Speaker 1: The Shaw Report. Stand-up comedian, writer and actress Ali Wong
• 0:10
Speaker 1: has announced she's touring Down Under next year and she's
• 0:12
Speaker 1: bringing her show to Crown Theatre on Monday, June 28.
• 0:17
Speaker 1: She has been to Australia before, but this is her
• 0:18
Speaker 1: first time coming to Perth. I'm very excited. I love
• 0:21
Speaker 1: Ali Wong, as well as her many Netflix specials. You
• 0:24
Speaker 1: may know Ali best from the multiple award-winning first season
• 0:27
Speaker 1: of Beef. Oh, yeah. You watch that? It's on your list?
• 0:30
Speaker 1: I have not watched it. It's on your list. But
• 0:32
Speaker 1: I heard so much about it. Oh, it's so good.
• 0:35
Speaker 1: Tickets go on sale 11am this Friday through Live Nation.
• 0:38
Speaker 1: And someone else that's coming to town, well, East Coast towns,
• 0:44
Speaker 1: not to Perth. And this one's going to disappoint their
• 0:46
Speaker 1: fans here. Bon Jovi. Bon Jovi have announced their Forever
• 0:51
Speaker 1: Tour is coming to Australia, but only to Melbourne and Sydney.
• 0:55
Speaker 1: We're going to have to repaint the Dockers bus and
• 0:57
Speaker 1: make it a Bon Jovi bus and drive across the Nullarbor. So, yes,
• 1:00
Speaker 1: that's right. If you want to see them, you'll have
• 1:02
Speaker 1: to go to Melbourne on March the 4th. I think
• 1:05
Speaker 1: that might be a long weekend for us. Oh, there
• 1:08
Speaker 1: you go. Make an extra, extra long weekend. I didn't
• 1:11
Speaker 1: actually look at whether that was a weekend. No, it's
• 1:15
Speaker 1: a Thursday. Thursday. Or you can go to Sydney on
• 1:20
  Speaker 1: March 11, which obviously is also a Thursday. It's a
• 1:22
Speaker 1: week later. You'll find all the details you need about
• 1:25
Speaker 1: getting your hands on tickets, which also go on sale
• 1:27
Speaker 1: this Friday at tgdainty.com. More than four decades after its release,
• 1:34
Speaker 1: Prince has claimed the top spot on Rolling Stone's 2026
• 1:39
Speaker 1: ranking of the 100 Greatest Guitar Solos of All Time.
• 1:43
Speaker 1: It is the solo in Purple Rain and it beat
• 1:47
Speaker 1: out performances by Jimi Hendrix, The Eagles and Pink Floyd.
• 1:50
Speaker 1: Landing at number one is a notable milestone considering the
• 1:53
Speaker 1: magazine famously left Prince completely off its 2003 list of
• 1:56
Speaker 1: the 100 Greatest Guitarists. And he's on this list twice.
• 2:01
Speaker 1: He took the number 15 spot for his performance of
• 2:04
Speaker 1: While My Guitar Gently Weeps at the 2004 Rock and
• 2:07
Speaker 1: Roll Hall of Fame ceremony. That is exceptional if you
• 2:10
Speaker 1: see it. I had a little refresher of that performance
• 2:15
Speaker 1: this morning and it is unbelievably good. Oscar winner and
• 2:21
Speaker 1: maker of Silly Candles, Gwyneth Paltrow, is headed to Netflix.
• 2:27
Speaker 1: Which is she more famous for now? Winning an Oscar. No,
• 2:31
Speaker 1: you know what? It's actually her candles. She's starring in
• 2:36
Speaker 1: a series called The Apology. And they clearly have great
• 2:40
Speaker 1: faith in her. She should apologise for the candle. Yeah,
• 2:42
Speaker 1: I think so. They've ordered two seasons straight off the bat.
• 2:45
Speaker 1: And it does, well, it sounds right up my alley.
• 2:47
Speaker 1: The apology is about a couple whose son was murdered
• 2:50
Speaker 1: 18 years ago in a cold case that gripped the nation.
• 2:52
Speaker 1: When someone suddenly confesses, justice finally seems possible. However, when
• 2:58
Speaker 1: they learn the killer may get off with a reduced sentence,
• 3:01
Speaker 1: they decide to take matters into their own hands. I
• 3:04
Speaker 1: like the sound of that. And look, I don't know
• 3:06
Speaker 1: what lullabies your folks sang you to sleep with when
• 3:09
  Speaker 1: you were a baby, Russ. I don't remember. I think
• 3:12
Speaker 1: I got Incy Wincy Spider and maybe My Bonnie Lies
• 3:15
Speaker 1: Over the Ocean at my grandmother's. Well, in the house
• 3:17
Speaker 1: of Gaga, things are a bit different. Well, they would be,
• 3:20
Speaker 1: wouldn't they? I was reading this morning that Lady Gaga
• 3:23
Speaker 1: sends baby Rose off to sleep with this. Oh, they're
• 3:27
Speaker 1: not proud of themselves. It was my Lovey and Rose, Mum.
• 3:33
Speaker 1: Does Mummy put all the make-up on at the same time?
• 3:37
Speaker 1: In fact... Scared the child. Lovey and Rose. In fact,
• 3:40
Speaker 1: I believe Lady Gaga loves the Edith Piaf classic so much,
• 3:43
Speaker 1: it does play a part in the inspiration for Baby
• 3:46
Speaker 1: Rose's name. Well, at least she can sing. Oh, gosh,
• 3:49
Speaker 1: she can. It definitely inspired the giant rose tattoo she
• 3:52
Speaker 1: has on her back. Gaga, that is, not the baby.
• 3:55
Speaker 1: Not yet. Not yet.
