- 0:00Yeah, it eventually just became that it probably wasn't gonna
- 0:03happen in running just because I couldn't handle that high
- 0:06mileage. And when I found triathlon, I
- 0:10still had the same goal. I just decided it was gonna take
- 0:13a little bit longer. And so my goal would be to
- 0:16compete at the Olympics in LA 2028 in the triathlon.
- 0:25Hello and welcome to the Eat More Carbs podcast.
- 0:27My name is Jenna Fisher and I'm here with my Co host Riley
- 0:29Beatty. Today we're going to be talking
- 0:31about to Annie Fuller about her Olympic journey and her career
- 0:34as a professional athlete. Before we jump in to today's
- 0:37episode with Annie, just a quick reminder that if you want to
- 0:40spend more time with Jenna and myself and receive
- 0:42individualized nutrition. Care we are currently.
- 0:45Accepting one-on-one athletes to work with us in our sports
- 0:48nutrition programs. We will leave the link below so
- 0:51that you can apply to work with us today.
- 0:53Riley, how's your week going? What's your high and low?
- 0:54So this week, my high and my low actually is the same situation,
- 0:58and it is kind of funny because it's going to show how things
- 1:01can change in my life. Very quickly.
- 1:03I'll start off with my high. Recently I did a community event
- 1:07with a local soccer club. It was a female only soccer camp
- 1:11and it was really fun because we got to do like a nutrition
- 1:14station and I got to do some nutrition education with four
- 1:17different groups, girls ranging from age 6 to 19.
- 1:21I go to the fields and have my little station set up and I
- 1:26start doing a couple, you know, sessions with the girls and I'm
- 1:29getting really good feedback from the parents.
- 1:31I'm feeling really good about myself.
- 1:32The parents have been super nice.
- 1:33One of the parents reached out and was like, hey, you did a
- 1:36really good job. There was not like any Umm's or
- 1:38things like that. And that meant a lot to me
- 1:41because we, you and I have talked about how I started on
- 1:44Instagram because I was so nervous about my public speaking
- 1:46and I had a speech impediment growing up.
- 1:48So it's been nice to know practice my nutrition on
- 1:51Instagram and just all the work that I've been doing.
- 1:54It's nice to have that, I guess, like being paid off.
- 1:56But don't worry, I was humbled very, very quickly.
- 1:59This is my low. One of the groups rotates in.
- 2:02I give all the little girls a handout.
- 2:03This is like girls aging. I don't know, like 6:00 to 8:00.
- 2:06There's a picture of me on the handout because it's an RBSN
- 2:09library product. I put our pictures on there.
- 2:12I give my little nutrition spiel and then I go, what questions do
- 2:15we have? You know, I asked the group if
- 2:16there's any questions. A little girl raises her hand.
- 2:19Great. Like you have a question about
- 2:21nutrition. She looks at the handout and
- 2:23goes, is this you? And I was like, yes.
- 2:26She goes, it doesn't look like you.
- 2:27And I was like, yeah, that's, you know, an older picture from
- 2:31when I had my hair a little bit longer.
- 2:32I have my hair up in like a ponytail with a soccer ball.
- 2:35And she goes, it doesn't look like you.
- 2:36And I was like, you know, I just had my hair up.
- 2:38My hair was longer. She looks at me and goes, yeah,
- 2:41you should not have cut it. No, she didn't.
- 2:44And I got quickly humbled. I was feeling myself and I got
- 2:47quickly humbled by a seven-year old.
- 2:49Oh my gosh. OK well first of all let me just
- 2:52say your hair looks so cute cut short, so I strongly disagree
- 2:56with her style choices. So I now I can just think about
- 3:00how I'm in for it with my currently five month old
- 3:03daughter. I'm, I'm in for a world of pain
- 3:05coming soon. I just was really humbled really
- 3:07quickly because I was feeling myself.
- 3:09I was feeling like, wow, they're, you know, they're, you
- 3:12know, really interested in nutrition and they just wanted
- 3:14to shave me from my hair. Your hair looks great, I like it
- 3:16short. So don't listen to her.
- 3:18What? About you What's your high in
- 3:19your low? My high is that this week I
- 3:21steps outside of my comfort zone as far as from an exercise
- 3:24standpoint. It has been years since I've
- 3:27been to Pilates or done any type of workout similar to that.
- 3:30And a friend of mine here in Arizona invited me to go with
- 3:33her. I was a little bit nervous
- 3:34because it had been so long and I was like, Pilates is hard.
- 3:37But I went with her the other morning.
- 3:38It was so much fun. It was such a great workout.
- 3:41I am very sore, but just as a reminder to everybody that even
- 3:44when things feel scary, even when things feel new, sometimes
- 3:47it can be a great outcome on the other side of that.
- 3:49So that was just a fun thing to do.
- 3:51I'm glad that I went my low. This is a story when I was
- 3:55growing up I loved Mary Kate and Ashley.
- 3:57Mary Kate and Ashley could do no wrong.
- 3:59I had all of their movies. I would watch them as many times
- 4:02as I possibly could and I probably can recite way too many
- 4:06of the lines because I watched them way too many times.
- 4:09Like I I could play the movie and say the whole script along
- 4:12with it. Currently there is audio that's
- 4:15slightly trending, I would say on Instagram that happens to be
- 4:19a song that is used in the what I considered as a 10 year old,
- 4:23an Oscar worthy performance by Mary Kate and Ashley.
- 4:26The movie, if you aren't familiar, is Holiday in the Sun.
- 4:29But anyway, this audio from the movie is now trending online and
- 4:33it's just a song that they play in the movie during this
- 4:36specific scene. And I can picture see here the
- 4:40entire movie sequence whenever I see somebody's real pop up that
- 4:44has that audio with it. And this song has been seared
- 4:48into every corner of my brain and I can't shut it off.
- 4:52I'm not gonna sing it. I don't even I mean like it's by
- 4:54this, like, can you bopper like girl band laying down at night.
- 4:57I'm like laying there like humming along.
- 4:59I'm like, Oh my gosh, like trying to read a book and I'm
- 5:01hearing it like I'm trying to read and I'm it's it's nonstop.
- 5:05It's nonstop. So thank you, Mary Kate and
- 5:07Ashley, and thank you Instagram for making whatever that
- 5:09happened on. You have to look up the name of
- 5:10the song now and let everybody know and probably play it on
- 5:13Instagram so that way people can just really know that song is
- 5:16from my childhood. Is Holly in the sound the one
- 5:18with Megan Fox in it? Yep, and the the scene is with
- 5:21her in it. So the girl band is playing the
- 5:24song and she's walking through trying to find her summer
- 5:26romance Megan Fox's. So if you've seen Holiday in the
- 5:29Sun, that is the scene. Another low just for our
- 5:31generation is the fact that most people that are growing up do
- 5:35not know who Mary Kate and Ashley are, but they know who
- 5:38Elizabeth Olsen is. Yeah, you're right.
- 5:41So they don't know. They don't know them as Mary
- 5:43Kate and Ashley. They know them as Elizabeth
- 5:45Olsen. Sisters, sisters, wow, that is a
- 5:48low for not just the week, but the month, the year, maybe the
- 5:52decade, because you're really missing out if you didn't want
- 5:55to be the third. Olsen Twin Riley I know we're
- 5:57both really excited for today's episode and for everybody to
- 5:59hear it. You have worked with Annie for
- 6:01quite a bit of time now, so I know that she's really excited
- 6:03to share her story about fueling.
- 6:05Annie is a collegiate runner who has now turned to triathlete in
- 6:08a Los Angeles 2028 Olympic hopeful.
- 6:10We're super excited to share this interview with all of you.
- 6:13Annie, welcome to the podcast. Thanks.
- 6:15Hi, I'm glad to be here. And we have a ton of questions
- 6:18for you, but before we get into some of those, can you share a
- 6:21little bit about your background, kind of how you
- 6:22started in this career and like how you started in running and
- 6:25how it's evolved over the years? Yeah, so my dad was an NCAA
- 6:30track coach. And so I kind of grew up in this
- 6:34setting, going to his practices and asking his guys that he
- 6:38coached to race all the time. And when my parents would go to
- 6:415K's, I would always tag along and do the fun runs.
- 6:45And I just really like, I enjoyed it, which was kind of
- 6:48weird for a kid to like enjoy running.
- 6:51Kind of also played everything I could growing up.
- 6:54I never specialized in it right away or anything.
- 6:57Played like soccer, softball, basketball.
- 7:00And I didn't really only run actually until college, but
- 7:04eventually like the higher mileage in college kind of got
- 7:07me in a little spot where I needed to cross train a lot to
- 7:11supplement that. And so I eventually found
- 7:14triathlon and I instantly fell in love with that.
- 7:16How long have you been competing in triathlons now?
- 7:19It's been about 3 years I would say maybe even four.
- 7:24It's the the time has kind of got gotten away from me a little
- 7:27bit. I feel like I'm like a lot older
- 7:29than I think I am sometimes. What is your hope with your
- 7:33career as a triathlete? I know that Riley and I are kind
- 7:36of aware of that, but like, where do you want to go with
- 7:38your professional athletic career?
- 7:40I've always dreamed of going to the Olympics since I've been
- 7:42younger. When I was younger, my mom used
- 7:45to call me 2020 because I had really wanted to go to the
- 7:48Olympics, like out of College in 2020, which I think is kind of
- 7:52funny because it was then in 2021 because of COVID, Yeah, It
- 7:56eventually just became that it probably wasn't going to happen
- 7:59in running just because I couldn't handle that high
- 8:02mileage. And when I found triathlon, I
- 8:05still had the same goal. I just decided it was going to
- 8:09take a little bit longer. And so my goal would be to
- 8:12compete at the Olympics in LA 2028 in the triathlon.
- 8:16That is super exciting. I would love for you to share a
- 8:18little bit more about maybe your fueling dirty.
- 8:20I know that we've worked closely together, but I think you have a
- 8:23really an amazing story and I would love for others to hear
- 8:26about it. In high school, I was actually
- 8:27extremely terrible about what I put in my body.
- 8:31I feel like that's kind of normal, Like you're still a kid,
- 8:33you're still growing and going through things and can kind of
- 8:37just eat whatever. But I remember I would eat like
- 8:39Pizza Hut and Little Caesars and Wendy's and stuff like that
- 8:43honestly daily, and I was still running fine.
- 8:46I literally ate a chili dog one time before the Two Mile in high
- 8:50school. I got away with it, but I think
- 8:52I definitely could have done a lot of things better and
- 8:55probably performed a little better.
- 8:57Looking back on it. It got into a really great
- 8:59college and was able to compete at MSU.
- 9:01I think when I got to college, that stuff kind of started to
- 9:05catch up to me a little bit, and I really needed to be a little
- 9:08more diligent about what I was eating to fuel myself and fuel
- 9:12my workouts. And my stomach just couldn't
- 9:15handle stuff like a chili dog anymore before racing.
- 9:18And so back then they didn't really teach you much in the
- 9:22NCAA. I think think they're getting a
- 9:23little bit better with it. I was just kind of ignorant
- 9:27almost to what I should be putting in my body as an athlete
- 9:30that's trying performed at a high level.
- 9:32I kind of started to get better at like nutrient timing and just
- 9:36like eating more of like healthier foods.
- 9:39Eventually it just became like more of an obsession than it
- 9:44should have been. And so I guess to answer your
- 9:47question, I've gotten better for long runs in the NCAA.
- 9:51Like I would literally go wake up, run 10 to 12 miles and not
- 9:57fuel myself with like anything. And now as a triathlete, like
- 10:00that's crazy to think about. Triathlon itself has been
- 10:02really, really tricky to figure out fueling, which is why I've
- 10:05been working with Wiley because it's super easy to underestimate
- 10:09how much I'm actually needing, especially on like really high
- 10:12training days and kind of like what exactly I need.
- 10:15Another hard thing is having so many workouts to get done
- 10:19sometimes in a short period of time, since I have a job, and
- 10:22kind of figuring out what foods just work during that short
- 10:25period of time I have between, for example, like a swim and
- 10:28bike, and just seeing what works with the stomach constraints,
- 10:31the time constraints. Fueling is all about practicing
- 10:34and making sure that we're getting in enough.
- 10:36So do you feel like that's a big thing that you've worked on is
- 10:38making sure that not only do you have the right foods, but at the
- 10:41right times? Yeah, I think one thing that's
- 10:44really helped me with that is when I leave the house to go
- 10:48workout, I always have stuff in my bag.
- 10:51Like no matter what it is like if, if I'm going for an easy
- 10:55like 45 minute swim, I always have it there just in case I for
- 11:00some reason need or I'm like stuck waiting on the pool deck
- 11:04for longer than I thought it would be to get Elaine.
- 11:06Things like that. Because I there's so many times
- 11:10where I'll like have forgotten to bring food and it really I
- 11:15can tell it just effects how my workouts go when that kind of
- 11:19thing happens. I love that because we always
- 11:20talk about like you want to have a plan A, but if we don't have a
- 11:24plan A, we need to have a Plan B.
- 11:25So we need to have something, a backup option and like throwing
- 11:28things in your bag like you just mentioned is such an easy way to
- 11:31make sure that we're setting ourselves up for success when we
- 11:34have all these other things to worry about.
- 11:36Definitely. What are some of those smacks
- 11:38that you've been adding in your bag?
- 11:39So I gotta keep a variety. I would say I have like a couple
- 11:43Dells. I have a couple like carb based
- 11:47granola bars and then I have protein based granola bars.
- 11:49So like they're all for different things.
- 11:52Obviously like if I'm done with my workouts for the day, but
- 11:55like won't be home for a little bit.
- 11:56Like I'll go ahead and eat that protein bar after my workouts if
- 11:59I'm done, but like fits between have something that has more
- 12:02carbs, which is usually like a chewy granola bar or I'll have a
- 12:06gel but for like a swim or if I'm going from like a bike to a
- 12:10run, like taking that gel. Speaking of gels, those are one
- 12:13of the things that we think of as like an intra run fuel source
- 12:17too. Knowing that you are an Olympic
- 12:19hopeful and you have longer training sessions, what's your
- 12:21strategy for intra training fueling?
- 12:24I would say that's something that I've been working on with
- 12:28Riley, just getting more in when I'm working out.
- 12:32And that's something that I've really, really struggled with
- 12:35from going from just being a runner to being a triathlete is
- 12:39when we're running and especially in the NCAA, like
- 12:42we're not bringing fuel with us on our runs.
- 12:44And so just getting my stomach used to like taking in extra,
- 12:49extra food while I'm trying to perform at a high level has been
- 12:53a little tough to get used to. I would say like I haven't
- 12:56really figured it out 100%. Like I couldn't give you like,
- 13:00oh, this is my go to for like a 2 hour ride.
- 13:02This is my go to for like a workout.
- 13:04This is my go to for a race. I'm still trying to get that
- 13:07figured out 'cause it has been a little bit of a transition.
- 13:10Even though I've been doing this sport for three years, I would
- 13:13say I really haven't started to properly fuel myself into till
- 13:18this year. So it's been a little bit of a
- 13:20struggle. I think I'm slowly starting to
- 13:23get that kind of thing figured out and like see what works for
- 13:25me and like notice changes when when I take a gel compared to
- 13:29when I don't and end up bonking on a ride and don't want to make
- 13:34it. Home so I think.
- 13:35Something that you've done a really good job at is kind of
- 13:37changing your mindset to having your fuel, especially, you know,
- 13:42those carbohydrates like around your training or during your
- 13:44training as another like tool and your and your another weapon
- 13:48in your arsenal, which I think that was a really big mindset
- 13:51shift for you. Yeah.
- 13:52Definitely just kind of like the education I think is what has
- 13:57really been able to like give me that mindset shift in college,
- 14:00like I was saying, where it's getting better, but I wish I had
- 14:05like more resources and more just like awareness of how
- 14:09important like fueling your body for what you're doing is.
- 14:13Even in other sports, you still need to eat a certain way to
- 14:17perform at your best level. And I just think that I really
- 14:20could have done a lot better job and probably like performed
- 14:24better in college had I had I had that like knowledge and
- 14:28education. Because it also just it gives
- 14:30you more clarity and confidence to fuel yourself in that way.
- 14:34If you know OK like eating more is always going to be better
- 14:38than eating less. Oh, Annie, I love that.
- 14:41What are some of the performance benefits that you have seen from
- 14:44these changes that you've made with your feeling?
- 14:46Yeah, I mean, I think like I said, just noticing small
- 14:50differences when I'm, for example, like out on a like a
- 14:52longer bike ride of actually being able to make it home
- 14:55without being miserable. In the last hour, I've noticed
- 14:59if I'm doing a hard workout, I'll have a gel if I time it
- 15:03correctly. As as soon as like it's working
- 15:05for me, I kind of like, I realize in like that higher
- 15:08intensity because I feel I feel so much better.
- 15:12And I know it's not like it's not my legs, it's not anything
- 15:15else. Like you know your body.
- 15:16I know it's that so like this energy is definitely coming from
- 15:20what I just put inside my. Body going from running to being
- 15:23a triathlete, what was that like for you?
- 15:25Because I can't imagine picking up a new sport and from what I
- 15:29understand, swimming was a little bit newer to you.
- 15:32So how did you kind of overcome some of those challenges that
- 15:35come along with like picking up an entirely new type of
- 15:39exercise? Yeah.
- 15:40In regards to just learning the sport, swimming has been
- 15:45definitely been the tougher of this utility learn.
- 15:48It's just so technique based and just requires so much extra time
- 15:53and just like yards and yards and yards or meters and meters
- 15:57and meters in the pool. The thing with swimming is the
- 15:59technique. If you if you can't get the
- 16:01technique, then you're not gonna swim faster.
- 16:04And it's crazy because you can have such a high amount of
- 16:06fitness, but if you fail to like get those like neural
- 16:10connections and really like learn how to actually swim,
- 16:14freestyle in a way that's gonna efficiently get you to where
- 16:18other people are at. It's like nearly impossible to
- 16:21stay with the people that are, you know, like the top of the
- 16:23world. That's definitely been really
- 16:25tricky. I would be very confused when I
- 16:27was like first learning how to swim and some 80 year old lady
- 16:31was passing me in the lane next to me when I'm working really
- 16:34hard and super fit. But I just, I didn't have the,
- 16:37the form down yet. And so I think it's just really
- 16:40something that everybody always says, Oh, like it takes time.
- 16:43And they say that about like lots of different things, but it
- 16:45really did just take like a, a lot of time to kind of get it
- 16:49figured out. But I think I'm, I'm most of the
- 16:52way there. It definitely still could always
- 16:54improve, just like I can always improve with my feeling.
- 16:58But it's, it's been a long road and I'm I'm pretty happy with
- 17:01how it's going so far. So.
- 17:05As it relates to feeling, I'm gonna say that again.
- 17:09Sorry, I'm going really loud. Can you guys hear echo?
- 17:17I've heard one the whole time, so I don't know how this is
- 17:19going to go. I'm hoping that it just uploads
- 17:21all the individual audio and we see how it turns out, but we're
- 17:26going to work with it. So as it relates to feeling any,
- 17:34if somebody's at the beginning of their nutrition journey or
- 17:36maybe is listening to this and thinks I'm, you know, a
- 17:39triathlete or I'm a runner and I want to be better, but maybe I'm
- 17:42scared to introduce some fueling or some nutrition during my
- 17:46training. I guess.
- 17:47What is your advice for those athletes?
- 17:50I think it's tricky because I'm still scared sometimes.
- 17:55I think that the thing that is the trickiest is that once your
- 18:00relationship with food takes a hit, it's really, really hard to
- 18:05develop a good relationship with it.
- 18:07And so I think it's really just that mindset shift of the
- 18:13education and giving. Like I would give them you guys,
- 18:16I would tell them you should really work with someone who's
- 18:20qualified to explain to you why, why fueling yourself properly is
- 18:24going to be the best possible thing for you.
- 18:26Because like I said, it's it's really hard to kind of shift
- 18:30your mindset when that relationship with food has been
- 18:33compromised. Almost like learning to swim and
- 18:37working towards healing that relationship with food and
- 18:39making sure you are properly fueled.
- 18:41Just like you said, it takes time and it takes effort and it
- 18:44takes dedication to get there. But to watch you continue to
- 18:48kind of make that progress both performance wise and fueling
- 18:51wise, is amazing to watch just from an outsider.
- 18:54'S perspective Thank you. Yeah, I mean, I think you
- 18:58definitely nailed it. It's it's something that it's
- 19:01still taking time. It's not, it's not 100%.
- 19:05It's getting there exactly like swimming.
- 19:07I think once it gets there that it things are going to start to
- 19:11go a lot better. And I think once all the stars
- 19:15kind of align, that's, that's when I'll really start to
- 19:18perform at my best. And so, yeah, I think it's, it's
- 19:21super important to just kind of, I know it's really, really hard
- 19:25and really scary, but you will get there.
- 19:28Like I'm not even there yet. I have days where I'm scared
- 19:31too. But there will be days that
- 19:34you're not scared anymore. Well, thank you for sharing that
- 19:36and getting vulnerable. I think people think that this
- 19:39is like a lot easier than it is sometimes.
- 19:41And so then I think people maybe get stressed out when they're in
- 19:44this journey themselves and it's not as easy as I think it's
- 19:47going to be and they take it really badly.
- 19:50Yeah, I could definitely see why that would happen.
- 19:53I think I might have been the same way like in my first first
- 19:57year of like kind of trying to develop a better relationship
- 20:00with food or just honestly like eat more.
- 20:03I was really confused why someone would be telling me to
- 20:07eat more when my goal isn't to eat more, it's to lose weight.
- 20:11With how much I've learned working with nutritionists
- 20:14throughout the years and then eventually working with Riley is
- 20:17just that sometimes you need to eat more to even lose that
- 20:21weight. And so if that is.
- 20:24Your goal if you're not an athlete trying to perform at
- 20:27their highest level in season, if your goal is to lose weight
- 20:31in the offseason, it's still sometimes you need to eat more
- 20:34and you need to eat more of different things that you
- 20:37wouldn't think that you should be eating.
- 20:39It just goes against everything we've taught like are taught in
- 20:42society. It's like the idea that you if
- 20:44you eat more, it will be a better situation.
- 20:47Yeah, definitely. It's a very interesting concept.
- 20:49But like ultimately, I, I've told Riley this several times is
- 20:53that for me, like honestly, if I weighed 180 lbs as a 510 runner,
- 20:59but I was running the way I wanted to run, I wouldn't care
- 21:03at all. Like I think that's something
- 21:04that a lot of athletes don't really grasp is that like the
- 21:07scale does not matter if you're performing the way that you want
- 21:11to perform. And that's that's basically like
- 21:14fueling to perform is just getting to that point where OK,
- 21:18yeah, I'm this weight, but this is the weight that's going to
- 21:21make me the best athlete that can be.
- 21:23The skill doesn't define you as an athlete or as a person.
- 21:25All right, Annie, so we have some fun questions for you.
- 21:28We ask everybody this at the end of the podcast, but it is eating
- 21:31more carbs podcast so we have to ask what your favorite
- 21:34carbohydrate is. I would say, I guess it's not
- 21:37just a carbohydrate, but I really love a good pizza and now
- 21:41it has other stuff on it, but it is like essentially like a huge
- 21:45source of carbs. I would say if I had to choose a
- 21:47favorite, it would be that. But my go to is always pasta
- 21:51when it comes to like around competition or around like a big
- 21:55like training event that I have or something.
- 21:58Just because it's very consistent and consistent in
- 22:02like all places. And like, if I'm training in a
- 22:05different country or something, I can always just count on a
- 22:08good bowl of pasta. What is your favorite pre
- 22:11workout fuel? It's super boring and kind of
- 22:14probably a boring answer when you're talking to like endurance
- 22:17athletes, but probably oatmeal. It's again, just very safe.
- 22:22I would say that's my favorite pre workout but definitely not
- 22:25my favorite like breakfast by any means.
- 22:30Why is that a boring answer? That's a great answer.
- 22:34I don't know, I I like it, but honestly like working with you
- 22:39and working with like a nutritionist.
- 22:42Like I've found so many other like fun options to eat for
- 22:45breakfast. And I'm not someone that I like
- 22:47consistency and I like plans for sure, but I really don't like
- 22:51eating the same thing every day. And Oatmeal's kind of blend and
- 22:55can definitely get boring, but you've definitely helped me
- 22:57spice it up so. Oatmeal's good though 'cause it
- 22:59is kind of like pasta where you can like you can always bring it
- 23:02with you for travel, like you can throw in your bag and all
- 23:04that stuff. Yeah, yeah, I definitely do that
- 23:07quite often. What about your favorite post
- 23:09workout? I really love a good Fair life
- 23:13chocolate milk. That's definitely the only
- 23:15answer I could give you. And then we asked this question
- 23:18that has turned out to be the hardest question that we asked.
- 23:21It has nothing to do with nutrition at all, but what is
- 23:23your favorite pair of? Shoes.
- 23:24Other than my running shoes, probably my air forces.
- 23:29It's just the shoe that I wear pretty much all the time if I'm
- 23:32going out anywhere. But I have gotten really into
- 23:35UFOs lately because they're super comfortable and since I
- 23:38have like a foot issue I had to find something that number one
- 23:42worked for Arizona when it's insanely hot outside and my feet
- 23:46are like sweating all the time in shoes if they're not sandals.
- 23:50So I have I have really enjoyed UFOs and like I can wear them
- 23:53around the house too. So not an UFOs ad, but I really
- 23:57like them. Not sponsored.
- 24:00Any during these conversations, you've talked a lot about how
- 24:02Riley has helped you and how working with someone really
- 24:04helps promote your performance from a fueling perspective.
- 24:07But that's something that you do as well as help other athletes
- 24:10reach their potential. So what is the best way for
- 24:12people to find you, follow you, reach out to you, or to just
- 24:15simply follow along with your Olympic journey?
- 24:17Yeah, I would say that the platform I use the most is
- 24:20definitely Instagram. So if anyone's interested in
- 24:23either you're new to triathlon and want to learn more about it
- 24:26or an experienced runner and just need some guidance
- 24:30coaching, feel free to just send me a message on Instagram or
- 24:33there's also a link in my bio that you can check out and I'll
- 24:36definitely get back to you. Annie under score Fuller.
