well, I'm saying with
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: those two extra games, I eliminate them. Now I develop
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: a urgency to buy my tickets, and I can charge
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: a little bit more for the ticket because you only
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: got five chances to see that.
- 1:10:10Speaker 6: That's that's what it was when it was the best
- 1:10:14Speaker 6: of five. But now after seeing.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: Teams that.
- 1:10:21Speaker 6: Lost the higher seed lost in lost three to one
- 1:10:25Speaker 6: or something like that, it's to it's to give them
- 1:10:28Speaker 6: a chance. But there's also like more games, that's more revenue.
- 1:10:32Speaker 6: I don't I'm just saying I understand what you are saying.
- 1:10:35Speaker 6: I just don't see them going back on that. How
- 1:10:37Speaker 6: about won't they look at like that, like you're.
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: Saying, but if you're considering shortening the season, then you're
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: going back on it right anyway?
- 1:10:45Speaker 2: Anyway, I mean, you're trying to keep the premium part
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: the same, but you're going to change on the amount
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: of games like regular season.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: I don't see them going back on that either.
- 1:10:57Speaker 6: Well, think about some of these organizations like that, Jason
- 1:11:00Speaker 6: tam point, but I don't think it's gonna happen.
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: Had Boston Advance had Jason Tatum been able to play,
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: they may have advanced. If they have advanced and he
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: didn't able to play because they he got injured in
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: game six of the first round. A lot of teams,
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: a lot of players are going to stop wanting to
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: spend all of their physical currency in the first round.
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: I mean, this dude would have been good for five games,
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: then three games into the next five game series.
- 1:11:28Speaker 6: But you got him this far where he played like
- 1:11:32Speaker 6: less than twenty games. So I think with that particular team,
- 1:11:37Speaker 6: it didn't.
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: But best of five makes more intrigue and it allows
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: you to inflate the ticket anyway. That's what I was saying.
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: You can inflate the ticket anyway. I ain't got there.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: I'm making it more rare. You existed a long time
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: on first and especially in the first round, because it
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: gives those people in that eighth and seven seed, six
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: seed hope, and people pay for more hope. All we
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: got to do is win three then, and then you think,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: because I just have to win three, and it's the
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: longest I want to I want the best.
- 1:12:20Speaker 6: And just to I think part of why it went
- 1:12:23Speaker 6: to when it first went to seven games, part of
- 1:12:26Speaker 6: it I thought is okay, they want to give the
- 1:12:29Speaker 6: the the team that doesn't have home court advantage two
- 1:12:33Speaker 6: games instead of just one. So it's trying to make
- 1:12:37Speaker 6: it fair, like, oh, well, at least they'll get they'll
- 1:12:40Speaker 6: get two home games, and if they get swept, well
- 1:12:44Speaker 6: they still got the two games.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: Do you remember when?
- 1:12:47Speaker 6: But if best of five, if they get swept, they're
- 1:12:49Speaker 6: only getting one at one time.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: It's not fair. The NBA was up, Yeah, you got
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: to create. Not fair. You got to create the fourth well,
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: the first round, so you do get two home games.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: You just got to create it. Got to create it.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: You gotta win one of the first We don't want
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: to have to earn it, right see, but the first round.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: But I'm telling you what it leads.
- 1:13:10Speaker 14: Here.
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: Here is the deal as we go to break for
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: just for me as a sportsman, when you tell me
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: the series is going as long, I stopped watching one
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: or two games anyway, because it is long. Now it's
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: like baseball. You can get the idea of why people
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: are saying people don't watch baseball consistently enough because I
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: just watched the next game. It's one hundred and sixty
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: two of them. Right. Thing, when you start after one
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: or two. Oh, it's gotta go six now. Then I
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: can skip you said you're having a party. I can
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: skip game five because the the story is only going
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: to be in game another game, so I don't don't
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: have to sit there and be so triggered that this
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: is it lack of excitement and I need to have
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: a little more feeling that it can be one. It's
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: still a pivotal game five. I thought it was.
- 1:14:14Speaker 6: If it's two too before we not really because there's
- 1:14:19Speaker 6: another game. Yeah, but but there's but the stakes are
- 1:14:24Speaker 6: still raised.
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: That's for people that watch social media. Social that's just math. No,
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: that's just the social media because math, Okay, someone's gonna
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: go up three to two in the Naked. But there's
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: another game. There's still another game. But it's that you
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: have the advantage when you have the third win. There's
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: a difference. There's a difference between this being your last
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: day here and you knowing you're gonna live tomorrow. If
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: this is it at midnight tonight, you're gonna make some
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: mad decisions today. It's different than you knowing you at
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: least be here to tomorrow you woke up. Different. If
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: I feel more at ease if I know I'm gonna
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: be here the day after that. That's what I'm saying.
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: I feel more ease of missing today and doing nothing.
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: I wanted to know what it was like to climb
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: a mountain, but I ain't gonna do that today. I'll
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: see what it's like in the morning. It used to
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: be more Sports Shock Show right after.
- 1:15:26Speaker 8: This, Don't Go awayne Boord of The Sports Josh Show
- 1:15:40Speaker 8: with Wayne Gandia is coming up next.

- 1:15:48Speaker 1: to say was, hey, you got this. Just breathe. We're
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: pretty good. Yeah, you want have to start a band?

- 1:18:07Speaker 1: one time Defensive Player of the Year. James Harrison the

- 1:18:30Speaker 1: maybe the best men's player on the planet, twenty three

- 1:19:56Speaker 1: is thirty seven, the matriarch of the Jackson household, Catherine
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: Jackson ninety six and Jackie Jackson. It's seventy five.
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: You live long enough, it'll happen, so somebody gonna have
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: the same birthday as your mama and the family.
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: The Jackson movie out a lot of reviews. Some people
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: just upset that the director of the producers went with
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: the angle of really just dealing with Mike's career as Mike,
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: not so much of the other stuff in nobody's life.
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: They kind of just dealt with the Michael and his family.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: They didn't really go in any of the avenues that
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: took you down any parts of anybody being arrested, or
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: anybody allegations or any of that of any of them.
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: They didn't tell you about Jermaine taking Randy girlfriend and
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: becoming uncle dad, uncle step dad. The movie was called Michael,
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: not Jermaine Uncle step Dad. That could have been in
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: you know, if they remade the mini series, possibly, but
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: I like i've has anyone have y'all seen I've not
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: seen it yet. I've seen it. Have you seen Sports Shock? Yes?
- 1:21:26Speaker 6: Impossible to tell his entire life story in two hours.
- 1:21:31Speaker 6: That's why there's going to be a part two. Apparently
- 1:21:35Speaker 6: there's a lot of things that were filmed that weren't
- 1:21:38Speaker 6: in this, and they had to change a lot of
- 1:21:40Speaker 6: things because of they could not legally mention anything that
- 1:21:45Speaker 6: people probably wanted expected to see. As far as any
- 1:21:48Speaker 6: of the allegations. They couldn't do anything with that with
- 1:21:52Speaker 6: the Diana ross Uh angle of it for legal reasons,
- 1:21:57Speaker 6: So they had to kind of change what the whole
- 1:22:01Speaker 6: tone of the movie was actually.
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: Going to be. But you let me know when you
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: come on. The thing that I have always you guys
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: send me a story. Typically the first thing when I'm
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: address you about the story, I asked you what ankle?
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: You're upset of the angle I took. There's nothing wrong
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: with the movie, you're just mad I took the angle
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: of sticking on this part of it. The greatest pop
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: star for ever on just that part of the musical genius.
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: First of all, that's enough to bind a movie. Michael
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: Jackson has to be three movies. They have to be
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: three two and a half hour movies to create the world.
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: There's a couple of people that you can go through time.
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: The dude up there in the White House right now.
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: It has to be three individual movies about present than Trump.
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: You can't put some people they live that big in
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: that diverse, not just in length. So it wasn't the
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: length of Michael Jackson's life as it was. Really the
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: first movie is the Jackson five to Jackson five. The
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: movie should have stopped when he decided to get off
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: the wall. It should have stopped right there, because that's
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: a whole nother movie. You introduced Bubbles ten years before
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: Bubbles came into Michael's life. Yeah, they were early on.
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: That's a whole nother movie. That's that's but that's Michael
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: Jackson the Singularity.
- 1:23:41Speaker 2: The thing they had to do though, and Michael Jackson,
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: who had broken away, established himself and was the last
- 1:23:48Speaker 2: third of the movie, had to be reshot for legal reasons.
- 1:23:52Speaker 6: So what they made the story is is the uh
- 1:23:57Speaker 6: is Michael breaking away from his from his father, like
- 1:24:03Speaker 6: standing up to him finally. That's why that moment where
- 1:24:05Speaker 6: he ends the victory tour is the climax of the film,
- 1:24:10Speaker 6: and that's what they made the movie.
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: Overall, there's Michael Part one, the family, Michael Part two,
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: the Conflict, then Michael Part three Bad that dude, Like
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: it's going to be hard.
- 1:24:29Speaker 6: It was going to be hard to get it, to
- 1:24:31Speaker 6: get it right, or to get it like to where
- 1:24:34Speaker 6: we feel there's a complete story. It was close to impossible.
- 1:24:40Speaker 6: Like there was a there's a Prince documentary that the
- 1:24:43Speaker 6: guy who made the OJ in America is making. He's
- 1:24:45Speaker 6: making a documentary about Prince. It's nine hours long and
- 1:24:49Speaker 6: it may never come out because the estate wants they
- 1:24:54Speaker 6: wanted things to be reshot or we don't want you
- 1:24:56Speaker 6: to tell this story. But the reason why it's nine
- 1:24:58Speaker 6: hours long is because everything is important. That that's kind
- 1:25:04Speaker 6: of what it would take with Michael Jackson is to
- 1:25:07Speaker 6: you know, three two and a half hour movies to
- 1:25:09Speaker 6: tell a complete story. So it's not a complete story.
- 1:25:12Speaker 6: But wanted to start. You just wanted me to start
- 1:25:16Speaker 6: in the nineties. You didn't want me to ever show
- 1:25:21Speaker 6: because of what you feel about Michael Jackson. You did
- 1:25:25Speaker 6: never want me to show the genius. You just wanted
- 1:25:31Speaker 6: me to show you the man who was going to
- 1:25:33Speaker 6: court and I'm just telling you that's what people want.
- 1:25:36Speaker 6: People want to say. I'm just telling you how humans work.
- 1:25:40Speaker 6: We only want to see negativity. We don't clap for
- 1:25:47Speaker 6: people as much as we condemn people. So you just
- 1:25:51Speaker 6: wanted to see the end. Everybody's just waiting to see
- 1:25:55Speaker 6: when Lebron can't dunk.
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: He's hoping this boy, this right here, is hoping he's
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: stay along to see him. I'm hoping he leaves before
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: you could ever talk about his game fell off. He
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: really is cheering the media. It's hoping he stays along
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: to be like Muhammad Ali. Do you remember we can't
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: defend himself. We gotta go to break. Is that not correct? Yeah? Okay,
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: Corissa Thompson Clockland can none of y'all member me back?
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: Can't hand me rappers right? Can Gee Rapper?
- 1:26:35Speaker 17: It's problem?
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: Jong Ho raps great.
- 1:26:37Speaker 8: Dead John Boy, Wayne Board of the Sports John Hill
- 1:26:43Speaker 8: with Wayne Gamsidias coming up next.
- 1:26:45Speaker 14: I'm a pretty great multitasker. I can wash dishes and
- 1:26:49Speaker 14: do laundry. I can roller skate while walking my dogs.
- 1:26:53Speaker 14: I can even order lunch while doing my homework. But
- 1:26:56Speaker 14: I can't use my phone while driving. A distracted drivers
- 1:27:00Speaker 14: one of the leading causes of death in the United States.
- 1:27:03Speaker 14: So when it comes to driving, please don't be a multitasker.
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: Don't drive distracted.
- 1:27:07Speaker 23: A message brought to you by the National Highway Traffic
- 1:27:10Speaker 23: Safety Administration, Project yellow Light and the AD Council.
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: All right, son, time to put out this campfire. God,
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: we learned about this in school. Oh did you now? Okay?
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: What's first? Smokey Bear said, too, First, drown it with
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: the bucket of water, then stir it with a shovel. Wow,
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: you sound just like him. Then he said, if it's
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: still warm, then do it again. Where can I learn
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: all this?
- 1:27:35Speaker 13: It's all on smokeybear dot Com with other wildfire prevention
- 1:27:38Speaker 13: tips because only you can prevent wildfires.
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: Brought to you by the USDA for Service, your state Forester,
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: and the AD Council. And now back to the sports
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: John Wayne.
- 1:27:50Speaker 17: Gandy Player's lounge. You have been given full access to
- 1:27:58Speaker 17: the player's lounge on the spot. It's Jack Show with
- 1:28:01Speaker 17: Wayne Gandy really coming.
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: That's strange from everywhere.
- 1:28:09Speaker 16: I'm addicted to the yess a d.
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: Can't be skimming Nichols down cut up problem coming? Now?
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: The only thing the sun? What makes this woy shock show.
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: I'm this woy shock Wayne Candy canning, we bad, but
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: just we got any hits online real quick. Want to
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: address our audience today. It's beautiful Monday, Yes, sports job.
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: Our loyal online listeners have been coming since the start
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: of the first hour. When we were talking about social
- 1:28:43Speaker 2: currency versus clout. Uh, Walter Echo said, Amen, we need resolution.
- 1:28:49Speaker 14: Uh.
- 1:28:50Speaker 2: We had Elder Casey say a double minded man is
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: unstable in all his ways.
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: That's Bible.
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: Uncle Charlie doesn't feel like he said, Lord at her
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: Mercy sports jock. You telling me it's okay to have
- 1:29:02Speaker 2: dinner with a buck Eye ton bout Ohio State buck
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: Eyes And that's a lot of bs. Ain't no way, bro.
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: So where you try and advocate for togetherness? My Uncle
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: Charlie saying, no, it's us against them. And when it
- 1:29:17Speaker 2: comes to Shadeur and Deshaun Watson, Elder Casey figures, Pa,
- 1:29:24Speaker 2: get off the pot. It's time for Deshan to do
- 1:29:27Speaker 2: something and then we can move forward with a degree
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: of certainty concerning Shadu.
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: Uncle Casey, I mean Uncle Charlie. Three days ago, I
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: got a call from a great friend of mine he
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: was with the executive of the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame.
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: They were in the car.
- 1:29:46Speaker 5: He was.
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: Informing the director of the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: that it's time to induct me into the Alabama Sports
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: Hall of Fame. The gentleman that was doing that went
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: to Alabama, not Auburn, Alabama. So yeah, if a guy
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: from Alabama can buy me a think that's a fan thing.
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: When you compete against people, there's a brotherhood that's joined
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: against with them as well. There's a there's a collective,
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: there's a there's a there's an idea of competition that
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: is bred through that. So I didn't get this call
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: from Auburn brotherren So sure, I'll go have dinner, lunch, breakfast.
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: That's something y'all fans sit there and have decided the
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: Gambino sender to the Castellino funeral. It's just it's a
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: matter of respect. Rick Fox, former you n C basketball player,
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: great laker as well. Everybody needs a Rick Fox type player.
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: I'm always telling people that every NBA team, Rick Fox
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: was the pretty version of a what's the kid for
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: Golden State? Raymond Draymond Green? Pretty boy Rick Fox? What
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: they call him pretty pretty, but he would elbow his
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: name is old Rich or something like that. He's just
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: going with Rick, Yeah, Rick, oh, Rick, Okay, just going
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: with It's always sounded like a movie name anyway anyway,
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: but it's catching two X is on there, like Jamie Fox.
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: But you know, it's the same thing with Rick. But
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: Rick was that guy who he might he might step
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: on your chest. The role to have success. The thing
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: I like about certain players like a Rick or even
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: like a Draymond, you just find that little niche and
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: do your best. Inate. He was that kind of play Now.
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: You know, I'm not saying he was at the level
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: of Draymond, but I'm saying that's the kind of player
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: he was on a team, that utility guy. But he
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: was an altercation down in Bahamas running for office, running
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: for office down there. I don't know if is he
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: running for president of the.
- 1:32:29Speaker 2: Bahamas or is just some kind of council I think
- 1:32:33Speaker 2: it's a counselor, like a councilman something like.
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: And what kind of and what kind of altercation was this?
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: I think it had something to do with either Rick
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: was pitching a physical tent in an area or someone
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: had the area that rick had gotten to set up
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: his area. Somebody put a tent up. I think it
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: was stimulated from that. But Ricky is Bohemian mean excuse me.
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: So that's why for some because I was that was
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: going to be my next question.
- 1:33:08Speaker 2: We've seen uh here politically so many people uh in
- 1:33:12Speaker 2: an uproar about districts. And there was a Georgia politician
- 1:33:16Speaker 2: running for state, running for the Senate, the national Senate,
- 1:33:25Speaker 2: and they got disqualified because they lived at a different
- 1:33:28Speaker 2: address the year before.
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: So I was wondering, how does he go out of
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: the country and run for office but from by birth?
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: Then there you go. John Wall is now the president
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: of operations at Howard University. I think that John Wall
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: should get some T shirts.
- 1:33:52Speaker 5: Uh.
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: He literally embodies what I have been saying since I've
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: had a mic, since I've been a leader in the
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: locker room, since I ever felt like I had some
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: advice to hand to players after me of where please
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: don't let society, your family, your upbringing lock you into
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: the mindset that all you're ever going to want to
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: do is be who kill them. John Wall was the
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: poster child of this is all I'm gonna ever want
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: to do video games, fruit loops, th dice in the
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: front of the church. He always like, and I'm always
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: telling guys, man, one day you're gonna wake up about
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: forty and however your life is shuffled. There's some things
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: that you are gonna may want to do different and
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: it may not have anything to deal with it has
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: nothing to do with ye. I know it seems like
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: you're gonna we're all gonna be that rocker. We're gonna
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: live the Lenny Kravitz. Oh yeah, that we're never going
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: to lift weights in it. But most of you are
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: going to end up want to be coaches, GMS, administrator's president,
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: front off of office. And every tattoo that LaMelo Ball
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: keep adding on is one he has he has to
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: cover up and explain a way when he gets to
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: that point. But right now, at twenty five, twenty six,
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: he sees himself that way. But at forty six when
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: you want to lead, and now you see that that
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: doesn't resonate leadership. Now you spend all your time conscious
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: of man always wear shirts is like watching an older
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: actor transform into turtlenecks. But they got that turkey neck bottle, yes,
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: so now they do all these scenes. Then they don't
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: know they got a beat scene in a turtleneck like
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: I didn't even know they ask in the.
- 1:36:17Speaker 2: Middle of the desert, sand in the middle of the desert,
- 1:36:21Speaker 2: and the ascot and a three piece suit like his
- 1:36:24Speaker 2: hottest I'll get it.
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: John actually shows what I be telling guys. Man, that
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: just seems for now he's the because the opportunity. Like
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: if you had met Aaron Glenn, the head coach of
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: the JTS ch chet Chet who got drafted with me,
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: you different. Glenn used to pay intentionally to wear his
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: uniform different. He would pay forty fifty sixty thousand dollars
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: a year, intentionally because he was gonna cut the pants.
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: No one depends on post bill you need. But he
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: had a look of how he wanted to look. He
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: had this little and when I see him as the
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: head coach, you're never going to know because you haven't
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: reached that phase and those jobs haven't been offered to
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: you yet.
- 1:37:14Speaker 2: You hadn't had those conversations with somebody said, man, you
- 1:37:16Speaker 2: know they was talking about making you coach, but the administrators.
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: I know if I sat down with Prime and Prime
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: could go back in time he'd have got his degree.
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: He hadn't pictured one day it would have gotten it.
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: Then he would have got it back when he first left.
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: If you had told him one day, you're gonna have
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: two talented sons, and if you had already had that degree,
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: he could have been the head coach. He didn't have
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: to be the offense coordinator. He could have been the
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: head coach when they were in high school. But you
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: have to you have to have a degree be the
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: head coach on a high school football team. The assistance
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: might be able to have some other but if the
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: head coach has to have a college degree, you've already
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: had that package. He might have never went to Jackson's.
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: He might have. He might have literally got the Florida
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: State job right off the bat, right off the bat.
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: He might he might not have had to travel that role,
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: but he had to.
- 1:38:17Speaker 6: He he didn't have been intering to see him like
- 1:38:20Speaker 6: I mean, he's in a way, he's still kind of skipping.
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: And I'm just saying that with John Wall because he
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: had been selling this whole. Now I'm about to be
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: this guy. And now to believe you had a prestigious
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: HPCU and someone that offered you to be the head. No,
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: I'm telling him where this Mike send him for five
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: years now, he might be the A D for Kentucky
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: and you'd be sitting there not wall. He's doing the
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: LB doing that. And I'm so happy to see TV.
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: He's actually pretty good, very knowledgeable, I'm so happy to say.
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: And I see guys that did different things have to
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: spend a lot of time trying to knock off the
- 1:39:01Speaker 1: image in which you've already established with.
- 1:39:04Speaker 2: And that's the rub right there is you said, he's
- 1:39:07Speaker 2: actually very knowledgeable, Like there would be any question about
- 1:39:11Speaker 2: a guy who is as good as he was playing
- 1:39:13Speaker 2: basketball knowledge about basketball antics, his antics, No, their ability
- 1:39:20Speaker 2: to transfer and translate that communicate that knowledge may be hindered.
- 1:39:26Speaker 2: But the knowledge that they have, they're experts at their
- 1:39:30Speaker 2: chosen professions.
- 1:39:32Speaker 1: And that's what I'm saying.
- 1:39:33Speaker 2: His antics would make you go, this dude speaks well,
- 1:39:36Speaker 2: which are we surprised that it's It's still also like,
- 1:39:41Speaker 2: is it fair to hold him to like he was
- 1:39:44Speaker 2: nineteen doing.
- 1:39:45Speaker 1: Oo kill him? No, he was twenty seven, twenty eight,
- 1:39:48Speaker 1: he was still doing that. He was still.
- 1:39:51Speaker 6: I have watched the Wizards in a very long time.
- 1:39:54Speaker 6: So I remember when at age nineteen, but now this
- 1:39:57Speaker 6: is this is part of my discussion movie.
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: I would hold to that. No, no, yeah, you're a
- 1:40:04Speaker 1: profession You're held to everything you've ever done. The thief
- 1:40:07Speaker 1: that stole your watch. When you bumping back into him
- 1:40:10Speaker 1: and want to rebuild your friendship, you remember that you
- 1:40:14Speaker 1: still stole your watch. It's gonna take work, and you
- 1:40:20Speaker 1: ain't gonna leave him around no jewelry. You're gonna you're
- 1:40:22Speaker 1: gonna start off at the wrong he did, and then
- 1:40:27Speaker 1: you're gonna work your way through that. But you don't.
- 1:40:30Speaker 1: That's just how it is. And when I see Stephen Jackson,
- 1:40:33Speaker 1: Stephen Jackson has a wealth of knowledge, but my first
- 1:40:37Speaker 1: I think of smoking weed and the gun and guns
- 1:40:40Speaker 1: and the same name with Matt Barnes, I see slapping
- 1:40:43Speaker 1: Derek Fisher, and trust me as someone. On about the
- 1:40:46Speaker 1: fourth sentence, I get around to man, Matt sure know
- 1:40:49Speaker 1: what he's talking about, but first I have to go
- 1:40:51Speaker 1: through and I bet he slapped and real hard that night.
- 1:40:54Speaker 2: I've had many USM alumni reach out for me to
- 1:40:59Speaker 2: host and UH do events for them for their fiftieth
- 1:41:03Speaker 2: and milestone birthdays and we always got to talk about
- 1:41:06Speaker 2: board back in school. You was a trip and yeah, man,
- 1:41:11Speaker 2: that was a different time and now we're different now.
- 1:41:13Speaker 2: I'm they always want to remind me remember that, and
- 1:41:16Speaker 2: I am.
- 1:41:16Speaker 1: Happy to see John Wall find his voice and be
- 1:41:21Speaker 1: able to pass that knowledge off to someone else. But
- 1:41:24Speaker 1: don't they proud? Ain't gonna go when they seem we'll
- 1:41:29Speaker 1: be back. More to Sports Jock Show, got up to do?
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: Bring through the ghetto without riding around hode and.
- 1:41:35Speaker 21: Down dump and strange from frustrated you stuck in their
- 1:41:38Speaker 21: way to spread a magazine after my day?
- 1:41:41Speaker 1: How you treat music that does but nothing relate?
- 1:41:43Speaker 8: So don't go Awayne Born of the Sports John Show
- 1:41:47Speaker 8: with Wayne Gambidius Coming.
- 1:41:49Speaker 20: Up next, Brad Guzanne on a Land United. We know
- 1:41:56Speaker 20: everyone has a ritual, a habit we never skip to
- 1:41:59Speaker 20: clear our minds and elevate our performance.
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: But what do you do to keep your head in
- 1:42:04Speaker 1: the game?
- 1:42:04Speaker 20: Because being your best isn't just about taking care of

- 1:42:10Speaker 20: mental health. Discover the resources you need to keep your

- 1:42:21Speaker 1: Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, and the ad Council. And
- 1:42:26Speaker 1: now back to the sports John Wayne.
- 1:42:28Speaker 19: Gandy's lock an so you can see a sports joint.
- 1:42:53Speaker 1: I'll say, even very joy what rest is shock show?
- 1:43:00Speaker 1: I'm the wort Shock Wing Gandi. Good morning to you
- 1:43:04Speaker 1: out there and listening laying someone. Bow says she's staying
- 1:43:10Speaker 1: home because the cost of being a celebrity is a
- 1:43:14Speaker 1: little too high for her constitutions. At the last big
- 1:43:19Speaker 1: event she went to cous they're about twenty three grand
- 1:43:23Speaker 1: as far as hair and makeup and things like that
- 1:43:28Speaker 1: security to even just attend a night. And I'm quite
- 1:43:33Speaker 1: sure the way she made her money, you could see
- 1:43:37Speaker 1: in the way that she the hard work, being the
- 1:43:39Speaker 1: greatest in her sport, and the kind of whether she
- 1:43:43Speaker 1: has or not, she sees the money like man, that
- 1:43:46Speaker 1: wasn't worth. All I got to do is you know,
- 1:43:51Speaker 1: it's not even It was three minutes we took up pictures.
- 1:43:53Speaker 1: Next thing, I was bored and I said let's call it.
- 1:43:57Speaker 2: And then I got home and the next day I
- 1:43:59Speaker 2: was doing in them online payments and I looked at
- 1:44:02Speaker 2: like I spent twenty three thousand dollars to go to
- 1:44:05Speaker 2: a dinner for three minutes.
- 1:44:07Speaker 1: I don't even eat boiled fish. I hated that.
- 1:44:12Speaker 2: And yeah, it's and that's one of the things I
- 1:44:14Speaker 2: was saying about, that social equity. When you are a
- 1:44:17Speaker 2: person that is famous, you can't decide when you're famous.
- 1:44:21Speaker 2: You just live in that space all the time. So
- 1:44:24Speaker 2: security is an expense that I have to invest in
- 1:44:28Speaker 2: because I just want to go get a Hamburger. But
- 1:44:30Speaker 2: when I get there thirty five people want a crowd
- 1:44:33Speaker 2: around me, and I'm gonna need somebody to help out.
- 1:44:35Speaker 1: So bad produce there. If someone on your mind, you
- 1:44:37Speaker 1: want you keep looking at your notebook. What is it
- 1:44:39Speaker 1: you want to revisit that you've been trying to get
- 1:44:41Speaker 1: me to.
- 1:44:42Speaker 14: No, we're not.
- 1:44:43Speaker 1: It's something you've been wanting to tell me though. No,
- 1:44:45Speaker 1: we were good. I mean, I'm good.
- 1:44:47Speaker 7: We we It's just what we was talking to playoffs, Okay,
- 1:44:50Speaker 7: when he bought when he bought up and said it
- 1:44:52Speaker 7: up the best of five of whatever. I just remember
- 1:44:55Speaker 7: what I was talking about. I remember when it was
- 1:44:57Speaker 7: a best, when it was a three, when the first
- 1:45:00Speaker 7: round was.
- 1:45:00Speaker 1: A three, when gas was remember but cookies was a pitch.
- 1:45:05Speaker 7: I remember gas from note that seventh sence on Riverdale Road. So,
- 1:45:09Speaker 7: but what all I was saying was the changes. They made,
- 1:45:14Speaker 7: some changes through the years and when they would I'm
- 1:45:17Speaker 7: looking at the play in why they just want let's
- 1:45:20Speaker 7: if you want to do some instead of doing the
- 1:45:21Speaker 7: play and do the best of three in that first
- 1:45:23Speaker 7: round and do the twelve teams.
- 1:45:25Speaker 6: And they're trying to they're trying to stop tanking. That's
- 1:45:29Speaker 6: why they had the play in. Well, I'm saying that
- 1:45:31Speaker 6: will that will that can also won't just that can't help.
- 1:45:36Speaker 6: That can help with the play in.
- 1:45:37Speaker 7: You put them in the playoffs with the three best
- 1:45:39Speaker 7: of three, two out of three, and you just won
- 1:45:42Speaker 7: through twelve or first two seeds or buyers, and then
- 1:45:47Speaker 7: three through twelve they play, and then you go from there.
- 1:45:50Speaker 7: Then you eliminate you ever, you ever, you ever be
- 1:45:53Speaker 7: watching these games and get to the playoff part of it,
- 1:45:58Speaker 7: the Champion Chips series part of it, and think to yourself.
- 1:46:02Speaker 2: They got way too many teams in this. Everybody can't
- 1:46:04Speaker 2: beat this good. Everybody can't be have a winning season
- 1:46:07Speaker 2: like that. When I watched the college football player, if
- 1:46:12Speaker 2: we got to watch the play in.
- 1:46:14Speaker 7: Just go ahead and eliminate this the five game what
- 1:46:17Speaker 7: he was saying the seven game series. Eliminate the seven
- 1:46:21Speaker 7: go to the best of five, or I don't want
- 1:46:24Speaker 7: more games. I don't want to add an extra round.
- 1:46:26Speaker 7: I'm trying to take out. Well, I'm saying, eliminate the
- 1:46:30Speaker 7: play in and just do that. All I'm saying. I'm
- 1:46:32Speaker 7: trying to eliminate the play.
- 1:46:33Speaker 1: Eliminate the play in, and just go one through eight.
- 1:46:37Speaker 7: But still we need to shorten the rounds though, the
- 1:46:40Speaker 7: first round. That's all I'm trying to show a way to.
- 1:46:43Speaker 6: So that's well about and the first round best of five,
- 1:46:47Speaker 6: best of five.
- 1:46:48Speaker 1: We don't need We don't need nine ten.
- 1:46:50Speaker 2: The reason we're twelve seeds and the reason we're talking
- 1:46:53Speaker 2: about shortening it from seven. They want seven because they
- 1:46:58Speaker 2: make a lot more money. They're not going to give
- 1:47:01Speaker 2: up four games.
- 1:47:03Speaker 23: But what.
- 1:47:05Speaker 1: You go ahead and add what I'm saying, and that
- 1:47:07Speaker 1: play in, No, I will dad to play into to
- 1:47:12Speaker 1: curb the tanking. And it's only kind of well here
- 1:47:16Speaker 1: here's what, Well, let's go back to the original formula.
- 1:47:19Speaker 1: We go one through eight, we make the first round
- 1:47:22Speaker 1: to give eight and seven and six a better chance
- 1:47:24Speaker 1: of maybe pulling off a similar Reiler story. We go
- 1:47:27Speaker 1: to a best of five, there is no play in
- 1:47:30Speaker 1: and if you don't make the playoff, we all get
- 1:47:32Speaker 1: the same amount of balls for the lottery. But now
- 1:47:41Speaker 1: they've added another wrinkle for that, so teams won't but
- 1:47:45Speaker 1: we all got the same amount of balls. Well, I'm saying,
- 1:47:48Speaker 1: what's what's been taking Tanking doesn't get you anything. That's
- 1:47:52Speaker 1: what I'm saying.
- 1:47:52Speaker 6: Like, what's being suggested now is if you're in the
- 1:47:55Speaker 6: bottom three, you actually get a little bit less of
- 1:47:59Speaker 6: a chance then if you were like the fourth worst.
- 1:48:04Speaker 6: So it's it is they're trying to even and even
- 1:48:07Speaker 6: it out more but still trying to discourage. Sixteen teams
- 1:48:12Speaker 6: make the playoffs. Fourteen don't. Everybody gets one ball. I
- 1:48:18Speaker 6: don't care what your record is. That's how they did
- 1:48:20Speaker 6: it first. I don't care what your record is. Everybody
- 1:48:23Speaker 6: gets the same. So it then that eliminates tanking. If
- 1:48:28Speaker 6: all of us are going to get one ball at
- 1:48:30Speaker 6: the end, it doesn't matter what our record is. We
- 1:48:34Speaker 6: even made the playoffs, so we didn't, right, Yeah, just
- 1:48:36Speaker 6: might get the playoffs going.
- 1:48:37Speaker 1: Is that not right? It doesn't matter. It doesn't just
- 1:48:39Speaker 1: get the playoffs. You coming in last, don't get you
- 1:48:42Speaker 1: ten balls playing. You just get one ball that would
- 1:48:48Speaker 1: get rid of tanking. And someone's going to say that
- 1:48:53Speaker 1: that's not fair, like nothing while we can't.
- 1:48:56Speaker 6: That's someone who's that they won forty games and got
- 1:48:58Speaker 6: the number one pick. We won twelve games and now
- 1:49:02Speaker 6: we're picking six. We used to accept that life and
- 1:49:05Speaker 6: sports ain't fair. Somebody got to win, somebody gotta lose.
- 1:49:11Speaker 1: Grand Prix happening down in Miami. A lot of stars
- 1:49:15Speaker 1: came out. The biggest thing that stood out for me
- 1:49:19Speaker 1: was they had some interesting hot dogs. Guys. They had
- 1:49:25Speaker 1: the one hundred dollars the Golden Glizzy, the one hundred
- 1:49:29Speaker 1: and twenty five dollars Gold Digger, and the one hundred
- 1:49:34Speaker 1: and fifty dollars Food God hot dogs for you just
- 1:49:42Speaker 1: out there. Was made with wagu beef. And the difference
- 1:49:46Speaker 1: is some of them came with caviaar crim Fresh and
- 1:49:52Speaker 1: actual gold flakes, pedible gold.
- 1:49:58Speaker 7: Now now I'm just thinking about I'm just thinking about
- 1:50:01Speaker 7: the cost, and you think about the Promena tees and
- 1:50:05Speaker 7: all it for three dollars, and then you talking about
- 1:50:07Speaker 7: a hot dog.
- 1:50:10Speaker 2: My god, I read things like this and they say
- 1:50:14Speaker 2: made with waggle beef. And how many people's palate is
- 1:50:17Speaker 2: so sophisticated that they actually know wagle beef when they
- 1:50:20Speaker 2: taste taste very few, very few, very few. Now, So
- 1:50:24Speaker 2: you could have you could have an oscar By Waiter
- 1:50:27Speaker 2: in this bun. It could be a three dollars hot dog.
- 1:50:29Speaker 2: You done sold me for one hundred and twenty five dollars,
- 1:50:32Speaker 2: and I'd still buy it because I feel like what
- 1:50:35Speaker 2: you tell me this is beluga caviar.
- 1:50:37Speaker 1: But how do I know? Look? Have I ever had caviar?
- 1:50:39Speaker 14: Well?
- 1:50:40Speaker 6: Well, look look for osker Meyer Wiener came from the
- 1:50:45Speaker 6: Crystal Lake waters of Newfoundland.
- 1:50:49Speaker 2: And I want you to put a blindfold on and
- 1:50:52Speaker 2: taste them both, and you tell me which one is
- 1:50:54Speaker 2: the finish hot dog and which one is what?
- 1:50:56Speaker 1: Well, if you be you buy a ten dollars a
- 1:50:58Speaker 1: cup of coffee, so I do not. Well, it's not
- 1:51:03Speaker 1: the coffee business booming.
- 1:51:04Speaker 2: And you know, you say people are willing, I'm saying
- 1:51:07Speaker 2: people people are willing to about ten dollars coffee. Surely
- 1:51:09Speaker 2: there about a hundred dollars hot dollar. We'll go ahead
- 1:51:12Speaker 2: back to doing fifteen years ago. I ain't know what
- 1:51:15Speaker 2: gooda cheese. I heard him talking about putting it on
- 1:51:17Speaker 2: the cheeseburger, just graving over it.
- 1:51:19Speaker 1: But because it wasn't on social media. Yeah, and so
- 1:51:22Speaker 1: if it was on social media, you would have heard
- 1:51:24Speaker 1: of it. You came in talking about but grizzy. I
- 1:51:27Speaker 1: want the chailler. I'm staying with the chiller. But the
- 1:51:29Speaker 1: gooda now I'll go with the Google because he turned
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: me off. I'm just saying I was. I was raised
- 1:51:35Speaker 1: in civilization, so I knew what gooda was by the
- 1:51:38Speaker 1: time I was. He get off social media. We'll be
- 1:51:44Speaker 1: back right after this.
- 1:51:46Speaker 21: So since Snoop came to a trust to feeling, Tom
- 1:51:49Speaker 21: trying to store the kieling, keep killing more money.
- 1:51:53Speaker 8: More, don't go Awayne Born of the Sports, John Shire
- 1:51:58Speaker 8: with Wayne Gamvidias.
- 1:52:00Speaker 16: Be up masked.
- 1:52:05Speaker 1: When I smoke, we I get lost in the music.
- 1:52:08Speaker 10: I'd like to isolate each instrument, the rhythmic babe, the
- 1:52:13Speaker 10: harmonies on the piano with sticky melody.
- 1:52:19Speaker 14: Than he careful, babe.
- 1:52:21Speaker 15: There's someone crossing the streets.
- 1:52:23Speaker 1: Sorry, I dossume it. If you feel different, you drive different.
- 1:52:28Speaker 1: Don't drive high. It's dangerous and illegal everywhere unless it's
- 1:52:32Speaker 1: from NITZA and the ad Council. And now back to
- 1:52:36Speaker 1: the sports John Wayne Gandy.
- 1:52:41Speaker 17: It's time put a school board when we put a
- 1:52:44Speaker 17: spin on life and sports and how they intermingle.
- 1:52:48Speaker 16: On the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:53:02Speaker 1: Spending. Welcome back to the Sports Shock Shot. I'm the
- 1:53:10Speaker 1: sports shock wing can here. No charges will be uh
- 1:53:14Speaker 1: held against DK Metcalf for that altercation last year he
- 1:53:17Speaker 1: grabbed a fan. I don't know if that means he
- 1:53:19Speaker 1: settled out a case or the powers that be felt like, Uh,
- 1:53:24Speaker 1: the n f L and their two game suspension was enough, Like,
- 1:53:32Speaker 1: come on, man, all he did would break that duke man.
- 1:53:38Speaker 1: Come on, he got suspended two games without pay, which
- 1:53:43Speaker 1: for DK came up to be about a half a
- 1:53:45Speaker 1: million dollars. That was a that was an expensive grab,
- 1:53:48Speaker 1: Big Kenny, And I'm sure if he was in court
- 1:53:51Speaker 1: he looked at the Judd like, come on, sir, come on,
- 1:53:54Speaker 1: half a million dollars. I let him grab me back. Uh.
- 1:53:57Speaker 1: The Orlando Magic has let their code to go after
- 1:54:00Speaker 1: that failure of them. They were up three to one
- 1:54:02Speaker 1: against Detroit. They have released coach Moseley at the end
- 1:54:08Speaker 1: of the season. That's just come found. How the ball
- 1:54:11Speaker 1: bounce right there for Jamahi? How he say his name
- 1:54:17Speaker 1: j A m A h jama. Oh that's a l okay, Yeah,
- 1:54:22Speaker 1: okay Jamal Moseley. It was finny with I was watching
- 1:54:26Speaker 1: Game six and Magic are up twenty two with the
- 1:54:30Speaker 1: half and I in a in a group chat as
- 1:54:35Speaker 1: like if they because if Orlando won, they would have
- 1:54:38Speaker 1: won the series. Like does he does Mosley save his job?
- 1:54:41Speaker 6: And then like yeah, I think he saves his job
- 1:54:44Speaker 6: And then by the end of the third quarter like no,
- 1:54:45Speaker 6: he back in the hot seat down.
- 1:54:50Speaker 1: China is releasing their robot army over eight hundred excuse me,
- 1:54:56Speaker 1: eight five hundred AI robots they or unleashing to handle
- 1:55:02Speaker 1: maintenance in their country. Now, big king some AI. I
- 1:55:08Speaker 1: guess that's the rever you know the movies are coming true.
- 1:55:11Speaker 2: Uh And and this is the total total total the
- 1:55:15Speaker 2: robots are coming to recall and this is this is
- 1:55:19Speaker 2: what you have to understand. If we are rolling out
- 1:55:22Speaker 2: eight hundred robots, eighty five hundred robots to handle maintenance
- 1:55:28Speaker 2: in our country, that means that they've been designed, tested
- 1:55:33Speaker 2: and programmed to handle those functions. So road work street signs,
- 1:55:42Speaker 2: a traffic control, all of those things that used to
- 1:55:46Speaker 2: require a human has been eliminated. So think you just
- 1:55:50Speaker 2: gonna run through a work zone doing twenty five when
- 1:55:54Speaker 2: they say twenty miles an hour. Don't think you ain't
- 1:55:57Speaker 2: gonna get a ticket. They're recording, That's what I'm saying.
- 1:55:59Speaker 2: More is gonna come with it than the loss of
- 1:56:01Speaker 2: your job. If you are maintaining something and they got
- 1:56:05Speaker 2: to come out and fix your water meter, don't think
- 1:56:09Speaker 2: that they won't calibrate how much water you using, and
- 1:56:11Speaker 2: the you don't have a pressure tank on you. All
- 1:56:14Speaker 2: of that stuff is going to come into play now.
- 1:56:16Speaker 1: Leveon Bell accuses ex head coach coach Adam Gase of
- 1:56:22Speaker 1: using cocaines. He called him using cocaine before a practice
- 1:56:26Speaker 1: back in his time with the Jets. When you see
- 1:56:28Speaker 1: this with Leveon, is this just a tension?
- 1:56:32Speaker 22: Yeah?
- 1:56:32Speaker 1: Yeah? Is he just saying these things because remember he's
- 1:56:35Speaker 1: gone from football to wrapping to boxing. Is this just
- 1:56:40Speaker 1: some kind and I'm not. I can't get into the
- 1:56:43Speaker 1: did coach Gase? How we were not there? I don't
- 1:56:46Speaker 1: know whether they love hate each other, but it kind
- 1:56:50Speaker 1: of rings why now based on the platform he was
- 1:56:54Speaker 1: on yes, this is about yeah, because he even may
- 1:57:00Speaker 1: mention no, no, no future.
- 1:57:05Speaker 2: It's got his baby mama now and all that. If
- 1:57:07Speaker 2: we sitting here he was talking crazy. If we sitting
- 1:57:11Speaker 2: in church and we just having a conversation between me
- 1:57:15Speaker 2: and you and you bring up another person's drug use unsolicited,
- 1:57:22Speaker 2: you're doing that to garner some sort of favoritism from me.
- 1:57:28Speaker 2: You think that's going to make me value you or
- 1:57:30Speaker 2: your ability to bring information. But how does that play
- 1:57:34Speaker 2: into what's going on in your life right now? I
- 1:57:37Speaker 2: saw Big Kenny do cocaine back in two thy fourteen.
- 1:57:41Speaker 2: If somebody would have saw him do cocaine last night's story.
- 1:57:45Speaker 2: Can't get it out because you bringing up your two
- 1:57:48Speaker 2: thy fourteen story.
- 1:57:50Speaker 1: But I want my social currency, and that's all I'm saying.
- 1:57:52Speaker 1: I forgotten. That's all to make sure before we go, Silo,
- 1:57:58Speaker 1: wet your hand right, and I can't is it an
- 1:58:08Speaker 1: S or a C. No, he got the S and
- 1:58:10Speaker 1: that I can't tell what he has over by the LS,
- 1:58:15Speaker 1: So I have to come back to that. He was
- 1:58:17Speaker 1: making a mistake. He needed a pencil number two. Uh,
- 1:58:22Speaker 1: that Kenny extraordinary, Okay, Sillo wet. You just forgot the
- 1:58:35Speaker 1: A extraordinary and I always get confused. I had the A,
- 1:58:41Speaker 1: but Silhouette was correct. I didn't win the spelling B,
- 1:58:43Speaker 1: but I beat that dude up. So I learned something.
- 1:58:46Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. We robbed him, We robbed
- 1:58:48Speaker 1: the spelling be championship. So we learned a little something.
- 1:58:52Speaker 1: Uh comand you Greg, you got both of them right,
- 1:58:55Speaker 1: and give him a producer got extraordinary? Right? Why Silhouette
- 1:59:01Speaker 1: I just can't make out. Let me tell you. Two
- 1:59:03Speaker 1: years later, we're still waiting for you to spell Pythagoras.
- 1:59:07Speaker 2: Oh you remember that? You remember that. See that's the
- 1:59:10Speaker 2: thing about having the show. You got Silhouette wrong. I
- 1:59:14Speaker 2: spelled it what you spelled the wrongs? He said, I
- 1:59:17Speaker 2: spelled it?
- 1:59:17Speaker 1: What wrong? What you spelled? Gonna ask you, I spelled
- 1:59:22Speaker 1: it what you spelled? It spelled it wrong? And we
- 1:59:25Speaker 1: all you know.
- 1:59:29Speaker 16: The truth is he will throw your.
- 1:59:31Speaker 1: In the ocean.
- 1:59:33Speaker 17: It's time to wrap things up on the Sports Judge Show.
- 1:59:37Speaker 1: With Wayne Candy. But here's the Sounds of the Ocean
- 1:59:50Speaker 1: gives the Sportshok just a minute too. Being would like
- 1:59:52Speaker 1: to thank you for tuning in to today's show Big
- 1:59:54Speaker 1: Kenny Commander, Greg Bad producer. Thank you for your contributions.
- 1:59:59Speaker 1: If you missed any of the show, you can go
- 2:00:00Speaker 1: to Apple Podcasts, Amazon Podcast, Audible, Deezer, iHeartRadio, Spotify and
- 2:00:07Speaker 1: hear the replay Ocean. It's quick today. Atlanta Hawks, drown yourself.
- 2:00:16Speaker 1: Drown yourself. Drown yourself at my house. Just drown yourself.
- 2:00:24Speaker 1: Alanta Hawks playing the next the other night, and the
- 2:00:27Speaker 1: most embarrassing game I've ever witnessed get already insulted me
- 2:00:32Speaker 1: with a sign that said two hundred and fifty dollars
- 2:00:34Speaker 1: for parking, and then you go out and get down
- 2:00:39Speaker 1: by sixty and a half. Pathetic, nobody came to work, embarrassing,
- 2:00:48Speaker 1: made history at home in a game six didn't even
- 2:00:55Speaker 1: make me feel bad leaving at halftime. Embarrassing loss to
- 2:01:02Speaker 1: an organization who actually had a great season, trading away
- 2:01:10Speaker 1: your superstar and still finding a way to make it
- 2:01:13Speaker 1: to the playoffs and ended up in the five or
- 2:01:16Speaker 1: six seed. But then it's okay to lose, But sixty
- 2:01:23Speaker 1: down sixty in a regulation game, I could have got
- 2:01:27Speaker 1: Georgia Tech yellow jackets for that.
- 2:01:29Speaker 24: I mean, just drown them, throw them real deep. If
- 2:01:40Speaker 24: they're gonna drown themselves. Did you want them to like
- 2:01:42Speaker 24: climb into the water or just jump?
- 2:01:46Speaker 1: They hawked. I want them to die like a seahawk
- 2:01:50Speaker 1: and then die. I prefer to shoot them out of
- 2:01:52Speaker 1: the sky and then dive at a speed that maybe
- 2:01:55Speaker 1: they'll die on impact. Yes, when they hit the water.
- 2:01:58Speaker 2: I got roasted pre k car rider line by lady
- 2:02:03Speaker 2: from New York that's a teacher, so I couldn't avoid
- 2:02:06Speaker 2: her dropping my grandson off. And she's like, don't think
- 2:02:09Speaker 2: I ain't gonna say nothing.
- 2:02:11Speaker 1: Yes, ma'am. We hope you have a great afternoon. From
- 2:02:15Speaker 1: the spots, Shock Show, Peace,
