- 0:00Speaker 1: So, folks, we know that academia has just been completely
- 0:03and utterly embroiled in this whole, entire Jeffrey Epstein thing,
- 0:07and we know that there have been several universities that
- 0:10have taken more money than others, right, and one of
- 0:13those who has taken a ton of money from Jeffrey Epstein,
- 0:17especially after his conviction, was MIT. So this morning's article
- 0:23is going to dive into that a little bit, and
- 0:27it's going to talk about Professor Seth Lloyd, who who
- 0:31is pushing back against the report that he misled the
- 0:37school about the Jeffrey Epstein donations. So we're going to
- 0:41read a little bit about that and add a little
- 0:43bit more context to that situation, because that was one
- 0:48of Epstein and Maxwell's number one priorities is weaseling their
- 0:52way into the scientific community. And if you're going off
- 0:57of the premise that they were being run by an
- 0:59intelligent agency or several intelligence agencies, and that this was
- 1:03a blackmail operation, then it's very apparent what they were
- 1:07trying to do with these scientists. They were trying to,
- 1:09you know, weasel their way in and learn what these
- 1:13scientists were working on the projects so that they could
- 1:16pass that information onto their handlers, and that's very a
- 1:21very obvious ploy for them, an obvious avenue, right. They
- 1:27wanted to compile the dossiers of information. They wanted to
- 1:30make sure that they were in a position of power
- 1:33and to accrue more power. We all know that knowledge
- 1:36is the most valuable commodity. So with that said, we're
- 1:42going to jump into this article. It's an ABC News
- 1:45article and it was published yesterday. The author is Colin
- 1:50Binkley and he is an AP education writer. So make sure,
- 1:55of course you go and check you go and click
- 1:56on the link. There's a they also on this link,
- 1:59they have a seven video seven and a half minute
- 2:01video with Maria Farmer, so definitely click on the link
- 2:04and check that out. A Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor
- 2:10is denying accusations that he misled the school about two
- 2:13fifty thousand dollars gifts he facilitated from Jeffrey Epstein in
- 2:17twenty twelve, arguing that Institute officials had full knowledge Epstein
- 2:22was the donor, and they tried to play it off
- 2:26like the officials really didn't have all that information and
- 2:30these were like rogue scientists. That's what how they were
- 2:33trying to play it off, when in reality we understand
- 2:35that MIT as an institution accepted these donations. In an
- 2:40online statement published Thursday, Professor Seth Lloyd called the accusations
- 2:44completely false and said he followed the school's policies to
- 2:47the letter when he accepted Epstein's offer to support his
- 2:50scientific research. It was Lloyd's first public comment since MIT
- 2:54placed him on paid administrative leave January tenth. And remember
- 2:58we talked about that when it first happened, right, But
- 3:01we haven't heard from Lloyd. So all we had was
- 3:04the university side of things and the evidence that was
- 3:09found by the group that they had brought in to
- 3:11do the investigation. So now we're hearing from Lloyd, and
- 3:15I feel like it's important to hear what he has
- 3:17to say as well. I never hid the identity of
- 3:20Epstein as the donor prior to the donation being accepted,
- 3:23Lloyd wrote. I facilitated the submission of the donation approval
- 3:26request to the MIT officers exactly so that they could
- 3:30vet it. MIT knew that the donor was Epstein and
- 3:33fully approve the donation with this knowledge. Wow, So again
- 3:39MIT is trying to play dumb. Wasn't us. We had
- 3:41no idea. It was these professors that took this money.
- 3:45We would never ever ever accept money from Jeffrey Epstein, how,
- 3:48I mean, come on, that's just so unbecoming. Meanwhile, they're
- 3:54taking all kinds of dough from this guy. Lloyd declined
- 3:57to comment further. The allegations against Lloyd were published in
- 4:01a January tenth report by Goodwin Procter, a law firm
- 4:04hired by MIT to examine the school's relationship with Epstein.
- 4:08The report found that Epstein donated eight hundred and fifty
- 4:12thousand dollars to MIT between two thousand and two and
- 4:15twenty and seventeen, and visited the campus at least nine times. Again,
- 4:22like I said in the one, we'd covered this originally
- 4:24when we when this story first broke. I mean, imagine
- 4:28being a parent with young girls at MIT and knowing
- 4:31that these professors brought this sick pedophile around your kids.
- 4:35I mean, come on, man. Three senior officials became aware
- 4:39of Epstein's donations in twenty thirteen and considered cutting ties,
- 4:43the report found, but they ultimately approved the gifts as
- 4:46long as they were kept quiet. Boy, isn't that nice. Huh,
- 4:50Just keep it quiet. Let's accept this money, because you
- 4:53know money's the mother's milk. Well, we'll accept this dough,
- 4:56but it doesn't matter that it came from a convicted pedophile,
- 4:59doesn't matter at all. We'll just keep it quiet. The
- 5:01public doesn't need to know. Those dumb idiots in the public,
- 5:04those morons, they'll just think it's a conspiracy theory and
- 5:07we'll let them run with that. Meanwhile, it's a conspiracy,
- 5:10a criminal conspiracy involving who knows how many people. The
- 5:16report alleges that Lloyd accepted two fifty thousand dollars donations
- 5:19from Epstein in twenty twelve, but purposefully failed to inform
- 5:25MIT officials that Epstein was the source and had been
- 5:28convicted of sex crimes in Florida in two thousand and eight.
- 5:31Talk about passing the buck. So you're telling me all
- 5:35these really smart people at MIT had no idea what
- 5:39Jeffrey Epstein was up to. They had no idea that
- 5:41Jeffrey Epstein had previously been convicted. They had no idea
- 5:45that Jeffrey Epstein was a monster. I call bs okay
- 5:50for supposedly the smartest people around you sure act in
- 5:53pretty stupid. Professor Lloyd knew the donations from Epstein would
- 5:59be controversial and that MIT might reject them, The firm
- 6:02found we conclude that in in concert with Epstein, he
- 6:06purposefully decided not to alert the institute to Epstein's criminal record,
- 6:11choosing instead to allow mid level administrators to process the
- 6:14donations without any formal discussions or diligence concerning Epstein. Again,
- 6:20they're making themselves look bad here again. So why are
- 6:22you allowing mid level administrators to process the donations if
- 6:26they don't know how to vet them correctly? That's on
- 6:29you MIT. Now. Of course the professor shared some blame here, right,
- 6:32He's the one who accepted the donations. He's the one
- 6:35who brought this animal onto campus. So nobody's saying that
- 6:37he's not in the wrong. But at the same time,
- 6:39how about MIT takes a little responsibility for their own missteps. Huh.
- 6:45Lloyd's account says he put Epstein's agent in touch with
- 6:48MIT officials, as instructed by his department, but never hid
- 6:52the source. As evidence, he published portions of a June
- 6:55twenty twelve email that Lloyd was sent by an MIT
- 6:58official to Epstein's accountant, many thanks for your message on
- 7:02behalf of Jeffrey Epstein. We'll look forward to receiving the
- 7:05first installment of his gift. The MIT official wrote, what
- 7:08does that mean? The MIT official? So Professor Lloyd gets
- 7:11put on blast, but the MIT official who wrote the
- 7:13email doesn't. That's interesting. The investigative report says Lloyd later
- 7:19admitted to breaching his professional duties, but Lloyd disputes that,
- 7:23saying I made no such concession. Lloyd separately received sixty
- 7:28thousand dollars as a personal gift from Epstein in two
- 7:30thousand and five or two thousand and six, which the
- 7:33report called a possible violation of MIT policies because it
- 7:38was not processed through the school. Lloyd says he used
- 7:41the money for research and believes he followed MIT policies.
- 7:45So I, in legally speak, I'm guessing what they're saying is, look,
- 7:50you didn't process that process at sixty thousand that he
- 7:53gave you through us, and we didn't get our cuts,
- 7:55So screw you. So don't get me wrong, folks, Lloyd's
- 7:58a scumbag for taking this money and for associating with Epstein,
- 8:01But MIT is not getting off that easily right. They're
- 8:03not going to pin it on this guy and be like, Oh,
- 8:05it was all him. We're not going to let them
- 8:07do that. We all understand that MIT was very aware
- 8:11of who was donating this money. Folks, Come on. He
- 8:15also sought and received one hundred and twenty five thousand
- 8:17dollars from Epstein in two thousand and seven to support
- 8:20a sabbatical, but investigators found no fault in his handling
- 8:24of that gift. MIT officials provided a statement from Goodwin
- 8:28Proctor standing by the firm's report to the extent Professor
- 8:31Lloyd disagrees with the report. We are fully confident the
- 8:34findings in the report are consistent with the evidence and
- 8:37information that we collected, including from Professor Lloyd. The statement
- 8:41said Epstein's ties with MIT have royaled the campus and
- 8:45led to multiple resignations over the past year. In total,
- 8:48the school received seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars from
- 8:52Epstein after his two thousand and eight sex crimes conviction,
- 8:56and continue to accept his money until twenty and seventeen.
- 9:00Of that total, five hundred and twenty five thousand dollars
- 9:04went to the MIT Media Lab, whose former director Joy
- 9:07Eto resigned last year. Again, folks, do you think Epstein
- 9:11was just donating this money because he was a generous
- 9:13man and felt like he had to be, you know,
- 9:15a patron for these folks, or do you think that
- 9:18he expected something in return. A guy like Jeffrey Epstein
- 9:21does not do anything if he does not expect he's
- 9:24getting something on the flipback. He wants that kickback, He
- 9:27wants the quid pro quo, and that is the only
- 9:29reason Jeffrey Epstein is even donating money to scientists. Come on, folks,
- 9:34he wants to be on the inside and he wants
- 9:36information on the projects they were working on. It's very
- 9:39obvious what he was doing. Epstein, sixty six, killed himself
- 9:44in New York City, allegedly in a New York City
- 9:46prison cell in August after he was arrested on sex
- 9:49trafficking charges. The wealthy financier pedophile had pleaded not guilty
- 9:54to sexually abusing girls as young as fourteen and young
- 9:58women in New York and Florida in the early two thousands.
- 10:01In lawsuits. Women say the abuse span decades. Lloyd previously
- 10:06issued a public apology to Epstein's victims and on Thursday,
- 10:09he reiterated his remorse. None of this is in any
- 10:12way diminishes my lapse in judgment in accepting Epstein's donations
- 10:16to MIT in the first place. He wrote, I stand
- 10:19by my previous apology for these mistakes of mine, and
- 10:21take full responsibility for them. I ask only that I
- 10:25be judged for what I actually did, No less and
- 10:28no more. Oh, don't worry, mister Lloyd. That's exactly what
- 10:30we're judging you on. You're a scumbag for taking his
- 10:33money after his conviction. Before the conviction. Again, like I said,
- 10:36you'd have a leg to stand on, you'd have a defense.
- 10:38You could say, like the rest of these dirt bags said, Well,
- 10:41I had no idea what he was up to, but
- 10:43a simple Google search of Jeffrey Epstein's name would have
- 10:46brought you the most heinous and monstrous articles you could
- 10:50ever find. Instead, you choose to lie and say nobody
- 10:55had any idea who Jeffrey Epstein was, and nobody had
- 10:58any idea what Jeffrey Epstein was up to, and we
- 11:01just took his money because we thought he was just
- 11:03a patron. We thought he was a patron of the
- 11:06art of science. So we accepted his money, and you
- 11:09know he was a good guy. That's such bs okay,
- 11:13Literally a ten year old could have found out this information,
- 11:16and even the mid level administrator. I mean, come on,
- 11:20all right, so you see someone's donating this much money,
- 11:23you don't, out of curiosity hop onto your computer and
- 11:25google it and find out who this man is who's
- 11:27donating all this money. I don't buy it. I don't
- 11:30believe anything MIT is saying. I think that they're they're
- 11:33trying to pin this on Professor Lloyd, whereas I believe
- 11:37MI T should shoulder at least half of the blame. Again,
- 11:41though nobody ever wants to take responsibility for their actions
- 11:44in this case, folks. Everybody just wants to distance themselves,
- 11:48and nobody wants to take responsibility for the fact that
- 11:51they all at the very least enabled Jeffrey Epstein's trafficking
- 11:58ring and his use of multiple countless young women. All right, folks,
