- 1:25Speaker 2: I enjoy serious conversations that that are.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Not like men women. Yeah, men will constant debate, the
- 1:32Speaker 3: constant typical he about.
- 1:34Speaker 4: To do it through you know he love it. Male
- 1:38Speaker 4: vibes in the house, Yo, man, what we're doing. My
- 1:42Speaker 4: boy reached out to us. He was like, I want
- 1:44Speaker 4: to be on your platform. I really appreciate that male
- 1:47Speaker 4: because his platform is about four times the size of Hours.
- 1:50Speaker 4: So for him to say like, yo, that's mad respect.
- 1:54Speaker 4: And he's a content creator for real, Like he literally
- 1:56Speaker 4: puts out something in there every days, dedicated to his craft.
- 2:01Speaker 4: He's a great follow on Instagram and TikTok, mel dot,
- 2:06Speaker 4: v y b z, nel vibes. You got a song
- 2:10Speaker 4: or you just was out here playing around, you just
- 2:11Speaker 4: walk around? I gotta we gotta hit song in the city. Man,
- 2:14Speaker 4: we got we got a big song in the city.
- 2:15Speaker 4: Is you know around bending You'll tell you.
- 2:19Speaker 3: You're a good man. You do Gunman song?
- 2:22Speaker 4: You can't talk about. We can't talk about that. You
- 2:23Speaker 4: can't talk about again it is a Gunman song. Technically
- 2:29Speaker 4: it's you. I mean that music it is.
- 2:32Speaker 3: It is.
- 2:32Speaker 4: You know, sad that that one took off, but it is.
- 2:36Speaker 4: It was something for New York City and then it
- 2:37Speaker 4: took off and it was like, oh wow, it's interesting
- 2:41Speaker 4: to start After last Gunman song is heard, the tune,
- 2:49Speaker 4: the tonality it's the accent. Why do y'all keep doing that?
- 2:58Speaker 3: Is great?
- 3:00Speaker 4: I do have a I want to end this the
- 3:02Speaker 4: last conversation off. We were speaking about kids. We were
- 3:04Speaker 4: speaking about parenting, we were speaking about showing up for
- 3:07Speaker 4: your children, and we were speaking about the experience of
- 3:12Speaker 4: our children in those teen years the fourth fourth grade
- 3:19Speaker 4: to teen years.
- 3:20Speaker 3: Right. I did see a clip on it and that
- 3:25Speaker 3: they said, I'd be robbing people content by playing the clips, Like.
- 3:29Speaker 5: How but when the clip has the clip in the clip?
- 3:32Speaker 5: Are your niggas dumb?
- 3:33Speaker 3: Get it back in blood? Get it.
- 3:40Speaker 4: It's stupid. And they had like what four or five
- 3:45Speaker 4: hundred thousand? Fuck, they ain't worried about us.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Shout out to the people who we be stealing from, though,
- 3:51Speaker 3: shout out to y'all we is crazy. I did see
- 3:54Speaker 3: a clip on the Internet that I decided to rob
- 4:00Speaker 3: to hear it is do it here we go and Jil.
- 4:03Speaker 6: Of America Incorporated exist or does it do us more
- 4:05Speaker 6: harm than should Jack and Jil of America Incorporated exist?
- 4:09Speaker 3: Or does it do us more harm than good?
- 4:10Speaker 6: Now, if you don't know what Jack and Job of
- 4:12Speaker 6: America is, you can go to the organization's website for
- 4:14Speaker 6: a proper definition, but you can also go to an
- 4:16Speaker 6: HBCU or hair salon or barbershop for a shorthand definition
- 4:20Speaker 6: where someone will tell you Jack and Jill is where
- 4:21Speaker 6: boogie black people go to have community with each other.
- 4:24Speaker 3: It is application based.
- 4:26Speaker 6: I was part of Jack and Joe growing up, and
- 4:28Speaker 6: some of my friends who were outside if it teased
- 4:30Speaker 6: me about that, and it wasn't until I was an
- 4:31Speaker 6: adult that I could really see it through their eyes.
- 4:33Speaker 6: That's when I saw some of those same friends arguing
- 4:36Speaker 6: in loud, yelling matches, even crying in some instances with
- 4:39Speaker 6: other friends of ours who were inside the organization about
- 4:42Speaker 6: the rejection and hurt and outcasting and judgment that their
- 4:46Speaker 6: families felt when they were not accepted into the organization
- 4:49Speaker 6: years ago. So I asked, is it even worked it
- 4:51Speaker 6: for us to have organizations like this that connect certain
- 4:54Speaker 6: black families and make others feel outcasts? Or are we
- 4:57Speaker 6: just taking the same status and elitism and hire that
- 5:00Speaker 6: we always feel at the bottom of and the rest
- 5:02Speaker 6: of society and bringing it into our world so that
- 5:04Speaker 6: we can look down our noses at each other.
- 5:09Speaker 5: Second option, let me tell you something right now, if
- 5:14Speaker 5: anybody can get me into Jack and Jail, Please reach
- 5:17Speaker 5: out because I'm definitely trying to get my baby into
- 5:20Speaker 5: Jack and Jail, and I have been for quite some time.
- 5:22Speaker 5: Either that or the links, I don't really care how
- 5:25Speaker 5: y'all feel about it. All things can be true. However,
- 5:30Speaker 5: hit me up, y'all can DM My dm is are
- 5:32Speaker 5: opens for that.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Okay, that's my that's my opinion. Connected, but not in
- 5:36Speaker 2: Jersey right connected.
- 5:37Speaker 3: I asked you before, though I don't remember that.
- 5:40Speaker 2: You don't remember nothing.
- 5:41Speaker 4: I think you asked me. I think we spoke about this.
- 5:43Speaker 4: I think you already you already tried to do.
- 5:45Speaker 2: No, I didn't. I'll be procrastinating, but like, come on, friends.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Yeah I wasn't.
- 5:51Speaker 4: I wasn't in Jack and Jail, and I definitely felt
- 5:55Speaker 4: a way troum was in it, and I definitely felt
- 6:01Speaker 4: classed out. I think I couldn't afford it, or I
- 6:04Speaker 4: just didn't have the I had none to do with financials.
- 6:06Speaker 4: I just didn't have the community relations connected literally had
- 6:11Speaker 4: to do it.
- 6:12Speaker 7: So I don't think there's no application, but a family
- 6:17Speaker 7: has to kind of sponsor. Yeah, refer you in and
- 6:22Speaker 7: some of it has changed. But in the past when
- 6:25Speaker 7: I was growing up, it was kind of I don't
- 6:29Speaker 7: know if this is a thing or if this is
- 6:31Speaker 7: just what I noticed, but it was kind of more
- 6:34Speaker 7: two parent households than a single parents. So I don't
- 6:37Speaker 7: know if they would discriminate on that basis. But other
- 6:41Speaker 7: than that, I thought, I thought it was kind of dope.
- 6:46Speaker 7: And to expand on what oh Boys said in the clip,
- 6:50Speaker 7: it was, it's also for a lot of kids that
- 6:53Speaker 7: grow up and go to like predominantly white.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Schools, private schools, boarding schools, all the things I want
- 6:58Speaker 2: for my child.
- 6:59Speaker 7: It don't even have to be like I went to
- 7:00Speaker 7: a white elementary school, but it wasn't a private school.
- 7:03Speaker 3: It was a public school, right, But so.
- 7:06Speaker 7: You know, I'm growing up in the elementary school or
- 7:09Speaker 7: my friends are white, Jack and Jail. Jack and Jill
- 7:12Speaker 7: gave me an opportunity to have black friends, black minded families.
- 7:16Speaker 7: So yeah, I got friends on my block and in
- 7:18Speaker 7: my neighborhood. But other friends that's you know, like minded,
- 7:23Speaker 7: where you're not just whitewashed, you know what I mean.
- 7:26Speaker 7: So you could go to the quote unquote good schools,
- 7:28Speaker 7: private schools or whatever, but still be in community with
- 7:31Speaker 7: other black kids and other Black families. That's super important,
- 7:35Speaker 7: and I thought that was dope. A lot of the
- 7:37Speaker 7: ship that we had to do as kids, I did
- 7:39Speaker 7: not appreciate until I was older, but we had things
- 7:43Speaker 7: like the Black Family Dinner every year. We had to
- 7:45Speaker 7: learn about our History week. We had to dress up
- 7:48Speaker 7: and Dasha's at the Black Family Dinner and shit like that.
- 7:51Speaker 2: DeBie taunt bulls, right.
- 7:53Speaker 7: Nah, I didn't jabawaks do that?
- 7:56Speaker 3: Right? Need that my mom was a link to our
- 8:00Speaker 3: can connect you with.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Them to see all the things.
- 8:04Speaker 7: So and besides that, like as a jack and jail kid,
- 8:07Speaker 7: we had to do community service. We had to do activities,
- 8:12Speaker 7: and it was a certain amount of activities were for
- 8:16Speaker 7: fun and entertainment. You can have your bowling parties and
- 8:18Speaker 7: shit like that, but a certain part you had to
- 8:21Speaker 7: fulfill community obligations. Right, So we went to nursing homes
- 8:25Speaker 7: and same Christmas carols, we did volunteer work.
- 8:30Speaker 3: I'm still jealous, I'm saying here, get mad all over.
- 8:32Speaker 5: Again, But I think that that's also something that's like
- 8:35Speaker 5: necessary because for some people, like if you don't have
- 8:38Speaker 5: the wherewithal or the connections to do with yourself, then
- 8:41Speaker 5: you can join and be a part of an organization
- 8:44Speaker 5: and teach your kid from young how to do and
- 8:46Speaker 5: how to be a part of the community in a
- 8:48Speaker 5: positive way.
- 8:50Speaker 2: I think that for me, I know, I know what happened,
- 8:56Speaker 2: what was my.
- 8:56Speaker 5: Issue with being able to be a jack and jail kid, Like,
- 8:59Speaker 5: I know exactly when it was going to happen, and
- 9:01Speaker 5: I know exactly when it stopped. But I don't I
- 9:04Speaker 5: think that that's an experience that a lot of children
- 9:07Speaker 5: need outside of school, outside of parenting, Like I think
- 9:11Speaker 5: that I don't want my kid with everybody's kids. I'm sorry.
- 9:16Speaker 5: I know it might sound elitist. I know what it
- 9:18Speaker 5: sounds like, but I'm still very dead ass about it.
- 9:21Speaker 3: That's what it is.
- 9:23Speaker 5: I understand that, and I will stand ten tolls on it.
- 9:25Speaker 5: I don't want my kid around everybody's kid. I don't
- 9:27Speaker 5: want my kid to be influenced by certain kids and
- 9:32Speaker 5: certain families that I don't want her to be around.
- 9:35Speaker 5: And I'm so very sorry, because at the end of
- 9:36Speaker 5: the day, you have a very finite amount of time
- 9:39Speaker 5: to be a child, and you have a very small
- 9:42Speaker 5: window to nurture and grow your child into or dump
- 9:47Speaker 5: these experiences in your child while they're young, so that
- 9:50Speaker 5: they might appreciate it when they're older, versus having to
- 9:53Speaker 5: work up to it when you're an adult.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Like I don't.
- 9:57Speaker 5: I'm not playing I want it done. I'm not playing
- 10:00Speaker 5: Russian Roulette with this one. Like I'm giving her all
- 10:03Speaker 5: of the opportunities. You never going to say you had
- 10:05Speaker 5: to get out the mud. You never want to say
- 10:07Speaker 5: that you had to struggle. You never going to say
- 10:09Speaker 5: that you didn't have access. You never There's so many
- 10:11Speaker 5: things that you're never going to be able to say,
- 10:13Speaker 5: and I'm going to give it to you.
- 10:14Speaker 4: Do you think that putting your child in jack and
- 10:16Speaker 4: Jail is teaching them some sense of classism?
- 10:22Speaker 5: Being the fact that I've never been in Jack and jail,
- 10:24Speaker 5: I can't say yes or no. However, sure, no, I don't.
- 10:28Speaker 7: Think it's classicism because, like I said, it's not separated.
- 10:31Speaker 7: There's no application, it's not separated on financial lines. To
- 10:35Speaker 7: Dodger's point, it's about being around like minded people.
- 10:39Speaker 3: Which is like which is what?
- 10:40Speaker 7: Which is whatever you consider like minded?
- 10:42Speaker 4: If there's a like minded people that are in jack
- 10:45Speaker 4: and jail, what is the like mind?
- 10:47Speaker 3: It's not what I consider it. What do they consider
- 10:50Speaker 3: like minded?
- 10:51Speaker 2: I will say people that care about family keep people
- 10:53Speaker 2: that care about education, people that care about the preserve
- 10:57Speaker 2: the preservation of legacy, people that care.
- 11:00Speaker 5: About like saying that you want the best for your
- 11:04Speaker 5: child and actually putting them in position to actually having
- 11:07Speaker 5: access to what the best looks like instead of just
- 11:10Speaker 5: cosplay and saying it saying like, oh, yeah, I care
- 11:12Speaker 5: about my kids education, but you just threw them in
- 11:15Speaker 5: his own school, Like you didn't even actually go around
- 11:19Speaker 5: some research. What's the best school? Why is this school
- 11:22Speaker 5: best for your kid? What kind of kid do you have?
- 11:23Speaker 5: If your kid is into sports, do they need to
- 11:26Speaker 5: be going to a STEM school? If your kid is
- 11:28Speaker 5: into stem, do they need to be going to a
- 11:30Speaker 5: fucking art school? Like actually doing the work to put
- 11:34Speaker 5: your kid in and have them around people that care
- 11:38Speaker 5: as much about them in the way that you care
- 11:41Speaker 5: about them.
- 11:43Speaker 7: What she said is perfect, right, It's not about like
- 11:46Speaker 7: bougie is a way that I described it growing up too,
- 11:50Speaker 7: for lack of a better term. You can say that,
- 11:51Speaker 7: but that's not a complete definition of it. And I'm
- 11:55Speaker 7: a part of this WhatsApp group called Bedstar Black Parents
- 11:59Speaker 7: right fires groups like four hundred people. The conversations in there,
- 12:03Speaker 7: These are like minded people. Not everybody is rich in there.
- 12:07Speaker 7: Some people rent, some people own, some people have little kids,
- 12:11Speaker 7: some people have teenage kids. But it's like the conversations
- 12:14Speaker 7: in there, you could tell everybody is about progressive stuff.
- 12:17Speaker 7: They want their kids to have a great life, and
- 12:20Speaker 7: that's the common denominator. It's not about no bullshit, it
- 12:23Speaker 7: ain't about no ignorance. It's about providing a better life
- 12:28Speaker 7: for your kids, legacy and things like that. If you're
- 12:30Speaker 7: on board with that, then that's what it is. I'm
- 12:33Speaker 7: on board with that. What are you talking about? I
- 12:37Speaker 7: ain't never get the link to the group chat. I'm
- 12:39Speaker 7: in bedstar you know, I got five kids.
- 12:42Speaker 3: I've never gotten.
- 12:44Speaker 4: The bedsty parent chat. That's so great. We're still there
- 12:53Speaker 4: talking about.
- 12:53Speaker 3: Jack and Ji.
- 12:54Speaker 4: No, I'm just talking about the idea of classism and
- 12:58Speaker 4: how y'all hold on to your space and other people
- 13:01Speaker 4: get denied that don't fit the look of your space.
- 13:06Speaker 4: Right now, you got your bedside thing right now. You
- 13:08Speaker 4: live a block away from me. You know I got
- 13:10Speaker 4: more kids.
- 13:10Speaker 3: Your kids, Huh? How old are they? Yeah?
- 13:13Speaker 2: Yeah, because it's old as shit.
- 13:15Speaker 3: So what's that? What's the point? I have two kids
- 13:18Speaker 3: that are going to be five for ever.
- 13:20Speaker 7: My youngest daughter is twelve, and I feel like I
- 13:25Speaker 7: have an old kid in compared to the kids, Like
- 13:29Speaker 7: a lot of the stuff they talk about is not
- 13:31Speaker 7: really loving to me. I'm still bringing it up as
- 13:35Speaker 7: an example of what of what Jack and Jill is
- 13:39Speaker 7: and how I was formed. I wasn't bringing it up
- 13:42Speaker 7: in any other way, right.
- 13:43Speaker 5: But also again, when we're talking about like minded people,
- 13:47Speaker 5: and this is not like a job to you in
- 13:49Speaker 5: any way, shape or form, So I have to preface
- 13:50Speaker 5: that at first. The fact of the matter is there
- 13:53Speaker 5: are things that you're going to research and you're going
- 13:56Speaker 5: to look out and you're going to reach out four
- 13:58Speaker 5: and like when you want certain things for your kids.
- 14:02Speaker 2: It's not our yo, No fuck it.
- 14:07Speaker 5: It's not our responsibility to tell you what groups or
- 14:11Speaker 5: what you should want to be a part of as
- 14:12Speaker 5: a parent. You're gonna figure it out your own way
- 14:15Speaker 5: and kind of do your own thing. I'm in a
- 14:17Speaker 5: couple of groups too, I'm in I'm in a Black
- 14:19Speaker 5: Mom's group. I'm in a a like a worldwide or
- 14:23Speaker 5: nationwide Black moms group, and they like pump out things
- 14:26Speaker 5: like different like camps and services, Like I'm gonna send Parker,
- 14:31Speaker 5: not this year she's seven, when she turns ten, I'm
- 14:34Speaker 5: gonna send her down to Atlanta where Spellmen they have
- 14:38Speaker 5: like a camp for kids from around the nation that
- 14:42Speaker 5: they come and they like actually live in the dorms
- 14:44Speaker 5: and they go to camp and they have like different experiences.
- 14:47Speaker 5: And I'm gonna send her there one because her godmother
- 14:50Speaker 5: is there. So these are things that I researched myself.
- 14:53Speaker 5: I didn't need to ask anybody.
- 14:55Speaker 4: I sent you to Jack and Jiling. You didn't ask
- 14:57Speaker 4: me about it. I sent it to you. What are
- 14:59Speaker 4: you talking about two three years ago? I sent you
- 15:02Speaker 4: two years ago. I believe I sent you the information
- 15:04Speaker 4: about Jack and Jail. Me sent because community about it.
- 15:09Speaker 3: Community.
- 15:10Speaker 4: No, No, you didn't, I said, okay, fun. But at
- 15:14Speaker 4: the end of the day, and so when you say, oh,
- 15:21Speaker 4: you're not supposed to, yes, it takes a village to
- 15:25Speaker 4: raise a child. It takes a village. And you said
- 15:29Speaker 4: that that they can deny you from Jack and Jail, right.
- 15:32Speaker 7: I don't know how that works, but I will say
- 15:35Speaker 7: that there's two things that I remember growing up. I
- 15:39Speaker 7: don't know if it's still the case. One, it's definitely
- 15:42Speaker 7: preferred for you to come in at an early age
- 15:45Speaker 7: so the kids go grow up together. So I met
- 15:48Speaker 7: you when we was thirteen. I don't even know if
- 15:50Speaker 7: he's already in, right, but I was in since I
- 15:52Speaker 7: was a little kid.
- 15:53Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 15:54Speaker 7: I don't know if they would have not that you
- 15:56Speaker 7: were asking, but I don't even know if there was
- 15:57Speaker 7: an option to bring you in at that age.
- 15:59Speaker 3: Right.
- 16:00Speaker 7: The other thing, and this is speaking to back then,
- 16:02Speaker 7: I don't know what has changed. It's and this is
- 16:05Speaker 7: why I didn't put my kids in jack and jail,
- 16:06Speaker 7: because it's historically been a mom's organization, right, so if
- 16:12Speaker 7: you're not a two parent household, as a dad, I
- 16:15Speaker 7: couldn't necessarily facilitate it unless the mom was the one
- 16:19Speaker 7: taking charge. And I'm the legacy one. Jack don't exist.
- 16:23Speaker 7: It's just really again, I don't know if that's changed,
- 16:25Speaker 7: but it was definitely a mom's organization.
- 16:27Speaker 3: Well, how do you feel about this?
- 16:30Speaker 4: The jack and jail thing is not so much new
- 16:33Speaker 4: to me, but the conversation is never something that really
- 16:37Speaker 4: crossed my like my understanding hearing what you guys are
- 16:43Speaker 4: saying about it. I definitely think it's necess It's a
- 16:49Speaker 4: necessary thing though, because now it shows you a different
- 16:52Speaker 4: side of life that but then what you were automatically
- 16:55Speaker 4: programmed to believe in life is right. This shows you that, yeah,
- 16:59Speaker 4: you can, you can be a black person and do
- 17:01Speaker 4: be like a normal individual per se. It's not just
- 17:04Speaker 4: playing basketball in the crates. And so I think I
- 17:07Speaker 4: think I think it's necessary. And when you ask, when
- 17:09Speaker 4: you discussing it from a level of elitism and classicism,
- 17:13Speaker 4: it can.
- 17:13Speaker 3: Feel like that.
- 17:14Speaker 4: Okay, right, it can feel like that, especially if you'ren outside,
- 17:16Speaker 4: when you're an outside looking at it, like what about me,
- 17:18Speaker 4: I'm not good enough? Don't actual well, sh ain't good enough?
- 17:21Speaker 4: And so on and so forth. But you also just
- 17:24Speaker 4: got to respect people that create the groups. And I'm
- 17:26Speaker 4: a big papron of the If I'm not invited to.
- 17:28Speaker 3: At the table, I'll be alone.
- 17:29Speaker 4: It's like the quickness that I value very quickly. Just
- 17:33Speaker 4: hold that though, because I'm old. This one here got
- 17:36Speaker 4: pulled it as it says, what does it say?
- 17:37Speaker 3: Oh?
- 17:38Speaker 2: I left it because you take a picture of it
- 17:40Speaker 2: to sens.
- 17:41Speaker 3: You a merry Mother's day. You're doing amazing. Sweetie.
- 17:44Speaker 4: Also spoke to somebody about getting parking into Jack and
- 17:47Speaker 4: Jill if you're interested, and I.
- 17:49Speaker 2: Said, thank you a word.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Do tell two hours two and a half hours later.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Don't matter. Then they can never responded. He never sent
- 17:56Speaker 2: me like I said.
- 17:57Speaker 4: Spoke on the phone. You what we spoke. You can't
- 18:01Speaker 4: see that. I don't remember what the situation was, but
- 18:05Speaker 4: I told you what the situation was. I called you,
- 18:08Speaker 4: so we spoke on the phone about you, and I
- 18:11Speaker 4: believe I believe I connected you with somebody.
- 18:15Speaker 2: There's no fucking way because I would have did it.
- 18:17Speaker 2: This is twenty three.
- 18:19Speaker 3: We had more conversations about this.
- 18:21Speaker 4: We have not.
- 18:22Speaker 7: Yes, we did well. We can pick up where you
- 18:24Speaker 7: left off. I got some folks.
- 18:25Speaker 3: Okay, great. So what I was going to say is,
- 18:29Speaker 3: you know.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Baby gets out.
- 18:30Speaker 3: I reached out to you, my baby about to get
- 18:32Speaker 3: to our community.
- 18:33Speaker 7: Go ahead, tro I can't see how you can be
- 18:36Speaker 7: on the outside looking in and feel the ways because
- 18:38Speaker 7: it is somewhat of an insulated community. But that's kind
- 18:42Speaker 7: of the point. Like that allowed us to have certain
- 18:45Speaker 7: class activities where you feel safe. Like one of my
- 18:52Speaker 7: we used to have sleepover parties when I was like
- 18:54Speaker 7: eight years old. We had sleepover activities because you knew
- 18:59Speaker 7: the family. It wasn't just that you knew the kid.
- 19:01Speaker 7: You knew the families, right, And I remember, like that
- 19:04Speaker 7: was some core memories growing up. Like I remember the
- 19:08Speaker 7: first time seeing like a hip hop video on the TV.
- 19:12Speaker 7: I'm had a sleepover at a black family's house, and
- 19:16Speaker 7: then were all in there gym into like plant rock
- 19:19Speaker 7: and ship.
- 19:19Speaker 3: You know what I mean, It's like a core memory.
- 19:21Speaker 7: Before that, I had only been to sleepovers with white kids,
- 19:24Speaker 7: you know what I mean. You know, and it's a
- 19:26Speaker 7: different it's different. So now you got this safe, different
- 19:32Speaker 7: smell and everything.
- 19:33Speaker 4: Right right, And then you slept over white people's house.
- 19:38Speaker 3: Your parents.
- 19:43Speaker 2: That was before he met.
- 19:44Speaker 7: You, watching Friday thirteenth and all that ship.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Yo, the niggas trying to kill you, bro.
- 19:48Speaker 3: So then he was a black kid. Oh my god.
- 19:51Speaker 7: Again, like some of the stuff, when you were a kid,
- 19:54Speaker 7: you don't really get it, except for like sleepovers and ship.
- 19:56Speaker 7: But then when you get to like a certain age
- 19:58Speaker 7: and this you can remember this. The parties, fucking popping boy,
- 20:04Speaker 7: the parties. And then the best part is when we
- 20:09Speaker 7: get into high school and it wasn't just the Brooklyn
- 20:13Speaker 7: chapter parties.
- 20:14Speaker 3: It was everybody.
- 20:15Speaker 7: It was like we had the whole East Coast regional.
- 20:20Speaker 7: So we go down to a hotel and Maryland whatever,
- 20:23Speaker 7: and you got Virginia all the way up to New
- 20:28Speaker 7: Jersey and Boston and the Jersey everything in between. I
- 20:32Speaker 7: still got great friends from this day that I'm in
- 20:34Speaker 7: high school. And then I go to Howard University. I
- 20:38Speaker 7: only knew like one person going to school with me.
- 20:41Speaker 7: But yeah, now I got mad friends off the rip
- 20:45Speaker 7: and they're from Virginia, They're from d C. They from Jersey,
- 20:48Speaker 7: they from I'm like, yo, this ship is actually kind
- 20:50Speaker 7: of fire, you know what I mean?
- 20:52Speaker 3: Yep, exactly. You feel he feels the way he feels
- 20:56Speaker 3: the way that he was not he was not.
- 20:58Speaker 4: I'm jealous, to be honest, I don't don't think that.
- 21:01Speaker 4: I just think it's dope that him, as a child
- 21:06Speaker 4: had this outlet. They did all of these things to
- 21:09Speaker 4: help shape him, help shape his character, help extend his network,
- 21:14Speaker 4: like get him out of right here in the middle
- 21:17Speaker 4: of Bedstide, where there were crack vows everywhere. Every He
- 21:22Speaker 4: grew up right there with me. Meanwhile, because I didn't
- 21:26Speaker 4: have that network. My world was a lot smaller and
- 21:30Speaker 4: my experiences were more central.
- 21:34Speaker 3: To outside right here.
- 21:36Speaker 4: And yeah, I'm jealous, not because of you, your family,
- 21:41Speaker 4: or the jack and jail experience, but the opportunity to
- 21:47Speaker 4: this world, the shaping of my character right because I
- 21:53Speaker 4: had to. I felt like I had to do certain
- 21:56Speaker 4: things for attention and become this certain person for attention.
- 21:59Speaker 3: And I would think that Trump would have.
- 22:03Speaker 4: Balked on that, like I can't do that, Like I
- 22:05Speaker 4: was taught all of this other stuff, and I grew
- 22:08Speaker 4: up this other way, not going to be out here,
- 22:10Speaker 4: just you know, doing this certain being a certain way.
- 22:13Speaker 3: And I wish that for all our kids. Yeah, I
- 22:15Speaker 3: wish that experience for.
- 22:17Speaker 4: All of our children. I think we need it. And
- 22:19Speaker 4: in the video, go ahead, wait second mail, real quick.
- 22:21Speaker 4: I know you want something to say. But in the video,
- 22:23Speaker 4: the question was asked, are we adopting what white people
- 22:28Speaker 4: have done to us and doing that in our community
- 22:32Speaker 4: where we have an elitist, you know, black group and
- 22:35Speaker 4: that actually separates itself from the others. And I don't
- 22:38Speaker 4: think it's intentional, but I do think it's what happens,
- 22:42Speaker 4: and it's it's kind of.
- 22:44Speaker 3: Like, ah, if you don't you know. If you don't know,
- 22:46Speaker 3: you don't know.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Yeah, if you don't know, you don't that's right.
- 22:48Speaker 4: But I feel like the onness is now on us
- 22:50Speaker 4: now that we do know, right, and now that we
- 22:52Speaker 4: can't walk too because well, technically you can't. You can't
- 22:55Speaker 4: change the fact of his his life experienced opportunity that
- 22:58Speaker 4: was presented to him, or whatever ever the universe had.
- 23:01Speaker 3: In store for him. But now as we are all
- 23:04Speaker 3: collectively parents and you had that experience that you can say,
- 23:06Speaker 3: you know what, Yeah, my kids need to have distance.
- 23:08Speaker 3: And even if you don't put them in a jack
- 23:09Speaker 3: and jail or something like that, you've been exposed to
- 23:11Speaker 3: certain things that they need to know and very important
- 23:13Speaker 3: for them. So now we can have the ability to
- 23:15Speaker 3: come together us for as a group and create our
- 23:17Speaker 3: own little shit and create our own little networking, create
- 23:19Speaker 3: out and so that's kind of what that does from
- 23:23Speaker 3: a standpoint of you having that experience. Now now that
- 23:26Speaker 3: we're all aware and the knowledges out there, it's not
- 23:28Speaker 3: like it's some sort of hidden ship anymore. Now it's
- 23:30Speaker 3: not been sitting with us.
- 23:31Speaker 4: For nine years seeing the baby, I'm not even that
- 23:37Speaker 4: and I'm trying to find ways to get a parking.
- 23:40Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 23:41Speaker 2: I need both of y'all.
- 23:42Speaker 5: Thank you guys so much for all of your unwavering
- 23:45Speaker 5: help and support to make sure that my child is
- 23:48Speaker 5: able to do that I want her to do.
- 23:51Speaker 2: Thank you guys.
- 23:52Speaker 3: But that's what I'm talking.
- 23:52Speaker 4: About with our community and gatekeeping, because I know you've
- 23:56Speaker 4: got a million other things in your world. I'm not
- 23:58Speaker 4: saying that, but we do need to be thinking for
- 24:01Speaker 4: our neighbors kids and for the other kids. But she
- 24:04Speaker 4: said neighborhood dad, Like, yo, I know ways that I
- 24:06Speaker 4: help you, you know, do this and do that, like
- 24:08Speaker 4: we need to do it. But sharing information, we even
- 24:10Speaker 4: need to even him sharing the information that he may
- 24:12Speaker 4: have learned from those experiences very very important because what
- 24:16Speaker 4: you didn't learn on the inside, he didn't. He can
- 24:18Speaker 4: help shape help give you that. Without him, I would
- 24:21Speaker 4: have been on the corner to this day without his
- 24:24Speaker 4: family took me in and they gave me.
- 24:26Speaker 3: A level of like.
- 24:29Speaker 4: I was able to scale life differently because I saw
- 24:32Speaker 4: what I didn't have. I saw a million things, whether
- 24:35Speaker 4: it was deparchments like embedded into his wall like he has,
- 24:39Speaker 4: like like I would look around his crib like and
- 24:42Speaker 4: I saw his family, his mom and Pops would take
- 24:45Speaker 4: time by himself. We couldn't talk to them. They would
- 24:47Speaker 4: go in the room and they would have good wine.
- 24:49Speaker 4: They would just sit there and we could not talk
- 24:51Speaker 4: to them. During this half hour of the week. We
- 24:54Speaker 4: could not say nothing. They moved me in and they
- 24:57Speaker 4: fed me, and they talked to me, and they made
- 24:58Speaker 4: sure that you're gonna do this today, You're gonna, you know,
- 25:00Speaker 4: be successful today or whatever.
- 25:02Speaker 3: I never seen them yell. I never seen them raise
- 25:04Speaker 3: their voices. And I saw disappointment sometimes when we funked up,
- 25:07Speaker 3: But it wasn't disrespectful. It didn't make you feel less
- 25:10Speaker 3: of a person. It was just like we want more
- 25:12Speaker 3: for you, Like, don't do that, you know what I mean?
- 25:15Speaker 4: I was able, Yes, when life came at me a
- 25:18Speaker 4: certain way, I knew, I knew better, I knew I
- 25:21Speaker 4: saw better.
- 25:22Speaker 3: I knew that there was another one.
- 25:23Speaker 4: We have another example versus me not knowing, and a
- 25:26Speaker 4: lot of my friends didn't have that, you know what
- 25:28Speaker 4: I'm saying. So this nigga, you changed my life. You
- 25:31Speaker 4: and your family and Jack and Jill definitely changed my life.
- 25:33Speaker 4: You don't see what I'm saying, and so I definitely
- 25:37Speaker 4: want that for other Black children.
- 25:39Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. I want that experience for other Black.
- 25:42Speaker 2: Children because we're missing I mean, but it's all black children.
- 25:45Speaker 3: We're missing it. Not everybody wants it through.
- 25:48Speaker 5: Yeah, that's true too. It's it's it's it's also something
- 25:52Speaker 5: you gotta. It's an acquired taste. It's not for everybody.
- 25:56Speaker 5: Which if it was for everybody, it would be for
- 25:58Speaker 5: everybody's some things.
- 25:59Speaker 2: It's just not for everyone trying to.
- 26:00Speaker 3: Push it on them.
- 26:00Speaker 4: I just saying I want I want the education for
- 26:04Speaker 4: our kids, and the network, for the network. The network
- 26:07Speaker 4: is the most important, very important. The network is important.
- 26:10Speaker 4: Let's have fun, all right, seventeen TRAUMAM done throwing you
- 26:12Speaker 4: under the bus.
- 26:14Speaker 3: Apologize, that's all right.
- 26:18Speaker 5: I can't wait to take you out tomorrow and put
- 26:20Speaker 5: you in a group chat some somebody.
- 26:23Speaker 3: I don't have it. I can't remember who I knew.
- 26:25Speaker 3: That was years ago. I don't remember. See what I
- 26:30Speaker 3: go through. It's crazy. How can I fuck your lives up?
- 26:34Speaker 3: Right now? Let me see?
- 26:35Speaker 2: Why would you want to? We're doing such a great job.
- 26:38Speaker 3: You're such a great place, you know, right, such a
- 26:41Speaker 3: positive show. We were attacking Tron. It was it was great,
- 26:44Speaker 3: it right, all right, go ahead.
- 26:50Speaker 4: The world has been on fire yesterday. I want to
- 26:52Speaker 4: hear your voice today. I see you over there on Instagram.
- 26:54Speaker 3: Wake up, niggas, niggas parents and nigga. Yeah, niggas. I
- 27:02Speaker 3: was having a parent of us.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Parent is crazy?
- 27:04Speaker 3: What does that mean?
- 27:06Speaker 4: This guy community, I'm gonna do some whole thing while
- 27:17Speaker 4: we're talking about the influences on our children. There's another
- 27:19Speaker 4: segway we can use. The world has been up creased his.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Ass with all my skin man guys, what you said something?
- 27:37Speaker 3: Y'all spin spin ship.
- 27:41Speaker 4: They have really been like from for the negative influence
- 27:47Speaker 4: of spending that in d I R had something to
- 27:50Speaker 4: say which I think actually kind of started it. Kicked
- 27:52Speaker 4: it off in d I R. Who made the like
- 27:56Speaker 4: you know, the curly head you know, keep you on hair.
- 28:07Speaker 5: Aluminum, No, no, nobody.
- 28:14Speaker 2: It was one hundred degrees two days last week. I
- 28:16Speaker 2: want you to go to hell, to.
- 28:18Speaker 3: Go to.
- 28:24Speaker 4: What do y'all think about the backlash is getting from
- 28:28Speaker 4: the song I shot the funk up?
- 28:32Speaker 7: You know what's funny when the first when the song
- 28:34Speaker 7: first came out, so I still haven't downloaded the song
- 28:39Speaker 7: that I'm working DJ, and I'm in some some rooms
- 28:42Speaker 7: where the song can go crazy. I haven't cad I'm
- 28:44Speaker 7: not canceling her. I'm not gonna say I would never
- 28:45Speaker 7: download it. I'll never play it. But the reason why
- 28:48Speaker 7: I didn't download it was because of the bullshit that
- 28:51Speaker 7: Young Miami was on. She was performing and she was
- 28:55Speaker 7: balking on the d J. I don't know if you
- 28:56Speaker 7: remember that. That's viral, right She was, you don't like,
- 29:03Speaker 7: I don't like people that's disrespectful to DJs. You come
- 29:08Speaker 7: on stage, and then she on the microphone disrespected the
- 29:14Speaker 7: DJ in real time, and he handled it really well
- 29:18Speaker 7: and professionally. But it's like, Yo, you don't do that,
- 29:20Speaker 7: and DJ is supposed to support you and play your record.
- 29:23Speaker 7: So I was already like I'm cool with her, you
- 29:25Speaker 7: know what I mean?
- 29:27Speaker 3: DJ. She did apologize, She did apologize the next day.
- 29:31Speaker 3: She did apologize, but it was still like she was.
- 29:34Speaker 4: Look, she was like, yo, you gotta turn this ship up,
- 29:37Speaker 4: Like what what type?
- 29:38Speaker 3: What do? What type of music? You're playing?
- 29:40Speaker 4: Like, nah, you gotta like I'm here, we ain't here,
- 29:43Speaker 4: y'all want to hear some fly ship, come on DJ, Like.
- 29:47Speaker 7: She went in there and then he dropped something. She
- 29:49Speaker 7: was like, get the funk out of here with that ship,
- 29:51Speaker 7: like you've been sucking up the whole night, like.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Like really is it true? Embarrassing? But was it true?
- 29:56Speaker 2: It was because at the end of the.
- 30:00Speaker 5: You but you know what I'm talking about. I hate
- 30:02Speaker 5: a fucking DJ. That that that that's all over the place.
- 30:06Speaker 5: Transition sloppy, like I'm not even a fucking DJ, and
- 30:09Speaker 5: I'm sitting here one minute you got me listening to
- 30:11Speaker 5: the Mighty Cyrus. The next minute you gotta be listening
- 30:13Speaker 5: to Vibes Cartel. How how do we get here?
- 30:16Speaker 2: What are we doing? I will say the same ship the.
- 30:20Speaker 4: DJ Buddhist like that's happened, Trump, It's happened sometimes you
- 30:25Speaker 4: got to he's a.
- 30:26Speaker 7: Performer relying on the DJ to play your track. It
- 30:30Speaker 7: would behoove you not to berate him on the stage
- 30:33Speaker 7: and embarrass him when you're the performer with the microphone,
- 30:36Speaker 7: like you know, it's like you don't first of all,
- 30:39Speaker 7: if he used his platform and his microphone for the
- 30:42Speaker 7: next hour to brate you, how would that feel like
- 30:44Speaker 7: you don't use your platform with both artists. At the
- 30:47Speaker 7: end of the day, we're supposed to work off work
- 30:49Speaker 7: with each other. Come talk to me on the side, Yo,
- 30:52Speaker 7: boom boom, boom boom, because that's happened to me before.
- 30:55Speaker 7: Not in that way, but there's been like especially like
- 30:57Speaker 7: you go to like what his open mics or some
- 30:59Speaker 7: ship or unsigned artists ship, they be like, yo, DJ,
- 31:03Speaker 7: drop my ship and then I played. They be like, no,
- 31:05Speaker 7: it's supposed to be tracked too. I'm like, Nigga, you
- 31:07Speaker 7: ain't never come say something to me and tell me
- 31:09Speaker 7: what track to play.
- 31:10Speaker 3: Nothing.
- 31:11Speaker 7: I'm over here just but I'm supporting your art and
- 31:16Speaker 7: you want me to get it, but you ain't even
- 31:18Speaker 7: have the nervous or uh you know, have the.
- 31:21Speaker 3: This feels like me, not like when people put out
- 31:23Speaker 3: their garbage and it's not tied.
- 31:26Speaker 4: It's like Yah, from a performance standpoint, right, nobody's gonna
- 31:32Speaker 4: be like, Yo, Kureshi DJ was terrible last night, like
- 31:35Speaker 4: that been sucked on stage. And then even if it's
- 31:38Speaker 4: DJ fault, she thinks she didn't fly. And I can
- 31:40Speaker 4: look at it from both sides. So it's like I
- 31:42Speaker 4: get it, but I'm not saying it's right.
- 31:45Speaker 2: You gotta you gotta play spend that ship.
- 31:47Speaker 7: So yeah, yeah, I'm sorry. So I was gonna say
- 31:50Speaker 7: that that's the reason why I didn't download it immediately.
- 31:52Speaker 7: And then when I heard the song, I was like, oh,
- 31:54Speaker 7: this song is trash and I still feel like it's trash,
- 31:57Speaker 7: but I would play it because although I INDI has
- 32:00Speaker 7: great points, I'm I'm all about it. I play ignorant
- 32:04Speaker 7: music all the time exactly, and I'm not. But it's
- 32:07Speaker 7: like there's a space for it.
- 32:09Speaker 4: What's here's my And I was talking to somebody about
- 32:11Speaker 4: this too, like there's so much ignorant music out on
- 32:15Speaker 4: a daily basis. What is it that we're picking about
- 32:19Speaker 4: her talking about scammers and boosters like what? And I'm
- 32:21Speaker 4: not agreeing with the song with I can tell you like,
- 32:24Speaker 4: but there's literally every single day there's artists making dumb
- 32:28Speaker 4: ass shit and it's being promoted and this one.
- 32:31Speaker 3: Is just it.
- 32:32Speaker 4: It's a summary like it's a summery vibe. It's like
- 32:34Speaker 4: it's like it's a groovy beat. So everybody like, eh, I.
- 32:37Speaker 3: Could tell you, I'm gonna play a clip and then
- 32:40Speaker 3: try and you go right after that, And.
- 32:42Speaker 8: This is when I say it goes back to the
- 32:43Speaker 8: music because culture, this is what we're listening to. I
- 32:45Speaker 8: got homegirls whose kids is telling you to try at
- 32:48Speaker 8: thirteen because we listen to the city girls. I know
- 32:51Speaker 8: he ain't cashing out y'all not thinking about the youth.
- 32:54Speaker 1: I just had a conversation with right, and then I said,
- 32:55Speaker 1: I'm already like, I'm like what a delp, Like, I'm
- 32:59Speaker 1: I'm a whore that.
- 33:02Speaker 8: Like, y're not thinking about the younger generation and how
- 33:06Speaker 8: the music and the lifestyle is affected. I'm telling them,
- 33:10Speaker 8: you gotta have self respect, you gotta glove yourself because.
- 33:13Speaker 2: This ain't You're being brainwashed. This is gonna destroy you.
- 33:16Speaker 2: You're gonna start suppressing. When is why you depressed?
- 33:19Speaker 8: You emotionally detached one, and why you just want to
- 33:21Speaker 8: have SEXU all day like most men who are emotionally detached.
- 33:29Speaker 5: My gosh, let me do it, Let me do it,
- 33:32Speaker 5: all right, this is the thing, right, Go raise y'all,
- 33:38Speaker 5: fucking kids, Go raise y'all kids.
- 33:42Speaker 2: This doesn't even make no sense.
- 33:44Speaker 5: Like, oh, my gosh, I remember my mom telling me
- 33:48Speaker 5: that I cannot listen to Little Kim's album. She had
- 33:51Speaker 5: Little Kim's album and she looked me on my face
- 33:54Speaker 5: and said, you cannot listen to that album.
- 33:55Speaker 2: I don't care what you do. Don't put it on.
- 33:57Speaker 9: You know what.
- 33:57Speaker 2: I'm like that Ship anyway.
- 34:00Speaker 5: As a child, I played it anyway, and I listened
- 34:03Speaker 5: to it anyway, and I didn't. But but the fact
- 34:05Speaker 5: of the matter is because kids are gonna do what
- 34:08Speaker 5: they want to do regardless.
- 34:09Speaker 2: But as a parent, you have to give your child
- 34:11Speaker 2: guard red.
- 34:14Speaker 3: Anyway.
- 34:14Speaker 2: No, but this is what I'm saying.
- 34:16Speaker 5: But this is what I'm going back to raise your
- 34:17Speaker 5: kids because Parker can't listen to Young Miami in front
- 34:22Speaker 5: of my face.
- 34:23Speaker 2: I'm not in the house singing the Ship with my kid.
- 34:26Speaker 5: I'm not in the house playing the unfiltered records in
- 34:29Speaker 5: front of my kids. I'm not in the car playing
- 34:32Speaker 5: the unfiltered records in front of my kids.
- 34:34Speaker 2: You have to tell your child this is not for you.
- 34:38Speaker 5: Now, the kids are going to try, They're gonna sneak,
- 34:40Speaker 5: they gonna want to see, they're gonna want to get
- 34:42Speaker 5: to know. But as a parent, you have to let
- 34:44Speaker 5: them know this is not for you. This is not
- 34:46Speaker 5: for your age range. It is that you cannot play
- 34:52Speaker 5: in your house in front of your children.
- 34:54Speaker 2: I don't give a fun.
- 34:55Speaker 4: We have to admit that the culture that we are
- 34:59Speaker 4: celebrating is deteriorating us as a society.
- 35:04Speaker 10: That we grew up on better. First of all, he
- 35:07Speaker 10: just mentioned ex clan public enemy. He mentioned I'm not talking.
- 35:12Speaker 10: I can I can tell when ship went downhill and
- 35:17Speaker 10: Uncle Lucan them this all types and juice and.
- 35:25Speaker 4: Out here things were celebratory.
- 35:29Speaker 3: They danced.
- 35:30Speaker 4: It wasn't about violence, and then it became that it
- 35:32Speaker 4: became bitches and holes and drugs and beers, and it
- 35:36Speaker 4: just everything went.
- 35:39Speaker 3: Now he cannot let me hold war because me tight.
- 35:43Speaker 4: I'm sorry forgetting you type, but I have a I disagree,
- 35:47Speaker 4: and I think that there needs to be some personal
- 35:49Speaker 4: responsibility from us on what we are influencing our kids.
- 35:53Speaker 4: And they're looking at us, they emulate us. They look
- 35:57Speaker 4: and see who's cool, and there only with you from
- 36:01Speaker 4: six to nine, they go to sleep. They wake up
- 36:03Speaker 4: at five thirty six, and they go and they spend
- 36:07Speaker 4: the rest of their day looking at what society thinks
- 36:11Speaker 4: is fucking cool.
- 36:12Speaker 5: No, and that's that's where parenting comes in. Because I
- 36:15Speaker 5: remember sitting on this fucking couch and y'all niggas telling
- 36:18Speaker 5: me like I'm mad.
- 36:19Speaker 3: You're not either that I'm.
- 36:21Speaker 2: Mad straight in my house either.
- 36:23Speaker 5: But no, it is straight because as a parent, right,
- 36:27Speaker 5: my kid is not allowed to watch YouTube. My kid
- 36:29Speaker 5: is not watching music videos. I do feelter the music
- 36:32Speaker 5: that she listens to.
- 36:33Speaker 2: I do go.
- 36:34Speaker 5: She's not allowed to do certain things, She's not allowed
- 36:36Speaker 5: to watch certain things, be around certain things, because that's
- 36:39Speaker 5: what parenting is. There are songs like I said, I'm
- 36:42Speaker 5: gonna listen to the Young Miamis and the Plutos of
- 36:44Speaker 5: the world. I'm gonna listen to Monolay. I'm listening to
- 36:46Speaker 5: all that shit, but not in the house with my kid. Well,
- 36:50Speaker 5: my kid is in the house that's never getting played.
- 36:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:53Speaker 7: I just got jumping real quick before because I could
- 36:57Speaker 7: agree and I could personally give a testimonial to what
- 37:01Speaker 7: Tah was saying. Like we even as growing up in
- 37:04Speaker 7: a two parent household with great role models in the house,
- 37:08Speaker 7: we were still impression impressionable with these rappers and stuff
- 37:14Speaker 7: like I remember in like the late eighties early nineties
- 37:17Speaker 7: ex Clan, Public Enemy Brand Nubian, everybody was god body,
- 37:21Speaker 7: everybody was positive, black medallions, no gold, like that was
- 37:24Speaker 7: the move that was the vibe. We was all on it.
- 37:27Speaker 7: And then ninety three switch it was. It was a
- 37:30Speaker 7: switch Wu Tang Mob Deep Death Row Records, and I
- 37:36Speaker 7: remember this were the same kids, but now we got
- 37:39Speaker 7: bandana's wrapped around the head, ball heads, Onyx and all
- 37:43Speaker 7: this shit. And what happened. We get in a fucking
- 37:46Speaker 7: big fight and get kicked out of college and we
- 37:48Speaker 7: back home. I cannot tell you that that shit was
- 37:52Speaker 7: not an influence. Was an influence like we were. That
- 37:56Speaker 7: was That's who we were influenced by. That was the
- 37:59Speaker 7: culture that I smoke weed every day, five times a day,
- 38:03Speaker 7: partially because my favorite rappers were doing the same, red Man,
- 38:06Speaker 7: black Wood, all of them. I can't say I wasn't influenced.
- 38:09Speaker 7: And this I'm come. I grew up the way you're
- 38:12Speaker 7: supposed to grow up with parents. That was in my life.
- 38:14Speaker 7: But it's still we can't we can't give that argument
- 38:17Speaker 7: that we are not impressiable. These kids are impressionable.
- 38:20Speaker 5: These kids are super impressionable. And this is what I'm saying,
- 38:23Speaker 5: like there are guardrails as a parent. You have to
- 38:26Speaker 5: be super hyper vigilant. It's these damn phones you need
- 38:29Speaker 5: to get off your phone to and see what the
- 38:31Speaker 5: fuck your kids are doing. And I don't care if
- 38:33Speaker 5: I run a strict program in my house. I run
- 38:35Speaker 5: a strict program in my house. I don't care if
- 38:37Speaker 5: I say everybody in this house got to stop for
- 38:39Speaker 5: a hour and read a book. And when I say everybody,
- 38:42Speaker 5: I mean everybody in this house. I don't care if
- 38:44Speaker 5: you're just visiting this house. This man, everybody in this house,
- 38:46Speaker 5: it doesn't matter.
- 38:47Speaker 4: Like this man just told you how much program in
- 38:50Speaker 4: his parents put it in Jack and I don't believe it.
- 38:52Speaker 4: They had him in days Chiki's, they had him doing
- 38:55Speaker 4: all these things around positive black successful. But the minute
- 39:00Speaker 4: keep find somebody that you too, we don't like that.
- 39:07Speaker 3: So so let me let me, let me spend this.
- 39:09Speaker 4: All right, because you talking about early ninetyes hip hop,
- 39:11Speaker 4: and I could I could spend to you right from
- 39:13Speaker 4: the cribbean side, all right. I grew up listening to
- 39:16Speaker 4: lib Scart Big Massive. My name is mel Vimes because
- 39:20Speaker 4: I thought I wanted to be like Vibecar. I'm talking
- 39:22Speaker 4: about everything he's saying about live even though it was
- 39:25Speaker 4: completely toxic and pointanus toxic.
- 39:27Speaker 3: STU tell me when set me free, come on. Everybody say,
- 39:30Speaker 3: I got it right.
- 39:31Speaker 4: We all singing and we won't want to be And
- 39:33Speaker 4: it is true, like no matter how much upbringing you
- 39:36Speaker 4: may have had, the minute something resonates in your brain.
- 39:39Speaker 3: I don't know what it is in your psyche all
- 39:41Speaker 3: of a sudden, this like that ship. What he said?
- 39:44Speaker 3: What he on?
- 39:45Speaker 4: So yes, the young and yes, yes, I don't necessarily
- 39:48Speaker 4: agree with the kind of music that are influencing our women.
- 39:52Speaker 4: I can say that, But who's in control of that?
- 39:56Speaker 4: And why are they allowing that to happen? That is
- 39:58Speaker 4: the bigger question. It's not even a young man, young
- 40:00Speaker 4: young Miami's not the problem.
- 40:01Speaker 3: I definitely don't agree. She's the problem. Is not the problem.
- 40:03Speaker 3: That is not the problem. Cardi b ain't a problem.
- 40:07Speaker 4: It's why are these things constantly being allowed to be
- 40:11Speaker 4: forced into our heads and into our kids heads? Why
- 40:14Speaker 4: are these things constantly being allowed to force the other
- 40:15Speaker 4: kids and kids head? That is where the bigger question lies.
- 40:18Speaker 4: And once we figure out, once we really get to
- 40:20Speaker 4: the root of that, and we can kind of figure out,
- 40:21Speaker 4: like the rest of the shit, I think I.
- 40:24Speaker 2: Think I realized why I don't understand y'all are men.
- 40:31Speaker 5: We listen to the same music, and I was not
- 40:33Speaker 5: as impressed upon the music as y'all probably were because
- 40:37Speaker 5: I'm a girl. But I think that now that the
- 40:41Speaker 5: music is more female rap centered than it is male
- 40:46Speaker 5: rap centered, that the that the girls have more of
- 40:49Speaker 5: like the toxic type of music as the boys did
- 40:52Speaker 5: growing up, and that the boys do have so now
- 40:54Speaker 5: it's becoming like a different issue. But I also think
- 40:58Speaker 5: that we raise our daughters.
- 41:03Speaker 2: Like daughters are raised.
- 41:04Speaker 5: We have way more rules and restrictions and all of
- 41:07Speaker 5: that from birthday y'all probably ever had, which is another
- 41:11Speaker 5: reason why I don't. I don't see it as being
- 41:14Speaker 5: like a big issue because I know, like I would
- 41:16Speaker 5: have got my ass handed to me like rag dragged
- 41:20Speaker 5: if I even tried to emulate any of the music
- 41:23Speaker 5: that I listened to, So I kept it just to
- 41:26Speaker 5: listening to it.
- 41:26Speaker 3: You only had you had.
- 41:29Speaker 5: Yes, Kim fove No, he was like that even she.
- 41:36Speaker 4: Had left, it was a limited amount left. I want
- 41:42Speaker 4: to I want to be I want to be clear.
- 41:44Speaker 4: I do not want to focus just on the women
- 41:46Speaker 4: with this. I'm talking about the entire culture of what
- 41:50Speaker 4: we're putting out there as cool and fire.
- 41:53Speaker 3: The drill rap. My God, send me a drill rap.
- 41:57Speaker 4: That's all he talked about was putting people in and
- 42:00Speaker 4: he had to live that he was doing all this shit.
- 42:03Speaker 4: I didn't even understand. I'm telling you that gone, and
- 42:06Speaker 4: this is what they all do. So once you we
- 42:10Speaker 4: have to realize that what we are what we are
- 42:13Speaker 4: pushing out there. You and I have built certain systems
- 42:16Speaker 4: in our life that we like. I can fuck whether
- 42:19Speaker 4: I'm at and staying on the couch at for am,
- 42:21Speaker 4: I'm on my way to.
- 42:22Speaker 3: Work at six thirty, Yeah, I don't. If I'm dragging
- 42:26Speaker 3: myself to work at eight o'clock, I gotta be at work.
- 42:32Speaker 3: These kids don't have that.
- 42:34Speaker 4: They will literally go to school and be in the
- 42:37Speaker 4: stairwell or in the bathroom and fuck, they hold shit
- 42:41Speaker 4: up and us as parents, we can't. We have to
- 42:44Speaker 4: realize what the programming is doing to us. And I'm
- 42:49Speaker 4: also gonna say I tried to say it before you
- 42:52Speaker 4: was trying to prove your point, and I think the
- 42:53Speaker 4: women are just balking at the fact, like, Yo, what
- 42:55Speaker 4: y'all think it's talking about a k's and and y'all
- 42:59Speaker 4: wasn't y'all not doing nothing? But as soon as Meg
- 43:02Speaker 4: twerk or as soon as your Miami does this. It's
- 43:04Speaker 4: a whole thing which is going into patriarchy misogy. You
- 43:08Speaker 4: want to know whatever whatever it is, but very quickly,
- 43:14Speaker 4: it's fucking us up too. It's fucking the men and
- 43:18Speaker 4: the women relationship ship up to. It's fucking the way
- 43:21Speaker 4: the men are viewing themselves too, in our behaviors. It's
- 43:24Speaker 4: fucking with the way the women are showing up and
- 43:27Speaker 4: y'all behaviors. It's fucking like the oh, spend your money, yo.
- 43:31Speaker 4: I was over here last week with niggas that was
- 43:33Speaker 4: talking about spend it. They bought a table and the
- 43:36Speaker 4: table was five grand, and why this nigga didn't put
- 43:39Speaker 4: up thirteen hundred for the table? But he ain't have enough,
- 43:42Speaker 4: He didn't buy nothing. It's like, yo, bro, why is
- 43:46Speaker 4: that our culture?
- 43:47Speaker 3: We ain't got.
- 43:48Speaker 4: Enough, We don't own shitt to be trying to prove
- 43:52Speaker 4: to each I got thirteen hundred to be putting down
- 43:55Speaker 4: because you, my man is sitting at a table and
- 43:57Speaker 4: drink liquid that five more expensive inside this club then
- 44:01Speaker 4: it is outside.
- 44:02Speaker 3: I just did that, So why are we doing this?
- 44:05Speaker 3: Niggas is crazy?
- 44:07Speaker 4: Two three thousand dollars outfits and going to sleep in
- 44:11Speaker 4: their moms cris So let me say this, Let me
- 44:12Speaker 4: say this about the Creacian thing real quick before you'all
- 44:14Speaker 4: move on to that. Right here is where the issue
- 44:17Speaker 4: is always going to lie because the thought processes. Women
- 44:21Speaker 4: are the first mothers, the first teachers, right, the women.
- 44:26Speaker 4: And I'm people gonna disagree, but this is some of
- 44:28Speaker 4: the thought process that I can. I can gather women
- 44:31Speaker 4: the first teachers. So what are you teaching if that's
- 44:33Speaker 4: what you're promoting? Like, what do you I mean the
- 44:35Speaker 4: first thing you're supposed to be teaching is in the
- 44:38Speaker 4: house as a mom?
- 44:41Speaker 3: Right?
- 44:42Speaker 4: What are you right? Is how to conduct yourself? How
- 44:47Speaker 4: do how do how to structure yourself? How are you
- 44:50Speaker 4: supposed to be outside? How are you supposed to function outside?
- 44:52Speaker 3: But then they may look at somebody that say that, God,
- 44:55Speaker 3: I mean no, seriously.
- 44:57Speaker 2: No, I mean seriously, right, friend, Now you have fun?
- 45:01Speaker 3: No, finish? No, I'm not I'm not scared. I'm saying no,
- 45:04Speaker 3: I'm not.
- 45:06Speaker 4: What I'm saying is like, So that's why that's why
- 45:08Speaker 4: Karesha particularly is gonna take this taking the flat like
- 45:11Speaker 4: or you said you make the saion or they're going
- 45:13Speaker 4: to take the flat, because that's how some people are
- 45:15Speaker 4: looking at this.
- 45:16Speaker 5: Same Listen, everybody got to parent their kids. Like mothers
- 45:23Speaker 5: are not the first teachers. Your parents are your first teachers.
- 45:26Speaker 5: Your father being there or not being there is your
- 45:28Speaker 5: first teacher. What your parents allow you to be around
- 45:32Speaker 5: and be exposed to at a certain age are your
- 45:35Speaker 5: first teachers. I think this goes back to the conversation
- 45:38Speaker 5: that we had a couple of weeks ago to how
- 45:39Speaker 5: when we were talking about how there's no like separation
- 45:43Speaker 5: between what we listen to and what our kids listen to,
- 45:46Speaker 5: like we're doing all the same things. And I think
- 45:49Speaker 5: that that's also part of the problem. And a lot
- 45:51Speaker 5: of households, you your Sunday clean up music cannot be
- 45:55Speaker 5: motherfucking Kreisha agree, like it can't. Like you have to
- 45:59Speaker 5: make a con just decision on how you choose to
- 46:02Speaker 5: show up in the eyes of your child, point blank, period.
- 46:07Speaker 4: But there's nothing else to talk about. This is what
- 46:08Speaker 4: people are, This is what people are giving. Like a
- 46:11Speaker 4: lot of these female artists some flack about like I
- 46:12Speaker 4: feel that that's part of the reason they.
- 46:14Speaker 5: Get just the same way, Kim said back in the day.
- 46:18Speaker 5: It's not my job to raise y'all kids. It's your
- 46:20Speaker 5: job to raise your kids. I'm rapping for and I'm
- 46:23Speaker 5: talking to motherfucking adults at the end of the day.
- 46:27Speaker 5: What the music the music industry is kind of putting
- 46:30Speaker 5: our kids at a disservice because we don't have the
- 46:32Speaker 5: beat K's anymore. We don't have the Little bow Wows
- 46:35Speaker 5: and the Little Romeos anymore. Like the kids don't have
- 46:38Speaker 5: their own artists to look up to anymore, so they're
- 46:41Speaker 5: listening to the same thing that the adults and the
- 46:43Speaker 5: parents are listening to. What we have more of, We
- 46:46Speaker 5: have more of a variety when we were growing up
- 46:49Speaker 5: back in the day, like the Britney spears Is and
- 46:51Speaker 5: the Christina and the Backstreet Boys, and they don't exist
- 46:53Speaker 5: any the insyncts.
- 46:55Speaker 2: They're not here. So that's part of the problem, yes,
- 46:58Speaker 2: But as a parent all so, you have to filter
- 47:02Speaker 2: what you have and what you do around your kids.
- 47:04Speaker 2: It can't be I'm grown, so no, you gotta turn
- 47:08Speaker 2: shit off when your kids is in the house. You
- 47:10Speaker 2: gotta put your own headphones on when your kids is
- 47:13Speaker 2: in the house.
- 47:13Speaker 5: You gotta your kid walk in the room. You gotta
- 47:15Speaker 5: pause Love Island. You can't let the shit play out
- 47:17Speaker 5: when the kid, the baby walking in the room. Like
- 47:19Speaker 5: there's certain things you can't do. Maybe you can't watch
- 47:21Speaker 5: Love Island in the house like me. Sometimes I gotta
- 47:25Speaker 5: watch that shit on my work computer.
- 47:26Speaker 3: I agree with you, Dosh.
- 47:27Speaker 7: My only pushback is it reminds me of when you
- 47:31Speaker 7: tell kids do what I say, not do what I do.
- 47:34Speaker 7: So if we're listening to it in our spare time,
- 47:36Speaker 7: even if the kids aren't around, then you're still setting
- 47:40Speaker 7: an example. If you don't want the kids to absorb
- 47:43Speaker 7: it and you think it's toxic, then maybe I think
- 47:46Speaker 7: the best thing we should do is not support that music. No,
- 47:49Speaker 7: if you personally don't feel like this is it's appropriate
- 47:52Speaker 7: for black people. And here's the thing, And I'm not
- 47:55Speaker 7: saying that we will. I'm not saying that we boycott here.
- 47:58Speaker 7: I'm not saying that we cancel her. I think there's
- 48:00Speaker 7: room for everybody to exist as an artist, especially if
- 48:03Speaker 7: you're authentic. If that's who you are, authentically are, then
- 48:07Speaker 7: and that's your art.
- 48:09Speaker 3: No, I disagree with you.
- 48:11Speaker 2: Listen send that all summer.
- 48:12Speaker 5: I'm be on the table to going to have a summer,
- 48:17Speaker 5: and I do, and I am having. I'm having agreed
- 48:19Speaker 5: to take the consequences. I don't have no cous with
- 48:22Speaker 5: my child though.
- 48:23Speaker 4: Listen because you don't know yet, I know, yo, I
- 48:27Speaker 4: don't want no. She ain't going to a combo you
- 48:35Speaker 4: listen none that stuff around your kid when you're driving it.
- 48:38Speaker 3: Come on, you ain't singing along?
- 48:40Speaker 7: Good question in the coming Do y'all think these types
- 48:43Speaker 7: of songs affect adults?
- 48:47Speaker 3: Of course?
- 48:49Speaker 7: I remember when I was DJing in the strip club. Yo,
- 48:51Speaker 7: there's certain songs that come on niggas.
- 48:54Speaker 4: Automatically, automatically your energy, automatically, psychology, more money.
- 49:00Speaker 3: He's crazy, crazy, crazy niggas is going crazy.
- 49:03Speaker 7: It's crazy. Just off the vibrations of a certain song
- 49:05Speaker 7: is crazy.
- 49:06Speaker 4: My man just came home from prison, right we spoke
- 49:08Speaker 4: about his son, passion man.
- 49:11Speaker 3: Don't clip this, Drew, don't clip this.
- 49:15Speaker 4: The nigga so he's been get if y'all been seeing
- 49:20Speaker 4: me with a lot of designer cloak, he's a super
- 49:22Speaker 4: crazy boost, probably the crazy burger craziest boost in the world.
- 49:28Speaker 4: Like when he when he needs something, he'll go get
- 49:33Speaker 4: whatever and return it for the credit to be like, yo,
- 49:35Speaker 4: I got the credit or yo, I got these whatever.
- 49:38Speaker 4: He knows my size is everything now right, so he's
- 49:40Speaker 4: bringing me proud of I just got some fucking ship
- 49:43Speaker 4: that I ain't never seen before. Ship that's pants seventeen dollars.
- 49:48Speaker 4: He sold many pants for three hundred dollars. Seventeen hundred
- 49:51Speaker 4: dollars pants right. Wait, so he because he's like, I
- 49:55Speaker 4: need this flight. I gotta get to Ruggs party and
- 49:58Speaker 4: uh Miami in the Miami right this weekend, five in
- 50:04Speaker 4: the morning. This nigga, Yo, I need five hundred, I
- 50:08Speaker 4: need five hundred.
- 50:09Speaker 3: I got you.
- 50:10Speaker 4: I got Valentine Valentino jacket, these two Valantino shirts. This
- 50:13Speaker 4: done that ever because he's in the party that he
- 50:16Speaker 4: needs to buy it up.
- 50:17Speaker 3: Yeah, you ain't even got.
- 50:21Speaker 4: Nothing, but listen, he always gonna have Burger. Don't do
- 50:25Speaker 4: that's gonna have. But it's the influence of what's going
- 50:28Speaker 4: on around you to have to stay in the Joneses
- 50:32Speaker 4: and calling your working homeboy with five kids, that you
- 50:37Speaker 4: willing that grand not a five.
- 50:46Speaker 2: I don't believe spending full price for Yeah.
- 50:51Speaker 4: I like I support the booster, Yes I do. I'm sorry,
- 50:53Speaker 4: I will give the boosters my money. I'm sorry, I do.
- 50:56Speaker 3: I do as well. Gate Keeper. You're worringing for a time, Bro,
- 51:00Speaker 3: I need a link, bro, you're talking about you don't want.
- 51:05Speaker 5: A jay z T shirt. I want a Valentino jacket.
- 51:08Speaker 5: That's not even comfortable. Bro, you're a wow.
- 51:13Speaker 2: That time.
- 51:20Speaker 4: I feel like we're too comfortable as the people. I
- 51:22Speaker 4: feel like and I feel like we go for anything.
- 51:26Speaker 4: I feel like we know a lot of people are
- 51:27Speaker 4: right now like the shut fuck it, yo. That's a
- 51:30Speaker 4: lot of a lot of people, a lot of people
- 51:32Speaker 4: in that frame, a lot of people on that mind frame.
- 51:34Speaker 3: It's like, you know what I mean, Like that good face.
- 51:38Speaker 3: I like that face that you just.
- 51:40Speaker 7: When I said Krisha, that's authentically who she is and
- 51:43Speaker 7: she got a right to make the music. You disagree
- 51:45Speaker 7: with why so.
- 51:47Speaker 4: I disagree that we should I disagree that we like Yo,
- 51:52Speaker 4: we should have that. That should be Yo. They're pushing
- 51:55Speaker 4: that on us because they see the effect the black
- 51:58Speaker 4: dollar don't even stay in the community at all, Bro.
- 52:02Speaker 4: We are suffering because we are not in control of
- 52:05Speaker 4: our own power. They're doing whatever they want with us.
- 52:07Speaker 4: We're spending our money just to stay in the Joneses
- 52:10Speaker 4: or whatever, and they're pushing it on its every which way.
- 52:13Speaker 4: You think it's a it's by it like happens since
- 52:17Speaker 4: that all of the ship is in front of us.
- 52:19Speaker 4: They're the ones who control hours degradation of our people.
- 52:22Speaker 4: It's on purpose, they control it, and they're doing it
- 52:25Speaker 4: in every which way.
- 52:26Speaker 3: Listen.
- 52:28Speaker 4: When I first heard the ship, I said, no, this
- 52:31Speaker 4: is gonna slap and I knew it was too slow.
- 52:33Speaker 4: I remember they sped it up to like one point
- 52:35Speaker 4: five and shit, and I was like, yesterday I was
- 52:42Speaker 4: talking about the ship. I was like, Yo, why y'all
- 52:43Speaker 4: hate and let the girl do her thing. I'm not
- 52:45Speaker 4: proud that she's doing her thing on on a deeper,
- 52:50Speaker 4: deeper level, so much more. It's so much more to
- 52:52Speaker 4: it and what are we and what do we stand for?
- 52:56Speaker 7: Can be true, Yes, the music industry does push certain
- 53:00Speaker 7: records and that might be part of the whole propaganda
- 53:03Speaker 7: and everything, but also the alternative is what censorship. You
- 53:07Speaker 7: don't think that the artists that grew grow up and
- 53:10Speaker 7: that's their truth, that's who they authentically are, should be
- 53:13Speaker 7: able to make art reflecting that, whether it's negative or positive.
- 53:17Speaker 7: He has a point he has. Artistry is artistry.
- 53:20Speaker 4: But we also shouldn't be pushing certain people's trauma onto
- 53:24Speaker 4: our community. Here's just a whore because you was out
- 53:31Speaker 4: selling pussy and all that. No, I don't want my
- 53:33Speaker 4: daughter listening to your music. I'm sorry, but you don't
- 53:36Speaker 4: support say that.
- 53:37Speaker 7: I don't have to support it. But people that identify
- 53:39Speaker 7: with that, let them support it.
- 53:40Speaker 5: But y'all can't say that because again, you talk about
- 53:43Speaker 5: the music that that that y'all was, y'all was already
- 53:46Speaker 5: kind of grown. When I'm talking about the music that
- 53:48Speaker 5: I'm growing up on. You're talking about like the n
- 53:51Speaker 5: W as you're talking about the selling of the drugs,
- 53:54Speaker 5: the fuck the police and all of that stuff. These
- 53:55Speaker 5: are real life experience and people, I fun up your
- 54:00Speaker 5: ship because what why did it fuck up your ship?
- 54:04Speaker 5: Because I listened to the music too, and I was
- 54:06Speaker 5: not fucked up. I'm telling you it's just.
- 54:08Speaker 4: Because I didn't identify with the artists we was just
- 54:11Speaker 4: raised identify. It opened your mind mentally to something different,
- 54:14Speaker 4: like if you if you were from the suburbs, like
- 54:16Speaker 4: if you was a kid from a suburbs fun and
- 54:18Speaker 4: then the NW ain't came on ICEQ came on all
- 54:20Speaker 4: of a sudden, you be like, yeah, I could.
- 54:24Speaker 3: Like it automatically changed.
- 54:26Speaker 4: It literally does something to the psychia the people, and
- 54:28Speaker 4: it's it's like literally by I really just thought.
- 54:31Speaker 5: I just think that music is fun and and certain
- 54:34Speaker 5: songs are meant to have fun with. It's not meant
- 54:37Speaker 5: to be serious. I don't want to be deadass about it.
- 54:39Speaker 5: I don't want to do a whole like dissect of
- 54:41Speaker 5: what the music means and it's deeper meaning and that.
- 54:43Speaker 5: I think some things are just supposed to be fun
- 54:45Speaker 5: and some things are supposed to be intentional.
- 54:47Speaker 4: Yeah, but in the grand scheme of things, that's kind
- 54:49Speaker 4: of what they want people to feel. Like, Nah, just
- 54:51Speaker 4: enjoy the music, not realizing the psychological impact that it
- 54:54Speaker 4: truly is having consistently like that's that's literally by design.
- 54:58Speaker 5: Like but I think then that and as adults again
- 55:01Speaker 5: we are allowed to control that and control our spaces.
- 55:04Speaker 5: Like for me personally, I my my my younger friends
- 55:08Speaker 5: make fun of me all the time because I have
- 55:10Speaker 5: a Pandora. I don't really do Spotify Apple Music, It's
- 55:13Speaker 5: kind of trash, but I do have Pandora. If I'm
- 55:16Speaker 5: listening to music on Pandora. If I open my Pandora
- 55:19Speaker 5: right now, it's like Anita Baker station.
- 55:22Speaker 3: It's like.
- 55:24Speaker 5: What Aretha Franklin station, Erika Bad station? Like these are
- 55:27Speaker 5: the things that I listen to all the time, Like
- 55:29Speaker 5: I'm really in my Auntie vibe. But when I want
- 55:31Speaker 5: to go out and I want to have fun, I
- 55:32Speaker 5: want to hear all of these stupid as songs. But
- 55:35Speaker 5: these are not the songs that are that are in
- 55:37Speaker 5: my house. These are not the songs that I'm playing
- 55:39Speaker 5: all the time. I have like my my barsts and
- 55:42Speaker 5: all of this stuff, Like these are the songs that
- 55:44Speaker 5: I'm playing in my house all the time on my speakers.
- 55:47Speaker 5: I'm not playing bullshit because I understand that I have
- 55:50Speaker 5: a seven year old at home, not that I don't
- 55:53Speaker 5: listen to it, not that I don't enjoy it. I
- 55:55Speaker 5: just have to enjoy things in the spaces in which
- 55:57Speaker 5: I'm supposed to enjoy it, which is out, which is
- 56:00Speaker 5: the club, which is at the lounge, which is when
- 56:02Speaker 5: I'm out with my girls.
- 56:03Speaker 2: But when I'm with my kids, I can't. I can't
- 56:07Speaker 2: turn it on.
- 56:07Speaker 4: Does that not go back to the point I was
- 56:08Speaker 4: trying to make about women being the first teachers and
- 56:10Speaker 4: the first example leaders.
- 56:12Speaker 3: Does that go backs parents?
- 56:14Speaker 4: No, No, But I'm talking about the female artists that
- 56:17Speaker 4: becauld Now if Kresia and female artists are taking flak
- 56:20Speaker 4: for what they're also kind of pushing out. So does
- 56:22Speaker 4: that kind of go back to the well like you
- 56:26Speaker 4: lead by example.
- 56:27Speaker 2: I guess.
- 56:28Speaker 5: But I think that that also goes into I really
- 56:30Speaker 5: believe that there is a time and place for things,
- 56:32Speaker 5: and I think that certain things kids should not be
- 56:34Speaker 5: exposed to. They just shouldn't. I'm gonna continue to run.
- 56:38Speaker 2: A tight ship in my house for as long as
- 56:39Speaker 2: I possibly can.
- 56:40Speaker 4: I can't even say I got a gun song, So
- 56:42Speaker 4: I can't even I can't and it works, but I
- 56:45Speaker 4: know I can't. But I'm also we're making it. We're
- 56:48Speaker 4: looking at like you said, two things could be true
- 56:50Speaker 4: at the same time. The song has a groove that
- 56:53Speaker 4: you can deny when you hear it, whether you like
- 56:55Speaker 4: the message or not the song, because me, I don't.
- 56:57Speaker 4: I don't necessarily agree with the message. But when you're
- 56:59Speaker 4: hearing it and you got a little slippy your hand,
- 57:01Speaker 4: you got a girlfriend, you and can come on and
- 57:03Speaker 4: like look the work because the question not trying to
- 57:07Speaker 4: hear sins scamming. You ain't trying to hear when you
- 57:09Speaker 4: but when you're in that mood, like you said, when
- 57:11Speaker 4: you're in that zone, that space is like.
- 57:13Speaker 2: There's our older scamming as niggas.
- 57:16Speaker 3: Okay, there's a question asked. I just showed you one.
- 57:20Speaker 4: There's a a video that I was listening to that
- 57:25Speaker 4: I saw, but it brought up a different question for me. Obviously,
- 57:30Speaker 4: I am going to play it.
- 57:32Speaker 3: That's what I do. I really like playing videos on
- 57:34Speaker 3: clip inside of the clip right inception in this.
- 57:38Speaker 8: Whole my uncle Webluce, I've ever heard of my foot
- 57:41Speaker 8: wove Uncle Weblus, I've ever heard of my fucking life?
- 57:44Speaker 2: Three five Il cool Day.
- 57:46Speaker 9: The single clap.
- 57:47Speaker 2: Hands mcs really make me sick. I'm so bad.
- 57:52Speaker 3: I gotta say Vera. However, before Extreme Bean her single bite,
- 58:02Speaker 3: if I had the chance to grin advising his hit,
- 58:04Speaker 3: I'm just fucking by said the.
- 58:06Speaker 2: Seat to huh. He'll know, he'll know what I'm talking.
- 58:10Speaker 4: Number three m C like on too Young for what
- 58:13Speaker 4: was absolutely fucking tweaking.
- 58:15Speaker 8: It may sound nasty and it may sound mean, but
- 58:17Speaker 8: I'm into little boys that are about seventeen.
- 58:20Speaker 2: I don't know why, but they put up for fucking
- 58:23Speaker 2: damn that excites the MC like, man.
- 58:25Speaker 3: You know my love for young, the purepulum.
- 58:30Speaker 5: Whole, your whole generation, crazy Christ back to a make
- 58:34Speaker 5: it and if you got an order, old feeny.
- 58:38Speaker 3: Ooh that's not what it was.
- 58:40Speaker 2: The attended pause brow. A lot of y'all like to argue, Oh,
- 58:44Speaker 2: it's just just sat tire for some metaphor was just
- 58:45Speaker 2: the thing, But it's song. I don't give a fuck.
- 58:46Speaker 3: We would really do that.
- 58:47Speaker 2: You don't know that, man, You don't know that, lady.
- 58:49Speaker 3: Somebody out there would.
- 58:50Speaker 2: And they use this as fuel at the number one
- 58:52Speaker 2: spot after the prayer.
- 58:53Speaker 3: After this it's ugk the song.
- 58:55Speaker 2: I don't want to repeat this preignants.
- 58:57Speaker 3: I can say this clock give a kid split up?
- 59:05Speaker 3: BA know, if she gotta it ain't fun. But if
- 59:11Speaker 3: she gotta girl.
- 59:12Speaker 2: Tennis to the store a PC of one, what the funk?
- 59:17Speaker 11: Like?
- 59:17Speaker 3: What the fuck?
- 59:20Speaker 9: God?
- 59:21Speaker 2: I've been telling y'all generation y'all are fucked up. Y'all
- 59:24Speaker 2: are really y'all was really fucked up, and y'all was
- 59:26Speaker 2: really young. Y'all ain't have no there was no I
- 59:30Speaker 2: never heard them.
- 59:32Speaker 4: I never scamming ass niggas spinning spinde.
- 59:37Speaker 12: Yeah, that's why the whole ship is man funny to
- 59:39Speaker 12: me because it's like the whole Yah, I don't even understand.
- 59:45Speaker 3: I don't even know wherey'll take this question. Yeah, damn, I.
- 59:47Speaker 7: Do want to make a difference, though. There are certain
- 59:51Speaker 7: songs that the subject matter is terrible, but not all
- 59:56Speaker 7: of them. The hook, it's like a singalong song. It's
- 59:59Speaker 7: like infectious. I'm encouraging you to sing with me, like
- 1:00:02Speaker 7: the whole crowd sings a lot. It's different if it's
- 1:00:04Speaker 7: a sing a long hook. And it's also different if
- 1:00:07Speaker 7: it's like like the drill music, as terrible as it is.
- 1:00:10Speaker 7: None of the drill music hit records, they're not. None
- 1:00:13Speaker 7: of them is a song of the summer, like widespread
- 1:00:15Speaker 7: It's within a certain type community.
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: It's like a it's like a New York.
- 1:00:23Speaker 7: There's no sing along part of computers where where on
- 1:00:29Speaker 7: the level of the hook on spend that'work.
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: The thing for that from artistan point. I'm not saying that.
- 1:00:45Speaker 7: All these other songs were ignorant, but.
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: You could.
- 1:00:49Speaker 7: And again I'm not for canceling her or not playing
- 1:00:52Speaker 7: the song. But I could argue, like, yo, you got
- 1:00:55Speaker 7: to draw the line somewhere like some ship. It's a
- 1:00:57Speaker 7: little over the top because of how oh the song
- 1:01:01Speaker 7: is placed in the sing along aspect and it's in
- 1:01:03Speaker 7: the hook, it's not in the verse.
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: You know what's funny. It's funny to me that I
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: feel like people would have a conversation about Miami song. First,
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: let me say I apologize saying Miami I wrote her off.
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: I thought she was done.
- 1:01:19Speaker 12: So I want to apologize and say, Yo, my bad,
- 1:01:21Speaker 12: I thought you were done right, because it's important to
- 1:01:23Speaker 12: come back and be like, yo, I got that wrong.
- 1:01:26Speaker 12: So I definitely did that. Congrats on her for her song.
- 1:01:28Speaker 12: The record is moving, But I think it's funny that
- 1:01:31Speaker 12: people have this conversation about her in this record, and
- 1:01:33Speaker 12: it's like people are more mad at her for making
- 1:01:36Speaker 12: a record than the niggas that are actually scamming. Like
- 1:01:40Speaker 12: nobody will say nothing time, Like nobody's going to ever
- 1:01:44Speaker 12: say like hold on, why are we why these niggas,
- 1:01:46Speaker 12: Why are we just around these niggas, Like why are
- 1:01:48Speaker 12: we saluting these guys?
- 1:01:50Speaker 7: It's one thing for people to do, it's another thing
- 1:01:52Speaker 7: to celebrate it and.
- 1:01:55Speaker 12: But that's the same thing as hip hop though it's
- 1:01:57Speaker 12: one thing that gang bang is and I think it's
- 1:01:59Speaker 12: celebrated drug The drug deal was right, it's the same thing.
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: It can't we can't move rather a drug dealer than
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: a drug user. So, I mean, I don't know two
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: things can be true the same time. I think that's
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: just really what we got to kind of, especially with
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: this on this partictive topic. Two things can be true
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: at the same time.
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: But like, what was wrong with y'all?
- 1:02:19Speaker 5: Like, so y'all used to hear this ship on records
- 1:02:21Speaker 5: when y'all was growing up? Never I'm asking y'all specifically.
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: The reason I asked about this is because I saw
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: the criticism, and I've always seen the criticism for biggies
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: so good, yeah, crazy, and I just always felt like
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: nobody thought he was gay for that something.
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: What like what did y'all think? Did y'all think back
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: then singing that ship too?
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: Like we yo, we were in the era of Slick
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: Rick saying that he looked inside the girl's pushing He's
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: seen crabs and spears and Indian drums going hey, y'all, hey, y'all, hey,
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: y'all hate it was the era of just being as
- 1:03:02Speaker 4: impossible as ever, and it was shocked and we didn't
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: and everything to me wasn't paused. We wasn't gay people,
- 1:03:13Speaker 4: was not in the heterosexualm We wasn't thinking about gay people.
- 1:03:18Speaker 4: They was over there and they we had they that
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: was what they did and what we did with us,
- 1:03:23Speaker 4: and nobody was thinking about fucking niggas.
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: If you wasn't gay, we wasn't thinking about I see that.
- 1:03:29Speaker 12: I gotta disagree with you there because I think you're
- 1:03:31Speaker 12: you're taking the homosexuality part and replacing it with the
- 1:03:34Speaker 12: predatory part. And that's where I think that's where the
- 1:03:37Speaker 12: issue is not necessarily homosexuality. I think the predatory nature
- 1:03:41Speaker 12: of some of these records and some of the things
- 1:03:43Speaker 12: that sorry, some of the things that people are saying,
- 1:03:46Speaker 12: it's not that it's not about it being gay, it's
- 1:03:48Speaker 12: about it being predatory. It's about it being almost.
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: No, you're afraid to Paul, you're referring to it. I'm
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: talking about I'm not.
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: You're talking about all of them, about all this.
- 1:04:02Speaker 4: No, No, I was talking about Okay, big ship No, no,
- 1:04:06Speaker 4: not not the BIGGI ship was crazy, but mel the
- 1:04:09Speaker 4: mic I'm sorry, sorry, I'm sorry.
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: I got tired of us.
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: No, no, no, but this is what I'm saying.
- 1:04:17Speaker 5: Right for us to have this argument about young Miami
- 1:04:20Speaker 5: or any of like the rapping music that's starting, that
- 1:04:24Speaker 5: that's happening now, and the influence on children, but y'all
- 1:04:29Speaker 5: came from an error where y'all were saying things like
- 1:04:31Speaker 5: like you can't get none of those bars off today,
- 1:04:35Speaker 5: like not one of them.
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: No, you're listen.
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: We're talking about we went through the influence. We saw,
- 1:04:42Speaker 4: we felt that, we experienced it. We suffered from the influence.
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: That's what we're telling you.
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: But like we're telling you first hand why this is
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: a problem. Yeah, that this help shaped who we were.
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: Music is powerful. Yeah.
- 1:05:03Speaker 12: I definitely used to hear people back in the day
- 1:05:04Speaker 12: say that, like the records like any up ship like
- 1:05:06Speaker 12: that used to make them want to go.
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: We would fight, came out that get your brother. I've
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: heard that that growing up. That's I'm not always heard
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: growing up.
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: That was banging me. That was that was music, that
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: was that was So I think I think what it
- 1:05:23Speaker 4: is right, let me let me let me just say
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: this right even, let's just go back to the Miami
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: a whole country of ten year olds and eleven year
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: olds are singing yeah man, because and to to our point,
- 1:05:39Speaker 4: it's influential, right even just like the Biggie was and
- 1:05:43Speaker 4: all that stuff. But I don't know, did it seem
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: the same then, like did it seem as as potent
- 1:05:51Speaker 4: like a lot of the I want to say poisonous music?
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: Like the way it is now like is it's all
- 1:05:56Speaker 4: over in our face because it's from social media. It's everything.
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: Back then you to buy certain records to hear it.
- 1:06:02Speaker 4: It wasn't played on the radio, It wasn't in social media,
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: it wasn't on TV shows.
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: Biggie didn't have.
- 1:06:08Speaker 4: Uh not Love Island. They have reality TV to be
- 1:06:12Speaker 4: on to be singing that ship. So you heard it,
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: like if you bought the album, you knew the music.
- 1:06:15Speaker 4: You heard that, so you took good Suck your daddy.
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: They pause, right, But now it's creatious everywhere for every
- 1:06:22Speaker 4: age range. Again, whether you got your daughter, got an iPad,
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: you got a little iPad, it'll be clipped in somewhere
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: with some of the legos crap. And so that's that's
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: kind of what I feel like where the argument comes
- 1:06:36Speaker 4: in again, I agree with you. If the artist reflecting
- 1:06:39Speaker 4: a life that you live and you can sing about
- 1:06:41Speaker 4: it and make it sound harmonious, and then by all means,
- 1:06:45Speaker 4: then hell rock.
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: I don't. I don't, I'm not. I don't know why
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: people giving that that much, like, yeah, it's it's what
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: you're talking about, the trash, yes, but it's groovy and.
- 1:06:53Speaker 12: There like oh okay, I think it says more about
- 1:06:56Speaker 12: what hip hop is is today, where hip hop is today,
- 1:06:59Speaker 12: more than anything. Right, And the other day I went
- 1:07:02Speaker 12: to look just randomly sometimes I just go look at
- 1:07:04Speaker 12: the charts just to see what hip hop is up there, right,
- 1:07:06Speaker 12: because I want to know, you know, who's competing, who's
- 1:07:08Speaker 12: dominating along with the other genres. You know who's in
- 1:07:11Speaker 12: the top forty right now pop wise, hip hopwise Drake,
- 1:07:16Speaker 12: Drake Drake, and a bunch of people we can't even name,
- 1:07:18Speaker 12: Don Tolliver. There might be one person I'm missing in
- 1:07:23Speaker 12: young Miami. This is scattered from one to forty, right.
- 1:07:27Speaker 12: And as I looked at and Miami's record has gone
- 1:07:31Speaker 12: up like a good amount.
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: Of spots, like twenty five right now or something like that, right.
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: Nineteen or something like that. So what that tells me
- 1:07:39Speaker 3: is that the people.
- 1:07:40Speaker 12: Not only are the labels going to push it, right,
- 1:07:42Speaker 12: they're seeing that it's working online, so they're going to
- 1:07:44Speaker 12: push it, but also the people are consuming this.
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:07:47Speaker 12: We've gotten a lot of music this year from multiple
- 1:07:50Speaker 12: hip hop people, right, but it's not cutting through in
- 1:07:53Speaker 12: the same way that some of the music used to
- 1:07:55Speaker 12: cut through.
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: Right. Take it back to Little Baby right twenty eighteen. Right,
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: we always swing Baby, we.
- 1:08:02Speaker 12: Always see gun, and we always see certain people, and
- 1:08:05Speaker 12: you know, and that was I feel like what people
- 1:08:07Speaker 12: was listening to at a high clip. That's why you
- 1:08:09Speaker 12: see Baby and these people with the crazy metrics for
- 1:08:12Speaker 12: the last decade. So I think it's a mix between
- 1:08:15Speaker 12: the industry pushing that and only supporting that and what
- 1:08:19Speaker 12: we're listening to and buying as consumers, you know what
- 1:08:21Speaker 12: I'm saying. So I feel like both of those things
- 1:08:23Speaker 12: are winging on us right now in hip hop. And
- 1:08:26Speaker 12: that's why that's the record that we're looking forward to
- 1:08:28Speaker 12: because it's one of the only records that's bringing everybody
- 1:08:31Speaker 12: together outside of the Drakes of the world.
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: Right, It's not many.
- 1:08:34Speaker 12: It's not many records that guys and girls both universally
- 1:08:37Speaker 12: like together and sing along together with you know what
- 1:08:40Speaker 12: I'm saying, like that even that style of music is
- 1:08:43Speaker 12: like you know, it's not that many records. And you're
- 1:08:45Speaker 12: a DJ Trump, so you know very few records that
- 1:08:47Speaker 12: you know, like yo, I could go to this everybody.
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: There's no good party records.
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: That's the problem.
- 1:08:52Speaker 5: Like, so this is this, I feel like we're taking
- 1:08:55Speaker 5: a summer anthem and we're turning it into like talking
- 1:08:58Speaker 5: about it as if it's like a classic song, like
- 1:09:00Speaker 5: it's going to I don't think it's going to stand
- 1:09:02Speaker 5: the test of time.
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: I think it's just a party song. It's the summertime.
- 1:09:06Speaker 5: It's just a song that's going to get the party
- 1:09:08Speaker 5: going in the clubs right now in the summer. Remember,
- 1:09:11Speaker 5: nobody's gonna care now.
- 1:09:12Speaker 4: But it's also opening the debate for what is good
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: music and what is not? What should what should we
- 1:09:16Speaker 4: be pushing to our to our audiences, to the younger generation.
- 1:09:20Speaker 4: This really opens up the song a conversation that either
- 1:09:23Speaker 4: has been constantly skipped over or just really really just
- 1:09:26Speaker 4: needs to be had because realistically, like he's saying, it's
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: like you're saying it's summer or something, but it's also
- 1:09:31Speaker 4: opened to there's a lot of good music that people
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: to put in positive music, and it will never get airplay,
- 1:09:36Speaker 4: It will never get spun, it will never because the
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: labels are like, M we're going on that, yeah, give give.
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: Us, don't get the party going.
- 1:09:43Speaker 9: I do.
- 1:09:44Speaker 4: I do think that God is approaching this from the
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: wrong way because is this not just misogyny? Like, seriously,
- 1:09:53Speaker 4: this isn't the song that we need to be making
- 1:09:56Speaker 4: this argument.
- 1:09:57Speaker 3: Right this song? We were like, yo, we need to
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: change all of this. This isn't it.
- 1:10:07Speaker 4: If we was going to do that, we should have
- 1:10:08Speaker 4: did that way board with wop wet ass pussy, wet
- 1:10:15Speaker 4: ass pussy, which they did it, They did it, they did,
- 1:10:19Speaker 4: But that was the one where social media should have
- 1:10:22Speaker 4: been like, I mean, we see and then, but not
- 1:10:25Speaker 4: spend that fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh grade, eighth grade
- 1:10:28Speaker 4: girls talking about and this and and because it became cult.
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: It became a cultural part of surredictionary. So what is it?
- 1:10:37Speaker 3: What is it?
- 1:10:38Speaker 4: If it is misogyny, then what is men's problem with
- 1:10:42Speaker 4: the song? What's the male problem? Because right, realistically, it's
- 1:10:46Speaker 4: sounds like it's gonna sound like hate, it's gonna sound
- 1:10:49Speaker 4: like a lot of hate because why because you're mad
- 1:10:51Speaker 4: that that song is doing well and something's going sound.
- 1:10:54Speaker 5: You don't want your daughter's negatively influenced. But y'all are
- 1:10:56Speaker 5: okay with y'all sons being negatively influenced. And once you
- 1:11:00Speaker 5: have a female ledge song that talks about certain things
- 1:11:04Speaker 5: that y'all think that little girl going to attached to,
- 1:11:07Speaker 5: now everybody is going crazy. But you can have every
- 1:11:11Speaker 5: fucking song in the world talking about shoot them up,
- 1:11:14Speaker 5: kill them, fucking percocet, Molly peroset, everybody on lean, everybody
- 1:11:18Speaker 5: like everybody on these drugs and shit, because that impacts
- 1:11:21Speaker 5: your sons. But once you start talking about wet ass pussy,
- 1:11:24Speaker 5: and once you start talking about with all my scamming
- 1:11:26Speaker 5: ass niggas at the now everybody got a feeling.
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: Now everybody has an opinion because.
- 1:11:30Speaker 5: God forbid women put out music that are that that
- 1:11:33Speaker 5: is going to quote unquote influence young girls the wrong way.
- 1:11:37Speaker 5: It goes back to the same thing, y'all care more
- 1:11:40Speaker 5: about raising y'all daughters than y'all care about y'all fucking sons.
- 1:11:45Speaker 5: Y'all sons can listen to the bullshit all day.
- 1:11:49Speaker 9: Like Meg Dastagen is a good barometer for what you
- 1:11:51Speaker 9: think about black women.
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: I love Vin Smithson.
- 1:11:53Speaker 9: We recently told me she can't keep trying to ruin
- 1:11:55Speaker 9: people's lives by getting shot a cheato.
- 1:11:58Speaker 11: How you ruining somebody like that by them shooting you?
- 1:12:01Speaker 11: How could you do this to me? You ran your
- 1:12:03Speaker 11: body directly into my bullets. Male artists are celebrated for
- 1:12:06Speaker 11: shooting people. On the other hand, female artists are denigrated
- 1:12:10Speaker 11: for getting shot. Let a rapper kill somebody.
- 1:12:12Speaker 9: They sails through the goddamn roof people like man, that's
- 1:12:15Speaker 9: a real nigga man, or if they get shot, the
- 1:12:17Speaker 9: general consistus is man. He artists fuck man. The niggas
- 1:12:19Speaker 9: survive anything a nigga like Iron Man. Male artists is
- 1:12:22Speaker 9: celebrated for having as much sex as humanly possible. For women,
- 1:12:25Speaker 9: relationships you've had are used as justification.
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: For you to die.
- 1:12:29Speaker 9: What's that meme of the white girl with the math
- 1:12:31Speaker 9: in the sky. Here's another thing, young Miami song. It's
- 1:12:34Speaker 9: an amazing melody. The subject matter is decrepit, but it's
- 1:12:38Speaker 9: a very American record. I feel like the Founding Fathers
- 1:12:40Speaker 9: could have been singing that song. Well, my scamming ass
- 1:12:44Speaker 9: nigga's at all them damn treaties they was breaking with
- 1:12:48Speaker 9: the Native Americans. It was scamming. Point being American society
- 1:12:52Speaker 9: is based on scamming. But it seems the women artists
- 1:12:54Speaker 9: are invariably blamed for the situations they inherit Janet Jackson
- 1:12:57Speaker 9: case in point, her tity get pulled out, she gets
- 1:13:00Speaker 9: a man gets shot. It's her fault. Make it make sense.
- 1:13:03Speaker 9: I essay about this ship on the Substance this week comments.
- 1:13:06Speaker 9: Subscribe to read it.
- 1:13:08Speaker 4: I love him, I mean, yeah, yeah, the point he's
- 1:13:16Speaker 4: always saying misogyny this this, this is what I'm saying
- 1:13:19Speaker 4: that I know the word is run down because we
- 1:13:22Speaker 4: you know, he's thrown at us so much and be
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: like also too like.
- 1:13:26Speaker 12: I think it's not just the song a subject matter.
- 1:13:28Speaker 12: I think it's also the person too right. I think
- 1:13:31Speaker 12: because we viewed her, especially coming off of the right,
- 1:13:35Speaker 12: there's a certain view of her right, maybe being you know,
- 1:13:40Speaker 12: too sexual, I would say too sexual or less less
- 1:13:44Speaker 12: than I guess maybe viewing her from a lesser perspective.
- 1:13:47Speaker 12: I guess JT left right is she she didn't really
- 1:13:50Speaker 12: look good with the music, So I think for her
- 1:13:52Speaker 12: to come back with this type of force, it was like,
- 1:13:55Speaker 12: it's like people are like, come on, how she get it?
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: Like like like you said, now, how she get it?
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: But I didn't get it. My man overhead didn't get it.
- 1:14:04Speaker 12: And that's literally and you see everybody, like I said,
- 1:14:06Speaker 12: men and women, I said, remember charm, that's rare men
- 1:14:08Speaker 12: and women celebrating your music. So for both people to
- 1:14:11Speaker 12: celebrate that at the level, it's like, oh, hell no,
- 1:14:13Speaker 12: how did she get that to happen?
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: I love it.
- 1:14:16Speaker 4: I love seeing the redemption story. Yeah, I think it's great.
- 1:14:19Speaker 4: That's why I started. Glad you apologize.
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: You know that.
- 1:14:21Speaker 12: I said that when I when I was after the
- 1:14:24Speaker 12: teacher I died. When I went home, I said, yo,
- 1:14:25Speaker 12: I said, yo. The next time I part, I have
- 1:14:27Speaker 12: to apologize her. I'm really proud of him for doing
- 1:14:30Speaker 12: that because I look at Cardi seven years not releasing
- 1:14:36Speaker 12: the album. We've been wrote her off.
- 1:14:37Speaker 4: We was like, man, she getting hushed off on Twitter,
- 1:14:39Speaker 4: on spaces. She she just on Instagram just to girl,
- 1:14:43Speaker 4: you don't want to make no more music?
- 1:14:45Speaker 5: You good?
- 1:14:45Speaker 3: You got enough money? Fuck it?
- 1:14:47Speaker 4: And then she drops This sophomore project is one of
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: the I don't know how many sophomore projects that were
- 1:14:53Speaker 4: that good from any artists, like in a long time,
- 1:14:58Speaker 4: in a long fucking time.
- 1:15:00Speaker 3: Redemption Drake, I know we got the you know, drop
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: over there not Jo Listen. I love Drake.
- 1:15:13Speaker 4: I'm not gonna say I counted him out, but I
- 1:15:15Speaker 4: did not expect this to happen, that Nigga went nuts.
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: Redemption, Redemption right, Karsha.
- 1:15:27Speaker 4: Outside right now, everything she went through with that, the
- 1:15:30Speaker 4: whole public breakup of City Girls, all those different songs
- 1:15:34Speaker 4: that just went blop blop, getting dropped, the podcast, getting.
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: Dropped off the boat, but not the music, the music
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: not It was just looking sad.
- 1:15:43Speaker 4: Bro and we was JT's fucking just looking horrible. He
- 1:15:49Speaker 4: was like, y'all need to get back together.
- 1:15:50Speaker 3: This is this is bad. What are you'all doing.
- 1:15:52Speaker 5: I don't understand why so many people wrote Karsha off,
- 1:15:54Speaker 5: like Karisha didn't keep the City Girls lit while JT
- 1:15:57Speaker 5: was in jail.
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: It wasn't. It wasn't. It wasn't even the songs wasn't.
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: I don't think that ever wrote anything.
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: They didn't have any song.
- 1:16:05Speaker 12: Something she got rolled over because she I think JT
- 1:16:09Speaker 12: is the person that really does the music, right, Cretia,
- 1:16:11Speaker 12: I think is just she's there for the life, right,
- 1:16:13Speaker 12: She's not really like I don't get yeah like that.
- 1:16:17Speaker 12: So I feel like when that when JT was locked
- 1:16:19Speaker 12: up and creature, I had to hold it down. It's like,
- 1:16:21Speaker 12: all right, I can hold this down for this time
- 1:16:23Speaker 12: period because I'm not you know, it's not like I
- 1:16:25Speaker 12: got to be making the music and I gotta really
- 1:16:27Speaker 12: be out here rapping and putting together the songs. So
- 1:16:30Speaker 12: when j C comes back, j T, you know, she's
- 1:16:32Speaker 12: she's full on dropping music, freestyles and all that. And
- 1:16:35Speaker 12: Miami was doing what chillum Diddy vicious.
- 1:16:39Speaker 3: Yeah, wa, j T, your body looks amazing right now.
- 1:16:42Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying. So you've seen that. I've
- 1:16:44Speaker 3: seen her since she got out. Yeah, show me that.
- 1:16:48Speaker 4: She is damning and lingerie rapping. She got this ship
- 1:16:51Speaker 4: this song out, it's like black and white.
- 1:16:53Speaker 3: Something new. Yo. I don't see whatever you did, but yeah,
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: she gotta come outside now. She can't stand so with
- 1:17:00Speaker 3: with the with you got your got to see j T.
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: I said, when she got all this, when you get
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: this from oz a.
- 1:17:12Speaker 4: Bag on that new body, Jesus, you think they're having
- 1:17:16Speaker 4: a toork off. And when you see when you see
- 1:17:18Speaker 4: a chick, wow, when you see what when you see
- 1:17:24Speaker 4: a chick that clearly get some surgery to get their
- 1:17:28Speaker 4: body like you really admire it. Like I'm saying, you
- 1:17:31Speaker 4: can look at it and be like, okay, that that
- 1:17:32Speaker 4: looks nice.
- 1:17:33Speaker 3: But I don't.
- 1:17:34Speaker 7: I don't be like, y'all her body is dope because
- 1:17:37Speaker 7: I'm like that, ain't your body like it is?
- 1:17:39Speaker 4: Now?
- 1:17:40Speaker 3: I don't know. That's not the same. But don't hit
- 1:17:42Speaker 3: the same. It's just don't hit the same.
- 1:17:44Speaker 4: Can't I can't give you your flowers? Yeah, that's like
- 1:17:50Speaker 4: like with a six pack. But then you find out
- 1:17:51Speaker 4: he had surgery to get it done, and you're like,
- 1:17:53Speaker 4: you're looking at you like, would.
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: Y'all get you if you was with your baby mothers? Right?
- 1:17:58Speaker 4: They use with your baby mothers still and they body,
- 1:18:02Speaker 4: you know, did what happens during pregnancy? They couldn't They
- 1:18:05Speaker 4: work hard at it? Would you get the mommy make up?
- 1:18:07Speaker 3: They work hard like they.
- 1:18:08Speaker 4: Try to lose it. They try to like you will,
- 1:18:10Speaker 4: I will work out with you for a year straight.
- 1:18:12Speaker 4: If it doesn't whatever, and if it's just the breast,
- 1:18:16Speaker 4: go long the like they used to have super perky titties.
- 1:18:20Speaker 4: The milk dries up and they get long and just
- 1:18:22Speaker 4: like flappy. I mean, how long would you long and
- 1:18:29Speaker 4: flappy as wild?
- 1:18:30Speaker 3: Would you get the mamami makeover?
- 1:18:32Speaker 4: If it helped, If it helped her confidence and this
- 1:18:34Speaker 4: is what she needed to be confident? Yeah, so am
- 1:18:37Speaker 4: I am I other woman doing it? Am I in
- 1:18:40Speaker 4: support of that? As like women are flaunting that this
- 1:18:44Speaker 4: is this is you just said, if it helps them.
- 1:18:48Speaker 4: If I'm with if I'm with my woman and she
- 1:18:50Speaker 4: got flappy titties, now I get it, Like if you
- 1:18:53Speaker 4: have Perkin tit and then your titties are flapping now
- 1:18:55Speaker 4: and you want to rather women walk around with a
- 1:18:58Speaker 4: fucking iron board by body that are not comfortable fitting
- 1:19:03Speaker 4: this into these machine dresses.
