- 0:00SPEAKER_00: My gosh, it's already Tuesday.
- 0:02SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 0:02SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 0:03SPEAKER_01: I feel really good.
- 0:04SPEAKER_00: We're over.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: Did you get sleep last night?
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: Because I know yesterday you had said you you didn't appear to be tired to me.
- 0:10SPEAKER_01: Oh, I was so off yesterday.
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: Oh, you seemed so funny.
- 0:15SPEAKER_01: I was not well.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: And part of that was not well.
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: I wasn't.
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: And part of that was I bartended a wedding over the weekend and it really took it out of me.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: Now, I I just want to let you know, we're gonna talk about this wedding on the Not for Air podcast.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: But it's not coming out till next Tuesday.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: But it's amazing It's a worthwhile wait.
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: It's one of those things where you want to listen to the podcast.
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: Oh, somebody came up to me at Gus Macker and said that they listened to the podcast, albeit a little bit younger.
- 0:41SPEAKER_01: And I thought, oh.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: Very good.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: Maybe.
- 0:45SPEAKER_01: Also.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: How young?
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: Uh probably like 13.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: That's how I got it.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: You gotta leave certain decisions up to parents on what they find acceptable.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: And I as soon as she said, as soon as she said podcast, I got a little critic.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: Like, were you were you listening to On Demand, where you can go back and hear segments of the show?
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: Because that's there by design.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: You know, you you take it in when you can.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: I kind of was hoping because I think it was the latest podcast where we talked about what season do you get the friskiest?
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: Like, do you get frisky in summer?
- 1:20SPEAKER_01: And so that was the first segment I thought of when she was like, I listened to your podcast.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because uh the reason for it to be the not for her podcast is you can go a little further, a lot further, than uh what we do right here.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: Speaking of going further, thank God I wasn't too far from the bathroom yesterday.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: I was beginning to think, oh my god.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: Siglespora! Uh yes, I thought, oh my God, I had a salad the other day.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: And I did throw, I threw out a bag.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: I had to throw it out anyway.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: It was past its uh prime.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: But I threw out a bag.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: So Sam's Club and them are selling Taylor Farms uh chopped salad.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: That one the other day.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: Not chopped salad like the, you know, the kits, I'm not as big into salad kits because it's always coleslaw or not coleslaw, it's always cabbage.
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: Cabbage.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, oh, that's what I like.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: Uh see, I'm trying to burble it up.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: I like well, that'll clean you out too.
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: I'm trying to get cyclespore over here.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: That's like sweeping it out of your system.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: But do you ever notice every salad kit?
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: Rotor rootering.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: Totally.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: Every salad kit, unless it's a Caesar salad where they can't avoid putting lettuce or romaine in it, they're always cabbage kits.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: And it's like sometimes I like to have just a lettuce.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: I got the Southwest one last week.
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: And I I don't know if it was you.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: Somebody commented, like, oh, taking it, taking it in your own hands, huh?
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: Like, yeah, why not?
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: So I had one that was the chopped uh, you know, it was just the um uh iceberg lettuce.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, well, it's already past its prime, it's gotta go anyway.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: But I looked at it's liquidy.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: And I I don't know if anybody else is doing yeah, right.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: There's a couple pieces, you're like, oh, I'm not drinking that.
- 2:47SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: Has anybody else started looking at the packages going, nope, Taylor Farms not doing that?
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: I was surprised that they're still carrying that.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: Actually, so since we're here, the FDA says a lettuce sample from Taylor Farms we know yesterday was a false positive.
- 3:04SPEAKER_01: However, their investigation is pointing to that.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: Was it shredded?
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: Was it shredded?
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: No, this was just regular, you know, because they have caught up.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: They're pointing to shredded iceberg lettuce from Taylor Farms still, yeah, but in central Mexico.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: So it wasn't it it's not like it's um I mean it's still present, you know, as far as like Taylor Farms being the the culprit.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: Unless, yeah, because a false positive is not a clear negative.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: Um and and unless you go to the Ithaca Farm Market or one of the farm markets around here, I don't know where exactly it's shipped in.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: I don't know where Sam's gets their boxes from.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: I'm not pointing a bad finger at Sam's.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: I'm just telling you, I have become observant of who the supplier is when I'm looking at stuff.
- 3:47SPEAKER_01: Now that maybe sometimes it's Dole, sometimes it's Taylor.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: That being said, I think I have not cyclospora, a bit of a lactose intolerance.
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: No.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: Only a bit.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: Let me explain why.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: So we had a yes, so we had a very quick doctor's appointment for Gavin yesterday.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: He just had to get his hearing check.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: And I want to let you know.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: Did you go to Oh, maybe I shouldn't ask.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: Guthrie.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: Okay, I went there too.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: The side building next next to the hospital?
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, member.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: And you sit in the sound booth, which is nicer than the studio.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:17SPEAKER_01: Remember when I was having hearing issues a couple years ago?
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: What?
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry, I'm kidding.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: Yes, I do.
- 4:24SPEAKER_01: I really thought he didn't hear me.
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: Anyway, yeah.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: So it was lovely.
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: And it's so, it's so quiet.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: Oh, I don't know.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: I wasn't in the soundproof booth.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: I'm like, nah, you know, I do that enough all day.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: So uh at any rate, uh, I'm proud to announce that Gavin has perfect selective hearing.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: So that was the same with me when I went.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: Oh, I've known you've had selective hearing and it's been perfect for years.
- 4:46SPEAKER_01: They said there's nothing wrong with your hearing.
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: I'm like, no, but really, there it sounds like I'm in a pool.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: No, your hearing is actually really good.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: I'm like, You're losing it.
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: But okay, let me ask you, do you think it might be an allergy thing?
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: No, no, it's it's it's just selective.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: He figured out he gets very selective, yeah.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: No, he gets when he gets excited about a video or something he watches, it cranks up.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: It's like everybody has to hear it, whether you had planned to or not.
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: So that's me with a song.
- 5:13SPEAKER_01: Um, if you see me down 8617 and my hands waving out the air.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: Well, shocker, you're not 12 anymore.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: So, you know, it was a little concerning, you know.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: I was, but now I've figured out no, it's when he gets excited.
- 5:25SPEAKER_01: Sometimes you're just feeling the vibe.
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, right, exactly.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: And I don't understand any of the vibes of the videos he watches, here nor there.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: Back to the cyclospora of what why I thought that.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: So as we're leaving, coming up 352, I said, You guys want ice cream?
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: And they're like, Oh, of course! Yes.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: So we stopped at Weird Walters.
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: Now, oh, I love that place.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, the ice cream there is excellent, but you have to be prepared.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: It's very rich.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: It comes from a special farm in Pennsylvania.
- 5:50SPEAKER_01: It's like a mini um, what do they call it?
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: A micro creamery.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: So I ended up getting, I should have just gotten one scoop.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: I ended up getting two scoops.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: And I got through it, and within about an hour and a half, I had to get through it again.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: If you know what I mean, because and that's when I realized I'm like, well, that's the only thing I've eaten.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: And it was only one time, so it wasn't like, you know, a Taylor Farms uh explosive thing.
- 6:14SPEAKER_01: You're gonna have to go for like the Dole Whip now.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: I th no, I think maybe cut back a bit instead of two scoops, go with one.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: But that was for me.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: I was like, because it doesn't hit me when I when I have cereal.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: Uh that doesn't bother me.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: Um what about cheese?
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: Nope, cheese doesn't bother me.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: It's the real rich, rich ice cream.
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: And that is, that is that's a powerful ice cream.
- 6:35SPEAKER_01: Not that I don't care about your diarrhea, but what flavor did you get?
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: Uh oh, it was a mint chocolate crumble.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: So it had Oreos in the mint chocolate.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, it was good.
- 6:42SPEAKER_01: The s'mores one, top tier.
- 6:44SPEAKER_01: I have that.
- 6:45SPEAKER_01: That one's my favorite.
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: I love it.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it see, me with peanut butter, no.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: Me with marshmallows, no.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: So it it's just not my not my thing.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: But I it was still amazing all the way, all the way through the two scoops.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I love this.
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: And then later on I realized I didn't.
- 7:01SPEAKER_01: But Okay, back to Gavin, though.
- 7:02SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 7:02SPEAKER_01: So he it it never sounds muffled though.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: Because it's it's not that at all.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: It's just we thought because he'd play his iPad real loud or a TV from time to time or a device.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: We're thinking, like, i is there a little bit of a hearing thing, and sometimes he'll talk real loud.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: Well, that's genetics.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: Look at his father.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: I mean, I can't walk through the house and not be like, Hi No offense, but I feel like this is kind of a waste of a doctor's appointment.
- 7:24SPEAKER_01: I kind of feel it too.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: But you know what?
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: You can say it was checked out, so
