- 7:32Let's talk science.
- 7:34MIT researchers have developed a supercapacitor from water, cement, and carbon black, creating
- 7:41a new way to store energy inside modified concrete.
- 7:46Though supercapacitors charge and discharge quickly, they're less energy-dense than
- 7:52lithium-ion batteries.
- 7:55Potential applications include roads that wirelessly charge cars and building materials
- 7:59that store energy.
- 8:01Currently, the technology can only power a 10-watt LED for 30 hours, but scaling up
- 8:08could allow it to meet residential energy needs.
- 8:13Challenges include scaling the technology for wider deployment due to manufacturing
- 8:17complexities and resource scarcities.
- 8:20And in entertainment news, The Boys, Season 4, debuts on Prime Video tomorrow with a first
- 8:31three episodes, followed by weekly releases until July 18.
- 8:36Critics have mixed views on whether the show remains fresh, but agree that it delivers
- 8:40for die-hard fans.
- 8:43Season 4 is noted to be darker, more political, and still funny, with strong performances.
- 8:50There are no major issues reported, and prior viewing of Gen V isn't necessary.
- 8:56The show's boldness, luddiness, and humor continue to impress, though it's bleaker
- 9:01than previous seasons.
- 9:04Well, alrighty, folks.
- 9:06It's time for the quote of the day.
- 9:09And today, our quote comes from the Sultan of Swat, Bade Ruth.
- 9:15And he said,
- 9:16As soon as I got out there, I felt a strange relationship with the pitcher's mound.
- 9:22It was as if I'd been born out there.
- 9:25Pitching just felt like the most natural thing in the world.
- 9:30And striking out batters was easy.
- 9:34And that's a wrap for this morning.
