- 0:13Hello you guys, Welcome back to another episode of the Hawgrow Energy Podcast.
- 0:18I'm your host, Kaylee, and this is your weekly reminder that it's a
- 0:20new day, a new week, a new mindset, and another day for
- 0:24you to become the hawk Grow energy you want to attract. Happy Tuesday,
- 0:28guys, and welcome to a new week. I have some updates for you
- 0:34guys because I had such an interesting weekend, like fun weekend, not interesting,
- 0:41I guess, because I finally got Zach to come to a spin Cooat
- 0:45class with me. If you guys have been listening for a while, you
- 0:48guys know that I've been having such a hard time with getting Zach to a
- 0:52spin coot class with me. He just always, i don't know, had
- 0:57this mindset that spinning wasn't for good, or just this mindset of like not
- 1:03enjoying cardio, like he doesn't love cardio that much. But I was like,
- 1:07babe, you know what, you got to try it out. You
- 1:08can't say you don't like it until you try it, right, Like I
- 1:11kept pushing it on him just because I was like, you know what,
- 1:15it's such a great workout, it's such a great sweat. I just want
- 1:18him to come to one class and if he hates it totally fine, at
- 1:21least he tried it out, and it was also just allowing the opportunity for
- 1:25him to try something different and new for himself. And yeah, so anyways,
- 1:30on I want to say Wednesday or Thursday last week, I was like,
- 1:33babe, you should really come to a Spinkle class with me, Like
- 1:34I'm gonna go this Saturday. You should come with me, and he's like,
- 1:38you know what, I'm gonna come. I was like what He's like,
- 1:41yeah, just book me as your guest. And I was like okay,
- 1:45So I booked him as my guest and I booked him on like one
- 1:48of the classes that I was like, Okay, this is not a super
- 1:52hard class. It's like the average, which is still a good workout.
- 1:56But one of the instructors that I go to on Saturday sometimes she's like it's
- 2:00really really intense, like really really good. So I was trying to avoid
- 2:04that one specific class because I was like, Kate as a beginner class,
- 2:07like this is not the class to go to. However, the class we
- 2:09went to was actually a really really good one as well, So it wasn't
- 2:13easy, but it wasn't super hard. It was like a good average class
- 2:17and yeah, so I'm like, Kate booked him in. I'm like,
- 2:20you can't say no now, I've already committed to you going, so we're
- 2:23doing this. So on Saturday morning he was like, I'm nervous, like
- 2:27I don't know how well I'm gonna do. I'm like, at the end
- 2:30of the day, I'm like, you were on that bike, just focusing
- 2:31on yourself. No one is watching you, like you're literally in the back
- 2:36row. I put him. I put him in the back row just because
- 2:38I knew he didn't want, you know, people looking at him, because
- 2:39you know, trying something new is never easy, specifically when you're in a
- 2:44big crowd of people like that. So I put him in the back corner,
- 2:47which kind of sounds funny, and then I sat in front of him.
- 2:51That way, if he needed help with any movements or anything, like,
- 2:53he could just see me right in the front and I could guide him.
- 2:57So I was like, you have nothing to fear, like, no
- 3:00one's going to really see you. And also it just allows you to test
- 3:01out the class and see if you even like it. And he's like,
- 3:04okay, okay, like just like he was just being a baby about it,
- 3:07and like, literally, stop, You're going to be fine. And
- 3:10then we got in the class, and if you've never done a Spinko class,
- 3:15basically when you walk in, they give you a pair of shoes and
- 3:17hit a sign, a waiver or whatever. We get into the class and
- 3:21like, he knows how to clip into a bike, but I feel like
- 3:23every bike is different. So even for me, like my first Spinko class,
- 3:28I couldn't click in, Like I couldn't click my shoes into the bike
- 3:30properly, and it just kind of took a bit to learn. So usually
- 3:34when I bring a guest or someone that's never been to a Spinko class,
- 3:37usually they don't get out of the bike because they don't know how to like
- 3:40they don't know how to on clip whatever. And so Zach he clips in.
- 3:46He looks at me and he's like, yeah, there's no way I'm
- 3:46getting out of this. So like I'm stuck here and we start writing for
- 3:51the first few songs, and I noticed that his towel is on the ground,
- 3:57And usually when you're in a spinkle class, they give you towels because
- 3:59you get so sweat, right, like just to wipe yourself whatever, And
- 4:01I'm like, that's weird, Like why would he throw his towel on the
- 4:03ground. Anyways, obviously you can't talk during the class, so I'm just
- 4:08assuming he's doing good. I turn around give him the thumbs up, and
- 4:11then after the class I look at him. He's literally covered and sweat.
- 4:15His top is soaked, and I'm like, see was It's such a great
- 4:19workout and he's like, my towel fell the first two minutes of the ride
- 4:25and he couldn't reach it because he couldn't unclip out of his bike, and
- 4:28also the room is pitch block, so clipping back in would be a bit
- 4:30difficult. So he's like, I had to use my shirt as my towel
- 4:34to wipe all the sweat off. I'm like, oh my god, that
- 4:39is so crappy, Like what a crappy situation be. And I'm like,
- 4:41you should have just grabbed mine when I was like wiping my back or something,
- 4:44just for him to use. He's like, oh, I almost did
- 4:46at some points, but no. But all in all, if you didn't
- 4:50watch my Instagram reel, you should go watch it, just because it's a
- 4:53little funny. Reel of Zach doing my morning routine on Saturday. But it
- 4:58was actually Zach's favorite thing ever, Like he loved it, and he's actually
- 5:03coming back with me next Saturday. We already booked the class together, and
- 5:08he said, I want to make this a weekly thing, Like I want
- 5:09this to be our thing on Saturdays. It gets him, you know,
- 5:13working out all that. I think what's really motivating him is that he knows
- 5:16how much working out means to me and how I feel like it's such an
- 5:21important thing for people to include into their lifestyle, just working out moving their
- 5:27body, whether it's you know, two times a week, three times a
- 5:29week, four times a week, like I try and you know, explain
- 5:33that to him that, like it really puts a huge impact in your mental
- 5:39health if you don't move your body in ways. And Zach used to be
- 5:42a really really big gym guy. Like we actually both started our health and
- 5:45wellness journey together when we were like five or six years into dating. We
- 5:48both decided to become more you know, focus on our health more into working
- 5:53out all that. And I want to say the last two years, he's
- 5:57kind of fallen off a track of working out, like he maybe works out
- 6:02twice a week and the reason being for that is because he works a physical
- 6:08labor job. So my fiance, Zach is in the Union, so he's
- 6:12an electrician. He works super early mornings, he works super late nights.
- 6:16He you know, he is kind of getting a workout in, I guess
- 6:20because with his job, you know, he's on tools all that. But
- 6:24he leaves the house at like five fifteen every morning and he doesn't get home
- 6:29till seven. So the only time he really could do it is if he
- 6:34really wanted to after work. But by the time we cook dinner, clean
- 6:36up dinner, all that, it's like eight pm. So he's mentally exhausted
- 6:41from his day that he doesn't even want to do a workout, and he's
- 6:44trying to do the four am morning routine. But like I'm sure you're probably
- 6:48listening to that thinking, wow, that sounds difficult. I know for me,
- 6:51like waking up at four am would be a lot, And you know,
- 6:56if he can do it, great, If he can't, like,
- 6:58it's not the end of the world. So I think what's motivating him to
- 7:00do this Spinco class is that it allows him to push himself to do a
- 7:02workout once a week, even if it is just a cardio session, and
- 7:05then you know, maybe that will motivate him to maybe do a workout on
- 7:10Sunday mornings or Friday nights or whatever the case may be, or Monday nights.
- 7:14So he just he's trying to push himself to get back into a workout
- 7:16routine, and I think that Spinko class really woke him up and just wanting
- 7:20to be in better shape again and wanting to be working out again, and
- 7:24how good he felt after the class. So yeah, so I'm excited to
- 7:28keep doing the classes with him. I'm happy he actually enjoyed it and he's,
- 7:32yeah, looking forward to the next one already. So anyways, I
- 7:35just wanted to bring that up just because I think it's fun to do things
- 7:38with your partners, specifically things that your partner has never tried before and just
- 7:42you know, doing something out of their comfort zone. And he really enjoyed
- 7:45it, and I'm happy he's going to come back. So yeah, that's
- 7:47a little weekend recap. Everything else we did was honestly super low key.
- 7:51We tried out some new dinner recipes. That's like Zach and I's favorite thing.
- 7:55We love to cook new recipes at home, like Zach and I are
- 7:59literally at no me cooks, Like we literally just love to try new recipes
- 8:01and try them out together. And I always love filming us cooking just because
- 8:05it's our love language. It's our favorite thing to do together. And I
- 8:09feel like you guys love the cooking videos as well, so that makes me
- 8:11super happy. So it's a fun little thing to do for my job.
- 8:15And yeah, so let's get into this episode because I feel like I haven't
- 8:18done a episode like this in a very long time, which is how to
- 8:20romanticize your life this spring season, how to enjoy the little things. And
- 8:28here's an example of just romanticizing my life right now. It's Monday night.
- 8:31I have a candlelight. I'm literally watching the sunset from my main floor window,
- 8:37and I'm creating an ambiance while I'm recording this episode right now. Like
- 8:41to me, like just lighting a candle and setting the mood makes me feel
- 8:46like I'm romanticizing my life. So I'm gonna give you guys some little tips
- 8:50on what you can do during your day to day life or just the little
- 8:54things that can mean so much to you that you don't even realize, and
- 8:56I have about sixteen things here that I want to talk about just because these
- 9:01are some things that I have done already or things that I strive to do
- 9:05every season. And I feel like it's sometimes the littlest things brings so much
- 9:09pleasure and so much like beauty in your life, and I feel like you
- 9:16might as well romanticize your life. You only live once, and yeah,
- 9:18so let's get into it. Okay. The first thing you're gonna do is
- 9:22you're going to make a list of things in your phone of just simple pleasures,
- 9:26so a go to list that's easily accessible that you can just lift your
- 9:30mood. So go into your notesap on your phone and maybe write down eight
- 9:33things that lift your mood. So maybe that's going on a walk, Maybe
- 9:39that's stretching your body. Maybe that's going out to get a macha or a
- 9:43coffee. It's just those little reminders that allows you to soak up those moments
- 9:48and realize how amazing your everyday life is and it makes you just enjoy those
- 9:54little things so much more, if that makes sense. You guys know how
- 9:58much it means to me just going for a walk and getting a coffee.
- 10:01The weather's been so freaking nice as spring season already, and being able to
- 10:05go outside, go for a walk and get a coffee is like literally one
- 10:09thing that just lifts my mood so much. I could have a shit day,
- 10:13go on a hawker a walk and get my coffee. I'll be the
- 10:16happiest person ever after. Like, it's just those little things that brightens my
- 10:20day so much. And honestly, I think about like last summer for an
- 10:24example, and just doing the little summer morning routines that I have that I
- 10:28miss so much, and I just can't wait to get back into that routine
- 10:31once summer is here. But you know, as I said, the weather's
- 10:35already been super nice, so I've been able to include some of those things
- 10:37back into my routine. And it just makes me so excited to those little
- 10:41things because I know how much it impacts my mood, impacts my mindset.
- 10:45It makes me feel so good. So do that. Write some simple pleasures
- 10:50in your phone on the notes app. Just whenever you're feeling down one day,
- 10:52if you need something to lift your mood, look at that note and
- 10:56just look at all those things and do one or two of those things just
- 10:58to lift your mood. And I'm telling you right now you will be in
- 11:01such a better mindset throughout the day just by doing the simple little pleasures that
- 11:05make you feel so good. The next thing you're going to do is you're
- 11:09going to create a spring mood board. And what I mean by that is,
- 11:11like, what do you want to achieve this season? We are all
- 11:15about creating goals for ourselves, setting goals for yourself for every season or every
- 11:20year, and I think going into the spring season that we're in right now,
- 11:22there's obviously some things that you probably want to do for yourself. And
- 11:26maybe that's, you know, getting weekly floral arrangements, or going on a
- 11:30walk every single day outside, or maybe it's just the overall vibe you want
- 11:35to create for yourself this spring season. So go on Pinterest, save some
- 11:39images. Maybe there's some photos that you want to take during the spring season.
- 11:43Obviously I love to capture my life and I love to capture moments that
- 11:48are fun to me, specifically for the spring season. So right now I've
- 11:50been creating a spring mood board of images that I want to capture throughout the
- 11:56spring season that brings me so much joy. So go on Pinterest, find
- 12:00your favorite images, maybe find some ideas of things that you want to do
- 12:03with your friends, or just things that you want to do in your downtime,
- 12:07and really just create the vibe that you want to portray this spring season.
- 12:11Another way to romanticize your life is really elevating you're at home cooked meals,
- 12:16and what I mean by that is change it up. What I'm saying
- 12:18is, let's go on Instagram and start changing up your dinner recipes. If
- 12:22you're cooking the same stuff every week, obviously it's not really exciting to eat
- 12:26the same thing all the time. So by romanticizing your life, let's try
- 12:31a new recipe out. Light a candle, create some ambiance in your kitchen,
- 12:35maybe get some fun lighting going, put on a YouTube video or maybe
- 12:41even some slow music, and really just create a fun vibe while you're cooking.
- 12:45I feel like there definitely plays a huge presence in the overall tone of
- 12:50the room when you set the vibe. It's amazing how much a candle,
- 12:54setting different lighting on and adding a YouTube video or music in the background just
- 12:58plays such a big impact in your overall mood as well. While cooking,
- 13:01cooking with nothing is obviously boring and it doesn't sound fun. But by romanticizing
- 13:07it by making it fun, by making it enjoyable, by trying something new,
- 13:11by trying new recipes, makes it exciting. So it's almost like having
- 13:15a candlelit dinner to yourself, maybe pouring a glass of wine, or as
- 13:18I said, with your partner or a friend. Just really make it fun
- 13:22and enjoyable, just by doing those little things, which brings me to my
- 13:26next point, which is planning a fun date night with your friend or your
- 13:30boyfriend. One thing that I've been wanting to try so badly is a painting
- 13:35night. Tell me if you guys have seen this on TikTok or Instagram,
- 13:39but I've seen couples paint each other. Sorry, just by this so funny
- 13:45where the you know, I would paint Zach, Zach would paint me.
- 13:48And usually the drawings and paintings are so freaking funny because the girl usually looks
- 13:54like it looks pretty good of the guy, like it looks like the guy
- 13:58basically, and then the guy painting the girl it just looks like awful,
- 14:03like does not look like the girl at all, And they put so much
- 14:05effort into it and it's so funny. So yeah, anyways, stay tuned
- 14:09for that because I think that'd be a really funny video just because I've seen
- 14:11so many people do it. But this is your sign that if you haven't
- 14:15done a paint night with your partner or your best friend, you need to
- 14:18do a little paint night. It's so fun to also be disconnected from your
- 14:22phones and just do a little craft. Brings like the inner child out of
- 14:26you, I find, and it's something fun to do as little date night
- 14:28with your partner or your friend, another fun little date idea with your girlfriend
- 14:33or honestly just yourself. This can totally be done just buy yourself at home,
- 14:37but creating a spring or summer movie list of all the movies that you
- 14:41want to watch for the next three to four months. I have been very
- 14:46much into my romantic movies or romantic comedies, so I actually made a list
- 14:50in my phone of like all the movies that I want to rewatch. As
- 14:54much as I love to watch new movies, I also love to rewatch movies
- 14:58that I haven't seen in so many years. And I just love watching like
- 15:03romantic movies and watching it again. I don't know, I just like love
- 15:05the spark between a couple. It makes me feel so happy and feel so
- 15:09good, and I just love watching a cheesy romantic movie. It's just like
- 15:11one of my favorite things. So some of the movies that I have on
- 15:15my list currently are Dear John, The Vow, Save Haven, This one
- 15:20I actually watched last night. That movie is so underrated. I find Juliane
- 15:24Huff Oh my god, I freaking love her. And what I love about
- 15:28the movies that it's not just a romantic movie but it's also kind of a
- 15:31thriller because of the husband being a psycho. Anyways, I don't want to
- 15:35give too much a way if you haven't seen Save Haven, but it's on
- 15:37Netflix right now. But like just a list like that of just going through
- 15:41movies that you haven't seen. Another one is why am I blanking on the
- 15:46movie title right now? The one with Miley Cyrus and Liam Hensworth. When
- 15:50I look at you, I think, oh my god, that's the song
- 15:54the the movies called the Last Song. Why am I So Crazy? Anyways,
- 16:00I was kind of right because that is a song in the movie.
- 16:02But the Last Song is one of my favorite movies ever as well. But
- 16:06yeah, those are just some of the romantic movies that I have on my
- 16:07list right now that I love, and I'm slowly starting to create more to
- 16:11the list as i find them on Netflix or Amazon Prime. Oh another one
- 16:18that I just watched actually that was part of my list was The Ugly Truth.
- 16:22That was a really good movie as well. So just create a list
- 16:23of movies that you haven't seen in a while that honestly just makes you happy.
- 16:27It's like, oh, another one, The Longest Ride, Oh my
- 16:30god, I love that movie. That's such a good movie. Anyways,
- 16:33I'm just thinking of the movies right now and I'm so excited to rewatch them.
- 16:36But yeah, create a list in your phone and you'll be able to
- 16:40look back and honestly, as I said, just having a night like that,
- 16:42being able to romanticize and just watch a romantic movie like as I said,
- 16:47light a candle. Maybe cozy up your home by getting blankets all that,
- 16:51and yeah, it's literally the best. So talking about movies, as
- 16:55I mentioned, cozying up your home, I feel like plays such an important
- 16:59factor in living alone or just living in a home, Like by adding things
- 17:03to make your home just ten times better is so necessary. Like I'm going
- 17:07to bring up candles again because candles are literally my favorite thing ever. But
- 17:11another huge factor that I find really sets the mood is cool lighting, like
- 17:15whether it's a red light or a like a blue starlight. Like you can
- 17:19get so many cool different lights from Amazon for a really affordable price, and
- 17:23it literally just sets the vibe of the room. Like one of my favorite
- 17:27things in my house is my fireplace because it literally projects orange in my home,
- 17:33like an orange light in my living room. It's such a cool effect
- 17:37and I find it really just sets the tone of my living room and it
- 17:40makes it so cozy and enjoyable. Maybe invest in getting cute cozy blankets for
- 17:45you to cuddle with. Simply just adding these little things to your space will
- 17:48make it ten times cozier and it will almost create a little safe spot for
- 17:52you. So yeah, just romanticizing your home by adding these things I think
- 17:56are crucial to just setting the vibe, setting the tone, and just yeah,
- 18:02having a cozy space in your home is so essential. Another thing that
- 18:04I love to do this is like very therapeutic to me, is go on
- 18:08a sunset drive, blast your favorite music or your favorite playlist, and just
- 18:15chill, like can we talk about just driving for thirty minutes with your windows
- 18:18down at sunset blaring your favorite music like that is therapy to me. If
- 18:23you don't like to drive, then go on a long walk and just blast
- 18:26your favorite playlist while you're walking. But there's something about blasting music and just
- 18:30almost like zoning out, whether it's walking or driving, there's something extremely therapeutic
- 18:36about that. I don't know how to even explain it. It's just something
- 18:40again that just lifts my mood and just makes me so happy. So yeah,
- 18:45just enjoying those little moments I think are so so important. Okay,
- 18:48Another thing you can do to rmenticize your life is pick up a new hobby,
- 18:53and one hobby that I can think of that I picked up last summer
- 18:56that I hope to continue this summer, and maybe I'll try some different this
- 19:00year. Who knows. But last summer, Zach and I started to play
- 19:03pickleball, and I've never played pickleball in my life. I used to play
- 19:07tennis years ago when I was a kid, like super super young, and
- 19:11then I stopped playing when I was like seven or eight. So I have
- 19:15no tennis skills anymore, like I have not kept anything because I'm twenty eight
- 19:19now, so that would be twenty years and I honestly have not kept any
- 19:25skill from tennis. But anyways, when Zach and I played pickleball, I
- 19:30actually really liked it. It was a really enjoyable thing to do, and
- 19:33it was a fun little date night for him and I got us out of
- 19:34the house. We've got some movement in and it's just something fun to do
- 19:38with a friend or a partner, and it's something new to certain people.
- 19:42So that's something that I picked up last summer that I really enjoyed, and
- 19:45it was something that I was definitely out of my comfort zone, but I
- 19:48really enjoyed doing it. So if you've never played, highly recommend it.
- 19:53But maybe there'll be something new that I'll try this summer. I don't know,
- 19:56but definitely pickleball is a fun thing to do. Another thing that you
- 20:00could do to romanticize your life is create your dream morning routine or night routine.
- 20:03If you're the kind of person that doesn't have any kind of routine in
- 20:07your life, then you need to start planning your dream routine and your goals,
- 20:12like what do you want to do for yourself in the morning and at
- 20:15night. What is crucial to you. Once you start creating a routine for
- 20:18yourself, it creates a habit of just doing those things every single night or
- 20:22every single morning, and it makes you feel good. It makes you want
- 20:26to do those things. It allows you to look forward to doing those things
- 20:30when you wake up or when you go to bed. Like I love being
- 20:33a routine person. It truly has changed my life for the better and cannot
- 20:40say enough amazing things about it. And a morning routine can be as simple
- 20:42as doing small little steps. It doesn't have to be a two or three
- 20:48hour thing. Obviously, if you have the luxury of doing that, you
- 20:51should do it, But if you don't, it could be as simple as
- 20:53three things in the morning that you always want to do. That just allows
- 20:56you to feel like you have your shit together and it just allows you to
- 21:00to get everything that you need to get done for the morning as well or
- 21:03for the night as well. So keep that in mind. If you're someone
- 21:06that doesn't have a routine, this is your opportunity to do so and start
- 21:08planning your ideal routine, So definitely look into it if you haven't done that
- 21:14for yourself. Another one is is just hosting more. One of my goals
- 21:18for twenty twenty four was to host more dinners with my friends because I truly
- 21:22enjoy just hosting, like I love being able to create fun and entertaining things
- 21:27in my home and being able to share those experiences with my friends. And
- 21:33for example, my birthday party, did I have time to really host something?
- 21:37Absolutely not, Like I literally had forty eight hours to host an entire
- 21:40birthday party. Did I make it happen? Yes, because I was so
- 21:44determined on doing it, because I've been thinking about that for so long,
- 21:48of just hosting a fun, intimate dinner with my friends, and I'm already
- 21:52looking forward to the next one. I don't know what I'm going to plan
- 21:53the next one. I do want to base a theme around it. I
- 21:56like themes because then I can dress up my house for the theme. So
- 22:00with my birthday party, I really wanted to do a wine in pac the
- 22:03tasting night. So that's what we did, and it turned out so good
- 22:07and it was so enjoyable. It was so fun. Everybody was helping out.
- 22:11It's not like I was doing all the cooking and cleaning, like all
- 22:12the girls were involved, which honestly made it ten times better having everyone included
- 22:17in the cooking and the cleaning and just everything about it. I don't know,
- 22:21it was just such a fun little date idea. And yeah, I
- 22:22highly recommend being in your hosting era because it is honestly a lot of fun.
- 22:27Even if you have a book club or something that's super fun, or
- 22:32even like a movie club, maybe like just starting something with your friends,
- 22:36I think could be a really fun thing to look forward to. Another way
- 22:38to romanticize your life is having an at home spaw night. Have a face
- 22:44mask on, maybe do a candle light meditation session, do a hair mask,
- 22:48maybe take a hot bath with some epps and salts, like really creating
- 22:52at home spa vibe in your home. Like this sounds amazing, Like this
- 22:56sounds like like I literally want to do all of this right now. You
- 23:00cannot say no to a self care night, like literally, it is a
- 23:03game changing. It is again therapeutic. It's a way to lift your mood.
- 23:08You feel so good after doing all those things for yourself. You took
- 23:11time out of your day to do those things for yourself, which is also
- 23:15just such an amazing feeling to know that you put that time aside to folcs
- 23:19on yourself and take care of yourself. So if you haven't done a spat
- 23:23nite at home, take a Thursday or a Friday night to yourself and just
- 23:29literally have a spat night at home. Okay, this next one. I've
- 23:32been doing this for I want to say five years now, and this is
- 23:36something that I never really thought about because I thought everybody did this, but
- 23:38I guess not everybody does. And that is just wearing matching pajama sets.
- 23:44I have been obsessed with matching PJ sets for the longest time, and I
- 23:48feel like it has changed my entire life, Like going to bed with a
- 23:51cute PG set, waking up in the morning with a cute set on,
- 23:53Like I don't know, there's something that just feels so right about that.
- 23:59I feel puts together when I wake up. I don't feel sloppy. I
- 24:02feel like when I look at myself in high school, when I used to
- 24:03wear those like I don't even know, like box or shorts and like raggy
- 24:10gym shirts or like sports shirts that I got from soccer ringett Like I literally
- 24:15did not give two shits what I looked like. But when I went to
- 24:18bed and when I woke up. But I know it sounds stupid, but
- 24:21having a cute little PJ set on really does change the game. I don't
- 24:26even know. I can't even explain it. I just feel so much better
- 24:30with a cute set on verse like with raggy clothes on. I don't know,
- 24:33but trust me, if you've never done it, highly recommend it.
- 24:36It's the smallest little thing, but it really does make you feel ten times
- 24:40better. Another thing you can do to romanticize your life is purchasing yourself a
- 24:44cute coffee mug. I'm that kind of person where I literally wake up and
- 24:48all I can think about is my morning coffee. Like that, to me,
- 24:51is my favorite thing of my morning routine is just making my iced coffee
- 24:55and having that every single morning. And I find sometimes having obviously cute things
- 25:00makes things better. But if you purchase yourself a cute mug that's related to
- 25:04this season just makes things ten times better. Like Christmas, I love to
- 25:08have a Christmas mug this spring season. I actually bought I call it my
- 25:12Pinterest mug, just because I literally find it looks like a Pinterest mug,
- 25:17like it literally has bos on it. It has tulips on it, and
- 25:21it just literally looks like a spring mug. And I love it. And
- 25:23I've been using that to pour my coffee every single morning, and it's just
- 25:27the little things. I don't know. It just brings so much joy to
- 25:30my morning, and I find it allows me to look forward to making my
- 25:34coffee in the morning. It excites me. It's something to, you know,
- 25:38change up every season. It allows you to collect, you know,
- 25:42some mugs. Even if you want to paint a new mug for yourself.
- 25:45I think that'd be really fun. I always talk about doing that, still
- 25:48have only done it once for the fall season. I am not a good
- 25:52painter, but like not a good enough painter to paint a mug. Like
- 25:56I can paint a canvas because like it's just a piece of cake, but
- 26:00or a candle. I could probably paint a candle, but I feel like
- 26:03a mug. I don't know. My mug wasn't that good, So I
- 26:06don't know if I want to do it again. But I will paint something
- 26:08else, just not a mug. I will buy my mugs, I think,
- 26:11moving forward. But it is a fun thing if you're good at painting.
- 26:14I do recommend it. Maybe I just need to try and paint something
- 26:17else. Maybe that's the case. I don't think it's the painting of the
- 26:19mug. I think I'm just trying to paint something too difficult. I think
- 26:22I need to maybe make it a bit easier myself. Who knows, Okay.
- 26:26Another thing you can do tormenticize your life is planning the perfect day,
- 26:32like have a me day to yourself and just do a day of your favorite
- 26:36things. And that could be like going on a picnic, going to get
- 26:40a coffee, buying yourself flowers, getting a massage, maybe go window shopping,
- 26:45just finding things that make you feel happy, because whenever you're feeling down
- 26:49and you want to lift your mood, like obviously, doing those things that
- 26:53I mentioned in your notes, just of things that lift your mood is important,
- 26:57but also having a day to yourself of doing fun things that you never
- 27:02get to do is also important because it just truly makes you feel so happy
- 27:10and just your mood totally just ships whenever you do something like that to yourself.
- 27:14I did that for my birthday. I literally did all these things in
- 27:15my birthday. I got my favorite coffee, I bought myself flowers, I
- 27:21got a massage, I had like a little spa day. It was literally
- 27:25the perfect medday ever. I got my favorite takeout food for dinner, which
- 27:27was pizza. And Yeah, sometimes you have to splurge on certain things,
- 27:33but I feel like when you're splurging on yourself to I don't know, make
- 27:36yourself feel good, I think there's nothing wrong with that, and I don't
- 27:38know, it feels good to do. So the last thing that I'm gonna
- 27:41mention when it comes to romanticizing your life is just planning more solo dates.
- 27:47I think a lot of people don't take enough time to themselves, and that
- 27:51could be as small as going to work at a coffee shop alone, or
- 27:53you know, learning how to just enjoy your own company by going on a
- 27:57picnic alone or going on a walk alone. Just like, being more independent
- 28:02and finding ways to just enjoy your own company is something that I feel like
- 28:06a lot of people don't too. I feel like I struggle with that a
- 28:08lot. In twenty twenty two and in twenty twenty three, it was a
- 28:11big goal of mine to take myself on more solo dates and just enjoy my
- 28:15own company. So I feel like I did a really good job with that
- 28:18last year, and going into this year, I feel like I do a
- 28:21great job with that now of just really enjoying my own company and doing little
- 28:25dates to myself. You know, I work alone, so I definitely have
- 28:29to enjoy my own company, and I feel like I find ways to do
- 28:33that just by you know, going to coffee shops, going outside, enjoying
- 28:37the fresh air, going on walks, all that. So you really need
- 28:41to just, yeah, take time to yourself. It's important to take that
- 28:44time to yourself and yeah, just enjoy your own company. So those are
- 28:48some things and some tips that I recommend if you're looking to romanticize your life
- 28:53this spring season. I feel like a lot of these things are easy,
- 28:56and I don't think it's hard to do these things, but I do think
- 29:00it really makes a huge difference in your life. And just the small little
- 29:04details and the small little things truly mean so much to people, and I
- 29:08don't think they realize that. It's honestly those small things that I truly appreciate
- 29:12so much. And I think it's also just because I practice so much gratitude
- 29:18that I feel like I'm beyond grateful for small little things. Like that,
- 29:22and being able to have these small little moments to myself, these small little
- 29:26things that I just, I don't know, I cherish so much. So
- 29:30I hope you guys take away from this episode that doing these little things can
- 29:33make your life so much better. It's not difficult. It will literally just
- 29:37instantly lift your mood so much. And usually the spring season is kind of
- 29:41rainy, right, and if you're someone like me who has a hard time
- 29:45dealing with gloomy weather and just needs a way to lift their mood when they're
- 29:48feeling down, I feel like these things could really help you out of a
- 29:52rut or just help you, yeah, lift your overall mood. If you
- 29:55live alone, doing these things or mendicizing your nights at home, the mornings,
- 30:00anything like that, I feel like this could be a really good list
- 30:03to go through and yeah, just really amplify your life and make you feel
- 30:11excited to live your life every day. So I hope you guys enjoyed this
