Rumors swirling about an early start to the 2026 school third term? The Ministry of Education and Sports has shut those down—officially confirming schools open Monday, September 14, 2026, for an 82-day term ending December 4, 2026. This calendar was already sent to all schools in November 2025, and any changes require written approval from the Permanent Secretary. Plus, boarding schools in Kampala, Wakiso, Mpigi, and Mukono are being asked to stagger entry and exit days to ease traffic. Bottom line: stick to the official date—no exceptions without permission.
