Speaker 2: I can't say your name before the fire Might not fit you in my mind.
• 0:45
Speaker 2: I mean, bro, you know what I'm saying, before we get into like actual basketball shit.
• 0:49
Speaker 2: Today my son graduated from the fifth.
• 0:53
Speaker 2: He moved on from the fifth grade.
• 0:54
Speaker 2: I keep saying graduated.
• 0:55
Speaker 2: He had a ceremony going from fifth to middle school and all I could keep replaying in my head is that I'm getting old.
• 1:02
Speaker 2: And I go back to when we just did this live fight in person.
• 1:06
  Speaker 2: I said I'm about to be 36.
• 1:07
Speaker 2: And then I said damn.
• 1:10
Speaker 2: And all day I've been looking at people like this nigga.
• 1:14
Speaker 2: I really said damn, bro.
• 1:16
Speaker 2: I said this about four times today.
• 1:17
Speaker 2: Like this nigga, I really said damn, and I'm not that old bro.
• 1:24
Speaker 2: First off, first off, don't damn me.
• 1:26
Speaker 2: Secondly, but I ain't gonna lie, I do feel old Now that I got Middle school, so it's different.
• 1:35
Speaker 2: But yeah, other than that, I'm sturdy.
• 1:37
Speaker 1: I mean I feel like you gotta be having A good day.
• 1:39
Speaker 1: Like I said, that was A absolutely Great game One for the Eastern Conference Finals.
• 1:45
  Speaker 1: Definitely blew.
• 1:45
Speaker 1: Great game won for the Eastern Conference Finals.
• 1:46
Speaker 1: Definitely blew the first game of the Western Conference Finals out of the water.
• 1:50
Speaker 1: But we will get to that later for a short bit.
• 1:53
Speaker 1: But we got to talk about this game won and since I have an Indiana Pacers fan and a New York Knicks fan who I will guarantee will be going at it for the majority of not only this podcast but the future podcast while this series is going on, I just want to get my thoughts first.
• 2:10
Speaker 1: I mean great game One.
• 2:11
Speaker 1: Indiana Pacers came out hot.
• 2:12
Speaker 1: I think they started out eight for eight, but you know how basketball is, that is not sustainable.
• 2:18
Speaker 1: The Knicks came back, they fought back and I feel like the Knicks pretty much dominated most of the game from the second quarter on to about what?
• 2:27
Speaker 1: Two minutes into the fourth quarter.
• 2:30
Speaker 1: To me there was two moments as I'm watching the game.
• 2:35
Speaker 1: I believe the Pacers are down four points and Jalen Brunson gets his fifth foul and he gets it with roughly ten minutes to go in the fourth quarter.
• 2:47
Speaker 1: And at this point I'm thinking, oh, pacers got it.
• 2:49
Speaker 1: All they got to do.
• 2:50
Speaker 1: Hey, brunson's on the, they got to hit him and hit him hard, while Brunson's on the bench with five fouls.
• 2:55
Speaker 1: But the exact opposite happened and the Knicks went on a 14-0 run and at that point I'm thinking it's over.
• 3:04
Speaker 1: Brunson was not on the court.
• 3:06
Speaker 1: Brunson comes back on the court and then for some reason the Indiana Pacers show back up, comes down.
• 3:15
Speaker 1: At one point it was 94-111.
• 3:17
Speaker 1: Aaron Neesmith turned into Steph Curry in a USA Olympic jersey as he's just shooting from any and everywhere.
• 3:26
Speaker 1: Brings him on back and you know they play the foul game a little bit.
• 3:30
Speaker 1: Tyrese gets the ball in clutch moment as they are down two.
• 3:35
Speaker 1: Looks like he's going for the two.
• 3:37
Speaker 1: He rushes back out to the three-point line, shoots it, it bounced up and it falls in and I'm thinking this is the greatest shot since the Kawhi Winner shot has happened.
• 3:47
Speaker 1: Turns out just to be a two, it's just to be a two, but the Pacers did finish him off in overtime to take to take the 138 to 135 lead.
• 4:00
Speaker 1: So before we get to the fan of the winning team, I want to ask DQ his thoughts of his New York Knicks and how they.
• 4:10
Speaker 1: I'm just going to say they kind of choked that one away in game one.
• 4:13
Speaker 1: What's your thoughts, man?
• 4:14
Speaker 1: How are you feeling?
• 4:18
Speaker 3: I'm feeling all right, man, the Pacers had to do all that to win.
• 4:24
  Speaker 3: I'm feeling alright.
• 4:25
  Speaker 3: That's not sustainable.
• 4:26
Speaker 3: All this lucky shit that be going on not sustainable.
• 4:30
Speaker 3: I don't see this happening again.
• 4:33
Speaker 1: Knicks in five okay, knicks in five.
• 4:36
Speaker 1: I think this game, this series, is going straight seven.
• 4:40
Speaker 1: Watching these two teams go back and forth, I want this thing to go to seven.
• 4:45
Speaker 1: Q, your team won, your team pulled it out.
• 4:49
Speaker 1: I know you was nervous, because I was nervous as a fan of neither one of these teams.
• 4:55
Speaker 1: I'm nervous watching this game.
• 4:57
Speaker 1: My heart is racing, but it was just that damn good of a game.
• 5:02
Speaker 2: Let's break down the game a little in depth, though.
• 5:05
Speaker 2: Right, like you said, when Brunson went out, you thinking this is time for the Pacers to attack.
• 5:13
  Speaker 2: And we didn't.
• 5:14
Speaker 2: We let OG get a couple shots, we let Big Purr get a couple shots, but before that, throughout the second half, shots, but before that, throughout the second half, indiana would.
• 5:28
Speaker 2: Yeah, throughout the second half and a little bit in the second quarter, indiana would get it down to a two-point lead, one-point lead, and every time we would do that, new York would stretch it right back out.
• 5:37
Speaker 2: Every time, new York would stretch it right back out.
• 5:39
Speaker 2: Every time we got within two or one points, new York would stretch it right out.
• 5:44
Speaker 2: And in my head I'm thinking like yo, we can't keep doing this, we're going to have to get over the hump.
• 5:54
Speaker 2: But the problem was we were starting baskets from New York.
• 5:55
Speaker 2: For most of this game, we attempted to start baskets with a team that's already up eight points, then 10 points, then 12 points.
• 6:01
Speaker 2: You can't continue to start baskets with a team like that.
• 6:03
Speaker 2: At some point you, you got to make stops.
• 6:08
  Speaker 2: We finally did.
• 6:09
  Speaker 2: We went on a 20-4, 20-2 run.
• 6:17
Speaker 2: Within the last two and some minutes of the game, we finally get stopped, we start hustling, we start attacking the ball, trying to get to the loose balls, and start playing hustle defense, which is what we have to do.
• 6:25
Speaker 2: Where was I at for the first three?
• 6:27
  Speaker 2: For the first?
• 6:28
Speaker 2: Basically, 44, 45 minutes of the game, 46 minutes.
• 6:32
Speaker 2: We didn't do that.
• 6:33
Speaker 2: I ain't going to go too far because I got some stuff I want to get off my chest.
• 6:39
Speaker 2: As far as hating, we can go.
• 6:43
Speaker 2: We can move past that.
• 6:46
Speaker 1: We can get there.
• 6:47
Speaker 1: Let's just go ahead and focus on finishing up on Game 1.
• 6:50
Speaker 1: Game 1 is probably one of the best games that I've seen in these playoffs, and there's been some great games in this playoffs.
• 6:58
Speaker 1: That's saying a lot, especially in the Eastern Conference part of the playoffs, but it's only Game 1.
• 7:08
Speaker 1: That's my, especially in the Eastern Conference Final Eastern Conference, eastern part of the playoffs, but it's only game one.
• 7:11
Speaker 1: That's my Great Woods series.
• 7:12
Speaker 1: You know that game one Next game could be a blowout.
• 7:15
  Speaker 1: Who knows?
• 7:15
Speaker 1: My question for you guys, though let's just call a spade a spade.
• 7:21
Speaker 1: The Knicks pretty much choked this one away.
• 7:23
Speaker 1: The momentum is in the Pacers, on the Pacers' side, dq, q.
• 7:29
Speaker 1: Do you guys think the Knicks could get that momentum back to their side, especially on game two, or do you think the Pacers can hold this?
• 7:38
Speaker 1: Because this is basically what happened.
• 7:41
Speaker 1: I feel what happened in the last round with both teams.
• 7:44
Speaker 1: Really, the Pacers beat the Cavs in Game 1 and Game 2, and they got that momentum and they never looked back.
• 7:51
Speaker 1: Same with the Knicks when they beat the Celtics.
• 7:52
Speaker 1: They beat them in Game 1 and Game 2, and they never looked back.
• 7:55
Speaker 1: So Game 2 is very important, I believe from my perspective, but how do you think that plays out in terms of the momentum?
• 8:04
  Speaker 1: Do?
• 8:09
Speaker 2: you think the Pacers can keep it or do you think the Knicks can get that back?
• 8:11
Speaker 2: So I mean, let's be fair, like you said, the Knicks is a good thing.
• 8:14
Speaker 2: We're not going to sit here and act like we're going to sweep the Knicks.
• 8:17
Speaker 2: So the theory of yeah, we got the momentum right now, but the momentum ends when that next game gets tipped off Because it's fresh, late.
• 8:31
Speaker 2: Okay, what happened happened?
• 8:32
  Speaker 2: Fresh, late.
• 8:33
Speaker 2: The momentum is whoever's going to win this game, who's going to start out hot?
• 8:38
Speaker 2: Only way momentum could carry and, like I talked about before with the Cleveland Cavaliers, we attempting to break souls.
• 8:45
Speaker 2: That's what we do.
• 8:45
Speaker 2: We try to run people to death.
• 8:46
Speaker 2: We attempting to break your soul.
• 8:49
Speaker 2: We attempting to break your spirit and where you at.
• 8:51
Speaker 2: Only way we're going to do that is if we go up on a 20-point lead to start out in the first half.
• 8:55
Speaker 2: I don't feel as if New York's going to allow us to go on one of those what we do with Cleveland.
• 9:06
Speaker 2: The game before was up at 41.
• 9:07
Speaker 2: New York ain't ready to do it.
• 9:09
Speaker 2: They gonna, they gonna, they gonna have to fight because they got dudes, they got some dogs on their team.
• 9:14
Speaker 2: So momentum yeah, we got it right now, until the next game gets tipped off.
• 9:20
Speaker 1: Thank you man, you, I think you, man, you're next, you think I can grab that momentum back.
• 9:28
  Speaker 3: I think they I agree with Q a little bit.
• 9:31
Speaker 3: Yeah, they had the momentum, but I mean, how much momentum is it really?
• 9:40
Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
• 9:41
Speaker 3: How much of that is momentum and how much of that is we won the game Like they was down the whole game, not the whole game, but for the most part of the game, like y'all had to damn shoot up in a knee-smith.
• 9:56
Speaker 3: Hey, I said to test that boy, didn't I say test him.
• 9:59
Speaker 3: I said to test him last series, d Smith, nimhard, any end on the team.
• 10:08
Speaker 3: You got an end in your name, bruh.
• 10:15
  Speaker 1: Halliburton, test them.
• 10:15
Speaker 1: Yeah, they might need to test Halliburton after that crazy shot at the end of the regular Good.
• 10:18
Speaker 3: I was trying to avoid for doing this.
• 10:20
Speaker 3: I'm going to go get that card out the car now.
• 10:23
Speaker 3: I'm going to put that card card out the car now.
• 10:25
Speaker 3: I'm going to put that card on him.
• 10:26
  Speaker 2: now.
• 10:26
  Speaker 2: Stop it, chill.
• 10:27
Speaker 2: We ain't got no problems over here.
• 10:28
Speaker 2: Look I ain't going to lie.
• 10:30
Speaker 2: Neesmith kept hitting them threes.
• 10:32
Speaker 2: All I kept doing was like Nick ball it in.
• 10:34
Speaker 2: That's what you want to do, don't nobody else want to?
• 10:37
Speaker 3: do it, nick, ball it in.
• 10:40
Speaker 3: He plays hard, like he's playing hard the whole game.
• 10:42
Speaker 3: He's telling Carlisle hey man, you need to challenge that.
• 10:45
Speaker 3: And Carlisle's like nigga, get back on defense.
• 10:49
Speaker 1: What are you doing?
• 10:50
Speaker 1: I'm glad you said that DQ, and I'm glad Rick Carlisle is the only.
• 10:54
Speaker 1: I feel like the rest of the coaches actually just listen to their players.
• 10:58
Speaker 1: It'd be a play that happens in the first five minutes of the first quarter.
• 11:01
Speaker 1: Now you're looking at their coach to challenge.
• 11:03
Speaker 1: You're like bro, it is the first quarter, first five minutes, don't worry about it.
• 11:08
Speaker 1: Rick Carlisle actually saved his challenge for the most opportune time.
• 11:12
Speaker 1: He needed it when they mattered the absolute most.
• 11:15
  Speaker 1: Credit to him.
• 11:17
Speaker 1: More coaches need to do that.
• 11:18
Speaker 1: More players need to stop just as soon as a player that doesn't go their way that probably could go the opposite way.
• 11:26
Speaker 1: They look to their coach to challenge.
• 11:27
Speaker 1: You only get one and you get another one unless you get it.
• 11:30
Speaker 1: So they got to treat them challenges more like gold, especially Draymond Green.
• 11:36
Speaker 1: He wants to challenge every single player.
• 11:38
Speaker 1: Man I know he's terrible to play with on the street ball court.
• 11:41
Speaker 1: He wants to argue about every call.
• 11:43
Speaker 1: Hey, let's just play ball.
• 11:46
Speaker 2: At some point like all right, bro, you're doing a lot of acting.
• 11:48
Speaker 2: Just come on, bro, let's just run it.
• 11:50
Speaker 2: We ain't even calling the fouls on you.
• 11:52
Speaker 2: No more Like, forget it.
• 11:58
Speaker 1: But another thing it was a bigger problem last year with the Knicks injuries, but I think it could be another problem last year with the Knicks injuries, but I think it could be another problem this year.
• 12:06
Speaker 1: I think this is a bad matchup for the Knicks.
• 12:09
Speaker 1: The reason why I picked the Pacers the Knicks is a fast pace, like you said.
• 12:14
Speaker 1: They want us to run you down to the ground.
• 12:16
Speaker 1: They're going to go about 8 to 10 deep on their bench.
• 12:21
Speaker 1: There's a lot of people that's going to come off the bench.
• 12:23
Speaker 1: There's going to be a lot of people that score.
• 12:25
Speaker 1: The Knicks is kind of the exact opposite.
• 12:26
Speaker 1: They are grinded out, nitty gritty, tough and they only go about seven deep on the bench.
• 12:32
Speaker 1: Now I will say Thibodeau, he did a little something.
• 12:36
Speaker 1: He went a little deeper in his bench than he usually does.
• 12:38
Speaker 1: Now they didn't play nothing but like a couple, couple seconds, like 30 seconds, but he did something that he doesn't usually do.
• 12:45
Speaker 1: I think he went about 8-9 deep.
• 12:48
Speaker 3: He had to, though he had the poor Cam, he had the poor Deuce.
• 12:51
Speaker 3: Yep, I mean, you got to go deeper than your 7-8.
• 12:58
Speaker 3: You got to go 9-10.
• 13:01
Speaker 1: Do you think Tom is going to do that for the rest of the season?
• 13:03
Speaker 1: Because I feel like with the team you're facing that's not a team you can only go 6-7 deep, with they going to run you to death and they going to go about 10.
• 13:13
Speaker 3: The Pacers are going 11 and we going 9.
• 13:15
Speaker 3: We going to have to go to our 11.
• 13:17
Speaker 3: I mean, our 11 is precious, achua that's the thing.
• 13:28
Speaker 2: Tim act like he got bums on his bench.
• 13:30
  Speaker 3: That's the thing.
• 13:31
Speaker 3: He always acted like that.
• 13:34
Speaker 2: But Precious ain't no bum.
• 13:36
Speaker 1: No, and Cam ain't no bum.
• 13:38
Speaker 1: He came in and did a little something too, Like why wasn't he playing more in the playoffs?
• 13:44
Speaker 1: Like come on now.
• 13:45
Speaker 2: Y'all got dudes that can give you 10 minutes a game and it's not going to mess it up.
• 13:50
Speaker 2: But, tibbs, don't do that.
• 13:52
Speaker 2: But you're going to have to do that, especially with Hank.
• 13:58
Speaker 3: When y'all pull y'all starters, we pull our starters.
• 14:02
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 14:03
Speaker 3: He's not going to do it, though the Pacers technically went.
• 14:05
Speaker 1: We pull a lot of starters.
• 14:05
Speaker 1: Yeah, he's not going to do it though.
• 14:05
Speaker 1: The Pacers technically went 10 deep and the Knicks the Knicks technically went 8 deep.
• 14:16
Speaker 1: But I did see Wright.
• 14:19
Speaker 1: He was the guy that only went in for like 36.
• 14:22
Speaker 2: Yeah, I was going to say, delon Wright only played.
• 14:23
Speaker 1: He only played for like 30.
• 14:24
Speaker 1: That was the give guy that only went in for like 30 seconds.
• 14:26
Speaker 3: Yeah, I was going to say DeLon Wright only played.
• 14:27
Speaker 3: He only played for like 30 seconds.
• 14:28
Speaker 3: That was to give campaign a break Because he was giving, because Brunson was in foul trouble.
• 14:37
Speaker 1: I think Tom has to go a little bit deeper on his bench to compete with the Pacers the way Tom likes to coach.
• 14:44
Speaker 1: This is the worst team to play, because they're going to run you to death and they're going to test your conditioning and they are very well conditioned up there in Indiana.
• 14:53
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what we do.
• 14:54
Speaker 2: That's what we, like I said, our attempt is to run you into the ground, attempt to break you up Because, in fact, like the Knicks was up, we brought it back down.
• 15:03
Speaker 2: We try to break people's spirits in those two.
• 15:06
Speaker 2: We never going to quit and then we're going to run you to death.
• 15:12
Speaker 2: I don't know where you're going next, but.
• 15:14
Speaker 2: I got to get my shit off.
• 15:16
Speaker 2: Go ahead, I got to get my shit off.
• 15:17
Speaker 2: Can I give you a minute First off.
• 15:20
  Speaker 2: Now it's turning.
• 15:20
Speaker 2: You're going to have to play better, just point blank.
• 15:24
Speaker 2: Mitchell Robinson is bodying everybody in the play.
• 15:26
Speaker 2: Give Mitchell Robinson his credit.
• 15:29
Speaker 2: He playing defense, he going on the switches and at her guard and the guards and doing a good job at it, as where normally that's Mal Cernan.
• 15:38
Speaker 2: You're going to have to play Bell.
• 15:39
Speaker 2: That's the thing number one.
• 15:43
Speaker 2: If Mitchell Robinson is getting all these offensive rebounds, god damn it, stop his ass.
• 15:48
Speaker 2: At least attempt shit.
• 15:49
Speaker 2: Like I've been saying quick, miles Turner, he's gonna play better.
• 15:55
Speaker 2: As much as I praise Miles Turner, everybody know I'm a big fan of Miles Turner because everybody hated on him because they wanted to keep Sabonis.
• 16:03
Speaker 2: But I was like well, you gotta keep Miles because he blocked shots and he knocked down three Sabonis.
• 16:08
  Speaker 2: Don't do that.
• 16:08
Speaker 2: Miles helps you space the floor.
• 16:10
Speaker 2: Miles, do what you're supposed to do and stop getting played off the court.
• 16:16
  Speaker 1: Yeah, he did.
• 16:16
Speaker 1: Miles did start off the game very, very hot, you know.
• 16:19
Speaker 1: Got to give him credit for that.
• 16:20
Speaker 2: And then he got to the fourth quarter.
• 16:26
Speaker 3: He heard her missing layups and shit.
• 16:27
Speaker 3: That's the thing He'll get to the back.
• 16:28
Speaker 3: He got to the second quarter.
• 16:28
Speaker 3: What you talking about, cat, was giving to him.
• 16:30
Speaker 2: Then Mal's a seven foot and then he'll get in the paint and he start.
• 16:34
Speaker 2: No, he got a smaller person on him and he start rushing.
• 16:38
Speaker 2: Don't rush, take your time.
• 16:40
Speaker 2: Take your time, dog, make them come double and they pass the ball out.
• 16:46
  Speaker 3: You.
• 16:46
Speaker 3: Let McHale lock you up, bumper you up.
• 16:50
Speaker 2: Bruh, he let Josh Horst 6'4", 6'5", 6'6", whatever he is, you make him lock you up because you rushing.
• 16:56
Speaker 2: It ain't that Josh Horst doing that, but you just rushing through missing wide open layups.
• 17:01
Speaker 2: I can't even get over Ob Obi Toppin for missing that dunk.
• 17:06
Speaker 2: That was a crazy dunk.
• 17:07
Speaker 2: He did make up for it.
• 17:08
Speaker 2: He made up for it, so you can't really say nothing to him.
• 17:10
Speaker 2: Being a shepherd you talked about playing a team.
• 17:13
Speaker 2: Being a shepherd playing towards the end of the fourth quarter, jalen Brunson's just like alright, out of all the dudes y'all got over there that can play defense, this is the one y'all pick.
• 17:23
Speaker 1: Nobody can guard Jalen Brunson.
• 17:25
  Speaker 2: It's true.
• 17:25
  Speaker 1: Nobody.
• 17:27
  Speaker 2: It's true, he's a foul.
• 17:29
Speaker 2: You know what DQ, what Bowline and column foul merchant?
• 17:32
Speaker 2: Does he just be getting fouls?
• 17:33
  Speaker 2: It's just whatever A merchant, A merchant.
• 17:40
Speaker 1: He might be a peddler, but he ain't no merchant.
• 17:41
Speaker 1: That would be great to talk about.
• 17:42
Speaker 1: But they could not keep Jalen Brunson out of the lane Anytime.
• 17:45
Speaker 1: He wanted to go to the lane.
• 17:46
Speaker 1: He was getting to the lane.
• 17:48
Speaker 2: Jalen Brunson looking at Ben Sherpa like all right, bro come on this is really what y'all doing now.
• 17:54
Speaker 2: All right, brunson's food, this is lunch all day.
• 17:56
Speaker 2: Back up down Early time.
• 17:58
Speaker 2: Back up down Early time, pick a row.
• 18:00
Speaker 2: And then looked at him like nah, bro, you ain't got it.
• 18:04
Speaker 2: Hey, bro, you ain't got it.
• 18:05
Speaker 2: I like Ben Shepard.
• 18:06
Speaker 2: Ben Shepard is cool to come in and be like you said that, tip man off the bench.
• 18:09
Speaker 2: But in the fourth quarter and you playing that dude, mr Clutch himself, you playing that dude.
• 18:16
Speaker 2: Nah, you're going to have to do better.
• 18:18
Speaker 2: I would prefer Neesmith be on him, but that's the thing.
• 18:22
Speaker 2: That means you putting Nemhard, which is like 6'3", on Bridges, which is like 6'8".
• 18:30
Speaker 2: Yeah, they had Halliburton growing them at one time.
• 18:33
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's my last thing, halliburton, at one point, your ass is going to have to play defense At some point in the fourth quarter when they go for that pick and roll.
• 18:42
Speaker 2: You're taller than Brunson.
• 18:44
Speaker 2: Look, just put your arms straight in the air.
• 18:47
Speaker 2: So just put your arms in the air and jump.
• 18:49
Speaker 2: Don't try to go for the ball, don't reach over, don't do that, just go like this.
• 18:56
Speaker 1: The Pacers had two back-to-back possessions where they fouled a three-point shooter.
• 19:01
Speaker 1: Just awful fouls too.
• 19:02
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the thing.
• 19:03
Speaker 2: That's neither here nor there.
• 19:06
Speaker 1: But I mean, we won the game, they won the game, but the Pacers did win the game.
• 19:09
Speaker 1: Congratulations to the Pacers for winning game one.
• 19:11
Speaker 1: Game two is on Friday, still in the garden.
• 19:17
Speaker 1: I'm just going to go ahead and ask you guys right now who y'all think going to pull it out in game two.
• 19:24
  Speaker 1: Hey, quentin.
• 19:25
Speaker 3: Realistically, I don't see us losing in the guard.
• 19:27
  Speaker 3: No more.
• 19:27
Speaker 3: The refs know they job.
• 19:29
Speaker 3: They know what to do from now on.
• 19:32
Speaker 1: The refs know they job.
• 19:35
Speaker 3: Look, we cheated in New York.
• 19:36
  Speaker 3: I ain't gonna hold you.
• 19:37
Speaker 3: We cheated in New York.
• 19:38
Speaker 3: At least this season we have been.
• 19:43

Speaker 2: Y'all winning't bro, y'all really haven't, bro, y'all winning games in New York.
• 19:49
Speaker 2: Y'all ain't getting cheated at these games.
• 19:51
  Speaker 2: Stop it.
• 19:51
  Speaker 3: All right.
• 19:52
Speaker 3: No, I'm saying we do cheat in New York.
• 19:54
Speaker 3: We cheat all the time, man.
• 19:55
Speaker 2: Oh, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, man, you admit the mixed team.
• 19:57
  Speaker 2: That's what I said.
• 20:01
Speaker 3: No, I'm saying in New York this season, I'm not saying the previous season, this season, for sure though, we be cheating like a motherfucker.
• 20:07
Speaker 2: Jalen Brunson be getting all these type of foul calls.
• 20:09
Speaker 2: Ain't nobody touching bro Bruh shit.
• 20:12
Speaker 3: Nah, bro, he be getting touched bro.
• 20:14
  Speaker 2: Clay, bro.
• 20:15
Speaker 2: He tripped and they called a foul.
• 20:17
Speaker 2: Nah, bro, you know what I'm talking about too.
• 20:20
Speaker 2: Bruh tripped on his own feet and they called a fail.
• 20:23
Speaker 2: Like, all right, this is what we doing, we, just we.
• 20:26
Speaker 2: Okay, that's what we doing.
• 20:27
Speaker 2: Him and SGA Boy, they be getting some fails that don't nobody be around, even his, he's playing his cousin.
• 20:34
Speaker 2: Yesterday Even his cousin was like come on, he didn't do, I didn't touch him.
• 20:38
Speaker 2: Game two I mean, let's be real, we got one on the road.
• 20:44
Speaker 2: New Game two I mean, let's be real, we got one on the road.
• 20:50
Speaker 2: New York's a very hostile place.
• 20:50
Speaker 2: I don't know if you're going to get two in a row.
• 20:54
  Speaker 2: I'm just saying.
• 20:55
Speaker 1: But yeah, I also have the Knicks winning game two.
• 20:58
Speaker 1: I have the Knicks winning game two, but I have this series going to seven.
• 21:03
Speaker 1: I want to say the pace is bad.
• 21:05
Speaker 1: I'm going to just hold off on my final thought.
• 21:08
Speaker 1: I'm going to wait until game.
• 21:09
Speaker 1: I really want to wait until game seven and see how it feels, but I just want to game seven for one, two.
• 21:14
Speaker 1: I think it's going to go to game seven.
• 21:19
  Speaker 2: Let's go ahead.
• 21:20
Speaker 2: Hold on what you mean?
• 21:21
Speaker 2: You want to wait until game seven.
• 21:23
Speaker 1: What I want to get to the bottom and see how I feel.
• 21:26
Speaker 2: Four minutes left to pick a winner.
• 21:27
Speaker 2: Whatever way you do it, bro, pick a winner.
• 21:31
  Speaker 1: I said Pacers.
• 21:32
Speaker 1: That's what my gut is telling me.
• 21:33
Speaker 1: But hey, I have the right to change my answer when game seven comes.
• 21:39
  Speaker 1: Go ahead.
• 21:42
Speaker 2: He's going to wait until game seven.
• 21:43
Speaker 3: with three seconds left Something about yeah, man, I'm going with the Pacers, we up back.
• 21:45
Speaker 2: Yeah, I knew the Pacers was going to do it the whole time.
• 21:49
  Speaker 1: I don't know who's going to win.
• 21:50
Speaker 1: I think the Pacers is going to win.
• 21:52
Speaker 1: I'm just not confident.
• 21:54
Speaker 3: Watching what I watch, I would think the Knicks should win.
• 21:58
Speaker 3: But hell, I mean the Pacers.
• 22:00
Speaker 3: Look, they must have got a leprechaun up there or something, I don't know they got something.
• 22:05
Speaker 1: They got something, but let's go ahead and stop here.
• 22:08
  Speaker 1: I think they're lucky.
• 22:09
Speaker 2: A lot of the faces is lucky nowadays.
• 22:12
Speaker 3: They keep doing the same and it's the same schematics every time.
• 22:17
  Speaker 3: Y'all down 15.
• 22:20
Speaker 3: Y'all hit a bunch of threes.
• 22:22
Speaker 3: Halliburton get the ball.
• 22:24
  Speaker 3: Boom.
• 22:25
Speaker 3: It happened every time.
• 22:27
Speaker 3: That's the game plan, but that's our fault that these teams can't close.
• 22:32
Speaker 2: They can't close the game.
• 22:34
Speaker 2: That's our fault that multiple teams can't close the game.
• 22:37
Speaker 2: Look like you said it's been the game plan.
• 22:41
Speaker 2: We've been doing it for multiple series.
• 22:43
Speaker 2: Ain't nobody else stopped to stop it?
• 22:46
Speaker 3: That's how it looks yeah.
• 22:47
Speaker 2: They be trying hell.
• 22:51
Speaker 3: And somehow you end up with Mr Thompson on Halliburton and he's hitting the choke symbol, thinking he closed the game.
• 22:57
Speaker 3: I know, nigga, your foot was on the line.
• 22:59
Speaker 3: You're doing too much, look, yeah, I didn't like yeah.
• 23:01
  Speaker 3: I liked it, but I didn't at the same time I I didn't like.
• 23:03
Speaker 3: yeah, I liked it, but I didn't at the same time I was about to say I did like it because you know you talking your shit, but your foot was on the line, like he was like oh shit, let me run back out here.
• 23:10
Speaker 3: Shit it's make, or?
• 23:13
Speaker 1: break, when I seen that the game was going overtime, I was like Tyrese, you got to win, you have to win.
• 23:19
Speaker 1: Yeah you got to win, but they won.
• 23:23
Speaker 1: It's going to be an iconic moment for years to come.
• 23:28
Speaker 1: He's going to be up there with Reggie Miller.
• 23:30
Speaker 1: Anytime they post Reggie Miller's choke celebration picture, they're going to post his right next to him Can we have a conversation, though Like a small one.
• 23:41
Speaker 3: What's up, don't say nothing crazy.
• 23:42
Speaker 3: I'm not going to say nothing crazy, I'm going to get on this body Go.
• 23:45
Speaker 2: Look, don't say nothing crazy.
• 23:46
Speaker 2: I'm not gonna say nothing crazy, I'm gonna get on this party go.
• 23:46
Speaker 3: They be saying look, they be talking about how Jason Tatum be doing all this, all this damn you know, dick riding and whatnot, trying to be you know somebody that he ain't.
• 23:55
  Speaker 3: What about Halliburton?
• 23:58
  Speaker 3: He?
• 23:59
Speaker 3: Ain't he being who he is.
• 24:00
Speaker 3: Is he being who he is?
• 24:02
Speaker 3: It's not like he wanna just be Reggie Miller at this point.
• 24:06
Speaker 1: That's the first time he's really done something similar to somebody he's wearing the Reggie Miller shirts doing everything I mean.
• 24:13
Speaker 1: I understand you playing for the franchise.
• 24:15
Speaker 1: I think that's just paying homage to the best player in the franchise.
• 24:17
Speaker 3: He's paying homage, okay, or is it super glazing?
• 24:24
Speaker 2: I mean, hold on, I don't think he's glazing, I think he like you know, reggie, calling the game.
• 24:32
Speaker 3: I mean this for you, big bruh, this for you.
• 24:36
  Speaker 2: Big homie.
• 24:37
  Speaker 2: Let's be real.
• 24:38
Speaker 2: No, you right, he know Reggie's over calling the game.
• 24:41
Speaker 2: That's why he did the choke serve.
• 24:42
Speaker 2: Yeah, you right, it's absolutely.
• 24:44
Speaker 2: But that's who he is, though.
• 24:47
Speaker 2: He's a confident dude, especially late in the game.
• 24:52
Speaker 3: where is daddy at man?
• 24:53
Speaker 3: Bring that nigga daddy up, that'll shake the table.
• 24:56
Speaker 2: Bro was on the court.
• 24:57
Speaker 2: Hey, bro, sit your ass down, shake the table after that shot first off, I thought I saw that I didn't know that was his dad.
• 25:05
Speaker 3: I was like damn that, look like that dude, look like gilly the kid.
• 25:09
Speaker 3: I wasn't sure if that was the daddy or not.
• 25:11
Speaker 2: If it, was what we bro.
• 25:13
Speaker 2: What are we doing?
• 25:13
  Speaker 2: Sit down somewhere.
• 25:15
Speaker 2: You already cautioned us, though.
• 25:19
Speaker 1: That's why he got in the game.
• 25:20
Speaker 3: I will tell you what I did.
• 25:21
Speaker 3: My highlight of the game even though we lost Cat, hit the three over Miles Turner and then tapped James Johnson in the chest.
• 25:30
Speaker 2: That's some heart you got to give him.
• 25:32
  Speaker 2: That.
• 25:32
  Speaker 2: That's some heart.
• 25:33
Speaker 3: I said damn boy.
• 25:35
Speaker 3: But they used to play together so I was like I respect that, that's some heart.
• 25:36
Speaker 3: I said damn boy.
• 25:36
Speaker 1: But you know they used to play together so I was like I respect them.
• 25:37
  Speaker 1: I mean, that's still.
• 25:38
Speaker 1: You know who that is.
• 25:39
  Speaker 1: That's a few people.
• 25:41
Speaker 1: You don't fight in the NBA.
• 25:43
Speaker 3: Nah, they played together in Minnesota.
• 25:44
  Speaker 3: It's all a little.
• 25:46
  Speaker 1: That's somebody I'm not antagonizing.
• 25:48
Speaker 3: He in street clothes, he ain't gonna do nothing.
• 25:50
Speaker 3: Nah, he ain't playing.
• 25:52
Speaker 1: Oh, he was playing, I could have sworn he had on a collar shirt, he playing, he just ain't playing.
• 25:59
Speaker 2: He just ain't playing.
• 26:00
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the best way to describe it.
• 26:05
  Speaker 1: He playing.
• 26:05
Speaker 1: He just ain't playing.
• 26:06
Speaker 1: But yeah, so game one in the books, game two Friday, but let's switch gears to the West Conference finals, which was boring.
• 26:12
Speaker 1: That man is shade he gets.
• 26:17
Speaker 1: I'm a Wade fan and I knew Wade got a crazy whistle, but Shea gets an insane whistle.
• 26:28
Speaker 1: The OKC thing honest to God, guys, I was watching it.
• 26:30
Speaker 1: Okc started to run away with it.
• 26:32
Speaker 1: I fell asleep on the game.
• 26:34
Speaker 1: I ain't even going to lie to y'all, I fell asleep on it.
• 26:36
Speaker 1: I woke up and realized, oh, okc won.
• 26:39
  Speaker 1: That's what it's looking like.
• 26:41
Speaker 1: More so, though, I do want to talk about OKC won 14-8.
• 26:46
Speaker 1: I do want to talk about Shea was officially announced the MVP.
• 26:51
Speaker 1: This was the latest they announced the MVP, for some odd reason, but they did.
• 26:56
  Speaker 1: Shea won MVP.
• 26:58
Speaker 1: Top three was Shea, jokic and Giannis.
• 27:01
Speaker 1: Your thoughts on the boring game one of the West Coast Finals and, more importantly, your thoughts on Shea officially being named the MVP of the NBA, being the third OKC player to do so, with Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant Q.
• 27:19
  Speaker 2: I mean, let's call it.
• 27:20
Speaker 2: We all knew he was the MVP.
• 27:23
Speaker 2: For the past couple weeks my son was like who you think will win the MVP?
• 27:27
  Speaker 2: It's Shay.
• 27:27
Speaker 2: They just ain't announced it yet I already know who's going to be the MVP.
• 27:30
Speaker 2: We knew who it was going to be.
• 27:31
Speaker 2: I do want to hear your perspective because you said you think it should be Joker I.
• 27:35
Speaker 2: I do want to hear your perspective because you said you think it should be Joker.
• 27:37
Speaker 2: I do want to hear why you say that I think it should have been SGA, because not only did he individually, but look where his team is.
• 27:45
Speaker 2: They had the number one record in the West by a good couple of games.
• 27:52
Speaker 2: Thoughts on game one.
• 27:53
Speaker 2: My biggest takeaway from game one is it ain't angled okay, it's the second time.
• 27:57
Speaker 2: Thoughts on game one.
• 27:57
Speaker 2: My biggest thought to take away from game one is is Ant ankle?
• 27:58
  Speaker 2: Okay?
• 27:58
Speaker 2: Because it's the second, second time Ant that came up limping on that ankle and he had to go back to the locker room.
• 28:05
Speaker 2: Did you see, when he came back from the locker room, he wasn't the same Ant.
• 28:10
Speaker 2: He wasn't the same he ain't had that bounce on that three, like he normally do, and then he quit attacking the basket.
• 28:15
Speaker 2: If Ant ain't 100%, minnesota can't win this game.
• 28:21
Speaker 2: They can't win this series without Ant being 100%.
• 28:23
  Speaker 2: I think that's without, I think that's.
• 28:25
Speaker 2: You know that ain't rocket science.
• 28:28
Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying, captain?
• 28:29
Speaker 2: Obvious right there that I just said that Julius Randle ball put up 20 points in the first half.
• 28:36
Speaker 2: Bro took like four shots in the second half.
• 28:42
  Speaker 1: I don't know what's that.
• 28:43
Speaker 1: If I'm hot, I'm coming out like a flamethrower in the second half too especially once you see Anangat.
• 28:50
Speaker 2: yeah, once you see Anangat.
• 28:52
Speaker 2: If you, julius Randle, like, alright, I'm the second best player on this team, let me go get the ball, let me go put up these baskets, let me try to carry us, let me try to carry us home.
• 29:01
Speaker 2: Hell, minnesota shot 53s.
• 29:03
Speaker 2: Y'all they playing that Boston game.
• 29:08
  Speaker 2: Y'all think 15 of them.
• 29:09
Speaker 2: Y'all probably should have not shot and drove to the basket in an attempt to get the foul.
• 29:13
Speaker 2: Yeah, I the basket and attempt to get the foul.
• 29:18
Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean hindsight, me in 2020, but I'm saying you shouldn't be shooting 53s and y'all knew y'all wasn't making it.
• 29:21
Speaker 2: Now, I think I would give Minnesota.
• 29:25
Speaker 2: Minnesota does have some hope.
• 29:28
Speaker 2: I think they was like one up.
• 29:31
Speaker 2: I forgot the stat.
• 29:32
Speaker 2: I was listening to Brian Winhart's name, the Hoop Collector.
• 29:37
Speaker 2: They had a bunch of open threes.
• 29:38
  Speaker 2: Minnesota did.
• 29:39
Speaker 2: They just weren't making it.
• 29:40
Speaker 2: So if they make some of those threes, the game might end up being different, but you wasn't making them.
• 29:45
Speaker 2: So I think you should have taken the basket.
• 29:48
Speaker 1: Yeah, let me just go ahead.
• 29:49
Speaker 1: Jokers won the MVP.
• 29:51
Speaker 1: I think Jokers should have won the MVP.
• 29:53
  Speaker 1: He averaged a triple-double.
• 29:54
Speaker 1: I think he's head and shoulders the best player in the league.
• 29:57
Speaker 1: It is to the point where it's like you can give it to him every year.
• 30:01
Speaker 1: But you know, the NBA sometimes is a yield-turn league.
• 30:06
Speaker 1: They did it with Joel.
• 30:08
Speaker 1: Shea is a deserving player.
• 30:10
Speaker 1: I just think he's playing in an era where there's someone head and shoulders better than him, which is Joker, in an era where someone's head and shoulders better than him, which is Joker.
• 30:16
Speaker 1: But everybody always talks about well, his team was the best, which granted they was.
• 30:24
Speaker 1: If that's the case, donovan Mitchell, from our perspective, should have got a lot more MVP love.
• 30:30
Speaker 1: Now, he did finish top five, fifth to be exact but if it's more so, your team's success Donovan Mitchell should have been getting a lot more love than what he did.
• 30:43
  Speaker 1: That's how I see it.
• 30:45
Speaker 1: But I'm not saying Shea shouldn't have won it.
• 30:47
Speaker 1: I just, if I was a voter, I would have voted for Joker and if you guys was interested in how the voting went, shea did receive 71 first placeplace votes, 29 second-place votes.
• 31:00
  Speaker 1: Joker received 29 first-place votes and 71 second-place votes.
• 31:06
Speaker 1: Nobody else received any first or second-place votes.
• 31:09
Speaker 1: Giannis received 88 third-place votes, jason Taylor received 11 third place votes and Donovan Mitchell received one third place vote.
• 31:20
Speaker 1: So that's how I lined up.
• 31:23
Speaker 1: But, like I said, if it's about a team success as well, Donovan Mitchell should have been a little bit higher on the MVP ladder board.
• 31:31
Speaker 1: Dq your thoughts on Shea winning MVP in that boring game one for the Western Conference Finals?
• 31:40
  Speaker 3: I wanted to.
• 31:40
Speaker 3: I wanted to see the you know Timberwolves do something besides lose.
• 31:46
Speaker 3: I had my money on them.
• 31:49
Speaker 3: I wanted to see the New York Minnesota matchup.
• 31:52
Speaker 3: You know y'all swap players woo, woo, woo.
• 31:54
Speaker 3: This is, this is the storyline.
• 31:55
Speaker 3: You know your coach'all swap players Woo, woo, woo.
• 31:56
Speaker 3: This is the storyline.
• 31:56
Speaker 3: You know your coach used to be their coach.
• 31:59
  Speaker 3: Blah, blah, blah.
• 32:01
Speaker 3: But man, ok, see, they're going to smack whoever come in front of them from here on out.
• 32:10
  Speaker 1: They might.
• 32:12
  Speaker 3: They got bodies.
• 32:13
Speaker 3: Now, like I said, the Knicks is pretty deep.
• 32:16
Speaker 3: I thought the Timberwolves was pretty deep.
• 32:20
Speaker 3: Okc is deep boy.
• 32:24
Speaker 3: What I say is three types of women in this world and OKC is that deep end boy.
• 32:33
Speaker 1: They definitely on that deep end.
• 32:34
Speaker 1: I do want to get you guys, before we get out here, the thoughts of how you want to put it.
• 32:40
Speaker 1: They call him the free throw merchant, the crazy whistle man Shay.
• 32:47
Speaker 1: He gets to the line and a lot of them fouls is nothing, he's just.
• 32:50
  Speaker 1: I don't know how he's doing it.
• 32:52
Speaker 1: I don't know what type of blackmail he has on some of these refs.
• 32:57
Speaker 1: He getting anything he wants, Anytime he looks like he's about to fall, he gets a whistle.
• 33:04
Speaker 1: Is that something you guys are a fan of?
• 33:06
Speaker 1: Do you think it's egregious?
• 33:08
Speaker 1: Because some people have been saying, like man, it's boring to watch, because every time you turn on the game he's at the free throw line shooting free throws.
• 33:15
Speaker 1: I don't want to watch somebody shoot free throws all game.
• 33:20
Speaker 2: You got to be a friend of him because Jalen do it all the time too.
• 33:24
Speaker 3: It's totally different, bro, he's not a fine merchant at all, bro.
• 33:28
Speaker 3: He does more scoring than from anywhere else besides the line.
• 33:33
Speaker 3: Shea took two shots and had 15 points yesterday.
• 33:40
Speaker 2: Brunson had 14 free throws tonight bro.
• 33:43
  Speaker 3: Tonight.
• 33:44
Speaker 3: It's every night, bro, I'm saying how many shots he put up 30?
• 33:50
  Speaker 3: , 40?
• 33:50
  Speaker 3: , what am?
• 33:51
Speaker 2: I going to do?
• 33:51
Speaker 2: Where am I peeing at?
• 33:53
Speaker 2: We going right now, every time, every night, how many fouls Brunson has, how many free throw shots he take.
• 34:00
Speaker 2: He does the same thing.
• 34:01
Speaker 2: And then we're going to compare it to SGA he does the same thing, they play the same way.
• 34:09
Speaker 2: So I know you a fan though.
• 34:12
Speaker 3: I don't necessarily care for SGA he ain't never been my band.
• 34:15
Speaker 3: He out there, move your body like a snake man.
• 34:20
Speaker 3: That's how he be getting, because he be contorting out there a bit.
• 34:23
Speaker 1: Jalen Brunson took 14 free throws tonight, and Mr Shea Gildress, alexander, he also took 14 free throws.
• 34:35
Speaker 1: So you know, pretty, even, pretty, even Alexander, he also took 14 free throws.
• 34:41
Speaker 2: So you know pretty even, pretty even.
• 34:45
Speaker 3: They play the same way, that's crazy.
• 34:46
Speaker 3: I'm just calling house, I mean I'm saying but Brunson looked like man, he looked like AI and Chris Paul had a baby man.
• 34:53
  Speaker 2: No, he don't, Don't Stop.
• 34:58
Speaker 1: That is a wild statement.
• 34:59
Speaker 1: He is not a floor general like Chris Paul.
• 35:01
Speaker 2: That's my biggest the AI stuff.
• 35:03
Speaker 2: I can see it.
• 35:06
Speaker 2: I don't see the Chris Paul.
• 35:07
Speaker 2: He can get you six, seven, he can get you seven, but nah, I wouldn't call him a floor general.
• 35:16
Speaker 1: No, he's not a floor general.
• 35:17
Speaker 1: I don't know why you came up with that, but that's from your perspective, chris Paul.
• 35:21
Speaker 1: No, that's from your perspective, quag.
• 35:23
Speaker 3: It's because Chris Paul and AI had a baby.
• 35:27
Speaker 3: You take a game from each one, okay.
• 35:30
Speaker 1: He's not even okay From my perspective.
• 35:31
Speaker 1: He's not even close to Chris Paul, Not even close.
• 35:34
  Speaker 2: I feel what you're saying.
• 35:35
Speaker 2: You take a little bit and you put it in, they mix them together and that's what you come out with.
• 35:40
  Speaker 2: I feel what you're saying.
• 35:41
Speaker 2: I just Okay, if not Chris Paul, then who?
• 35:48
Speaker 2: I can see the AI.
• 35:49
Speaker 2: I can see the AI.
• 35:52
Speaker 3: I didn't want to say AI and Derrick Rose, because that's too similar to me.
• 35:57
Speaker 2: Yeah, he ain't got the athleticism that D Rose be.
• 35:59
  Speaker 2: Obviously.
• 36:00
Speaker 2: He's like I don't want to say Prime Derrick Williams to me.
• 36:04
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's why I said Derrick Williams, because he could do, he was similar to Chris Powell, but just wasn't as good.
• 36:10
Speaker 2: No shame, then again.
• 36:13
Speaker 1: Derrick Williams used his.
• 36:13
Speaker 1: It was very shame he didn't get it, derrick.
• 36:15
  Speaker 3: Williams used his.
• 36:15
Speaker 3: It was very cheap.
• 36:16
Speaker 1: He wasn't tall, but he was a bigger body and was able to get to the lane.
• 36:19
Speaker 1: That's how Jalen Brunson is he's not tall, but he's a bigger body, able to slid his way through the lane and get to the lane.
• 36:26
  Speaker 1: That's yeah.
• 36:27
Speaker 2: I see Derrick Williams and AI mixed together and that's what you come out with A solid player.
• 36:33
Speaker 2: But, and you know, throw a little sprinkle of that little James Horton hunt for the foul, because you got Taylor Preston, a little AI, a little Darren Williams and a little sprinkle of that James Horton hunt for the foul.
• 36:48
Speaker 2: Boom, there, you got Taylor Preston.
• 36:50
Speaker 3: Shout out to Sam Preston.
• 36:51
Speaker 3: He got him another MVP on his belt.
• 36:54
Speaker 1: Yeah, shout out, but he probably needs.
• 36:57
Speaker 1: He wants him on the championship, though he do but think about the drafts he had.
• 37:03
Speaker 2: He drafted James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant, Jeff Green, Serge Ibaka.
• 37:09
Speaker 2: Like he done, drafted a bunch of dudes.
• 37:12
Speaker 2: Imagine SGA was drafted by the club when they got traded there for Steelers.
• 37:17
Speaker 3: But he got rid of weak-ass, damn Paul George.
• 37:19
Speaker 3: He said man, I'll give you Paul George, I'll give you Paul George for SGA Clippers I think Clippers, I think, was going to get the better of that deal Apparently not.
• 37:29
Speaker 2: They did not who ain't getting a good deal, philly.
