- 1:23Speaker 1: this past weekend, we femcied a party at b in
- 1:27Speaker 1: collaboration with lahunte l A. It was so much fun,
- 1:31Speaker 1: It was so much fun. Yeah, Oh my god, I
- 1:33Speaker 1: had a really great time. It was on a Sunday
- 1:35Speaker 1: rooftop and we're so so excited to actually have one
- 1:42Speaker 1: of the organizers of the party here. Yes, we have Priscilla,
- 1:45Speaker 1: one of the most Chinona party organizers in l A.
- 1:48Speaker 1: So welcome girl, Hey, thank you, Hi, welcome and thank you.
- 1:53Speaker 1: My name is Priscilla car Dinner and I with the
- 1:55Speaker 1: l A. Yeah, we're so happy to have you here.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Thank you for coming through. And you look so cute. Yes, um,
- 2:03Speaker 1: everybody looked great last Sunday. Oh yeah, Mama was wearing
- 2:07Speaker 1: this really flowy, beautiful tropical pink and green dress. I
- 2:12Speaker 1: love that dress. Yes, and if you want to see
- 2:15Speaker 1: her green dress, go online and you can definitely see
- 2:17Speaker 1: what she both of them are wearing. Yes, thank you.
- 2:21Speaker 1: There's a really great photo of month Facebook on the
- 2:23Speaker 1: hull As site. And then they also was bringing us
- 2:27Speaker 1: like amber Rose vibes was it was cute, It was great.
- 2:31Speaker 1: So it was really fun. What was our role? I
- 2:34Speaker 1: love we were doing something kind of specific. Yeah, we
- 2:37Speaker 1: were the femcis, so we introde, you know, introduced everybody,
- 2:41Speaker 1: welcomed everybody to the party. Um, and then we also
- 2:44Speaker 1: introduced the amazing talent the heads that were there. Who
- 2:48Speaker 1: was there? Well, first we had the one and only Donna, Yes,
- 2:53Speaker 1: she performed. She sang off of her Toddle mixtape, that
- 2:57Speaker 1: her EP that came out recently. And if you were remember,
- 3:00Speaker 1: we actually Femci Dona's EP release parties like full Circle
- 3:04Speaker 1: Cull Circle. And I actually was wondering Priscilla, like, how
- 3:08Speaker 1: did you come about finding the talent, deciding who you
- 3:12Speaker 1: were going to bring to perform, to play? How did
- 3:15Speaker 1: that process work for you? Guys? Well, what we do
- 3:18Speaker 1: is we we prepare almost like six months before the
- 3:20Speaker 1: season starts. The season starts every summer, and our first
- 3:24Speaker 1: one was in Um in April. So UM we knew
- 3:30Speaker 1: mey was gonna be tough because we thought, okay, Memorial
- 3:33Speaker 1: that weekend, people are out of town and so UM
- 3:36Speaker 1: my husband, which is one of the partners, David Um,
- 3:39Speaker 1: he had a really good idea and said, you know what,
- 3:42Speaker 1: there's this is a perfect opportunity to bring other crews
- 3:45Speaker 1: or other um, other people from other areas and um
- 3:49Speaker 1: we usually bring like bands and and DJs, and we said,
- 3:52Speaker 1: why don't we do this a full on DJ show,
- 3:54Speaker 1: and then we thought, what a great idea to bring
- 3:57Speaker 1: fems in because um, of all of every musicians and
- 4:01Speaker 1: DJs and and seas and um, and we just thought,
- 4:05Speaker 1: you know what, women are just as strong and powerful
- 4:09Speaker 1: and and just as talented as men are. You hardly
- 4:13Speaker 1: see them out promoting themselves or you know, maybe in
- 4:16Speaker 1: their area or there in their communities. And we said,
- 4:21Speaker 1: this is a perfect opportunity to get them out, bring
- 4:23Speaker 1: them out, and you know what, to a wider audience,
- 4:27Speaker 1: to a wider audience. And we've gone and seeing we've
- 4:30Speaker 1: listened to every one of you guys before we even
- 4:33Speaker 1: decide to say, hey, let's let's bring them out. And
- 4:36Speaker 1: you ladies are I'm sorry but like, thank you, thank
- 4:42Speaker 1: you so much. I'm flattery. And Bona's voice was ridiculously amazing.
- 4:47Speaker 1: So we're just like, she's definitely a must. We have
- 4:50Speaker 1: to bring her out. And with you two and then
- 4:54Speaker 1: with the d days Um Sizzle and Jazzabella, it was
- 4:57Speaker 1: like a perfect combination. It was like, really, I see
- 5:01Speaker 1: that that was just like delicious Sizzle Fantastic. Yeah, like
- 5:05Speaker 1: if she's there, Abella too, But if Sizzle Fantastic is
- 5:08Speaker 1: at the party, it's going to be a crazy party.
- 5:11Speaker 1: And you know what, go online and check out what
- 5:13Speaker 1: every one of them wore. They guys all represented with
- 5:17Speaker 1: the colors and vibe and just vibrants. It was. It
- 5:20Speaker 1: was awesome. Yeah, super unique to everyone brought their own flavor. Yes,
- 5:28Speaker 1: absolutely to the body. So I loved it. Um, So
- 5:32Speaker 1: tell us a little bit more, tell us a little
- 5:34Speaker 1: more about yourself. What you do. How did you get
- 5:37Speaker 1: into party planning, organizing us every new event? Yeah, okay,
- 5:43Speaker 1: I was doing this since I was twenty one years old,
- 5:46Speaker 1: and I well, actually I used to be a go
- 5:48Speaker 1: go dancer. Tell us everything. So I used to live
- 5:55Speaker 1: up north in the Central Valley Fresno area, and yes, yeah,
- 6:00Speaker 1: and so I used to Um, I used to be
- 6:02Speaker 1: in the night scene and I used to love it. Um.
- 6:04Speaker 1: And I love to dance and I love music. I
- 6:07Speaker 1: loved house. Music was my number one thing. And sure
- 6:10Speaker 1: enough I had a promoter coach me and say you
- 6:12Speaker 1: want to be a go go dancer? And I said sure.
- 6:14Speaker 1: And I met David throughout that process and he was
- 6:18Speaker 1: starting out Djane. So just like a little by little,
- 6:21Speaker 1: I asked the promoter, Hey can you get David in?
- 6:23Speaker 1: And he played David Slack at that time in five minutes.
- 6:28Speaker 1: I love being honesty, thank you. Hey, we all got
- 6:31Speaker 1: to start some more bad or good? Oh yeah, and
- 6:35Speaker 1: we know we get it right, so just time when
- 6:39Speaker 1: on we got married, and um, David practiced every day
- 6:42Speaker 1: and knew he had to practice every day to get
- 6:44Speaker 1: you know, to get better and um and of course
- 6:47Speaker 1: as his wife and his partner, I had to support him.
- 6:50Speaker 1: And that's where I learned, Hey, I got I can.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I'm good at meeting people and I'm great at communicating
- 6:55Speaker 1: and being a host. So little by little he started
- 6:59Speaker 1: playing a nightclub US and we started playing for um
- 7:03Speaker 1: Gay Bar and we were there for four years four
- 7:07Speaker 1: just I know, actually you don't, I want to say
- 7:09Speaker 1: for seven years up north and I was the hostess
- 7:13Speaker 1: of the night and we used to have like four
- 7:15Speaker 1: plus people there. And then a little by little we
- 7:18Speaker 1: started our own events. Remember when raves were really big
- 7:22Speaker 1: and David was back then he was like what you
- 7:25Speaker 1: guys considered here rebels. Okay, you were like the the
- 7:30Speaker 1: hardy Davidson bella Morsey shirt and like the little pompadour
- 7:35Speaker 1: and okay, I love that. So um. With that being said, um,
- 7:42Speaker 1: we like, I said, we used to do the raves
- 7:43Speaker 1: and so as long as we've been married twenty twenty
- 7:48Speaker 1: one years, we it's just something that we've always loved.
- 7:53Speaker 1: We've always done. And then we moved here to l
- 7:55Speaker 1: A in two thousand and three and said, how do
- 7:57Speaker 1: you reach a community here? You know, we had to
- 8:00Speaker 1: learn from the bottom up to see what the differences
- 8:04Speaker 1: in what where people were at musically, and you know,
- 8:08Speaker 1: and little by little we just we met different people
- 8:11Speaker 1: and realize that it's a smaller community than you think. Yeah,
- 8:15Speaker 1: everybody knows everybody. Everybody knows everybody, and once you're in,
- 8:19Speaker 1: you just it just blossoms and it grows. And and
- 8:23Speaker 1: the way La Juna started, it started with myself and
- 8:26Speaker 1: two girlfriends and we said, uh, we said, what do
- 8:30Speaker 1: we like to do? We like to dance, we like
- 8:32Speaker 1: to party. We like to um uh sorry, I know
- 8:35Speaker 1: my friend Hite saying party. We liked it little even
- 8:39Speaker 1: but I said, no our pod party. So um, I said,
- 8:44Speaker 1: what's the best thing to do? We we all said
- 8:46Speaker 1: let's do it. Let's do something that's on a Sunday
- 8:49Speaker 1: or Saturday and do it during the day, you know,
- 8:51Speaker 1: because we do other things at night. And at that time,
- 8:54Speaker 1: the only real person that we knew that really DJed
- 8:57Speaker 1: was my husband. We're like, hey, can you be our DJ.
- 9:00Speaker 1: You come on, you know, play like really funky Afro Latin,
- 9:03Speaker 1: you know, cumbias, uh, you know, just stuff that we
- 9:05Speaker 1: like to dance to. He's like, okay, but you guys
- 9:08Speaker 1: gotta help me, you know, you gotta help me promote
- 9:10Speaker 1: and blah blah blah. So we started our first one
- 9:12Speaker 1: in Pasadena Cool. This was about four years ago, no,
- 9:16Speaker 1: actually five years ago and um, and so we did
- 9:21Speaker 1: the first the first event, and then we're like, oh
- 9:23Speaker 1: my god, this is gonna be hard. We gotta go
- 9:25Speaker 1: out and promote, we gotta do all this stuff. And
- 9:28Speaker 1: David said, you know, I need help. We need to
- 9:31Speaker 1: bring another DJ. And and are my friend Catolina? She said,
- 9:34Speaker 1: I know Glenn Red from Afro Funky and no, I'm sorry, Yuki.
- 9:39Speaker 1: You can see you can see those first He's She's all,
- 9:42Speaker 1: let me bring you Cansito in and help you next
- 9:44Speaker 1: week or the next event, which we used to have
- 9:47Speaker 1: it bi weekly back then, and Yuki came, amazing DJ.
- 9:51Speaker 1: You guys, he's a remixer, producer, he's and he played,
- 9:56Speaker 1: he played Sunday. They all three of them play, so
- 9:58Speaker 1: they're part of our know Glenn Red, you can see Thorn, David.
- 10:01Speaker 1: They each have a spot that you have, their uniqueness, um,
- 10:05Speaker 1: and they are good at what they do. They're just
- 10:08Speaker 1: there're those type you know, just people that's just music
- 10:11Speaker 1: is in there and they just know exactly what they're doing.
- 10:14Speaker 1: They know how to read the crowd. They know, um,
- 10:17Speaker 1: the music I am. I'm more on the dancer side.
- 10:21Speaker 1: When I hear music that I it's like your body
- 10:23Speaker 1: just moved, that's right. Yeah, And you just know right
- 10:26Speaker 1: off the batain when someone is good. Um, so you
- 10:29Speaker 1: can see the came out and he loved it, and
- 10:31Speaker 1: we asked. David came up to him and said, you know, hey,
- 10:33Speaker 1: do you want to join us and be partners with us?
- 10:36Speaker 1: And sure enough he came in and said yes. Then
- 10:39Speaker 1: he's I know someone else that would want to come
- 10:41Speaker 1: in and it's his birthday next one, let's bring him
- 10:43Speaker 1: And that was Glenn Ritt And from that point on
- 10:45Speaker 1: that that was history. I've been together going on five
- 10:50Speaker 1: years strong. And you can tell if people who have
- 10:52Speaker 1: been following us since day one have known that we've
- 10:55Speaker 1: grown from thirty people to this last Sunday, which was
- 10:58Speaker 1: over four People's amazing. That's really, that's really something. Congratulations.
- 11:05Speaker 1: You guys were part of that. You guys made it happen.
- 11:07Speaker 1: I'm telling you, I know I should be saying this
- 11:09Speaker 1: out loud, but it was our best one yet, no way.
- 11:13Speaker 1: It was the female women are in control of the thing.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Beautiful things happened, Amazing feats are published. It was something
- 11:23Speaker 1: that I noticed that I was sharing with them, Priscilla,
- 11:26Speaker 1: is that while I went to the restaurants on Chant
- 11:28Speaker 1: that I heard someone say, like, there are so many
- 11:31Speaker 1: women here, right, It's this a feminist event. All the
- 11:34Speaker 1: DJs are women. And they were like they were saying
- 11:36Speaker 1: it and like, oh my god, that's so dope kind
- 11:38Speaker 1: of way, you know, And I was like, yes, it is.
- 11:41Speaker 1: It's amazing. Yeah, So people really noticed, you know, that
- 11:45Speaker 1: women were being highlighted, especially that night. Yeah, you know what,
- 11:48Speaker 1: And we definitely, we definitely are inspired by you women.
- 11:52Speaker 1: We are. I'm inspired by you guys as I'm the
- 11:55Speaker 1: only women in our you know, our collaboration. Um, but
- 11:59Speaker 1: the men, they respect me. They listened to what I
- 12:02Speaker 1: have to say. They totally. I mean, they're they're just
- 12:05Speaker 1: on board. And this the way, the reason it worked
- 12:09Speaker 1: out so well is because we know that you guys
- 12:14Speaker 1: aren't just women. Yours are talent. You guys are talented
- 12:18Speaker 1: just like us. We're talented. Bringing them together and you know,
- 12:22Speaker 1: race color, female, male, it didn't matter because you guys
- 12:26Speaker 1: are good at what you do and the DJs were
- 12:29Speaker 1: good at what they did and you know, um, and
- 12:32Speaker 1: it helped out that it was a feminite. But you know,
- 12:36Speaker 1: I just I think it was more than that. I
- 12:38Speaker 1: think it was more that you guys are just you know,
- 12:40Speaker 1: you guys are good at what you do and you
- 12:41Speaker 1: guys and people know that and they follow you guys. Right.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you. You are so sweet. I'm so
- 12:48Speaker 1: excited that we got to work with you. And you know,
- 12:52Speaker 1: I think that there is I don't know too much
- 12:55Speaker 1: about like history of parties. I guess we'll call it that.
- 13:00Speaker 1: I feel like there are a number of different events
- 13:04Speaker 1: that do try to cater to women and sent your
- 13:07Speaker 1: women on a regular basis basis, and I think it's
- 13:10Speaker 1: because they see that women will come out and the
- 13:13Speaker 1: party will be fun. Like last night we went to
- 13:16Speaker 1: this party with with like the Mommy Collective, with Yes
- 13:19Speaker 1: Gun Merits and everybody, and we were at the Ecoplex
- 13:23Speaker 1: at the party called Baby Girl, and it was just
- 13:27Speaker 1: so much fun and it was very very very predominantly
- 13:31Speaker 1: like women that were there in attendance, and it was
- 13:34Speaker 1: just like the energy. I feel like, it's just so
- 13:36Speaker 1: up and it's so positive, you know, because we want
- 13:40Speaker 1: to dance, you want to have a good time, We
- 13:42Speaker 1: want love, We have to look pretty. We love to
- 13:45Speaker 1: like just um And that's what I love about art.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Event I love colors, so I the guys really doesn't
- 13:52Speaker 1: even to say no, Lata needs to be about bright colors.
- 13:55Speaker 1: And because honestly, I feel safer when I know it's
- 13:59Speaker 1: not so dark work and it's not so um so
- 14:02Speaker 1: just male oriented and just it was like with them,
- 14:09Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I'm getting I'm losing the train of thought.
- 14:11Speaker 1: But I personally look at it like if for me
- 14:15Speaker 1: going out as a woman, what do I want to see.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I want to see people dancing. I want to have
- 14:19Speaker 1: people fun having fun. I want to have a little drink.
- 14:22Speaker 1: If I want to have a drink without worrying someone's
- 14:24Speaker 1: like gonna take advantage of me exactly how can I
- 14:28Speaker 1: feel right? There's a lot to be said. I think
- 14:31Speaker 1: about like the gender dynamics of party. Yeah, and there's
- 14:36Speaker 1: like politics of partying and when you're at the party
- 14:39Speaker 1: and like safety, fun atmosphere, like attitude, all of that.
- 14:45Speaker 1: I feel it can be very political. And it's interesting
- 14:48Speaker 1: how you like, as a party planner and someone who
- 14:50Speaker 1: does events, how you can really shape and mold that. Yeah. Well,
- 14:55Speaker 1: I'm going to give you an example and I'm not
- 14:56Speaker 1: gonna use anything, but the day on Sunday, as women
- 15:00Speaker 1: were leaving, there were some women that were leaving and
- 15:02Speaker 1: I had a gentleman that was whistling like, hey, where
- 15:05Speaker 1: are you going? Where you going? Like whistling, whistling. David,
- 15:08Speaker 1: one of the partners, stopped them and said, hey, don't
- 15:11Speaker 1: do that. You know, we don't do that. Do that here.
- 15:14Speaker 1: We want the women to feel comfortable. Don't don't. I
- 15:17Speaker 1: hate saying this, but don't cattle call them, you know,
- 15:19Speaker 1: because that's not that's disrespecting them. And we don't believe
- 15:22Speaker 1: in disrespect. We believe in making sure you guys are safe,
- 15:25Speaker 1: that we're all safe no matter what you know. Um,
- 15:29Speaker 1: And that's the kind of stuff that we look out
- 15:31Speaker 1: for and we want to make sure that we do
- 15:33Speaker 1: not have that there. That's great, and you know that's
- 15:37Speaker 1: the thing like clubs and parties can be very aggressive places,
- 15:41Speaker 1: hostile places. You can get grabbed and groped and all
- 15:44Speaker 1: kinds of things. Right, it's awful, it's awful, right, But
- 15:48Speaker 1: there's also this flip side were like the security does
- 15:52Speaker 1: not always intervene. Right, the whoever is they're hosting the
- 15:57Speaker 1: party and putting the party together or is at the club,
- 16:00Speaker 1: is not like putting forward expectations like what you just
- 16:03Speaker 1: described for like men in attendance. So that's really interesting
- 16:08Speaker 1: that like the people who put the party together, who
- 16:10Speaker 1: orchestrate it, have a lot of control in a lot
- 16:13Speaker 1: of ways over how guests are treated. They don't treat
- 16:16Speaker 1: each other, they really do. And if you don't, if
- 16:19Speaker 1: we don't, as the one store in the party, it
- 16:21Speaker 1: will be seen and it will be noticed and people
- 16:24Speaker 1: will be like, you don't what, I don't want to
- 16:25Speaker 1: go there? It's not saying it's a space, yeah, yeah,
- 16:28Speaker 1: because you know when you're when you're even when you're
- 16:29Speaker 1: at a club, maybe not necessarily like an event, but
- 16:31Speaker 1: just at a club and you're like, the I don't
- 16:34Speaker 1: like the vipe here. You can you walk in and
- 16:36Speaker 1: you can already feel it. We had that experience next
- 16:39Speaker 1: door one time. I mean it wasn't the bar owners
- 16:47Speaker 1: or anything, that there was someone there that was just
- 16:49Speaker 1: being very aggressive towards us. God, let's tell the stories.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Tell the story. So we were there and we were
- 16:55Speaker 1: as always minding our own business as always have our
- 16:59Speaker 1: drink looking fly a. Yes, we were finding and minding
- 17:02Speaker 1: oro own business. We were sitting on the bar, we
- 17:04Speaker 1: were talking to each other, we weren't taking up any space.
- 17:07Speaker 1: We were just being and this really really really drunk
- 17:11Speaker 1: guy like stumbles over to us, and he was a
- 17:14Speaker 1: very big, like broad shoulder, like a big man. And
- 17:18Speaker 1: we're not that tall, like I'm five ft four right exactly,
- 17:25Speaker 1: so and we're sitting and so he comes and he
- 17:27Speaker 1: must have been like I don't know, like at least
- 17:31Speaker 1: maybe six ft. He was big, and so he was
- 17:33Speaker 1: super sweaty too, because he was so drunk, and he
- 17:36Speaker 1: was like slurring his words, and he came over and
- 17:39Speaker 1: like basically like fell on top of he was like
- 17:42Speaker 1: over he was like on So while we were sitting
- 17:46Speaker 1: so we ben smaller, right, Yeah, and his like sweat
- 17:50Speaker 1: was like getting on me. It was awful. And he
- 17:53Speaker 1: was like getting mad that we didn't want to talk
- 17:55Speaker 1: to him and that I wanted I was shoving him away. Yeah,
- 17:58Speaker 1: I think she went like that, go away, push your
- 18:01Speaker 1: hand towards him, like stop, yes, And then he started
- 18:04Speaker 1: like cussing and he kept coming back, going and coming back.
- 18:07Speaker 1: It was awful. He said something like y'alling que anyway,
- 18:10Speaker 1: yeah said anyway, and we're like, okay, sure, yeah, you're right,
- 18:15Speaker 1: you're right, We're not cute. Yes, that's why you that's
- 18:17Speaker 1: why you keep coming up to us over and over. Yeah.
- 18:21Speaker 1: So I mean obviously a lot of folks you know,
- 18:24Speaker 1: go to East Side Love definitely not we're not talking
- 18:26Speaker 1: about them. But you can be at somewhere that maybe
- 18:28Speaker 1: you think is a community space, right, These people, the
- 18:30Speaker 1: people that I'm friends with, they go out here. It
- 18:33Speaker 1: should be safe here, but then you can have one
- 18:35Speaker 1: bad experience and you don't want to go back there. Yeah.
- 18:38Speaker 1: And you know, I'm not saying that every event is perfect,
- 18:42Speaker 1: but as like like we were talking about as promoters
- 18:45Speaker 1: and and hopefully other like ore, there's other of course,
- 18:49Speaker 1: there's other friends that we have there, and hopefully they
- 18:52Speaker 1: understand what we're about. And we're hoping by the way
- 18:55Speaker 1: we are and the way we represent ourselves that they'll
- 18:58Speaker 1: represent that too. So they see that, they'll stop it.
- 19:01Speaker 1: They'll stop it, you know, And and that's it. Trickles,
- 19:04Speaker 1: you know. Yeah, you know who you are, will represent
- 19:06Speaker 1: your party. Yeah, I love it. I love it. Oh
- 19:09Speaker 1: my gosh. There's so much, so much as far as
- 19:13Speaker 1: events and whenever people come together. I think there's just
- 19:16Speaker 1: a lot going on there. People don't realize that a
- 19:20Speaker 1: lot that happens, a lot of networking, there's a lot
- 19:22Speaker 1: of way. Yeah, look at we networked yet absolutely, and
- 19:28Speaker 1: we also did networking at the party. We did. Part
- 19:32Speaker 1: of our role as SMCS part as local was to
- 19:35Speaker 1: interview partygoers, people that were there that were having a
- 19:38Speaker 1: good time, and we asked them a very simple question, um,
- 19:42Speaker 1: what they thought they're the ingredients were for a perfect party? Yes? Yes,
- 19:48Speaker 1: and so we're going to actually play for you guys.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Some of the interviews that we did, um, while we
- 19:53Speaker 1: were at the party, we were just walking around and
- 19:56Speaker 1: it was really cute because at the beginning we were
- 20:00Speaker 1: entrusted with making announcements like people's birthdays. Somebody was turning seventy.
- 20:07Speaker 1: That was beautiful. That was so cute. And she was
- 20:10Speaker 1: dancing the whole time she was there. I'm sure she
- 20:14Speaker 1: was so So we like also celebrated and talked about
- 20:19Speaker 1: some people were graduating, some someone was moving to the
- 20:23Speaker 1: Dominican Republic to make a documentary. A bunch of birthdays. Yeah,
- 20:27Speaker 1: we had mom and daughter birthdays. Yeah, that was beautiful.
- 20:31Speaker 1: There were people there from New Zealand's New Zealand, Philadelphia,
- 20:34Speaker 1: and New Jersey. Yes. So one of the interviews that
- 20:38Speaker 1: we did, we actually did an interview with our favorite
- 20:42Speaker 1: ms Dona. Um. So we're gonna play a little bit
- 20:45Speaker 1: of that for you. I wonder if you can play
- 20:55Speaker 1: it without this you can hear it. I think it'll
- 20:57Speaker 1: pick up. Okay, stand by, we're sticking. We're on standard
- 21:01Speaker 1: stand for having technical difficult usually pretty usually can happen.
- 21:05Speaker 1: It happens here a brown or our look at the
- 21:06Speaker 1: a radio. Okay, ask your name where you're from the
- 21:16Speaker 1: ingrains with the perfect party. My name is Dona. I'm
- 21:19Speaker 1: Familla and the ingredients for a perfect party. So Natila,
- 21:24Speaker 1: I'm working. Oh my god, that's one of our interviews. Yes,
- 21:32Speaker 1: and that was what was our question for all of
- 21:33Speaker 1: our our guests. Yeah, so name of course, name where
- 21:37Speaker 1: they're from, and the ingredients for a perfect party and
- 21:41Speaker 1: what do you think what do you guys think are
- 21:43Speaker 1: the ingredients for the perfect party? Okay? Um, this is
- 21:47Speaker 1: a little bit of our secret sauce along and I
- 21:50Speaker 1: can't give away a lot of it. Okay, I'll give
- 21:52Speaker 1: you guys some of the points. Um, definitely, who we are,
- 21:57Speaker 1: who the promoters are, you know, the person alities that's
- 22:00Speaker 1: going to be that's major, and how they get along.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Another one is music musicum, and looking at the party
- 22:10Speaker 1: through the dancers perspective. Perspective. Yeah, that this is for
- 22:14Speaker 1: me and drinks. Drinks, drinking, Sorry, I know, but it's true.
- 22:23Speaker 1: If you can feel comfortable being somewhere and having a
- 22:25Speaker 1: glass to yourself and not worrying about you know, but
- 22:29Speaker 1: yet you can stop people take care of you, you
- 22:31Speaker 1: tend to have a better time and you don't. I'm
- 22:34Speaker 1: not saying you have to drink, you don't, but I
- 22:36Speaker 1: do think like a little or a little cocktail on
- 22:38Speaker 1: the side. We agree, we tend to agree, but drink
- 22:45Speaker 1: a little drink um, maybe some food and good company.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Love it. I agree with everything. What I would add
- 22:54Speaker 1: is a place to sit, because that's someone that was
- 22:57Speaker 1: really really big heels all the time. I want to
- 23:00Speaker 1: get my I want to get my dance on shaking mass,
- 23:02Speaker 1: but can also be able to sit when maybe I'm
- 23:04Speaker 1: not feeling the music and my feet are hurting, right,
- 23:06Speaker 1: I don't. I'm definitely not not the one that will
- 23:08Speaker 1: take off her shoes no, no, never, never never to
- 23:11Speaker 1: get home exactly, but I would like like a place
- 23:14Speaker 1: to sit. I think that that is a really key ingredients.
- 23:18Speaker 1: If you want women to have a good time at
- 23:20Speaker 1: your party, if you want fems, anybody who wears heels
- 23:23Speaker 1: to have a good amateur party, then you need some seating. Agreed.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Which was so nice because we actually had a cabana
- 23:31Speaker 1: that day at the party. So it was great because
- 23:34Speaker 1: we could you know, go take a sea, have our drink.
- 23:37Speaker 1: We could also leave our drink there because we were
- 23:39Speaker 1: all there, right, so we weren't worried about anything. You know.
- 23:42Speaker 1: It was definitely very safe in that way, and that
- 23:44Speaker 1: was not us being able to have a place to sit. Absolutely. Yeah,
- 23:47Speaker 1: let's hear from our other guests that party, guess what
- 23:51Speaker 1: they thought the ingredient for the perfect party? Okay, chance
- 24:00Speaker 1: that I can you tell us your name? Your friends?
- 24:05Speaker 1: I want to catch on here to day. I'm sure
- 24:08Speaker 1: my baby's blue. I'm from LFE and I came to
- 24:14Speaker 1: one of my best friends and one of the most
- 24:17Speaker 1: challenged people I know. Um, Dona. She's up cussing and
- 24:21Speaker 1: she's been working hard for all her life. And oh
- 24:28Speaker 1: well there's that. So there's that. So that was another
- 24:32Speaker 1: guest that was Lulu. She was so cute. She was
- 24:34Speaker 1: there supporting Dona. Um. Let me see, I don't think
- 24:39Speaker 1: that we got to her. She's getting your leg and
- 24:42Speaker 1: I'm so proud of her. You know what I remember
- 24:46Speaker 1: now she actually did not want to share the ingredients
- 24:49Speaker 1: for a perfect part because she was nervous. She was like,
- 24:51Speaker 1: I can't see her right now. So we're like, okay,
- 24:53Speaker 1: so what brought you out here today? So she talked
- 24:55Speaker 1: about Dona. You're right, that's what happened. Yeah. So there's
- 24:58Speaker 1: also one that we tailored a little bit because sound
- 25:00Speaker 1: and we're not going to share it because the sound
- 25:01Speaker 1: quality wasn't that good. But there was someone they're celebrating
- 25:04Speaker 1: her birthday, So we asked her what she thought the
- 25:08Speaker 1: perfect birthday outfit was and she said florals. She said,
- 25:12Speaker 1: a ton of florals. My friends, that's like the perfect
- 25:16Speaker 1: birthday and birthday gets together for me. Yes, yeah, absolutely,
- 25:20Speaker 1: Should we try another interview? Yeah, definitely are. The guests
- 25:23Speaker 1: were so cute and they were like willing to talk
- 25:25Speaker 1: to like at please tell us your name than party,
- 25:36Speaker 1: ingredients party party, I love it, thank you beer? Yeah,
- 25:47Speaker 1: I love and I love a good opinion forty. She's
- 25:50Speaker 1: so big even though she's from self exactly to recap.
- 25:54Speaker 1: She said, ingredients for the perfect party is pizza E
- 25:58Speaker 1: forty and I p a that party. Please invite me
- 26:03Speaker 1: to that party. Yeah, Gotto does love the Bay area.
- 26:06Speaker 1: She does. She she goes hard for the Bay and
- 26:08Speaker 1: they appreciate her for you. I think, Yeah, drinks are
- 26:12Speaker 1: really important to me as well at a party. I
- 26:15Speaker 1: also really appreciate when like venues are really awesome, and
- 26:20Speaker 1: I like venues that have some type of outdoor option
- 26:24Speaker 1: or a patio option. Yes, I always love a patio,
- 26:27Speaker 1: always love a patio. We need to more seating, more seating. Well,
- 26:33Speaker 1: I'm hoping we hope that provides that, um I know,
- 26:37Speaker 1: we have cabanas, and we have the fireplaces, and we
- 26:39Speaker 1: have um I know, we have open seating to the right.
- 26:42Speaker 1: And we did have a little bit of problem with
- 26:44Speaker 1: the bar because like we almost hit like capacity up
- 26:47Speaker 1: on the rooftop, which was awesome. So looking one thing
- 26:51Speaker 1: about life without what we do is we try to
- 26:53Speaker 1: see what's what could we make better And because of
- 26:56Speaker 1: this this event, we said, you know what, We're going
- 26:59Speaker 1: to open a sidebar to help people get a drink
- 27:03Speaker 1: and feel um And I'll have to be waiting for
- 27:05Speaker 1: thirty twenty minutes for a drink, absolutely because that a
- 27:08Speaker 1: girl in heels right again, Yeah, and then yeah, because
- 27:12Speaker 1: it's if you're wearing heels. It's one thing if you're dancing,
- 27:15Speaker 1: you're good, right, But when you start to stand still
- 27:17Speaker 1: and you're waiting, that's when it hurts because all the
- 27:19Speaker 1: way it just goes right to your feet. Yes, So
- 27:21Speaker 1: we try to take all that into consideration and we
- 27:24Speaker 1: tried to um, Like I said, we can't make a
- 27:26Speaker 1: party perfect, but we try to make it pretty close
- 27:30Speaker 1: and pretty comfortable. And I did like the venue that
- 27:33Speaker 1: you all were, you know, used don't shunt it because
- 27:36Speaker 1: I feel like if a party is on a rooftop,
- 27:39Speaker 1: it gives it so many points, like automatically, you know,
- 27:43Speaker 1: it adds so much to the party, just like because
- 27:47Speaker 1: of the nature of the rooftop, it's cool. So I
- 27:49Speaker 1: love rooftop parties and that's one of the reasons why
- 27:52Speaker 1: I always look forward to summer in l A. Is
- 27:54Speaker 1: all the rooftop parties. Yes, yes, it's like you have
- 27:58Speaker 1: to go to at least one if you're here, And
- 28:01Speaker 1: that's why we we make it very um special to
- 28:05Speaker 1: come out. That's why we only do it once a month,
- 28:07Speaker 1: the last Sunday of the month, all the way until September,
- 28:11Speaker 1: and we have amazing guests coming up for the next
- 28:14Speaker 1: one's um. We we do bring live bands, UM and
- 28:18Speaker 1: we do bring UM. So we try to make it
- 28:21Speaker 1: a special event to make it. Get your get your
- 28:23Speaker 1: outfit ready two weeks before, you know, get your babysitter,
- 28:29Speaker 1: get your affairs right, get your affairs in order, because
- 28:31Speaker 1: that's the day you do not want to miss. I
- 28:34Speaker 1: love it. And so when is the next one? When
- 28:36Speaker 1: is the next Who is going to be there, Who's
- 28:39Speaker 1: gonna who should we expect So that we can kind
- 28:42Speaker 1: of start start preparing our outfits, preparing our outfit. We
- 28:46Speaker 1: always go with the theme, always go with the theme
- 28:48Speaker 1: when we're seen in public. Okay, So the next one
- 28:51Speaker 1: is June, and we have a band Body Rock Reggae
- 28:56Speaker 1: and Patrick and um, I believe we're gonna have Patrick
- 29:01Speaker 1: from Motown Mondays and UM I think the next guy
- 29:05Speaker 1: that I Ronnie and I forgot the name of his crew. Um,
- 29:08Speaker 1: we just we haven't confirmed, but UM, we're going to
- 29:11Speaker 1: put more details out. We don't normally get everything finalized
- 29:14Speaker 1: until um the first week from our last events, so
- 29:17Speaker 1: we'll have everything out this weekend. Um exactly what talent
- 29:21Speaker 1: times and cabanas will open up for people to grab
- 29:26Speaker 1: great and where can people reserve their cabanas? R s
- 29:31Speaker 1: v P find out about the party schedules. Where can
- 29:33Speaker 1: they find all that information? They can find that information
- 29:36Speaker 1: on our Instagram, on Twitter, on Facebook, we have a
- 29:41Speaker 1: link that will lead you back to all this information
- 29:44Speaker 1: and and you can find us on at Lajunta l
- 29:47Speaker 1: A that follows through for Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Perfect

- 30:08Speaker 1: Girl Hour. This one was some fun. This was fun.
