Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, I'm so glad you could join me.
- 0:01Speaker 1: It's the Stuck no More podcast.
- 0:04Speaker 1: I'm Teresa Croft.
- 0:05Speaker 1: So listen, listen.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Have you ever felt chained by fear?
- 0:09Speaker 1: Have you ever wondered?
- 0:10Speaker 1: Okay, teresa, on your academy, you're talking about being led from the overflow of your voice.
- 0:16Speaker 1: What does that truly mean?
- 0:18Speaker 1: Being led from the overflow?
- 0:20Speaker 1: It means being led.
- 0:22Speaker 1: And can I just say this to you right now no hustling, no hustling, no hustling.
- 0:34Speaker 1: So I am going to share a little bit.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Be vulnerable of how a time when I didn't know what it was meant not to hustle, and I, you may be in that place right now.
- 0:40Speaker 1: You're, you're hustling, you're trying to put pieces together, you're striving for approval.
- 0:45Speaker 1: You go on Instagram and you're just like, ah, they're doing it so much better.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Remember, when you go on Instagram, you might be seeing 20 years and you're just seeing after 20 years.
- 0:54Speaker 1: They're showing up like this but what do you do in the midst of the hustle?
- 0:59Speaker 1: So today we're going to talk about breaking free from the hustle, breaking free from the fear, so that you can step up to the plate.
- 1:03Speaker 1: So today, we're going to talk about breaking free from the hustle, breaking free from the fear so that you can step up to the plate.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Maybe it's a microphone which I'm teaching my academy, maybe it's in your writing, maybe it's in your business, where you can go from the confidence of being led by God.
- 1:18Speaker 1: I always say what will stop the attack on your voice is creating as God creates.
- 1:27Speaker 1: So I'm going to try to do some of that and share kind of what I was thinking this morning, because I knew that, as I teach this and as I share that, you really can be.
- 1:38Speaker 1: You can speak from the overflow.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Sometimes, though, you got to go back and speak from the scars, not the wounds, so I'm going to just share, just in all vulnerability.
- 1:51Speaker 1: There was this something I I actually chat to.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Gpt created it from something I had written, but I was processing it again because it so spoke to me, and this is what it said.
- 2:01Speaker 1: I'm just going to read it because I don't have it memorized.
- 2:03Speaker 1: This is what just stuck with me this morning Again.
- 2:07Speaker 1: There was a time when I lived carefully, almost cautiously, as if walking on eggshells, held back by fear that whispered louder than God's truth.
- 2:18Speaker 1: I felt chained to uncertainty, questioning whether I was enough, wondering if I was truly called, but God.
- 2:28Speaker 1: But God, in his mercy, broke through the noise and began to realign my heart with his promises.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Granted, it may have taken me some weeks of months, going on, two years of really having a safe place to process and take off the layers that were on me from not feeling like I was enough, not being able to trust myself.
- 2:54Speaker 1: So now I'm reading again.
- 2:57Speaker 1: This is just what I flushed out on chat GPT.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Who knows my voice?
- 3:01Speaker 1: It says now I move in the confidence of his love voice, no longer striving but surrendering.
- 3:08Speaker 1: His spirit has become my strength and his unfaithfulness my steady ground.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Where I once fell stuck, I now walk in step with him, trusting that every move forward is covered by his grace.
- 3:20Speaker 1: I'm not figuring it out alone.
- 3:23Speaker 1: I'm being led, and this path it's not just safe, it's sacred.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Stick around to the end.
- 3:30Speaker 1: I'll give you a guide that will give you some of these steps being led and not striving.
- 3:38Speaker 1: So let's talk about it.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Let's talk about those times when I just I know a song and just reading this reminded me of a time where it was really brutal, there was so much control and I heard this song break out, and it something that I want to share from the overflow, because you may feel like you are hustling.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Hustling shuts down creativity.
- 4:18Speaker 1: I shared yesterday the rest who run, based on Hebrews 11, verse 11.
- 4:23Speaker 1: And it's basically this it's about Sarah.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Her name was changed.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Sarah embraced God's miracle working power even though she was past the age of childbearing, even though she was barren, but the authority of her faith rested in the one who promised and she tapped in to his faithfulness.
- 4:44Speaker 1: The rest is embracing God's miracle working power, no matter how bad it is.
- 4:49Speaker 1: The rest is, even though Sarah was barren.
- 4:53Speaker 1: It's like, even though you're going through the stuff of the flesh, the trials, the fear, the wanting to take that step forward, you can be like Sarah.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Her faith rested in the authority of the one who called, who made the promise, and she tapped into his faithfulness.
- 5:12Speaker 1: So that verse I have been pondering on that verse for four years.
- 5:17Speaker 1: I wrote about it four years ago, I talked about it four years ago, but today it comes from a different place, of having the blessing to walk from the rest.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Okay, but you know what happens when you walk from the rest, when you really allow God to heal your heart.
- 5:37Speaker 1: It's amazing.
- 5:38Speaker 1: You begin to trust yourself, you begin to like trust, what God put in your heart and willing to work, not hustle, but willing to take the steps you may need to take to be able to create as God creates.
- 5:52Speaker 1: It might be in your business.
- 5:54Speaker 1: You're doing well in your business, but there's maybe something missing.
- 5:57Speaker 1: You're tired of the hustle.
- 5:59Speaker 1: You're tired of feeling like you got to keep up.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Can you come from a place of rest?
- 6:05Speaker 1: I believe you can just straight up, because we, if you believe in Jesus, you're coming from the authority, from the place of Jesus risen from the dead.
- 6:15Speaker 1: The victory over the cross secures you a place of rest, and that doesn't mean you hang out in your pajamas all day.
- 6:22Speaker 1: No, it's a rest in your heart.
- 6:25Speaker 1: When you hustle, it creates chaos.
- 6:30Speaker 1: This is another thing that I have noticed.
- 6:32Speaker 1: When I was in my hustling mode, I said yes to everything.
- 6:36Speaker 1: I mean I knew what I wanted to do, but, oh, that sounds like a good opportunity, I'm going to do that.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Oh, that sounds great, I'm going to do that.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Put the hustle aside.
- 6:51Speaker 1: You say yes to what God put in your heart, your purpose.
- 6:54Speaker 1: It means there may be a lot of no's behind it.
- 6:57Speaker 1: You're being led not by the next opportunity.
- 7:02Speaker 1: You're being led by what God put in your heart and you're going forward and you're walking it out.
- 7:08Speaker 1: That's why I love the members of the academy I see them do that the Psych no More Academy, where we're teaching podcasting, but we're teaching it from the overflow of your relationship with God.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Yeah, we're going to talk about the AI tools.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Yeah, we're talking about the secret weapon, but we're grounding it in like, let's speak from our scars, let's learn what it means to be less.
- 7:31Speaker 1: You know you're not alone in your struggle.
- 7:34Speaker 1: You know you're not alone finding your voice, your true, authentic voice.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Personally, I think it can only come from maybe, some good counseling and, yes, lots of time in the word, lots of time just sitting in his presence.
- 7:51Speaker 1: You know I found a lot of answers in the cacophony and then later healing because I journaled a lot.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I got it out of my heart, out of my heart onto paper.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Well, I couldn't see real well, so I would put it on.
- 8:08Speaker 1: I had a Logitech keyboard connected to my iPad and I have years of my journaling and years of processing Listening to God.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Though he would talk to me.
- 8:25Speaker 1: I couldn't conjure up the listen to the vine dresser words.
- 8:29Speaker 1: They went right to my heart.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Listen to the vine dresser.
- 8:33Speaker 1: I see your tears, making your coffee salty.
- 8:37Speaker 1: I see the travail of your heart.
- 8:39Speaker 1: I'm not.
- 8:40Speaker 1: I should have had a vine dresser word here so I could show you what I mean, but that was the way God was speaking and healing me in the midst of it.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Oftentimes you get your yes solid and oftentimes the first yes has to be just yes to God, that you trust him, that you believe that he'll lead you out of the mess into a message, out of the anguish of the mess and the test into a testimony, because ultimately, a journey that I'm going on is creating the way God creates and then being able to say I'm going to obey God.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Even when it feels scary, even when the pieces I don't see them, I'm going to stay thankful.
- 9:26Speaker 1: There's a neuroscience, neuropsychal fact that when you remain thankful and you look up, even though you don't see evidence of what you want, you still thank God.
- 9:36Speaker 1: It puts you in the expectancy mode.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Do you know what the greatest?
- 9:41Speaker 1: There's lots of examples of Jesus doing that.
- 9:43Speaker 1: But remember when Lazarus was dead for three days and Jesus made his way and, for the sake of all of the, of all the people around, he said father, I say I'm going to thank you in advance.
- 9:55Speaker 1: I'm going to thank you so they can see me.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Basically, this is tea revision.
- 9:59Speaker 1: I'm going to thank you so they know that I'm thanking you before I call them out.
- 10:05Speaker 1: So he's thanking God and then he calls forth Lazarus and Lazarus comes out of the tomb.
- 10:10Speaker 1: He did the same thing when he had to feed 5,000.
- 10:13Speaker 1: I can just see him.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Hey guys, what do we?
- 10:15Speaker 1: Got Five loaves, two fish.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Bring them to me.
- 10:19Speaker 1: And what did he do?
- 10:20Speaker 1: He lifted his head and he broke the bread, thanking the father.
- 10:24Speaker 1: And what did he do?
- 10:26Speaker 1: He fed 5,000 with 12 baskets left over, and those 12 baskets were in the boat when the storm hit.
- 10:33Speaker 1: And that's another story.
- 10:34Speaker 1: So can you trust them?
- 10:38Speaker 1: You know one of the greatest places I was podcasting before, even in the midst of, you know, going through some trauma.
- 10:46Speaker 1: I started out hiding in the closet because there aren't good acoustics in the closet.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Then I stepped out, fighting for my voice, creating the way God creates, and I created a kingdom mentor academy where I taught how to find your voice, how to share your voice and how to market your voice.
- 11:05Speaker 1: I never got to market your voice because my husband got burned, with third degree burns over 30% of his body.
- 11:09Speaker 1: It was like no question I got to put this down.
- 11:12Speaker 1: But I'm glad I put it down because that was how many years later three years over three years later getting the healing so I can speak from the scars, that I can be led and not feel like I have to hustle because I'm saying yes to the assignment God put on me.
- 11:33Speaker 1: You have a voice that carries impact.
- 11:35Speaker 1: What are you going to say yes to?
- 11:37Speaker 1: When I say voice, it could be your singing, your writing, your business, being a mom, being a dad.
- 11:43Speaker 1: You can say yes and create the way God creates by just being you and showing up when God tells you to show up, by saying yes to the things you want to say yes to.
- 11:55Speaker 1: But I tell you what God's really drilled into me.
- 11:59Speaker 1: You're going to say yes to this one thing.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Why do I, when I say yes, all these messages come?
- 12:05Speaker 1: Anyone else get this in Facebook?
- 12:08Speaker 1: Oh, I want you to join us.
- 12:09Speaker 1: And then these really cool things come up that I would love to say.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Yes, they're a lot of fun.
- 12:13Speaker 1: But I want to say yes to the one thing, and that's serving the StechnoMore Academy members, serving from the overflow of my heart, serving and being led by God, not hustling.
- 12:27Speaker 1: So I want that for you.
- 12:30Speaker 1: You know, I think I've been talking about finding your voice for a long time and so even in the midst of the cacophony I mean I led a camp about it but finding your voice is like.
- 12:43Speaker 1: What do I mean by the voice?
- 12:45Speaker 1: It is the unique expression of your values, your identity and your experiences that can impact thousands.
- 12:55Speaker 1: So a lot of time really learning to say yes is coming to grips.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Okay, what are my values?
- 13:02Speaker 1: Because those are the things you walk by.
- 13:04Speaker 1: I value my relationship with God.
- 13:06Speaker 1: I value listening to the Holy Spirit.
- 13:09Speaker 1: I value community, sisterhood.
- 13:11Speaker 1: I value the people God's come into my life to speak truth, to lead me in truth, to help me be healed.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Those are my values.
- 13:21Speaker 1: And then you bring in your identity.
- 13:23Speaker 1: You know identity can get washed up.
- 13:26Speaker 1: What do you mean by identity?
- 13:27Speaker 1: And you're always talking about in the vine?
- 13:30Speaker 1: Well, identity is like who you are in Jesus.
- 13:32Speaker 1: It's a done deal.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Sure, you can make it identity and what you do, but it's not solely in that.
- 13:40Speaker 1: And when you learn that you are able to really be led and not go on the hustle, you're like wait a minute.
- 13:46Speaker 1: I have the Holy Spirit inside of me.
- 13:49Speaker 1: I can say yes to what God told me.
- 13:51Speaker 1: To say yes, I don't have to join every group.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Groups are good, don't get me wrong.
- 13:56Speaker 1: I belong to no More Dry Ground.
- 13:57Speaker 1: It's an awesome group.
- 13:58Speaker 1: I'm also connected to a neuropsycho-facilitator Awesome healing.
- 14:03Speaker 1: But those are the things that I've asked God and he says yes.
- 14:10Speaker 1: But I had to say no to some good things.
- 14:11Speaker 1: This year I have had to say no for lots of reasons.
- 14:13Speaker 1: One I was diagnosed with cancer.
- 14:15Speaker 1: I said diagnosed.
- 14:21Speaker 1: I'm not going to say I have cancer, but I'm healing from it.
- 14:22Speaker 1: So, waiting for a biopsy of my right breast, I already have a mastectomy coming the way on my left.
- 14:27Speaker 1: How can I speak from that, from the scars, and not that just be an open wound?
- 14:30Speaker 1: Because you know I said you got to speak from the scars and sometimes that takes years.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Can I share with you how I can speak on that?
- 14:42Speaker 1: I was in the parking lot about to go to a diagnosis magmogram because they found two spots and I remember sitting in the car just waiting because I was there early and I heard as clear as day God saying Teresa, this could be another story for my glory.
- 14:57Speaker 1: It's like, ooh yeah, it could.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Then, going through the ultrasound, they did see something, going right from the ultrasound to the biopsy.
- 15:07Speaker 1: I remember being laid out on the operating or whatever table, waiting for the doctor to come in, and, as clear as day, I heard the Holy Spirit say Teresa, will you let this be a story, another story for my glory?
- 15:24Speaker 1: Okay, I will.
- 15:26Speaker 1: I think that's the only reason that, sure, I have my fears.
- 15:31Speaker 1: It's not as bad as some people, but I got to go to surgery.
- 15:35Speaker 1: I got to get it out.
- 15:37Speaker 1: I have a lot of questions, but I can talk to you because I feel like by saying yes to God, I feel like he instantly put a scar on my heart, that I can speak about it because I trust him.
- 15:47Speaker 1: If I was really not trusting him and just bleeding, I'd bleed on you.
- 15:51Speaker 1: I don't want to bleed on you.
- 15:53Speaker 1: You have enough bleeding from other.
- 15:56Speaker 1: So listen, listen.
- 16:00Speaker 1: I want you to stop hustling.
- 16:03Speaker 1: I want you to come from a place of rest.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Sarah, embrace God's miracle working power of God, even though she was past the age of childbearing, even though she's childbearing, even though she's bearing.
- 16:18Speaker 1: But the authority of her faith rested in the one who promised, and she tapped into his faithfulness.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Rest in the authority of the one who's called you into that lane to serve faithfully as a businesswoman, as a leader, as a coach, as a podcaster, and rest in the one who's called you, and then this is tapping into his faithfulness.
- 16:42Speaker 1: That is work.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Rest to run the work, though, is so much more aligned because you know you're trusting in the one who's called you.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Yeah, there may be some days that aren't real fun, but most of the days you're just going to keep saying it.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Can I just tell you, since I've started to say yes, there's been so much clarity.
- 17:04Speaker 1: The chaos is kind of starting to leave.
- 17:07Speaker 1: I still struggled with it because I'm like, huh, I say yes, that means I don't get to see those people and I don't get to travel like I like to travel, but I'm going to say yes to some other things that will let me see people that I love and will make me travel.
- 17:22Speaker 1: So there already has been some clarity where I can serve with all my heart.
- 17:29Speaker 1: We have the first session of the Stuck no More Academy.
- 17:32Speaker 1: I'm training faith-filled voices to create a podcast or speak on stage or write a book.
- 17:40Speaker 1: It's from the Stuck no More Method based on biblical principles to help break down the barriers, to keep that hustling away.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Break down the barriers and show them how to create from the overflow of the relationship with God.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Do you not talk about microphones?
- 17:55Speaker 1: Yes, I do talk about microphones.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I do talk about chat, gbd.
- 17:59Speaker 1: I do talk about my AI secret weapon that I'm going to teach them.
- 18:02Speaker 1: But it's such an honor and it's coming from a place of my overflow, so I'm telling them.
- 18:09Speaker 1: You do podcasts from the overflow.
- 18:11Speaker 1: I found something really interesting happening Teaching has come from the overflow of my relationship with God, because sometimes we don't get into what I'm going to talk about like technical, until I did the no hustle message yesterday.
- 18:25Speaker 1: No hustling In this group.
- 18:27Speaker 1: There's no hustling.
- 18:29Speaker 1: They'll laugh because they'll remember thinking where is she coming?
- 18:32Speaker 1: So listen, you're not lost, you're being led.
- 18:35Speaker 1: You're not lost, you're being led.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Align your heart with what God's calling you to and stop the hustling.
- 18:44Speaker 1: You know, maybe you need to read a book and it just be a fiction book this weekend.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Reading fiction actually has a neuroscience benefit.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Maybe you need to drop the how-to books and pick up the Holy Spirit book in your heart and what he's telling you, how he's telling you to do it.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Maybe creating the way God creates is a new strategy you never thought of, but it's coming from the overflow of your relationship with God and you've got the key now and you see action.
- 19:17Speaker 1: I type a lot, but I do do what's called metacogging and a lot of times I'm metacogging the diagnosis.
- 19:25Speaker 1: But I did write.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Get it out on paper.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Come on, I'm not even going to write it out.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Okay, this is really bothering me today.
- 19:31Speaker 1: This is I got surgery in the middle of that one and I'm just, I'm thankful.
- 19:36Speaker 1: I'm trying to be led by God and I want you to step out, to find your voice, to be led by God to truly, truly walk in the lane that God's called you to walk into.
- 19:52Speaker 1: So, listen, I want to help you with a little guide, because the Second no More Academy is full right now, but there is a wait list.
- 20:01Speaker 1: You can get on, but while you're waiting, you can download a free guide I've got for you.
- 20:06Speaker 1: It's actually the title Lead, not Lost how to Stop Hustling and Start Speaking from the Overflow.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Go to the links in the show notes and I'll give you that, and you can wait, if you like, for the Stuck no More Academy round two.
- 20:28Speaker 1: You think I can't talk.
- 20:29Speaker 1: You have so much to offer.
- 20:31Speaker 1: My friend, I'm looking at you.
- 20:33Speaker 1: You have a story for God's glory.
- 20:35Speaker 1: You may have gone through something and are on the other end and you're ready to bring some sisters along and let them be led, not hustle.
- 20:46Speaker 1: You have something.
- 20:47Speaker 1: I see you.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Come on, I may pretend like I'm seeing you, but your voice is meant for a book, a stage, a podcast.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Your voice has something extra that God put on to what you may think is ordinary but becomes an extraordinary solution for someone else's pain point.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Even in the midst of the cacophony, god can still be weaving you for something extra.
- 21:17Speaker 1: You know, I said I was fighting for my voice even in the midst of the control and the yuck.
- 21:23Speaker 1: And God told me after he passed away, which is going on three years.
- 21:27Speaker 1: He said do you know why you're able to fight for your voice?
- 21:30Speaker 1: I said no, I look at this.
- 21:31Speaker 1: I read some of my journal.
- 21:32Speaker 1: I'm like wow, I really was silenced.
- 21:35Speaker 1: But I was really.
- 21:36Speaker 1: I was really hustling.
- 21:39Speaker 1: I will be honest with you.
- 21:40Speaker 1: I was really hustling and God says the reason you're able to do that, the reason you could break and still fight for your voice is because you were creating the way I created.
- 21:52Speaker 1: What did God do in the beginning to create creation?
- 21:55Speaker 1: He created.
- 21:56Speaker 1: He hovered over the earth, hovering, hiding yourself in God's presence and listening to him, staying still and then speaking and creating the way God creates.
- 22:09Speaker 1: It's time to go from striving to surrender.
- 22:15Speaker 1: It's time to break free from fear.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Friend, I'll help you.
- 22:18Speaker 1: You can listen to the Stuck no More podcast.
- 22:21Speaker 1: You can share it, write a review, share it with a friend and wait for the next Stick no More Academy, because I think your voice is meant for a podcast.
- 22:34Speaker 1: All right, I'll talk to you in the next episode.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Check out the show notes.
- 22:39Speaker 1: I'll give you a chance for a free guide from being led right.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Stop the hustling and start speaking from the overflow.
- 22:48Speaker 1: I really do love you and I will certainly talk to you in the next episode.
