Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Answer, heardybody, praise party. I am Sherry Mackie. It's time
- 0:04Speaker 1: right now for today's word. Rooted to rise, Rooted to rise.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Proverbs twelve and three says the root of the righteous.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Cannot be moved.
- 0:17Speaker 1: When we see a majestic oak tree standing tall after
- 0:20Speaker 1: years of fierce winds, pounding rain, and violence storms, we
- 0:23Speaker 1: often admired strength. What we don't see is what makes
- 0:28Speaker 1: that strength possible, and that's the roots. Researchers have discovered
- 0:33Speaker 1: something fascinating about trees. When strong winds push and pull
- 0:39Speaker 1: against them, the stress.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Doesn't weaken the healthy tree.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Instead, it causes the root system to.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Grow deeper and stronger.
- 0:46Speaker 1: The movement loosens the soil, allowing the roots to spread
- 0:51Speaker 1: farther and anchor themselves more securely. Ironically, a very storms
- 0:57Speaker 1: that seem determined to destroy the tree are often the
- 1:00Speaker 1: same storms that make that street tree stronger. See that's
- 1:04Speaker 1: a beautiful picture of the life of faith. None of
- 1:09Speaker 1: us enjoy storms.
- 1:10Speaker 2: We don't ask for disappointments.
- 1:12Speaker 1: We don't ask for setbacks, betrayals, sickness, financial struggles, or
- 1:16Speaker 1: seasons of uncertainty. If we had the choice, we'd gladly
- 1:20Speaker 1: skip those chapters of our story. Yet God has a
- 1:24Speaker 1: remarkable way of using what was meant to break us
- 1:28Speaker 1: to build us. The hardship you thought would destroy your
- 1:32Speaker 1: faith has actually deepened your dependence on God. The disappointment
- 1:36Speaker 1: that brought tears to your eyes has taught you to
- 1:38Speaker 1: trust his typing.
- 1:39Speaker 2: The closed door that left you.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Confuse has redirected you towards something better. The battle that
- 1:45Speaker 1: exhausted you has developed perseverance, compassion, wisdom, and spiritual maturity.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Looking back, you'll often realize that your greatest growth didn't
- 1:56Speaker 1: happen on the mountain times.
- 1:58Speaker 2: It happened in the valleys.
- 1:59Speaker 1: It was in difficult seasons that you learn God was
- 2:02Speaker 1: your provider. It was through the heartbreak that you discovered
- 2:05Speaker 1: that he's your comforter. It was during uncertainty that you
- 2:09Speaker 1: found him to be your unfailing guide. The enemy may
- 2:13Speaker 1: have intended the storm to uproot you, but God used
- 2:16Speaker 1: it to establish you. Today, if you're facing strong winds,
- 2:21Speaker 1: don't mistake the shake for abandonment. God has not left you.
- 2:25Speaker 1: He's strengthening what cannot be seen. He's developing roots of
- 2:29Speaker 1: faith that will sustain you for the next season of
- 2:32Speaker 1: your life. When the storm passes, and it will, you
- 2:35Speaker 1: won't simply survive it.
- 2:36Speaker 2: You'll stand taller. You'll be stronger, you'll love deeper.
- 2:40Speaker 1: You'll trust God more completely than ever before. Others may
- 2:44Speaker 1: wonder how you're still standing after everything you've endured.
- 2:48Speaker 2: The answer is simple. Your roots are.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Planted in Christ. The storm may bend you, but it
- 2:53Speaker 1: cannot break you. The winds may shake you, but it
- 2:56Speaker 1: cannot uproot you. Because when your life is rooted in God,
- 3:00Speaker 1: every trial becomes an opportunity for greater strength, greater faith,
- 3:04Speaker 1: and greater fruitfulness. Stand firm, your roots are deeper, and
- 3:09Speaker 1: your best days are still ahead. Oh Father God, thank
- 3:13Speaker 1: you for being the solid foundation beneath our lives.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Thank you so.
- 3:17Speaker 1: When the storms come you never leave our side. Instead
- 3:20Speaker 1: of allowing trials to weaken us, you use them to
- 3:23Speaker 1: strengthen our faith and deepen our character and draw us
- 3:26Speaker 1: closer to You. Help us God, to trust you when
- 3:28Speaker 1: we can't see what you're doing. Beneath the surface, God,
- 3:31Speaker 1: we declare that our roots are firmly planted in your promises,
- 3:34Speaker 1: and because of.
- 3:35Speaker 2: You we will not be moved.
- 3:37Speaker 1: We believe every challenge is preparing us for greater strength,
- 3:41Speaker 1: greater purpose, and greater blessings in Jesus' name.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Now that's your word for today.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Take it apply to your everyday life, and you continue
- 3:49Speaker 1: to be encouraged and inspired. It's your early morning praise party.
- 3:52Speaker 1: I am Sherry Mackie.
