  SPEAKER_00: Episode one of the podcast, and I'm so excited and thankful this episode isn't gonna be super long, just because it's I want to just give you guys a quick introductory on who I am, my journey, and what goals I got set out for myself.

  SPEAKER_00: So basically, let's go ahead and jump into it.

  SPEAKER_00: So, long story short, um, again, my name is Adam Moore.

  SPEAKER_00: Uh I I currently live in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

  SPEAKER_00: I'm from Lima, Ohio.

  SPEAKER_00: Shout out to the bean.

  SPEAKER_00: Uh, right now, it's just this is my third time starting a podcast.

  SPEAKER_00: And sorry, that was my son right there in the background.

  SPEAKER_00: Anyway, this is my third time starting a podcast, and it's not because they failed, it's just because once you have new ideas, you want to go ahead and spring them into action and stuff like that.

  SPEAKER_00: But um, the first podcast, I had the name.

  SPEAKER_00: Apparently, uh, someone had tricked me, and I had to give up give up my name uh to the podcast.

  SPEAKER_00: That was a bummer because we were actually, you know, creating something really cool, something really good.

  SPEAKER_00: And the second podcast, it was just all over the place.

  SPEAKER_00: Great idea, but highly unorganized, and didn't have like a lot of it was stuck in a box, pretty much.

  SPEAKER_00: Now, this podcast that we changed the name, we changed the way we interview people, we changed the way we talk to people, everything, you know.

  SPEAKER_00: I'm outside of the box this time, and it honestly feels different, it feels good, I feel comfortable with it, and I really just you know thank God one is g it's God driven 100%.

  SPEAKER_00: Like I'm 100% just letting God take the reins with this podcast, and he steered in the direction it's supposed to go.

  SPEAKER_00: So that's that's the um story behind that.

  SPEAKER_00: Now, me, I'm 30 years old.

  SPEAKER_00: I got three kids, two boys, one girl.

  SPEAKER_00: She just turned one.

  SPEAKER_00: My second is about to turn eight years old, and my oldest is about to turn nine.

  SPEAKER_00: It's crazy how time just flying by like that, honestly.

  SPEAKER_00: And it's just it's just all of it's just a blessing.

  SPEAKER_00: So, what exactly is this podcast supposed to do?

  SPEAKER_00: This podcast is supposed to bring some good vibes, be like speak to people who know about success, who wants to be successful, and who want to get out there.

  SPEAKER_00: I want to interview anybody and everybody who want to be in the same boat as me.

  SPEAKER_00: Me, I want to be a successful entrepreneur.

  SPEAKER_00: I want to show people that you can be a successful successful entrepreneur while being a a full-time dad and work in the nine to five.

  SPEAKER_00: So the nine to five is pretty much h here to help fuel what we got going on outside of that, you know what I mean?

  SPEAKER_00: So like I also run a sneaker business called Clever Kicks.

  SPEAKER_00: I restore shoes and we're taking it to a whole new level with it.

  SPEAKER_00: It's pretty much honestly something I started in 2018, and 2018 was oh man, it was beautiful.

  SPEAKER_00: I honestly wanted to start a clothing brand, right?

  SPEAKER_00: And the clothing brand was I forgot the name of it exactly, but I was like, you know what, I wanna I wanna get into clothing.

  SPEAKER_00: So I got with my wife, and I was just like, yo, hey babe, look, listen.

  SPEAKER_00: So I love shoes, but I love clothes.

  SPEAKER_00: And I I wanna I wanna do both, but I but I know I do too much, so I just gotta pick one.

  SPEAKER_00: What do you think I'll have more success doing?

  SPEAKER_00: And she said, honestly, I don't.

  SPEAKER_00: Everybody wants to do t-shirts and clothes and stuff.

  SPEAKER_00: You should do sneakers.
• 4:46
  SPEAKER_00: So I was like, you know what?

  SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna go ahead, I'm gonna take that run with it.

  SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna listen to her.

  SPEAKER_00: So I listened to her.

  SPEAKER_00: And the next thing I know, I am pushing sneakers out left and right.

  SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm using the connections I have at work.

  SPEAKER_00: I have business cards, I'm spreading everywhere.

  SPEAKER_00: And a year later, I'm on my way to making almost a hundred thousand in a year.

  SPEAKER_00: Because I'm pushing it so hard during the pandemic.

  SPEAKER_00: Everybody wanted their shoes done, they were trading, pushing shoes.

  SPEAKER_00: I was collaboring with people.
• 5:19
  SPEAKER_00: My following was getting up there.
• 5:22
  SPEAKER_00: And I don't know, it was beautiful.

  SPEAKER_00: Like it was a fun moment, and my skill set just kept getting better and better and better and to where now I'm making a thousand dollars in a day every day, and I had nothing to worry about.

  SPEAKER_00: I literally was paying my bills with clever kicks.

  SPEAKER_00: Put that into perspective.
• 5:42
  SPEAKER_00: That's just the craziest thing.
• 5:44
  SPEAKER_00: So now, long story short, um I pretty much fell off from clever kicks a little bit and after the pandemic because there was a customer that wanted me to, you know, break the law.

  SPEAKER_00: During the pandemic, you couldn't cross the border and drop off shoes, and I wasn't able to at the time.

  SPEAKER_00: And so the pandemic did hinder me from traveling, but it was just wild because I got the shoes and then we got slapped with the no-travel thing.

  SPEAKER_00: And I was like, that's unfortunate.

  SPEAKER_00: Cause I don't want people to think I'm taking their shoes, you know.
• 6:17
  SPEAKER_00: So within the city, I was cool dropping off shoes, but outside of the city, I couldn't do nothing about it.

  SPEAKER_00: I couldn't even mail shoes.

  SPEAKER_00: So once the, you know, they lifted the travel ban or whatever, I got to him, gave him his shoes.

  SPEAKER_00: He loved them, but he wanted all his money back.

  SPEAKER_00: So all the good work, but also wanted his money back.

  SPEAKER_00: So I said no, and he shows me his gun.

  SPEAKER_00: Pulls a gun, and I stood ten toes.

  SPEAKER_00: I'm not making this up, y'all.

  SPEAKER_00: Ten toes.

  SPEAKER_00: I stood ten toes on it.

  SPEAKER_00: I wasn't gonna let nobody shake me from, you know, doing what I was supposed to be doing out here, but honestly, low-key, it really messed with my mental.

  SPEAKER_00: It messed with my mental real bad to the point where I ended up giving up clever kicks.

  SPEAKER_00: Fell hard, fell off all the way from clever kicks to where now we're building back up from ground zero and adding on to the skill set.

  SPEAKER_00: But now we're back and learning how to paint shoes, how to restore colors, how to change colors, whatnot, and revive really truly reviving the shoe, you know, to its truest form.

  SPEAKER_00: And I'm also learning how to break the shoe apart and put it back together.

  SPEAKER_00: Like those are the skill sets that I feel like are very necessary when it comes to, you know, restoring shoes.

  SPEAKER_00: So that's a little bit about me.

  SPEAKER_00: Um, I really again I re I appreciate the people who are listening in and supporting this this um podcast.

  SPEAKER_00: Um it's called more than success because everybody wants to hit more and do more and be more.

  SPEAKER_00: I want to be wealthy one day.

  SPEAKER_00: I ain't gonna lie.

  SPEAKER_00: Just get straight to it.

  SPEAKER_00: I want to be wealthy one day.

  SPEAKER_00: Now, what are we gonna do to get there?

  SPEAKER_00: We're gonna get there by putting in the work, being consistent, and trying our best to make sure that we utilize our tools.

  SPEAKER_00: Now, one of my downfalls, and honestly, I can be real with y'all, networking.

  SPEAKER_00: I suck at talking to people.
• 8:30
  SPEAKER_00: I I'm I feel like I'm born and destined to talk to people through podcasts, but talking to people in person is kind of like one of my weaknesses, and that's something that I'm working on.

  SPEAKER_00: So reaching out to people, talking to them, trying to get mentors and trying to scale up to the next level, that's what we'll be working on for the remainder of 2026 into 2027.

  SPEAKER_00: If you have that problem, use me, call me, talk to me, and I can do the same thing with you and reach out to you, and we can, you know, we can negotiate something, we can talk about something that we can help each other thrive.

  SPEAKER_00: So if you are a business owner, if you're someone who wants to literally kick the nine to five, be that entrepreneur, be that parent that wants to retire their family, because that's my goal.

  SPEAKER_00: I want to make sure that everybody has what they need, and I want to make sure that my church has everything they need.
