- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome to the emotional mastery podcast.
- 0:03Speaker 1: I am your host, rochelle.
- 0:04Speaker 1: I'm a holistic human design health coach and this is a space for human design and spiritual journey.
- 0:10Speaker 1: It's not about being a master of your emotions, rather mastering the tools to self-wrangulate, to awakening yourself and remembering who you are.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Human design changed my life about five years ago and I've been learning and teaching the system ever since.
- 0:24Speaker 1: This podcast is human design meets spirituality, meets astrology.
- 0:27Speaker 1: You don't have to have a belief system to be here, just an open mind and curiosity.
- 0:32Speaker 1: This is a journey of meeting yourself and awakening to your infinite potential.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Now let the magic begin.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Welcome back to another episode of the emotional mastery podcast.
- 0:43Speaker 1: This past week has literally been wild, in the most beautiful way and, of course, with everything that brings excitement and optimism and all the things.
- 0:56Speaker 1: There's also that other side of it where sometimes we question things, we second guess things, we question our worth.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Am I actually worthy of this thing?
- 1:06Speaker 1: Can this thing be real?
- 1:07Speaker 1: And waiting for the other shoe to drop energy and I usually really cycle in that and I have been noticing a lot of patterns around just my thoughts and those subconscious beliefs, instilled from childhood, of this.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess that waiting for the other shoe to drop energy, but I'm noticing when those thoughts come in.
- 1:29Speaker 1: I'm reminding myself that our thoughts create our emotions, thus creating our reality, and so if I'm focusing on those thoughts, then of course I'm going to bring those things into my reality, whereas if I can just trust the way that I feel, trust my emotions and what they're bringing and the good feeling and just leaning towards that, because I think it was on Halloween, I was talking to somebody and mentioning marketing and two opportunities came to me in two days.
- 1:57Speaker 1: So Halloween, I think, was last Tuesday, and there was an opportunity, a freelance opportunity, that came to me on Thursday and then on Friday I got this other opportunity, and it's like it's so easy for us to question that, you know, it's so easy for us to.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I was actually just talking to Greg, who I'm doing the reset number race program with, and we were talking about manifestation and he was talking about the how.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Like I have this manifestation and then how am I going to get there?
- 2:24Speaker 1: And the trick is to release the how, because when I put out in the universe marketing, or when I put out this desire to create abundance or create opportunities, my mind could have been like, well, okay, I need to send out applications, which I did.
- 2:41Speaker 1: But you know, it's like the action of doing right, like setting out the applications and looking in this direction, but if I'm not open to all of the possibilities, I might pass things up.
- 2:49Speaker 1: And then, trusting that feeling that comes with it, that excitement, you know and I was telling someone today about it and, of course, the energy was a little bit on the pessimistic side and it's so easy to get wrapped up in that and it's like, well, yeah, that could happen.
- 3:04Speaker 1: But also like I just feel good for this right.
- 3:06Speaker 1: And I think sometimes, when we're doing things that are a little bit non traditional or a little bit risky, people with, you know, good intentions want to maybe guide us or remind us of all the possibilities.
- 3:19Speaker 1: But also, I think, if we're trusting ourselves, if it lights us up, if we're trusting our authority, for me that's emotional, so sort of like I waited a while, I asked a few more questions, I got a little bit of clarity and then I was like, yeah, like this feels good, and so I've also been doing the work around.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I've been doing TBM unblocked money and so I've been doing the work around that and it's just just been so cool.
- 3:38Speaker 1: And I love and money are very similar energies and so in that arena as well, things are happening that it's like that like pinch me moment type thing.
- 3:49Speaker 1: And again, it would be easy to get wrapped up in the mind and we so often cycle back to our past experiences, so when I feel something, I'm immediately brought back to.
- 4:01Speaker 1: I think it was Ken Close in the podcast episode in May which was like by far the like.
- 4:06Speaker 1: You guys love that episode, so if you have not listened to it, go back and listen to it.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I think it has the most downloads of the entire year.
- 4:13Speaker 1: But he was talking about by the age of 30, we're going to have experienced every emotion that there is right, and so every emotion that then comes up.
- 4:21Speaker 1: There's no new emotional experience, right?
- 4:23Speaker 1: And so then after that time, after 30, every emotional experience that comes up is attached to an experience from the past, right, and it's so easy to feel something and then be launched into the past and that subconscious belief of like, well, that happened that time, it must be what's going to happen this time.
- 4:37Speaker 1: And so this whole surrender thing, this just surrendering to the universe, to God, to source, to spirit, whatever term you want to use, it's all the same.
- 4:45Speaker 1: In my opinion, it's like you're asking for something the universe is providing, of course, like discern, like what actually is underlying that and the feelings.
- 4:56Speaker 1: And this is why it's so great to make lists of what you want, whether it's career, whether it's, you know, love, relationships, partnerships, business, like whatever.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Make lists so that you can then reference, write down your wins.
- 5:10Speaker 1: I mean, it's just.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I just I feel like I have been feeling magnetic for a couple months, but there was always like one area like I was feeling magnetic when it came to relationships, but then, you know, the business was sort of suffering, and so now I just I feel, I feel like, I feel excited, I feel opportunities, I feel magnetic, I feel in my power and I'm reminding myself of my power that I don't have to.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess, just like believing in my worth and believing in myself and believing that, no matter what happens, I will always be good right, because I am me, I am a higher self, I am that.
- 5:45Speaker 1: I am like I can always come back to the space inside of myself, because I had a moment today where I've been like riding this high, and so, in the back of my mind, I'm like, okay, the higher, the high, the lower, the low.
- 5:54Speaker 1: And although that is true, it doesn't have to be right, it doesn't have to.
- 5:59Speaker 1: I don't have to sit here and be like, oh my gosh, I'm like so high right now, I'm like gonna crash tomorrow.
- 6:03Speaker 1: You know which may happen.
- 6:05Speaker 1: But it's also, it's just doing the work.
- 6:07Speaker 1: It's noticing your patterns.
- 6:08Speaker 1: It's doing the work.
- 6:09Speaker 1: It's taking aligned action, which is always the hardest piece for me, and this episode with Patty Oliver we talk about that aligned action and how important that really is to the work, and so this conversation was amazing.
- 6:22Speaker 1: I'm really excited to it, to it, for you to listen to it.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Patty Oliver is an energy healer, author and spiritual advisor.
- 6:30Speaker 1: She teaches people about their energy field and how they can change their entire life by learning to clear blocks and take back their power.
- 6:37Speaker 1: We talk a lot about clearing energetic cords, clearing karmic cords, like all the things.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Patty has been blessed with the gift of divine communication and intuitive energy healing and, for the past 12 years, has had the honor of helping hundreds of people around the world change their lives for the better.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Her mission is to teach as many people as she can about their own ability to create the life of their dreams by embracing their personal power and leading a soul driven life.
- 7:02Speaker 1: We talk about the Akashic records.
- 7:04Speaker 1: We talk about past life healing.
- 7:07Speaker 1: We talk about karmic work.
- 7:09Speaker 1: We talk about just like so much right clearing, karma, energetic hygiene.
- 7:14Speaker 1: We talk about family ties and it was just such a great conversation and I'm really excited to share it with you.
- 7:22Speaker 1: I'm really excited for you all to listen to this and always I don't know when we recorded this, I think maybe in June it's always like divine timing when I go back and edit these and I'm like whoa, it was such a good conversation, so I'm really excited to share this one.
- 7:36Speaker 1: So, the reset and embrace container, the three month container we had our first call last Sunday, this past Sunday well, we had our, so two calls, but this last Sunday was the start of this three month container.
- 7:48Speaker 1: So if you did not get in and you are interested, you can still join.
- 7:52Speaker 1: We talked about your shadows through the lens of human design and astrology.
- 7:55Speaker 1: This past Sunday, we did a meet your shadow meditation, which was absolutely beautiful, and when you sign up, you get the replays, you get the workbooks.
- 8:04Speaker 1: You get the meditation.
- 8:05Speaker 1: I chopped them up so you just have the meditation, so you don't have to watch the whole video.
- 8:08Speaker 1: You get, yeah, all that stuff within that container and you're getting live calls with Greg and I.
- 8:16Speaker 1: You have access to a WhatsApp coaching container where you can ask questions and connect with everyone else in the program.
- 8:25Speaker 1: And this is really just working through moving through these blocks and rewiring our subconscious and getting really clear on the things that we want, through the lens of human design and astrology, and using breath work and meditation to really reinforce those beliefs and just taking accountability and riding the rate, the wave of, like, the momentum within the group, and manifesting, because we have two months oh gosh, less than two months left of 2023, which is absolutely wild, but we have, like, less than two months left and you know, this Eclipse season was so intense and so for a lot of people I know not everybody, but for most people, I'm sure you felt the energy of the past month and really like, since July, it's just been wild, and so we are taking everything that came up during that time because I'm sure, if you felt that, a lot of shadows came up.
- 9:12Speaker 1: So we're moving through that we're working with the intentions that you set and we're really just because you know these Eclipse portals, the work and the magic happens six months, right?
- 9:23Speaker 1: So six months in between.
- 9:25Speaker 1: It's not like it happens overnight it can, but typically it takes like a six month time period to really notice these manifestations coming in.
- 9:31Speaker 1: And so we're here to support you and guide you and really like make you more magnetic and really do the work and show up and rewire that subconscious belief so that you can really call in those things that you are desiring.
- 9:43Speaker 1: So if you're interested in that, you can click the link in the bio.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Holistic Human Design Academy is now a self paced course so you can go also and join that.
- 9:51Speaker 1: That link is also in the bio, of course, one-on-one sessions I absolutely love those my favorite thing and so you can book that.
- 9:59Speaker 1: If you want more support and more clarity, I have a handful of astrology transit updates that I do.
- 10:06Speaker 1: So DM me or send me an email if you're interested in that.
- 10:09Speaker 1: It's like a monthly, monthly astrology report with human design we've in there so that you can understand what the energy of the next month is and how it may affect you.
- 10:20Speaker 1: And so just having that awareness, I find, not to make it, not to plan your days around that, but just to have awareness of the energy so that when it comes up, you can sort of understand or, I guess, have the awareness that it might not just be you Right, like it's, it's it's.
- 10:36Speaker 1: We're always being the energy, we're feeling the energy, we're picking up on the energy.
- 10:41Speaker 1: So that is that and everything you need to know is down the show notes.
- 10:44Speaker 1: You can find Patty on Instagram.

- 11:39Speaker 1: So I appreciate you so much and I will talk to you next week.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Welcome to the emotional mastery podcast.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Today I have Patty Oliver, who is an energy healer, author and spiritual advisor, and so I'm really excited to have this conversation.
- 11:54Speaker 1: I know you work with the Akashic Records and I have a bunch of questions about the Akashic Records.
- 11:58Speaker 1: I think they're fascinating, but we will get there.
- 12:00Speaker 1: I'm going to just hand you the floor to introduce yourself and sort of tell your story.
- 12:05Speaker 1: You know any defining moments along the way that have gotten to you or you're at today.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Well, awesome.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Well, thank you for having me, michelle.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Yes, I like to say that I never consciously set out to be an energy healer, especially something in called the Akashic Records.
- 12:25Speaker 2: I like to say that it found me when I was ready and it was definitely something that came out of personal trauma.
- 12:35Speaker 2: It was back in 2007 and I had been diagnosed with breast cancer and I had two young kids at the time and I was married.
- 12:45Speaker 2: It wasn't the happiest of marriages, but I was married and prior to that I had been widowed.
- 12:52Speaker 2: So I definitely had had my challenges in that particular area of my life and, up until then, just a lot of anxiety about life being accepted, wanting to fit in, and all those uncertainties and things that actually a lot of my clients that come to me now deal with same thing.
- 13:14Speaker 2: I was there myself.
- 13:16Speaker 2: So during that time where I was healing from the breast cancer and the chemo, I decided I really need to make myself happy and empowered.
- 13:28Speaker 2: And how am I going to do that?
- 13:29Speaker 2: So, after a lot of soul searching, I decided that I really wanted to be an entrepreneur.
- 13:36Speaker 2: I had had a successful career in advertising before I had kids and while I was good at it.
- 13:43Speaker 2: I didn't love it and I thought you know, I want to just do something that is nurturing and giving, and I want people to feel good about themselves, especially coming out of breast cancer.
- 13:57Speaker 2: So I decided to become an esthetician, which is a skincare professional.
- 14:03Speaker 2: So I went to night school, was mom during the day, went to school at night and then, after about a year, I opened up a skincare spa in the small town where I still live and was immediately successful and but was also interesting is about three to four weeks after I opened, I got a phone call one night and it was really kind of out of the blue Someone I didn't know very well and they said we're having a networking meeting, we'd love to have you come, and I thought, ok, I had all kinds of reasons to not go, but I thought this was too strange.
- 14:44Speaker 2: I need to follow through on this.
- 14:45Speaker 2: So I did go and it was there that I met an energy healer which I had never heard of, and this person was a Reiki master and I had never heard of Reiki either.
- 14:58Speaker 2: So that was my very first introduction to energy healing and I had my first treatment.
- 15:06Speaker 2: I was highly skeptical of the whole thing that I did and I was blown away with how good I felt and I was rejuvenated and I was having some residual pain that went away and I thought, oh my goodness, I have to do this.
- 15:24Speaker 2: So that's how I first started in energy healing work.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Thank you for starting that.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I love how things happen like that and I think a lot of the healers out there.
- 15:36Speaker 1: We have to go through our own pain and struggles in order to come out and be able to heal, and I think not any of us are really like I'm going to be a healer, I'm going to go through all this trauma.
- 15:47Speaker 1: It just happens.
- 15:49Speaker 1: And I actually just had a Reiki session last night and I definitely resonate with that.
- 15:54Speaker 1: I mean, the things that she said were I was just like whoa, that's like on point to what I was experiencing, and so it is.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Yeah, it's really interesting.
- 16:04Speaker 1: So up until that point, when you met this Reiki master, were you spiritual at all or was more like?
- 16:12Speaker 1: I know you said you went from advertising to the salon.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Was there a spiritual aspect to that?
- 16:19Speaker 2: Well, no, I was always into spirituality, but more for fun.
- 16:25Speaker 2: I thought it was fun to go see a psychic or to do some tarot cards or something like that, but I just left it at that.
- 16:34Speaker 2: I never, ever dreamed I would ever be doing anything that was spiritual or intuitive or anything like that.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Yeah and then.
- 16:46Speaker 1: So then you met the Reiki master.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Is Reiki the healing that you modelled, that you use now?
- 16:52Speaker 1: I do.
- 16:54Speaker 2: But it's really what opened me up to energy work and specifically the Akashic records.
- 17:01Speaker 2: So how that happened was I got certified in level one and I eventually worked my way up and actually even taught Reiki for a while.
- 17:10Speaker 2: But I started at level one and just started adding some very basic energy healing sessions and still skeptical even myself, going oh, how's this going to work.
- 17:21Speaker 2: But my clients were getting very similar responses that I was getting and it was wonderful.
- 17:29Speaker 2: And so over time I had more and more people coming to me for the energy work.
- 17:35Speaker 2: And then I started getting intuitive, which I didn't really realize.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Someone had to point it out to me.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Actually, I had all these things I was thinking about during a session and I thought, oh, I just need to focus more.
- 17:51Speaker 2: And then she had started talking about her session and I put two and two together and I said to myself I saw that, I sensed that, I felt that, so I started playing with that.
- 18:05Speaker 2: I said I'm going to start talking during my sessions about what I'm experiencing as I'm working on somebody.
- 18:12Speaker 2: And, oh my goodness, that opened a floodgate.
- 18:14Speaker 2: People were like, yes, yes, that makes sense, yes, and I just got more and more and more until it was just a constant intuitive session from beginning to end, and so that went on for some time.
- 18:31Speaker 2: And then I decided I needed to make a choice.
- 18:33Speaker 2: I can't do all skin care and all the energy work.
- 18:37Speaker 2: I still wanted to be mom and after a lot of thought I decided I'm going to sell off the skin care and do Reiki full time.
- 18:48Speaker 2: And some people thought I was crazy, but again, it was just something I felt was the right thing to do.
- 18:57Speaker 2: And as I leaned into that and started doing full time energy work, something really amazing happened.
- 19:04Speaker 2: I was working on this gal and I could just sense that the things she was dealing with in this particular current life started in a past life and that was new.
- 19:20Speaker 2: So I'm thinking I need to check this out.
- 19:23Speaker 2: So I'm a researcher at heart.
- 19:26Speaker 2: I love to know why, and I started diving into books and reading Dolores Cannon and people like that, and I came upon the term Akashic Records and I'm like that's what I need to do.
- 19:39Speaker 2: So I sought that out, I did some reading, I sought out some mentors and I just started working strictly in Akashic Records and that's my modality of choice now for the last seven, almost eight years, I think.
- 19:58Speaker 1: Yeah, is that something anybody can learn?
- 20:02Speaker 2: Yes, yes, you can learn it.
- 20:06Speaker 2: I have a course on my site on how you can learn to do that.
- 20:10Speaker 2: But it is your Akashic Record, is an inherent part of you.
- 20:16Speaker 2: It's part of our DNA.
- 20:19Speaker 2: It's information that's stored within us that helps serve as a reference and helps serves as a guide for all of our experiences that we have throughout our life.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Mm-hmm, you can really think of the Akashic Records as an energetic database.
- 20:38Speaker 2: It has all the information, not only about the universe and past, present and future, but it holds all the information about you.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Every soul has its own Akashic Records so that, like I said, can be accessed intuitively, and it tells all about the gifts that you have, your strengths, your attributes, all the things that you were blessed with to create your abundance while you're here on Earth.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Should you choose we come in with free will, you must choose it and it also holds something called your karma, and karma is one of those terms that gets tossed around a lot, that people have lots of opinions on what it is and they usually think it's very negative.
- 21:28Speaker 2: But karma is really just energy, just like everything is energy, and that energy is simply a choice that you made in a past life that didn't serve you, that didn't align to you.
- 21:46Speaker 2: And then laws of karma kick in and it says for any negative choice that's been made, it will persist and repeat until balanced out by a positive choice, no matter how long or how many lifetimes that might take.
- 22:04Speaker 2: So that ends up being all of the repeating patterns in your life Money problems, relationship challenges, family drama, health problems.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Those are usually on auto replay in our life and they tend to be karmic.
- 22:28Speaker 1: So I have two questions.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Yes, so if we're, do we have to?
- 22:33Speaker 1: So I did about maybe a year ago, maybe two years ago, it might have been during 2020.
- 22:37Speaker 1: So maybe three years ago, I don't know.
- 22:39Speaker 1: I did do an Akashic Records course and the very first time I tapped in I felt this full, like it was just like it flooded me.
- 22:46Speaker 1: And then, of course, I didn't experience it to that extent Like afterwards, doing the prayer and things like that, and my energy is very sometimes all over the place.
- 22:57Speaker 1: So it's hard for me to be consistent because I'm always learning so many different things.
- 23:02Speaker 1: I just love to learn.
- 23:03Speaker 1: But is there, do we have to set a specific prayer or intention to tap into the Akashic Records, and is everything we're receiving essentially from the Akashic Records?
- 23:15Speaker 2: My answer would be yes to both of those.
- 23:17Speaker 2: I think it's really important to set an intention, because the Akashic Records are full of information and if you don't have something specific in mind that you want to draw on, you'll get overwhelmed or you will get a bunch of information that seems very vague and then you don't know what to use with it.
- 23:42Speaker 2: I used an analogy once when I was teaching and I said it's kind of like going to Costco without a shopping list.
- 23:48Speaker 2: You'll wander through the aisles and look at all the great stuff and go oh and not know what to do with it.
- 23:56Speaker 2: So when I teach it, I do teach you in access and then questions to ask.
- 24:06Speaker 2: You set the intention and one intention at a time.
- 24:09Speaker 2: I intend to go in to ask about my marriage to such and such, or with my mother or with my father, whoever, so that you zero in on exactly what you want to retrieve and then you ask specific questions so that what you receive, you know, is relevant to what you're asking.
- 24:29Speaker 2: Now, intuitive information, as you might know, can be highly symbolic, so you have to be willing to just kind of take it in and think about.
- 24:43Speaker 2: I mean, sometimes it hits you between the eyes it's like oh OK.
- 24:46Speaker 2: Other times it's a bit of a riddle and you have to take it apart and look at it, and sometimes you only get a little bit of a story at a time, depending on what took place, where you're at in your healing journey and how much you can absorb healthfully and in a healthy way.
- 25:09Speaker 2: And sometimes there's layers to certain stories that you have to unravel, so you have to be willing to be a bit of a detective and sometimes be patient with what you receive.
- 25:24Speaker 1: How do we discern all of that that's coming through Like if we're new to it?
- 25:30Speaker 2: Ask clarifying questions.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Yeah, ask clarifying questions and sometimes you might get insight.
- 25:41Speaker 2: At other times Maybe you might get something you're not sure about.
- 25:47Speaker 2: And even if you're clarifying, and then you say, ok, maybe help me put two and two together at some point and you're talking to your guides, right, it's like send me a synchronicity that I can understand, right, spirit guides want to help.
- 26:05Speaker 2: They're very helpful and if you ask, you will receive.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Sometimes, again, it's obvious, sometimes you got to make the connection, but that would be my best answer.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Is everything that we're receiving from the Akashic records for the highest good, because I know some karmic things may be negative from past lives and things like that but is the information that the Akashic records and putting out all specific vibration I believe so.
- 26:40Speaker 2: Everything is always happening for your highest good, even if it seems negative at first.
- 26:46Speaker 2: And that's because, in my opinion, you need to clear your karma first, because until you clear your karma, which is we perceive as inherently negative because it's working against us Not that someone's doing something to us, we're choosing it.
- 27:04Speaker 2: Karma is highly individual.
- 27:06Speaker 2: It's not what's done to you because that's their karma.
- 27:10Speaker 2: It's how you respond to what's being done to you or in the situation that you're in and what you're choosing.
- 27:17Speaker 2: And if you keep making the same negative choice, a negative choice could be fear, could be self-doubt, could be anxiety, and then you don't speak your truth, you don't stand in your light, those types of things, those could be karmic patterns, and then we take them into all life areas, so we might be presented with something that we feel is negative or like well, I don't want to deal with that.
- 27:43Speaker 2: Until you do, you'll just keep repeating it.
- 27:48Speaker 2: So that's my perspective on I think everything is always for your highest good, even if you perceive it as negative.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Yeah, and I like what you said about karma just being those patterns that we're repeating, and I think everybody who's listening, we all can see that when we really slow down to look at it, we know what our patterns are.
- 28:09Speaker 1: So you talk about clearing it, and that was going to be my next question how do you go about clearing these karmic patterns or ties that we have in this life?
- 28:20Speaker 2: Well, honestly, it's making a new choice.
- 28:23Speaker 2: I mean, if you're not going in, what I do in my course is I teach you how to ask for clearing and how to ask for healing.
- 28:32Speaker 2: But it always requires new action on your part to actually clear something.
- 28:39Speaker 2: Because we live in a third dimensional world.
- 28:43Speaker 2: We're action oriented.
- 28:45Speaker 2: So thinking about doing it is one thing, actually doing it is another, and that's literally how you ultimately will clear your karma.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Even when I'm working with clients and I'll say, because people do feel the clearing, just like any type of energy work, you do tend to feel it I describe it as a detox of energy.
- 29:10Speaker 2: So you could be very fatigued, you can be very tired.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Some people get really, really energized.
- 29:16Speaker 2: Everybody's really different.
- 29:17Speaker 2: But in addition to feeling that the universe will always present you with a situation that holds the same energy to get you to make a new choice, it's like, ok, rochelle, here's, you wanted to clear this anxiety.
- 29:33Speaker 2: Here you go.
- 29:34Speaker 2: What are you going to choose this time?
- 29:36Speaker 2: And it's always moving through that to make a new choice.
- 29:41Speaker 2: And then, yeah, that's right to extend on that, because we're very holistic.
- 29:48Speaker 2: We don't compartmentalize our life right, like, say, you're having challenges in family, right, or with your marriage or with your kids.
- 29:58Speaker 2: But then we tend to do the same types of things in all of our life in our career, with our friends, with our spiritual life or our relaxation aspects of our self.
- 30:12Speaker 2: We tend to do the same things, even if they're in different relationships.
- 30:17Speaker 2: And so then once you undo karma here in one life area, you usually have to address it in all the other life areas, because we're creatures of habit.
- 30:28Speaker 2: We tend to do that, and it takes time.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Yeah, healing is not a one in your done thing for sure.
- 30:36Speaker 1: No, it's definitely not, and I think, like you said, once you intend to clear something and then it has the test or however you wanna phrase it to actually take the action to clear it, it usually happens pretty quick.
- 30:49Speaker 1: I feel like it's like yes, it does.
- 30:53Speaker 2: Well, and see, that's the beauty you were in charge as being in a physical body, you have ultimate domain, what you say goes.
- 31:00Speaker 2: That's why it's really important literally what you say, and then if you follow through in action what you say, then we can always course correct.
- 31:09Speaker 2: And so we're like you know what I want to heal this aspect of me.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Please bring me opportunities to do that.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Like you said, it shows up pretty quickly.
- 31:19Speaker 2: The other thing that can happen too is that and maybe you've experienced this is say that you do take new action and you start to unwind things.
- 31:29Speaker 2: You might be tested for a while.
- 31:31Speaker 2: The universe wants to make sure that you're good with your new response, so you might get tested.
- 31:40Speaker 2: You can usually see this pretty often with dating.
- 31:44Speaker 2: Just to make it a real clear, obvious example, it's like why am I dating the same type of guy?
- 31:49Speaker 2: And then suddenly you might attract one or maybe two more and you're like what's going on here?
- 31:55Speaker 2: Well, you're just being tested to make sure that you're gonna uphold what you say you're gonna uphold.
- 32:00Speaker 2: So be aware of that too.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I'm currently moving through something that I feel is definitely testing my response and my ability to actually, or my want to really, change that, and it's just yeah.
- 32:15Speaker 1: There's a spectrum of emotions that go with it, right, and I think it's really for me in my practice it's really just coming back.
- 32:21Speaker 1: This morning I just did a little bit of breath work and I just tapped in.
- 32:23Speaker 1: I was like, okay, what does yes feel like in my body?
- 32:26Speaker 1: What does a no feel like in my body?
- 32:27Speaker 1: To see what my body actually wants, because the mind is so loud Like I literally was like walking around this morning.
- 32:32Speaker 1: I woke up, I was like making my coffee and I had a moment where I paused and I was like, whoa, like that voice that's in my head is just like will not shut up today, right, and it's so easy to like.
- 32:42Speaker 1: I feel like let that take over and we believe what it says so often, right, and it's-.
- 32:49Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's like Absolutely Mm-hmm, like observing that and just letting it like, knowing that it's not always the truth.
- 32:57Speaker 2: Well, that's really critical and you know you're very self-aware on that, but a lot of people aren't there yet.
- 33:03Speaker 2: And then there's this controversy.
- 33:06Speaker 2: Well, do you need an empowered mindset?
- 33:07Speaker 2: Is it?
- 33:07Speaker 2: Do you really need to?
- 33:08Speaker 2: You know, have positive thoughts?
- 33:09Speaker 2: Well, it's all in there, it's all in the mix is really important, and one of the things that I teach in my course is mental mastery, emotional mastery, spiritual and physical mastery, because you're all four of those.
- 33:27Speaker 2: So if you don't address the mental aspect of who you are as a human being and learn to override, it's not to ignore, right?
- 33:38Speaker 2: If you're having negative thoughts, rather than going down that proverbial rabbit hole, kind of like you said, or the spinning negative thoughts, it's really good to find a way to stop those and say, okay, why am I thinking that?
- 33:54Speaker 2: Why am I thinking these things?
- 33:55Speaker 2: What is the root cause of these negative thoughts and are they even accurate?
- 34:02Speaker 2: Are they even true?
- 34:04Speaker 2: You know, there are just random energetic flows of things that come through your mind at any given time.
- 34:13Speaker 2: It could be out of hunger, it could be out of grief, it could be out of boredom that you start thinking things right.
- 34:19Speaker 2: So it's good to really put those things together so that you don't go down the rabbit hole and there are positive mantras, come in affirmations, so that you can get yourself back into that empowered mindset Because in my opinion, it all begins with the mind, and I've asked my guides about that.
- 34:44Speaker 2: I said, well, is it the mental first and then the emotions, or is it the emotions that affect the mental and they're like well, it's kind of both.
- 34:52Speaker 2: Yeah, there's no chicken or egg here.
- 34:56Speaker 2: Right, it's like the mental aspect can trigger an emotion, or an emotion that you're having could definitely trigger negative thoughts.
- 35:05Speaker 2: So they really do work in tandem.
- 35:08Speaker 2: But learning to ask questions, I think why, why am I feeling this way?
- 35:15Speaker 2: And you are empowered to have a new thought, you're empowered to have a new emotion, and I think it's just sometimes out of habit or it's those triggers that we do need to work through, that we all have.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Yeah, In my own life I've just really gotten to that practice of questioning it and not believing it for what it's in, just like questioning everything, and I think one of the biggest for me I'm highly emotional, I'm highly feeling, I'm very all the things, and so for a long time it's just really hard to discern that sometimes of what's mine and what somebody else is and when you take it so much it's overwhelming, right, and that's when the mind gets so loud to try and make sense of it.
- 36:02Speaker 1: But I stopped drinking eight and a half months ago and ever since then I feel like it's been a lot easier to ask those questions.
- 36:10Speaker 1: Right, because my emotions aren't impacted by the alcohol or something outside of myself.
- 36:16Speaker 1: But yeah, just like always, that's been a whole thing in itself.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Right, because I think we are so like alcohol is attached to being social and having fun and doing all of these things, and so I've had to re.
- 36:26Speaker 1: What's the word I'm looking for?
- 36:28Speaker 1: Like just relabel or re?
- 36:31Speaker 1: I don't know, I'm losing the word.
- 36:35Speaker 2: Well, it's a negative coping mechanism is what it is, and sometimes it starts out as just a social drink or whatever.
- 36:42Speaker 2: But sometimes we start attaching too much of it and we identify too much with it and then it becomes a really bad habit and it can interfere.
- 36:50Speaker 2: It can interfere with your thought patterns, with your emotions, and you made a really good point too in that, considering what's mine and what is not mine, you might be absorbing other people's energy or you might be mirroring somebody else's feelings or their experience in the moment, and it's really good to be able to acknowledge that and say is this fine, and am I helping this person if I'm owning theirs?
- 37:22Speaker 2: And then you start bringing yourself down in the process.
- 37:25Speaker 2: So there's always a lot to unpack when you start asking those questions, and I do think it's one of the best ways to start to identify.
- 37:32Speaker 2: Where do I start with my healing?
- 37:35Speaker 2: Yeah, really become aware.
- 37:39Speaker 1: Yeah, and I think sometimes it's not even just like the feelings too.
- 37:42Speaker 1: I was feeling almost like dizzy once at work and I was like that's interesting, is this mine or is this somebody else's?
- 37:50Speaker 1: I mean, I've gotten into the practice of asking that right, instead of just assuming like, oh my gosh, something's wrong with me.
- 37:54Speaker 1: But I'm always like, is this mine or is this somebody else's?
- 37:56Speaker 1: And as I was asking myself that this girl walks around the corner and she's like, oh my gosh, I feel like I'm gonna pass out, and so it's like I feel like I was in.
- 38:02Speaker 1: That was sort of the answer to the question.
- 38:04Speaker 1: I was literally right then asking, and then after that I was fine.
- 38:07Speaker 1: But yeah, it's really interesting because it's especially when you're beginning to do the work or you're not even aware of the work.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Right, we just take everything on as our own, and then it just makes the trauma that we're already feeling like so much more intense because we just think everything is us.
- 38:24Speaker 1: Yes, we do.
- 38:27Speaker 2: And I think we tend to shoulder way too much, and I think sometimes that has to do with us just being female or how you're brought up, the dynamics that you grew up in.
- 38:41Speaker 2: Maybe sometimes as an oldest child or an only child, you tend to shoulder a lot.
- 38:47Speaker 2: Sometimes that comes with that territory and it's just a learned behavior to shoulder other people's energy or to absorb it and so really putting up that boundary.
- 39:01Speaker 2: Sometimes one of my daughters can be this way and so she's very intuitive.
- 39:09Speaker 2: It sounds like you're very intuitive, and so I just say just draw a bubble around yourself right, or intend to hold a sacred space for yourself that no one can penetrate or no other energies can penetrate while you're out and about or while you're in a working space with other people, and that alone has helped her quite a bit to hold that intention.
- 39:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I started literally just recently because I realized how much I was letting my energy leak out and how much I was taking on from other people.
- 39:43Speaker 1: So I just started it just like was it called Florida water?
- 39:46Speaker 1: I just like spraying it and I think it's just the intention of like I'm protecting my energy, rather than not necessarily what I'm using, but other than you know, visualizing the bubble and stuff.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Is there any sort of energetic like hygiene practices that you have or that you teach people, just to sort of keep yours?
- 40:07Speaker 2: Yes, One of the things that I talk about in my online course is energy cords that we can receive cords from other people simply by being open to wanting to help them, and an energy cord is a line of energy from one of their chakras to your chakra to draw on your vital force energy.
- 40:33Speaker 2: They're actually fairly common and, again, if you tend to be a helper or a rescuer to use that term or a highly compassionate individual that really just wants to help other people, you are very prone to having a lot of energy cords and that can add up to a significant loss of energy depending on how many cords you might have.
- 40:58Speaker 2: If you're always feeling exhausted and depleted and fatigued, it's possible, among any other karmic patterns you're holding, you might also tend to have a lot of energy cords.
- 41:10Speaker 2: So at the end of the day, you could literally do like a dry brush with your hands right and just say just removing any excess energy that isn't mine and I'm cutting all cords at any chakras that I might have inadvertently taken on and please release them, and I think that's a really good practice to get into.
- 41:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I love having these conversations because it's always so divine timing and everything.
- 41:38Speaker 1: Because I recently, like two weeks ago, started at night doing exactly that, just cord cutting at the end of my day just to release it all.
- 41:46Speaker 1: How do we Because I don't know if it's just that it's put back into place, but if we're talking about family cords maybe like mother wounding and things like that, because I've done a lot of the cord cutting right and then I feel like it's very quickly the cord is back and so how do you move through that if it's just repeated or it's sort of tying into something you said earlier about taking the new actions, and is it possible to do more energetic work on the back end while we're sort of learning how to rewiring the ability to move out of that place of trauma and take new action?
- 42:27Speaker 2: Yes, yes, there is definitely work that can be done around it, and family often tends to be the hardest part for us Because, again, we grow up with it.
- 42:39Speaker 2: It just tends to be a learned behavior.
- 42:41Speaker 2: It's like, well, I want to make mom happy, or I want to make dad happy, or I got to protect my little sister or my younger brother or whoever, and then you could end up just constantly doing that every day, all the time, and then people get reliant on you being the strong one and that can be a burden for you and it can be an energy loss for you, because if you keep attaching that cord, it's a drain for you.
- 43:13Speaker 2: But the other way to look at it is am I enabling bad behavior by helping?
- 43:21Speaker 2: Using quotation marks, I'm helping my mother or my father or my sister, but are you really?
- 43:27Speaker 2: That's another way to look at it is well, if I continue to rescue, say that's what's going on.
- 43:36Speaker 2: They never learn the negative results of their choices.
- 43:43Speaker 2: They just keep choosing it over and over and over again, because you're there to save them, you're there to help them.
- 43:49Speaker 2: I mean, it's a really maybe a harsh look at family dynamics, but it goes on all the time.
- 43:59Speaker 2: I have clients that feel guilty if they don't go running, if mom or dad calls, or the sibling needs help, the guilt that they feel or that they actually receive very negative feedback from family if they don't help, if they don't shoulder that energy that they're always shouldering, and then they never stop that, they never interrupt that with a you know, no, I can't get there now.
- 44:28Speaker 2: Maybe that's a good way to start.
- 44:29Speaker 2: I can get there now, maybe tomorrow, or can we work on it this way?
- 44:34Speaker 2: This works better for me and my schedule.
- 44:36Speaker 2: You start slowly creating those boundaries, because when you start changing your responses, sometimes they react negatively because you're not upholding what you've always upheld.
- 44:50Speaker 2: They get confused or they get angry, and then, in order to stop that, you just kind of go back to what you were doing, and so it's really important to start to create that boundary.
- 45:01Speaker 2: And sometimes you need to start really slow, right In a loving way, and it's like I want to help, but I really can't right now For this I can't do, but I can do this, and then you start slowly pulling yourself out of that negative dynamic and then they have free will to respond however they want to respond and you're not in charge of them.
- 45:28Speaker 2: You're not responsible for their happiness.
- 45:30Speaker 2: You're not responsible for their disempowerment that maybe they're in.
- 45:35Speaker 2: If you tend to shoulder people's energy, that could be a thought process that's maybe in your head and it's like well, I just want them to be happy.
- 45:46Speaker 2: No, they need to make themselves happy.
- 45:49Speaker 2: It's not up to you.
- 45:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I think just the family dynamics are so difficult because it's this label and this role we were given from the moment we were born, right, so it's all we identify with.
- 46:02Speaker 1: And it does bring that guilt when you're doing this work and you're coming into yourself and you want to trust yourself and you want to be this person that you are creating and that you know that you are, and yet the response is negative and it does make you want to just run back to that role and it's so confusing because you're like well, I know who I want to be, but this is the way I am.
- 46:24Speaker 1: And it's like how do I bridge the two?
- 46:27Speaker 1: And I think I've just found a lot of doing the energetic boundaries to start again, like you said, slowly because it's you know, there's a part of me that's just like just accept whoever I am and be done with it right.
- 46:41Speaker 1: And there's the other.
- 46:42Speaker 2: It's not that simple.
- 46:43Speaker 1: No, because because, like, our entire subconscious mind is operating from this, these roles that we've been given.
- 46:50Speaker 1: So it's like, literally, it's almost uncontrollable our response to our family, and so it is very, very challenging.
- 46:59Speaker 2: It is, and it's usually unconscious or subconscious.
- 47:02Speaker 2: You just do it because that's what you've always done.
- 47:06Speaker 2: And that's where asking the questions come in.
- 47:10Speaker 2: It's like, before you react, right, we want to shift you from reaction to response.
- 47:16Speaker 2: So it's like, okay, I'm not going to react.
- 47:18Speaker 2: And why do I want to react that way?
- 47:21Speaker 2: What's the impetus behind that and do I want to continue to react that way?
- 47:27Speaker 2: Or what's my new considered response that I want to have instead?
- 47:32Speaker 2: And that's how you work through the triggers.
- 47:34Speaker 2: And one way that you can work through triggers is giving it a little bit of space.
- 47:37Speaker 2: When you feel that trigger coming on, give it a little bit of space and then you breathe through it and you work through it and you ask is this how I want to be going forward?
- 47:48Speaker 2: And sometimes, in extreme situations, if the family isn't willing to accept the new you, or how you really are or how you want to be, sometimes, for you to move on to the path that you're meant to be on, you have to let it be what it's going to be.
- 48:11Speaker 2: You have to let that go.
- 48:13Speaker 1: Unfortunately, yeah, I find and I guess this is a personal example, but I know I'm sure a lot of people can relate to it but I find sometimes, when I try and put that space in there or that, give me some time to think about it, there's so much pressure from the other side Well, no, now we need it, now we need to do this, and then the trying to control the situation, and so then that just activates my system and I'm like I don't want to give an answer now.
- 48:39Speaker 1: It just doesn't feel good.
- 48:41Speaker 1: But then how do I Correct?
- 48:42Speaker 1: And I'm like okay, how can I get myself space without them getting upset?
- 48:46Speaker 1: But if I know, if I have to make an answer now, it's not going to be from an aligned space, because I'm in that response mode as opposed to just being like I need to give me 24 hours, and so I know that can be a little bit frustrating too when it's like that.
- 49:02Speaker 2: Oh yes.
- 49:05Speaker 1: It's like the energy right, Because energy from the other side is feeling that you're pulling away or that you're going to choose something new.
- 49:12Speaker 1: And it's just what we were talking about, right, it's the test.
- 49:14Speaker 1: It's like what are you going to do?
- 49:16Speaker 2: Yes, absolutely.
- 49:17Speaker 2: It's there every single time and it's on auto replay all the time and it is up to you to make that break.
- 49:23Speaker 2: And it can be hard.
- 49:25Speaker 2: I would tell people if this were easy, if all you need to do is make a new choice.
- 49:30Speaker 2: Why is that so hard?
- 49:32Speaker 2: Well, because it's really hard.
- 49:35Speaker 2: We want positive feedback.
- 49:37Speaker 2: We want to feel safe and secure in our relationships.
- 49:42Speaker 2: We want that.
- 49:43Speaker 2: And if we say, look, hey, I need, can I think on it for 24 hours or anything, and you get pressured, you just want to make them happy right away.
- 49:51Speaker 2: So you make a decision and then maybe regret it or like, why did I say that and not this?
- 49:55Speaker 2: So it's up to you to interject that and really hold firm.
- 49:59Speaker 2: It's much easier said than done and it just takes practice.
- 50:03Speaker 2: And if they keep the pressure on, it's okay.
- 50:06Speaker 2: It's just a learned old dynamic that you stand in your truth and you just say, if I can't have a few minutes to make a decision, then I need to step away for a little while.
- 50:19Speaker 2: And it's hard, it's very hard.
- 50:24Speaker 1: Yeah, it is and, like you said, it's a process.
- 50:27Speaker 1: I mean, it's been even in my own years and I think everybody wants the quick fix of like, well, what can I do to be this new person tomorrow?
- 50:36Speaker 1: And it just it doesn't work that way.
- 50:38Speaker 1: So, with that, what work do you do with?
- 50:42Speaker 1: Like, this podcast is emotional mastery right, and so it's all about like the tools to really regulate and handle our emotions.
- 50:49Speaker 1: So what would be like one of your biggest tips just for that emotional mastery piece, like as you're moving through, you know through, something like that.
- 50:56Speaker 2: Be very mindful and very aware of the result that you want to have, and you know, kind of like to use your example.
- 51:05Speaker 2: I would say is that if you need time and your desired result is I need I guess the ultimate result would be I don't want to feel pressured into an answer Then you need to move through that and be very conscious of why you're putting up that boundary and you move it from an anxiety into the new energy that you want to be.
- 51:33Speaker 2: You move from pressured to grounded.
- 51:37Speaker 2: You move from pressured to calm inner peace, and this is actually one of the secrets, in my opinion, to manifesting.
- 51:49Speaker 2: When I teach my students how to manifest, first we clear karma, because you can't manifest something new until you clear your karma, or if you do, it just takes twice as long.
- 51:59Speaker 2: And then you embrace the energy that you want to be with, whatever your new result is.
- 52:05Speaker 2: So if you want $100,000, it's not so much.
- 52:10Speaker 2: You want $100,000.
- 52:11Speaker 2: You want what $100,000 makes you feel like, which is different for everybody.
- 52:16Speaker 2: It could be joy, it could be fulfillment, it could be empowerment, I mean whatever it is.
- 52:25Speaker 2: You consciously choose that energy to stand in and then you magnetize yourself.
- 52:32Speaker 2: It is law of attraction, but in my mind it's magnetized and you bring those things that resonate to that same energy by choosing and embracing the energy you want to be.
- 52:47Speaker 2: So I would say consciously, choose the energy you want to be to help move through the challenge of trying to create a new response, because it is challenging.
- 53:04Speaker 1: And you mentioned it a couple of times but clearing that karma is that something that you're specifically doing in the Akashic Records or is it the aligned action?
- 53:13Speaker 1: I mean sure it's all of it combined, but when you are working with somebody, I guess my question is what are the specific steps that you're doing to work with them individually to actually clear that karma that's coming up?
- 53:23Speaker 2: Well, I do it as an energetic invocation, because they give me their permission to be in their Akashic record and I do a clearing for them simply by asking I want to release this contract or this vow or whatever it is that we're clearing.
- 53:38Speaker 2: And then, like I said earlier, you do feel that on some level, wherever that contract or that vow or that energy corridor, wherever it was it is, you will somehow feel that and then it is through.
- 53:53Speaker 2: Then new action on your part that will kind of steal the deal, so to speak.
- 53:59Speaker 2: If I clear you or you even ask for clearing on your own behalf, if you don't take new action, you kind of just go back to where you were.
- 54:11Speaker 2: So in the end it's always embracing the new energy and then you automatically make new decisions, I think when you're in a new energy and then taking action, actually following through with it.
- 54:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:30Speaker 1: I think for a long time I was just trying to do the energetic work but avoiding that action piece.
- 54:35Speaker 2: But it's just yes, you can do all the work that you want.
- 54:39Speaker 2: Well, and I will have people say well, patty, I do all the spiritual work and I do all the chakra cleansing and I do all my meditations and my singing bowls and my crystals.
- 54:51Speaker 2: I'm like but what have you done in terms of new action?
- 54:56Speaker 2: Have you broken up with that person that you need to break up with?
- 55:01Speaker 2: That's breaking your heart or using you and you're okay with it.
- 55:05Speaker 2: And you're like well, no, yeah, it's like well, that's the test, that's yeah.
- 55:13Speaker 2: So it's.
- 55:14Speaker 2: It's dealing with someone who is a higher in vibration already.
- 55:19Speaker 2: It's like why am I not shifting?
- 55:22Speaker 2: Why am I not manifesting?
- 55:23Speaker 2: It's like because there's usually this big gap between knowing what you should do and actually doing it, and that's why yeah, and do you think that disconnect could be due to just like chords that are just not being released, or that could be part of it.
- 55:41Speaker 2: Yeah, Fear, yeah Fear.
- 55:44Speaker 2: And we talked about the fear of rejection.
- 55:49Speaker 2: Like you know, none of us wants to be rejected or scolded or, you know, told that we're weird and go away.
- 56:01Speaker 2: If you're going to do that, spiritual woo or what are you thinking?
- 56:04Speaker 2: You're crazy.
- 56:05Speaker 2: Why are you doing that?
- 56:06Speaker 2: No, none of us likes that.
- 56:08Speaker 2: And also there is a fear of the unknown, right.
- 56:14Speaker 2: It's like I don't know if I'm going to be happy if I actually leave this person.
- 56:20Speaker 2: Will I find somebody that does align to me?
- 56:23Speaker 2: Maybe I should just stay that's a big one, right or maybe I need to leave this job that's sucking my energy and my joy.
- 56:33Speaker 2: But I need to pay the bills Well, there is a reality on that but can I find something that will pay me?
- 56:39Speaker 2: Or, and on top of it, can I do something I love and also earn money?
- 56:45Speaker 2: I mean, it's all that unknown.
- 56:47Speaker 2: We like the security of knowing what we're going to get, and so that often will keep us in a place of resistance.
- 56:58Speaker 1: Yeah, and yeah, yeah.
- 57:00Speaker 1: I also think that when you do begin to take those actions, like the magic that's on the other side of that discomfort is beautiful, right, and it's not that it always makes the action easier, but you have the proof that there's something bigger and better on the other side of that, because it's literally our entire subconscious is here to keep us safe, and so it's like you're fighting against your whole body and your energy that does not want to do this thing, and so it takes a lot to do it.
- 57:35Speaker 2: Now that's where I was going to go is the R word, which is resistance, because we do need to let our soul lead the way, and too many times our ego is leading the way, and we need a healthy balance of both.
- 57:50Speaker 2: I mean, in the third dimensional world, ego does serve a purpose.
- 57:54Speaker 2: We need ego, but we don't want it always in charge.
- 57:58Speaker 2: There has to be a happy balance between the two.
- 58:00Speaker 2: But oftentimes resistance comes because our ego, which is trying to keep us safe that's its job, right?
- 58:08Speaker 2: Say, well, we don't know what the result's going to be.
- 58:13Speaker 2: Maybe you shouldn't do that.
- 58:14Speaker 2: Or are you sure?
- 58:16Speaker 2: Because you only have $100 left in your checking account?
- 58:19Speaker 2: Maybe you shouldn't do that just yet.
- 58:22Speaker 2: It's always that little voice that is keeping us from taking that leap of faith, and it can be very scary.
- 58:29Speaker 2: Or just resisting in general.
- 58:32Speaker 2: When we resist where the soul is wanting to take us, like there are times in our life where we need to up level or we need to shift.
- 58:43Speaker 2: It's time, divine timing, and if you resist that, you put yourself in an amazing sort of misery.
- 58:53Speaker 2: That's horrible and you feel that, and so it's like just letting go of the reins and trusting the old phrase the universe has your back is really key to taking your life where you say you want to go.
- 59:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like when I'm in that pattern and that cycle of fighting against myself every turn of the way, I just think about it's like if you're constantly, if you're trying to swim upstream, you're not going to get very far.
- 59:24Speaker 1: You just have to eventually let go and let it take you where it's going to take you.
- 59:29Speaker 1: And so I think sometimes even just having those moments where I can just release, and it's in those moments where I'll just get a drop of where I should be going, and then it's like, okay, let me just take this step, yeah, and I go through the cycle again and I'm like, okay, come back to work last time, let's come back here, and then another drop.
- 59:45Speaker 1: So I think it's very, it's like a slow process because, yeah, and I would be curious what your definition of ego is, because I know there's so many, I guess, different terms or descriptions or energies of like ego.
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: Well, ego, like I said, I think its main job is to keep you safe.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: Right, it's job is to have you, not take risks To.
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: I mean, early in our evolution it was about survival, literally, and we don't live in those times anymore.
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: But our ego is still very much about survival and we need to learn to kind of put it in its place a little bit.
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: So you know what I hear you.
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: Thank you for guiding me, but I'm not meant to stay in this same place forever, and life is about growing and shifting and changing and taking risks.
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: And the ego will step in as trying to keep you safe and shifting from like an ego perspective to a soul perspective, I think is really important.
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: It's like the soul never really has absolutes, right.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: It's like, well, I'm learning and I want to have new experiences.
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: I need to have new experiences.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: I don't have to have all the answers.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: This ego will step in and say, well, why are you a big dummy?
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: Why are you asking that question?
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: It's like, well, I don't have all the answers, it's okay, I'm here to learn, I'm here to grow.
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: So, really being kind to yourself, we're always the hardest on ourselves and knowing that we're here, it's a journey and we're all on our own journey together and sometimes when you're healing but the others aren't like, say, going back to the family description, when you start healing but they're staying the same you're going to start to feel that more and more and more and you will see the dissonance and they will feel the dissonance and you'll say you're different and it's like well, I'm growing, I'm learning, I'm releasing things that don't serve me so I can make space for things that will serve me.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: I think that's shifting from an ego that always wants you to be the same and never take any risks to I'm willing that I know that I can course correct if I need to.
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: I think that's the other thing, too, is that there's a lot of fear.
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: Egos tends to be, I think, very fear-based.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: So what you want to know is that anything is fixable.
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: I heard a great phrase and said there is nothing that's unfixable, or something like that Anything is fixable, there is a solution and you can course correct and there is no failure.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: There's only learning.
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: So once you can put a more empowered spin not necessarily positive empowered spin on where you're going, I think it shifts you into more of anticipation and excitement about what's going to show up, to kind of temper, that fear that maybe you're feeling.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: I was listening to.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: What was it called on YouTube?
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: Your wish is your command.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: I don't know if you've heard about it.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: It's like a manifestation, it's like a 14-hour thing.
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: But he was talking about just like you were talking about that shift of being excited for what's to come, and he was saying that anytime now, if he gets a flat tire, instead of getting fresh, he's like I wonder who I'm going to meet.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: Or I wonder what this helped me avoid, or I wonder where this is taking me, because it's like everything is happening for you, and I thought that was such an interesting reframe.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: Just to be able to be like, ooh, this is interesting, I wonder what's going to happen out of this.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: Instead of just being like, oh my gosh, my tire is blown and now I have to call so-and-so and be late to this.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: It was an interesting perspective, and so I always take that with me.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: Now, when things happen, I'm like, ooh.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: Yes, reframing is very powerful and you can learn something from absolutely everything that happens.
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: Maybe it's testing your anger response, or maybe it's testing your impatience, or maybe who knows what it's testing but being able to reframe it in an empowered way and the body doesn't really know the difference between what's an anxiety feeling and what's an excited feeling I mean, they're very close really, if you think about it.
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: And so if you can transmute that anxiety into excitement or into anticipation, it's like the paradigm shift and your body only knows what you tell it, it only knows how you're defining that in the moment and it will go with it.
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: It will go with it and it will lean into whatever you tell it, and so that's also a very powerful way, I think, to work through some maybe negative emotions that you're having.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: I have a question that just keeps popping in, so I'm going to ask it but why do you think that there are, when we're looking at family dynamics, right, and we have somebody who's really working through to heal and to grow, and then you have people that are just maybe it's just in this lifetime, but are just very much not going to do any sort of work on themselves, and they're just stuck in these patterns and I just always wonder what that's about, and I know it's all part of their karma, right and then it just I don't know if it's just because I feel the deep insecurities and traumas that that person's experiencing, but they're just continually replaying the same thing.
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: So I don't know.
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: My question is why do you think that dynamic happens sometimes, or a lot of times, free will?
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, free will.
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: One thing is that I learned to suspend a lot of judgment when I started doing more of this kind of work, because we are definitely on our own individual journey and it might take another 10, 15 lifetimes for that person to start working on their negative patterns.
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: And it's not for us to say they could be and they could have come a long way from where they started.
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: You know you don't know where their story started and so you're just witnessing where that soul is right now.
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: So whatever they're choosing is appropriate for them at the time.
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: And knowing when to let go especially if you're a helper, you're an enabler, a rescuer, whatever you want to call it knowing when to pull back from someone who's not ready to change is huge.
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: It will save you a lot of heartache, a lot of disappointment, because you can't do it for them, you can't feel bad enough for them to change, you can't throw yourself under the bus enough times to get them to change.
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: It's such a disservice to you.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: And also, you know we learn ourselves by being around individuals who maybe haven't worked through their karma.
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: You know all of our experiences are meant, like we talked about, to either teach us or to move us to the next level, or what have you, and so there is always an exchange of energy, and we have certain lessons that we're here to look to experience, and maybe you're meant to witness that person's inability to work through their karma, for whatever reason, that you need to experience something.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: Yeah, there was a person that was in my life that I feel like there was such like a deep, like soul connection and, like you said, I was just found myself constantly like throwing myself in front of the bus over and over and over again.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: And I did get to that point where it's like I, they're not ready, and that's fine, and it was, quite honestly, one of the most painful experiences of my life to have to step away from somebody that, like their soul, was so beautiful and I could feel it, but they just like we're not going to get there, and but I just I also have to think.
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: I'm viewing it from my lens.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: I don't know the impact that not like, not that I had on them, but I don't know the impact of our energetic exchange or I don't know, like you said, where they started and where they're at, like maybe are the time that we spent together was actually really impactful and I will never know that Right, and so I just have to trust that that happened for a reason, and I may never know what that reason is and I don't have to know.
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: So that sort of has helped as I've moved through that, but I do, I, I do think that being that soul led space of like.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: Okay, I could do this for the next five, 10 years and I will be miserable, or I can step away was just definitely one of the hardest things I've done.
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: Well, and maybe that was a karmic pattern you had.
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: Maybe you had numerous past lives with this person and it may not have been in the same relationship.
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: You know, sometimes you change roles, sometimes you change genders, and maybe you've had a karmic pattern of giving up your life to try to help this person who is not choosing to help themselves.
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: Yeah, and maybe this was the lifetime to break it.
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: And again, it doesn't mean that it's easy to do, but it's so necessary for you, yeah, and for your soul, growth and evolution.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: Yeah, well, that's how it felt.
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: That felt very deep, it was like beyond what was like actually happening, you know.
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: And so, yeah, that is interesting.
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: I would be curious to know do you, are you familiar with your human design or astrology?
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: Both.
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: Oh, you are Okay.
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: Are you comfortable sharing it?
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I don't know a whole lot about especially human design.
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: I've been told I'm a manifesting generator.
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: Yeah, and that was interesting because I you know, being kind of unfamiliar, that one step person that did the reading for me shared with me what it was I'm like.
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: Oh, that's very validating.
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: I love to hear that.
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: Do you know if you're emotional or your authority, if it's emotional or sacred?
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: Did they say you had to drive away the emotions or you knew like in the moment?
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: In the moment.
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: Okay, so you're a sacred role.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, okay, that's interesting.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: And then, yeah, I'm also an energy.
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: That's what I was going to say.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: Oh okay, it was so validating for me to figure that out because I was like, oh my gosh, all this energy I have and all these like passions and all these things that I explore is just who I am.
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: I have to like feel bad for like quitting or not following through or like jumping from one thing to the next.
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: So it was hugely validating.
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: That was the biggest thing for me, because I do tend to do a lot of different things, and sometimes I got called out on it for years.
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: It's like hey you know, you just did this.
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: Now you're doing that and I'm like, yeah, but I'm done with that.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: And now I understand it was part of it.
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: Right, yeah.
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: And then you asked me about astrology.
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, like your sun, moon and rising, or anything that you want to share about your shoulders.
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: I know my I'm a Pisces.
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: I never remember what my moon and rising are, unfortunately, but but I definitely I think I would.
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: I want to say maybe a Taurus Moon and a Leo or something like that.
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: There's Pisces, taurus and Leo in there.
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: I just know that, okay.
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: But yeah, definitely Pisces, and I have paid for some of my Pisces attributes that weren't so strong.
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I know we started the whole conversation with the love life and the self love and oh my goodness, I have been down that road yeah.
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: Pisces can definitely lose themselves in that.
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, and then I'm a Taurus son and then a Leo moon and rising, so I've definitely resonated with Leo and the Taurus aspects.
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: Because it's yeah, it's a lot, just like the Leo, all the fire, right, and if you have those as you're like big three, right, you have water, fire and earth, like all of them doing this dance with each other.
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: I love to look at the elements of astrology because I feel like it's so I don't know, it's just like it makes so much sense when you're like piecing it together.
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: But Well, I think all of these modalities work so beautifully together.
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: You know there's a lot to learn.
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: They all mesh.
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: There's validity to all of that.
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: When I do the Akashic work and I find that people ask me about numerology, I have lots of people that changed their name because of the numerology and then it was discovered that some of their negative patterns through numerology were very similar to what I found in the Akashic work.
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: And then it also followed suit with their sun sign and their human design.
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: So you know, it's all a lovely mix of energy and you just choose what resonates to you.
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: However, you need to get the healing I think is perfect.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I love that.
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: I think, yeah, there are beautiful modalities and I know somebody who works a lot with energy and she can read, like she literally speaks to the planets, but she knows nothing about astrology.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: So every time I come in there and I'm telling her about astrology, she's like I don't know what you're saying, but like I'm just receiving messages from, like the cosmos, basically.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: And I think it's so beautiful, like you said, because it all layers, it's all like the same, essentially, right, it just layers on top of each other and it's energy and it's frequency and it's the Akashic records and it's source and all these things that are sending us messages that are the way we are designed to receive it, right.
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: And I work with astrology a lot and for a while I was sort of like I felt like I wasn't like psychic or I wasn't like all my skills, but then I realized, like astrology speaks to me, right, like that's the way I'm receiving the energy and that's the way I can communicate that to other people, and so like that's just the way that I receive it.
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: It doesn't mean that because it's like one modality or another makes it invalid.
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: So Absolutely no.
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: I think whatever excites you and you get the most from you should definitely follow it.
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: And I just latched on to Akashic records.
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: I can't tell you why, especially in the beginning.
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: It was definitely divine intervention to pivot me to that and then I just ran with it.
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's what I enjoy.
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: But yeah, I mean, I think you should follow those passions and that's how it works.
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: With your gifts and your talents and your attributes, you're gonna be led to outlets for that and when you choose to use it, that is how you start to create your abundance.
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: That's where the ease comes in.
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: Again, we've been taught you gotta work really hard in a job that you hate so you can do this.
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: It's like no, no, the new energy is all about doing something that you love and know that abundance will follow it, and however you choose to do that, yeah Well, thank you, patty.
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: This conversation has been so beautiful.
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: Is there anything that you wanna leave the listeners with, or any like final, like tools or tips or anything that we did not cover in this conversation?
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: And we covered a lot.
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: I can't think of anything.
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: I just my mission has always been to I wanna remind people of how empowered we all really are and that we all are capable of manifesting the life that we dream of and having the things that we have and that we wanna have, and just go for it.
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: Just go for it, You'll be held, you'll be safe, you'll get through it, and that's what life's about.
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: I love that.
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: And how can people find you and how can they work with you?
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: Absolutely Best ways to go to my website, pattyallivercom.
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: That's P-A-T-T-Y Oliver I know it's spelled lots of different ways and, like I said, I have an online course that I've launched recently.
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: I do some private coaching still, so there's lots of ways to work with me, and then I'm also on Facebook and Instagram as Patty Oliver Energy Healer, so look me up.
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: I'd love to chat with you about Akashic.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: Records.
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: Well, thank you so much, thank you.
