Plane Vanished Over Lake Moeraki | Auckland News
A plane vanished in 1978 with seven people aboard during a scenic flight from Dunedin to Milford Sound — and now, after years of stalled efforts, a new three-day search is set to begin at Lake Moeraki. The last signal came as it flew through Milford Sound. Previous attempts, including a 2015 fundraiser for high-tech radar gear, fell short — raising just over $5,000 toward a $35,000 goal. This time, locals are urged to keep clear of the boat ramp to ensure the search teams can work unobstructed. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
