- 0:00The life of Solomon is a lesson for everyone to learn from,
- 0:04especially when we think that we can get through satisfaction
- 0:09from external things. Solomon was the wisest king in
- 0:13his time, in the whole of this world, and he had all the powers
- 0:18you can ever think of. He was the wealthiest also
- 0:22because part of the promise God gave him was that you're going
- 0:24to be the richest person in your time.
- 0:28So we see the display of wisdom with the display of wealth.
- 0:31And then he was famous. His fame spread all over every
- 0:34region because of the dexterity of his wisdom.
- 0:37But beyond just that, Solomon had 300 wives, the one he
- 0:41married from other kingdoms, the Queens, the princesses of other
- 0:45kingdoms. And he has 700 concubines,
- 0:49meaning these ones he didn't like officially, officially made
- 0:52them to be his wives, but they were having affairs.
- 0:56Do you realize that such a man, after everything that he has
- 0:59done, he now came to a conclusion that all is vanity?
- 1:05I mean, he didn't say somethings are vanity.
- 1:06So it's something that we can learn from in our pursuit for
- 1:10what we call fulfillment or that emptiness within or so for
- 1:14somebody, you think if you can get that promotion at your job
- 1:16place, you'll be satisfied. For somebody you think if you
- 1:19can increase your paycheck, then you know you, it's good for you.
- 1:23For somebody here you're thinking I need to pay my
- 1:25mortgage, I need to pay this, I need to buy this and to go for
- 1:27shopping. I need to travel around the
- 1:29world. I'll be satisfied while I'm in
- 1:30that first class, business class.
- 1:32So you see, all of those things are important to achieve.
- 1:36All of those things are great too.
- 1:37Even for somebody here, you may see, if I can just imagine the
- 1:39next president of my nation, I will be satisfied.
- 1:43Well, if the wisest, the most powerful, the most influential,
- 1:48the richest man on earth and the man that had all the women you
- 1:52can think of of different shades and shapes could still come back
- 1:55and say all is vanity. It means it's a lesson for us in
- 1:59this generation to know that truly the only thing that can
- 2:02satisfy you is God. That's why in Genesis 1 when he
- 2:06said in the beginning God. So in the beginning of
- 2:09everything, it must be God first, not any other not
- 2:13pleasure. You must come to a place where
- 2:16you realize that everything you give yourself to apart from God
- 2:21will not and cannot satisfy you. So it is only God that can bring
- 2:24us to a place of accomplishment whereby you are content with
- 2:29that what you have in as much as you hunger for more.
- 2:32But you understand that that is just an added advantage, not the
- 2:35entire substance of your life. So even if you don't have that
- 2:39job, you are contented, You are grateful to God, even if that
- 2:42next money, that next promotion didn't come true, even if you do
- 2:46not emerge as the president of the nation.
- 2:48This is not to create a mediocre mentality.
- 2:50No, I believe in pressing into all that God has for you.
- 2:55But this is a mindset that we must sustain because most times
- 2:58people think if I can give myself to everything as I will
- 3:02be satisfied. So we find the younger
- 3:04generation in many, many things trying to get this, trying to do
- 3:08this, trying to do that. Eventually we realize that all
- 3:10of those things does not equate to any satisfaction within us.
- 3:15So it means that true satisfaction only come from God.
- 3:18And I can tell you this first hand.
- 3:20That is why you can do all you need to do so long God is not at
- 3:24the epicenter of it, you'll find yourself not manifesting to the
- 3:27fullness of what He has told you to accomplish.
- 3:30So what is the message today? We must keep on pressing in in
- 3:34our quest and pursuit for God. Don't get to a place where you
- 3:37take God as a luggage. Making be the priority of your
- 3:40life. Making be the epicenter of your
- 3:43life. Making be everything that
- 3:45matters to you. Because if as you keep on
- 3:47pursuing all of those things, you keep on pursuing money,
- 3:49fame, women, men, however you know influence, you will get
- 3:53there and you still find yourself just the empty without
- 3:55God. But if you get there with God,
- 3:57that's what the psalmist you said.
- 3:58By God I can run through a troop and through him I can leap over
- 4:01a wall, he said. Then is he to wake up in the
- 4:04morning only to eat the bread of souls?
- 4:05For God giveth his beloved sleep.
- 4:08That is the word for someone today.
- 4:10God can satisfy you, God bless you and this is the daily
- 4:14transformation. Share this with your love for
- 4:15now there.
