- 0:30[SPEAKER_01]: How's it, Bill's mafia, Lance Nelson here, president of built in Buffalo, and to my right tonight, Scott Casson, no Ben Schupeys out today, Scott, what's going on, man, if they weird week, a lot of things sort of up in the air, uh, with the bill side of things, who's going to go, who's not going to get into all that, but uh, happy new year, obviously, how is your new year's celebration?
- 0:57[SPEAKER_01]: Are you feeling?
- 0:58[SPEAKER_01]: uh... refreshed revive you know revived here in a new year new you were you just uh... what's going on yeah that's right happy new year lands happened here everybody out there yet new new year new me right isn't that what everybody says all right so we got uh...
- 1:18[SPEAKER_01]: quick thoughts up first.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to react to the Eagles game here.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_01]: Scott, you go first.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_01]: You were there.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_01]: I sat this one out with a illness here.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone is sitting out with illness and we'll get into the injury report soon, but I got caught with it and sat out this past week with an illness.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_01]: So you were there and let us know how how was the tailgate, how was the game in person?
- 1:41[SPEAKER_00]: I got wet.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: That's how it was.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: It was a tailgate was fun.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of people there was pretty busy.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_00]: the tailgate over at the big tree in was rocking.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_00]: There was a lot of people around the weather didn't stop people from coming out, which was great.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: Game for most of those pretty miserable was wet.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: It was cold.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_00]: The bills weren't scoring at any points.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: So it wasn't a lot of fun.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: It got a really exciting at the end, which made the day a lot better.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, a bummer of a loss, but it's again, they got remembered, didn't really mean anything.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: So, and we can kind of jump right into the first thing is, what did you think about them going for two at the end?
- 2:23[SPEAKER_00]: I personally didn't like it.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_00]: I really didn't like it at the time.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_00]: Um, considering the bills had all the momentum, the Eagles offense couldn't move the ball at all.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_00]: figured, let's take this team into overtime and take the ticket from there because the bills were dominating.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: But in the game that didn't matter in the rain, you're trying not to have guys hurt.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: We already have some guys hurt that we're playing out there.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: I understood the choices.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_00]: Like, let's just edit here either way.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: Game doesn't really matter.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: Standing's wise, but what did you think about them going for too?
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: I'm torn, like, I definitely think the whole Josh Allen's playing on a bad foot.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just get this over with and get out of here, one way or the other sort of thing, definitely plays into it.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_01]: I would have like to kick the extra point and tie it in like a normal game, plus like, you could say it was just another game, but like, you still have a chance to win the AFC East, if you win that game and now you don't.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe that doesn't matter, but I mean, their whole philosophy, the whole talk was the first goal is to win the division like every year.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_01]: So that's, it does matter that they win the vision or not to them.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: They've set as much.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 3:39[SPEAKER_01]: from that standpoint, I would have liked to kick the extra point and see what we could do.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_01]: Now, no guarantee the guy makes it.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_01]: I obviously missed one of the other.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: And, and again, I do like the aggressiveness of let's just end it here one way or the other and, you know, save the rest of the guys because of the situation.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we're already in the playoffs.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, whether
- 4:00[SPEAKER_01]: we get to the vision or not.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_01]: And look, they called the right play.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_01]: They had the right play and just didn't execute.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_01]: So in the end, like hindsight, 2020 maybe, but even hindsight says like they had the right play and the thing was open.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that overall it was the right call to go for two, but I would
- 4:24[SPEAKER_01]: if it's a playoff game, I would like to tie that and see and like you said with the momentum.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_01]: But the bills are having trouble when the ball is well as the Eagles were.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_01]: So again, I get the I totally understand and I'm not super upset with the call, especially because it worked, but it was so it was a good call.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: And it just end up, you know, they didn't execute and
- 4:52[SPEAKER_01]: You have another, the biggest thing is that it sets up this week being so much more meaningless.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: And that's sort of the thing that really kind of chaps my ass if you will.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_01]: I said, now like, not only did you just throw away the division title and say, we don't care about it.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_01]: Now you set up a game, the last game at Highmark Stadium.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: And you made sure you've almost all but guaranteed.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_01]: This is the last game this season at Highmark Stadium.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_01]: We'll go through the playoffs and the seating scenarios in a little bit here about where they could maybe get back to a home game in the championship or something like that.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_01]: But in all, for all intents and purposes, now you've set up a meaningless game in Highmark for the last game with the red helmets and there's really just, there's nothing.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_00]: Right, I'd rather than be able to rest guys this week.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_00]: I, we're going to talk, I don't think they should play anybody this week.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: I think who gives a shit if they're wearing red helmets, they're still helmets like the look cool, but I want the guys to get the rest and get kind of the buy week because this team needs it.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: Josh Allen's foot sounds like it got worse.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: James Cook has been banged up.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_00]: They got a lot of guys on the defense banged up.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think that the meeting was game could do them more good than
- 6:19[SPEAKER_00]: goes nuclear and the dolphins beat the patch with doesn't happen anyway and then you go into the playoffs banged up and you'd win the division anyway.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so maybe the loss is kind of a blessing in the skies.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_01]: Could be could be I don't disagree with your point there.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_01]: I just I think that the the game
- 6:38[SPEAKER_01]: having a chance at something this week would have been more exciting from a fan perspective, but I certainly understand, I think they're going in a little bit, they got to play some of the guys either way, and we're going to talk about a little bit more about that.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_01]: But let's just finish up quick thoughts on the Eagles real quick here, or you more excited about the defense or worried about the offense.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: I was more excited about the defense.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: They were awesome all day.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: The only touch-down drive that Eagles have is off of the short field off of that crazy, fumble and completion play.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: They got it at like the 45 they went in and scored.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: But other than that, they didn't move the ball at all.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_00]: 16 total yards in the second half.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: Zero completions in the second half.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: But I know the eagle's offense has been a bit dysfunctional recently, but Jalen Hurtsake Juan Barclay, AJ Brown, Devante Smith, that's a tough group to go against no matter what kind of position that team is in.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: So I was excited about the defense.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: The offense, I think, will be fine.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_00]: It was a very vanilla game plan as people like to say an offense.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: They didn't do a whole lot of new stuff.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: They're pretty basic.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: They didn't want to show anything because like we said, this game didn't mean a ton.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: They obviously wanted to win it, but you don't have to put everything out there.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_00]: and you could tell that they weren't doing that.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: The offense moved the ball fine.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: You take away the fumble when they're moving the ball earlier and it's a much different game.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm excited about the defense.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: Since Thanksgiving, they've been top five in a lot of categories.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: They're in a lofty, he had a little piece about it.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_00]: ESPN this week, I think they're top five in total defense and points of louts since Thanksgiving.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: If we can get a defense that we're not expecting 13 points every week.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: But if we can get a defense that gets two or three stops a game and the playoff, like this scene can absolutely make a run.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think the defense has been great.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously it's been noted since Thanksgiving was really the start of the turnaround here.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_01]: And the biggest point is the faith in the offense, right?
- 8:39[SPEAKER_01]: I have supreme faith in the offense.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think this offense is going to do this, that work.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_01]: more often in the postseason.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's the gloves are off.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_01]: We're coming out with our haymakers.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to call our best plays.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_01]: We've kind of played in the sandbox all season during the regular season.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_01]: And now during the playoffs, we know what guys are going to go where and how they're going to have success.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that they do that.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be tough.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's some comments here from Scott makes a nice comment here.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_01]: Online's going to have to step up because a lot of teams in the playoffs are going to get after it.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_01]: And like I said, I just think that they have their schemes up front.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_01]: They have their concepts in the past game.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_01]: They have their running plays and blocking concepts nailed down to what is going to work for each.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_01]: match up here, moving forward.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: I think they have the ability to put together some really great game plans.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't seen it consistently every game this year, but when it matters, I have faith that these guys will.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm definitely more excited about the defense because I'm not so worried about the offense as well.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_01]: So
- 9:59[SPEAKER_01]: That's the EagleSkames or anything more you want to say about the EagleSkames before we move on.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_00]: Now, let's forget about it, game didn't matter anyway.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: We're onto the jets.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_01]: All right, seven one slicker of the week presented by a seven one slicks barbershop on Broadway into Pew go to the cut app and book your appointment with Dennis Matt or there's a new guy there now Jake maybe I forget his name I'm terrible at that he just started yesterday I just met him and
- 10:33[SPEAKER_01]: They were all great.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_01]: Had a great cut yesterday, so 7-1 slick 7-1 slick or the week presented by 7-1 slick Sparber shop Greg Russo.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: We had two weeks ago phenomenal game and then this past week.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_01]: We didn't get a chance to do it last week because I was absent.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to give him the honor this week.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_01]: say, you know, I think he was credited with a half sack, according to next gen stats, some good pressures, good pressure rate 20% again next gen stats.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_01]: So Greg Russo is your 7-1 slicker of the week this week.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think about roots performance really last two weeks?
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: Where he's come on?
- 11:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he was awesome against the Browns kind of single handedly stopped them on the last couple of drives.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_00]: He was it felt like he was living in the Browns.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: He's getting his male delivered to the Browns backfield two weeks ago.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: Then this past week he was solid against the run containing Sake Juan Barclay.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: He was making Jalen Hertz have to get off his
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: a lot on Sunday and causing a lot of those errand throws.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, he seems like his pressure percentage is really high.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_00]: I would love to see him finish a few more of those, but he causes the ball to come out before they're ready to do it.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: So we can get Greg Rollen going into playoffs.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: Joey Bosa healthy, give Joey Bosa this week off.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: Please Sean McDermott, and I think our defensive line and the playoffs can get after just as much as some of those other teams.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_01]: right on.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, group showed us sort of what we'd like to see game in and game out from him against Cleveland and followed up with a solid performance.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_01]: And again, we mentioned the defense and what they did in the second half to the Eagles, that Greg was a big part of that.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 12:18[SPEAKER_01]: I like this game, I like how he's kind of peeking at the end of the season here going in the playoffs, so hopefully he can kind of counteract as much as those other teams that people mentioned have a big pass rush, hopefully Bosa and Group really can sort of take over games when they need to and get the bills some success here in this postseason run that they're about to go on.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_01]: All right, last game at the Ralph.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_01]: Give us a favorite memory or two Scott and let us know what it means to you to be in the building here this coming Sunday.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so I have some awesome memories.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_00]: I grew up going over the first game I went to with my dad.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: One of my buddies was 2011 against the lion.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_00]: No, yeah, 2011 against the lion.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_00]: 2010, 2011 season against the lions.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_00]: Bills were on eight.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: Lions were on in seven.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: The Bills won 14 to 12 because I think it was Sean Hill was the lion's quarterback through the two-point conversion playaway, like you threw away over everybody's heads and the Bills won.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_00]: And they only moved to 180, but it was an awesome day at the stadium and going to those meaningless games, you know, after that, like I went to a couple weeks, 17 games back then was the last week in the cold and snow to watch the meaningless game where it was the bills were 4 and 12.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: So it'll be nice to go this week, watch the meaningless game where the bills are going to the playoff.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_00]: So it's been fun to see that transition from, you know, the 17 year drought to now in the
- 13:52[SPEAKER_00]: Another one of my favorite memories is from this season that Ravens come back week 1 that game was awesome It kind of felt like that might be happening on Sunday like in one more epic comeback and in that place before we shot it down But it's gonna be cool to be there on Sunday a game that I probably wouldn't go to living out of town the last week of the season meeting list but
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: have to be there for the last game in that stadium, even if we're going to see Mitch Tribiski and some of the non-starters, but Stames and open for a long time.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's seen a lot of stuff that those 90s bills teams with the foreshared super bowls and a couple of those AFC Championship games were in Buffalo, the crazy comeback by Frank Reich.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_00]: and the playoff so that it's stadiums it's a it may not be the nicest stadium in the league but there's a lot of good memories in there for a lot of bills fans So it's going to be kind of bittersweet moving across the street to Our new palace I'll call it.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's a much nicer and much more modern I hope it has the the p-troughs and in the bathroom.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_01]: I can have the troughs bro the troughs
- 14:52[SPEAKER_00]: I want to buy them.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_00]: You can't, I'm trying to buy seats.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_00]: I want to buy one of those.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, if they're going to break stuff down and sell it, the toss is going to be a big ticket for people.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_01]: I think, and that's, I was going to mention like, you know, before I quit drinking, you know, I had some pretty crazy games there.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_01]: I sat in the Jim Kelly club for the first couple of years with season tickets and just, you know, on field passes for Green Bay when Aaron Rogers was there.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_01]: And Clay Matthews, I think when he was still pretty decent at the time, and I just dapped up one of the marquee's good, or yeah, good win was Jackson, so I got to, like, dab him up and he had zone as he was Jackson before the game, stuff like that.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_01]: I went with my buddy Matt to that game, and this year, just a couple of games, like the chiefs game with my mom.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_01]: last game in the stadium with me, and then the Ravens game you mentioned was like a birthday present from me to my buddy Matt, so like the way it turned round and ended up being good was super meaningful to be able to have, you know, his present be a good experience and not be a blowout like we thought we were like third quarter like geez, did we go chicken wings now or what?
- 16:01[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, what we'd ever leave till the clock gets zero, so we're glad there, and then the buck and ears was last game.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_01]: that he and I went together in that stadium.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_01]: So just a couple of meaningful ones.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_01]: And then obviously we went to the giant scheme when I was younger and I went to a ram scheme and I remember as well, being young, my father passed in a way and but his brother, my uncle, but lived in Buffalo so we came out here.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_01]: got some reprieve at the game and I just absolutely ate it up.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_01]: I loved it as a youngster.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_01]: So really good memories out there with family and then also with friends.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously it's been great the last couple of years doing the tagging over at the big tree and meeting all the people.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_01]: Being able to look over at you and Brian from my seats as section over and just
- 16:54[SPEAKER_01]: you know say what the hell or whatever the case you know just knowing you know what we're thinking without really having to say too much just give a look I think that the last couple years have been pretty awesome there and and I'll I'm still waiting to see where I'm going to sit this week I'm still still waiting on a ticket so we'll see if I
- 17:12[SPEAKER_01]: See if collect life if I don't that blood donation comes through so I could sit inside or if I'm going to brave the elements I saw today they're going to have people out shoveling so if you guys want to shovel they're going to give away a bunch of stuff to shovelers on Saturday go out there the bills posted all over social media and I think that's pretty cool but given the snow I'm I may look to go sit inside I'm not sure we'll see see what happens on on the old game time app or take a master app here.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so you already kind of hit this, but we'll just say again, I didn't get a chance really to say too much about it, um, McDermott did say it's going to be business as usual this week.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_01]: And you said you don't really want to play anybody, but some guys are going to have to play.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_01]: You can't, you can't sit everyone, um,
- 18:04[SPEAKER_01]: but we definitely should sit some key guys.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_01]: Now, Josh Allen has not practiced yet, so we're not gonna see too much of him, but I think he's at least gonna take the start and the first snap to continue his snap streak.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: And then really the biggest one, I think to talk about his James Cook, and if they wanna get him the rushing title.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they're going to have to play some guys.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think cooks a good one to play for the first quarter, quarter and a half see what you can get for them see if you can get them a couple touchdowns and you know 50 60 yards and then get out of there and and say, you know, hey, you know, that's that's what you get it and you know, we got to keep your fresh hopefully that's enough.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_01]: And he stays healthy through that amount of time and then.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Mitch Trubisky slinging around, I, they're just going to be handing off to Ty Johnson and Ray Davis, a ton of I feel like, we'll see if Frank Gorg, it's the call for what not.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm not sure if they can call up a running back from the practice squad when they may need depth that other positions to try to keep other guys out.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I don't want to play guys like Bosa at this point.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_01]: See, Bosa hasn't practiced at all this week.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_01]: Bernard's going to be out, obviously,
- 19:22[SPEAKER_01]: And we'll see there's it looks like there's some couple of guys popping up with illnesses too.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see how that affects last play, but um, yeah.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, that's, you know, I don't know, they're going to have to play a few people and you know, I definitely think they're going to sit Josh after a snap other than that, you know,
- 19:43[SPEAKER_01]: The biggest thing is I hope they can really figure out a way to rest this offensive line because Connor McGovern kind of told us a couple of weeks ago when he was on with us that he's, you know, they've got injuries there.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_01]: Connor himself has an arm injury and then he had like a cup inserted.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_01]: uh to stabilize his peck that he kind of tweaked and there's other things going on there so he's battling through and he said I'll just deal with it in the off season.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like there's plenty of other guys on the offensive line that are like that as well.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_01]: So I would like to see the offensive line get as much rest as possible as well.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm of the camp of play as few people as you can.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously
- 20:29[SPEAKER_00]: James Cook and the rushing title, that would be really cool, but he's been banged up to like he went into the tent last week, he's been dealing with some stuff.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_00]: So I would give him a driver too, or maybe even sit him completely, but the rushing title might be important to him.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_00]: I would think being healthy for the playoffs is more important, but
- 20:49[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it is a cool team accomplishment.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_00]: So maybe they give him a driver to see how it goes and then, yeah, both I think he should sit as far as the offensive line goes like you mentioned as many of those guys as can.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_00]: rotate.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think maybe Dion will sit or maybe they play Dion's response around.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_00]: This Spencer has been getting beat up all season.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's got a suit.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he could probably use use a by week and no get maybe see what some other guys have like I'd like to see a Vaughn Prunk Granger get in there because we haven't seen him at all.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'd love to see what he has because he might be the center next year and this could be a good, good kind of audition for him.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I would like to rest as many guys as they can because
- 21:30[SPEAKER_00]: You know, five, six, seven C doesn't really matter to me.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_00]: I don't really think it matters to them at all.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_00]: So, but more important to be being as close to 100% as you can going into the playoff to go on this run.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, I would like to ask guys if we can.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_01]: For sure.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_01]: All right, quick run through the playoff scenarios here.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_01]: To get the five seed, the bills have to win.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_01]: The Texans or Jaguars have to lose, and the plus the chargers have to lose.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_01]: So, bills win, Texans or Jags lose, and chargers lose, get the bills the five seed.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_01]: To get the six seed, the bills have to win.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_01]: One of the Texans or chargers or Jaguars have to lose.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_01]: And then the seven seed would be the bills lose or the bills win.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_01]: But the Texans and Chargers and Jags all three win as well.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_01]: So if all four teams win, then the bills will stay at seven.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_01]: If the bills lose, they'll stay at seven.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: If the bills win in one of them loses, it'll be the six.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_01]: And if two of them lose and the bills win, it'll be the five.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_01]: So pretty.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_01]: clear there you just have to get the bills when first and well it'll be probably okay.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_01]: No before kickoff what we really need so at that point and honestly I think you know we'll talk about the bills chances against the Jets here I think it'll be still a competitive game even though it doesn't mean much and we may have backup's playing a lot of it.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'm excited just one other player of scenario the NFC South.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's just it's funny we
- 23:10[SPEAKER_00]: the Panthers in the box play tomorrow or not tomorrow on Saturday, but if the box win, and then the Falcons beat the Saints, the Panthers still win the division.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_00]: So the game is kind of for the NFC South, but like not completely.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_00]: So I think it would be just so funny if the box win and then they got to sweat out a Falcons Panthers meaningless football game to see if they could say in the box haven't been able to gather on way to win.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's they could have just won last week and and taken care of it.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_00]: Well, no.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_00]: If they won last week, it would have been winner take all.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like so.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_01]: it's they've been having them have fantasy players on the box has been very frustrating and they haven't really been able to figure it out so that's a weird scenario for sure having other teams control your destiny I think we know about that a bit too much at times and went in our favor finally in 2017 obviously so that was that was nice but
- 24:09[SPEAKER_01]: Injury report is, Allen did not practice either day so far with his foot, neither did Bernard or Bosa with a calf and hamstring, respectively, Regigilium did not practice on Wednesday, but was full today doing an illness, Dequan Jones with a calf as not practiced, and then Jordan Poir has not practiced.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_01]: So, Traubernard's going to be out.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_01]: We assume maybe Jordan Poir as well.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_01]: Matt Prater logs two full sessions.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe the kicker will be back there.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_01]: Tray White popped up with a wounded practice for an illness today.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see how that goes.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_01]: AJ happiness also did not practice with an illness.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_01]: So a couple of illnesses there.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_01]: I had limited for King Cade, Knox, Camlos, and Jordan Phillips.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_01]: And that's a Thailand Grable did not practice with a personal issue, but that's
- 25:05[SPEAKER_01]: not a big deal.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think James Cook got a day off today so that he could be ready to get the rushing title on Sunday.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think about the injury report anything that sticks out to you?
- 25:16[SPEAKER_01]: You want to mention.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, another guy, I think, should probably not play Sunday.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_00]: Tray White, he's been all some of this season.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to need him in the playoffs because he's playing better than Max Harris.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_00]: And so, would like to see Tray White get a rest week because that guy could probably probably use it.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_00]: And if anybody's on the border or like questionable, or I think I can give it a shot, just set him down.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_01]: I'd like to see Max Harrison get a little run.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to extend him by any means, but it'd be nice to get him out there and just get him a lot of snaps.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_01]: Now, with the weather, who knows how sloppy it's going to be and what's the playing field's going to be.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_01]: So you don't want to get those guys out there.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully Harrison doesn't have to do a lot if the jets run the ball a bit as well if the conditions dictate that to be the case.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_01]: If you haven't done so already, please like this live.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_01]: If you're on Facebook, like and share, if you're on X, repost and like, if you're on YouTube, share and like as well.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_01]: And then if you can hit that subscribe button on the YouTube channel for built in Buffalo content, hit that bell and get a lot of every time we go live.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_01]: That would be super appreciated.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_01]: We are sponsored by landcaster indoor bounce house and 7-1 slicks barbershop built in buffaloes also sponsored by a southern tier and we always give a nice shout out to the folks at wingnuts who will have us out tomorrow to view more in Williams.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_01]: So we got to do our in Williams interview tomorrow.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_01]: And there's a meet and greet at wingnuts somewhere around 6 or 7 o'clock.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_01]: So check out wingnuts.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_01]: social media is for that and get out to the meet and greet tomorrow with Dorane Williams at the airport location on Genesis Street and also shout out to the big tree and who hosts us at every tailgate, every home game.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_01]: They've been great over there at the big tree and we greatly appreciate them.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_01]: If you're hungry right now, it's a weeknight at the big tree so head on out to wing night over there and get some of the best wings you can.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_01]: The Merfs wings over there are
- 27:23[SPEAKER_01]: my favorite.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_01]: So with that, let's go into previewing the bills versus the Jets.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_01]: Scott, take away the offense here.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think we're going to see a lot of Mitch Trubisky biggest thing.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think he's going to throw the Jets their first interception?
- 27:41[SPEAKER_00]: They don't have any this year.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_01]: Jets have zero interceptions on the year.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_00]: Correct.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_01]: Since saying, yes, I'll say if the weather is subpar and Mitch goes out there and tries to force it to someone that the Jets will get their interception.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_00]: I hope not, because that would just be an absolutely hilarious and very jet stat.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_00]: But as we talked about some guys are probably not going to play, you'd imagine Josh Allen doesn't play.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_00]: So Lance, is there anybody that you want to see get a decent amount of snaps this week?
- 28:18[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe someone.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_00]: We haven't seen or something we have, you'd like to see in a higher volume.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, offensively, I guess, you know,
- 28:28[SPEAKER_01]: Ray Davis has really been coming on as of late.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_01]: So I definitely think having him carry a little bit more of the load would be nice to see.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see how that plays out.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see what the passing game can look like.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see if they roll key on Coleman out there this week.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_01]: And if he does get out there, I'd like to see him get some rum run and go with go that way.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, we'll
- 28:56[SPEAKER_01]: likely see a lot of these different guys, Jackson Haas has been fun to watch so far.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_01]: And then you mentioned SPPG, Sedra Fan Fan Granger, the center, definitely want to check out what he's going to have for us there.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_01]: And then hopefully, Thailand Grable can get back on the field and he's got a personal thing going on, but hopefully you get back and we could
- 29:24[SPEAKER_01]: uh... along with the other backup offensive linemen so just want to see what the offensive line looks like it you know i think those higher sources gonna play a bit still uh... regardless of of the rest factor but we'll see who else uh... gets pulled in and what their backups look like on the offensive line well you just named like everybody so i want to see everybody yeah but i really read Davis and key on coalman
- 29:47[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, I was saying there's not a whole lot left for me because he's got a really like to see SVPG out there, play some some solid stats.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_00]: Same with Grable.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_00]: Grable's a guy.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_00]: They obviously really like, because they they've stashed him the past two seasons on IR.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_00]: So they couldn't let him get away.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_00]: They clearly really like it.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_00]: He made the team last year out of camp.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_00]: So I would like to see what he's got.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_00]: We haven't seen him in a game at all.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_00]: And I think he played that last week last season against the
- 30:15[SPEAKER_00]: They're in kind of a similar situation.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_00]: So I'd like to see what Grable has, same with SVPG, because both of those guys could play big roles on the OI next season.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you mentioned Keon, I'd like to see him as well, who knows if he's part of the playoff rotation, but just to give him some confidence going into next year, if he can have a good game against a pretty bad jet secondary,
- 30:40[SPEAKER_00]: that could, you know, give him some confidence maybe, but like we said, who knows if he's even going to be here next season.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_00]: So we mentioned Frank Gorgionier, I don't know if they'll be able to call him up because we only have two call ups and we might need guys in other places so we can rest more guys, but we'll be nice to see him.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_00]: Get a care he's been dressed for some games.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_00]: But hasn't really I don't think he's touched the ball.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he touched the field yet So it would be nice, but yeah, they'll probably use those on the lines So they can rest more guys, but since there isn't really a ton to preview as far as offense goes this week because It's a meaningless football game Lance who were kind of go through some superlatans for the offense, so we'll start off
- 31:25[SPEAKER_00]: Not allowed to pick Josh Allen, not allowed to pick James Cook, because that's cheating.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_00]: Who would you say your offensive MVP has been?
- 31:33[SPEAKER_01]: I know, it's James Cook, but yeah, obviously, Josh and James are the two most important people.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_01]: I really like what Dalton King K did while he was in the offense and up, so I guess I'll give it to Dalton King K, as long as he's healthy, but
- 31:53[SPEAKER_01]: hasn't been a lot and Cleo Sha here, obviously, then started to carry some load there.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_01]: There's not a ton of production from the receiving core, I don't really see a guy that's blown us away, but we know Sha here has some capability, so, you know, overall, I would love to see, you know, we talked about
- 32:15[SPEAKER_01]: I think in the chat that, you know, we want to see Cleo Shakir get more routes down the field in the playoffs.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's something that we will see, but Cleo Shakir definitely was the highest targeted player by a lot.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_01]: And we'll
- 32:37[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see what the playoffs hold for him.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_01]: But I would say either don't engage.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_01]: He had a nice 36 catches, 523, 5 touchdowns this year.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_01]: And then Cleo Schkeer would be the other one because he had 95 targets, 72 for 719 and 4 touchdowns.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, I gave two, but Schkeer, I guess, or can Kade, whatever you want to take.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I was going to give it to Kate as well.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_00]: And for this reason, the bills we can Kate is on the field are 9 and 2.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_00]: They score 30.1 points for game and they average 6.1 yards for play when he's not on the field.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't play the 2 and 3.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_00]: 23 points for game 5.4 yards for play.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_00]: So losing record without him a full touchdown less per game without concave and that's been the issue the past three years when he's not on the field.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_00]: They really miss him.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_00]: He's on the field.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_00]: He's awesome.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_00]: He's Josh's safety blanket.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_00]: Josh can trust him.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_00]: He gets open down field.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_00]: He has all the tools of a top.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_00]: 8 to 10, maybe even higher, tighten the NFL.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_00]: It's just staying on the field.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_00]: And it seems to be the same injuries that nag him.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's the knee from last season and the reactivates it.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_00]: So hopefully he can get healthy, but
- 33:54[SPEAKER_00]: it doesn't look great for his durability long term.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_00]: So it's going to be real interesting offseason for concave because they have to decide if they're going to pick up his fifth year option.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think they will because if he has an awesome season next year, they're going to want to extend them and he'll be a free agent.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they're going to extend them this off season.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think they pick up that fifth year option to kind of buy them another year to see can this guy say healthy?
- 34:18[SPEAKER_00]: Because if he plays 16 games fully, even some of the games he played this year, he was banged up.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_00]: 16 17 games even 15 games healthy he's going to be right around nine young 900 yards a thousand yards eight to ten touchdowns, which is right up there with the top tight ends and that's who they drafted him to be so MVP when when he's on the field.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_00]: I agree with that completely and then honorable mention for me Fire to pick one offensive line because you can't pick the whole offensive line.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_00]: I'd say Connor McGovern
- 34:50[SPEAKER_00]: Dawkins and Brown, you know what they're going to get there.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_00]: Dawkins said some penalty issues this season, but Dawkins and Brown are solid, but Conor McGoverns went a great rock in the middle of the line for two years now.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_00]: So another interesting decision to make with him come this off season and it takes them and if they find money.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I think we're on the same page with our MVP's there.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_00]: So let's move along who's your most improved bill this season.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_01]: Most improved bill, I guess, you know, Ray Davis really improved on the, I don't know, special teams counts for the offense, but I definitely take a step forward and helping the offense get better starting field position.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, for that sake, I'll say, you know, he did well.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_01]: And then.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, if we're not going to pick the obvious guys, I don't really have another guy that I could say, did it, you know, made any jump.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously Coleman hasn't really done a lot.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_01]: I, you can give it to Tyrell Shivers.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_01]: He obviously came from practice squad to now making some big catches here.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_01]: So far has 15 catches for 245 and a touchdown, which topped his one for one in 69 yards last year for a touchdown.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_01]: Touched down to catch streak of being one to one, but he's still did improve and he's made some really nice catches, especially last week, going up and getting them all.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_01]: So if I have it's shivers or Ray Davis for most improved and just wanted it, if you were talking about the offensive line with Connor McGovern did want to give a shout out to David Edwards who helps McGovern on the communication side of things.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_00]: Once again says multiple people and takes the one I was going to give.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_00]: So I was going to say I was going to say Edward's is definitely up there.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like you mentioned in the communication standpoint, he's been a solid lineman in the league, but really become more of a leader.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_00]: It feels like this season, helping McGovern with the call.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes just calling out the protections.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's very clearly a guy that Josh Allen can trust.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, McGovern's been improving, you know, leadership-wise, and again, a top decision this off season.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_00]: He's a free agent, can't bring everybody back, probably definitely not both of those guys, so we'll see, but other one is James Cook for me.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_00]: He was good this year, but he wasn't this.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_00]: Like, we, uh, people were on the phone.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_01]: We couldn't say him.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_00]: I was for MVP.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_00]: Oh.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because you know, your last one is one of the guys we can't say.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_01]: Gotcha.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_00]: So, um, yeah, James Cook.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_00]: He, if people were my, myself included around the fence of extending him this all season, I was kind of team don't extend him.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_01]: But now he's drafted him in the second round of my fantasy team and won the championship.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_01]: So I had full faith.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_00]: Well, there, there you go.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_00]: See, but he's 1600 yards, maybe more.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_00]: could win the rushing title most likely going to be all per out with top five at least running back in the league like he's taken that next step which we thought he took last season.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_00]: So it's awesome for him and great that the bills haven't walked down for four years and never doubted your Brandon.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_00]: For our last one, most disappointing player on the business.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_01]: There's a real obvious one here, right?
- 38:17[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just going to say key on Coleman, whatever
- 38:24[SPEAKER_01]: is what it is.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_01]: He's he's not necessarily producing.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_01]: He had some off the field stuff too.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_01]: The biggest disappointment is there was a premium draft pick spent on him and the production to match that premium draft pick is not there.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_01]: That's the disappointment.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_01]: And then the other way you could go is just the disappointment of how often
- 38:46[SPEAKER_01]: Conquade is missing games potentially.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_01]: Conquade obviously is very good, but he's not been available to this team enough this year and we hope that he comes back.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, you can't really nag on guys for injuries.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_01]: That stuff's gonna happen, but it is at least to say a little bit disappointing that you have a guy that's so important to the team and has missed a handful of games this year.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, as it cheating to say, Joe Brady, I've been.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_00]: disappointed in Joe Brady and all the stats say the offense is great, but the I test says that it is not.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_00]: There are times where there are route combinations that lead to nothing and make Joshua like he has to do too much and there are times where Josh takes this nap and it looks like he's immediately thinking I have to make a play instead of we have to make a play and that could be because he doesn't trust it.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_00]: There's been multiple times in press conferences they
- 39:52[SPEAKER_00]: just running what's called and that's not a glowing endorsement that he loves it.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_00]: So my most disappointing would be Joe Brady.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_00]: Last season, the offense was awesome and everybody eats was great and this season, the kind of feel like no one, no one eats and they don't use
- 40:13[SPEAKER_00]: He's great at catching screens.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_00]: He absolutely is, but throw them in the ball down field.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_00]: He's great at it, and we're also paying him a lot of money to do more than just get screens.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_00]: He's great at scheming up the run game, but the passing game definitely leaves something to be desired other than two tight ends.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_00]: He's great at getting tight ends the ball.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_00]: I would like to see some more down field stuff.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_00]: We saw it with cooks on Sunday.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe cooks can unlock that part of the offense, but
- 40:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like, too many receivers have come to Buffalo and played the worst football they've ever played before for it to be a coincidence that all of those guys just happen to regress that much.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like, fool me once.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_00]: Well, fool me twice, fool me seven times is about what we're at now.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll have to see more if you're doing great in the playoffs.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't, you know, that's part of the key on Coleman thing.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's part of the Josh Palmer thing.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_01]: Josh Palmer has zero touchdowns, you know, only on the field for 11 games so far.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_01]: Just needed more out of that, courtesy of me, little six games a year, one touchdown, seven catches for 81 yards and six games, like, I don't know, man, what Elijah Moore, nine games, nine catches 112, no touchdowns, like,
- 41:26[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what we're doing here with the receivers and Joe Brady, but like you said, nobody's eating and it's a major disappointment and it's tough to put it all on the receivers, but they do have some skin in the game there, they do have to run and execute their routes, they do have to catch them all, they do have to try to make people miss and
- 41:48[SPEAKER_01]: it gets yards after the catch and nobody's sort of doing any of that.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_01]: So whether it's the concepts, the calls, the timing, whatever Josh misses him, it's like when everything goes right, then maybe Josh has an error throw or you know some of that stuff, it's it's
- 42:05[SPEAKER_01]: It's just the, I was going to say, I mean, obviously Keyon was the big name, but the, the receiving, the passing game and the receivers overall the usage that whole bit that you just mentioned is certainly the most disappointing thing about the offense for sure yep.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_01]: And like I said, I just feel like they do have a good handle.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, if we're saying it, they know it.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_01]: So my biggest thing is like, they have a plan for this postseason to be able to pass the football.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_01]: And I think people are going to be pleasantly surprised that guys maybe like Palmer, like she came around the field, maybe maybe even more of Ty Johnson or something like our James Cook in the passing game.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_01]: then that really changes things for this offense and I hope that we get to see that come to fruition here in the playoffs.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, another guy who should 1,000 percent sit this week.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_01]: Kinkade?
- 43:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, for sure.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_01]: 100%.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of shoes on the roster, so they do have four already locked in.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_01]: So they're good with that.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_01]: I'm fine with Kinkade sitting or if they want to play on a series or something to get them just a cup.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_01]: But it will see if the weather has snow on the field.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to see Kinkade out there slipping and tweaking something at all.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_01]: So I agree with that.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_01]: Anything else in the offense for we move on?
- 43:36[SPEAKER_01]: All right, the defense is going to be interesting.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_01]: Like we mentioned, Bosa should sit.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_01]: Who do you want to see out there getting some run on the defense?
- 43:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you mentioned Max Harrison, I'd like to see him play the full game like he should be be able to do that.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_00]: Like to see him play the full game, give that experience in.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_00]: But also Jordan Hancock, he's played some safety, played some nickel, not a lot of consistent snaps, coming out some third downs on his obvious coverage situations.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_00]: I'd like to see him play a full game as well.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_00]: Let's get see what we have there because he's a guy who could really contribute
- 44:18[SPEAKER_00]: kind of, that's the only starting safety.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think we're relying on 49-year-old Jordan Poir next season.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_00]: He's been great, but I don't think we can go.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_00]: We're out of safety is to bring back from the glory days of our safety position.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_00]: So we'd like to see what Hancock has there.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_00]: And then the guys on the D-Line, like Mathis, he looked pretty good last week.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_00]: We'd like to see more of him if he can be a key rotational piece in the playoffs.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_00]: I think,
- 44:45[SPEAKER_00]: Solomon's going to play a lot.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if I want to see that.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think I've seen what he is.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_00]: But I'd like to see some of those younger DBs get some wrong because we're going to need them next year.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_00]: Because unless they bring back Tray White on another one year deal or something, Max is going to be that starting corner.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_00]: And even if they do bring back Tray White, Max is probably the starting quarter.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, we're going to have to find a safety and if Jordan Hancock is it, that'd be awesome.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_00]: So, like see those young DBs in a full game to see what they got, even though it's against the jets.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_01]: for sure.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_01]: I already mentioned Max Harrison, so I'm not going to say it again, but I think he will be intriguing to watch.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_01]: And we're going to interview him tomorrow, so I'm going to say Dorian Williams, I think that he has the most interesting role on the defense right now, getting shoved inside to where I think Javan Solomon played a little bit earlier in the
- 45:43[SPEAKER_01]: had Dequan Jones go down, was at the Bangle's game in the in the warm-ups and Falcons him, okay.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_01]: So after Dequan went out and they were kind of light at D.T., they kind of inserted Dorian in there and he's been just coming around and cracking off its alignment from the interior defensive line.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_01]: spot and letting the defensive end kind of stun inside.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_01]: So super interesting role for him, obviously, would spell Matt Milano hopefully on Sunday and we'll see what he gets to do from the linebacker position.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_01]: So I want to see some stuff there.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_01]: And then outside of that, just maybe keep keeping some looks at TJ Sanders and some of our rookie class here.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_01]: see what they have.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see Jordan Hancock, what he might have out there, what positions they put him in, and I hope they move guys around and put them in some unique positions and see what they can they can handle.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_01]: So certainly interested in all the young guys, but then Dorian Williams, I think we'll see if he goes to the linebacker or stays in the inside at certain passing downs
- 47:00[SPEAKER_00]: Defensive MVP who do you have my MVP at my most inferior for the same guy Cool bishop
- 47:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think Cole Bishop's been been awesome.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_00]: There was some people worrying about him stepping in and being the starting safety this season.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_01]: Which I should have queued up the video.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_00]: Which I didn't necessarily understand because he started the AFC championship game last year and played fine.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't like he was a kid who was completely green.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_00]: Like he started a few games last year and was fine.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_00]: And kind of what seemed unlock him was your guy Jordan Poir coming back and they were able to free him up a little bit, get him more and more in coverage, he leads to team interceptions with three.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_00]: Something with him and Taylor rap, this was wasn't really working and who knows, maybe it was him trying to make up for some things Taylor rap, was there wasn't doing?
- 47:51[SPEAKER_00]: After, you know, like I would say that Falcons game coal bishop just took off.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_00]: He's been awesome.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_00]: If that doesn't happen, the back end of our defense isn't as good as it's been.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_00]: Release the team the interceptions.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_00]: It seems like this was the guy that the bill stopped.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_00]: They were getting with that second round pick when they wanted him.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_00]: He had all the tools that was could he put it all together on the field and this season he has and he's a guy that next season they're going to build this defense around.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_00]: So, very excited for Cole Bishop and excited for him next season.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I can't go elsewhere.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_01]: I had Bishop on as my MVP and most improved as well.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to say, you know, lead the team in steps, lead the team in tackles, lead the team in interceptions, had a 55.1 rating against according to next gen stats or NFL Pro, whatever you want to say that is,
- 48:46[SPEAKER_01]: Really good season for Bishop.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_01]: I think that it was somebody that we really liked a lot during the draft process coming to Buffalo and then people just.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_01]: didn't want to give him a chance this year.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_01]: He did have a slow start as well, but I got to talk to Jordan Poir at the Deon Dawkins car show this summer.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_01]: And I first thing I mentioned to him was, you know, there's a lot of outside noise about cold bishop, but just let everyone know he's going to be alright.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_01]: And you can see that we have that clip on on reels and stuff on our IG.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's on
- 49:17[SPEAKER_01]: TikTok as well.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go out check that out.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_01]: But it was a good funny bit between Jordan Square and I who came for that role and he didn't even, Jordan didn't even really know if he would get on the field because we had Taylor rap at that point and his role was really just to mentor Cole Bishop at the time when I'd spoke to him and he was very, you know,
- 49:41[SPEAKER_01]: calm and at peace with that role, but he said, hey, if he gets his number called, you know, he's excited to see what happened.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_01]: And I told him that thought that if the player got on the field, he would have some success.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_01]: And it's worked.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_01]: You know, and Cole Bishop has been the benefit or a hundred percent of so Cole Bishop is our MVP collective here at unanimous MVP and most improved player on the defense.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_01]: Who's your most disappointing player on the defense?
- 50:10[SPEAKER_00]: There's the two obvious ones.
- 50:12[SPEAKER_00]: So I'll take one and leave you the other.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_00]: Terrell Bernard.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_00]: Another year where he can't say on the field, he's always missed a couple games in the industry, but this year it's been, it's gonna be five after he doesn't play on Sunday.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_00]: And when he's on the field, I know he hasn't been healthy, and that's okay.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_00]: But there's a noticeable difference when Shack Thompson's on the field, versus when Terrell Bernard is on the field, specifically against the run.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_00]: an undersized linebacker who's banged up is isn't going to be able to take on blocks and Bernard can't like teams are running all over us when he was out there and he always has had a nose for the football if that was a thing about him like he may be a bit undersized and yeah sometimes he's going to get run over but he just knows he's forced his turn over say it's crazy uh he only has the one the one intersection this season uh he doesn't have any force fumble does this have two fumble recoveries so you know he is still around the ball but
- 51:07[SPEAKER_00]: It was just him forcing turnovers is something that we really needed him to do.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_00]: He hasn't done it and they gave them a big extension because he's one of the two captains and everybody loves him in the building and he's going to be the middle linebacker next year.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_00]: Unless Swapher Milano moves on, they move him to outside linebacker, which I would kind of surprise me because they paid him to be the middle guy.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_00]: He just hasn't been the same to El Bernard this season.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_00]: And hopefully it's just a one year flu connected season.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_00]: He's back to that because they're going to need them, especially if Milano's gone because Milano's really come on recently and he's been healthy for the most part and he's played pretty well and it's kind of looking like, hey, maybe.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_00]: You know, maybe I'll promo on.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_00]: I was not there, but they am near close to it is still there.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to need Bernard next season.
- 51:59[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if he'll play in the playoff.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_00]: So he has the calf and the elbow.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_00]: And like I said, they're almost better with Shak Thompson.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_00]: So maybe maybe he doesn't play in the playoffs.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Shack Thompson's a great story for sure.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not part of our segment, really, but shout out to how he's come in and stabilize just like Jordan Boyer giving that veteran presence and really that knowledge that he's got of the defense.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_01]: He played in it for years in Carolina too.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_01]: So, Trun Johnson's the other one that you mentioned there and as far as two disappointing guys,
- 52:34[SPEAKER_01]: hasn't necessarily been the same shut down nickel, the touted as the best nickel in the league.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_01]: Certainly wasn't that this year, but hey, let's see if the cliff can turn some things around for him.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_01]: He still had 57 tackles.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_01]: And you didn't have an interception.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, he had a 92.6 rating against and let up two touchdowns.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_01]: So not the Tron Johnson standard that we're used to this year.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_01]: And it's tough.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_01]: I think, you know,
- 53:08[SPEAKER_01]: From the get go this year, he started out his first play in the preseason.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_01]: He goes and gets a concussion on a tackle that's just like dude, come on like that's it's one of those things that that when I saw that, I'm like, all right, Toronto get get get him out of there.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_01]: I don't need to see him in the preseason banging himself up anymore, but it's just tough.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_01]: These DBs are asked to hit a lot and
- 53:34[SPEAKER_01]: their bodies very quickly and we saw that would make a hide and seeing that would tell wrapping out with injury and now poyers deal with the injury as well.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_01]: So a lot of guys in this secondary that it's tough because the way they're asked to play,
- 53:51[SPEAKER_01]: For them to stay healthy and and Tron has probably been on an awful year with his health.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_01]: So that's going to be the disappointing for me.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_01]: But I think that Bernard is the answer for most people like you said.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_01]: I just am not going to echo the same thing.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_01]: So for sick conversation, go to Ron Johnson.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_01]: Anything more on the defense?
- 54:16[SPEAKER_00]: Now hopefully just don't get hurt this weekend.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_00]: We'll get to see some new guys and don't let Brady cook.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_00]: Cook.
- 54:25[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_01]: Alright, fantasy starting sits is not going to be as glamorous as usual because there is a ton of games that do not mean a darn thing.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_01]: So Scott, let's get yours because they're not really fantasy related and they're awesome.
- 54:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's an all-time diet starts Monday, Monday, coming up after this weekend.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_00]: After the holidays, after the new year, got a lock back in, a lot of human eating bad, maybe drinking a little too much, but a lot of people, I mean me.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, all-time diet starts Monday, coming up this Monday after the last home game.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_00]: And then we got a playoff game movie after, which is, which doesn't count towards the diet, but yeah, diet starts Monday.
- 55:07[SPEAKER_01]: All right, what are you sitting?
- 55:09[SPEAKER_00]: uh... i am sitting all the new people at the gym you included got a membership yesterday as well you're out of the one of the one of the one dollar sign up here right i don't blame you around jim gore uh... my culture is not your costume don't be coming in and use using everything and getting in the way uh... obviously crazy everybody wants to better themselves but
- 55:33[SPEAKER_00]: The people who come in and then they're done in two weeks, you know, that let's first two weeks in the gym or hell.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_00]: So I know diet starts Monday and also I'm in for a long gym session Monday waiting for stuff.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm locked in man.
- 55:46[SPEAKER_01]: I this gym actually opened two days ago, three days ago now.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_01]: So it's actually a new so it's a new so it's okay that I just joined yesterday.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_01]: it's just open.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_01]: It's all a new thing.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm sort of not new person at the gym because the gym's new and I get grandfathered in there, I think.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't fit in your category of the people are sitting.
- 56:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to start fantasy championships.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_01]: I won two.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_01]: I won both my leagues at two fantasy leagues, and I won them both.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_01]: And look, I'm just going to shout out, establish the run.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_01]: If you guys get a chance to check out a fantasy podcast, establish the run with Adam Levitton and Evan Silva is pretty darn good.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_01]: I took their, uh,
- 56:32[SPEAKER_01]: preseason pack there was like 50 bucks and I ended up winning two championships off of it.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_01]: So pretty good stuff by those two guys and just shout out to that and then I'm going to sit.
- 56:44[SPEAKER_01]: I fantasy advice that I gave on the show for the remainder of the year because I did not.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_01]: have a good record when I tried to see who was going to match up well against Buffalo for the other teams and things like that.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_01]: I had a couple of bad takes out there, so I'm going to sit those and try to come back better for you next season on the fantasy side of things.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_01]: But game predictions, if you guys have any game predictions, throw them in the comments, sky ahead with yours.
- 57:15[SPEAKER_00]: mind's boredom.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it's to be a very exciting game for either team because the jets don't want to win this game because they don't it's possible that they're they're picked their drafts pick could drop you know four or five spots if they win a meeting with football game and the bills want to win but they're not going to.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_00]: Play all of the guys.
- 57:34[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think so.
- 57:34[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it's going to be super exciting.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's going to be low scoring The we weren't red helmets that that will be neat and I bet there'll be a lot of like pomp and circumstance around the game.
- 57:43[SPEAKER_00]: That's exciting But the football itself my hopes aren't super high.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_00]: I'll go final score bills 13 jets 11
- 57:56[SPEAKER_01]: Excellent.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_01]: I also took a little bit of a funny square went 22 12 bills.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_01]: I think bits for risky in the running game can move the ball enough on the jets defense.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see what happens there, but 22 12 bills.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_01]: And that does it for us go check out Georgia Ole Miss here coming up about to kick off and have a great weekend.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_01]: Beyond the lookout for Dorian Williams interview dropping this weekend from the guys here, Ben will join us tomorrow at Wingnuts.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_01]: So you'll see the three of us got Ben and Lance over.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_01]: with Dorian Williams tomorrow at Wayne nuts.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_01]: If you guys get a chance, please come out to Wayne nuts for the meet and greet.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's somewhere around 6 o'clock and check out the Wayne nuts social media.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_01]: You can confirm the time and all that stuff.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_01]: And again, thank you to our sponsors, Landcaster and door bounce house, someone selects barbershop.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you to the big tree in.
- 58:56[SPEAKER_01]: We'll also be at the big tree in on Sunday.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_01]: Before the game, I think I may have some built different hoodies from cheekcoat athletics.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_01]: My guide Gigi out there, so shout out to the built different brand if you saw the built different hoodies around.
- 59:11[SPEAKER_01]: We've had those at the tailgates a few times.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_01]: If you want to get one of them, if you're a bigger guy, I got three X4X sizes still on the 85 bucks.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_01]: So come over and get your built different hoodies from us at the tailgate.
- 59:23[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't think we're going to have too many beverages trying to get hold this other interior, but did not have any luck with that.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll be back hopefully next season with a re-invigorated tailgate working on some fun stuff and excited for that.
- 59:41[SPEAKER_01]: So for that final game, high-mark stadium Sunday 425 kickoff bill bills.
- 59:48[SPEAKER_00]: Go bills?
