- 0:00Speaker 1: Wow, what's up everybody?
- 0:11Speaker 2: Welcome to another edition of the NFL Fantasy Football Show.
- 0:14Speaker 2: It's media man named g Marcus Grant, joined by Michael
- 0:17Speaker 2: Florio and Lakwan Jones.
- 0:18Speaker 3: Lakwan, Welcome to Week fourteen. Hey, let's go Week fourteen. Man,
- 0:23Speaker 3: it's a very important game. It's the last regular season
- 0:25Speaker 3: fantasy football, you know, season of regular game that I
- 0:29Speaker 3: think that a lot of folks are going to be
- 0:31Speaker 3: a little disappointed with some florio sits today.
- 0:34Speaker 4: We'll get into the wow wow seem that seems personal.
- 0:38Speaker 5: I know.
- 0:38Speaker 6: I think it's because he's said that the MVP isn't
- 0:41Speaker 6: playing football this week.
- 0:42Speaker 4: That's That's what it comes down to.
- 0:44Speaker 7: You know what, peak behind the curtain.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Flora's been trying to get me to crash out the
- 0:48Speaker 3: last couple of weeks. But we are clean. We are
- 0:50Speaker 3: ten days clean.
- 0:52Speaker 7: I don't think we need a peak behind the curtain.
- 0:54Speaker 7: I think everyone knows. I've been trying to it's pretty.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Much on roll, pretty much on front strad of what's
- 1:00Speaker 2: been going on on this show for the last several weeks.
- 1:03Speaker 7: We'll see.
- 1:04Speaker 2: We got forty SOMEEID minutes to figure out what's going
- 1:06Speaker 2: to have it on this show, But we do have
- 1:09Speaker 2: starts and sits four week fourteen, plus some either or
- 1:12Speaker 2: scenarios that have Fantasy playoff implications. Are bold predictions for
- 1:16Speaker 2: the week and of our weekly visit with cam Wolf
- 1:18Speaker 2: as well. But lets it started with some of those
- 1:21Speaker 2: starts in sits and we'll see which ones Lakwan might
- 1:24Speaker 2: have an issue with. So we'll start at the quarterback position.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Who are your starts and your sits for the week?
- 1:30Speaker 6: Only two names on the start side because the other
- 1:32Speaker 6: guys were in TNF, but Patrick Mahomes and Jordan Love.
- 1:35Speaker 6: I really like this matchup for Love because the Bears
- 1:38Speaker 6: blitz at an above average rate and play man and
- 1:40Speaker 6: Love has the best EPA against both of those. And
- 1:43Speaker 6: in the six Lamar Jackson, We've spent a lot of
- 1:46Speaker 6: time on different shows this week.
- 1:48Speaker 7: I wrote a lot in the article.
- 1:49Speaker 6: It's a little bit option dependent, but he's struggled against
- 1:52Speaker 6: the Steelers in his career. I don't think he's fully healthy.
- 1:55Speaker 6: He's coming off of legitimately his worst game as a pro,
- 1:58Speaker 6: so that all is kind of working against and what's
- 2:00Speaker 6: working for him is he's Lamar Jackson. Justin Herbert broken
- 2:03Speaker 6: hand tough match against the Eagles on a Monday night.
- 2:06Speaker 6: It's just too risky for me. And he's been trending downward.
- 2:09Speaker 6: Daniel Jones has been trending down He's dealing with this
- 2:11Speaker 6: foot issue. The Jackson have been getting a lot of
- 2:14Speaker 6: pressure as of late. Caleb we spoke a lot about
- 2:16Speaker 6: this week. His floor is a league losing floor and
- 2:19Speaker 6: the Packers have been tough against the pass as of late.
- 2:21Speaker 6: And then Jaden if he does play it as his
- 2:23Speaker 6: first game back from a dislocated elbow, there's a theme
- 2:26Speaker 6: on the sit side right, like four of the five
- 2:28Speaker 6: of these guys not healthy.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Yeah, that seems to be kind of an important thing,
- 2:32Speaker 2: especially this late in the season. Come, I want to
- 2:35Speaker 2: ask you about Tho lakwan one. Caleb Williams, who has
- 2:39Speaker 2: been good in the good matchups, not so good in
- 2:41Speaker 2: the bad matchups. This feels like a bad matchup and
- 2:44Speaker 2: it also feels like it's going to be stupid cold
- 2:47Speaker 2: in Green Bay.
- 2:48Speaker 6: It's going to be.
- 2:49Speaker 3: Brick is going to be disrespectfully cold. I would say
- 2:53Speaker 3: this though, like Caleb for me has QB two expectations.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Now while we're looking at those floors at Florio's talking about.
- 2:59Speaker 3: It's been consistent these last couple of weeks, man, And
- 3:01Speaker 3: when it comes to the passing game, they really relied
- 3:04Speaker 3: on this running game really getting them out of trouble.
- 3:06Speaker 3: And like, I think, folks in a very important week
- 3:09Speaker 3: should not get cute this week with Caleb. I know
- 3:11Speaker 3: you guys have other options. I know guys that are
- 3:13Speaker 3: in super flex guys, and guys are in super flex
- 3:16Speaker 3: leagues are probably thinking about him as an option. Just
- 3:19Speaker 3: have your expectations in order. More so as a QB too,
- 3:22Speaker 3: because when we look at this Packers defense as well,
- 3:24Speaker 3: they're one of the best defense to shut down those
- 3:27Speaker 3: scramble quarterbacks. So he's even going to have trouble trying
- 3:29Speaker 3: to get out of the pocket and getting up field
- 3:31Speaker 3: because the Packers defense, they've been bringing it all season long.
- 3:35Speaker 2: You mentioned super flex leagues, and I think this is
- 3:37Speaker 2: an interesting time of year right Florida, because you've got
- 3:40Speaker 2: matchups like this that are necessarily aren't good ones.
- 3:44Speaker 4: I feel like we get.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Into these super flex mentality where we have to start
- 3:47Speaker 2: a quarterback and maybe this is a week where maybe
- 3:50Speaker 2: you've got another wide receiver or running back on your bench.
- 3:53Speaker 4: It could be a better option.
- 3:54Speaker 6: Yeah, it would always depend on what that other option is.
- 3:58Speaker 6: But yeah, like Halob, his floor we talked about is
- 4:01Speaker 6: like nine to eleven points or something like that, nine
- 4:04Speaker 6: to twelve in that range. The ceiling we've seen is
- 4:07Speaker 6: twenty five plus. But the Packers are, like you said,
- 4:10Speaker 6: tough matchup. Uh, they've been much better against the pass
- 4:13Speaker 6: in the run the last month, and then it's gonna
- 4:15Speaker 6: be cold. He's strug Like when your head coach says
- 4:18Speaker 6: we're winning in spite of the passing game, that is
- 4:21Speaker 6: a problem. Uh one for you guys real quick. Like,
- 4:24Speaker 6: I have a lead where my other quarterback besides Caleb
- 4:27Speaker 6: is pretty obviously on by. Would you play like Tyrod
- 4:30Speaker 6: Taylor over Caleb this week?
- 4:32Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 4:32Speaker 4: I might. I might.
- 4:34Speaker 7: I like that.
- 4:35Speaker 3: I like even the where we can iron now. I
- 4:38Speaker 3: like Chris o' lobby this week over Caleb Williams. Like
- 4:40Speaker 3: those eleven points twelve points to the floor, and we
- 4:42Speaker 3: talk about I like Chris o' lobby. I mean the
- 4:44Speaker 3: og of the satchels.
- 4:45Speaker 2: He's free of the satchel now he's just in lineups
- 4:49Speaker 2: and stuff.
- 4:49Speaker 7: No longer there he's free. So does that mean Caleb's
- 4:53Speaker 7: in the satchel.
- 4:55Speaker 3: I mean Caleb, he's peaking in, he's seeing there's room
- 4:58Speaker 3: in there. But I think he's good. I think you
- 5:00Speaker 3: there be two expectations is what I have on this game.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Gay Hopefully he can go out there and surprise them.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Folks, I gotta ask you because you're wearing You're wearing
- 5:06Speaker 2: you're that kid's shirt, right, which is.
- 5:07Speaker 7: In honor of Jade and Daniels.
- 5:10Speaker 2: If he does start, we're not sure what his situation
- 5:13Speaker 2: is as we're doing this show.
- 5:14Speaker 4: Would you throw him in a lineup against the Vikings?
- 5:18Speaker 3: So I'm wearing the shirt because I do want to
- 5:20Speaker 3: see the return of Jaden Daniels. But the thing is
- 5:22Speaker 3: I'm rooting for her more so in real life football
- 5:25Speaker 3: rather than where my fantasy expectations are kind of low,
- 5:28Speaker 3: like I we talked about this on yesterday show, Like
- 5:31Speaker 3: my expectations are around that sixteen fancy points or less.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Like I'm not looking for QB one Jayden Dames this week,
- 5:37Speaker 3: and I don't think I can risk that, especially if
- 5:40Speaker 3: I'm one of those teams that are fighting to get
- 5:41Speaker 3: into the playoffs or this game. If I lose it,
- 5:44Speaker 3: then I'm out of the playoffs, Like, this is a
- 5:46Speaker 3: very important week that I don't think we try to
- 5:48Speaker 3: get cute with quarterbacks that are dealing with injuries. That's
- 5:50Speaker 3: why Lamar is sitting, That's why Justin Herbert is sitting.
- 5:53Speaker 6: Good job, Florio, I will say I agree with because,
- 5:56Speaker 6: like you guys know, I love Jayden and I'm rooting
- 5:59Speaker 6: for him, but I think he's gonna run a lot
- 6:01Speaker 6: less because if you're the commanders, why are you going
- 6:03Speaker 6: to ask him to run? Coming off of this he
- 6:06Speaker 6: has yet to throw two hundred and forty yards in
- 6:07Speaker 6: a game this year. Like the running is what makes
- 6:09Speaker 6: him so special for fantasy.
- 6:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:12Speaker 2: So, and again, let this be a reminder, it's a
- 6:14Speaker 2: super flex league. It's not a two quarterback league. You
- 6:16Speaker 2: can put another player in there if you think that
- 6:19Speaker 2: player has a better outcome, outlook than the quarterback that
- 6:22Speaker 2: you're trying to start. Let's move over to running backs,
- 6:25Speaker 2: cause it's an interesting week for running backs, both on
- 6:28Speaker 2: the good and bad side.
- 6:29Speaker 4: So who are you starting? Who are you sitting?
- 6:31Speaker 6: Look, I'm wearing a Bills Queen's hoodie right now, but
- 6:33Speaker 6: I'm not stupid like you play running backs against the
- 6:36Speaker 6: bills like that's one hundred percent of thing Chase Brown
- 6:39Speaker 6: must play. I think what Shawn Jenkins is a must
- 6:41Speaker 6: play this week. Game script should be on his side.
- 6:43Speaker 6: He's the safest bet, or one of the safest bets
- 6:46Speaker 6: of RB twos, the least for volume, and this wildcat
- 6:49Speaker 6: usage hear the goal line really helps elevate him.
- 6:53Speaker 7: RJ.
- 6:53Speaker 6: Harvey, I think is also a really strong play this
- 6:56Speaker 6: week in a game where game script should be on
- 6:58Speaker 6: his side.
- 6:59Speaker 7: And then with them a nung guy. Originally I was like,
- 7:01Speaker 7: are do these guys do? I make them sits?
- 7:04Speaker 6: But the Packers have really struggled against the run since
- 7:07Speaker 6: week nine, so I think that keeps those guys in play,
- 7:10Speaker 6: and for Swift if they're trailing, he could get targets
- 7:14Speaker 6: since look, Woody Marx has taken over that backfield, but
- 7:16Speaker 6: it has not translated to success for fantasy. They're not
- 7:19Speaker 6: throwing him a bunch of passes and the Chiefs are
- 7:22Speaker 6: a tough run defense. But I think you said the
- 7:24Speaker 6: Chiefs running backs as well. With Pacheco back, he's not
- 7:27Speaker 6: seeing enough work to start, but he is eating into
- 7:30Speaker 6: Cream Hunt's workload a little bit.
- 7:32Speaker 7: We don't know if drey Benson is coming back this
- 7:33Speaker 7: week or ever.
- 7:34Speaker 6: But I don't care which Cardinals running back it is.
- 7:37Speaker 6: It's the Rams defense. Shout out to you guys, LQ.
- 7:40Speaker 6: And then same thing with Tony Poller, like he doesn't
- 7:42Speaker 6: see in a volume now with Spears there, but even
- 7:45Speaker 6: so they're playing the Browns like, just get away.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Free tay Jay Spears. I mean maybe not this week,
- 7:49Speaker 2: but just in general, free tai Ja Spears, lakwan, you
- 7:52Speaker 2: know over in this corner of the stage, it's fight
- 7:55Speaker 2: on forever. And I love what he marks, but there's
- 7:58Speaker 2: zero chance. There's zero chance starting he was waiting, you said,
- 8:02Speaker 2: like lost, so you can't do that. Now there's no
- 8:06Speaker 2: chance of starting winning marks this week? Though?
- 8:08Speaker 3: Is there no Like is there something wrong with his hands?
- 8:12Speaker 3: Like why is he not catching the ball?
- 8:13Speaker 2: They're not throwing him the ball? Just three targets in
- 8:16Speaker 2: his last three games, Like that's the problem. Like when
- 8:19Speaker 2: we look at his college career, this is a guy
- 8:21Speaker 2: that was getting plenty of targets, fifty three receptions per
- 8:24Speaker 2: season at Mississippi State the three years he was there,
- 8:27Speaker 2: and the last year he was at USC he had
- 8:28Speaker 2: forty seven catches for over fourteen hundred yards, Like I'm
- 8:31Speaker 2: looking at this like there's something wrong. Why are we
- 8:34Speaker 2: not utilizing like that? And when we look at the
- 8:36Speaker 2: last four games and efficiency, it's getting less than three
- 8:39Speaker 2: and a half yards per carry. But then when we
- 8:41Speaker 2: look over at Nick Chubb with twenty three carries, this
- 8:43Speaker 2: guy's over five yards per carry. And I'm telling you now,
- 8:46Speaker 2: I don't think that what he Mark's usage is really
- 8:49Speaker 2: stable right now, like heading into the Fantasy playoffs, I
- 8:52Speaker 2: can't trust him at all because look at the last
- 8:54Speaker 2: couple of weeks where the matchups he's had I've talked
- 8:57Speaker 2: about when he went against Baltimore, that was the matchup
- 9:00Speaker 2: for him to catch a bunch of passes we didn't
- 9:01Speaker 2: get that didn't do much against the Bill, So it's like,
- 9:04Speaker 2: what do we do with what he march moving forward?
- 9:06Speaker 2: So he's a sit for rest of the season. For me,
- 9:08Speaker 2: it just feels some of it is on Marks, right,
- 9:12Speaker 2: he hasn't been super efficient. He's averaging less than three
- 9:14Speaker 2: and a half yards per carry over the last few weeks.
- 9:17Speaker 2: But some of it is just the usage right that
- 9:19Speaker 2: Nick Chubb's still getting about a quarter of the snaps,
- 9:22Speaker 2: about a quarter of the carries. It just feels like
- 9:24Speaker 2: a bad situation in a Florio mentioned is just not
- 9:26Speaker 2: a good matchup for running backs going against the Kansas
- 9:30Speaker 2: City Chiefs and this one, Bloy you did mention DeAndre
- 9:33Speaker 2: Swift and kyleman Ungai as starts this week. No worry
- 9:37Speaker 2: about the Packers run defense.
- 9:39Speaker 6: So I originally I really was, But then when I
- 9:43Speaker 6: started digging into the numbers a little bit, what I
- 9:46Speaker 6: do when I'm doing this this late in the year
- 9:49Speaker 6: is I look at the season totals, but then I
- 9:51Speaker 6: also look at the last five weeks, so that every
- 9:53Speaker 6: team in that span has at least four games. I
- 9:56Speaker 6: think that's a little bit of a sample size to
- 9:58Speaker 6: be like, this is how they've been trending recently and
- 10:00Speaker 6: in that span, fifth most rushing yards, five touchdowns in
- 10:05Speaker 6: that five week span, and they're allowing the fifth most
- 10:07Speaker 6: yards before contact. And I'm expecting the Bears to try
- 10:11Speaker 6: to run the ball as much as they can in
- 10:13Speaker 6: these cold weather games. So I think manung Guy is
- 10:16Speaker 6: more of a flex option. But because if the Bears
- 10:19Speaker 6: are trailing, we know Swift will get targets as well.
- 10:21Speaker 6: I do think that keeps him in as an RB two.
- 10:23Speaker 6: All right, so look and they have run the ball
- 10:25Speaker 6: really well. We said this before, since their bye week,
- 10:27Speaker 6: they've run the ball really well.
- 10:28Speaker 7: Do we have a name?
- 10:29Speaker 3: Do we have a name yet?
- 10:30Speaker 2: Like? No, because we you know, like it can't be
- 10:33Speaker 2: Sonic and Knuckles. That's already taken. I mean like Smashing
- 10:36Speaker 2: da Smash and Dash was the Titans with you know,
- 10:39Speaker 2: I can't do that.
- 10:40Speaker 7: How about how about this?
- 10:41Speaker 3: How about the swift punishment because we look at Manungay
- 10:45Speaker 3: as the hammer, swift is so swift agile due to
- 10:48Speaker 3: tackles swift punishment.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Yes, no, I think it's I think we're I think
- 10:51Speaker 2: I think we can refine it. But I think we're
- 10:53Speaker 2: onto something. I think I think it's a good start, right.
- 10:55Speaker 2: I think we can put our heads together and it
- 10:57Speaker 2: kind of I look at them as a wrestling team.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Let's change it Uplet's get away from Sonic and Knuckles.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Let's make them a tag team. Let's talk some WWE man.
- 11:04Speaker 4: I think we're on the something.
- 11:05Speaker 6: Honestly, there's a there's a big storyline there with like
- 11:08Speaker 6: Ben Johnson going heel and then like creating his own
- 11:10Speaker 6: faction to come back.
- 11:12Speaker 3: Like yeah, I like, oh, the visionary.
- 11:15Speaker 7: Wow, look where we're going with that.
- 11:18Speaker 2: Okay, Taking a look at the Sunday night game between
- 11:22Speaker 2: the Texans and the Chiefs, and the first to score
- 11:26Speaker 2: odds long to Rashi Rice at least the best odds due,
- 11:29Speaker 2: followed by Kareem Hunt. Then we got Woody Marks, Nico Collins,
- 11:33Speaker 2: and then Travis Kelce rounding out the top five.
- 11:36Speaker 5: Here.
- 11:37Speaker 4: As you look at this list, Florio.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Anybody you'd like to choose from this list or would
- 11:41Speaker 2: you like to maybe go off menu?
- 11:43Speaker 6: No, I'm gonna stay off very much so on menu,
- 11:45Speaker 6: I'm gonna go with the Lois odds there and give
- 11:48Speaker 6: me Rashi Rice. Because he could do it through the air,
- 11:50Speaker 6: he do through the ground. They generate touches for him,
- 11:53Speaker 6: especially in the red zone. He is a top three
- 11:57Speaker 6: fantasy water receiver. I've seen people make in the case
- 11:59Speaker 6: of he is the wide receiver one. Not sure if
- 12:02Speaker 6: I'm there yet, but he's top three for sure.
- 12:03Speaker 2: I think in terms of the way the Chiefs use him,
- 12:05Speaker 2: I think that argument stands. I mean, we're just looking
- 12:07Speaker 2: at straight up talent and ability.
- 12:09Speaker 6: Yeah, I still I mean, jay Is Sen is still
- 12:11Speaker 6: doing his things.
- 12:12Speaker 4: He's still doing his thing still, Puka.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Anybody you had to say Pooka because we don't need
- 12:16Speaker 2: to better put him in there. I said, we don't
- 12:17Speaker 2: need a better was there was there somebody there that
- 12:19Speaker 2: you like? Kind of that group, We all just said
- 12:21Speaker 2: what he marks is a set, So I guess we're
- 12:23Speaker 2: not going what he marks there.
- 12:24Speaker 4: Lookuan, I like.
- 12:25Speaker 3: Nico Collins in there. I like Nico Collins being an
- 12:28Speaker 3: option to find a touchdown and put us some big points.
- 12:30Speaker 3: I think this is the secondary that you can challenge.
- 12:32Speaker 3: We know you can't run the ball in the Chiefs,
- 12:34Speaker 3: but you can definitely go out there and challenge that secondary.
- 12:36Speaker 3: So we're hoping for a Nico Collins, you know, strong game,
- 12:39Speaker 3: and maybe c J. Stroud bounces back as well.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Maybe I just look a little more into that game. Obviously,
- 12:44Speaker 2: Patrick Mahomes having a rebound fantasy season after the last
- 12:48Speaker 2: couple of years sort of being underwhelming. We know how
- 12:51Speaker 2: good that Houston defense is, though, LQ, can you trust
- 12:54Speaker 2: Mahomes in fantasy this week?
- 12:57Speaker 3: I think you can because we got to look at
- 12:59Speaker 3: Mahomes from the real life lens. Now, this is a
- 13:01Speaker 3: quarterback that is probably the best quarterback that the Texans
- 13:04Speaker 3: have faced in the last couple of weeks, and that
- 13:06Speaker 3: does include Josh Allen Florio. His turnovers have been nasty,
- 13:10Speaker 3: making the Texans look good. But I would say this,
- 13:12Speaker 3: I think Mahomes is a little bit more savvy in
- 13:14Speaker 3: the pocket than Josh Allen. Josh Allen likes to play
- 13:16Speaker 3: the hero. That's why he got sack eight times. I
- 13:19Speaker 3: think Mahomes is going to use his legs and lie
- 13:20Speaker 3: extending plays getting out of the pocket. So we're going
- 13:23Speaker 3: to get that nice little upward ceiling with the foot
- 13:26Speaker 3: rushing upside with Mahomes as well, and then we know
- 13:28Speaker 3: it's this guy makes magic Man against the difficult, difficult defenses.
- 13:32Speaker 3: This is a tenth seed team right now trying to
- 13:35Speaker 3: fright their way into the playoffs. So yeah, load up Mahomes.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Which is a wild thing to say, right because every
- 13:40Speaker 2: year that Patrick Mahomes has been a starter, they've at
- 13:43Speaker 2: least gone to the AFC Championship Game. So the fact
- 13:46Speaker 2: that they are fighting for their playoff lives sort of
- 13:48Speaker 2: uncharted territory. I mean, look, I know if there's a
- 13:50Speaker 2: large section there's a large section of America that's not
- 13:53Speaker 2: prying any tiers for the Kansas City Chiefs just the weird.
- 13:56Speaker 4: Spot to be in Slayer.
- 13:58Speaker 2: I look at this game and I think either there's
- 13:59Speaker 2: going be like few points scored or all of the
- 14:02Speaker 2: points scored.
- 14:03Speaker 4: Like which way are you leaning on that?
- 14:05Speaker 6: I actually kind of think it's gonna be somewhere in
- 14:07Speaker 6: between there. But if I had to pick, I think
- 14:09Speaker 6: it's gonna be lower. I do think Mahomes is gonna
- 14:12Speaker 6: use his legs a lot. He leads all quarterbacks and
- 14:14Speaker 6: explosive runs this year, so that that's kind of and
- 14:17Speaker 6: the Texans weakness has been running quarterbacks, so that's kind
- 14:20Speaker 6: of why I do like him there. But yeah, outside
- 14:23Speaker 6: of Nico Collins, Rice and Mahomes, I don't think there's
- 14:27Speaker 6: another must start in this game. You probably have to
- 14:29Speaker 6: start Kelsey because of tight end, but like he's not
- 14:32Speaker 6: a must start.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess the good news for the Chiefs is
- 14:35Speaker 2: that it is Patrick Mahomes is no longer leading the
- 14:38Speaker 2: team in rushing.
- 14:39Speaker 4: It's been that way for a few weeks now. It's
- 14:41Speaker 4: been a way for a few weeks now. But you know,
- 14:43Speaker 4: I think if you're the chief you feel slightly better.
- 14:45Speaker 2: You'd feel better though, if you know your leading rusher
- 14:48Speaker 2: had more than three hundred and fifty three yards heading
- 14:51Speaker 2: into week fourteen. When we come back, we will dive
- 14:53Speaker 2: into the Monday Night football game we've played right.
- 14:56Speaker 7: Next door so Fi Stadium.
- 14:58Speaker 2: Can we trust Justin Herbert the other He's got a
- 15:00Speaker 2: bionic left hand. We'll talk about that and more on
- 15:02Speaker 2: the NFL Fantasy Football show.
- 15:08Speaker 3: Monday Night Football.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Coming up this week. It is the Eagles and the Chargers.
- 15:14Speaker 2: He played right over there, right over there at the
- 15:18Speaker 2: Sofi Stadium's gonna say right on the other side of
- 15:20Speaker 2: the wall, but that's not completely accurate because that would
- 15:22Speaker 2: be annoying for everybody involved.
- 15:24Speaker 3: I thought there was a forty winers joke in there.
- 15:26Speaker 3: I thought you were trying it. But it's okay, we're
- 15:28Speaker 3: ten days clean.
- 15:29Speaker 2: I thought, God, why would I even bring up the
- 15:32Speaker 2: forty nine ers they're gonna buy this week?
- 15:34Speaker 3: I thought you were gonna misname Sofi Stadium. It's fine,
- 15:37Speaker 3: I thought you were gonna.
- 15:38Speaker 2: I mean, somebody is really sensitive about their stadium being
- 15:41Speaker 2: named after a financial services company. That sounds a little
- 15:43Speaker 2: bit like a couch.
- 15:44Speaker 6: Who wait, wait, wait, question for you guys. Who stars
- 15:47Speaker 6: in the so Far commercials. Oh, who does? It's not
- 15:51Speaker 6: Matthew Staff, It's the.
- 15:54Speaker 7: Reigning defending MVP.
- 15:57Speaker 3: He's too busy. Come on, he's in the ball in
- 16:00Speaker 3: time chamber getting his back ready. Anyway, Monday eight to
- 16:03Speaker 3: fifteen pm Eastern.
- 16:04Speaker 7: You can see it on.
- 16:05Speaker 4: ESPN, ABC and ABC.
- 16:07Speaker 7: The port is.
- 16:09Speaker 2: It has not been a great year for Saquon Barkley
- 16:12Speaker 2: and I think we all kind of talked about this
- 16:13Speaker 2: before the season, right, We expected to come down after
- 16:15Speaker 2: the huge year last year. But he has not scored
- 16:18Speaker 2: a touchdown Florio since Week eight? Wild Wild Wow. Do
- 16:22Speaker 2: we think he finds the m zone this week against
- 16:24Speaker 2: the Chargers?
- 16:25Speaker 7: I do.
- 16:25Speaker 6: I'm not sure if it's gonna be a goal on
- 16:27Speaker 6: one because a friend of the show, Ian Hard, It's
- 16:29Speaker 6: put out some statsus today. Saquon has been bad near
- 16:33Speaker 6: the goal line this year, like negative rushing yards bad.
- 16:37Speaker 6: But the Chargers have allowed explosive runs at one of
- 16:41Speaker 6: the highest rate in the NFL. They for as good
- 16:44Speaker 6: as their defense is against the pass, they are a
- 16:48Speaker 6: unit that you can run on for sure. So I
- 16:50Speaker 6: think Saquon breaks one in this game. And if you
- 16:53Speaker 6: have Saquon, I think this is just a start they
- 16:56Speaker 6: get the Raiders, the Commanders, the Bills in the Fantasy playoffs.
- 17:00Speaker 6: I know he has not lived up to expectations. It
- 17:01Speaker 6: has been disappointing all of that. The next four weeks
- 17:04Speaker 6: he has a chance to just completely erase that and
- 17:06Speaker 6: lead a lot of you to championships. And that schedule
- 17:09Speaker 6: could not be any better.
- 17:10Speaker 2: But so wild because last year we were all upset
- 17:12Speaker 2: like they're doing the toush pushing or taking touchdowns away
- 17:14Speaker 2: from Saquon.
- 17:15Speaker 4: Maybe they knew maybe much.
- 17:18Speaker 2: This year they're not even doing it as they're not
- 17:20Speaker 2: tousch pushing as much this year when they have lately,
- 17:22Speaker 2: it's not working out quite as well.
- 17:23Speaker 4: As it used to.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Like, all right, l Q, what do you expect from
- 17:27Speaker 2: Saquon Barkley against the Chargers. Do you think Saquon finds
- 17:31Speaker 2: the painted area this week?
- 17:34Speaker 3: No, he's been terrible in short artist situation. I don't
- 17:37Speaker 3: see it happening. I do think honestly, Like if he
- 17:39Speaker 3: sneaks in, it will probably be like a fake tush push.
- 17:43Speaker 3: I'm gonna call it now, it'd be a fake Toush
- 17:45Speaker 3: push and then Saquon rolls out of the side because
- 17:47Speaker 3: of the fumbles that Jalen Hurst has had in these
- 17:49Speaker 3: touch pushes. They're going to try to switch it up.
- 17:52Speaker 2: See, I don't think I think if he scores, I
- 17:53Speaker 2: don't think it's a short yardage touchdown. I think it's like,
- 17:56Speaker 2: you know, a broken tackle here there, Maybe I missed
- 17:58Speaker 2: assignment and he runs well.
- 18:00Speaker 3: The Chargers have a high mistackle rate, so I can
- 18:03Speaker 3: see that. I could see that he can.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Break one from like thirty yards out or something like that.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Like I could see that happening for Saquon this week.
- 18:10Speaker 4: So we'll see.
- 18:11Speaker 2: On the other side, we saw the starts and sins
- 18:13Speaker 2: that Florida was sort of out on Justin Herbert. He
- 18:16Speaker 2: did have successful surgery. Again, I'm waiting for the first
- 18:18Speaker 2: time eight teamer players like, yeah, no, they screwed that
- 18:21Speaker 2: up and now I only have three fingers. Would you
- 18:24Speaker 2: Lakwan risk starting Justin Herbert against the Eagles on Monday Night?
- 18:30Speaker 3: No, just look at his last two games. He had
- 18:32Speaker 3: eighty one passing yards before the buy one hundred and
- 18:34Speaker 3: fifty one after the Buyo injury. Now Monday night football,
- 18:37Speaker 3: Absolutely not. I think you look at other options. I
- 18:40Speaker 3: honestly think the last couple of weeks you are already
- 18:42Speaker 3: kind of planning ahead because Justin Herbert has had some
- 18:45Speaker 3: scary floors, Like you know the floors that I'm talking about, Marcus.
- 18:48Speaker 3: We're talking about cockroaches, crack tiles, and pizza from three
- 18:51Speaker 3: months ago over there in the corner on the floor
- 18:53Speaker 3: type Justin Herbert. These last couple of weeks, it's not
- 18:56Speaker 3: looking good moving forward into the fantasy playoffs. So again,
- 18:59Speaker 3: there's options out there, like a Bryce Shong. There's options
- 19:01Speaker 3: out there like a William Trevor mid Lawrence. You can
- 19:04Speaker 3: have different quarterbacks to step in for Justin Herbert right now,
- 19:07Speaker 3: who is banged up. Why even try to get cute
- 19:09Speaker 3: in one of the most important weeks of fantasy.
- 19:12Speaker 2: William Trevor mid lawns Like you went deep on that one.
- 19:15Speaker 2: You've used all of the names.
- 19:17Speaker 4: That's his name. It's his name, man, pretty sure his
- 19:20Speaker 4: mama don't call him mid. That's just you.
- 19:23Speaker 6: Gotta get pro football reference to put for me to
- 19:27Speaker 6: put Mid up there, that would be great.
- 19:29Speaker 2: So Donna get back into these starts and sins, which,
- 19:32Speaker 2: of course, as I always mentioned, you can find on
- 19:35Speaker 2: the interwebsite NFL dot com slash starts. It listen to
- 19:37Speaker 2: some wide receivers starts and sets, and uh, I appreciate
- 19:41Speaker 2: you going against the grain of what the general fantasy
- 19:44Speaker 2: community is.
- 19:45Speaker 4: Talking about with your starts at wide receiver.
- 19:47Speaker 6: Yes, it was something I thought along and hard about
- 19:50Speaker 6: this week. But I know a lot of people are
- 19:51Speaker 6: getting off the Justin Jefferson train, and I understand why.
- 19:54Speaker 7: But I think a squeaky Wheel game is coming.
- 19:57Speaker 6: I think they're going to look to get him involved
- 19:59Speaker 6: early and off and it is a fantastic matchup against
- 20:02Speaker 6: the Commanders. I think this is a game where they're
- 20:04Speaker 6: gonna thrown the ball ten fifteen times something like that.
- 20:07Speaker 6: Christian Watson, to me, is a very strong start this week.
- 20:11Speaker 6: He's been their top go to guy since the Tucker
- 20:13Speaker 6: Craft injury. He can win downfield, he could win out wide,
- 20:16Speaker 6: and the Bears struggle against each of those and.
- 20:18Speaker 7: Then a mecha Abuka.
- 20:20Speaker 6: I think a lot of the struggles are on Baker,
- 20:21Speaker 6: not on him. But the Saints have allowed seventy three
- 20:25Speaker 6: percent of the out wide passes in the last month
- 20:28Speaker 6: to be completed. If they're allowing a high completion percentage,
- 20:31Speaker 6: that is a good thing for a mecha Buka because
- 20:33Speaker 6: he's getting open. They've just been struggling to connect on it.
- 20:36Speaker 6: And then I think the six dk metcalf he's averaging
- 20:39Speaker 6: six targets per game since week eight. There's one deep
- 20:43Speaker 6: catch in that period, like one touchdown. It's just all
- 20:46Speaker 6: gone bad for DK Roma Dunesday's falloff needs to be
- 20:49Speaker 6: talked about more because it has been pretty dramatic. DJ Moore,
- 20:54Speaker 6: I think is just a straight sit at this point.
- 20:56Speaker 6: Brian Thomas Junior returned last week. If you didn't watch
- 20:59Speaker 6: that game, you probably wouldn't have known that he really
- 21:01Speaker 6: didn't do a whole lot. And then Xavier Worthy like
- 21:05Speaker 6: he's read a floor play and now he's getting the
- 21:07Speaker 6: toughest matchup or one of the toughest matchups to throw
- 21:10Speaker 6: the deep ball against.
- 21:11Speaker 2: One quick note to Robodunes did not practice on Thursday,
- 21:15Speaker 2: So that's something to just kind of pay attention to
- 21:17Speaker 2: as we get a little bit closer to Sunday.
- 21:20Speaker 4: All right, mkwan justin Jefferson ready, fight.
- 21:26Speaker 7: Listen.
- 21:27Speaker 3: I cannot trust this man, and I understand on paper
- 21:30Speaker 3: this matchup looks incredible, right. A squeaky wheel game, a
- 21:34Speaker 3: force fed game, situational targets, whatever you want to call it, right.
- 21:38Speaker 3: I just don't trust the quarterback play right now to
- 21:40Speaker 3: even elevate Justin Jefferson to be in flex conversations, Like
- 21:44Speaker 3: we went into it on yesterday's episode right where we
- 21:47Speaker 3: were talking about Devon Valley having more Fantasy points than
- 21:51Speaker 3: Justin Jefferson in the last four games. They were looking
- 21:53Speaker 3: at guys like Ty Johnson, a third string running back
- 21:57Speaker 3: for the Buffalo Bills, having more Fantasy points than Justin Jefferson.
- 22:01Speaker 3: There's nothing that is getting anywhere near of Justin Jefferson
- 22:05Speaker 3: in my flex option as he started this week, even
- 22:08Speaker 3: with the matchup. I just cannot trust it, cannot do
- 22:11Speaker 3: it this week. I'm going with other options.
- 22:13Speaker 2: What I really am kind of rooting for in this
- 22:16Speaker 2: one is for Justin Jefferson to score like thirteen points,
- 22:21Speaker 2: right where, like then nobody's right.
- 22:25Speaker 4: All people are like you started, like, all people are
- 22:28Speaker 4: like sitting.
- 22:29Speaker 2: I was like, it's better than thoughts, Like if he
- 22:30Speaker 2: scores like thirteen fourteen points and like he just lands
- 22:33Speaker 2: kind of in the middle of like good and bad,
- 22:35Speaker 2: then like then what do we do.
- 22:37Speaker 3: The fantasy streets win he gets, he gets the Cowboys
- 22:41Speaker 3: next week, he's going to be a start for me again.
- 22:44Speaker 4: Hmm, Like he just is all right, I get that.
- 22:48Speaker 7: Real quick. Look.
- 22:49Speaker 2: I want to ask you about Brian Thomas Junior because
- 22:53Speaker 2: he was the guy that I drafted really high this year.
- 22:56Speaker 2: He was a late first early second round pick. I
- 22:59Speaker 2: had my concern and so because of his draft price,
- 23:01Speaker 2: I didn't draft him in many, if any spots at all.
- 23:06Speaker 7: Was last year a fluke or have things?
- 23:08Speaker 2: Just? Is it Liam Cohen's offense? He doesn't fit in
- 23:11Speaker 2: like what happened to be.
- 23:12Speaker 3: TJ William, Trevor mid Lawrence. I mean when he saw
- 23:16Speaker 3: his relevance with Mac Jones. Yeah, but he wasn't this
- 23:19Speaker 3: terrible with Trevor Lawrence last year. He was this bag
- 23:22Speaker 3: with Trevor Lawrence last year. I feel like the hospital
- 23:25Speaker 3: balls will you know, be a little bit of a
- 23:27Speaker 3: motivation of why the disconnect And I think Brian Thomas
- 23:31Speaker 3: Junior next year, we just need to look at the
- 23:33Speaker 3: dynamic of how that back end of this season finishes
- 23:36Speaker 3: out Right, Jacoby Myers, is he the staple as the
- 23:39Speaker 3: wide receiver one right? Parker Washington is talented when given opportunities,
- 23:43Speaker 3: how much involved you're gonna have him in the offense.
- 23:45Speaker 3: And then there's Brian Thomas Junior. Right we have not
- 23:48Speaker 3: seen good production from him all season long, So I
- 23:51Speaker 3: don't even think he's relevant to be even compared as
- 23:54Speaker 3: a flex option or wide receiver two at that point,
- 23:56Speaker 3: because at the end of the day, we're dealing with
- 23:58Speaker 3: a guy that is not great in this system, not
- 24:01Speaker 3: great in this offense, not great with his quarterback right now.
- 24:04Speaker 3: So there's nothing that you know, I feel safe with
- 24:07Speaker 3: Brian Thomas Junior and starting linements for.
- 24:09Speaker 2: The rest of the season. Yeah, it's gonna be interesting
- 24:12Speaker 2: next year where he gets drafted. He's gonna fall significantly
- 24:16Speaker 2: from where he was this year. But also you're gonna
- 24:19Speaker 2: have have his Hunter back at some point.
- 24:22Speaker 3: Not to mention Brenton Strange, Brenton Strange, these last two
- 24:26Speaker 3: weeks come on like he's he has a role and
- 24:29Speaker 3: it's important, and I feel like him having that role
- 24:32Speaker 3: kind of puts another wedge in Brian Thomas Junior's upside.
- 24:35Speaker 3: Like we've seen William really, I would say, thrive off
- 24:40Speaker 3: of the tight end position and a wide receiver operating
- 24:43Speaker 3: out of that slot. Right now, Brian Thomas Jr. He's
- 24:47Speaker 3: he's just kind of the outside guy looking.
- 24:48Speaker 2: In can't get over William just he's just calling him
- 24:52Speaker 2: William casually, like like you guys with a third grade
- 24:57Speaker 2: together or something like that. Anyway, Britain Strange, which is
- 25:01Speaker 2: a perfect way to segue to the tight end starts
- 25:02Speaker 2: and sits and I see spoiler alert.
- 25:06Speaker 4: You've got Britain Strangers to start this week.
- 25:08Speaker 6: Yeah, Breton Strange has been really like, look, he's not
- 25:11Speaker 6: gonna give you like twenty plus points, but he's been
- 25:13Speaker 6: sitting around thirteen since he's returned, and he scored nine
- 25:17Speaker 6: point nine or more in all but two games that
- 25:18Speaker 6: he's played this season. Kyle Pitts I said it on
- 25:21Speaker 6: yesterday's show, but if Drake London sits, I think Kyle
- 25:24Speaker 6: Pitts is a top five tight end play this week
- 25:26Speaker 6: because he's been the number one target from Kirk Cousins
- 25:28Speaker 6: and the Seahawks have struggled mightily all year and as
- 25:31Speaker 6: of late against tight ends, and they'll probably be in
- 25:34Speaker 6: ketchup mode. Dalton Kincaid Dalton first eight, as I saw
- 25:38Speaker 6: him called on Twitter, dealing with a lot of injuries.
- 25:41Speaker 6: But if he plays, he's a must start against the Bengals.
- 25:44Speaker 6: If he doesn't play, Dawson Knox becomes a streaming option
- 25:47Speaker 6: because the Bengals, you pick a category, targets, catch his yards, touchdowns,
- 25:50Speaker 6: fantasy points. They've allowed the most of the tight ends and
- 25:52Speaker 6: then Darren Waller just miss a touchdown last week. The
- 25:56Speaker 6: Jets have loud the third most touchdowns that got lit
- 25:58Speaker 6: up by Kyle Pitts last week, and then the six
- 26:00Speaker 6: Dallas Gott It is just a name right now, like
- 26:02Speaker 6: he's not getting a lot of volume. He hasn't scored
- 26:04Speaker 6: it to if he doesn't get to touchdown, the floor
- 26:06Speaker 6: is less than five points. Aronde Gatson, I'm not sure
- 26:10Speaker 6: he's healthy. Since he left Week ten, he has not
- 26:12Speaker 6: scored five fantasy points in a game, and last week
- 26:15Speaker 6: his snaps decreased to the lowest they've been in months,
- 26:18Speaker 6: which is concerning to me. Colson Lovelin, the Packers have
- 26:22Speaker 6: been better against tight ends as of late, and more
- 26:24Speaker 6: than anything, it's just the Bears have so many options.
- 26:27Speaker 6: Like last week, Cole Kamet had more production than Colson
- 26:31Speaker 6: Lovelin and then David and Joku. He is absolutely a
- 26:34Speaker 6: forgotten man. He has two targets are fewer in each
- 26:37Speaker 6: of the last three games.
- 26:38Speaker 4: Yeah, it's been rough for David and Joke.
- 26:40Speaker 2: I mean, look, I get it, the Browns passing game
- 26:42Speaker 2: is not really exciting, but David and Joku has just
- 26:44Speaker 2: fanished all together. You mentioned the Bengals too, and how
- 26:48Speaker 2: bad they are against tight ends. Just looking it up.
- 26:52Speaker 2: No defense has given up more yards after the catch
- 26:56Speaker 2: to the tight end position than the Bengals.
- 26:58Speaker 6: So another category they have the most.
- 27:00Speaker 3: It's everything like Tray McBride championship. Trade McBride championships sound
- 27:06Speaker 3: so sweet and I'm hoping I get there with them.
- 27:08Speaker 4: Just let him, just let him run.
- 27:10Speaker 2: So Darren Waller, and I'll say this because you guys
- 27:14Speaker 2: actually gave Darren Waller more credit than I did earlier
- 27:16Speaker 2: on I was just like, boh, but you know he
- 27:18Speaker 2: came in, he scored some touchdowns. You guys were on
- 27:21Speaker 2: that first Lakwan. At this point, I know he's not
- 27:25Speaker 2: getting a ton of volume, but he's getting the important
- 27:28Speaker 2: targets and that's I think what we care about the most.
- 27:31Speaker 3: Exactly three catches, forty seven yards, Like bro, He's had
- 27:35Speaker 3: an end zone target in every single game that he
- 27:37Speaker 3: has played this season, and right, like, I know, we're
- 27:39Speaker 3: looking at Darren Waller of the old the guy that
- 27:41Speaker 3: has had injury history, but he's been effective when utilized.
- 27:45Speaker 3: We talk about that two of touchdown that he missed
- 27:48Speaker 3: in the end zone. It was just because it was
- 27:50Speaker 3: overthrown and he stepped out of balance. If him getting
- 27:52Speaker 3: these looks every single game, he's in versus the Jets,
- 27:55Speaker 3: who are tied third in the most red zone touchdowns
- 27:58Speaker 3: to the tight end position. This is where he is
- 28:00Speaker 3: most lethal and what's most important. In this B role.
- 28:03Speaker 3: We're seeing him being utilized vertically downfield, so you're getting
- 28:06Speaker 3: the touchdown upside and the yards upside this week where Hey,
- 28:10Speaker 3: I might download the tape. I might download the mixtape
- 28:13Speaker 3: Choose Myself, that's the name of it, two songs. I
- 28:15Speaker 3: might just support the group. If he goes out there
- 28:18Speaker 3: and balls.
- 28:18Speaker 4: Out, I would just break it.
- 28:20Speaker 2: You don't if you can find it for free ninety
- 28:24Speaker 2: nine like I wouldn't spend I wouldn't spend legal tender
- 28:27Speaker 2: on it.
- 28:30Speaker 3: Come on, MG, if he brings home tight end one
- 28:33Speaker 3: performance this week, you gotta download it, bro, you gotta
- 28:37Speaker 3: bump it in the studio.
- 28:38Speaker 4: Come out.
- 28:39Speaker 7: Let's let me.
- 28:39Speaker 2: Back off and like I'm let me not tell another
- 28:41Speaker 2: grown man how to spend his hard earned money, right,
- 28:44Speaker 2: is just he's just putting that out.
- 28:45Speaker 7: There's a suggestion.
- 28:46Speaker 3: If he's going to be supporting fantasy points from my rosters,
- 28:50Speaker 3: I'm gonna support the music.
- 28:51Speaker 4: Put it like that? All right, all right, good enough?
- 28:54Speaker 2: You mentioned Coaston Loveland Florio as I said this week,
- 28:59Speaker 2: what do we do with the tight end position in
- 29:01Speaker 2: Chicago at this point? I mean we just out all
- 29:03Speaker 2: together now or what.
- 29:05Speaker 6: I That's my approach, Like, I won't act like I
- 29:08Speaker 6: have Colson Lovelin on a bunch of teams because I
- 29:10Speaker 6: wasn't like heavily targeting him this season, but I had
- 29:14Speaker 6: I've had him on a couple of teams where I've
- 29:16Speaker 6: dropped him and then like repicked him up as the
- 29:18Speaker 6: year has gone on. But I've kind of gotten to
- 29:21Speaker 6: the point of the season where like I had one
- 29:23Speaker 6: team where I had him and it was Ferguson, And
- 29:26Speaker 6: for a while I was starting Ferguson, and then you know,
- 29:28Speaker 6: Ferguson kind of declined a little bit and then he
- 29:31Speaker 6: started to ascend. And I've just decided, like I'm playing
- 29:33Speaker 6: Ferguson every single week because I think trying to chase
- 29:36Speaker 6: it and figure it out leads to headaches and missed
- 29:38Speaker 6: opportunities and stuff like that. But yeah, because Cole Komet
- 29:41Speaker 6: hasn't gone away, they're they're you mixing in Luther Burden.
- 29:44Speaker 6: There's the key is there's more and dunsday and they
- 29:47Speaker 6: run like the Bears. One they're just not an efficient
- 29:50Speaker 6: passing attack, and two they have so many options that
- 29:54Speaker 6: I for me, at least, I think he's still in
- 29:56Speaker 6: play as a streamer in the right matchup. But that's
- 29:59Speaker 6: kind of it.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, it looked like things were starting to
- 30:02Speaker 2: kind of build for him, but he's kind of taking
- 30:05Speaker 2: a step back recently, so we will see how that
- 30:07Speaker 2: works out.
- 30:08Speaker 3: Could we do a status check on Ronde Gaston's dad,
- 30:11Speaker 3: Like has he been starting him? Oh, that's what's my
- 30:14Speaker 3: question on this decline. We need a status update because bro,
- 30:17Speaker 3: it's it's been dark for him and that's it's been
- 30:19Speaker 3: hard to be benching him because it's like, come on, bro,
- 30:22Speaker 3: he was bawling. Please tell me he didn't go out
- 30:25Speaker 3: there and start his son. We need a status update.
- 30:28Speaker 2: Ronde Senior might be starting Ronde the second and that's
- 30:30Speaker 2: the problem. Then that's why you're not getting any Fantasy points.
- 30:33Speaker 2: We will, We'll have to We'll have to inquire about
- 30:36Speaker 2: that time for a break, but when we come back,
- 30:38Speaker 2: we'll play Fantasy either or with your toughest start, set decisions,
- 30:41Speaker 2: give you some hot takes for the week and have
- 30:43Speaker 2: a chat with cam Wolf time for a little bit
- 30:49Speaker 2: of Fantasy either or put together some matchups.
- 30:52Speaker 7: These are guys we've.
- 30:52Speaker 2: Talked about actually earlier in the week, but you know,
- 30:54Speaker 2: we did some Fantasy trust falls and some of these
- 30:56Speaker 2: names appeared there. But I kind of wanted to, you know,
- 31:00Speaker 2: make the second of a real life situation, like it's
- 31:02Speaker 2: one thing to be like, I don't think I'm gonna start,
- 31:04Speaker 2: you know whatever, Trevor Lawrence this week, But if you
- 31:08Speaker 2: make it either or, then you kind of have to make.
- 31:09Speaker 4: Some decisions about this.
- 31:10Speaker 2: So Flora, I'll let you go first, and Lakwan you
- 31:12Speaker 2: can follow up after that. Trevor Lawrence against the Colts
- 31:16Speaker 2: this week or Sam Donald against the Falcons.
- 31:18Speaker 4: Who'd you rather?
- 31:19Speaker 6: I'm gonna go with Trevor Lawrence there because I think
- 31:21Speaker 6: that could be a more competitive game. The Colts, I
- 31:24Speaker 6: know their secondary has been really elite as or putting
- 31:27Speaker 6: up really good numbers as of late, but that was
- 31:29Speaker 6: after they got Sauce Gardner, and we don't know if
- 31:31Speaker 6: he's going to be out there this week. Remember early
- 31:33Speaker 6: in the year Presauce, the Colts were allowing a lot
- 31:35Speaker 6: of passing game production, and then on top of that,
- 31:38Speaker 6: that's what we said, Yes, like Sam Darnald has these
- 31:40Speaker 6: dud games where he plays fine, but they just don't
- 31:43Speaker 6: need him to put up numbers. So that is my
- 31:45Speaker 6: concern this week in Atlanta.
- 31:47Speaker 2: All right, Lakwan William William, Trevor Or, Samuel Richard, give me,
- 31:52Speaker 2: sir William.
- 31:53Speaker 3: I think Sam Darnald, man.
- 31:54Speaker 7: His lows are bad. Man.
- 31:56Speaker 3: Those are week losing lows that we're seeing from Sam
- 31:59Speaker 3: Donald right there. And obviously when you have like a
- 32:01Speaker 3: Kenneth Walker or Jason as explosive and put you in
- 32:04Speaker 3: striking distance, the yards upside are not going to be there,
- 32:07Speaker 3: and that's been the issue for Sam Darnold.
- 32:10Speaker 2: All right, So Trevor Lawrence wins that one. I probably
- 32:13Speaker 2: make it a full clean sweep here because I think,
- 32:15Speaker 2: you know, if anything seems like a game where the
- 32:18Speaker 2: Seahawks kind of run the ball a lot too against Atlanta,
- 32:21Speaker 2: So I think I think Trevor Lawrence wins.
- 32:23Speaker 4: All right's go over the running backs.
- 32:24Speaker 2: I'll start with you on this one, Lakwan DeAndre Swift
- 32:28Speaker 2: at Green Bay.
- 32:29Speaker 7: We know Florio has him as a start.
- 32:31Speaker 2: Versus Brice Hall against Miami and what's been a pretty
- 32:34Speaker 2: bad run defense there.
- 32:37Speaker 3: I'll probably lean Swift and it's close for me. But
- 32:40Speaker 3: the problem is with Breecee Hall. There's not much consistent
- 32:43Speaker 3: pass catching opportunities for him.
- 32:45Speaker 5: Right.
- 32:45Speaker 3: We haven't seen bres Hall get Pepper with so many targets,
- 32:48Speaker 3: and we talked about that earlier in the week, and
- 32:50Speaker 3: I feel like now with Swift being the head hontro
- 32:53Speaker 3: of that backfield and they're finding rhythm that they can't
- 32:56Speaker 3: lean on the passing game. We're seeing screens, We're seeing
- 32:58Speaker 3: opportunities for Swift and common Nung Guy, both being fantashy relevant.
- 33:02Speaker 3: But who is eating first on that plate is DeAndre Swift?
- 33:05Speaker 4: All Right? Which one of these, DWO do you like more?
- 33:07Speaker 6: I'm actually gonna go in the opposite direction. I'm gonna
- 33:09Speaker 6: go with brace Hall here. I like them as much
- 33:11Speaker 6: as I was saying the Packers have struggled against the run.
- 33:13Speaker 6: As of late, the Dolphins have been one of the
- 33:15Speaker 6: best matchups for running backs all year, and more than anything,
- 33:19Speaker 6: Breese Hall has his backfield to himself.
- 33:21Speaker 7: Like when the Bears get on.
- 33:22Speaker 6: The two yard line, we have to worry is it
- 33:24Speaker 6: gonna be Swift or Manungay And lately it's been more
- 33:26Speaker 6: Manongai near the goal line. So what we know when
- 33:29Speaker 6: bres Hall gets that when the Jets get down there,
- 33:31Speaker 6: it's gonna go. If it's not Tyrod steeling it, it's
- 33:34Speaker 6: going to Breeze Hall. So I think I actually I've
- 33:37Speaker 6: been listing names because they don't want me to write
- 33:39Speaker 6: more than four. But I've been listing like other starts,
- 33:42Speaker 6: and Breese is in there. The only reason I didn't
- 33:44Speaker 6: write him up is because I was like, which one
- 33:46Speaker 6: do I think fantasy manager's gonna more questions about?
- 33:49Speaker 4: And that for me was the Bears backfield.
- 33:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I think I go Breese Hall too, And I
- 33:52Speaker 2: think Lakwan to answer your concern, I think this is
- 33:55Speaker 2: a week you see him get maybe a few more targets.
- 33:57Speaker 2: I think you get some easier short throws for Tyrod Taylor.
- 34:00Speaker 2: I think you just want to try to get him
- 34:02Speaker 2: out in space a little bit, because part of what
- 34:05Speaker 2: the Dolphins do well is they do pressure the quarterback.
- 34:07Speaker 2: So a good way to sort of back that off
- 34:09Speaker 2: is to just pay a couple quick throws to.
- 34:12Speaker 3: The running It's a lot of hope that comes with
- 34:14Speaker 3: being you know, with the Jets, there's a lot of
- 34:16Speaker 3: hope that they can win five games. There's a lot
- 34:18Speaker 3: of hope they can get in striking distance. That's just
- 34:21Speaker 3: my issue.
- 34:21Speaker 7: It's a lot of hope.
- 34:23Speaker 3: I just feel like I'm gonna go with the more
- 34:25Speaker 3: agenda driven game where they're going to run the living
- 34:28Speaker 3: heck out of that ball.
- 34:29Speaker 4: Hope is not a plan, but sometimes maybe it is.
- 34:32Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 34:33Speaker 2: Another running back question Florio quin Shawn Judkins against the
- 34:36Speaker 2: Titans or Traves etn against the Colts.
- 34:38Speaker 4: Quinn Shard Judkins.
- 34:39Speaker 6: For me, he is such a safe bet for volume,
- 34:43Speaker 6: Like since Week three when he really started to take over.
- 34:46Speaker 6: Three games with less than eighteen touches and one of
- 34:48Speaker 6: them is sixteen, Like, he is just such a safe bet.
- 34:51Speaker 6: The only time that things can really go wrong for
- 34:54Speaker 6: him is when the Browns are getting blown out. I
- 34:56Speaker 6: don't see that happening this week against the Titans, and
- 34:58Speaker 6: then they're what they just showed. The Wildcat that they
- 35:01Speaker 6: are using him in near the goal line is tremendous
- 35:04Speaker 6: for his fantasy value. Last week he had three targets.
- 35:07Speaker 6: I'm hoping that that's something he could start to build
- 35:09Speaker 6: on a little bit more pass game usage. But yeah,
- 35:11Speaker 6: I think Judkins finishes as a top ten running back
- 35:14Speaker 6: this week.
- 35:14Speaker 4: All right, which one of these two do you like?
- 35:17Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 35:17Speaker 3: I like Junkins as well. I'm with Floria as a
- 35:19Speaker 3: top ten running back this week. I don't expect him
- 35:21Speaker 3: to get blown out. I expect, you know, Junkins to
- 35:23Speaker 3: be handling business. It's Travis Etn. I'm a little worried
- 35:26Speaker 3: about last week. We saw him the hit that low
- 35:28Speaker 3: last week. We've seen the last couple of weeks We've
- 35:30Speaker 3: actually seen too and get involved as well in short yardage,
- 35:33Speaker 3: goal line areas, and with Jacoby Myers and now Brian
- 35:36Speaker 3: Thomas juet Are Breton Streams, there's a lot of different
- 35:39Speaker 3: dynamics of what this offense can offer where Travis Etn
- 35:42Speaker 3: doesn't have to hold down the four all by hisself now,
- 35:44Speaker 3: So I think the higher ceiling goes with Jenkins. If
- 35:47Speaker 3: I'm in the quick buyd with these two all.
- 35:49Speaker 2: I will make that a clean sweep, because it feels
- 35:51Speaker 2: like every time we start to buy into Travis Etn
- 35:53Speaker 2: he disappears, and then when we give up on him,
- 35:55Speaker 2: he starts.
- 35:55Speaker 4: Getting a whole bunch of carries again. So I can't
- 35:57Speaker 4: figure it out.
- 35:58Speaker 2: Laquoi Khalis against the Bengals, Marvin Harrison Junior against the Rams.
- 36:04Speaker 3: Give me Marvi if he's good to go. Okay, I
- 36:06Speaker 3: gotta go with mar because of Jacoby Brissett, man, And
- 36:09Speaker 3: this ain't look I see how you look at me, Florial.
- 36:11Speaker 7: This ain't a.
- 36:12Speaker 3: Little night turn. I'm not trying to get you to cry.
- 36:14Speaker 3: And I'm picking mar because I just think there's more opportunities.
- 36:17Speaker 3: I was just looking. That's crazy. I know you're going
- 36:19Speaker 3: to get your lick back, but listen, I'm going Marv honestly,
- 36:22Speaker 3: because everything we've seen from Jacoby Brissett makes me feel
- 36:25Speaker 3: comfortable about a Cardinals wide receiver. And we've seen opportunities
- 36:29Speaker 3: last week with this Rams defense of finding opportunities downfield
- 36:34Speaker 3: with that Tetro McMillan, you know, touchdown over Emmanuel Forbes.
- 36:37Speaker 3: So I do think they're going to keep on chucking
- 36:39Speaker 3: it downfield and with that high volume, high upside. If
- 36:42Speaker 3: Marve's good to go, he's in my starting lineups.
- 36:44Speaker 4: All right, which one do you like?
- 36:45Speaker 7: I'm not crashing out? I agree.
- 36:47Speaker 6: I think it's Marvin Harrison here because of Jacoby Brissett,
- 36:51Speaker 6: he's amazing. They're probably going to be trailing in this game.
- 36:54Speaker 6: Like look, he might not have a lot of points
- 36:56Speaker 6: at halftime.
- 36:57Speaker 7: Just look at the end of the game.
- 36:58Speaker 6: That's when the Cardinals do their best wor when they're
- 37:00Speaker 6: in ketchup mode in the second half. On top of that,
- 37:04Speaker 6: I said yesterday, I think like James Cooke, Ty Johnson,
- 37:06Speaker 6: Ray Davis are going to be heavily utilized in this game.
- 37:10Speaker 6: The Bengals are so bad against the run and tight
- 37:13Speaker 6: ends that they're actually one of the harder matchups for
- 37:15Speaker 6: wide receivers on the year. They've allowed these six fewest
- 37:18Speaker 6: fantasy points two wide receivers because all of the eating
- 37:21Speaker 6: is going to the other positions that they just simply
- 37:23Speaker 6: cannot guard.
- 37:24Speaker 2: All right, yeah, I think I go Marvin Harrison. I
- 37:27Speaker 2: just think the air yards are a big thing there
- 37:28Speaker 2: and the catchup mode that they'll probably be in the
- 37:31Speaker 2: second half. I think those sort of lean a little
- 37:33Speaker 2: bit more towards toward Harrison. Shakiro usually has to get
- 37:37Speaker 2: a lot of targets or break a couple of long
- 37:39Speaker 2: runs to put up a good fantasy number.
- 37:41Speaker 4: It could happen against Cincinnati, but.
- 37:43Speaker 2: I'd rather take the guy who you know will pick
- 37:45Speaker 2: up yards in chunks, presumably, and that's Marvin Harrison.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:49Speaker 7: Last one, Florio, Darren Waller.
- 37:51Speaker 4: Against the Jets are held fan and against the Titans.
- 37:54Speaker 7: My guy, Darren Waller.
- 37:55Speaker 6: He uh, look, the Jets' third most touchdowns, a lot
- 37:58Speaker 6: of tight ends this season. They've struggled against the position
- 38:01Speaker 6: all year. And Harold Fanning, I do think he's in play,
- 38:04Speaker 6: like he's one of my deeper starts that I list
- 38:07Speaker 6: on in the column, But.
- 38:09Speaker 7: I just don't.
- 38:10Speaker 6: I one, I trust Tyrod more than I trust Shador.
- 38:13Speaker 6: I like the matchup a little bit more for Darren Waller.
- 38:16Speaker 6: The Titans haven't given up a lot of production to
- 38:18Speaker 6: tight ends, So I'm gonna go with the with the
- 38:20Speaker 6: big fella.
- 38:21Speaker 2: There, all right, you go on, mister mixtape, you go on,
- 38:23Speaker 2: Harold Fannin Lakwan, I'm going.
- 38:25Speaker 3: Mister mixtape, Darren Waller. I think Harrow Fann and he
- 38:28Speaker 3: gives you a safe floor. But we're looking for high
- 38:30Speaker 3: ceilings in a big week this week. So give me
- 38:32Speaker 3: Darren Waller with the opportunity to score and obviously put
- 38:34Speaker 3: up six and I download his mixtape.
- 38:36Speaker 4: All right, I'll take uh.
- 38:37Speaker 2: I'll take Waller as well, just because I think the
- 38:39Speaker 2: Dolphins can score more points than the Browns can, simple
- 38:43Speaker 2: as that they're gonna get more touchdown opportunities. So that's
- 38:46Speaker 2: the reason I would go with Darren Waller. Those are
- 38:50Speaker 2: either ors. Get your taste buzz ready getting spicy with
- 38:53Speaker 2: our takes for week fourteen, Lakwan who are getting spicy.
- 38:56Speaker 3: With surprisingly enough, Tyler Schuck. I'm a Spencer Ratler guy,
- 39:01Speaker 3: but Tyler Shuck this week has opportunity of putting up
- 39:03Speaker 3: a twenty five burger like a big game against this
- 39:06Speaker 3: Bucks defense, just based on how trash their red zone
- 39:09Speaker 3: defense is, so scoring opportunities. And when we look at
- 39:12Speaker 3: the Bucks defense the last four games, they have allowed
- 39:15Speaker 3: the most yards per attempt at eight point four yards.
- 39:18Speaker 3: We're looking at a defense that have allowed two hundred
- 39:21Speaker 3: and plus two hundred and seventy plus passing yards each
- 39:24Speaker 3: of the last four games to the quarterbacks when we
- 39:26Speaker 3: were looking at guys like Drake May, Josh Allen, Jacoby
- 39:29Speaker 3: Brissett offensive Player to Year candidates there and Matthew Stafford
- 39:33Speaker 3: mister MVP. So I look at this as an opportunity
- 39:36Speaker 3: where he could sit right in between and put up
- 39:38Speaker 3: a twenty five burger where these guys have found success
- 39:41Speaker 3: as of the last four games against the Bucks.
- 39:43Speaker 2: I put him into a couple of lineups this week.
- 39:45Speaker 2: So this makes me feel good. Florida, what is your bullpendiction?
- 39:48Speaker 6: I talked him up on Fantasy Live a little bit yesterday,
- 39:50Speaker 6: so I'm on board with that. Nice Alq's not gonna
- 39:53Speaker 6: like this one, but I think, justin Jefferson, it's wild
- 39:56Speaker 6: that he hasn't done this already this year. First game
- 39:58Speaker 6: with one hundred yards and a touchdown this season. Why
- 40:02Speaker 6: because the Commanders like they are the I would argue
- 40:06Speaker 6: they might be the e least passing defense. I think
- 40:08Speaker 6: they're the worst in the league. Speed kills them. They
- 40:12Speaker 6: can't tackle, like, there's a lot wrong with that Commander's
- 40:15Speaker 6: defense right now.
- 40:16Speaker 7: They can't get after the quarterback.
- 40:17Speaker 6: I think it's going to be friendlier confines for the Vikings,
- 40:21Speaker 6: and I think again, they're gonna throw the ball his
- 40:23Speaker 6: way a bunch.
- 40:24Speaker 7: He is look at this like he can do. All
- 40:27Speaker 7: you gotta do is play. He can win after the catch,
- 40:29Speaker 7: he could win deafiely.
- 40:30Speaker 6: Just give him opportunities against his defense and he's going
- 40:33Speaker 6: to have his best game of the season.
- 40:34Speaker 2: Has not had a touchdown since Week nine, has not
- 40:37Speaker 2: had one hundred yards since Week five. So we'll see
- 40:40Speaker 2: if he can crack both of those this week. So
- 40:43Speaker 2: James Cook James Cook two hundred scrimmage yards this week
- 40:46Speaker 2: against the Cincinnati Bengals. I know the Bengals played better
- 40:49Speaker 2: against the Ravens on Thanksgiving Night. I'm not convinced that
- 40:53Speaker 2: they are fixed yet. I need to see it again.
- 40:56Speaker 2: They've still been terrible against the run. And I said
- 40:59Speaker 2: this on Fantasy I'll say it again here. Joe Brady
- 41:02Speaker 2: in Western New York is slightly less popular than Lake
- 41:06Speaker 2: Effect Snow. So I think I think they're gonna try
- 41:09Speaker 2: and get away from, you know, running a lot of mesh.
- 41:12Speaker 4: I mean, they're still gonna run.
- 41:13Speaker 2: It because that' apparently all Joe Brady knows how to do.
- 41:14Speaker 2: But a lot of it's going to be trying to
- 41:16Speaker 2: get the ball to James Cook, letting.
- 41:18Speaker 4: Him do his thing.
- 41:19Speaker 2: I think he's gonna get over twenty carries. I think
- 41:21Speaker 2: he's gonna get a few targets as well, and I
- 41:22Speaker 2: think he puts up two hundred scrimmag yards and yeah,
- 41:24Speaker 2: we'll throw a touchdown in there too.
- 41:26Speaker 4: For a good measure.
- 41:27Speaker 6: You know what, My favorite Joe Brady thing is, what's
- 41:29Speaker 6: that two weeks ago when they played the Texans and
- 41:31Speaker 6: they lost, Bills fans will like, he ran the same
- 41:33Speaker 6: play over and over again, and then they legitimately ran
- 41:36Speaker 6: the same play twenty nine times against the Steelers, and
- 41:38Speaker 6: Bill's fans are like, he ran the same play and
- 41:40Speaker 6: they can't stop.
- 41:41Speaker 7: So all of that matters is wins and loss. All
- 41:43Speaker 7: that matters is wins and losses.
- 41:46Speaker 4: Time to say goodbye to Lakwan.
- 41:48Speaker 2: Glad to be joined it now by our friend and
- 41:51Speaker 2: NFL Network reporter Cam Wolfa, who hangs out with us
- 41:54Speaker 2: every week to give us his insight on things going
- 41:56Speaker 2: on around the league.
- 41:57Speaker 4: And Cam, you drew, You drew the long straw, You
- 41:59Speaker 4: got the good one.
- 42:00Speaker 2: This week You're going up to Buffalo for Bengals and Bills,
- 42:04Speaker 2: which on paper one of the marquee games of the week.
- 42:07Speaker 2: So I mean one, you've been some cold places lately.
- 42:10Speaker 2: Are you ready for Western New York in December?
- 42:14Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 42:14Speaker 7: Are you ever really ready?
- 42:16Speaker 5: No? I don't really have much of a choice. It's
- 42:19Speaker 5: gonna be cold.
- 42:21Speaker 8: It is gonna be fun, though, because I can't wait
- 42:22Speaker 8: to see these quarterbacks sling the ball around.
- 42:24Speaker 5: But it's annual joke I have.
- 42:26Speaker 8: They love to see the South Florida guys see if
- 42:28Speaker 8: I can get frozen and the coldest places I can be.
- 42:31Speaker 5: So I will be bundled up, I will have layers
- 42:34Speaker 5: on and we'll see if I survive.
- 42:37Speaker 6: When you joined us on game day preview on Sunday
- 42:39Speaker 6: from Cleveland, it looked like tears were frozen on your face.
- 42:43Speaker 7: They were.
- 42:43Speaker 8: They were literally coming down. The wind was blowing pretty bad.
- 42:47Speaker 8: It was not an emotional story. I was talking about
- 42:50Speaker 8: opportunities to be the starter beyond twenty twenty five. But
- 42:53Speaker 8: they're just coming and I have to decide as you're
- 42:57Speaker 8: on air, do you wipe and draw more attention, you
- 43:00Speaker 8: just let them flow and act like they're not there.
- 43:02Speaker 5: And I chose the latter. But people will of course
- 43:05Speaker 5: you still notice it's tears.
- 43:06Speaker 4: It's a no win situation that deal.
- 43:11Speaker 2: But do you want to ask you about the Bengals,
- 43:13Speaker 2: because we saw Joe Burrow come back on Thanksgiving.
- 43:15Speaker 4: He looked really good.
- 43:16Speaker 2: He helped them get a win over the Baltimore Ravens.
- 43:20Speaker 2: They were doing some good things with Joe Flacco. But
- 43:22Speaker 2: this offense feels different. How much different is it really
- 43:24Speaker 2: with Joe Burrow versus Joe Flacco.
- 43:27Speaker 8: It's so different, It's so different. Marcus I actually talked
- 43:29Speaker 8: to Chase Brown, their running back, about this yesterday, and
- 43:32Speaker 8: he said it starts with just his control and knowledge
- 43:35Speaker 8: of everything. Joe Burrow, he said, the way we have
- 43:38Speaker 8: an ability to get to every single check in our offense,
- 43:41Speaker 8: every single protection, every single hot route we can potentially do.
- 43:44Speaker 8: He said, no offense to Joe Flacco, but he'd only
- 43:46Speaker 8: been here three weeks. He said, Joe called some stuff
- 43:48Speaker 8: this past week that we hadn't done in two years,
- 43:51Speaker 8: and we all got back and flow of it right,
- 43:53Speaker 8: And he said, there's so much control, there's so much
- 43:55Speaker 8: calmness that we just want to go out there and
- 43:57Speaker 8: play to the next level.
- 43:59Speaker 5: And we saw that from them.
- 44:00Speaker 8: You know the offense had already started to show some
- 44:03Speaker 8: signs of life with Flacco Chase Brown's been running the
- 44:05Speaker 8: ball well, but when Burrow was around him, I think
- 44:08Speaker 8: the impact on everyone else was so clear. The defense
- 44:11Speaker 8: all of a sudden, which has been to see most
- 44:13Speaker 8: of the year, look pretty solid. You know, Jamar Chase
- 44:17Speaker 8: looked like he was having fun playing ball again, and
- 44:19Speaker 8: so I think that'll continue. They're playing with the level
- 44:22Speaker 8: of looseness, of freeness of what else do we have
- 44:25Speaker 8: to lose? And I know people in that locker room
- 44:27Speaker 8: were talking about the win out.
- 44:29Speaker 5: Possibility of what if?
- 44:31Speaker 8: What if we were in the rest of our games
- 44:33Speaker 8: and we're nine in eight and we're getting a chance
- 44:35Speaker 8: to potentially get back in this division.
- 44:37Speaker 1: Hunt.
- 44:38Speaker 6: Yeah, they're going to have to do to win out,
- 44:41Speaker 6: and that means they have to win this weekend in
- 44:43Speaker 6: Buffalo can But on the other side, look, we know
- 44:46Speaker 6: the Bills could run with the best of them, but
- 44:48Speaker 6: what do they have to do to get more consistency
- 44:51Speaker 6: in the passing game?
- 44:52Speaker 5: Those pass catchers have to step up.
- 44:54Speaker 8: Like we talked about the Bengals offense, The Bengals have
- 44:56Speaker 8: Jamar Chase and t Higgins who it sounds like we'll
- 44:59Speaker 8: play today that they can throw this week, that they
- 45:02Speaker 8: can throw to every down. Who is the Bills guy,
- 45:05Speaker 8: Who is the guy besides James Cook that you know
- 45:07Speaker 8: every single week you're going to get contribution from. There's
- 45:10Speaker 8: not that consistency. And so Khalil Shakira is good for
- 45:13Speaker 8: what he is, but they need one of those high
- 45:15Speaker 8: drafted guys, Dalton Kincaid or Kean Coleman to step up
- 45:19Speaker 8: at some point. And there's no cavalry coming. You know,
- 45:22Speaker 8: they brought in Brandon Cooks. It'll be a nice piece,
- 45:25Speaker 8: but I don't anticipate him saving the offense. Sounds like
- 45:28Speaker 8: Josh Palmer's still dealing with some injury injury issues and
- 45:31Speaker 8: they won't have him this week, and so those guys
- 45:33Speaker 8: Keon Coleman and Dalton Kkaid have to get it done.
- 45:36Speaker 8: And it sounds like Kaid's going to play this week.
- 45:38Speaker 8: He's trending towards that way, and it sounds like after
- 45:40Speaker 8: Coleman had a really couple of rough weeks with showing
- 45:43Speaker 8: up late, he's bounced back at least from a responsibility perspective,
- 45:48Speaker 8: and they haven't given up on him. And so you know,
- 45:51Speaker 8: I know Bill's fans don't love the idea of betting
- 45:53Speaker 8: on those two guys, but I think the dreams of
- 45:55Speaker 8: that passing attack coming alive relies on those two.
- 45:59Speaker 4: Yeah, definitely.
- 46:00Speaker 2: You know, obviously you mentioned they were high draft picks.
- 46:02Speaker 2: At some point you need to get some production out
- 46:04Speaker 2: of them if you're going to really make a run
- 46:06Speaker 2: at a Super Bowl. Let's kind of go out to
- 46:08Speaker 2: the big thirty thousand foot for to you. I know
- 46:10Speaker 2: this is a week to week conversation, but let's just
- 46:12Speaker 2: talk about it again this week. Right now, who do
- 46:15Speaker 2: you think is the front runner for the MVP Award
- 46:17Speaker 2: in the NFL.
- 46:18Speaker 8: It's Drake May to me. And look, I think it's
- 46:21Speaker 8: a two man race. I know, early on the running
- 46:23Speaker 8: backs we're in it. I think a lot of those
- 46:24Speaker 8: kind of fell off. I think Matthew Stafford and Drake
- 46:27Speaker 8: May to me or one and two, you can pick either.
- 46:30Speaker 8: Or you know, Matthew Stafford's got the touchdown to interception
- 46:33Speaker 8: ratio thirty two to four. But the way Drake May
- 46:36Speaker 8: has such control, such an impact on this offense is
- 46:39Speaker 8: incredible to see. I mean, we forget the Patriots were
- 46:41Speaker 8: one of the worst five teams of football last year,
- 46:44Speaker 8: and now they're number one seed in the AFC. Drake
- 46:46Speaker 8: May's leading the NFL and passing yards and completion percentage
- 46:50Speaker 8: and quarterback rating. He's making the type of smart, efficient
- 46:54Speaker 8: plays that we just don't see from a second year quarterback.
- 46:58Speaker 8: And he's doing it without an elite, elite number one receiver.
- 47:01Speaker 8: Stefan Diggs has been good. He's not early career Stefan Diggs,
- 47:05Speaker 8: and so everyone is eating and I think Drake May
- 47:08Speaker 8: is the main reason the Patriots are going to be
- 47:11Speaker 8: the biggest surprise of the twenty twenty five season as
- 47:14Speaker 8: far as a turnaround. So if I had to vote,
- 47:16Speaker 8: and with Verdon today, I would vote for Drake Man.
- 47:19Speaker 2: If the Browns record was reversed, if they were nine
- 47:21Speaker 2: and three instead of three.
- 47:22Speaker 7: And now we'll be talking about Miles Garrett.
- 47:24Speaker 8: Of course, he's doing something nobody has done since I've
- 47:28Speaker 8: been alive as a defensive player, Like it's incredible. I
- 47:31Speaker 8: was there for this game this past week, and after
- 47:33Speaker 8: the forty nine ers beat them by twenty points, there
- 47:36Speaker 8: are seven players lined up trying to talk to Miles
- 47:39Speaker 8: Garrett tell them how incredible it was to play against them.
- 47:41Speaker 5: You never see that from losing teams. I think it's
- 47:44Speaker 5: a respect factor.
- 47:45Speaker 8: Trent Williams called him the best to ever play pass
- 47:48Speaker 8: rusher in the NFL, and I think he's going to
- 47:51Speaker 8: get that record, and if he does, it'll certainly give
- 47:53Speaker 8: him Defensive Player of the Year. But you know what,
- 47:55Speaker 8: do they call them baseball Some down ballot MVP votes
- 47:57Speaker 8: wouldn't surprise me as well.
- 48:00Speaker 6: Kim, Look, you're your guy who likes to hit the
- 48:01Speaker 6: gym and stuff. Did you get any tips from Miles
- 48:04Speaker 6: Garrett because he is the closest thing to an Avenger.
- 48:06Speaker 8: Oh no, we're in different gyms the same we don't
- 48:12Speaker 8: have the same rack. You know, his his weight with
- 48:15Speaker 8: my way. We would laugh at my weight. You know,
- 48:18Speaker 8: I stand next to him on the sidelines and it
- 48:20Speaker 8: reminds me that I'm just you know, I'm not working out.
- 48:23Speaker 8: I'm just moving moving things around, working out. So yeah,
- 48:28Speaker 8: it's great to humble get humbled anytime you see Miles Garrett.
- 48:32Speaker 6: I mean, his traps are the size of my body,
- 48:34Speaker 6: like it is in insane crazy. Uh, Cam, can you
- 48:39Speaker 6: explain what has happened to Lamar in the second half?
- 48:42Speaker 6: And you being a fantasy guy yourself, if you had Lamar,
- 48:45Speaker 6: would you play him this week against the Steelers?
- 48:48Speaker 8: Yeah, I would not. I'm concerned because you know it's
- 48:52Speaker 8: clearly not one hundred percent. I think that's the first thing,
- 48:55Speaker 8: the first answer to your question. But Lamar is such
- 48:58Speaker 8: a private guy that I think he's going to kind
- 49:02Speaker 8: of hide whatever he's dealing with if he feels like.
- 49:05Speaker 5: He's good enough to go.
- 49:07Speaker 8: And the issue is, I'm curious how much they've adjusted
- 49:10Speaker 8: their play calling or they need to based on his limitations,
- 49:13Speaker 8: because it seems like the offense is still functioning with
- 49:16Speaker 8: a lot of the run pass options and Lamar is
- 49:18Speaker 8: just not making the decision to run as often and
- 49:22Speaker 8: that's what made them so difficult to find. And so
- 49:24Speaker 8: now teams can load up in the box for Derek
- 49:26Speaker 8: a little bit more. He hasn't been as efficient as
- 49:28Speaker 8: a passer, and I don't know if we ever get
- 49:31Speaker 8: a fully healthy Lamar Jackson the rest of the season,
- 49:34Speaker 8: So that part is concerning. Can you adjust the offense
- 49:38Speaker 8: to a little bit more of a limited Lamar? And me,
- 49:40Speaker 8: as a fantasy owner, I wouldn't want to bet my
- 49:44Speaker 8: fantasy life in the playoffs on trying to find it out.
- 49:47Speaker 8: So if I've got another starting option that I would
- 49:50Speaker 8: feel comfortable with, and that's probably the hard part. But
- 49:52Speaker 8: if I had a Jackson Dart, if I had a
- 49:56Speaker 8: guy that I felt like, hey, I can get good
- 49:58Speaker 8: twenty five point from, I'd probably been to Lamar for Yeah.
- 50:02Speaker 2: I mean, it's frustrating because you spent the high draft
- 50:06Speaker 2: pick on Lamar.
- 50:06Speaker 7: You kind of are hoping for.
- 50:08Speaker 4: Him to produce.
- 50:08Speaker 2: But at some point you kind of got to go
- 50:11Speaker 2: where the numbers are leading you, and right now they're
- 50:13Speaker 2: sort of leading you away from from Lamar Jackson. Enjoy
- 50:16Speaker 2: the game. That should be a lot of fun. We
- 50:17Speaker 2: always enjoy talking to Cam. Be sure to check him
- 50:19Speaker 2: out both on social media and across the network as well.
- 50:22Speaker 4: And for us, that is it. We are done.
- 50:25Speaker 2: We appreciate you hanging out with the NFL Fantasy Football Show.
- 50:28Speaker 7: You know the drill.
- 50:28Speaker 2: Tell two friends to tell two friends rate review and
- 50:31Speaker 2: remember if at first you don't succeed, by not if
- 50:33Speaker 2: second place gets anything, be safe, take care of yourselves.
- 50:36Speaker 4: Enjoy Week fourteen. I will talk to you again on Monday.
- 50:39Speaker 2: Wow took at at bat to tek a alcot
