- 0:00What if the voice in your head is the only thing standing
- 0:05between you and the completely different life?
- 0:09Hello beautiful soul. This is Esther speaking to you
- 0:14from Switzerland. And today I want to take you
- 0:18somewhere very honest, very real.
- 0:23A place I've lived in for decades and only recently
- 0:29started to truly understand. Because for most of my life I
- 0:35believed something very simple. I believed that my lack of self
- 0:42esteem came from my parents, that they didn't give me
- 0:48confidence because they didn't have it themselves.
- 0:53And yes, there is truth in that, but it's not the whole truth.
- 1:01The deeper truth, the one that changed everything for me, is
- 1:07this. It's not what they said back
- 1:12then. It's what I keep saying to
- 1:15myself every single day. Let me ask you something.
- 1:22What is the tone of your inner voice?
- 1:25Is it soft, encouraging, loving? Or is it harsh, repetitive,
- 1:34exhausting? Because mine, for a very long
- 1:39time, was brutal. It sounded like this.
- 1:44Esther, you're not good enough. You never get it right.
- 1:50You are a bad person, you're unlovable, You hate too much,
- 1:56you feel too much. Something is wrong with you.
- 2:02And it didn't stop fair. It spread into everything.
- 2:08My relationships, my work, my birth, my future.
- 2:15Like a dark filter covering my entire life.
- 2:20And the scariest part? I believed it.
- 2:25Not because it was true, but because I repeated it over and
- 2:32over and over again until it felt like truth.
- 2:38Do you know this voice? Do you recognize it?
- 2:43That quiet or sometimes loud commentary in your mind that
- 2:50never really lets you rest. And then something happens.
- 2:58The weather is grey, cold, rainy, and suddenly it feels
- 3:05like the outside world is just mirroring what's really inside
- 3:11of you. Heavy, hopeless, stuck.
- 3:16But here's something that helped me see this differently.
- 3:22Look at the dog. Really.
- 3:25Do you think a dog ever wakes up and thinks, am I lovable today?
- 3:33Do you think it hesitates before running to its owner, thinking
- 3:40maybe I was too much yesterday, maybe I should hold back today?
- 3:47No. Or a bird.
- 3:50Do you think a bird sits on a branch in the morning and thinks
- 3:58I shouldn't think today I wasn't good enough yesterday?
- 4:03No, it's just things. Without doubt, without
- 4:10permission, without questioning. It's worth.
- 4:15And here we are, so intelligent, so capable, and yet we silence
- 4:24ourselves. How many times did you stay
- 4:28quiet in the group even though you had something to say?
- 4:35How many times did you compare yourself and choose someone
- 4:42better just to confirm that you are not enough?
- 4:49We are such complex beings and sometimes we are our own biggest
- 4:58obstacle. During COVID, I decided to
- 5:03change something. I started telling myself again
- 5:08and again and again. I am amazing.
- 5:13At first it felt ridiculous. I didn't believe a word of it.
- 5:21But I kept going, again and again and again, until something
- 5:28shifted. Not overnight, but gently,
- 5:33quietly, like light entering a dark room.
- 5:38And suddenly, on difficult days, I could reach for that sentence.
- 5:46I am amazing and it would lift me, even just a little.
- 5:53But then life happened. Family dynamics, old wounds,
- 6:00triggers. And slowly, that old voice came
- 6:05back. Maybe you know this too.
- 6:09You do the work, you grow, you heal, and then something pulls
- 6:16you back and it feels like everything is gone.
- 6:22It felt that deeply recently. Then I heard someone say
- 6:30something simple. I am adorable and I loved it.
- 6:37It felt soft, gentle, kind and it worked for a few days and
- 6:45then it lost its power so I knew I needed something deeper again.
- 6:55And this is what always brings me back.
- 6:59Gratitude. Not just a little, but a full,
- 7:04overflowing list. I sit down and I write.
- 7:10I'm grateful for my health. I'm grateful for my two sons, my
- 7:16biggest teachers. I'm grateful to live in
- 7:20Switzerland in peace. I'm grateful for my work because
- 7:27I can help others. I'm grateful for my parents,
- 7:34yes, even for the pain, because it made me stronger.
- 7:40I'm grateful for every stage of my life, every country, every
- 7:46language, every connection. And I keep going and going and
- 7:52going until something shifts, until my heart softens, until my
- 8:01breath deepens, until life starts to glow again.
- 8:09Because suddenly it's not dark anymore.
- 8:13It's full, rich, meaningful, alive.
- 8:18And this is when I remember. I'm not my past.
- 8:24I'm not what was said to me. I am not even what I thought
- 8:31yesterday, I am what I choose to repeat today.
- 8:39This is where our power is. Not blaming, not in pointing
- 8:45fingers, but in taking ownership of the story we tell ourselves.
- 8:54Because here's the truth. If you can program yourself
- 8:59negatively, you can program yourself positively.
- 9:04The same mind, the same repetition, the same power, just
- 9:11a different direction. And it's never too late.
- 9:16Never. I don't care how many years
- 9:20you've lived with that voice, you can change it gently,
- 9:26patiently, loving. So today, just start noticing
- 9:34what are you saying to yourself, and is it helping you or hurting
- 9:41you? And maybe, just maybe, you begin
- 9:46to choose a different sentence, something kinder, something
- 9:53softer, something that feels like a small light.
- 9:59And you repeat it again and again and again, until one day
- 10:07you don't just hear it, you feel it.
- 10:11And that is where everything begins to change.
- 10:18If this touched something in you, if you recognize yourself
- 10:23in these words, I want to invite you.
- 10:28Ioffer free one-on-one coaching sessions from my heart.
- 10:34A space where you can be fully seen, fully heard, without
- 10:41judgement. Very gently shift what's been
- 10:46holding you back for so long. You don't have to do this alone,
- 10:53just reach out to me. I would love to walk a part of
- 10:58this journey with you. Thank you for being here, thank
- 11:04you for listening, and most importantly, be kind to the
- 11:11voice inside you. With all my heart.
- 11:16Talk to you next week.
