This week was a full blown rant session. We talked about the Lindsay Clancy case and how postpartum mental health still is not taken seriously enough. We discussed how cocaine and crack are the same drug consumed differently, yet crack has historically carried harsher judgment and criminal consequences because of systemic racism and its introduction into poor Black communities. We are not judging anyone struggling with addiction, but we are calling out the idea that one method of using a drug is somehow better or more respectable than another.
