- 0:34Boom. All right, let's get into it
- 0:38guys. What's going on?
- 0:39Welcome back to the Ashby world, where we think differently
- 0:41daily. What's up, different thinkers?
- 0:43Hope you guys are having a great day and a great time.
- 0:46So I actually have eczema as well.
- 0:49I actually have aggravated eczema and I have something
- 0:51called dysodrotic eczema. Both are really annoying and
- 0:55painful, and my little fingers getting a killing right now, so
- 0:57I'm going to go put some cream on it.
- 0:59But regardless of those things I thought that there would be a
- 1:03good idea because autism has comorbid conditions which means
- 1:07Co occurring or as well as like ADHD and dyslexia, dyspraxia and
- 1:12all these things kind of come Co occurring with autism.
- 1:15I thought, well, eczema comes with autism quite often and I
- 1:21thought it would be a really good one because if there's a
- 1:23lot of people out there suffering, this may be able to
- 1:25help you. So, and if not, maybe you could
- 1:26pass this on somebody who does suffer with X-Men autism and
- 1:29this would be super cool. So before we get started guys,
- 1:31make sure you've downloaded my free Autism Life Hacks PDF book.
- 1:35You can get that at autismhacks.net right now.
- 1:38Completely free. You're awesome.
- 1:41OK, guys, so let's go through my list here.
- 1:45Actually, I've written all three things here.
- 1:47I guess there's going to be more.
- 1:48So if you think that, hey, Dan, I've got another one that you
- 1:51didn't mention, then just pop it in a comment down below.
- 1:53I read every single comment, so it's never wasted.
- 1:56So pop it in a comment, Let's have a conversation.
- 1:58You're amazing. And yeah, boom, let's get on
- 2:01with this one, right. So the first one I want to talk
- 2:04about is using moisturizer daily.
- 2:06Now it may seem like a OK it's a bit of a an odd thing to do or a
- 2:10bit of a self kind of like vanity thing to do.
- 2:11But a huge obvious must is to use moisturizer on your body and
- 2:16all the parts are most affected by eczema daily and this will
- 2:19help reduce the impact. Now a lot of people only just
- 2:21put moisturizer on the affected areas when the affected areas
- 2:24are getting a bit out of hand, which this doesn't really do
- 2:26much, it actually just masks the the issue.
- 2:29It doesn't keep on top of it. It just kind of short term kind
- 2:32of caps it, right. But what you're wanting is long
- 2:34term effects. So long term effect is that if
- 2:37you can reduce the amount of eczema kind of spread or
- 2:42irritation on your skin and the long term effect is going to be
- 2:44that you're not going to have eczema for that long.
- 2:46Now the better way to do this is to get a cream like dipper base
- 2:50or something like E45 or something similar to actually
- 2:54use on your skin. Now you can use a 1%
- 2:56hydrocortisone, but definitely speak with your medical
- 2:59consultants first, like your doctor or your physician,
- 3:01because I don't want you guys put something skin and then say
- 3:04Dan told you it's not my fault. I'm just giving advice here from
- 3:07what I'm doing now by doing moisturizer daily, it helps keep
- 3:11your skin completely moisturized, which stops it
- 3:14drying out and stuff that like eczema cracking and it stops the
- 3:16red itchiness as well, which is absolutely fantastic.
- 3:19So moisturizing daily helps keep those cracks away.
- 3:23Okay. So #2 is something that it
- 3:25doesn't affect everybody, but it does make a huge difference.
- 3:28So just try it. This one is milk allergies.
- 3:31Now, a lot of the time eczema can be caused by milk and having
- 3:35a milk allergy, so it can be reduced by cutting out dairy
- 3:38from your diet. And this is like a huge common
- 3:41problem. And you know, I I don't really
- 3:44have milk allergies because I am vegan and I don't know that I
- 3:49have any milk milk allergies, but I did stop dairy products
- 3:52because I'm vegan, obviously. And so because of this, I
- 3:57actually realized that not having milk has given me less
- 4:00irritation and eczema kind of all around my body.
- 4:02It doesn't stop eczema completely, but it definitely
- 4:04stops the impact and reduced it like a lot, like about 90%
- 4:08reduced it, it's crazy. So, so let's keep in mind.
- 4:10So it's a bear in mind and something to think about kind of
- 4:14long term, like maybe it's something that you'll try, maybe
- 4:16just try for a week, maybe it'll work, maybe it doesn't.
- 4:18And if it does work, then I've just saved you years of aggro.
- 4:22But if it doesn't work, then hey, it was worth a try.
- 4:25What's it stopped? It stopped you having milk for a
- 4:27week. But I highly recommend trying it
- 4:29for a week because a week will give you a good time frame to
- 4:32test this out. So yeah, checking out.
- 4:34OK, so #3 is the gloves. Now, in cold weather, eczema
- 4:39increases because the cold weather brings with it wind and
- 4:43the cold weather and the wind will crack out your skin, which
- 4:45is what's happening to my finger right now because it's November
- 4:49when I'm filming this video, and so it's cracking up my skin and
- 4:53all of this is going on. And so because of that, it's
- 4:56actually giving me really bad eczema.
- 4:58So I was thinking, how am I going to overcome this?
- 5:00How am I going to? So I tested something out.
- 5:02I wore gloves outside every when I was outside going for a walk
- 5:05or running or whatever. I put gloves on and just normal
- 5:09winter gloves. And those normal winter gloves
- 5:11actually stopped that cold, cold wind hitting my skin and
- 5:16cracking my skin with the cold. So much so that it it actually
- 5:22just highly reduced it and made it so much easier.
- 5:25So because of that, I recommend wearing gloves anything anytime
- 5:29you're out in public when you're in the cold weather.
- 5:33Because if you're outside, you're exposed to the elements,
- 5:35your hands are going to crack up, your face might crack up or
- 5:37whatever you get eczema is going to crack up.
- 5:39So it's better to cover it up, save those hands and arms and
- 5:43whatever getting cracked up for the winter.
- 5:45So those three are amazing and they do work.
- 5:48Now. If you think this video can help
