- 0:00My language of love was more audio, so OK, so it's been it's
- 0:11been a while since I did a kind of vloggy type video, but I
- 0:13wanted to do today's video in this style because like I miss
- 0:17talking. I miss talking to you like this.
- 0:18I like this setup is really good and everything.
- 0:21I like this and it's cool because we got the whole oh
- 0:24shoot strap my water I have this light I can just like boom and
- 0:28then you get my my background light which is kind of cool
- 0:30right? But it just doesn't doesn't
- 0:31always fulfill me. But I've done some changes in in
- 0:34the office. Let me show you guys.
- 0:55OK, so you guys are familiar with this is like my desk setup,
- 0:59so I have my lights, my microphone and all my computer
- 1:01stuff. And yes, that is an awful lot of
- 1:03hard drives. OK, so over here I've swapped
- 1:07out my acoustic guitar for my bass guitar.
- 1:08Now this bass guitar has come on tour with me and I've played
- 1:10this in my band a bunch of times and now my acoustic guitar is
- 1:13over here. But we'll get to that.
- 1:15And then we have like some workout stuff and some like, you
- 1:19know, equipment for cameras. And then I've got some toys and
- 1:21stuff here. And then over here I've got my
- 1:23skateboard collection, which is like my Boosted Board, which is
- 1:28absolutely awesome. This is kind of like my #1 go to
- 1:30and then my other boards, which are kind of cool.
- 1:33Anyway, Pete McKinnon bag, my comfy chair to sit on.
- 1:39Then I've got my acoustic guitar here.
- 1:41Wow, this is blurry. OK, I've got my acoustic guitar
- 1:43here. Then I have this, this cabinet
- 1:47with all my stuff and all my books and stuff and then Dog's
- 1:50bed. Oh my goodness.
- 1:51Randy. Why he was see he, I don't know
- 1:53if anyone else's dog does this, but like Randy chews through his
- 1:56blankets and now it's a big hole there.
- 2:00Is that right, Randy? Yeah.
- 2:03So then we have this like really junky looking couch.
- 2:06It's it's like super gross, like the the baby's drawn on it like
- 2:09a pen and Randy's like sat on it and saw.
- 2:11Gross. Yeah.
- 2:12So this is the, this is the new office setup, so I'm going to
- 2:16sit down here for a second. So I guess so many questions
- 2:19from you guys asking about like relationships and like love
- 2:22advice and and relationships in general, you know, and I don't
- 2:26want to do my best for you guys. So I have recently been doing
- 2:32loads and loads of videos. I've got a couple of cool things
- 2:34launching. I've got two websites coming
- 2:35out. One is a membership website for
- 2:38you guys which I will tell you all about very very soon.
- 2:40And if you're not already on my mailing list, make sure you go
- 2:43to the aspyworld.com and register my mailing list now to
- 2:46be first to know when it comes out is only going to be 200
- 2:48places available when we first launch.
- 2:49But regards to that I've entered a competition.
- 2:53Thank you guys so much for voting for me and then yeah the
- 2:55competition haven't been drawn yet so I'm waiting.
- 2:57I think Friday they they draw like the the the winner.
- 3:00But anyway, so that leads me onto what I was talking about
- 3:04about this whole love thing. So a lot of people ask me for
- 3:06relationship advice now. I've been dating my girlfriend
- 3:08now for 11 years and we have, you know, a kid together and
- 3:12then we've been living together for like 6 years and it's all
- 3:15good. So, you know, it's it's it's
- 3:18going well, but it isn't always easy.
- 3:20And there's a lot of things that come into play when you have a
- 3:22relationship, especially romantic relationships with with
- 3:25partners. And and I I really think that a
- 3:28lot of people struggle in this area.
- 3:30And then This is why I get so many questions about it.
- 3:32And I wanted to really go through a couple of them today
- 3:36in this video because I wanted to just talk to you guys
- 3:38directly about some ways in which we found helpful for our
- 3:41relationship. And I think that you guys
- 3:43probably will benefit from as well.
- 3:44All right, let's go on this video.
- 3:46OK. So the first thing I want to
- 3:48talk about in regards to relationships.
- 3:50So we were out on a walk today and this is how I came up with
- 3:52all this kind of stuff and the first thing, and it was a huge
- 3:56thing, it's actually very crucial in what we were doing is
- 3:59something called love language. Now, I've never really heard of
- 4:02love language. It was kind of like something
- 4:05that I'd come across on Facebook, on people doing
- 4:08quizzes on stuff, and I never thought much about it.
- 4:10But then Naomi was like, hey, we should totally do like this love
- 4:13quiz and see what our love language is.
- 4:14And I was like, sounds a bit weird, but we'll go with it.
- 4:18So basically, I think we did the Myers Briggs one.
- 4:21I know that we did the Myers Briggs in the the dog interests
- 4:24me all the time to check out the dog.
- 4:26What is it, Randy? What is it?
- 4:28What's to go under his blanket? Yes.
- 4:32So it was Myers Briggs who did the the test that we took.
- 4:36And Myers Briggs is kind of like the the go to kind of like
- 4:39psychology quiz testing. I don't know.
- 4:41I don't really know much about, like the Myers Briggs stuff.
- 4:43But I know that we did that test and it was very interesting
- 4:46because what it did is highlighted to us how we
- 4:49communicate through love. So for instance, mine, my
- 4:54language of love was more audio. So I needed to have reassurance
- 4:58from people to tell me that I'm doing a good job or that they
- 5:01appreciate what I do and they love me.
- 5:03And you know, that is how my love language works.
- 5:06So like Naomi, I, I respond to Naomi talking to me about the
- 5:09things that she wants to talk about all the things in that
- 5:13relationship rather than like just thinking that I already
- 5:17know those things. And then so for her hers was
- 5:20more like tactile. So she actually like to be
- 5:23touched. Like she likes hugs and and
- 5:25people to like, you know, like touch your shoulders and say
- 5:27you're doing a good job, you know, and and it was really
- 5:30fascinating. So we implemented this kind of,
- 5:32I don't know, you're going to call it, love language practical
- 5:36assessment into our relationship.
- 5:38And it really did. Boom.
- 5:39Now I'm going to leave a a link for this for the Myers Briggs
- 5:45kind of love language quiz in in the bottom of this video.
- 5:47So you guys can actually go ahead and and check it out and
- 5:50run it yourself and see what what's what's what.
- 5:51But in terms of in terms of our relationship, I really think
- 5:54that knowing your love language and knowing how to appropriately
- 5:58talk to the person you are in a relationship with is going to be
- 6:02just absolutely fantastic. Do you know how how to engage
- 6:05them properly? You know what they're they want
- 6:07out of the relationship. You know what they are thinking
- 6:09because of this specific love language hack.
- 6:13This is absolutely fantastic. And I think that this transcends
- 6:16over neurodiversity. I think everybody can benefit
- 6:19from knowing love language of people.
- 6:20I think that's really, really interesting.
- 6:22All right, let's go on. The next thing I want to talk
- 6:23about, he couldn't stay away from the desk.
- 6:28Oh man, Okay. So you guys don't.
- 6:30I feel like, you know, all those old school Batman movies, right.
- 6:33So along with love language, I think that one of the most
- 6:34important things really is talking to one another.
- 6:37So like when you, when you don't communicate with somebody, when
- 6:41you don't talk, when there's no kind of like flow of information
- 6:44going, you kind of have this almost expectation of somebody
- 6:48that could potentially be incorrect.
- 6:50So if you don't talk about the things that you want to eat for
- 6:52dinner that night, then there may be a disconnection there.
- 6:55That disconnection can cause all kinds of friction and cause
- 6:58relationships to kind of plummet and bad way.
- 7:01Now, talking and being open and honest is one thing.
- 7:04It's actually really good because, you know, there are
- 7:07kind of, there are things that we like, things that we don't
- 7:09like in in everything we do in our lives.
- 7:11And romantic relationships and relationships in general should
- 7:13be no exception to that. So being open and honest and
- 7:16talking about the things we like and we don't like about certain
- 7:18things is going to be amazing, especially when you're in a
- 7:21relationship with somebody who really does care and wants to
- 7:24improve that relationship. On this light.
- 7:26I'm feeling like we need to get a groove on here.
- 7:28Whoa, check this thing out. There is a, yeah, obviously
- 7:31there's a benefit from talking to somebody.
- 7:33But there's also the the the potential to enter into
- 7:36argumentative discussion. Because if you're saying
- 7:38something that the other person really doesn't like or you have
- 7:40a disagreement, unfortunately that's just the way it goes.
- 7:43And and that's the law of of being in relationships.
- 7:45And you just have to kind of go, OK, well, that's a relationship
- 7:48and that, you know, everyone says relationships will work and
- 7:51that's what they mean. You know, you work at something
- 7:52to make it kind of go anything that is worth having should be
- 7:55hard work, you know, because it's a reward for doing all that
- 7:58work. And and so the last thing I want
- 8:00to talk about I put this light on is is kind of like do what's
- 8:04true for you And and what that means is like a lot of people
- 8:08think stereotypically like that you know, women all like
- 8:13chocolates and flowers and men like you know steak and movies
- 8:17And I don't know. You know there's kind of like
- 8:19these pre requisites of these pre-existing conditions that are
- 8:23put in place for relationships that people say like this is how
- 8:26men and women should be or this is all you know, men and men
- 8:28should be all women win or whatever.
- 8:30And I'm thinking myself, that's great in a picture perfect movie
- 8:34scene but we know we're not all like movie.
- 8:35Instead the best thing to do is to find out what that person
- 8:39really likes. So same you know a date night
- 8:42for somebody I know could be, I know this this married couple.
- 8:45I know that the the wife is very kind of like she loves dressing
- 8:49flamboyant and going out and having like lavish kind of
- 8:51cocktails and big dinners and fancy stuff.
- 8:53So you know if he was to woo his wife and take her out for a
- 8:56meal, he would go to the places that he knows.
- 8:58She likes doing those things. But with like me and Naomi, we
- 9:01love nothing Ball and putting on like comfy clothes, snuggling on
- 9:04the sofa, putting Netflix on our YouTube on and then smashing
- 9:07some popcorn and pizza and what good to go.
- 9:09So it depends. You have to be true to who you
- 9:12are. There's no point in kind of
- 9:13like, you know, and again it's it's it's through the
- 9:16communicating that you'll find these things and it's through
- 9:18the love language that you'll find these things.
- 9:20But they really do make the difference.
- 9:21And and making that difference is going to make like it's so
- 9:25much difference in your life. Just just having that, having to
- 9:29know like, OK, I know that my partner really loves, you know,
- 9:32going to play golf, right. So we'll do a golf day or like
- 9:35if I know that my partner really loves, I don't know, gym and
- 9:39swimming, we're going to do gym and swimming.
- 9:40It depends what they love. It depends on what they seek as
- 9:44being to them. So do that.
- 9:46Those three hacks are going to be absolutely life changing for
- 9:50you guys. If you haven't already implanted
- 9:52any of these, this is going to be amazing.
- 9:54But if you've implanted some of them but do the other ones, I
- 9:56highly recommend the love language on because that one is
- 9:58going to be the one that's kind of most like whoa like
- 10:00effective. I think that's going to be
- 10:02really. Other than that, if you really
- 10:03want to be part of my membership website, then the link for the
- 10:06pre registration will be in the description below where you can
- 10:10actually put your registered interest with you, type the
- 10:14e-mail address in and click register my interest and then I
- 10:15will alert you when the membership goes live.
- 10:18Like I said, there's only 200 places left on the membership
- 10:21and yeah, it's going to be absolutely amazing.
- 10:23I'm really excited about it. Time to level up what doesn't,
- 10:26baby? All right, guys, in that
- 10:30sentence I'm going to go because I've got so many things to do.
- 10:32And I'll see you in the next video, guys.
