- 0:00Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Let's go, baby, let's go.
- 0:04Speaker 1: From a championship backfield to your morning drive.
- 0:07Speaker 3: Hands to Hester, and Hester, yep, got it, five out
- 0:11Speaker 3: of five.
- 0:11Speaker 1: You're locked in to Off the Bench.
- 0:13Speaker 4: Flynn is back to throw for the end zone ball.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Live from the Raising Cane Studio, here's Jacob Hester and
- 0:22Speaker 1: Matt Flynn.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Off the Bench. Where you've been coughing I've been drinking
- 0:45Speaker 2: life Where.
- 0:45Speaker 5: You've been nauseous.
- 1:08Speaker 6: I stepped on you.
- 1:09Speaker 7: My bad.
- 1:10Speaker 5: What?
- 1:11Speaker 8: Whoops. Whoopsies. Not a great start to a Tuesday.
- 1:15Speaker 5: It's all right. Sorry. Just excitement.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:17Speaker 5: I think it's a great start.
- 1:18Speaker 7: I never got mine in.
- 1:22Speaker 5: I sent this to you.
- 1:24Speaker 4: There can't be a bad day when your shuffle on
- 1:26Speaker 4: your Apple Music gives you creed.
- 1:29Speaker 5: Yeah, no. I was fine. As soon as you sent that,
- 1:32Speaker 5: Can't be a bad day when that happens. Since you
- 1:34Speaker 5: said that, guess what your boy did? What'd you do?
- 1:37Speaker 5: Listen to Creed.
- 1:39Speaker 6: Naturally.
- 1:40Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:41Speaker 1: He did.
- 1:42Speaker 5: He got the juices flowing a lot.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:44Speaker 5: And I've been playing it in my head ever since.
- 1:46Speaker 4: They're doing from Creed to Santana. It was in his
- 1:49Speaker 4: bag this morning.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:50Speaker 5: Should've just stuck with Creed. I mean, no.
- 1:55Speaker 6: We don't disrespect Santana here.
- 1:56Speaker 8: Did I disrespect him? By showing respect to somebody else
- 1:59Speaker 8: a little bit more?
- 2:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:01Speaker 5: A little bit. I don't think so. Creed. Greater than. Most.
- 2:09Speaker 5: Greater than. We should make that a thing. That is.
- 2:17Speaker 4: Jake Flynn, Alondra, Tay Tay, all here with you in
- 2:19Speaker 4: the Raising Cane Studio. Tuesday shows brought to you by
- 2:22Speaker 4: Community Steel, communitysteelco.com. We had a stinker in Monday Night
- 2:28Speaker 4: Football last night.
- 2:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:29Speaker 4: We had some of the ugliest jerseys I've ever seen
- 2:32Speaker 4: with the Rams. Not a lot to break down there.
- 2:35Speaker 4: Jackson Dart, surprise, surprise, got hurt. Unfortunately.
- 2:39Speaker 8: Unfortunately, not a normal type of injury for him.
- 2:41Speaker 5: Not his normal. Not his fault. Not his normal injury.
- 2:44Speaker 7: So, Matt, if he is, do we know his injury yet,
- 2:47Speaker 7: like the extent of it?
- 2:48Speaker 5: I think four to six weeks. That's what the, someone
- 2:51Speaker 5: read the lips of a trainer.
- 2:52Speaker 7: That helps you out with your prediction.
- 2:56Speaker 5: That's true. No concussion.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Wait.
- 3:00Speaker 5: Oh, I was one of your bold predictions. No concussion. Okay.
- 3:04Speaker 3: All right.
- 3:08Speaker 5: Very exciting.
- 3:09Speaker 4: I can't really tell who's good and who's bad in
- 3:11Speaker 4: the NFL this year. I mean, there's some teams I
- 3:13Speaker 4: can tell you who's good and who's bad, but I'm
- 3:14Speaker 4: talking about for a vast majority of the teams, there's
- 3:17Speaker 4: like 22 teams or so.
- 3:19Speaker 3: Yep.
- 3:19Speaker 4: It'd be like that. From week to week, I'm like,
- 3:22Speaker 4: you're good.
- 3:22Speaker 5: You're terrible. Yeah, it'd be like that in the NFL,
- 3:25Speaker 5: doesn't it? It really does.
- 3:26Speaker 8: For a while, it's like that. And it's just, it's
- 3:29Speaker 8: really unfortunate. Like I texted y'all as soon as Jackson
- 3:32Speaker 8: dark got hurt. And I was like, man, it really sucks.
- 3:34Speaker 8: Just everybody's getting hurt these days.
- 3:36Speaker 5: I don't know. I don't know what's going on.
- 3:37Speaker 8: If people are too healthy, if people are like eating
- 3:41Speaker 8: too good and not gritty or.
- 3:43Speaker 5: Whatever, their bodies are just a little different.
- 3:44Speaker 4: Ocho Cinco said, there's some truth to that.
- 3:47Speaker 5: There is a little truth to it.
- 3:48Speaker 4: He said he never got hurt. He ate McDonald's all
- 3:50Speaker 4: the time. You gotta be forged in the fire a
- 3:51Speaker 4: little bit. Um, your gut's gotta be calloused.
- 3:54Speaker 5: You got to put a little cholesterol in them ligaments.
- 3:56Speaker 5: I don't know. I don't know how the body works.
- 3:58Speaker 5: I don't know if it works that way.
- 4:00Speaker 8: Got to. But everybody's getting hurt. And it's not just
- 4:03Speaker 8: Jackson Dart. All the stars going down.
- 4:07Speaker 4: Caleb Williams, Jaden Daniels, all starting quarterbacks that got carted off.
- 4:11Speaker 5: Sam Darnold. Sam Darnold.
- 4:14Speaker 4: Drew Locke, highest rated quarterback in the NFL this week.
- 4:17Speaker 5: Shout out. I mean, Drew Locke is really. Locked in. Yeah,
- 4:21Speaker 5: he's locked in.
- 4:22Speaker 6: Drew Locke season.
- 4:23Speaker 8: Drew Locke is going to make this top ten list
- 4:26Speaker 8: very hard. And a week two, just to your point,
- 4:30Speaker 8: you can't tell who's good and bad with injuries and
- 4:33Speaker 8: weird people playing well.
- 4:35Speaker 5: A top ten list in week two is tough. Is
- 4:37Speaker 5: Shaq going to be on there?
- 4:40Speaker 6: Who don't?
- 4:42Speaker 7: Shaq's going to be on there.
- 4:43Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 4:44Speaker 6: You're rage baiting.
- 4:45Speaker 5: You're just going to have to wait and see.
- 4:47Speaker 4: You're trying to be the guy that only puts out
- 4:50Speaker 4: a list.
- 4:50Speaker 5: Do I really?
- 4:51Speaker 4: Leaving somebody off on purpose or adding somebody on purpose
- 4:54Speaker 4: just to rage us.
- 4:56Speaker 5: Oh, that's Hollywood, baby.
- 5:00Speaker 6: This is Baton Rouge.
- 5:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:02Speaker 8: This is the capital city. The Hollywood of South Louisiana.
- 5:06Speaker 4: The Hollywood of the South?
- 5:07Speaker 7: I'm pretty sure that's Atlanta.
- 5:08Speaker 5: No, that's South Louisiana.
- 5:10Speaker 6: Gee, I'm pretty sure Hollywood of the South is Atlanta.
- 5:13Speaker 5: Isn't it? I think it's Dallas.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Can I tell y'all a funny, funny thing at one time?
- 5:18Speaker 3: No.
- 5:19Speaker 4: They used to call it the Hollywood of the South.
- 5:21Speaker 4: Shreveport because of all the movies they did there and
- 5:23Speaker 4: the movie studios they did. They did like three movie
- 5:26Speaker 4: studios there. And for a while, there was a long
- 5:29Speaker 4: list of movies. Like when you go to the airport
- 5:32Speaker 4: in Shreveport, it has a sign. Welcome to the Hollywood
- 5:35Speaker 4: of the South.
- 5:35Speaker 5: Baton Rouge Airport.
- 5:36Speaker 7: Everybody's like, hell yeah, we're finally here.
- 5:38Speaker 8: Baton Rouge Airport has those signs too over by the
- 5:41Speaker 8: luggage claim.
- 5:42Speaker 5: Do they? Yeah. Awesome. 21 Jump Street. Some Tom Cruise
- 5:47Speaker 5: movie about aliens. Pitch Perfect. Yeah, that one's on there.
- 5:50Speaker 7: I mean, that should be the first one.
- 5:52Speaker 5: Dukes of Hazzard, that's on there. I mean, it's not
- 5:55Speaker 5: like critically acclaimed. Do we have multiple Hollywoods in the
- 5:57Speaker 5: South and Louisiana? Feels like.
- 6:02Speaker 2: It.
- 6:02Speaker 7: So, Matt, would that make us the California of the South?
- 6:06Speaker 5: Oh, no, bud.
- 6:07Speaker 8: No?
- 6:07Speaker 5: No, no, no, no. Don't you put that evil on me,
- 6:13Speaker 5: Ricky Bobby. I'm about to ask. Go around the room.
- 6:19Speaker 4: You get one team in the NFL, 32 teams. Who's
- 6:22Speaker 4: the best team in the NFL after two weeks?
- 6:24Speaker 6: The Saints.
- 6:25Speaker 5: Okay, there you go.
- 6:27Speaker 7: The Buffalo Builders have a different feel about them this year.
- 6:29Speaker 5: Okay, all right.
- 6:31Speaker 8: They have a really good feel, but if we're ending
- 6:33Speaker 8: the year right now, they're losing to the Kansas City
- 6:37Speaker 8: Chiefs in the AFC championship, like they do. Look out
- 6:43Speaker 8: for the Bengals. Bengals are good. The AFC is very stacked.
- 6:49Speaker 8: I'm just saying, good luck in the playoffs, as is
- 6:53Speaker 8: beating the Chiefs.
- 6:56Speaker 5: It's cold.
- 6:58Speaker 7: Is Kenneth Walker the MVP right now?
- 7:00Speaker 5: After two weeks? Kenneth Walker is.
- 7:03Speaker 4: There's still no C-Alien.
- 7:04Speaker 5: It's Josh Allen. True.
- 7:06Speaker 7: Kenneth Walker has 379 scrimmage yards.
- 7:09Speaker 5: Yeah, he's been incredible. It's Josh Allen.
- 7:13Speaker 4: I got three NFC teams, if we're not being homers.
- 7:17Speaker 4: that right now look like they could be tough in
- 7:19Speaker 4: the playoffs because of their style and their DNA, the Vikings,
- 7:23Speaker 4: the Seahawks, and the 49ers.
- 7:26Speaker 5: 49ers. If Brock's playing like that.
- 7:31Speaker 8: I see you're Josh Allen, and I might raise you
- 7:33Speaker 8: to Brock Purdy right now.
- 7:34Speaker 7: They're staying healthy, too. Remember, we talked about it last year.
- 7:37Speaker 7: Kyle Shanahan won 12 games with that team a year
- 7:40Speaker 7: ago with all those injuries.
- 7:41Speaker 4: And Matt Jones is his quarterback for a lot of that.
- 7:44Speaker 5: Yeah. No, I saw some clips from Brock Purdy this
- 7:46Speaker 5: past week.
- 7:47Speaker 8: Playing some highlights and the, and the caption with it was,
- 7:52Speaker 8: thank God Brock Purdy has Kyle Shanahan to run this
- 7:54Speaker 8: offense for him.
- 7:55Speaker 5: And he was like making.
- 7:56Speaker 8: Off schedules, like incredible plays with his feet and scrambling around.
- 8:01Speaker 5: And I was like, Oh, okay.
- 8:03Speaker 8: I'm familiar with your game, but make me a little
- 8:07Speaker 8: bit more familiar with it like that, because it was,
- 8:09Speaker 8: it was pretty good.
- 8:10Speaker 5: He's playing an MVP level.
- 8:11Speaker 8: I was, I would assume that Brock Purdy is probably too,
- 8:14Speaker 8: Three at tops in your MVP odds.
- 8:20Speaker 4: And after last night where the Rams took the Giants
- 8:22Speaker 4: to the woodshed and the 49ers did that to the Rams,
- 8:26Speaker 4: I know the NFL is not like college. We can't
- 8:28Speaker 4: really go game for game like that.
- 8:32Speaker 8: Yeah, no, because it'll confuse you, especially two weeks in.
- 8:35Speaker 8: The NFL is hard to.
- 8:38Speaker 5: Gamble on, too. I don't even really try. Yeah, it'll
- 8:43Speaker 5: frustrate you.
- 8:45Speaker 8: I think if you're consistent and you believe in somebody
- 8:47Speaker 8: like over the course of a year, you're going to
- 8:50Speaker 8: do all right. Or you could potentially do all right.
- 8:54Speaker 8: But if you're just betting randomly every single week based
- 8:56Speaker 8: on the week before.
- 8:57Speaker 5: Oh, you're done. Got to be consistent.
- 9:00Speaker 4: One other name we need to throw into the conversation.
- 9:02Speaker 4: I think the NFL's leading passer, Mr. Tyler Shuck.
- 9:09Speaker 5: 662 yards.
- 9:11Speaker 8: I mean, keep beating people like Lamar Jackson on the road.
- 9:15Speaker 8: and throwing and leading the league in yards, then, yeah,
- 9:18Speaker 8: you will absolutely be in the conversation.
- 9:20Speaker 6: Maybe one day you'll make Matt's top ten list.
- 9:22Speaker 5: Maybe one day. That's the goal.
- 9:24Speaker 4: What about Kirk Cousins at home this week? 2-0 Kirk Cousins.
- 9:29Speaker 7: Everybody had the Raiders being 2-0.
- 9:31Speaker 5: No, the Saints are going to be in about double digits.
- 9:35Speaker 5: It's the Raiders. We're the mighty Saints. I didn't like that.
- 9:41Speaker 5: I didn't like that at all.
- 9:43Speaker 4: What?
- 9:44Speaker 5: Didn't sound right. Felt wrong. New Orleans.
- 9:46Speaker 8: The Hollywood of the South.
- 9:49Speaker 5: So we're adding a third.
- 9:49Speaker 7: So there's three.
- 9:51Speaker 6: Hollywoods of the South.
- 9:54Speaker 5: Got it. Same state.
- 9:56Speaker 2: In Louisiana. Gotcha.
- 9:58Speaker 8: God, I can't stop singing One by Creed in my
- 10:03Speaker 8: head right now.
- 10:04Speaker 5: What about One by Brian McKnight?
- 10:06Speaker 4: No.
- 10:06Speaker 5: Nope. I said Creed.
- 10:08Speaker 8: I know.
- 10:08Speaker 5: I was just asking. Brian McKnight didn't come out and
- 10:10Speaker 5: pop in my head once. He had a banger in
- 10:12Speaker 5: his One, though, you know. He did. Just saying. Yeah,
- 10:16Speaker 5: I like it.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 10:19Speaker 4: To the point of the NFL being the NFL, if
- 10:22Speaker 4: you take a look at some of the records around
- 10:26Speaker 4: the league that are probably surprising to some people, the
- 10:31Speaker 4: Houston Texans being 0-2, the Las Vegas Raiders being 2-0,
- 10:35Speaker 4: the Minnesota Vikings being 2-0.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Kyler.
- 10:42Speaker 4: Even the 49ers playing the Rams, them being 2-0. Kyler's
- 10:45Speaker 4: coming back for the Minnesota Vikings this week. The NFC
- 10:49Speaker 4: South is 1-1, 1-1, 0-2, and 0-2.
- 10:53Speaker 5: That's probably not that surprising. Consider me shocked.
- 10:58Speaker 4: God, we had Todd Bowles on the show yesterday because
- 11:00Speaker 4: he joins us every week.
- 11:01Speaker 5: What?
- 11:02Speaker 8: Why do you have them as a weekly?
- 11:03Speaker 5: They lost. I mean, they've lost two games. They lost
- 11:06Speaker 5: to the Browns. And, like, I mean, what do you do?
- 11:10Speaker 4: Like, you're asking him a question, and his answers are, yep, nope.
- 11:16Speaker 8: Wait, why would y'all decide? as a production to get
- 11:21Speaker 8: the most boring coach in the league, like more, more boring.
- 11:25Speaker 5: You're telling more. It's your former coach. It's true. Coach.
- 11:29Speaker 5: Tell us that. Hi, I will.
- 11:31Speaker 8: Um, we have, he cut me after he told me
- 11:35Speaker 8: guaranteed me. They weren't going to cut me for at
- 11:37Speaker 8: least three weeks in the season.
- 11:38Speaker 5: Then he cut me.
- 11:39Speaker 7: And I almost missed with Jake next time they have
- 11:40Speaker 7: him on.
- 11:41Speaker 8: Oh, don't worry. And my, uh, my wife was only
- 11:43Speaker 8: nine months pregnant at the time. And I decided to
- 11:45Speaker 8: go to get a guaranteed year. For retirement. And then
- 11:50Speaker 8: they lied to me after I threw two touchdowns at
- 11:52Speaker 8: 200 yards in one half. They're going to cut the
- 11:55Speaker 8: next day.
- 11:56Speaker 5: So think about it. Do. Feels like it.
- 11:58Speaker 8: And it's Todd Bowles. He's a piece of you know what.
- 12:02Speaker 5: We have Todd Bowles.
- 12:03Speaker 4: We have Dan Quinn and Mike McDonald as our weeklies.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Okay.
- 12:09Speaker 5: Why would you have Todd Bowles? He's boring. He's a
- 12:11Speaker 5: bad coach.
- 12:13Speaker 7: He is a bad coach.
- 12:14Speaker 4: Ooh.
- 12:14Speaker 5: And he says nothing, though, but you're trying to entertain
- 12:17Speaker 5: the people. I came into this. That's who they already had. Okay, gotcha.
- 12:23Speaker 5: You got no power. Zero. So let me interview him.
- 12:27Speaker 5: I'm the young buck.
- 12:30Speaker 8: Hey, Todd, why are you such a.
- 12:33Speaker 5: POS? I'll tell you what.
- 12:36Speaker 4: The day I get to interview John Elway, you'll get
- 12:39Speaker 4: to interview Todd Bowles.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Okay. Fair?
- 12:41Speaker 5: Fair.
- 12:42Speaker 3: Okay.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Okay.
- 12:43Speaker 5: I mean, I'm all for getting fired. Like, I got
- 12:45Speaker 5: fired plenty of times.
- 12:47Speaker 4: There's ways to fire people and ways not to fire people.
- 12:49Speaker 5: Don't be a POS about it.
- 12:52Speaker 4: I think that's why we'd want to interview those two people.
- 12:56Speaker 8: I remember Liz Lacey there. She was eight and a
- 12:58Speaker 8: half months prior. She wasn't nine. She was eight and
- 13:00Speaker 8: a half. But I'm reporting to training camp, and I say, baby,
- 13:04Speaker 8: this is our first child. Here's the deal. We are
- 13:08Speaker 8: seven years in the league at that point, so we're
- 13:11Speaker 8: going to go to eight. I said, I'm not leaving
- 13:13Speaker 8: because I'm going to play for this minimum, but I
- 13:16Speaker 8: need a guaranteed season, credited season, which is three games
- 13:21Speaker 8: to go so I can get eight years to retirement.
- 13:23Speaker 5: It's better. It's a big deal.
- 13:25Speaker 8: And I said, hey, Lacey, we're going to do this.
- 13:26Speaker 8: I'm going to go to New Jersey. I'm going to
- 13:27Speaker 8: go stay. I'm going to go play for the terrible,
- 13:29Speaker 8: terrible Jets. I'm going to have long hair. I'm going
- 13:33Speaker 8: to miss the birth of our first child.
- 13:36Speaker 5: Yeah. And we both agreed. It's the best for the family.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:42Speaker 5: And we did it. And I had a hurt hamstring.
- 13:45Speaker 5: I rehabbed. I worked my tail off. Yeah. Did you
- 13:48Speaker 5: miss the birth of Hook? No, I made it back. Okay.
- 13:51Speaker 5: I made it back because.
- 13:51Speaker 4: Are you September 9th?
- 13:53Speaker 5: Yeah. September 9th. Yeah. Made it back. So it was
- 13:57Speaker 5: kind of all for naught, but they lied to me.
- 14:02Speaker 8: So if y'all could just play some sad music in
- 14:05Speaker 8: the background, that'd be great and feel sorry for me.
- 14:09Speaker 9: I don't feel sorry for somebody that made a bunch
- 14:12Speaker 9: of money.
- 14:12Speaker 6: I really don't.
- 14:13Speaker 4: Did you end up getting that credited season?
- 14:16Speaker 8: I did. I made it, came with the Saints. So
- 14:20Speaker 8: it all worked out, actually. You didn't have to play
- 14:22Speaker 8: for the Jets.
- 14:23Speaker 5: You got to come home and play for the Saints.
- 14:24Speaker 5: And you got to see Huck's birth.
- 14:26Speaker 7: And you got to play with Drew Brees.
- 14:27Speaker 8: Yeah, everything's good. I got to play with Drew Brees.
- 14:30Speaker 5: That's right.
- 14:32Speaker 6: You got to play with so many people.
- 14:35Speaker 5: Learned so much. Tom Brady.
- 14:39Speaker 3: No.
- 14:40Speaker 5: Dangerous.
- 14:41Speaker 8: I just get fired up when I talk about the
- 14:43Speaker 8: Jets because they're terrible and awful and terrible organization.
- 14:46Speaker 7: He got to play with Breeze, Brady, and Russell Wilson.
- 14:49Speaker 5: And Aaron Rodgers.
- 14:50Speaker 8: And Aaron Rodgers.
- 14:51Speaker 7: I mean, four all-time greats.
- 14:56Speaker 5: Yeah. That's definitely the.
- 14:59Speaker 5: You named him in the list. Luke McCown. Yeah.
- 15:07Speaker 8: Anyway, we started this off by just saying, Todd Bowles stinks,
- 15:11Speaker 8: Jets stink, and they're liars.
- 15:14Speaker 5: Jets aren't. Oh, yeah, they stink. Oh, they always stink. Forever.
- 15:19Speaker 5: Forever and always.
- 15:20Speaker 7: Like, Dante Moore went back to college this year because
- 15:22Speaker 7: he was afraid he was going to go play for
- 15:24Speaker 7: the Jets. And honestly, that's probably why Trinidad went back, too.
- 15:27Speaker 8: He still might play for them, just like out of
- 15:28Speaker 8: the seventh round.
- 15:29Speaker 5: Yeah. Dante?
- 15:31Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 15:32Speaker 5: All right. We'll take a break.
- 15:34Speaker 4: More OTB when we come back here live from the
- 15:36Speaker 4: Raising Cane Studio. off the bench all right go to
- 15:41Speaker 4: trash rangers.com trash rangers.com residential commercial trash pickup service right

- 17:17Speaker 5: Sound, my breath, the ocean.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn, presented
- 17:23Speaker 1: by Community Steel.
- 17:25Speaker 3: My face showing no emotion. Shackled by my sentence, expecting
- 17:33Speaker 3: no return. Here there is no penance, my skin begins
- 17:40Speaker 3: to burn.
- 17:43Speaker 2: So I held my head up high.
- 17:45Speaker 4: All right, welcome back in OTV. You're live from the
- 17:51Speaker 4: Raising Cane Studio.
- 17:52Speaker 8: And I'm with my little captain.
- 17:58Speaker 5: Book reads. On a Tuesday.
- 18:02Speaker 8: I almost feel like we should even talk about sports.
- 18:04Speaker 8: We should just listen to Creed together.
- 18:07Speaker 5: We have a channel for that. Eagle 98.1.
- 18:10Speaker 4: Do they play Creed Alondra? Would that be, they fall
- 18:13Speaker 4: into the category?
- 18:14Speaker 6: Yeah, they play Creed.
- 18:15Speaker 5: Play Creed? Okay.
- 18:16Speaker 8: Because it's not.
- 18:17Speaker 6: It's not classic rock.
- 18:18Speaker 5: It's not classic rock anymore. It's just rock.
- 18:19Speaker 6: It's just rock station.
- 18:20Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 18:21Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 18:22Speaker 9: So when people are like, oh, you're playing music that's
- 18:24Speaker 9: classic rock, or it's now like classic rock, but it's
- 18:27Speaker 9: what I listened to when I was young or whatever.
- 18:29Speaker 6: I'm like, no, well, it's just rock now.
- 18:31Speaker 5: You're like, you're old. I'm like, yeah, duh. No, it's
- 18:34Speaker 5: just rock now. Yeah, it's because you're old.
- 18:35Speaker 9: Because people will message me about like Blink-182 and be like,
- 18:39Speaker 9: this is classic.
- 18:40Speaker 6: And I'm like, no, it's just.
- 18:42Speaker 8: It's hard to read.
- 18:42Speaker 5: It's hard to rebrand in people's minds.
- 18:44Speaker 6: Yeah, no, for sure.
- 18:45Speaker 5: No, I get it. Blink-182 is 25 years old, so.
- 18:48Speaker 6: When do you? I feel like classic, I think of
- 18:50Speaker 6: like the 70s.
- 18:51Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, me too, but we're old.
- 18:54Speaker 5: It's like when I think of oldies, I think of 60s. Yeah.
- 18:58Speaker 5: Oldies to me is 60s. Classic is 70s. 80s is 80s.
- 19:03Speaker 2: 80s.
- 19:04Speaker 1: 90s, 90s.
- 19:05Speaker 6: No, 80s is like classic to me.
- 19:07Speaker 5: Is it?
- 19:08Speaker 6: Yeah, because.
- 19:09Speaker 5: Again, because we're old.
- 19:12Speaker 4: It all comes back to us being old.
- 19:13Speaker 5: Yep.
- 19:14Speaker 6: I'm getting there.
- 19:14Speaker 9: I told y'all, I had to take a Tums for
- 19:17Speaker 9: the first time in my life the other day.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Ooh.
- 19:19Speaker 5: It was a pizza. You got aunt? I'm an auntie.
- 19:25Speaker 5: You're an auntie. I like that even better.
- 19:28Speaker 7: I always was.
- 19:28Speaker 6: I go to sleep.
- 19:29Speaker 5: You do be going to sleep real early.
- 19:31Speaker 6: Auntie time.
- 19:31Speaker 7: I take two tums before bed every night.
- 19:34Speaker 5: Oh, my God. For your little tum-tum?
- 19:36Speaker 6: So, you know, that was my first time. I haven't
- 19:38Speaker 6: had to do it again.
- 19:40Speaker 7: I could, like, I'm thinking, I'm like, what did I
- 19:42Speaker 7: have for lunch today? I'm like, a sandwich and water.
- 19:46Speaker 7: Makes sense why I have this indigestion.
- 19:48Speaker 5: I think you might get that check.
- 19:51Speaker 7: Victoria got prescription because when she was pregnant it was
- 19:56Speaker 7: so bad.
- 19:57Speaker 8: Indigestion.
- 19:58Speaker 7: She had a ton left over. I snagged them bad boys.
- 20:00Speaker 7: We take one every morning.
- 20:02Speaker 4: Some people try to snag other stuff. This man's over
- 20:05Speaker 4: here getting prescription Tums.
- 20:06Speaker 5: Wow. Maybe you can sell those in the LP. I
- 20:09Speaker 5: don't know. They're incredible.
- 20:10Speaker 7: I could drink motor oil and not feel anything.
- 20:13Speaker 5: Do you buy it from the trunk of someone's car
- 20:15Speaker 5: in a parking lot?
- 20:16Speaker 3: No.
- 20:17Speaker 7: These were prescribed.
- 20:18Speaker 5: In a van down by a river?
- 20:19Speaker 7: I checked the bottle. She got two more refills left.
- 20:22Speaker 7: That feels illegal.
- 20:25Speaker 8: What's going on in Livingston? Is there weird tap water there?
- 20:29Speaker 7: She had indigestion while she was pregnant for whatever reason.
- 20:32Speaker 5: That's normal. A woman's hospital gave her... For a 30-year-old Man.
- 20:40Speaker 5: I don't eat grape.
- 20:41Speaker 6: It's the pizza that got me.
- 20:42Speaker 7: I don't eat grape.
- 20:43Speaker 5: That's a good point.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 20:45Speaker 6: Taylor does not care about his body.
- 20:47Speaker 9: That's true.
- 20:48Speaker 6: He's just like burgers. What is it?
- 20:50Speaker 2: Chili dogs.
- 20:51Speaker 4: Ooh.
- 20:52Speaker 6: Chili dog.
- 20:52Speaker 8: Top, top.
- 20:53Speaker 6: Monster energy drinks is all he consumes.
- 20:55Speaker 5: His body is just a crappy temple. Yep.
- 21:04Speaker 4: Nobody trusts a gas station chili dog like Taylor Sharpe.
- 21:09Speaker 5: Circle K sushi? I'm out on that. All right.
- 21:16Speaker 4: One thing we did not really dive into yesterday was
- 21:19Speaker 4: the top 25. LSU didn't fall far. They only fall
- 21:24Speaker 4: to number 10, so three spots down. So your top
- 21:27Speaker 4: 10 in college football still includes the LSU Tigers. It's Texas, Georgia,
- 21:32Speaker 4: Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Indiana, Miami, Ohio State, Alabama, BYU,
- 21:37Speaker 4: and LSU. First place votes, Texas 58, Georgia 3, Ole
- 21:42Speaker 4: Miss 3, Indiana 4, and Miami 1. I really don't
- 21:50Speaker 4: get the AP poll at all, if I'm being completely honest. Like,
- 21:54Speaker 4: Texas should be 1. They beat Ohio State.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:57Speaker 4: Like, objectively, Ole Miss should be 2. They had the
- 22:03Speaker 4: second best win.
- 22:05Speaker 10: And.
- 22:06Speaker 4: Georgia, who I think is really good, hasn't beaten anybody.
- 22:09Speaker 4: Notre Dame hasn't beaten anybody, like even close to the
- 22:11Speaker 4: top 25. Indiana hasn't beaten anybody close to the top 25.
- 22:17Speaker 5: And Ole Miss has beaten Louisville and LSU. So that's
- 22:20Speaker 5: two ranked wins. Love it or hate it, I'm.
- 22:23Speaker 4: Just telling you, that's two ranked wins. The polls for me,
- 22:29Speaker 4: we still go off preseason narratives, and I really don't
- 22:31Speaker 4: know why we continue to do that.
- 22:33Speaker 7: Okay, remember LSU was, what, 11th? In the AP when
- 22:37Speaker 7: the season started?
- 22:37Speaker 5: 11 or 12, yeah.
- 22:38Speaker 7: Did y'all see the list of, it was after LSU
- 22:41Speaker 7: beat Clemson 51 to 10. Somebody put LSU at 15,
- 22:44Speaker 7: week two in the AP poll. Honestly, a lot of
- 22:47Speaker 7: these AP voters don't care and they just do it
- 22:50Speaker 7: for fun. They're like, who can I put high or
- 22:53Speaker 7: too low to fire everybody up? The AP poll sucks.
- 22:57Speaker 5: Well, I mean, the coaches poll, I have an Ole
- 22:59Speaker 5: Miss at six. That's pretty dumb.
- 23:01Speaker 4: I hadn't even gotten there yet. And I know, like,
- 23:08Speaker 4: so Indiana, defending national champs.
- 23:10Speaker 5: I get it. But they've played North Texas, Howard, and
- 23:14Speaker 5: Western Kentucky.
- 23:15Speaker 8: Damn.
- 23:18Speaker 5: Damn.
- 23:18Speaker 8: Big time.
- 23:21Speaker 4: Georgia, again, really good football team, I think. Tennessee State,
- 23:25Speaker 4: Western Kentucky. Who scheduled Western Kentucky's schedule?
- 23:28Speaker 5: Oh, my God. And Arkansas.
- 23:30Speaker 4: Arkansas. Don't really know why we have these until week four.
- 23:38Speaker 4: So I'm in week four and then say, hey, here's
- 23:40Speaker 4: our top 25 after four weeks. I mean, for LSU,
- 23:45Speaker 4: it's actually, I mean, look, only falling to 10. That's
- 23:48Speaker 4: good for you. You get two mulligans if you want
- 23:52Speaker 4: to make the college football playoff. I think we all
- 23:54Speaker 4: agree there. Maybe you might, maybe, maybe get three.
- 23:57Speaker 5: Maybe. It could happen. I wouldn't bank on it. So
- 24:00Speaker 5: you get two.
- 24:02Speaker 4: The loss doesn't kill you. The only problem is you
- 24:05Speaker 4: use one of your mulligans in the first three weeks.
- 24:07Speaker 7: Right.
- 24:08Speaker 4: It's like if, I don't know golf, I don't play golf,
- 24:11Speaker 4: but if you're at a big tournament and you get
- 24:13Speaker 4: a couple mulligans and you use one on the second hole,
- 24:15Speaker 4: you're probably not feeling great about it.
- 24:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 24:18Speaker 4: But you still have something left. Now you know you
- 24:20Speaker 4: got to play a little bit better. You know you
- 24:23Speaker 4: only have one left and you don't want to lean
- 24:24Speaker 4: on that mulligan that you have, but you know you
- 24:26Speaker 4: only got one left.
- 24:28Speaker 5: Yeah, Tiger Woods, he'd always save his mulligan for the
- 24:30Speaker 5: back nine.
- 24:31Speaker 4: I was talking about more like, charity golf tournaments like
- 24:34Speaker 4: you play in, you know? Not the actual PGA.
- 24:37Speaker 9: And someone who has your number is coming into your
- 24:40Speaker 9: house this week.
- 24:42Speaker 6: So don't use up those two mulligans in the first
- 24:46Speaker 6: month of the season.
- 24:48Speaker 2: Oh, man.
- 24:48Speaker 4: Because even games, so this game, obviously, because we've seen
- 24:53Speaker 4: it the last two years how it's played out in
- 24:54Speaker 4: the second half.
- 24:56Speaker 5: Then you got McNeese. Okay.
- 24:58Speaker 4: But games like at Kentucky and Mississippi State, those look
- 25:01Speaker 4: completely different. Now, at Auburn, we'll see what they look like.
- 25:05Speaker 4: They lost to Florida at home.
- 25:07Speaker 6: Florida looks good, though.
- 25:08Speaker 4: Florida looks really good. The score in that Florida-Auburn game,
- 25:12Speaker 4: it was closer than the game felt.
- 25:13Speaker 6: Yeah. They're 21st now, Florida?
- 25:17Speaker 5: I think so. Yeah.
- 25:18Speaker 4: And then you have Alabama and Texas at home and
- 25:22Speaker 4: on the road against Tennessee and then on the road
- 25:23Speaker 4: against Arkansas, which I think us four could give it
- 25:26Speaker 4: a try against Arkansas. but Kentucky and Mississippi State look
- 25:30Speaker 4: different we already know what Alabama Texas and Tennessee are
- 25:33Speaker 4: so we bring all of that up to say like
- 25:36Speaker 4: the mulligan you have is a singular mulligan now and
- 25:40Speaker 4: this game right here feels as important as any of
- 25:43Speaker 4: the games that I just laid out you just came
- 25:46Speaker 4: off a loss it's a team that has your number
- 25:48Speaker 4: it's a chance to get back into a conversation of
- 25:52Speaker 4: being one of the better teams in the country. If
- 25:53Speaker 4: you go out, if you handle business, I think it
- 25:55Speaker 4: gives you a lot of confidence. Then you play McNeese,
- 25:58Speaker 4: you get even more confidence, and then you get ready
- 26:00Speaker 4: to go on the road against Kentucky. This one right
- 26:02Speaker 4: here feels as important as any game left on the schedule.
- 26:05Speaker 7: It's not a must-win per se, but, I.
- 26:08Speaker 5: Mean, it kind of is.
- 26:10Speaker 6: I think it's.
- 26:10Speaker 7: About as close to a must-win as you can get.
- 26:12Speaker 7: I was thinking about it Sunday.
- 26:13Speaker 5: I mean, to your point, technically, I guess.
- 26:15Speaker 8: Technically, yes.
- 26:16Speaker 4: Then you'd have to run the table. This one feels.
- 26:18Speaker 5: Must-win to me. It kind of is. I was thinking
- 26:19Speaker 5: about it. With the schedule that's left. Yeah.
- 26:22Speaker 6: Number one team in the country. Maybe they won't be,
- 26:24Speaker 6: but they're coming here. Yeah.
- 26:27Speaker 7: I was thinking about it Sunday. I was like, you know,
- 26:29Speaker 7: if you take care of Kentucky State, everybody that you're
- 26:32Speaker 7: projected to, I mean, again, those teams are better than
- 26:34Speaker 7: we thought. Can you split Alabama and Texas? If you
- 26:38Speaker 7: do that, you're two wins if you beat everybody else.
- 26:40Speaker 7: But you got to win this damn game. Because if
- 26:42Speaker 7: you don't, you got to beat Alabama and Texas. And
- 26:44Speaker 7: that seems like a really hard thing to do right now.
- 26:47Speaker 7: They both actually look pretty good, so you've got to
- 26:49Speaker 7: win this game. Yeah, if you win this game, you
- 26:50Speaker 7: realistically hold your future in your own hands. Like, you
- 26:54Speaker 7: have to– I.
- 26:56Speaker 8: Don't know how– like, if your team's not good enough
- 27:00Speaker 8: to beat Ole Miss, like one of Ole Miss or
- 27:04Speaker 8: A & M, then you're not good enough to run
- 27:05Speaker 8: the table. Right. Right.
- 27:06Speaker 6: I mean, that's just– To win out the rest of
- 27:08Speaker 6: the season.
- 27:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 27:09Speaker 8: Like, I get it.
- 27:10Speaker 5: A & M, Ole Miss, both dangerous games. Both good.
- 27:14Speaker 8: Ole Miss is going to be one of the top five.
- 27:16Speaker 8: They got the Heisman contender, blah, blah, blah. A &
- 27:18Speaker 8: M' s had your number. But, like, if you are a
- 27:21Speaker 8: contender for the playoffs, you should at least split those games, right? So,
- 27:25Speaker 8: if you don't win this, that's why, to me, this
- 27:28Speaker 8: is a must win. Because if you don't win it,
- 27:30Speaker 8: you're not good enough to win out.
- 27:31Speaker 5: That's fair.
- 27:34Speaker 4: Nobody should expect, if you lose this one, to win out.
- 27:37Speaker 8: No, nobody should be like, wow, we're going to win it.
- 27:39Speaker 8: We got to win it out. And like realistically think
- 27:42Speaker 8: it's going to happen. No, we could always be surprised.
- 27:44Speaker 8: Sports is awesome like that. But this, to me, is
- 27:48Speaker 8: a must win.
- 27:49Speaker 5: Yeah. 100%. I don't know. I don't remember.
- 27:52Speaker 4: So if I'm wrong, correct me. I think we all
- 27:54Speaker 4: said 10 and 2.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:55Speaker 5: For this team. I think across the board, that was
- 27:57Speaker 5: our prediction.
- 27:58Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 27:59Speaker 2: But.
- 28:00Speaker 5: Stop it.
- 28:01Speaker 7: You already won.
- 28:02Speaker 5: I'm already won. I lost. I don't know what I said, actually.
- 28:07Speaker 9: I think I said 10-2, and then I think I
- 28:09Speaker 9: said Auburn because it's in Auburn.
- 28:13Speaker 6: And I said Texas.
- 28:15Speaker 5: And you know.
- 28:17Speaker 8: Kentucky is going to have, like, the craziest wide receiver
- 28:20Speaker 8: screens ready for us.
- 28:21Speaker 6: The most insane screens.
- 28:23Speaker 5: It's going to be like no one's ever thought of them.
- 28:26Speaker 3: Zero run game.
- 28:26Speaker 4: You think you've seen inside zone run before?
- 28:29Speaker 5: Like, wait until the LSU game. Joe Sloan, proven a point.
- 28:33Speaker 7: The last time you went to Kentucky, though, like, you've
- 28:36Speaker 7: struggled there a little bit.
- 28:37Speaker 5: Like, they blew you out last time.
- 28:39Speaker 8: It's almost an impossible place to play.
- 28:40Speaker 5: I don't think you need to bring that up.
- 28:42Speaker 8: It's the hardest place to play ever, like, of any
- 28:45Speaker 8: stadium ever built in the world in history.
- 28:46Speaker 5: That was unnecessary.
- 28:47Speaker 4: Yeah, it's the history of the world.
- 28:50Speaker 7: I think that's the last two times we've been there.
- 28:52Speaker 5: It is.
- 28:53Speaker 7: So, I mean, you've lost the last two.
- 28:54Speaker 8: Times you've played there. We shouldn't be catching strays because, oh,
- 28:57Speaker 8: she lost at Ole Miss.
- 28:59Speaker 4: Right.
- 28:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:00Speaker 5: Don't bring us in this. Something 20 years old.
- 29:03Speaker 7: Don't have a lost Ole Miss, so.
- 29:05Speaker 5: No, it did not.
- 29:05Speaker 4: Right.
- 29:07Speaker 6: Or Alabama.
- 29:08Speaker 5: Or Alabama. Kentucky, maybe. Kentucky, we were 1-1.
- 29:12Speaker 7: Yeah, but if y'all were on this team, we wouldn't
- 29:14Speaker 7: have to worry about the Kentucky game. We wouldn't have
- 29:16Speaker 7: lost the whole minute.
- 29:17Speaker 5: So true. It's fair. And we would have been triple
- 29:20Speaker 5: overtime loss.
- 29:22Speaker 8: So we all agree we got to win this one
- 29:23Speaker 8: or the season's over? It's over, Sam.
- 29:26Speaker 7: It's not over, but you have literally zero margin for error.
- 29:30Speaker 5: It is a must win. I think.
- 29:32Speaker 7: I'm It's as must win as you get without your
- 29:36Speaker 7: season literally being over.
- 29:37Speaker 8: I'm being very hyperbolic.
- 29:39Speaker 5: Hyperbolic.
- 29:39Speaker 8: You're not far off, though.
- 29:41Speaker 5: But it is. To me, it is.
- 29:43Speaker 8: Because it'll show you where you're. I mean, these two
- 29:45Speaker 8: games will be a really good litmus test for where
- 29:48Speaker 8: you are at as a team.
- 29:50Speaker 5: Yeah. It can always improve and get better, but everybody's
- 29:52Speaker 5: going to get better as well.
- 29:53Speaker 4: Yeah, the bounce back, too. How you bounce back. How
- 29:56Speaker 4: you respond to adversity and losing that game and There's
- 29:59Speaker 4: two ways.
- 29:59Speaker 5: There's only two.
- 30:01Speaker 4: Either get pissed off about it and you go handle
- 30:04Speaker 4: your business or you feel sorry for yourself. And then
- 30:07Speaker 4: they handle their business at your place.
- 30:09Speaker 8: The way that they play and the way that I
- 30:11Speaker 8: see them play throughout the game and the way that
- 30:14Speaker 8: they still rally to the ball and hustle every, I
- 30:17Speaker 8: think I know how this team is going to respond.
- 30:19Speaker 5: True.
- 30:20Speaker 8: But they still have to execute. But from a mental standpoint,
- 30:24Speaker 8: from a spiritual standpoint, from a physical standpoint throughout the week, what,
- 30:28Speaker 8: I know after watching them how this team will respond.
- 30:32Speaker 4: Because they would have laid down in the past.
- 30:36Speaker 5: They could have.
- 30:37Speaker 8: The thought was there, certainly, because you saw them lay
- 30:42Speaker 8: down during games and not fight. I don't think this
- 30:44Speaker 8: team has that. Now, they still have to execute. Sam
- 30:46Speaker 8: Leavitt has to play 100 times better, and he knows that.
- 30:52Speaker 8: I'm not saying anything that I think he's got all
- 30:55Speaker 8: the talent in the world. I think he could make
- 30:57Speaker 8: these huge jumps. I think he could be one of
- 30:59Speaker 8: the best quarterbacks in the country, but he's got to
- 31:01Speaker 8: get better.
- 31:01Speaker 4: At some point, and maybe it's even when we come back,
- 31:04Speaker 4: he has to.
- 31:05Speaker 5: No doubt. Nobody can say anything different.
- 31:09Speaker 4: The situation in front of him was a little bit
- 31:11Speaker 4: tougher than I thought.
- 31:13Speaker 5: As far as what? Interior pressure. I knew it was
- 31:16Speaker 5: bad watching the game live. I didn't know it was
- 31:19Speaker 5: as bad.
- 31:19Speaker 4: It's not to say, like, some of the throws, it's
- 31:22Speaker 4: still the mechanics.
- 31:24Speaker 8: I got to tell you, I didn't love Lane's press conference.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 31:28Speaker 5: I didn't listen. I didn't love it.
- 31:30Speaker 6: The confidence part.
- 31:32Speaker 5: The confidence part.
- 31:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:33Speaker 5: Quarterbacks get hit.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:35Speaker 5: And that middle school, quarterbacks get hit. High school, college,
- 31:41Speaker 5: you don't always have the best protection. Right. You got
- 31:44Speaker 5: to make your line a little bit better, too. As
- 31:46Speaker 5: a quarterback, you can make your line better.
- 31:48Speaker 8: I didn't like the– I didn't love the press conference
- 31:50Speaker 8: about the whole confidence thing.
- 31:51Speaker 5: Oh, man, now I got to.
- 31:52Speaker 6: Go back and– I'll find it.
- 31:54Speaker 5: We should listen to it.
- 31:56Speaker 6: The entire thing?
- 31:57Speaker 8: I mean, I don't 100% disagree with him.
- 32:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:00Speaker 5: But, like.
- 32:02Speaker 6: It doesn't feel. It doesn't inspire confidence.
- 32:05Speaker 5: There was one yesterday. Again, without knowing what he said.
- 32:08Speaker 4: But there was one yesterday that we talked about that
- 32:11Speaker 4: you had an open receiver.
- 32:12Speaker 5: I believe.
- 32:14Speaker 4: I don't even remember what quarter it was. I think
- 32:18Speaker 4: it was the first quarter. It might have been the second.
- 32:20Speaker 5: It was early. First half.
- 32:22Speaker 4: Where both his feet were off the ground. instead of
- 32:25Speaker 4: taking a hit and delivering a pass. It would have
- 32:27Speaker 4: been an easy– it was a wide-open receiver.
- 32:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 32:30Speaker 4: And he kind of jumped in the air.
- 32:31Speaker 8: Very early in the game, too, which kind of goes
- 32:34Speaker 8: against what Lane was kind of saying in the press.
- 32:37Speaker 8: Can we find that and play it on the other side?
- 32:39Speaker 5: All right, we'll take a break.

- 34:15Speaker 2: and time again.
- 34:20Speaker 3: It's so nice, I thought to stay asleep. Because I
- 34:27Speaker 3: don't want to leave the comfort of this place.
- 34:31Speaker 4: All right, welcome back in. OTB Tuesday shows brought to

- 34:38Speaker 4: in Gonzales, Louisiana, communitysteelco.com.
- 34:42Speaker 8: Is that Community Steel? Is that the reason we have
- 34:45Speaker 8: these beautiful golden panels behind us?
- 34:47Speaker 5: It is.
- 34:48Speaker 4: It's why the studio is lit up in gold as well.
- 34:51Speaker 5: I love today so much.
- 34:52Speaker 2: Today.
- 34:55Speaker 5: Today.
- 34:57Speaker 8: Uh-huh.
- 34:58Speaker 6: Today. I just love today.
- 34:59Speaker 8: Today.
- 35:00Speaker 5: Today's the best. I love it. I love Creed.
- 35:04Speaker 6: Is it taking you higher?
- 35:05Speaker 8: It is. How many people in Livingston Parish, Taylor, are
- 35:07Speaker 8: getting their buckets out, their soap, their big sponges, about
- 35:11Speaker 8: to hand wash that car of theirs?
- 35:13Speaker 7: I didn't know where you were going, but yeah, a lot, probably.
- 35:16Speaker 7: I thought you were just going to say bathe. I
- 35:17Speaker 7: was like, Matt, we have indoor plumbing out there, man.
- 35:20Speaker 5: No, I told y'all. A few of us do.
- 35:22Speaker 8: Livingston Parish has the most car, like, hand-washing... Hand car
- 35:27Speaker 8: washers per capita anywhere in the United States of America.
- 35:30Speaker 7: I believe it's got to be up there.
- 35:32Speaker 5: It's got to be up there.
- 35:34Speaker 7: Lights under the truck.
- 35:36Speaker 5: No doubt.
- 35:37Speaker 9: When's the last time you hand washed your car?
- 35:42Speaker 6: Could not tell you the last time I hand washed
- 35:43Speaker 6: the car.
- 35:45Speaker 5: I don't think I ever have hand-washed the car.
- 35:47Speaker 7: The truck I sold.
- 35:48Speaker 5: When I was a kid, we used to.
- 35:50Speaker 8: Maybe in high school. Maybe my first car, I did
- 35:51Speaker 8: it once, and then the novelty wore off. The truck
- 35:54Speaker 8: I just sold.
- 35:55Speaker 5: It had, like, the little glove you put on. And
- 35:57Speaker 5: you dip it in soap? No.
- 35:59Speaker 8: I mean, you could just do a drive-in, drive-thru car
- 36:01Speaker 8: wash for, like, 50 cents back.
- 36:03Speaker 5: In the day.
- 36:04Speaker 9: Yeah, but when I was a kid, the parents would
- 36:07Speaker 9: be outside, and it'd be fun because it was, like, yeah.
- 36:11Speaker 6: But no, I have not done that in a very
- 36:13Speaker 6: long time.
- 36:14Speaker 5: Just drive Lewis and Paris.
- 36:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:16Speaker 5: You got it. If it's a road of 20, 20 houses,
- 36:20Speaker 5: it's probably 13.
- 36:21Speaker 6: Yeah, for sure. You should do an OTB car wash.
- 36:25Speaker 6: Raise funds for I don't know what.
- 36:30Speaker 5: Get in there. I'll raise funds for. I don't know.
- 36:33Speaker 8: I don't know for us.
- 36:35Speaker 5: Let's just line our pockets.
- 36:38Speaker 7: We got a charge for.
- 36:39Speaker 5: That, though. I mean, tips.
- 36:41Speaker 6: Donation base in there, boy.
- 36:44Speaker 7: I'm just saying like the money depends on how far
- 36:49Speaker 7: I get. So, I mean, I'll slide down the hood
- 36:53Speaker 7: if you need me to.
- 36:55Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 36:55Speaker 5: I think Taylor's a little too excited.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 36:57Speaker 3: He's like, I'm game.
- 36:58Speaker 6: Let's do it.
- 36:58Speaker 5: Let's do it. Do we do it? Do we do
- 36:59Speaker 5: it in speedos or what?
- 37:01Speaker 7: It all depends on the money, guys. You could be like,
- 37:04Speaker 7: aren't you above that? No, not really.
- 37:07Speaker 8: I think the next pair of your jeans that are
- 37:09Speaker 8: in line to, You turn into shorts. You can just
- 37:11Speaker 8: cut them a little higher. The next pair, yeah.
- 37:13Speaker 5: The next pair. I mean, I know you got a lineup.
- 37:16Speaker 5: You're my next short.
- 37:18Speaker 2: All right.
- 37:18Speaker 5: On that note.
- 37:19Speaker 7: I got plans for you.
- 37:21Speaker 5: I got plans for you, Jeans. Didn't you say that
- 37:24Speaker 5: you wanted to hear something? I don't remember. I'm so
- 37:27Speaker 5: excited about this car wash now. Alondra, did you cut? Yeah,
- 37:30Speaker 5: I have it.
- 37:31Speaker 4: I've got it.
- 37:31Speaker 10: Here we go.
- 37:32Speaker 4: Here we go.
- 37:33Speaker 6: On Sam Levitt's confidence.
- 37:34Speaker 4: Big sound show here.
- 37:36Speaker 10: I break it down to them so they see, okay, hey, wait,
- 37:38Speaker 10: that seems easy to throw the ball to the open
- 37:40Speaker 10: guy for a touchdown, but when you get impacted early
- 37:42Speaker 10: in the game by rush, that they did a really
- 37:44Speaker 10: good job, and you can't step up, and you're getting
- 37:47Speaker 10: beat inside, and the guy's open, and you can't step
- 37:50Speaker 10: up and throw in rhythm, it affects you. Confidence is
- 37:53Speaker 10: fragile at every position, but especially at quarterback, because it's
- 37:56Speaker 10: the one position you've got to do your job with
- 37:58Speaker 10: potentially getting hit from all over. And when you have success,
- 38:01Speaker 10: a lot of the plays he was having success with
- 38:03Speaker 10: taking off on his own and doing things. So it's
- 38:06Speaker 10: hard to stay in there when that's how the game
- 38:07Speaker 10: was going. But he knows he's going to do a
- 38:09Speaker 10: better job of that, even in those situations, and deliver
- 38:13Speaker 10: the ball on time and not try too much.
- 38:18Speaker 7: Give me your two-minute spiel right here.
- 38:21Speaker 8: Yeah, I don't love this. I don't love this response.
- 38:24Speaker 8: I don't love when you're talking about your quarterback. quarterback
- 38:28Speaker 8: after week three losing to a you know top two
- 38:30Speaker 8: three team right now in the country saying your confidence
- 38:33Speaker 8: is fragile that's not probably a word choice i would
- 38:36Speaker 8: and i understand what he's saying like there's only so
- 38:39Speaker 8: much you can do as a quarterback it's a team
- 38:40Speaker 8: sport now you're the leader of that team you got
- 38:42Speaker 8: to take the good the bad that comes with it
- 38:45Speaker 8: but i will say this like it was not it's
- 38:47Speaker 8: not because of pressure that is making sam levitt rush
- 38:52Speaker 8: his reeds Or take off running and not, you know,
- 38:56Speaker 8: keep his head downfield, which he needs to be better
- 38:59Speaker 8: at that. There's lots of things that Sam Leavitt needs
- 39:02Speaker 8: to improve at when you watch the film.
- 39:04Speaker 5: Now, there's lots of things that he does really well.
- 39:06Speaker 5: There's an ability that he has.
- 39:07Speaker 8: An athletic ability that you cannot coach, that can be
- 39:10Speaker 8: harnessed and honed in to a very special player behind
- 39:15Speaker 8: the center.
- 39:16Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 39:18Speaker 8: I would understand what he's saying. If you're getting pressure
- 39:20Speaker 8: and it's affecting the way you're going through your progressions
- 39:22Speaker 8: and it's affecting your confidence, well, his rushed mechanics and
- 39:28Speaker 8: rushing through reads shows itself. up in the first drive
- 39:31Speaker 8: of every game this year. So it's not necessarily not
- 39:35Speaker 8: trusting offensive line and only thinking I can run the ball.
- 39:38Speaker 8: So I don't love this response by Lane now. He
- 39:41Speaker 8: has to talk to the media a lot and everything's
- 39:43Speaker 8: under magnifying glass.
- 39:44Speaker 5: I get it.
- 39:45Speaker 4: I think he's also probably trying to... trying to back
- 39:49Speaker 4: a player up right now that he's that he knows
- 39:51Speaker 4: is catching some bullets on the internet too i think
- 39:54Speaker 4: there's some of that.
- 39:56Speaker 8: Probably so but i always want like i would want
- 39:58Speaker 8: my coach to be like yeah sam's got him better
- 40:00Speaker 8: he's got improved there's things that here's there's uncontrollables out
- 40:03Speaker 8: there that he's trying to overcome but sam's a really
- 40:06Speaker 8: good player sam has to improve at making reads like
- 40:11Speaker 8: guys get and i'm not saying call him out but
- 40:14Speaker 8: Don't defend him and say confidence is fragile. Does that
- 40:16Speaker 8: make you feel confident as a quarterback? Confidence is fragile?
- 40:19Speaker 8: I've never played quarterback.
- 40:20Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 40:20Speaker 8: At anything?
- 40:21Speaker 9: Yeah, I feel like if my coach was out here
- 40:22Speaker 9: being like, confidence is fragile, I'd be like, whoa, am
- 40:24Speaker 9: I fragile?
- 40:25Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 40:26Speaker 8: My coach just called me mentally weak. Because I don't
- 40:29Speaker 8: want to take a hit? You can take a hit
- 40:32Speaker 8: as a quarterback.
- 40:32Speaker 4: Before you got to that, the one thing that you
- 40:34Speaker 4: do have to try to always remember, no matter what
- 40:38Speaker 4: position you're playing, because– if let's say we're running a
- 40:41Speaker 4: bunch of outside zone and my tackling tight end had
- 40:43Speaker 4: been bad all day long, it just been bad.
- 40:46Speaker 5: It's not their day.
- 40:47Speaker 4: Like as a running back, you have to tell yourself, okay,
- 40:50Speaker 4: read your keys, go about your business. Like you would
- 40:53Speaker 4: every other carry and don't think about them being bad today.
- 40:57Speaker 4: And it, that is, that's the middle gymnastics. You have
- 40:59Speaker 4: to think about it.
- 41:00Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 41:01Speaker 4: But like you said, at the end of the day,
- 41:02Speaker 4: you have to still stay on your track.
- 41:03Speaker 8: First drive, second drive. Like, like there's rushed reads and
- 41:07Speaker 8: there's things that he can improve on.
- 41:09Speaker 5: Again, He can do it.
- 41:10Speaker 8: 100% he can do it. He just has to get there.
- 41:13Speaker 8: He's got to get better each and every week. He's
- 41:15Speaker 8: got to get better with his footwork.
- 41:16Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 41:17Speaker 4: I mean, and maybe you put that out there saying,
- 41:19Speaker 4: all right, I hope Sam hears that. And I hope
- 41:21Speaker 4: Sam is like, wait a minute. Like, you think that
- 41:24Speaker 4: of me? Like, okay, well, let me go prove you.
- 41:27Speaker 4: And maybe there's some gamesmanship to that.
- 41:30Speaker 5: So, all right, we'll take a break.
- 41:31Speaker 4: We've got more OTB when we jump back here live
- 41:34Speaker 4: from the Raising Cane Studio.
- 41:35Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 41:36Speaker 4: All right, go to centralplumbing.org. Centralplumbing.org in Baton Rouge, in
- 41:41Speaker 4: Lafayette now as well. Now, it's not only in emergencies.
- 41:45Speaker 4: They will be there 24-7, 365, weekend, holiday, game day,
- 41:48Speaker 4: does not matter. They also can upgrade your space at
- 41:51Speaker 4: your home, at your business, and they can do a
- 41:54Speaker 4: lot of different things for you. One of the things
- 41:57Speaker 4: they can do is they can give you a tankless
- 41:58Speaker 4: water heater. Never run out of hot water again. So
- 42:02Speaker 4: if you're getting home late from the ballpark, from dance,
- 42:04Speaker 4: and you've got to shower, you've got to do the dishes,
- 42:06Speaker 4: you've still got to do laundry, you don't have to worry.
- 42:09Speaker 5: You can do it all at the same time. You'll
- 42:10Speaker 5: never run out of hot water. Go to centralplumbing.org.
- 42:13Speaker 8: Central Plumbing, centralplumbing.org. Your plumbing experts. Long time in the
- 42:17Speaker 8: greater Baton Rouge area now. Baton Rouge, Lafayette. They are
- 42:21Speaker 8: a third-generation company. Payne Family has been doing it a
- 42:24Speaker 8: long time. It would be a business that long. In
- 42:28Speaker 8: a service business like they are, you have to be
- 42:30Speaker 8: doing business the right way. You have to be treating
- 42:32Speaker 8: people the right way, and you've got to be experts
- 42:35Speaker 8: at your craft, at your profession, commercial, residential, everything right there, centralplumbing.org.
- 42:39Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 43:05Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn, presented
- 43:09Speaker 1: by Community Steel.
- 43:11Speaker 7: I am back when I heard thunder But.
- 43:15Speaker 2: I'm down to one last breath.
- 43:19Speaker 3: And with it, let me.
- 43:21Speaker 7: Say, let me say.
- 43:28Speaker 4: Welcome back in OTV here live from the Razor Cane studio.
- 43:31Speaker 5: All right, Matthew, if you didn't like what you heard.
- 43:36Speaker 4: And you said what you think Sam Levin needs to do,
- 43:42Speaker 4: this is an honest question.
- 43:45Speaker 5: Can that be fixed on the fly? Yeah. How do
- 43:49Speaker 5: you do it? You better got to work really hard.
- 43:52Speaker 5: Jaden Daniels did it.
- 43:53Speaker 8: And now I'm not going to say that you can
- 43:54Speaker 8: replicate what Jaden Daniels did. man that put Superman's cape
- 43:58Speaker 8: on in the middle of a season. But Jaden Daniels
- 44:00Speaker 8: was not playing very, like, he was having flashes, but
- 44:04Speaker 8: I hated on Jaden Daniels for a little while, just because, like,
- 44:07Speaker 8: he was not playing the quarterback position.
- 44:10Speaker 5: Yes, you did. Yes, I did. Because he wasn't, he
- 44:12Speaker 5: couldn't get past his first read.
- 44:13Speaker 8: Now, they weren't doing him any favors on offense with
- 44:15Speaker 8: a play calling, but there was moments where it was
- 44:18Speaker 8: he didn't get past his first read, and he would
- 44:20Speaker 8: look to use his feet, and he was really good
- 44:22Speaker 8: at it, but he would have really good games and
- 44:23Speaker 8: really good moments, and he'd have really bad games, and
- 44:26Speaker 8: You could tell he just wasn't getting through. I mean,
- 44:29Speaker 8: wasn't there a clip of Brian Kelly that was like,
- 44:32Speaker 8: just throw it or something like that? Yeah, like throw
- 44:34Speaker 8: an interception or just throw it. Because at that time,
- 44:37Speaker 8: he either didn't have any or he had one. He's like,
- 44:40Speaker 8: take chances.
- 44:41Speaker 5: You've got to throw that.
- 44:42Speaker 8: And then all of a sudden, seemingly overnight, he comes out,
- 44:48Speaker 8: and then he was the Jaden Daniels we saw for
- 44:50Speaker 8: the rest of his career. And he put in the
- 44:53Speaker 8: work to do it, understood where, his flaws were was
- 44:57Speaker 8: coached the right way. I know there was a lot
- 44:58Speaker 8: of stories about like the, the virtual reality and getting
- 45:01Speaker 8: in that room that they were doing. And, and there
- 45:03Speaker 8: was a lot of stories and all of a sudden
- 45:05Speaker 8: it flipped. Now, again, it's hard to compare anybody to
- 45:08Speaker 8: that kind of change. Cause I said, that's the, that's
- 45:10Speaker 8: the biggest change I've ever seen that fast in a
- 45:15Speaker 8: player at that level, especially at the quarterback position.
- 45:18Speaker 5: Can it be done?
- 45:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:19Speaker 8: And does he need to make that sound like a
- 45:21Speaker 8: heroic change? No, but he's has to improve footwork and
- 45:23Speaker 8: it's a, I mean, it sounds easy, He's got to
- 45:26Speaker 8: go through those progressions. He's got to just slow down.
- 45:29Speaker 8: He's got to take a breath before the snap. Just
- 45:31Speaker 8: slow your reads down. He's playing too fast.
- 45:36Speaker 5: I do want to come back to that.
- 45:38Speaker 4: Footwork is one thing, but I want to ask you
- 45:40Speaker 4: maybe how you would try to slow your play down
