- 0:35Speaker 1: The Voice of God Mike is officially off.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Ryan's hair is extra crazy. Crystal informed him that look crazy.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Everyone is crazier, so he made it even more musky.
- 0:48Speaker 3: All right, So that was what did we clock in
- 0:50Speaker 3: at our fifty Yeah.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Calling it you know.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Actually the threat was sort of effective because it's some
- 0:55Speaker 2: inspecations for going to a midnight So when he wrapped
- 0:57Speaker 2: up abruptly at eleven PMO.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Yeah, like, okay, all right, it's not so not so
- 1:02Speaker 3: bad overall, purpose very long speech. However, it's easily going
- 1:06Speaker 3: to be the longest State of the Union probably in
- 1:08Speaker 3: American history, at least in terms of the one that
- 1:11Speaker 3: has been delivered. Lots of stuff that eventually came up.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Started off largely on economics, transition to an Olympic love vest,
- 1:19Speaker 3: for about ten minutes there on hockey, and then very
- 1:22Speaker 3: typical of what we warned about on State of the Union,
- 1:25Speaker 3: a lot of box checking. Everything was bullet points. You
- 1:27Speaker 3: had the immigration section, you had voter ID, there was
- 1:31Speaker 3: some stuff on foreign policy. We're going to start with
- 1:33Speaker 3: that there in a second. Then kind of wrapping it up,
- 1:36Speaker 3: lots of metals. The sound guy here he goes, is it.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Normal to hand out so many medals in a State
- 1:41Speaker 1: of the Union. Were like, no, it's not normal.
- 1:43Speaker 4: But you know, fifty of the speech was like various awards.
- 1:46Speaker 1: A very large percent of the speech was handing out I'm.
- 1:50Speaker 5: Gonna make sure I'm gonna make an annoying point.
- 1:52Speaker 6: Have you followed the Withering Heights discourse about how it's a.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Movie for BP You got, yeah, yeah, okay.
- 2:00Speaker 5: It's a movie for TikTok.
- 2:01Speaker 6: I mean you're stringing all of these scenes together because
- 2:03Speaker 6: you want them to become part of the clip universe.
- 2:06Speaker 5: Okay, that's what say the unions.
- 2:07Speaker 6: Are now because you're trying to check a box for
- 2:09Speaker 6: every different cohort and then you know it's going to
- 2:12Speaker 6: get targeted in this place, in this place, in this place.
- 2:14Speaker 6: And so that's why the speeches, I think, at least
- 2:16Speaker 6: from Trump's perspective, are getting longer, because then you have
- 2:19Speaker 6: more like you can put the metal softly.
- 2:22Speaker 1: I like that point a lot. That's it's not even.
- 2:24Speaker 4: Really meant to be right, to be consumed as all cohesive.
- 2:27Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 2:27Speaker 5: I kind of confirmed it also with somebody with.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Oh really, see that's actually very interesting.
- 2:31Speaker 3: It actually makes it helps because you know, watching it
- 2:34Speaker 3: in full, you're like, oh my god.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Man, please, But I mean, none of that was really
- 2:39Speaker 2: super Yeah.
- 2:40Speaker 4: There were no moments.
- 2:41Speaker 2: I mean, we we grab some clips, we'll show you
- 2:43Speaker 2: some clips, but there was really literally nothing that I
- 2:45Speaker 2: was like, oh, that's going to be right, that's.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Nothing super interesting.
- 2:49Speaker 6: But he got his hockey moment, he had his Arina
- 2:51Speaker 6: z Ritzka's parents, he had all of the different veterans
- 2:55Speaker 6: that those will go into the veterans.
- 2:56Speaker 3: If you asked me what those most viral from that speeches,
- 2:58Speaker 3: probably hockey, right. Also because totistically people only well, let's
- 3:02Speaker 3: think timing people are our fifty. The vast majority of
- 3:05Speaker 3: people who watch, it's only going to be the first
- 3:06Speaker 3: fifteen to twenty minutes before thirty.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Know, Like I mean, I guess it's like sort of
- 3:12Speaker 2: a controversy. But the things that usually go viral is
- 3:15Speaker 2: where there's some sort of.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Oh, I didn't mean controversy. I mean because people were like, oh, great,
- 3:19Speaker 3: the hockey team is there. That's really all.
- 3:21Speaker 6: It was heckled by Ilhan Omar and then I'm treamed
- 3:24Speaker 6: in and said you should be ashamed of yourself.
- 3:26Speaker 3: That will probably be she yelled at him about Epstein.
- 3:29Speaker 3: We'll get to it. We don't have that clip exactly,
- 3:31Speaker 3: but by far what we were all looking for going
- 3:33Speaker 3: into the speech was Iran, and we got a very
- 3:36Speaker 3: limited section on Iran. So we've gone ahead and pulled it.
- 3:39Speaker 3: So control and please cube that up. As I lead
- 3:41Speaker 3: into it, there was some expectations, some speculation. People were worried,
- 3:44Speaker 3: oh my god, are we gonna announce that we're going
- 3:46Speaker 3: to war with Iran tonight.
- 3:47Speaker 1: That's not really how it worked.
- 3:48Speaker 3: There was even some you know, I even thought I said,
- 3:51Speaker 3: maybe it's going to lay out a deadline like a
- 3:53Speaker 3: declaration ultimatum of some kind.
- 3:55Speaker 1: It was extremely generic.
- 3:57Speaker 3: She's saying that Iran has not yet said the sacred
- 4:01Speaker 3: words that they will not pursue a nuclear weapon. Not true,
- 4:04Speaker 3: which Ryan will debunk on the other side. But guys,
- 4:07Speaker 3: if we can go ahead and play at the iron
- 4:09Speaker 3: section from the speech, and then we'll react on the
- 4:11Speaker 3: other side.
- 4:12Speaker 8: As president, I will make peace wherever I can, but
- 4:15Speaker 8: I will never hesitate to confront threats to America wherever
- 4:19Speaker 8: we must. That's why, in a breakthrough operation last yearn
- 4:24Speaker 8: the United States military obliterated Rand's nuclear weapons program with
- 4:29Speaker 8: an attack on a Radian soil known as Operation Midnight Hammer.
- 4:35Speaker 8: After Midnight Hammer, they were warned to make no future
- 4:39Speaker 8: attempts to rebuild their weapons program, in a particular nuclear weapons.
- 4:45Speaker 8: Yet they continue starting it all over. We wiped it out,
- 4:49Speaker 8: and they want to start all over again, and at
- 4:52Speaker 8: this moment again pursuing their sinister ambitions. We are in
- 4:57Speaker 8: negotiations with them. They want to make a deal, but
- 4:59Speaker 8: we haven't. We heard those secret words. We will never
- 5:03Speaker 8: have a nuclear weapon.
- 5:07Speaker 3: So a couple of things they're saying after midnight hammer
- 5:09Speaker 3: that they have tried to restart their program. No evidence
- 5:13Speaker 3: of that, literally whatsoever? You know, let's where's the DNI.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Are they even going to trot out some fake intel?
- 5:18Speaker 3: And then Ryan, if you want to redo your fact
- 5:21Speaker 3: check on that latter part, perhaps you can right now.
- 5:24Speaker 9: So foreign ministers say at Arakchi today, yeah, literally today
- 5:28Speaker 9: before the speech actually, so they could have included this
- 5:31Speaker 9: if they wanted to. Arachi said, quote, our fundamental convictions
- 5:36Speaker 9: are crystal clear colon. Iran will under no circumstances ever
- 5:42Speaker 9: develop a nuclear weapon. Now, when it comes to like
- 5:46Speaker 9: diplomatics speak, oftentimes they try to leave some like wiggle
- 5:51Speaker 9: room for interpretation. But Iran will, under no circumstances ever
- 5:56Speaker 9: develop a nuclear weapon.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Rights, not a lot of not a lot of wiggle room.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Bear, It's like, what else do we want?
- 6:03Speaker 8: You know?
- 6:03Speaker 3: I mean they put it on official letterhead and have
- 6:07Speaker 3: the Ayatola sign it. Then then but of course we
- 6:10Speaker 3: all know then the goalposts will. Oh, but they didn't
- 6:12Speaker 3: address ballistic missiles. But they didn't address the what else? Oh,
- 6:15Speaker 3: they didn't address regional proc which is fake. It's like, yeah,
- 6:18Speaker 3: which regional proxy we're talking about? Syria were talking about Lebanon,
- 6:21Speaker 3: which water commanding.
- 6:22Speaker 9: So this this is definitely the first time in American
- 6:25Speaker 9: history that a president has declared victory and celebrated his
- 6:31Speaker 9: achievement of annihilating a foe at the same time that
- 6:35Speaker 9: he's promising to re annihilate fo true.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Have you seen the White House press release going around
- 6:40Speaker 3: about how it back in June after midnight hammer Emily
- 6:43Speaker 3: where they're like Iranian nuclear facilities obliterated. Any any speculation
- 6:49Speaker 3: that it's wasn't true is insult.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Yeah, to the White House.
- 6:54Speaker 6: I was gonna say a little bit of breaking news,
- 6:56Speaker 6: not on arambat on Venezuela. I just got a statement
- 6:59Speaker 6: from a War Department of official because I asked them
- 7:01Speaker 6: about it yesterday's Yeah, well, I was told I was
- 7:06Speaker 6: told I could attribute it to a War Department of
- 7:09Speaker 6: so on Venezuela. I had asked who they targeted yesterday specifically.
- 7:13Speaker 5: Now they had a.
- 7:14Speaker 6: Big guest come out Venezuela. Wise in the middle of
- 7:16Speaker 6: the State of the Union, made a big deal about it. Uh,
- 7:19Speaker 6: they will not tell me what group was targeted yesterday.
- 7:22Speaker 6: They're setting quote uquote operations security in the boat or
- 7:25Speaker 6: on land or the land or the boat strike yesterday.
- 7:29Speaker 5: So this gets to us to Iran.
- 7:31Speaker 6: You have this contradiction of we annihilated the nuclear site
- 7:35Speaker 6: and yet now we need to strike Iran again.
- 7:37Speaker 5: And the same thing with Venezuela.
- 7:39Speaker 6: We have annihilated the threat of Maduro who is directing
- 7:42Speaker 6: Trenda Arragua, and the director running the country says, to
- 7:48Speaker 6: protect operations security in our forces, we will not discuss
- 7:51Speaker 6: specific groups, targets.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Orgolog By the way, Trump in his State of the
- 7:54Speaker 3: Union called Venezuela new friend and partner. So we are
- 7:57Speaker 3: now bombing our new friends, bombing our new and part
- 8:00Speaker 3: of the Kilda morele like, just again, the Iran section
- 8:04Speaker 3: of this is going to be the most important, and
- 8:06Speaker 3: it was incredibly vague. There was no time that was
- 8:09Speaker 3: added to it. The post about the so called claim
- 8:12Speaker 3: around they haven't said the sacred words. It's like, again,
- 8:15Speaker 3: I don't know what else could happen here, but this
- 8:18Speaker 3: is going to.
- 8:19Speaker 4: Be very disappointed that the case wasn't made right.
- 8:21Speaker 3: Well, if people did not watch are pre Coosh, if
- 8:24Speaker 3: people did not watch our pre show into the State
- 8:26Speaker 3: of the Union, there was this pathetic effort by Mark
- 8:30Speaker 3: Warner and Senator Chuck Schumer, who were like, oh, well,
- 8:34Speaker 3: a lot of crazy stuff, said the president really needs
- 8:37Speaker 3: to make his case to the American people.
- 8:38Speaker 1: It came, I mean, I don't have the time stamp.
- 8:40Speaker 3: What was an hour fifteen, probably so far into the
- 8:43Speaker 3: vast majority of.
- 8:43Speaker 1: People had already turned it off.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Only professional news folks like us are even watching there
- 8:47Speaker 3: at that point barely, I mean almost a minute maybe
- 8:51Speaker 3: on Iran I would say ninety seconds, fifteen to twenty
- 8:54Speaker 3: seconds there on the Russian and Ukraine war. It was
- 8:57Speaker 3: minuscule I think in terms of the I'm actual part
- 9:01Speaker 3: of this speech, but it was.
- 9:02Speaker 1: The number one thing that we were all looking for.
- 9:04Speaker 3: So unfortunately we can't really add a ton of commentary,
- 9:07Speaker 3: so accepted to say what he's what he's claiming is
- 9:09Speaker 3: not really true.
- 9:10Speaker 1: So in terms of his demand.
- 9:11Speaker 9: So this this martyr made post that came out, yeah,
- 9:14Speaker 9: three or four hours ago. What can we so this
- 9:18Speaker 9: is what's his name, Daryl like huge podcaster? He what
- 9:24Speaker 9: can we make of this? Can we talk about this
- 9:27Speaker 9: at all?
- 9:27Speaker 1: Like? Yeah, it's public?
- 9:29Speaker 9: I mean, how to pull up?
- 9:31Speaker 4: Here's what he said?
- 9:31Speaker 2: He said, Trump has been quartered his options as he
- 9:35Speaker 2: sees them, are to start a war with Iran on
- 9:37Speaker 2: something like our own terms, or to be dragged into
- 9:39Speaker 2: it at a time in the manner of Israel's choosing,
- 9:42Speaker 2: the third option, telling Israel to fight their own war,
- 9:44Speaker 2: is not on the table because he believes that if
- 9:46Speaker 2: he does that Israel will use nuclear weapons and he
- 9:51Speaker 2: and members of his family will be in physical danger.
- 9:54Speaker 2: I'm not totally sure why these two things are tied together,
- 9:57Speaker 2: but anyway, The rest of the post says the military
- 9:59Speaker 2: build up has had three purposes. First, he hoped that
- 10:01Speaker 2: Iran would capitulate and submit to an agreement strong enough
- 10:04Speaker 2: to calm the Israelis down for the time being fanciful. Second,
- 10:08Speaker 2: to have enough forces to deal with the fallout if
- 10:10Speaker 2: Israel attacks and Iran retali it's against American bases and allies.
- 10:13Speaker 2: And finally, to potentially strike first and at least be
- 10:16Speaker 2: able to control the first phase of combat. The talk
- 10:19Speaker 2: of limited strikes reflects his hope that Aron can be
- 10:22Speaker 2: intimidated into buckling because Trump generally does not want war.
- 10:25Speaker 4: That's where we're at.
- 10:26Speaker 2: I've never prayed for a politician or government before, but
- 10:28Speaker 2: I prayed for Trump for the first time.
- 10:29Speaker 4: Innstry you should too. So that's what he's saying based
- 10:32Speaker 4: on whoever.
- 10:33Speaker 6: He is obviously close to Tcker Carl Soon.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you know.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Look what I will say is I heard something similar
- 10:41Speaker 3: in terms of what Donald I mean, Look, I alluded
- 10:43Speaker 3: to it earlier in our show Crystal, is that Israel's
- 10:45Speaker 3: fundamentally in control of the dynamic. When we talk about
- 10:48Speaker 3: the Pentagon will deep frustration with the United State, of
- 10:51Speaker 3: the deep frustration within the White House right now. And
- 10:54Speaker 3: again I'm not excusing this, I'm explaining kind of the
- 10:56Speaker 3: view is well, Israel may do it or not, and
- 10:59Speaker 3: if they do it, then we're going to get sucked in,
- 11:01Speaker 3: so we might as try well try to control the dynamic.
- 11:03Speaker 3: But what this ignores, what happens if you this is
- 11:06Speaker 3: the problem, is that it ignores and the third option,
- 11:09Speaker 3: the actual option, which is, hey, tell Israel not to
- 11:11Speaker 3: do it and decide that we're going to get them up.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Say hey, if you do like, we're not going to
- 11:16Speaker 2: continue to sell you weapons. We are not going to
- 11:18Speaker 2: be there to make sure that you don't get hit
- 11:21Speaker 2: when there is Iranian retaliation. I mean, the threat of
- 11:25Speaker 2: nukes here is so insane, and let's keep in mind,
- 11:29Speaker 2: like Israel doesn't, you know, supposed to be still a
- 11:30Speaker 2: secret that they have nuclear weapons. But there's all this
- 11:33Speaker 2: concern about Iran getting a nuclear weapon, Like you have
- 11:37Speaker 2: this psychoerogue regime in Middle East already that is supposed
- 11:41Speaker 2: to be our client state, and they're out here basically
- 11:44Speaker 2: like low key threatening US that they're going to start
- 11:46Speaker 2: some sort of nuclear conflagration if they don't.
- 11:48Speaker 4: Get their way.
- 11:49Speaker 3: So I don't think we should ignore in that State
- 11:50Speaker 3: of the Union speech that Trump literally said Iran is
- 11:52Speaker 3: trying to create an ICBM capable of hitting the United States.
- 11:56Speaker 3: I know we're living in a poster like can we
- 11:58Speaker 3: get some evidence of that at all, because that would actually,
- 12:00Speaker 3: you know.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Be a game changer. No, it's fake, right, it's literally
- 12:03Speaker 1: made up? Is that? Oh they had regional ballistic missile threats?
- 12:06Speaker 1: He set Europe in our bases.
- 12:08Speaker 3: I think we all know who he's talking about whenever
- 12:09Speaker 3: it comes to regional But they're trying to frame it
- 12:13Speaker 3: very Irock War style of like, oh, well, first it's
- 12:15Speaker 3: Europe and our but now.
- 12:16Speaker 1: They're developing this in what did Steve what Cough say.
- 12:19Speaker 3: They're weeks away from an industrial grade bomb which, as
- 12:23Speaker 3: our producer Mac points out, isn't literally every state bomb
- 12:26Speaker 3: and industrial grade bomb, like he can't create a bomb.
- 12:29Speaker 9: He was using the wrong term, which goes to your
- 12:31Speaker 9: point about like not having like not remotely experts, like
- 12:35Speaker 9: using basic terms wrong. I'm not an expert, but no,
- 12:38Speaker 9: industrial is not the right term. The weapons grade is
- 12:40Speaker 9: what he's trying to And of.
- 12:41Speaker 6: Course the goalpost in June was absolutely had to do
- 12:44Speaker 6: this because of their nuclear capacity. It was specifically the
- 12:47Speaker 6: threat of nuclear imminence coming from Irong.
- 12:51Speaker 5: So this is it's in disagreement with their own argument
- 12:54Speaker 5: in June.
- 12:54Speaker 9: Yeah, and when he says that his family would be
- 12:58Speaker 9: at risk, I feel like that's code for his family
- 13:02Speaker 9: is vulnerable on a lot of levels. When it comes
- 13:04Speaker 9: to that, you could expose things about the more they have,
- 13:07Speaker 9: like business relationships that could be jeopardized. I don't think
- 13:11Speaker 9: that Israel is going to go out and kill them, Like,
- 13:15Speaker 9: I just don't. I'm sorry, that's that's not like, Yeah, but.
- 13:17Speaker 3: If I had told you Israel would nuke them, like, dude,
- 13:20Speaker 3: there is a serious part. There's a serious thought here
- 13:22Speaker 3: in Washington that they actually would that they really would
- 13:25Speaker 3: use I mean considering what has now happened with Gaza.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Now the gloves are so at seven countries models in
- 13:31Speaker 3: two years.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Say in different things, Oh, okay, you're totally bought into
- 13:35Speaker 2: the idea they would new Gharan. Oh you don't believe
- 13:37Speaker 2: they would assassinate Trump and his family. However, this is
- 13:40Speaker 2: where the Epstein files kind of a play, don't they.
- 13:43Speaker 2: I mean, this is the thing, This is why this
- 13:46Speaker 2: the revel What we the little bit we know is
- 13:49Speaker 2: so important to understand, Like what do the Israelis know?
- 13:53Speaker 2: What is Trump think the Israeli's no, what is he
- 13:55Speaker 2: concerned about? Because we can say without a shadow of
- 13:58Speaker 2: a doubt that he is worried about what is in
- 14:01Speaker 2: these files in their entirety. Look at the treatment of
- 14:04Speaker 2: Glene Maxwell getting moved in the club veed or getting
- 14:07Speaker 2: a puppy and treating the warden like her bitch. He
- 14:10Speaker 2: is worried about some things that are in there, and
- 14:13Speaker 2: he has to assume the Israelis know about that. So
- 14:16Speaker 2: when some of these pieces don't add up of like okay,
- 14:19Speaker 2: well if they attack Iron, why are we getting sucked
- 14:21Speaker 2: into it? And how does this put you in danger?
- 14:23Speaker 2: You have to put the Epstein factor into that as well.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean not just but that business, like you
- 14:28Speaker 3: just said, the business relationships of everything.
- 14:31Speaker 9: I mean, because they're not independent.
- 14:33Speaker 3: These are all non in Yeah, exactly, not exactly independent.
- 14:36Speaker 3: I don't want to get too far down the around rabbit,
- 14:38Speaker 3: but I still believe, I mean, this is the number
- 14:39Speaker 3: one most important part in the.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Story in the entire country.
- 14:42Speaker 3: And yeah, even within the state of the if anything,
- 14:45Speaker 3: actually not having a State of the Union. There was
- 14:48Speaker 3: no flagship proposal, right, there was really it was really
- 14:50Speaker 3: it was a lot of box checking and if you
- 14:53Speaker 3: guys want, we can turn to the economy. The first
- 14:55Speaker 3: fifteen minutes or so was basically a retread the greatest
- 14:58Speaker 3: economy in history.
- 14:59Speaker 4: I have ware great and.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Up and roaring economy is roaring like never before.
- 15:06Speaker 3: Right, mortgage rates, new construction jobs, largest taxis affordability. They
- 15:11Speaker 3: said caused and created. They said, Democrats caused and created
- 15:14Speaker 3: the prices. You caused that problem. We did pick up
- 15:17Speaker 3: though that. The White House is obviously very you know zoom,
- 15:21Speaker 3: They're very paying attention, I think to some of the
- 15:24Speaker 3: populous issues that we've highlighted here in our show, and
- 15:26Speaker 3: there were three of them, all in a row data centers.
- 15:29Speaker 3: Number one, two was stock ban, and three was about
- 15:33Speaker 3: banning these private equity groups from owning large swats of housing.
- 15:37Speaker 3: So we actually have a clip here on data centers.
- 15:40Speaker 3: It was kind of the more populous section, if you will,
- 15:43Speaker 3: of the State of the Union.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Let's take a listen.
- 15:45Speaker 7: Many Americans are also concerned that energy demand from AI
- 15:49Speaker 7: data centers could unfairly drive up their electric utility bills.
- 15:54Speaker 8: Tonight, I'm pleased to announce that I have negotiated the
- 15:57Speaker 8: new rate payer protection.
- 16:00Speaker 7: You know what that is.
- 16:02Speaker 8: We're telling the major tech companies that they have the
- 16:05Speaker 8: obligation to provide for their own power needs.
- 16:07Speaker 7: They can build their own power plants as part of their.
- 16:10Speaker 8: Factory so that no one's prices will go up, and
- 16:14Speaker 8: in many cases, prices of electricity will go down for
- 16:17Speaker 8: the community, and very substantially down. This is a unique
- 16:21Speaker 8: strategy never used in this country before.
- 16:24Speaker 7: We have an old grid that could never.
- 16:25Speaker 8: Handle the kind of numbers, the amount of electricity that's needed.
- 16:29Speaker 8: So I'm telling them they can build their own plant.
- 16:32Speaker 8: They're going to produce their own electricity. It will ensure
- 16:35Speaker 8: the company's ability to get electricity well at the same
- 16:38Speaker 8: time lowering prices of electricity for you and could be
- 16:42Speaker 8: very substantial for all of you cities and towns. You're
- 16:45Speaker 8: going to see some good things happen over the next
- 16:48Speaker 8: number of years.
- 16:49Speaker 3: By the way, that was clearly that was immediately followed
- 16:52Speaker 3: by the private equity discussion and then by the Congressional
- 16:54Speaker 3: stock brate trading ban, all issues that have been bubbling
- 16:57Speaker 3: up online now as usual, devil's in the details.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Is it going to happen?
- 17:03Speaker 3: This is a rate pledge allegedly privately agreed to by companies.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Where's the fact sheet? Are they actually going to do it?
- 17:09Speaker 3: Is this going to be national policy?
- 17:11Speaker 1: Now?
- 17:11Speaker 3: Part of the what have we learned about the data
- 17:13Speaker 3: center fight? Data centers is a state and a local issue.
- 17:15Speaker 3: Is every state in local locality actually going to be
- 17:17Speaker 3: able to agree with this?
- 17:19Speaker 10: Right?
- 17:19Speaker 3: So I'm very doubtful that this will actually become national policy.
- 17:22Speaker 3: But for me, this is a reminder that they can
- 17:25Speaker 3: see some of the writing on the wall. And despite
- 17:26Speaker 3: the first fifteen minutes or so, which was very much
- 17:29Speaker 3: like we're in the roaring economy, everything is Biden's fault.
- 17:32Speaker 3: That was a mid term section where they're like we
- 17:34Speaker 3: need to reclaim. But let's some ground here. There was
- 17:36Speaker 3: no credit card interest rate cap, which I did take
- 17:38Speaker 3: notice of.
- 17:38Speaker 9: That interesting, Yeah, let's talk about whether that was actually
- 17:41Speaker 9: good politics or whether this guy is living in a bubble. So, Crystal,
- 17:44Speaker 9: you live in a rural area, come to royal people
- 17:46Speaker 9: and say, you know what, I want to build a
- 17:47Speaker 9: data center. People like Now you come to them, say
- 17:51Speaker 9: I want to build a data center and right next
- 17:53Speaker 9: to it a power plant. Are they more excited or
- 17:56Speaker 9: less excited?
- 17:57Speaker 4: It's exactly what.
- 17:58Speaker 2: I was saying when there were sayings, but sort of
- 18:00Speaker 2: irrelevant because I view it as a fake proposal any right, Like.
- 18:02Speaker 9: We're lying about the power st right.
- 18:04Speaker 4: I mean, I think it's a fake proposal.
- 18:06Speaker 2: I think it's a you know, attempt to recognize like
- 18:09Speaker 2: they recognize as a problem for them. It's a real rub,
- 18:13Speaker 2: you know, in areas where they have a lot of support.
- 18:16Speaker 2: There was a I think a New York Times article
- 18:19Speaker 2: about some Trump supporters who were like, eh, like what
- 18:21Speaker 2: he's doing on but this data center stuff is really bad,
- 18:23Speaker 2: Like this is a major issue for them. They clearly
- 18:25Speaker 2: have recognized it. The reason I say it's a fake
- 18:27Speaker 2: proposal is this is not something you can do with
- 18:29Speaker 2: an executive order.
- 18:31Speaker 4: And so you're gonna know and think of what we're
- 18:33Speaker 4: really talking about.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Okay, you're going to mandate tech companies to build power plants,
- 18:38Speaker 2: a business they're not actually in, and they're all in
- 18:43Speaker 2: this race to spin up as many data centers as
- 18:46Speaker 2: fast as they can. And it's no holds barred in
- 18:48Speaker 2: terms of like complete deregulation. And now you're going to
- 18:52Speaker 2: add into this like and also you're gonna bul I mean,
- 18:53Speaker 2: it's just it's there's no way if the if the
- 18:56Speaker 2: government was going to get involved and like build out
- 18:58Speaker 2: these power plans or whatever. Maybe, but but yeah, there's
- 19:03Speaker 2: this would be something that would have to go through Congress.
- 19:05Speaker 4: It would have to be a major proposal. All of that.
- 19:08Speaker 4: You would require.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Significant compulsion from the federal government to get these AI
- 19:13Speaker 2: companies to do it.
- 19:14Speaker 4: So I just see it as.
- 19:15Speaker 9: We have the IRA still effect them one thing, but
- 19:18Speaker 9: that's somebody.
- 19:20Speaker 6: Yeah, but that's I mean, the way that Trump could
- 19:22Speaker 6: get compulsion is because all of these CEOs and companies
- 19:27Speaker 6: are rushing to get his affection and be lavished in
- 19:30Speaker 6: his prize.
- 19:31Speaker 1: And all that. That's why I get the way he
- 19:32Speaker 1: was selling it. He's like they've agreed to a rape.
- 19:35Speaker 6: Again exactly, we're framing it as other under his thumb,
- 19:37Speaker 6: which just somethings that they are. But to the point
- 19:39Speaker 6: that Crystal made it's it's a lot of money.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Well, it reminds me of you know, we were talking
- 19:43Speaker 2: about the Maha stuff, which we really should talk more
- 19:45Speaker 2: about because it's you know, that was an important part
- 19:47Speaker 2: of his coalition and not a lot of the speech.
- 19:49Speaker 4: Yeah, basically nothing in the speech.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Remember he did that whole like, oh, the food companies
- 19:55Speaker 2: decided they're just going to voluntarily get all the artificial
- 19:58Speaker 2: colors and preserve ont of their foot Well that just
- 20:01Speaker 2: got quietly rolled back.
- 20:02Speaker 4: So you know, once business is like, uh, no things they're.
- 20:05Speaker 5: On fire over the Glacis State stuf.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Yeah, the Glacys say, thing is and we.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Should be because you know, I mean, the there were
- 20:11Speaker 2: tens I think tens of thousands of claims against Monsanto
- 20:14Speaker 2: now there over roundup and the you know, link to cancer,
- 20:18Speaker 2: and to do this and to then use the Defense
- 20:22Speaker 2: Production Act to spend the stuff, I mean, it really is,
- 20:24Speaker 2: it really is grotesque, and it truly is a betrayal
- 20:27Speaker 2: and to see if RFK Junior just turn around and
- 20:29Speaker 2: rubber stamp and say, yeah, great, I approve of it.
- 20:31Speaker 3: Is well, he made it about the supply you know,
- 20:34Speaker 3: not to get too off track, but they made it
- 20:35Speaker 3: about the supply chain thing. But everyone was like, yo, dude,
- 20:38Speaker 3: in the same executive order, you give them immunity.
- 20:40Speaker 1: It's like, that's what we're set up, and that's what
- 20:42Speaker 1: you should be upset about. Right, that's the whole thing.
- 20:43Speaker 1: That's like as anti ma as it gets.
- 20:46Speaker 3: So look, you know, we're just trying to frame it
- 20:48Speaker 3: in terms of they they see a big political problem.
- 20:52Speaker 1: They spent a lot of time.
- 20:53Speaker 3: We had the data center thing, We had the mortgage rates.
- 20:56Speaker 3: There was a discussion what is the lowest mortgage rate
- 20:58Speaker 3: in a couple of years. They were talking about rent prices,
- 21:01Speaker 3: so affordability. While it was you know, it's not nearly
- 21:05Speaker 3: enough at the top as it should have been. Because
- 21:07Speaker 3: if you think, as I always talk about with State
- 21:09Speaker 3: of the Unions, people only watch like fifteen thirty minutes,
- 21:11Speaker 3: So when you're like forty five to fifty sixty minutes
- 21:13Speaker 3: or something into a speech, like you're going way down,
- 21:16Speaker 3: like not a lot of people are going to hear this.
- 21:18Speaker 3: To me, it felt very box check, and it is
- 21:21Speaker 3: a preview what I think is going to be their
- 21:22Speaker 3: mid term affordability strategy like going forward.
- 21:25Speaker 6: So we should say this was actually officially now it
- 21:28Speaker 6: was an hour and forty seven minutes. So that is
- 21:29Speaker 6: the longest State of the Union on record. Second was
- 21:31Speaker 6: Trump's joint address last year, which doesn't technically count as
- 21:34Speaker 6: the State of the Union, but before that, Bill Clinton
- 21:36Speaker 6: State of the Union in two thousand was the longest.
- 21:39Speaker 5: It was an hour and twenty eight minutes.
- 21:40Speaker 6: Gotcha, so significant, which people melt significantly longer, totally twenty
- 21:44Speaker 6: minutes longer.
- 21:45Speaker 4: We had standards.
- 21:45Speaker 3: I mean, it was insanely we had stand I abruptly,
- 21:48Speaker 3: this speech was very long, like you know your weathering
- 21:50Speaker 3: heights point is very good. Like it was really not
- 21:53Speaker 3: a cohesive speech, Like it really was just a clip
- 21:56Speaker 3: Clinton Clifton.
- 21:57Speaker 9: College, then promise I did not want.
- 21:59Speaker 1: But they're all like this.
- 22:00Speaker 2: I feel like, in fairness, they are all kind of
- 22:02Speaker 2: like it's hard to like check all those boxes and
- 22:05Speaker 2: string some sort of narrative together.
- 22:06Speaker 4: But yeah, there didn't even seem to really be an episode.
- 22:09Speaker 5: And yeah, it's trying to make moments.
- 22:10Speaker 4: That even another award.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Yeah, it's all trying to create individual moments, you know,
- 22:15Speaker 2: on the economic front, like we are, we are in
- 22:19Speaker 2: enough of a dire uncertain circumstance with regard to the
- 22:23Speaker 2: economy that even if some of these proposals were real,
- 22:27Speaker 2: these kind of like gimmicky one off proposals are just
- 22:30Speaker 2: not sufficient. Right, even if the credit card interest rate
- 22:33Speaker 2: thing was in here, which it wasn't, and he's clearly
- 22:36Speaker 2: just like abandoned that that would be something. But it's
- 22:38Speaker 2: not like people are going to see that and be like, oh,
- 22:40Speaker 2: my life has turned around and now I have hope
- 22:42Speaker 2: for the future. They're still going to be worried about AI,
- 22:44Speaker 2: which you know at this point in time. Okay, you
- 22:46Speaker 2: talked about the data centers, but to not talk about
- 22:48Speaker 2: any of like the labor kids, of any of the
- 22:50Speaker 2: other stuff that's going on with AI. When this is
- 22:52Speaker 2: a central like this is the central economic growth policy
- 22:56Speaker 2: that your administration is pursuing, I think is I mean,
- 22:59Speaker 2: I think it's incredibly negligent.
- 23:01Speaker 5: To me.
- 23:02Speaker 4: It's very noteworthy.
- 23:03Speaker 2: They he spent a lot of time you brought this
- 23:06Speaker 2: up soccer he didn't talk about ice.
- 23:08Speaker 3: Yeah, so I tweeted it just to make sure I'm
- 23:11Speaker 3: not getting fact checked. There was not a single mention
- 23:14Speaker 3: of a lot of about immigration.
- 23:16Speaker 2: There were some big you know, some of his big
- 23:18Speaker 2: moments with the base were on immigration, et cetera. And
- 23:22Speaker 2: I think they still feel like that, and I think
- 23:24Speaker 2: it is still some of their stronger ground. But you know,
- 23:27Speaker 2: he's now underwater significantly on immigration too. So the one
- 23:31Speaker 2: area the well that he could always go back to,
- 23:33Speaker 2: even that's not a reliable winner for him outside of
- 23:37Speaker 2: his committed followers.
- 23:46Speaker 3: Do we have the immigration segment? Just come into my
- 23:48Speaker 3: ear and tell me if we do. Yeah, okay, So
- 23:51Speaker 3: why don't we go ahead and play that. This is
- 23:53Speaker 3: going to be, you know, the biggest one that you're
- 23:55Speaker 3: going to see, you know, going around for a lot
- 23:58Speaker 3: of the Republicans.
- 23:59Speaker 1: For the reaction Trump, what did he say?
- 24:02Speaker 3: He's like, stand up if you think Americans should only
- 24:05Speaker 3: serve the interest of Americans. It's set off some confrontation,
- 24:08Speaker 3: and ilhan Omar shouted at him, which led to some heckling.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Let's take a listen in that shame.
- 24:14Speaker 7: You should be ashamed of yourself not standing up. He
- 24:17Speaker 7: should be ashamed of yourself.
- 24:20Speaker 10: That is why I'm also asking you to end deadly
- 24:24Speaker 10: sanctuary cities that protect the criminals and enact serious penalties
- 24:29Speaker 10: for public officials who block.
- 24:31Speaker 7: The removal of criminal lands.
- 24:34Speaker 11: In many cases, drug lords, murders all over our country.
- 24:38Speaker 11: They're blocking the removal of these people out of our country,
- 24:43Speaker 11: and you should be ashamed of your Say.
- 24:47Speaker 3: There's your juxtaposition. You got ill Hans who was shouting,
- 24:49Speaker 3: you have killed Americans. He's saying, don't stand, please stand
- 24:53Speaker 3: if you've had your moment.
- 24:54Speaker 1: But I will say, if you listen to.
- 24:55Speaker 9: Them, should fact it's basically, oh, sorry, go ahead, he
- 24:59Speaker 9: has killed a ma oh, ok, thank you, Ryan, thank
- 25:01Speaker 9: you for that fact check.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Well he personally over he ordered, oh you want to
- 25:05Speaker 1: get that killed the button?
- 25:07Speaker 6: You know.
- 25:07Speaker 3: To the point about rhetoric, the word ice was not uttered,
- 25:10Speaker 3: The word CBP was not uttered. The new funding for
- 25:13Speaker 3: the dhs UH in terms of like the Big Ice,
- 25:16Speaker 3: funding for the original bill was not discussed. The only
- 25:18Speaker 3: mention of the Big Beautiful Bill was about corporate tax cut.
- 25:21Speaker 3: If you think specifically about immigration and the way that
- 25:26Speaker 3: it was talked about, it was very twenty twenty five
- 25:29Speaker 3: it was all about open border and it was about
- 25:31Speaker 3: specific victims. There was no mention whatsoever of Minneapolis, of
- 25:36Speaker 3: Los Angeles, of any of the major rags that have
- 25:39Speaker 3: happened across the country.
- 25:40Speaker 2: There was mention in Minneapolis, right, but about exactly and
- 25:44Speaker 2: which I mean is noteworthy for what you're saying. But
- 25:48Speaker 2: also he did this whole like O.
- 25:49Speaker 7: JD.
- 25:49Speaker 4: Vans is going to be the bizarre of like finding
- 25:51Speaker 4: fraud and corruption.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Whatever I mean interesting, Yeah, which is interesting, and I
- 25:55Speaker 2: want to get your your thoughts on that, But it's
- 25:56Speaker 2: also like that was the whole pretext for you going
- 25:59Speaker 2: in the minut Annapolis. So if you're going to find
- 26:01Speaker 2: all this fraud, what were you people doing there?
- 26:03Speaker 4: Like obviously that was.
- 26:05Speaker 3: Completely but if you read into the politics of that,
- 26:08Speaker 3: they're going right back to the twenty twenty four to
- 26:10Speaker 3: twenty twenty five case of we have no more which
- 26:13Speaker 3: is true. You know, they shut the border down, Okay,
- 26:14Speaker 3: so there's no more illegal migrants were coming across the border.
- 26:17Speaker 3: But the case about mastery portit the word mass deportation
- 26:20Speaker 3: wasn't uttered. The singular campaign message which literally was behind
- 26:23Speaker 3: Donald Trump whenever he accepted the nomination at the twenty
- 26:27Speaker 3: twenty four RNC.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Ice was not discussed CBP. I mean, yeah, homen right,
- 26:33Speaker 1: pink that he's in Homan for some time. Sorry, all right,
- 26:37Speaker 1: all right, Paul I heard, Yeah, that's what I heard.
- 26:40Speaker 3: I was like, yeah, okay, sorry, this is a classic
- 26:43Speaker 3: Evily situation.
- 26:44Speaker 5: Sorry, but you know, thinking.
- 26:47Speaker 3: Just thinking generally about the way that they had to
- 26:50Speaker 3: frame it on immigration, that was a loss to me
- 26:53Speaker 3: considering how much they have now political capital that they
- 26:57Speaker 3: have spent on the issue. Nothing about Minneapolis, Los Angeles,
- 27:01Speaker 3: any of the major surges that have dominated the headlines. Yeah,
- 27:05Speaker 3: I mean, that's honestly shocking if you consider that, if
- 27:08Speaker 3: you were to go on Twitter, or if you were
- 27:09Speaker 3: to go and look at the communications of the White
- 27:11Speaker 3: House on a daily basis for the last what three months,
- 27:13Speaker 3: I mean, Minneapolis, immigration, ice and all that's number two
- 27:17Speaker 3: of those.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Oh my god, it's everywhere, and there's barely anything in
- 27:21Speaker 1: the speech.
- 27:21Speaker 5: I agree with that.
- 27:22Speaker 6: I think the lack of ICE is significant. I think
- 27:24Speaker 6: that moment is a win for Trump. I also think
- 27:27Speaker 6: it's a win for illan Omar. I think him saying
- 27:30Speaker 6: you should be ashamed, and then ill Haanomar coming back
- 27:32Speaker 6: and saying, no, you should be ashamed that.
- 27:34Speaker 1: I think is dollars. By the end of the day,
- 27:36Speaker 1: I agree completely with that, but.
- 27:39Speaker 6: It also is like with it reminds me of where
- 27:41Speaker 6: we were a year ago, which was everyone talking about
- 27:44Speaker 6: Ice Christinome and Doge right. And the Jdvance point is
- 27:49Speaker 6: interesting because we're talking about fraud and rooting it out
- 27:52Speaker 6: of government last year, all under the auspices of Elon
- 27:54Speaker 6: Musk's operation and Doge so much fun, everything's great, and
- 27:59Speaker 6: now JDVCE has potentially been turned into the Kamala Harris
- 28:02Speaker 6: borders are a fraud, meaning fraud that happens after JD
- 28:06Speaker 6: Vance has been figured as the frauds are Yeah.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Is now going to He made this point live. I
- 28:12Speaker 1: thought it was genius. I genuinely did not.
- 28:14Speaker 3: It did not click for me, you know, to elaborate more,
- 28:16Speaker 3: what you're saying is that if you're Jared Kushner and
- 28:19Speaker 3: Steve Wikoff and all these other guys, all these crazy
- 28:22Speaker 3: deals and crypto and the party and all this, and
- 28:25Speaker 3: it's like, well, you were theizar a fraud. It's like,
- 28:28Speaker 3: why did you you know the binance? Did you guys
- 28:30Speaker 3: see this Binance story recently. But the CEO and he
- 28:33Speaker 3: got pardoned, and then they just facilitated a bunch of
- 28:36Speaker 3: money to like Iranian you know, around Iranian sanctions using cryptos.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Mean it's totally nuts.
- 28:43Speaker 9: Another point on top of what Emily is saying, maybe
- 28:48Speaker 9: you guys disagree with me, maybe not, this is the
- 28:50Speaker 9: most corrupt administration, Like okay, maybe some grand grant.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Tea pot that's not let's say I could care.
- 28:58Speaker 9: The reason this is the most grew up because it's
- 29:01Speaker 9: the entire Senate in Congress and grant like during the teapot,
- 29:06Speaker 9: don't like they're all they're all trading, like it's the whole.
- 29:09Speaker 9: It's all rotten all the way through. Right now, the
- 29:12Speaker 9: White House is far and away leading the charge on
- 29:17Speaker 9: this crypto level of corruption like this getting the Aliens,
- 29:21Speaker 9: getting the UA to buy half of their crypto thing,
- 29:23Speaker 9: then going to Pakistan and telling them they got to
- 29:25Speaker 9: put in a billion dollars and these guys have to
- 29:27Speaker 9: put in a billion. You got you got to put
- 29:28Speaker 9: a billions? Like whereas members of Congress aren't there yet,
- 29:32Speaker 9: maybe give us five years.
- 29:34Speaker 1: They're on a smaller scale, but not even close to this.
- 29:37Speaker 9: But yeah, that's so, there's so there's so much more
- 29:39Speaker 9: corrupt than even the average like Washington politician. And then
- 29:44Speaker 9: you're gonna say that JD. Vance is the one who's
- 29:46Speaker 9: the sheriff on all of this. If Democrats take control
- 29:50Speaker 9: of the House, we're gonna have, you know, some interesting hearings.
- 29:54Speaker 9: We're gonna get a lot of interesting information about the
- 29:56Speaker 9: stuff that's gone on the last couple of years, and
- 29:59Speaker 9: you'll be able to lay that the foot of Sheriff JD. Vance, like, hey,
- 30:01Speaker 9: weren't you the corruptions are what happened?
- 30:03Speaker 6: Who is also supposed to not balance the budget? Trump
- 30:06Speaker 6: said that jd would root up fraud in the service
- 30:08Speaker 6: of balancing the budget. So it's like the classic deep.
- 30:15Speaker 4: All right, good luck, buddy.
- 30:17Speaker 1: I mean you remember what Biden gave Kamala What immigration
- 30:19Speaker 1: and what else?
- 30:20Speaker 9: The border? Yeah, not just immigration, but actually the border, right,
- 30:24Speaker 9: and she was like do not come Yeah, yeah, I
- 30:27Speaker 9: got nothing else? Then what also gun safety? Which like
- 30:33Speaker 9: they were not passing anything on that, like there was
- 30:35Speaker 9: they were doing nothing on guns. So they're like, Kamala,
- 30:38Speaker 9: you do guns. And then when it was very clear
- 30:40Speaker 9: that they weren't going to do anything on voting rights.
- 30:42Speaker 9: They were like, Kamala, you take voting rights. So it's
- 30:45Speaker 9: like you just whatever, you are not going to get done,
- 30:49Speaker 9: and it is going to get worse. You give to
- 30:51Speaker 9: the person you don't like. So that's not great for JD.
- 30:54Speaker 1: Vance a good point.
- 30:56Speaker 7: He did not have to do that.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Genuinely about that, I think it is important.
- 31:00Speaker 3: But you know, in terms of reading into the tea
- 31:02Speaker 3: leaves of everything, speech starts out, economy is good, it's
- 31:07Speaker 3: all the Democrats fault. Then we have our Team USA
- 31:10Speaker 3: hockey moment. Then we get yeah, which lasted more than
- 31:13Speaker 3: to Look, I love Team USA, but a man ten
- 31:15Speaker 3: minutes is too long, all right, And so then we
- 31:17Speaker 3: get into what the more populous economics stuff. We have
- 31:21Speaker 3: a couple of throwaway lines, one big beautiful bill that
- 31:24Speaker 3: was looking the time speech by the way, right, So yeah, affordability.
- 31:28Speaker 4: To here original assessment that, Yeah, I agree.
- 31:32Speaker 3: I mean, look, yeah, if you if you listen to
- 31:34Speaker 3: the speech, we're gonna have a few clips and then
- 31:37Speaker 3: that's it. And what's kind of interesting is even Trump
- 31:40Speaker 3: is not really trying to make this a big deal.
- 31:42Speaker 3: We were talking this morning about how big of a
- 31:43Speaker 3: deal the state of the unions were under Obama, and
- 31:46Speaker 3: remember they would have like a big theme and be
- 31:48Speaker 3: like save American jobs, and then the president would go
- 31:51Speaker 3: on a bus tour for fifty They're not even pretending now,
- 31:53Speaker 3: They're like, yeah, Trump will be in Texas on Friday
- 31:55Speaker 3: for a different event, and Iran will be back in
- 31:58Speaker 3: the news tomorrow something like that. You know, we're we're
- 32:01Speaker 3: trying to piece if anything, what we just saw was
- 32:04Speaker 3: a political view into the mind of the White House
- 32:07Speaker 3: of Okay, ice is a problem. We need to make
- 32:09Speaker 3: immigration much more like twenty twenty five, twenty twenty four
- 32:12Speaker 3: than it is twenty twenty six.
- 32:15Speaker 4: On that there were a bunch of administration officials who
- 32:18Speaker 4: got shout owns. Christie Domes, Stephen Miller not come home
- 32:21Speaker 4: and yeah, one of those points, I didn't even see Christine.
- 32:25Speaker 3: So yeah, I mean, by my account, we had Secretary
- 32:29Speaker 3: Beston Rubio, Yeah, the vice president.
- 32:32Speaker 1: That's it.
- 32:32Speaker 4: Well you gott the shed, Jared Kushner and see what
- 32:35Speaker 4: of course, you know whatever.
- 32:36Speaker 9: They are, but yeah, everybody loves Rubio. Yeah, got a
- 32:39Speaker 9: hundred percent.
- 32:40Speaker 1: Everywhere you got a hundred yeah, thank you, thank you, everybody.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Sure by parts of ship is alive and well and one.
- 32:44Speaker 2: But I mean, you know how much Christie Nome loves
- 32:46Speaker 2: the spotlight, so to avoid oh my gosh, there's probably.
- 32:50Speaker 5: Steaming one of the how many cabinet members at this
- 32:52Speaker 5: time last year?
- 32:53Speaker 4: Yeah, that's right.
- 32:54Speaker 2: So I'm just you know, in terms of the internal politics,
- 32:57Speaker 2: who's up, who's down, I think that's kind of noteworthy.
- 33:00Speaker 2: But you know, in terms of like political impact, I
- 33:02Speaker 2: don't think it's gonna matter at all. The most consequential
- 33:06Speaker 2: part is that we did get a little bit on terrorists,
- 33:09Speaker 2: but nothing again that was really different from what they've been.
- 33:11Speaker 3: Nothing noteworthy. Didn't even attack COTUS. That could have been
- 33:14Speaker 3: a viral moment. That could have been something we could
- 33:16Speaker 3: have all talked about. Right, he didn't even really go out.
- 33:18Speaker 3: He was like, it was very disappointing, and he looked
- 33:20Speaker 3: right at him. He's very disappointing.
- 33:21Speaker 1: He just moved on. There was nothing.
- 33:23Speaker 4: We did have a fun zoron.
- 33:25Speaker 1: Yes we have that.
- 33:26Speaker 2: We have that, guys, should we go ahead and play?
- 33:28Speaker 2: I actually I actually stepped down during this, So I'm.
- 33:30Speaker 1: Watch this one's about voter ID.
- 33:32Speaker 3: So the leading theme I'll explain the lead in was
- 33:35Speaker 3: Trump was called what's he called the Save Is it
- 33:37Speaker 3: the Save Act or the Save ACTA, it's a Save Act.
- 33:40Speaker 3: So it was a lead in for calling of the
- 33:42Speaker 3: Save Act, which is what is past the House currently
- 33:44Speaker 3: in the Senate.
- 33:45Speaker 1: It would need sixty votes, so it's going nowhere. Required
- 33:48Speaker 1: talking filibuster. Oh okay, but I doubt that'll happen.
- 33:51Speaker 3: But so it'd be like it would be what it
- 33:53Speaker 3: would be, voter mandatory, voter ID proof of citizenship to
- 33:57Speaker 3: be able to vote.
- 33:58Speaker 1: As part of that.
- 33:59Speaker 3: What it leads into was this talk about the zoron
- 34:03Speaker 3: snow shoveling thing, which was a big discourse.
- 34:06Speaker 1: If you're not online and you don't know what we're
- 34:08Speaker 1: talking about, God bless you.
- 34:09Speaker 3: It's about which you even had to explain to me
- 34:11Speaker 3: because I'm not online enough.
- 34:13Speaker 1: Is what was it? He announced a snow shoving program
- 34:16Speaker 1: and as part of that you get paid. Is it
- 34:17Speaker 1: twenty dollars an hour? The thirty Wow, that's hoestly pretty
- 34:22Speaker 1: good work. So snowshovling thirty dollars an hour. But to
- 34:25Speaker 1: get the job, you have to provide two forms of identification.
- 34:28Speaker 9: It was even more close than that. You had to
- 34:30Speaker 9: have the two of the like one and a half
- 34:32Speaker 9: inch by one and a half inch passport photos, which
- 34:35Speaker 9: I think is probably a corrupt bargain that some mayor
- 34:38Speaker 9: made with like a cartel that owns those little photo shops.
- 34:42Speaker 3: Oh really, because what like I mean, yeah, yeah, wait,
- 34:45Speaker 3: you need a passport photo to get paid from the city.
- 34:48Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 34:49Speaker 9: That is like some dinking level like that that has
- 34:52Speaker 9: to go back.
- 34:52Speaker 1: I love some they're keeping CBS. They don't have CBS
- 34:57Speaker 1: in New York.
- 34:57Speaker 3: What's it called Swayne Reed or whatever wayny anyway, so
- 35:01Speaker 3: that was the leading to this zorun moment.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Let's take a lesson.
- 35:05Speaker 8: And even the new Communist mayor of New York City,
- 35:07Speaker 8: I think he's a nice guy.
- 35:08Speaker 7: Actually speak to him.
- 35:10Speaker 8: Alt they had policy, but nice guy just said, they
- 35:13Speaker 8: want people to shovel snow.
- 35:17Speaker 7: They got hit hard. Want them to shovel snow.
- 35:20Speaker 8: But if you apply for that job, you need to
- 35:22Speaker 8: show two original forms of IDA and a Social Security card.
- 35:28Speaker 8: Yet they don't want identification for the greatest privilege of
- 35:32Speaker 8: them all, voting in America.
- 35:33Speaker 7: Now, it's no good, no good.
- 35:37Speaker 8: Both Republicans and Democrats overwhelmingly agree on the policy that
- 35:43Speaker 8: we just enunciated, and Congress should unite.
- 35:47Speaker 7: And enact this common.
- 35:49Speaker 8: Sense country saving legislation right now, and it should be
- 35:53Speaker 8: before anything else happens.
- 35:59Speaker 1: There you go, a nice guy. Still talk to him
- 36:02Speaker 1: a lot, the Communists. But he's a good guy.
- 36:05Speaker 9: I love I lived in Yeah, that's so sweet.
- 36:09Speaker 5: All the time, he's a nice guy.
- 36:10Speaker 1: I talked to him, talk to him all the time.
- 36:13Speaker 1: He's a good guy. I guess.
- 36:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:14Speaker 1: It means all accurate.
- 36:15Speaker 2: On a more serious note, with regard to all the
- 36:18Speaker 2: election and the voter stuff, I mean, he did make
- 36:21Speaker 2: this point of like the Democrats can never win if
- 36:23Speaker 2: they don't cheat. And you know, as we're watching heading
- 36:26Speaker 2: into the mid terms and all the Shenanigans are already
- 36:29Speaker 2: pulling and the seizing of the you know, voter roles
- 36:31Speaker 2: and variety of states and a lot of red states
- 36:34Speaker 2: going along with whatever they're doing, purging people who belong
- 36:37Speaker 2: on the rolls, the seizing the Fulton County voting machines,
- 36:41Speaker 2: abouts from twenty twenty, whatever Tulsi Gabbard's up to potential
- 36:44Speaker 2: Maduro deal, there is a lot to be concerned about
- 36:47Speaker 2: with regard to whether the midterm elections are going to
- 36:50Speaker 2: be free and fair, what sort of we know they're
- 36:53Speaker 2: going to be Shenanigans.
- 36:54Speaker 5: Hero going to pull He droked about a third term
- 36:57Speaker 5: in the speech he did.
- 37:01Speaker 2: Yeah, so I know that a bunch of Democratic ags
- 37:05Speaker 2: are sort of like wargaming. You know what the possible
- 37:07Speaker 2: scenarios are. And I think we've all we were talking before.
- 37:11Speaker 2: He is aware that his political positioning is quite bad
- 37:16Speaker 2: at this point. He's aware of the historical trends. He's
- 37:18Speaker 2: talked about that too, of the party in power. He's
- 37:21Speaker 2: aware that people aren't buying what he's selling. He's a
- 37:23Speaker 2: bit confused by that, but he, you know, clearly has
- 37:25Speaker 2: some awareness that it's not looking good. And certainly he
- 37:28Speaker 2: knows that if Democrats take back even one chamber, then yeah,
- 37:31Speaker 2: you're you know, any agenda that you had potentially going
- 37:35Speaker 2: through Congress, not that much has gotten past your congress anyway,
- 37:37Speaker 2: grinds to a hall. You've got all these investigations, it's
- 37:40Speaker 2: going to be you know, a lot less fun.
- 37:42Speaker 1: I think I think they don't even care about agenda.
- 37:45Speaker 3: I think all they care about is not having to
- 37:46Speaker 3: literally live on Capitol Hill for investigations.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Yeah, which is a huge I mean it's going to
- 37:51Speaker 1: be a nightmare.
- 37:52Speaker 6: But if Dunfrey take the Senate, and that's not out
- 37:55Speaker 6: of the realmant possibility, you have a literal impeachment on
- 37:58Speaker 6: the table.
- 37:58Speaker 1: Oh it's not just how well, way, how many votes
- 38:02Speaker 1: do you you need?
- 38:02Speaker 9: Sixty seven thought two thirds sixty zero, you would get
- 38:07Speaker 9: a trial.
- 38:07Speaker 1: You would have to the trial.
- 38:09Speaker 9: The trial the way on this nobody's talked about this,
- 38:12Speaker 9: but on this voting bill that he wants to do
- 38:14Speaker 9: that the main thing it would do is make it
- 38:16Speaker 9: more difficult to register to vote if you're a woman
- 38:19Speaker 9: who has changed her name at some point. But the
- 38:23Speaker 9: problem is that I actually haven't looked into this.
- 38:25Speaker 1: How why because of passports certificate?
- 38:27Speaker 9: It's just it's yeah, because you have to get your
- 38:29Speaker 9: birth certificate and your passport.
- 38:31Speaker 6: If you are one of the people who doesn't have
- 38:33Speaker 6: a real ID or a driver's license, who doesn't have
- 38:36Speaker 6: real idea, there are a couple of states that don't realize.
- 38:39Speaker 4: Yeah, is one of them. You don't have to have.
- 38:42Speaker 9: Of the of the people that this would affect, the
- 38:44Speaker 9: ones that would affect the most are women who changed
- 38:47Speaker 9: their name to get married. Okay, eighty percent of Democrats
- 38:51Speaker 9: change their name when they get married. Ninety percent of
- 38:53Speaker 9: Republicans changed their name when they get married. Married women
- 38:56Speaker 9: went for Trump over Harris. He won this group, and
- 39:04Speaker 9: the ones that are more likely to have changed their
- 39:06Speaker 9: names are more likely to be Republican.
- 39:08Speaker 5: Oh, the same act was.
- 39:11Speaker 9: So he yes, I think this is like thirty year
- 39:13Speaker 9: old legislation that they just took off the shelf and
- 39:16Speaker 9: didn't update. Democrats could let it through and it would
- 39:21Speaker 9: hurt Republicans more, is my point.
- 39:23Speaker 3: Well, I've always talked about that with mail in ballots.
- 39:25Speaker 3: Remember back in twenty twenty, Trump literally would have won
- 39:28Speaker 3: the store the state of Georgia if just the number
- 39:30Speaker 3: of people who voted by mail had actually voted, because
- 39:33Speaker 3: it was a significant number.
- 39:34Speaker 1: About whatever, it's not even worth getting into.
- 39:36Speaker 5: Well yeah, I mean, yeah, that we don't have to
- 39:37Speaker 5: build up rabbit hole.
- 39:38Speaker 2: It sort of reminds me of the redistricting thing, where like,
- 39:42Speaker 2: you know, Texas, now that the Latino support for the
- 39:45Speaker 2: Republicans has fallen through the floor, oh, through their lines
- 39:48Speaker 2: based on you know, something approximating Trump's Latino support in
- 39:51Speaker 2: state of Texas could end up really screwing themselves with
- 39:54Speaker 2: the redistricting, not to mention that Democrats, you know, came
- 39:57Speaker 2: in on and were like, okay, bet you know we're
- 39:59Speaker 2: going to this is California, Virginia. That's not the thing,
- 40:02Speaker 2: you know, Spamburger's uh going with legislation seats.
- 40:06Speaker 3: And I think that what California's map got held up
- 40:09Speaker 3: by Scotus recently, I believe, or it was when I
- 40:12Speaker 3: think their affirmation was held No, no, not held up.
- 40:14Speaker 3: I mean it was affirmed. They were like, yeah, to
- 40:18Speaker 3: go through any final thoughts, what do you guys think?
- 40:20Speaker 5: I mean, it didn't. I agree with everyone that.
- 40:22Speaker 9: I mean, it's changed every it didn't.
- 40:24Speaker 5: Yeah, this was the transformation. This is transformed.
- 40:28Speaker 3: Uh, you know, after watching Biden's brain melt in this
- 40:31Speaker 3: very desk, I'm not sure it'll ever.
- 40:33Speaker 1: Nothing was legendary.
- 40:36Speaker 5: We were all eating like the takeout food and like whoa,
- 40:41Speaker 5: I thank god.
- 40:41Speaker 4: We had the ceiling.
- 40:44Speaker 1: Yeah, there was that fame of you and me being
- 40:46Speaker 1: like covering our faces like this. I was like, I mean,
- 40:50Speaker 1: we knew it was bad, but we didn't know. It
- 40:51Speaker 1: was that.
- 40:53Speaker 9: You knew that you knew the cover up that you'd
- 40:55Speaker 9: been engaging in had finally been.
- 40:56Speaker 4: Exposed to tell people that he's it's over. They like,
- 41:01Speaker 4: this is the best Biden's ever been, isn't that?
- 41:05Speaker 5: Oh yeah, the best Biden.
- 41:06Speaker 9: At works us all from from ten to two from
- 41:11Speaker 9: a big.
- 41:11Speaker 4: Window from one pm to one.
- 41:13Speaker 5: Fifteen pm, is.
- 41:18Speaker 6: My takeaway talking in fact, the State of the Union
- 41:21Speaker 6: is now a fucking clip show.
- 41:22Speaker 5: Like it's a clip show.
- 41:23Speaker 6: You're totally That's where we are, absolutely, and I mean whatever, yeah,
- 41:28Speaker 6: I went you like.
- 41:29Speaker 5: That's what everything is about. It's all I could.
- 41:32Speaker 3: We'll go back tomorrow, you know the news. Maybe tomorrow
- 41:35Speaker 3: there'll be some something. Yeah, we all tomorrow State of
- 41:38Speaker 3: the Union. Yeah, yeah, after that, like by Thursday. I'm
- 41:42Speaker 3: predicting it's not even a single mention.
- 41:43Speaker 4: I will say.
- 41:44Speaker 2: One thing I saw someone made a comment of on
- 41:46Speaker 2: Twitter is, you know, one of the special guests there
- 41:48Speaker 2: was Erica Kirk, wife of Charlie Kirk, widow of Charlie Kirk,
- 41:53Speaker 2: and there is a disgusting irony to having her there
- 41:57Speaker 2: at a speech where he's you know, very like going
- 42:00Speaker 2: to war with Ron at a time when you know,
- 42:02Speaker 2: I mean, Charlie was one of those people who came
- 42:05Speaker 2: in the White House and got barked at because he
- 42:07Speaker 2: was opposed to the previous war. To necess to now
- 42:10Speaker 2: have her at that speech when you know we're all
- 42:13Speaker 2: basically expecting that this is coming any day, is.
- 42:15Speaker 1: Really good point. Honestly, he would have been.
- 42:17Speaker 3: I mean, look, you know, you could say a lot
- 42:19Speaker 3: about the guy, but on this topic he actually was.
- 42:22Speaker 3: I mean, look, he at times would go silent when
- 42:25Speaker 3: the administration would ask him to, but his actual opinions
- 42:28Speaker 3: on the matter were especially on Iran, were pretty rock solid,
- 42:31Speaker 3: especially Lindsay Graham going after Itol saying there should be
- 42:35Speaker 3: no regime change. I have really noticed it. Actually, I
- 42:37Speaker 3: feel like the anti war movement is evaporated. Yeah, there's
- 42:40Speaker 3: nothing left.
- 42:41Speaker 2: Yeah, and look, I'm not here to like, you know,
- 42:44Speaker 2: give Charlie Kirkle the greatest credit in the world, but
- 42:46Speaker 2: it is noteworthy.
- 42:47Speaker 4: I think two things happened.
- 42:48Speaker 2: I mean, number one, he was killed, and number two,
- 42:50Speaker 2: there is this sense that like, oh, the Twelve Day
- 42:52Speaker 2: War was fine, Like you guys were wrong, And I
- 42:55Speaker 2: think that's cowed a lot of people into silence.
- 42:57Speaker 4: That you just don't see the.
- 42:59Speaker 2: Same level of friction on the right that you did
- 43:03Speaker 2: in the build up to the Twelve Day War, and
- 43:05Speaker 2: the Democrats.
- 43:06Speaker 1: So someone has to be disbelief, like, are we really
- 43:08Speaker 1: doing this?
- 43:08Speaker 6: We do?
- 43:09Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it's the public. I do think that
- 43:12Speaker 4: there's that sense of that.
- 43:13Speaker 8: Oh.
- 43:13Speaker 3: I keep saying that people are not paying attention even
- 43:15Speaker 3: with this speech, like we just did the war.
- 43:17Speaker 9: We're doing another war, dude, Ryan.
- 43:19Speaker 3: They barely paid attention to that one. Think about how
- 43:21Speaker 3: much stuff has happened in the interim. No Americans died,
- 43:24Speaker 3: that's their favorite talking point. Nobody died in the bombing.
- 43:26Speaker 3: Why were you so upset about it? And I was like,
- 43:28Speaker 3: because I knew that this shit wouldn't end. I knew
- 43:31Speaker 3: that we were going to be back here at the troupe.
- 43:33Speaker 3: But think about how deeply you have to pay attention
- 43:35Speaker 3: all this negotiation and oh, their meet They're like they're
- 43:38Speaker 3: meeting again?
- 43:39Speaker 9: What?
- 43:39Speaker 1: Okay? Whatever?
- 43:40Speaker 3: A scarier strike group. When's it getting there? You know,
- 43:43Speaker 3: people have a lot going on in their lives. So
- 43:44Speaker 3: until the bombs really start flying, I don't think people.
- 43:46Speaker 3: I really, if you took a poll, I don't think
- 43:48Speaker 3: ninety percent.
- 43:49Speaker 9: Of people in this case we have we must have
- 43:51Speaker 9: tens of thousands of people over there by now, yeah,
- 43:53Speaker 9: we did like on all the different shows.
- 43:54Speaker 1: We have tens of thousand people there normally, but now
- 43:55Speaker 1: we have an extra on top of that. This is
- 43:58Speaker 1: the problem. I mean yeah, I mean there's no case
- 44:01Speaker 1: being made. There's no hearing. Uh.
- 44:03Speaker 3: The opposition party is saying that he needs to make
- 44:05Speaker 3: a case. There's no organized effort. What there's that story
- 44:08Speaker 3: out this morning or this afternoon that what was it?
- 44:12Speaker 3: They're trying to kill the Rocanna Thomas Massey more powers
- 44:14Speaker 3: resolution vote because they don't want anybody to go on
- 44:17Speaker 3: the record. We're being slept walk into the entire thing.
