- 1:11Speaker 3: a podcast called twenty five Whistles.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Blow Eddie, thank You. I was looking at the ten
- 1:22Speaker 1: toughest four game stretches in the NFL coming up, according
- 1:26Speaker 1: to Greg Almand, Number one to Dallas Cowboys.
- 1:28Speaker 4: Oh boys.
- 1:28Speaker 1: They have a four game stretch of the Eagles into
- 1:31Speaker 1: the Chiefs, into the Lions into the Vikings.
- 1:34Speaker 4: That's gotta be November.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Huh, weeks twelve through fifteen.
- 1:37Speaker 4: It's gonna be tough.
- 1:38Speaker 1: That's ugly. Number two it's the Vikings, but sadly the
- 1:43Speaker 1: Cowboys aren't part of their rough four game stretch.
- 1:46Speaker 4: We figured that much the rude.
- 1:50Speaker 1: That kind of sucks, dude, because the Vikings are in
- 1:52Speaker 1: the Cowboys. It's like back in the day when you
- 1:54Speaker 1: were a kid, you're like, yeah, my best friend's Mike,
- 1:56Speaker 1: and then you go to Mic and you're like, Mike,
- 1:58Speaker 1: who's your best friend tom And your name's not Tommy.
- 2:01Speaker 1: You're like, oh, No, Vikings have Eagles, Chargers, Lions, and Ravens.
- 2:06Speaker 1: That's tough. Brown's at number three Ravens, Packers, Lions, Vikings. Yeah,
- 2:11Speaker 1: that Cowboys stretch is tough. Yeah, Eagles L. Cowboys. No, No,
- 2:16Speaker 1: Chiefs L, Lions L. Vikings.
- 2:20Speaker 4: Maybe possible. W there? Three and one? I mean anything
- 2:24Speaker 4: happened one and three?
- 2:25Speaker 1: Three?
- 2:25Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 2:26Speaker 4: What do they say, any given Sunday? Man?
- 2:28Speaker 6: Yeah, that's a movie they actually say that.
- 2:31Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, any given Sunday. Yeah.
- 2:33Speaker 1: I saw that thought i'd bring it to start the shayk.
- 2:35Speaker 4: You put me in a good mood right away.
- 2:37Speaker 1: You're welcome. I am not the reason you lost your
- 2:39Speaker 1: Texas text off ball bet because I told you not
- 2:41Speaker 1: to do it.
- 2:42Speaker 4: We all did it collectively, but I didn't tell you
- 2:44Speaker 4: to do it.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I never No, no, Rider, No, I don't subscribe
- 2:48Speaker 1: to Rider Dian bets unless it's me betting my own stuff.
- 2:52Speaker 4: That was just a tough start to the weekend. It's
- 2:55Speaker 4: tough one, you know. And then Mike was the winner
- 2:57Speaker 4: out of all of that. I don't know if he bet,
- 2:59Speaker 4: but it's team on the whole thing.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Yeah, congrats Texas.
- 3:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:02Speaker 6: I didn't bet on it though.
- 3:03Speaker 1: They just threw that picture all three games right, Like.
- 3:06Speaker 6: I realized afterwards. I only bet the over. Oh yeah,
- 3:12Speaker 6: that time that I lost and I'm like, oh dang,
- 3:13Speaker 6: and I check and I'm like, oh cool, Actually I
- 3:15Speaker 6: just bet the over sweet.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a great feeling thinking you lost and not
- 3:18Speaker 1: just winning, but realized you bet something totally differ because
- 3:20Speaker 1: your finger pushed the wrong button.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Yes, that all the time.
- 3:23Speaker 1: That is a great one. So yeah, we lost that one.
- 3:25Speaker 1: But the good news is Arkansas is in the College
- 3:27Speaker 1: World Series.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Just killed Tennessee.
- 3:29Speaker 5: Yeah in a row.
- 3:30Speaker 4: Get out of my way.
- 3:31Speaker 1: It's ugly.
- 3:32Speaker 6: I watched that one on Sunday.
- 3:33Speaker 1: It is ugly in a beautiful way.
- 3:34Speaker 6: Yesterday yeah, yes, uh the Grand Slam and I was like, oh,
- 3:37Speaker 6: it's over.
- 3:37Speaker 5: It's crazy.
- 3:38Speaker 1: That's what I said to my wife too. I never
- 3:39Speaker 1: say anything's over because I've just been a Arkansas fan
- 3:41Speaker 1: too long. Seriously at the Grand Slime because it was
- 3:43Speaker 1: like oh two, yeah, it was two or one two,
- 3:46Speaker 1: And I was just about to ask chat GBT, what
- 3:48Speaker 1: are the odds in an O two count that the
- 3:51Speaker 1: battery even gets on base, because I was just curious, like,
- 3:53Speaker 1: because they drop dramatically if it gets to O two.
- 3:57Speaker 1: And then he ripped it went right over the wall,
- 3:59Speaker 1: and I was like that's game game over.
- 4:01Speaker 4: Did you get a result? What was the war the od?
- 4:02Speaker 1: I didn't know.
- 4:02Speaker 4: I didn't get to and finish it.
- 4:04Speaker 1: No, I was just about type it incs. It was
- 4:05Speaker 1: oh two and then he had him home run. I
- 4:07Speaker 1: forgot all about it. I was like ball game.
- 4:08Speaker 4: It's funny that you lost your entrance, though, interest after
- 4:11Speaker 4: you saw it on that.
- 4:13Speaker 1: One was yeah, so that happened. Arkansas's the end of
- 4:17Speaker 1: the college World Series.
- 4:18Speaker 4: That was fun.
- 4:19Speaker 1: That's a good sports weekend. And Thunder one last night easily.
- 4:23Speaker 1: They were up like fifteen and a half and I
- 4:25Speaker 1: was falling asleep and I thought, I cannot go to
- 4:27Speaker 1: sleep because I'm gonna miss the Thunder losing the game
- 4:32Speaker 1: gets out of control, and so I stayed awake a
- 4:34Speaker 1: little bit longer, and I woke up this morning and going,
- 4:37Speaker 1: oh great, And then they ended up winning big time.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Yeah they've recovered.
- 4:41Speaker 4: Nothing changed there. It was eleven and a half, I think.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that was it too. Uh So Thunder
- 4:45Speaker 1: wins one to one. But the Pacers were heading the series.
- 4:49Speaker 1: They got right, they got one on the road, one
- 4:51Speaker 1: on the road. So now we're going to go to
- 4:53Speaker 1: it and the thing is I like the Pacers because
- 4:55Speaker 1: they're a small market team. We went and worked out
- 4:57Speaker 1: with them and love them, I know. But the Thunder
- 4:59Speaker 1: the same thing that. I mean, their small market team.
- 5:01Speaker 1: It's my wife's family's team all that. So I'm still
- 5:05Speaker 1: rooting for the Thunder. But if they lose, the benefit
- 5:08Speaker 1: is Eddie has to wear a throng.
- 5:09Speaker 4: Yeah? Yeah, first game Game one, took the thong out
- 5:12Speaker 4: getting ready for it. Yeah, and then I put it
- 5:13Speaker 4: back last night, ironed it back in the cabinet.
- 5:16Speaker 6: Where do you put it at my drawer?
- 5:19Speaker 1: You don't have it with all.
- 5:20Speaker 6: The with all of your other boxes, have one.
- 5:25Speaker 1: You don't have a thong. I turned on the PlayStation
- 5:30Speaker 1: and started playing PGA golflod But this weekend's and so
- 5:33Speaker 1: I started playing. And I now can see how kids
- 5:36Speaker 1: can get into so much trouble with the end game buying.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Oh yeah, because there are two ways on this game.
- 5:42Speaker 1: You can get a lot better. You can win so
- 5:43Speaker 1: much from scratch that you slowly get enough coins to
- 5:48Speaker 1: buy the better equipment. But I could see being twelve
- 5:51Speaker 1: and going, I just want the good equipment so I
- 5:52Speaker 1: can get better really quickly. And I probably I spent
- 5:56Speaker 1: like eighty eight bucks just to buy a set of
- 5:58Speaker 1: clubs that actually that's great.
- 6:00Speaker 6: Oh yeah, dude, on the game, like you buy new
- 6:02Speaker 6: clubs and not.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Just to look good, not just to look good, but
- 6:05Speaker 1: they actually are better clubs and now you can earn
- 6:07Speaker 1: them by playing hours and hours and hours and like
- 6:10Speaker 1: I'm in the corn fairy right now, but my clubs suck.
- 6:15Speaker 1: And so I was like, oh, I have money. I'm
- 6:17Speaker 1: an adult. I don't have to ask a mention. So
- 6:19Speaker 1: I spent eighty eight dollars in coins to buy a
- 6:22Speaker 1: set of clubs. I can see if you're a kid, though,
- 6:24Speaker 1: not only the clubs that make you better, but the
- 6:27Speaker 1: clothes spending.
- 6:28Speaker 4: Yeah you look good, No, no, no, but actually the
- 6:31Speaker 4: clothes make you better too, right now they don't oh
- 6:32Speaker 4: they don't know. Oh okay, they can make you.
- 6:35Speaker 1: They make you feel better, like confidence good, feel good effect.
- 6:40Speaker 4: What does eighty dollars give you? Like like not specifically,
- 6:43Speaker 4: but are you going to jump straight to PGA now?
- 6:45Speaker 1: No, you just get better clubs like the I started with,
- 6:48Speaker 1: like the factory wood. This is so lame, but I'm
- 6:50Speaker 1: gonna tell you I really had the moment of I
- 6:52Speaker 1: see where kids can get in trouble. Yeah, but they
- 6:54Speaker 1: don't have their own money.
- 6:55Speaker 6: This is foreign to me. I didn't even know this
- 6:56Speaker 6: is a thing.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Yeah, So I had like the factory woods, factory irons,
- 6:59Speaker 1: and just like if you were to go and to
- 7:01Speaker 1: play it against sports and buy an old set of
- 7:03Speaker 1: clubs from fifteen years ago, they just don't have the
- 7:05Speaker 1: technology of the new ones. So that's how they make
- 7:08Speaker 1: these clubs. When you very first start out and you
- 7:10Speaker 1: have to, like in the amateur you have to qualify
- 7:12Speaker 1: and hopefully get on the corn ferry. It's just so
- 7:14Speaker 1: hard with the clubs where your max drive goes to
- 7:16Speaker 1: forty and people are going to seventy and to eighty
- 7:19Speaker 1: past you, which makes a harder iron shot and your
- 7:20Speaker 1: iron suck. So you're like, man, I could get a
- 7:22Speaker 1: lot better if I had better clubs, just like in
- 7:24Speaker 1: real life. So I spent eighty eight bucks and got
- 7:26Speaker 1: like forty five hundred coins and I bought a set
- 7:28Speaker 1: of clubs, and then I was gonna buy like some clothes,
- 7:31Speaker 1: and I'm like, what am I doing?
- 7:32Speaker 4: I might not play this game again. It's a nice polo,
- 7:35Speaker 4: and I just made the note of clothes. That's dumb,
- 7:39Speaker 4: I wrote.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Spending money on PS five. I see where kids could
- 7:41Speaker 1: get in trouble doing this.
- 7:42Speaker 4: They pay to win baby esp as what they're playing
- 7:44Speaker 4: with their friends, and they want to look better like
- 7:45Speaker 4: Skins whenever you're playing Call of Duty or you're playing Fortnite,
- 7:49Speaker 4: like all that. Now, my son gave me. He came
- 7:52Speaker 4: to me last night with a five dollars bill and said, Dad,
- 7:54Speaker 4: I need something for two k I'll give you the
- 7:56Speaker 4: money and then you you buy it. Because he doesn't
- 7:58Speaker 4: have an account like my account hack, so I don't
- 8:00Speaker 4: put my credit card on there. So now I have
- 8:02Speaker 4: to manually go in there and put my credit card
- 8:04Speaker 4: for any purchase they want, which is awesome because they
- 8:07Speaker 4: don't do what you did and just click a button
- 8:08Speaker 4: and like eighty dollars got a new Skins. But yeah,
- 8:11Speaker 4: he bought something for five bucks last night because it
- 8:13Speaker 4: was gonna make him better.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Now you can play from scratch and you can earn everything,
- 8:18Speaker 1: but it's just gonna take you ten years.
- 8:19Speaker 4: What's the fun in that, though.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Well, the fun would be building something.
- 8:23Speaker 4: I just know.
- 8:23Speaker 1: I probably wouldn't play much, but I've played a bit.
- 8:25Speaker 1: I've played a few times this weekend. I just need
- 8:27Speaker 1: something when I wake up at two in the morning
- 8:29Speaker 1: and they can't sleep that I can just veg out
- 8:33Speaker 1: on and that PGA games pretty fun. It's like the Masters,
- 8:38Speaker 1: you try to get there. I'm still in the corn Ferry.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I've only made the cut and the Corner Fairy once.
- 8:43Speaker 1: I've played four rounds. I got cut both times, and
- 8:46Speaker 1: then my new club, so I did make the cut
- 8:48Speaker 1: at least I think I finished. I go forty four.
- 8:49Speaker 6: You play a full eighteen? Yeah, okay, simulated? Well, you
- 8:54Speaker 6: play it simulated like as soon as you hit it,
- 8:57Speaker 6: like you go to the next I don't know.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Do you know how golf orks? But I haven't played
- 9:01Speaker 1: the video game. It's like playing basketball or football anything
- 9:04Speaker 1: else on.
- 9:06Speaker 6: Playing by yourself or with other ones or what.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I don't play online, okay, okay, but I don't know
- 9:11Speaker 1: how you'd play that online because you have to be
- 9:13Speaker 1: timed specific to start a tournament, where basketball you're on
- 9:17Speaker 1: a lot.
- 9:17Speaker 4: I don't know. Could you play as as a existing
- 9:21Speaker 4: PGA player?
- 9:22Speaker 1: Yes, if you're doing and I'm not gonna spend any
- 9:24Speaker 1: more time talking about this interesting. If you're doing like, uh,
- 9:29Speaker 1: play now, you can be a shuffler. You can be
- 9:32Speaker 1: whomever okay and do it.
- 9:33Speaker 4: Yeah, but you can't be like John rom because he's
- 9:36Speaker 4: player to live.
- 9:37Speaker 1: I don't know. I didn't go through it interesting. You
- 9:39Speaker 1: can be speed, you could be whomever. I don't know.
- 9:41Speaker 1: If it's PGA, I don't know. If it's people can
- 9:43Speaker 1: just get their likeness. I don't know. Because it's E sports,
- 9:45Speaker 1: could be people to just sell their likeness to EA sports.
- 9:48Speaker 1: But it's pretty fun. I think if you and I
- 9:50Speaker 1: got on it and played it together, we'd have a
- 9:51Speaker 1: good time doing it. No, you don't play games.
- 9:55Speaker 4: I still have my console though. Yeah, but you don't
- 9:57Speaker 4: play I could.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You don't play by the way I saw a comment,
- 10:02Speaker 1: almost didn't. I'm gonna bring it up.
- 10:04Speaker 6: Oh, here we go.
- 10:06Speaker 1: You look triggered, not triggered. I just think that you're
- 10:09Speaker 1: a liar.
- 10:10Speaker 4: Who Yeah, Wow, that's quite the accusation.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Well, I think you're misleading in your comment and it's
- 10:19Speaker 1: about golf and you wrote it on Instagram. Anything come
- 10:22Speaker 1: to mine?
- 10:23Speaker 4: Mm hmmm. I wrote a comment on Instagram, Yeah, and
- 10:27Speaker 4: I thought it was kind of misleading. Was it your page?
- 10:31Speaker 1: It was either mine, probably probably mine, or maybe yours?
- 10:34Speaker 4: Was it a comment to the our golf trip.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Kind of a comment to somebody that wrote, so there's
- 10:41Speaker 1: a picture. It was either something I posted or something
- 10:43Speaker 1: Eddie posted. It doesn't matter and oh the score. Okay,
- 10:46Speaker 1: this is what Eddie said. Someone said, Eddie, hide you
- 10:49Speaker 1: play something you wrote eighty nine because Eddi and I
- 10:51Speaker 1: both shot at eighty nine on that course, correct, And
- 10:53Speaker 1: that guy thought said something like, oh, I thought you'd
- 10:54Speaker 1: play better that. He goes, well, my arm's still broken.
- 10:57Speaker 1: I'm still healing from it. Eddie's not better than an
- 10:59Speaker 1: eighty nine player in his life ever on a new course,
- 11:01Speaker 1: on a new course. You're not.
- 11:02Speaker 4: You're not.
- 11:03Speaker 5: I'm not either.
- 11:03Speaker 1: I've shot well, I've shot seventy eight, and I'm not
- 11:05Speaker 1: better than an eighty nine player.
- 11:07Speaker 4: Since I broke my arm, which is accurate, I can't.
- 11:10Speaker 4: I'm shooting in the hundreds now like which I've never done.
- 11:13Speaker 1: You shot you shot at eighty nine, and he said,
- 11:16Speaker 1: I'm still working out my arms. I only shot at
- 11:18Speaker 1: eighty nine.
- 11:18Speaker 5: Now.
- 11:19Speaker 1: That was so misleading to make you think he's some
- 11:21Speaker 1: seventies golfer, and he's not.
- 11:23Speaker 5: You're not.
- 11:23Speaker 4: I'm not a seventies golfer.
- 11:25Speaker 1: So admit that you you were the opposite of Sandbagan.
- 11:30Speaker 1: What's the opposite of sandbaging?
- 11:32Speaker 4: Uh, rock bagon? Yeah, sure, it's something heaviest sandag sand coming.
- 11:36Speaker 1: I don't know, but you made the guy think you're
- 11:38Speaker 1: a lot better except for your broken arm, and that
- 11:40Speaker 1: eighty nine is a low score for you. Not true.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Eighty nine is about what you would shoot with a
- 11:45Speaker 1: healthy arm.
- 11:46Speaker 4: My point was if my arm was healthy, who knows
- 11:48Speaker 4: what I could That.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Was at your point, And I do know, because I've
- 11:51Speaker 1: got to do one hundred times.
- 11:52Speaker 4: I could shot in the sixties.
- 11:53Speaker 1: No, you couldn't because you never have.
- 11:55Speaker 5: This is like daddy hit mama.
- 11:56Speaker 4: Man like this, you feel uncomfortable.
- 11:59Speaker 1: I saw it like a week ago and Eddie was like, yeah, man,
- 12:02Speaker 1: MAM's only shot eighty nine this time. But ma mo,
- 12:04Speaker 1: I'm still healing. And I'm like, dude, if you had
- 12:06Speaker 1: the healthiest arm in your life, you wouldn't have shot
- 12:10Speaker 1: better than eighty nine. Yeah, not generally, that's my point.
- 12:14Speaker 4: You wouldn't have because I've been playing way worse after
- 12:17Speaker 4: I broke my arm. The whot I'm telling you, I know,
- 12:20Speaker 4: I know I could have shot in the eighty one,
- 12:22Speaker 4: even it wasn't.
- 12:23Speaker 1: About your broken arm. You got tired playing the part
- 12:25Speaker 1: three and you were like.
- 12:25Speaker 4: That was a part three. We're not talking about that.
- 12:28Speaker 6: If you would have shot like one hundred something and
- 12:29Speaker 6: said that then that's normal, then you'd be like.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Oh okay, I'd have been like absolutely accurate. But he
- 12:33Speaker 1: shot his normal score that he normally shoots. Yes, if
- 12:37Speaker 1: I shot, I shot at eighty nine a day, I
- 12:39Speaker 1: was like, I feel pretty good. Never played this course?
- 12:42Speaker 1: Yeah great? Could I have shot better?
- 12:44Speaker 4: Sure?
- 12:44Speaker 1: What I've liked to have shot, like a eighty four.
- 12:46Speaker 1: That's like a really good round for me. In eighty
- 12:49Speaker 1: four and I'm not good, But I was like eight
- 12:51Speaker 1: eighty I not stop, just stop. I'm triggered because you're
- 12:55Speaker 1: a liar.
- 12:56Speaker 4: It's funny, is how you interpreted that.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Okay, I'm just gonna find it, read it then and
- 13:00Speaker 1: then we can all interpret it. If that's what we
- 13:01Speaker 1: have to do.
- 13:02Speaker 5: Yeah, let's let's get into it.
- 13:04Speaker 1: You may go to and I.
- 13:05Speaker 4: Think it was on mine because I posted something and
- 13:09Speaker 4: then here, okay, Mike, would you please read what happened?
- 13:11Speaker 4: Someone asked him, what you shoot? He said, eighty nine.
- 13:14Speaker 6: I'm still trying to get back to where I was
- 13:16Speaker 6: before I broke my arm.
- 13:17Speaker 1: That's where you were.
- 13:22Speaker 4: That I shot.
- 13:24Speaker 1: No, you wouldn't have. That's the average of where you
- 13:27Speaker 1: were before I broke your arm.
- 13:28Speaker 4: I feel like I played a great liar, Listen, I
- 13:31Speaker 4: feel like I played a great round that day, a
- 13:34Speaker 4: great round despite my arms still not being where it
- 13:37Speaker 4: used to be.
- 13:38Speaker 6: Now, when you say not where it used to be,
- 13:40Speaker 6: does it hurt or do you feel like it's not
- 13:42Speaker 6: as flexible?
- 13:43Speaker 4: Like?
- 13:43Speaker 6: What does that mean?
- 13:44Speaker 4: Honestly, asked Brandon, Like there was one swing where he
- 13:46Speaker 4: heard it like pop.
- 13:48Speaker 5: I did hear pop? And I haven't seen your the
- 13:50Speaker 5: swing before.
- 13:51Speaker 1: I'm telling you he shot the same scores.
- 13:53Speaker 4: Okay, Well, don't trust him, Brandon keep saying, keep talking.
- 13:58Speaker 5: It was an abnormally loud pop.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Yeah, you ain't hearing my stuff?
- 14:01Speaker 7: Pop?
- 14:02Speaker 6: Yeah, January, that's true.
- 14:06Speaker 5: My niece popped like I showing a cartlage.
- 14:09Speaker 4: Out of everyone.
- 14:10Speaker 1: I tore my shoulder and my rotator cuff I tore, like,
- 14:14Speaker 1: so we all have stuff that could have been your
- 14:16Speaker 1: back talking about it.
- 14:18Speaker 4: I should have just said eighty nine and left it there. Yes,
- 14:21Speaker 4: eighty nine, But you're like you're trying to like trying
- 14:24Speaker 4: to get it was eighty four moving.
- 14:28Speaker 1: On this story in New Mexico about the kid, the
- 14:31Speaker 1: pete and the water cooler or the other team. So
- 14:34Speaker 1: I want to read you the story, but also my
- 14:36Speaker 1: mind's blown. So they've already they're not charging him. So
- 14:41Speaker 1: I want to tell you this to begin with, a
- 14:42Speaker 1: sixteen year old junior varsity baseball player from Rio Rancho
- 14:46Speaker 1: High School, New Mexico, admitted to urinating in a rival
- 14:48Speaker 1: team's water jug This is during a game against La
- 14:52Speaker 1: Cueva High School. This is back in March. The incident
- 14:55Speaker 1: led to the suspension of the entire Rio Rancho JV team.
- 14:59Speaker 1: The Sandoval County District Attorney's Office decided on June third
- 15:02Speaker 1: not to pursue charges, stating that the act did not
- 15:05Speaker 1: meet New Mexico's legal definition of battery. Technically, no, no,
- 15:12Speaker 1: you can do anything to anybody's food in New Mexico.
- 15:14Speaker 4: Basically, what on earth?
- 15:17Speaker 1: A sixteen year old junior varsity player from Rio Rancho
- 15:20Speaker 1: High School in New Mexico admitted to urinating. The Santa
- 15:23Speaker 1: Bal County District Attorney's Office decided not to pursue the charge.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Of stating that the act didn't meet the legal definition
- 15:29Speaker 1: of battery, which requires unlawful touching in a rude or
- 15:32Speaker 1: insolent way. The decision is upset summing community, who worry
- 15:35Speaker 1: it since the wrong message to students about accountability. Also,
- 15:38Speaker 1: messing people's food they don't really have from what I read,
- 15:41Speaker 1: they don't really have food laws where if you mess
- 15:43Speaker 1: somebody's food or what they're eating, drinking, consuming, it doesn't matter.
- 15:47Speaker 4: They should move that up on the list of stuff
- 15:49Speaker 4: to talk about, like the next board meeting, the next house.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Isn't that crazy that nothing is going to happen to
- 15:57Speaker 1: the kid legally for peeing in somebody else's water container
- 16:01Speaker 1: and they were drinking it.
- 16:02Speaker 6: Yeah, that's that's terrible, that's awful.
- 16:04Speaker 4: You may not have the answer to this, but did
- 16:06Speaker 4: they catch him pee in it or did somebody taste it?
- 16:09Speaker 1: I don't know if they drink it or not.
- 16:11Speaker 5: Note to self, pack a lunch if you're going to New.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Mexico Rio Rancho ain't doing it. Yeah, that's crazy. Huh yeah,
- 16:21Speaker 1: Hey what do you think about that? Giants fan?
- 16:23Speaker 4: Oh dude, well, I mean tell them a story that
- 16:25Speaker 4: is crazy? Did you guys see this. I think they're
- 16:27Speaker 4: playing the Braves in San Francisco, and they the Braves
- 16:32Speaker 4: throw like they hit a shot out of the outfield
- 16:34Speaker 4: guys on third coming home, so the guy in the
- 16:36Speaker 4: outfield launches it to home trying to get the guy out,
- 16:39Speaker 4: and then another ball just shows up. So at home
- 16:42Speaker 4: plate there are two balls flying in the air and
- 16:45Speaker 4: you can hear the announcer go, oh my gosh, that clown,
- 16:48Speaker 4: some clown in the upper deck just threw that ball
- 16:49Speaker 4: down there, which players are like, this is so dangerous. Yeah,
- 16:54Speaker 4: like we could all get hurt down here or whatever.
- 16:56Speaker 4: No one has gotten caught for this. They don't know
- 16:59Speaker 4: what fan threw it or what get it from behind? Yeah, okay,
- 17:02Speaker 4: he threw it over the net and it landed right
- 17:04Speaker 4: around home plate, right around dude. The timing was amazing.
- 17:07Speaker 1: They should kick the guy out because it's a guy
- 17:09Speaker 1: and definitely a woman. Uh once once, once they figure
- 17:13Speaker 1: out who does he's he's now banned three year band.
- 17:16Speaker 4: They have cameras all over there, right because it was
- 17:19Speaker 4: from in the stadium. Oh yeah, he was not from
- 17:21Speaker 4: He didn't throw it over the stadium. There's a camera somewhere.
- 17:24Speaker 1: They'll catch him three year band of any Major League
- 17:26Speaker 1: Baseball game if he does anything stupid again, Uh, your
- 17:30Speaker 1: band for live and no peeing in water jukes.
- 17:34Speaker 4: No, I agree. Have you ever seen anyone throw a
- 17:36Speaker 4: ball in? Like, I mean, it's crazy A shock that.
- 17:39Speaker 4: Like I saw it, and I'm like, that's crazy, and
- 17:41Speaker 4: then I thought, I've never seen that before. I'm surprised
- 17:43Speaker 4: it hasn't happened. All right.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I've seen people throw balls back after home runs. Yeah,
- 17:48Speaker 1: and the other team hits it out, you throw it
- 17:50Speaker 1: back in.
- 17:50Speaker 4: I love that.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Yeah, but I've never seen that before, to confuse the play.
- 17:54Speaker 1: That's kind of funny. Let to be honest though, it's
- 17:55Speaker 1: kind of funny too. It works out. It's kind of
- 17:58Speaker 1: funny you're confusing the catcher. Yeah, that's kind of funny.
- 18:03Speaker 1: All right, All take a break and we'll come back.

- 19:12Speaker 1: As the Baseball College World Series is coming up, they
- 19:15Speaker 1: do something to this bar in Omaha where the team
- 19:18Speaker 1: that buys the most jello shots ends up winning this thing.
- 19:20Speaker 1: It's not a real trophy or anything, but it's tradition
- 19:25Speaker 1: that you kind of award the team that gets the
- 19:27Speaker 1: drunkest the championship at this bar. And every year they
- 19:29Speaker 1: keep up with the team that's ordered and drank the
- 19:31Speaker 1: most jello shots.
- 19:32Speaker 5: And it was.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Novel and real for a while, but then it just
- 19:37Speaker 1: turned into rich people buying a bunch of jello shots
- 19:39Speaker 1: and not stupid. And so people want the bar to go. No,
- 19:43Speaker 1: if you're not gonna drink them, eat them, maybe eating
- 19:46Speaker 1: a jello shot, maybe a little bit of both. Yeah,
- 19:48Speaker 1: if you're not gonna do it, if you're not gonna
- 19:50Speaker 1: do it here and pay for it here, then we
- 19:52Speaker 1: shouldn't count it. That's what people want the bar to do.
- 19:54Speaker 1: But think how much money these bar, this bar bar
- 19:56Speaker 1: specifically is making. If rich people are just loading up
- 19:59Speaker 1: money and throwing it in so their team can win.
- 20:01Speaker 1: If I were this bar, I would not shut down
- 20:03Speaker 1: that way. How we're doing it? Like, yes, is it
- 20:06Speaker 1: not as fun? Is it gaming the system? If rich
- 20:08Speaker 1: people do it? Yes, But this bar probably waits all
- 20:11Speaker 1: year for this to happen so they can do the
- 20:13Speaker 1: jellow shot challenge, and so I see a lot of
- 20:15Speaker 1: people upset about it, but they're not thinking about what
- 20:17Speaker 1: if you were the small bar in Omaha. They probably
- 20:20Speaker 1: wait all year for this thing to happen.
- 20:22Speaker 4: Have you been to Omaha?
- 20:23Speaker 1: Yes?
- 20:24Speaker 4: What's that like?
- 20:25Speaker 1: I went to the College World Series a couple of
- 20:26Speaker 1: years ago. A few years agohen Arkansas was in What
- 20:29Speaker 1: do you mean?
- 20:30Speaker 4: I've just never been to Omaha.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Omaha a few times. Just in general, I.
- 20:33Speaker 4: Feel like little town in Middle America, not much going on,
- 20:37Speaker 4: so like.
- 20:37Speaker 1: A county crow Song.
- 20:41Speaker 5: Omaha.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Omaha is a cool town. Creighton's there. They have a
- 20:46Speaker 1: good college sports. It's clean. When we went, we flew
- 20:52Speaker 1: in and out the same day because we went to
- 20:54Speaker 1: watch a baseball game with all sighing. It sucks out
- 20:57Speaker 1: of Florida State beatis College World Series? No, it's nice.
- 21:01Speaker 1: It's it's a medium sized town. It's not a small town.
- 21:05Speaker 5: It's bigger than I thought.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Have you been You played shows there.
- 21:09Speaker 4: Or something fun stuff to do around the stadium.
- 21:12Speaker 1: I don't you think I went for a whole tour.
- 21:15Speaker 5: The board.
- 21:16Speaker 1: No, I landed. We went and walked down, got something
- 21:18Speaker 1: to eat, went to the game. We were pissed. We
- 21:21Speaker 1: got back on the plane and went home.
- 21:22Speaker 4: It's not a bad question. He is the wrong for
- 21:24Speaker 4: you asking.
- 21:25Speaker 1: Me if you had four nights there, what would you
- 21:27Speaker 1: do each? And I don't know. Have they got nothing branded?
- 21:31Speaker 1: It's like any other medium sized town.
- 21:33Speaker 5: I got five. It's five hundred thousand population.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Did you google that?
- 21:37Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 21:37Speaker 1: I was just super fan. Okay, I think it's like
- 21:45Speaker 1: any other medium sized town. They don't have pro sports,
- 21:48Speaker 1: but they're probably not big enough, but they are big
- 21:51Speaker 1: enough to have some major college teams.
- 21:55Speaker 4: How long have they been doing the World Series? Because
- 21:57Speaker 4: to me is just random that the College World Series
- 22:00Speaker 4: isn't Omaha Brow.
- 22:01Speaker 1: It's because they built kind of the infrastructure to host it.
- 22:05Speaker 1: The stadium. It's like Oklahoma City. So the University of
- 22:08Speaker 1: Oklahoma didn't start winning because they didn't make the College
- 22:14Speaker 1: Well Series go to Oklahoma City because of all their winning.
- 22:16Speaker 1: It was in Oklahoma City because they built that park
- 22:18Speaker 1: there way before Oklahoma got really good at softball. Oh
- 22:22Speaker 1: so people are like, well, they go to home field
- 22:23Speaker 1: advantage if they play it there every year. Of course,
- 22:26Speaker 1: it's like they built that way before Oklahoma was good. Yeah,
- 22:28Speaker 1: it just so happens. Oklahoma also got really good, like
- 22:31Speaker 1: the best ever. So I don't know. I've been there
- 22:34Speaker 1: enough to know.
- 22:34Speaker 4: I'll ask some other people. You get a real answer.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Are you sure you're gonna ask?
- 22:39Speaker 5: No? Do one thing that I was surprised. I used
- 22:42Speaker 5: to play guitar for Brett Eldridge.
- 22:44Speaker 6: Hey, shout out, Hey, big flecks.
- 22:47Speaker 5: And we opened the Taylor Swift Tour. Allright, bigger flight. No,
- 22:52Speaker 5: but it was in Omaha. The opening night was in
- 22:54Speaker 5: Omaha at this massive arena. I'm like, why are we
- 22:57Speaker 5: in Omaha? And apparently because it's in the middle of everything.
- 23:02Speaker 5: That's where a lot of tours start because the the
- 23:05Speaker 5: routing makes it.
- 23:06Speaker 4: Geographically it's centrally located. Yeah.
- 23:09Speaker 1: So based on Major League Baseball historical data, I did
- 23:13Speaker 1: not mean to start this a batting average of oh
- 23:15Speaker 1: and two. The battery gets on a batting average of
- 23:19Speaker 1: one sixty Oh.
- 23:21Speaker 4: This is your stat that you didn't have got it? Okay?
- 23:24Speaker 4: I was on Omaha.
- 23:25Speaker 1: So if they have O two, about sixteen percent of
- 23:27Speaker 1: at bats reach base Wow, thought, yeah, so let me
- 23:32Speaker 1: see what about three to oh m? A three oh
- 23:40Speaker 1: count eighty. I don't think anything's going.
- 23:43Speaker 6: To be eight hundred.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Do you know sports or no?
- 23:46Speaker 4: Not really?
- 23:46Speaker 1: Okay, sports batting average on three hundred if you're O three, okay,
- 23:53Speaker 1: I mean we could do all that in between, but
- 23:54Speaker 1: that's basically both sides the randred.
- 23:57Speaker 4: What's the percentage on that? Oh? No, right, three out
- 24:01Speaker 4: of ten.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:03Speaker 5: I used to play baseball with Bruce Springsteen.
- 24:05Speaker 8: Okay, okay, what a flex? He doesn't say anything, but
- 24:13Speaker 8: when he does, everything's a flex. He says nothing until
- 24:19Speaker 8: it's everything and everything's a flex.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Okay, We're gonna go now and talk with Brandon Marcelo.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Brandon Marcelo one of our favorite guests when it comes
- 24:28Speaker 1: to college football. He's usually on with us a lot
- 24:31Speaker 1: during the year, but we want to talk about what
- 24:33Speaker 1: just happened where all of a sudden, now teams are
- 24:36Speaker 1: going to pay players and they're limiting nil deals to
- 24:40Speaker 1: it has to be six hundred dollars or below, or
- 24:43Speaker 1: like a clearing house has to view it. So instead
- 24:46Speaker 1: of me get on here and just guess a bunch,
- 24:47Speaker 1: we're gonna talk to Brandon Marcelo now from twenty four
- 24:49Speaker 1: to seven Sports, and here he is. Brandon Marcelo on
- 24:53Speaker 1: with Brandon Marcelo, who as soon as I started reading
- 24:56Speaker 1: this House versus NCAA settlement, I thought I shall read
- 25:00Speaker 1: no more. I would just get random Marcelo on because
- 25:04Speaker 1: I just need you to walk me through this. So
- 25:07Speaker 1: from the start, first of all, old athletes are getting paid, right,
- 25:11Speaker 1: not all athletes, old ones though from like I don't know,
- 25:14Speaker 1: fifteen years ago or something.
- 25:16Speaker 9: Yeah, for the past since twenty sixteen, Any former athletes
- 25:22Speaker 9: among those power conferences and everything are eligible to be paid.
- 25:26Speaker 9: And I think about three hundred almost four hundred thousand
- 25:30Speaker 9: former athletes have opted in to the settlement former athletes,
- 25:34Speaker 9: so they'll be getting checks over I think the next
- 25:37Speaker 9: like ten years if I recall, and the pay range
- 25:41Speaker 9: is all going to depend on kind of a formula
- 25:44Speaker 9: of back payments. So football players are going to receive
- 25:47Speaker 9: the majority of it, which is seventy five percent of
- 25:49Speaker 9: the about two point five billion dollars right now, and
- 25:54Speaker 9: then it kind of de escalates from down there, for
- 25:56Speaker 9: like fifteen percent for men's basketball, five percent for women's basketball,
- 26:01Speaker 9: and five percent I think for the remaining sports.
- 26:04Speaker 1: So in this answer may not exist yet, but a
- 26:06Speaker 1: player like a Johnny Manziel or a Tim Tebow. Will
- 26:09Speaker 1: they get more or is it all every player that's
- 26:11Speaker 1: opted in gets the equal sliver based on their sport.
- 26:14Speaker 9: Yeah, based off their sport equal sliver. So Johnny Manziel
- 26:19Speaker 9: will not be getting more money a Johnny Manziel type
- 26:23Speaker 9: of none.
- 26:23Speaker 4: Yea, yeah, okay, So that was the first part, little part,
- 26:26Speaker 4: but now it's and I asked this for sports reasons
- 26:29Speaker 4: but also a selfish reason.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Let's talk this part. First. I can't give a player
- 26:35Speaker 1: I think it's up to six hundred bucks without it
- 26:37Speaker 1: going through a clearinghouse now, right, So that affects me
- 26:40Speaker 1: in that way, But also how does that affect these
- 26:44Speaker 1: nil collectives that we're giving tons of money to players
- 26:47Speaker 1: and it's not really for name, image and likeness.
- 26:49Speaker 9: It neuters them at least that's the practice of it all,
- 26:52Speaker 9: the belief of it all. As you said, anything over
- 26:55Speaker 9: six hundred dollars, which practically every an IL deal is,
- 26:57Speaker 9: it's got to go through this clearing out and they
- 26:59Speaker 9: have to show that you're actually getting a return on
- 27:01Speaker 9: your investment. Here if you're a booster giving that amount
- 27:04Speaker 9: of money, which means if I'm paying you six hundred dollars,
- 27:08Speaker 9: better be doing six hundred dollars.
- 27:09Speaker 7: Worth of work.
- 27:10Speaker 9: Now, a lot of these deals, as you said, for example,
- 27:12Speaker 9: like Niko Iamaliaba where he was getting reportedly an eight
- 27:15Speaker 9: million dollar deal over four years, how do you prove
- 27:19Speaker 9: to the clearing house that he's doing two million dollars
- 27:22Speaker 9: worth of work other than playing football two million dollars
- 27:25Speaker 9: worth of work to return on that investment. So it's
- 27:29Speaker 9: going to be very hard for a lot of these
- 27:31Speaker 9: boosters and collectives that will still exist to a certain
- 27:34Speaker 9: extent to prove like what exactly is he doing on this?
- 27:37Speaker 9: But I guarantee you there are going to be a
- 27:39Speaker 9: lot of schools and NIL collectives are going to start.
- 27:42Speaker 9: They've already been brainstorming trying to be creative so that hey,
- 27:47Speaker 9: we are going to pay him this money, so you
- 27:48Speaker 9: bet we have to have these players actually do something
- 27:51Speaker 9: in return.
- 27:52Speaker 7: I think you're going to see less.
- 27:53Speaker 9: Money obviously come from the NIL collectives toward players, but
- 27:56Speaker 9: it's not going to stop the flow. You're still going
- 27:58Speaker 9: to have some very big deals there because one a
- 28:01Speaker 9: quarterback out there, say in arch Mainning, will be able
- 28:05Speaker 9: to draw that type of money. You can get a
- 28:07Speaker 9: three million dollar INIL collective contract. If you say you're
- 28:10Speaker 9: able to sign with a Nike or even a regional
- 28:13Speaker 9: restaurant chain or something like that, but you better go
- 28:16Speaker 9: out there on TV or social media or something to
- 28:19Speaker 9: promote that instead of just getting a a check handed
- 28:22Speaker 9: to you for not doing anything in return.
- 28:23Speaker 1: How does this affect kids in high school though that
- 28:26Speaker 1: have no NIL value yet and they're getting paid at
- 28:29Speaker 1: a high school to come in.
- 28:30Speaker 9: Yeah, they're pretty much just going to have to be
- 28:33Speaker 9: dependent on what they get with the revenue share part
- 28:35Speaker 9: of it, which is separate from NIL.
- 28:36Speaker 7: Now.
- 28:37Speaker 9: The revenue share twenty point five million dollar cap will
- 28:41Speaker 9: then be shared with athletes, and most schools are choosing
- 28:45Speaker 9: to only spread that money across about like six sports.
- 28:48Speaker 9: So a lot of schools on average have about nineteen
- 28:50Speaker 9: sports on their campus. A lot of them are just
- 28:52Speaker 9: going to share that with about six sports. Most of
- 28:55Speaker 9: that money, of course, is going to go to football
- 28:57Speaker 9: in men's basketball. A lot of schools are basing it
- 29:00Speaker 9: off of the back payment schedule, which is seventy five
- 29:03Speaker 9: percent football fifteen percent for men's basketball. Other schools are
- 29:07Speaker 9: choosing to follow their own revenue streams. So, for example,
- 29:11Speaker 9: if you're a Tennessee. I'm not saying Tennessee's doing this.
- 29:14Speaker 9: Big're at Tennessee and say eighty five eighty six percent
- 29:17Speaker 9: of your revenue generated is from the football program.
- 29:21Speaker 7: Some schools are saying, well, we're going to share.
- 29:23Speaker 9: Eighty five percent of that twenty point five million dollar
- 29:25Speaker 9: cap with our football players, and how they choose to
- 29:28Speaker 9: distribute that money within the football program is really up
- 29:31Speaker 9: to the discretion of the schools. So if college football
- 29:35Speaker 9: teams decide to kind of follow the NFL model, which
- 29:38Speaker 9: a lot of them really are already, you could see
- 29:41Speaker 9: a football quarterback, for example, probably fetch between two to
- 29:45Speaker 9: three point five million dollars because if you look through
- 29:49Speaker 9: the NFL, that's about the certain percentage amount that they
- 29:53Speaker 9: get from their own salary cap in the NFL. So
- 29:56Speaker 9: for basing it off the NFL model, you're still going
- 29:59Speaker 9: to have college quarterbacks out there getting two to three
- 30:01Speaker 9: point five million dollars a year, and that's based solely
- 30:05Speaker 9: off of the revenue sharing part of it, not in
- 30:08Speaker 9: addition to what they might get from their nil collective.
- 30:11Speaker 1: So it's a salary cap we have general managers. I
- 30:14Speaker 1: mean it is becoming a little more I would say,
- 30:20Speaker 1: officially not an amateur sport, but a minor league.
- 30:24Speaker 9: Right, yeah, it's semi professional. And listen, what's so interesting
- 30:29Speaker 9: about all of this is that college athletics believes that
- 30:34Speaker 9: now that they have this system in place after the
- 30:36Speaker 9: House settlement, they've created a new College Sports Commission to
- 30:40Speaker 9: oversee the settlement terms, which they will enforce these rules.
- 30:43Speaker 9: They will create this NIL clearinghouse to go through everything.
- 30:47Speaker 9: They're going to expedite rules enforcement, which means that investigations
- 30:51Speaker 9: that we've seen in the NCAA take years and the
- 30:54Speaker 9: CSC should only take months, if not weeks, and that
- 30:58Speaker 9: should help with that. They provide some guardrails there maybe
- 31:01Speaker 9: to corral this system and all the wild West stuff
- 31:03Speaker 9: we've been seeing over the last five years of NIL.
- 31:06Speaker 7: But here's the fundamental.
- 31:08Speaker 9: Issue with college athletics, because every team, every coach, every player,
- 31:13Speaker 9: every administrator is in a competitive environment where it's wins
- 31:16Speaker 9: and losses and everything. Just because they're putting guardrails up
- 31:20Speaker 9: and new rules and a new entity doesn't mean it's
- 31:22Speaker 9: going to be all that much different from what it
- 31:24Speaker 9: is in the past, because in the end, the competitiveness
- 31:27Speaker 9: comes out and every coach, every administrator is going to
- 31:31Speaker 9: try and find a way to go through the rules,
- 31:34Speaker 9: not necessarily break them, but to test them, to strengthen
- 31:37Speaker 9: them to a certain extent where they could be more creative.
- 31:40Speaker 9: So we've seen that throughout history of the NCAA. You know,
- 31:43Speaker 9: goodness gracious, remember years ago they created the Nick Saban
- 31:46Speaker 9: rule because of how he was finding a way to
- 31:49Speaker 9: go about doing more recruiting efforts just by using webcams
- 31:53Speaker 9: at the time, you know, before zooming all that, all
- 31:56Speaker 9: these schools are going to find ways to be more creative,
- 32:00Speaker 9: right to not call it cheating, but a way to
- 32:03Speaker 9: stretch the rules. And that's the fundamental problem with college
- 32:07Speaker 9: athletics and always has been, is that you don't have
- 32:11Speaker 9: guardrails so to speak, where you're punishing someone and saying
- 32:15Speaker 9: we'll just kick you.
- 32:16Speaker 7: Out of this, out of this association.
- 32:19Speaker 9: The threat is there, but they never do it, and
- 32:21Speaker 9: I don't think they're going to do it. And under
- 32:23Speaker 9: this new CSC you know, the last couple of weeks,
- 32:26Speaker 9: the big storyline has been that in the language of
- 32:28Speaker 9: these agreements that they're putting together to be part of
- 32:31Speaker 9: this new organization is that if you don't sign it.
- 32:34Speaker 7: We could kick you out.
- 32:36Speaker 9: Well, sure, but who really believes that they're going to
- 32:40Speaker 9: end up doing that. I don't see it. The NCBLA
- 32:43Speaker 9: has never really done it. And you're just going to
- 32:46Speaker 9: find more stories here over the next couple of years
- 32:49Speaker 9: of people being more creative to find a way to
- 32:52Speaker 9: get a running back an extra one million dollars through
- 32:55Speaker 9: thy NIL collective by doing some type of branding deal.
- 32:59Speaker 9: And I know I'm being a long winded here, but
- 33:02Speaker 9: for example, you know, the last five years, we've seen
- 33:05Speaker 9: an explosion of like hype reels on social media from
- 33:10Speaker 9: all the college colleges and their teams and Bobby, they
- 33:13Speaker 9: look fantastic.
- 33:14Speaker 7: I mean, they win on Emmy.
- 33:15Speaker 9: Awards on this stuff, regional Emmy Awards, and it looks amazing.
- 33:18Speaker 9: And the reason why they're spending all this money for
- 33:20Speaker 9: that is because it's part of their NIL collective. The
- 33:23Speaker 9: NIL Collective has said, hey, sign this deal with us,
- 33:26Speaker 9: and you give us your name, image and likeness, and
- 33:28Speaker 9: we can use yourself to build your own platforms.
- 33:32Speaker 7: So they do these videos because.
- 33:34Speaker 9: It's their way of saying, this is what we're spending
- 33:36Speaker 9: the NIL money on. We're making you bigger, your brand
- 33:40Speaker 9: bigger by doing all these incredible videos and images and
- 33:43Speaker 9: everything like that, And that was a way to kind
- 33:45Speaker 9: of prove it. So is there a way now that
- 33:48Speaker 9: things are going to be under a more of a
- 33:50Speaker 9: harsh spotlight that you can say, all right, let's continue
- 33:53Speaker 9: to those hype videos, but like, let's create our own
- 33:56Speaker 9: production company where we go do short documentaries, short films,
- 34:01Speaker 9: and we signed two or three players and say you
- 34:03Speaker 9: have to do a show with us every week or
- 34:06Speaker 9: be part of this inside documentary where we'll pay you
- 34:10Speaker 9: this certain amount for it, and we'll just continue to
- 34:12Speaker 9: put it out on our social media and it pumps
- 34:13Speaker 9: up our brand. And we already have the assets and
- 34:16Speaker 9: the staff here to be able to do that. Again,
- 34:19Speaker 9: I'm probably giving someone some free ideas out there, but
- 34:21Speaker 9: there's going to be ways that these schools can be
- 34:24Speaker 9: creative to make sure they can push across this six
- 34:27Speaker 9: hundred dollars threshold and prove to the new CSSE that.
- 34:31Speaker 7: They are getting a return on their investment.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Yeah. I could think of ways to launder and al
- 34:34Speaker 1: money already just with me. Let's see exactly. Let's say
- 34:37Speaker 1: there's a program that's a program that I care about,
- 34:40Speaker 1: so we'll use Arkansas here. And they wanted to get
- 34:42Speaker 1: an offensive lineman a colls of f one hundred thousand dollars.
- 34:45Speaker 1: All they have to do is come to me and go, hey, dude,
- 34:46Speaker 1: we give fifty grand. Just hire him to do some
- 34:49Speaker 1: stuff for you on your social to promote your things,
- 34:51Speaker 1: and we can pay and we'll just pay you all
- 34:53Speaker 1: of it and you pay him out of your one
- 34:55Speaker 1: of your big there's so many. I got seven ideas
- 34:58Speaker 1: now and out of lunder. Yeah, it's just a different
- 35:00Speaker 1: way for them to figure It's another strategy they'll have
- 35:04Speaker 1: to invent. But yeah, I know, I listen, Arkansas, you
- 35:07Speaker 1: can reach out. I'm happy to help that ideas. Yeah,
- 35:09Speaker 1: I got a lot of ideas. Okay, So I have
- 35:12Speaker 1: questions though, like schools like a Creighton or schools like
- 35:14Speaker 1: an Oral Roberts that don't have football to each university
- 35:19Speaker 1: have the ability to take whatever that amount of money
- 35:21Speaker 1: is to do it, however they want to.
- 35:22Speaker 9: Do it under the House Settlement terms only those Power
- 35:25Speaker 9: five conferences.
- 35:26Speaker 1: Yeah, so they're not a power five.
- 35:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:29Speaker 9: Yeah, if you're not a Power five, you're not obligated.
- 35:32Speaker 7: To do that.
- 35:32Speaker 9: But we have seen some schools outside the Power five structure,
- 35:36Speaker 9: and some conferences say we're going to participate, but we're
- 35:40Speaker 9: not requiring our schools to do twenty and a half
- 35:43Speaker 9: million dollars. So, for example, the American Conference, which many
- 35:47Speaker 9: people consider to be the top group of six conference
- 35:50Speaker 9: out there right now, they're saying, we want you to spend,
- 35:54Speaker 9: like I camera the exact numbers, so forgive me, but
- 35:56Speaker 9: it's like three an average, about three million dollars a
- 35:58Speaker 9: year to invest in all your programs and share revenue.
- 36:02Speaker 7: That's kind of what they're thinking.
- 36:03Speaker 9: And a lot of other smaller schools they're thinking along
- 36:06Speaker 9: those lines too. A lot of schools are going to
- 36:09Speaker 9: share revenue, it's just going to be nowhere near what
- 36:12Speaker 9: the Power five is doing. What this House settlement terms
- 36:16Speaker 9: do is that it allows them, the other schools, even
- 36:20Speaker 9: outside the settlement, to say, hey, we're going to start
- 36:22Speaker 9: sharing our revenue too, but it's going to be nowhere
- 36:25Speaker 9: near that big number we've seen in the Power five.
- 36:28Speaker 1: In the NFL, there's a minimum the team has to spend,
- 36:30Speaker 1: and a lot of pro sports, right so it keeps
- 36:32Speaker 1: people from just being cheap. Is there a minimum in
- 36:35Speaker 1: that with Power four that they have to spend.
- 36:37Speaker 9: No, they have not set that because they all have
- 36:40Speaker 9: the money, they all know what they're all getting paid.
- 36:42Speaker 9: Because the Big ten, Big twelve, all of them, they
- 36:45Speaker 9: share the same amount of money practically with every school
- 36:48Speaker 9: from their revenue from TV revenue. So they're going, we
- 36:51Speaker 9: know you have the money, so it's up to you
- 36:53Speaker 9: to choose whether you go up to the twenty and
- 36:54Speaker 9: a half million dollars. Now, some schools probably are not
- 36:57Speaker 9: going to go all the way up to twenty and
- 36:58Speaker 9: a half million dollars, but most of them will because
- 37:01Speaker 9: they have the money to do so. Now, the interesting
- 37:04Speaker 9: thing is is the American Conference, as I mentioned, which
- 37:06Speaker 9: is outside this whole settlement terms, they decided that we
- 37:10Speaker 9: have set a minimum. You have to hit this certain
- 37:12Speaker 9: benchmark over the next I think three to five years
- 37:14Speaker 9: of sharing money. Otherwise your own membership in our conference
- 37:19Speaker 9: is at stake. And again that goes back to my
- 37:21Speaker 9: earlier point. They're threatening membership. This has always been something
- 37:25Speaker 9: that's been over the head of schools since the insublay
- 37:28Speaker 9: was really brought about. And will they actually enforce that
- 37:31Speaker 9: if a school doesn't comply, I have my doubts.
- 37:36Speaker 1: I would be interested to see a school and I'll
- 37:38Speaker 1: use the school no offense to Missippi State, but like
- 37:40Speaker 1: Misssippi State, who's really not that great at anything as
- 37:43Speaker 1: far as football, occasionally basketball, but not really not really
- 37:47Speaker 1: right that Mississippi And I was listening to Brandon Walker
- 37:49Speaker 1: talking about this. You know, they don't have any forty
- 37:52Speaker 1: to five hundred companies, right, and they have two schools,
- 37:54Speaker 1: and they don't have a lot of money to spread
- 37:56Speaker 1: out because the boosters aren't working in state for so
- 38:00Speaker 1: they only have a few rich people. That being said,
- 38:02Speaker 1: I could see somebody like Mississippi State going, you know what,
- 38:04Speaker 1: We're going to go all in on freaking basketball, and
- 38:06Speaker 1: they could really turn one of their programs into a
- 38:08Speaker 1: power program by taking fifteen million dollars and going all
- 38:12Speaker 1: into basketball, and at least you have one thing that's awesome.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Do you think that will be something that happens as
- 38:17Speaker 1: well at all?
- 38:18Speaker 7: That's the big question.
- 38:21Speaker 9: Which school is going to be that first school to
- 38:23Speaker 9: completely just almost ignore the revenue sharing portions of the
- 38:30Speaker 9: back payment schedule because again I mentioned it is seventy
- 38:33Speaker 9: five percent football, fifteen percent men's basketball. Right, some schools
- 38:36Speaker 9: are basing their future numbers off of how much revenue
- 38:39Speaker 9: their football program brings in, which is probably about eighty
- 38:42Speaker 9: to eighty five percent, so they'll give it to football.
- 38:45Speaker 9: But if one program just says we're just going to
- 38:47Speaker 9: buck the train and say we're going to give eighty
- 38:49Speaker 9: percent of our money to men's basketball, the problems that
- 38:52Speaker 9: arise there is you're going to open yourself up to
- 38:54Speaker 9: lawsuits not just Title nine stuff, but also from the
- 38:58Speaker 9: football programs themselves or even vice versa men's basketball against football,
- 39:03Speaker 9: because they're going to go, well, this isn't fair, this
- 39:06Speaker 9: isn't worth. The fair market value shows based off the
- 39:09Speaker 9: revenue of this program's generating. It generates nowhere in the
- 39:12Speaker 9: neighborhood of what they're getting right now, and that's going
- 39:17Speaker 9: to be challenged legally. Listen, there's gonna be a lot
- 39:19Speaker 9: of lawsuits stemming from this, lots of them. But instead
- 39:22Speaker 9: of you seeing lawsuits against the NCBLA or even against
- 39:27Speaker 9: the conferences themselves, most of these lawsuits in the future
- 39:30Speaker 9: are going to be against individual schools. So I mean,
- 39:34Speaker 9: in a worst case scenario, best case scenario, which way
- 39:37Speaker 9: we want to take it, you could see like twenty
- 39:39Speaker 9: fifty lawsuits launched here in the first few months of
- 39:42Speaker 9: this thing, and it's again, I think it's just gonna
- 39:45Speaker 9: get crazier before it actually even stabilizes.
- 39:48Speaker 1: Okay, my final thing, let's call it Bobby University. There's
- 39:51Speaker 1: a school power for Bobby University. They hire me to
- 39:54Speaker 1: come and do a four commercial series for them, Like, hey,
- 39:58Speaker 1: come out and you being four of our commercials, give
- 40:00Speaker 1: you one million dollars. Now, that wouldn't be so crazy,
- 40:02Speaker 1: and I'd be okay cool, But what the wink wink
- 40:04Speaker 1: is you also pay eight hundred thousand to that to
- 40:07Speaker 1: different athletes. They're not gonna put in writing anywhere, but
- 40:10Speaker 1: you pay eight hundred thousand to that to these different
- 40:11Speaker 1: athletes that we think to actually promote you and what
- 40:14Speaker 1: you're doing. Dude, I could launder this money legally so quickly.
- 40:19Speaker 1: You just need somebody that's also of value, that's not
- 40:22Speaker 1: a part of the athletic program, and you're paying them
- 40:26Speaker 1: to pay other people. Nothing illegal is happening. I'm in.
- 40:29Speaker 1: I'm in. It's first cool to reach out.
- 40:31Speaker 4: Yes, yes, Bobby University.
- 40:33Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean you're exactly right. I could see that
- 40:37Speaker 9: happening and with others as well, not just you. Bobby
- 40:40Speaker 9: but the thing is, it's like, I'm so interested to
- 40:43Speaker 9: see this nil clearing ouse, like just how hard fisted
- 40:47Speaker 9: they are against people?
- 40:48Speaker 7: Are they going to drop the hammer on people?
- 40:50Speaker 9: I will say that they hired Brian Seeley, an executive
- 40:53Speaker 9: from Major League Baseball who led their legal team and
- 40:57Speaker 9: in their investigative unit. So NMLB has been pretty hard
- 41:00Speaker 9: and their investigations and everything. But again that's within a
- 41:03Speaker 9: professional system with a very strong set of rules and
- 41:07Speaker 9: guidelines they have to adhere to.
- 41:09Speaker 7: And then you've.
- 41:10Speaker 9: Got this where again players are not employees, and yet
- 41:17Speaker 9: still you're hearing these power commissioners saying even as early
- 41:21Speaker 9: late as today, every athlete we talk to says they
- 41:23Speaker 9: don't want to be employees. And the reason why these
- 41:25Speaker 9: commissioners don't want these players to be employees is because
- 41:29Speaker 9: then they can unionize, then they can collectively bargain, which,
- 41:33Speaker 9: to be honest, if that ended up happening, that would
- 41:37Speaker 9: actually be good for these commissioners because then you could
- 41:39Speaker 9: have stronger guidelines that these players have to adhere to
- 41:43Speaker 9: that can maybe circumvent fair market value, which would cut
- 41:46Speaker 9: out the potential of deals like potentially your idea that
- 41:50Speaker 9: you're throwing out there, Bobby. But again, for whatever reason,
- 41:52Speaker 9: these Mustians don't want these players to be termed employees,
- 41:55Speaker 9: which I think again is a big mistake, and it's
- 41:58Speaker 9: just going.
- 41:58Speaker 7: To allow people to be more creative.
- 42:00Speaker 9: With how they spread out their cash and and the
- 42:02Speaker 9: return on investment.
- 42:03Speaker 1: Well, and also if they're employees, they could be contracted,
- 42:07Speaker 1: and if there's a contract, it kind of stops the
- 42:10Speaker 1: one year euro basketball transfer portal type situation we have. Now,
- 42:15Speaker 1: am I wrong there?
- 42:16Speaker 7: I agree with you. I think that's very very likely.
- 42:19Speaker 9: If you're to get collective bargain involved, you could say,
- 42:21Speaker 9: all right, you come to us, we'll give you two
- 42:23Speaker 9: year deal.
- 42:23Speaker 7: We'll give you a three year deal, and to be
- 42:26Speaker 7: quite honest, nothing, I mean some things.
- 42:28Speaker 9: Maybe legally we're stopping them previously with their nil collectives
- 42:31Speaker 9: to do that. So even for example, Bobby, you're familiar
- 42:34Speaker 9: with Arkansas, mad Mia Maliava, a quarterback Miko's brother comes
- 42:39Speaker 9: to Arkansas and only spends the spring there. And now
- 42:42Speaker 9: Arkansas is saying, well, we signed you to a one
- 42:44Speaker 9: year deal and we only got you for a few months,
- 42:48Speaker 9: and we paid you for a few months just to
- 42:50Speaker 9: come out and practice. You didn't play any games, You
- 42:52Speaker 9: didn't actually contribute anything to our product, and what we
- 42:54Speaker 9: end up becoming this fall. We want our buyout money
- 42:58Speaker 9: that you agree to in your comment tracked right now.
- 43:01Speaker 9: But you have lawyers representing him saying this isn't llegal.
- 43:03Speaker 9: You can't do this to a player, he's not an
- 43:05Speaker 9: employee and all that. But if you were just put
- 43:09Speaker 9: these guys as employees, that would give more teeth to
- 43:11Speaker 9: these contracts.
- 43:12Speaker 7: And again it's everything's going to be challenged legally because
- 43:16Speaker 7: this is all new.
- 43:17Speaker 9: But one way to make that so much stronger, I think,
- 43:20Speaker 9: is by terming players either as employees or some special
- 43:24Speaker 9: classification of employees, so we call them student athletes instantly
- 43:28Speaker 9: created that term. Well, create a new term form whether
- 43:31Speaker 9: it's student athlete or whatever. But allow them to be
- 43:33Speaker 9: have a special classification federally where they can quote unquote
- 43:37Speaker 9: unionize or at least be represented at the table for
- 43:39Speaker 9: collective bargaining. And also so they got their voices heard.
- 43:42Speaker 9: When you know the cs he's creating rules and potentially
- 43:46Speaker 9: that the players have no feedback on, Well, bring the
- 43:48Speaker 9: players involved there and then everything will be kosher.
- 43:52Speaker 1: Yeah, we're getting there. The Arkansas freshman quarterback. Things weird
- 43:55Speaker 1: because it's basically a half million bucks and he didn't
- 43:57Speaker 1: play and he left. But this is a terrible precedent
- 43:59Speaker 1: for us their kids to go and grab money and leave.
- 44:02Speaker 1: They could just do a money grab, like they literally
- 44:03Speaker 1: could go get paid with the intention of transferring out.
- 44:08Speaker 1: So I collect a couple hundred thousand bucks and then
- 44:09Speaker 1: I'm really going to head to the school I really
- 44:10Speaker 1: want to go to. Not that everybody has that kind
- 44:12Speaker 1: of leverage to do so, because I think that was
- 44:14Speaker 1: an anomaly of a situation where his big brother Tennessee
- 44:18Speaker 1: going to UCLA, so he's also going to UCLA. But yeah,
- 44:21Speaker 1: like Arkansas, let's not talk about Arkansas. But this is
- 44:24Speaker 1: specific to that what happened the occurrence more than it
- 44:28Speaker 1: is my fandom. But they have to get that money backer,
- 44:32Speaker 1: or the rules have to change, or this is going
- 44:34Speaker 1: to happen more often where a kid just takes the
- 44:35Speaker 1: money and runs.
- 44:37Speaker 7: Yeah, and that's why Arkansas is pursuing it so much.
- 44:39Speaker 7: And yeah, it's a it's.
- 44:41Speaker 9: An angle that very much, you know, concerns you, but
- 44:44Speaker 9: it's national. I'm going to tell you, like I've been
- 44:46Speaker 9: reporting on that and actually broke it that they're pursuing
- 44:49Speaker 9: the money.
- 44:50Speaker 7: And you know, I had so many.
- 44:51Speaker 9: Athletic administrative across the country reaching out to me asking
- 44:54Speaker 9: for details of so are like how are they doing it?
- 44:56Speaker 7: Because we want to maybe do the same thing.
- 44:58Speaker 9: Other people want to go after money that they're losing
- 45:01Speaker 9: because a lot of these kids have signed contracts that
- 45:04Speaker 9: say you need to stay here through this date to
- 45:07Speaker 9: get the full payment of your contract. Also, if you
- 45:10Speaker 9: break it early, you os buyout money. And the issue
- 45:13Speaker 9: is is again toothlessness here. The schools aren't enforcing those contracts.
- 45:18Speaker 9: They're just going, well, we don't want to do that
- 45:20Speaker 9: because that could look bad on us. And also where
- 45:22Speaker 9: it's the legality in that is they're actually strong legal
- 45:24Speaker 9: teth to all this.
- 45:25Speaker 7: And again it goes back to my whole thing.
- 45:26Speaker 9: Since the creation of the INSTABLA, there's threats, oh, if
- 45:29Speaker 9: you don't do this, you can't be a member of
- 45:31Speaker 9: this association, and then they never really follow through. And
- 45:34Speaker 9: again we're still in that space, and I think we're
- 45:36Speaker 9: still going to be in that space after the CSC's
- 45:39Speaker 9: created and revenue sharing starts.
- 45:41Speaker 1: Toly one Brandon, we really appreciate the time. You guys
- 45:44Speaker 1: follow Brandon on Instagram Brandon Marcelo and read his articles

- 45:51Speaker 1: I'm sure as football season comes back around, we'll have
- 45:54Speaker 1: more of a regular occurrence here. We'd love to do
- 45:56Speaker 1: that again. And I know we just messaged you last
- 45:59Speaker 1: minut last night, so thanks for coming on and explaining it,
- 46:02Speaker 1: because I think I would have got everything wrong. I
- 46:03Speaker 1: think I would have said literally everything wrong, and that's
- 46:06Speaker 1: why we needed an expert here. So thank you, Brandon.
- 46:08Speaker 7: Thanks Bobby.
- 46:09Speaker 9: I look forward to one day actually talking football instead
- 46:11Speaker 9: of courtroom proceedings.
- 46:12Speaker 1: Yeah, and I'm glad that's why we had you because
- 46:14Speaker 1: my court room proceeds would have been very wrong and
- 46:17Speaker 1: I would have been sued somehow for being so wrong. So, uh, Brandon,
- 46:20Speaker 1: good to talk to you, and hopefully i'll talk to
- 46:22Speaker 1: you again soon. The NBA Finals are here and Draftking

- 47:30Speaker 1: Two things. We don't talk about a lot here, but
- 47:31Speaker 1: it's really dead sports time. Did you watch and we
- 47:34Speaker 1: watched the tennis match no French Open. I'm so mad
- 47:38Speaker 1: to me either. I just saw the betting odds or
- 47:40Speaker 1: like plus six hundred whatever, it was sixty sixty five hundred.
- 47:44Speaker 1: He was down like forty zero. The guy was Alca.
- 47:48Speaker 1: Yeah we're talking about yeah, whoa. He was way down
- 47:52Speaker 1: and came back and won it. I don't know, I
- 47:55Speaker 1: don't follow tennis much anymore so, but I just saw
- 47:57Speaker 1: all of time with the betting odds. I was like, dang,
- 47:58Speaker 1: you jump on that then.
- 47:59Speaker 6: Yeah, that would have been awesome.
- 48:01Speaker 1: And then the UFC fight. Did you watch it?
- 48:03Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 48:03Speaker 4: It was a bus dude, it was well, it was
- 48:05Speaker 4: a bus because I thought O'Malley, Sugar Sugar Sean Ole,
- 48:09Speaker 4: O'Malley would win that. It was a remake.
- 48:10Speaker 1: He got he got some.
- 48:11Speaker 4: He submitted, dude, he got submitted. It was a rematch.
- 48:14Speaker 4: So they fought last time. He got his butt beat
- 48:17Speaker 4: and then again, dude, he got submitted, tapped out, pretty stupid,
- 48:20Speaker 4: lost some more money. So I'm probably going to take
- 48:23Speaker 4: a break again.
- 48:26Speaker 1: You're taking more breaks than you are on. Is that
- 48:28Speaker 1: even taking a break, or is when you're on the
- 48:30Speaker 1: break you're taking from being off I keep.
- 48:32Speaker 4: Telling myself I'm not going to reload, and then every
- 48:34Speaker 4: week I reload. But like, I really need to take
- 48:37Speaker 4: a break because I lost on that Saturday night and
- 48:40Speaker 4: then I hit on NASCAR, which I never had a Nascar, dude,
- 48:46Speaker 4: that's not a break. Listen, this is an intervention NASCAR.
- 48:49Speaker 4: Nascar is doing it right on prime, dude. So it's
- 48:52Speaker 4: really fun to watch, and if you bet on it,
- 48:54Speaker 4: it's a lot more fun. But I want with Denny Hamlin.
- 48:57Speaker 4: Denny Hamlin, I put a couple of dollars in Denny Hamlin,
- 48:59Speaker 4: he wins the race. I've got twenty five bucks to
- 49:01Speaker 4: play with. And I go and look at golf and
- 49:04Speaker 4: there's a playoff going on at the RBG Canadian Open
- 49:09Speaker 4: whatever that's of course, there's a playoff hole going on.
- 49:14Speaker 4: Two dudes, Sam Burns and Ryan Fox.
- 49:18Speaker 1: I played with Sam Burns. I know, yeah about what
- 49:21Speaker 1: I lost lost.
- 49:22Speaker 4: Yeah, they went four four extra holes and then finally lost.
- 49:28Speaker 4: So I lost all my money, which probably gonna need
- 49:30Speaker 4: a break. Okay, Well, but yeah, I watched UFC. How
- 49:35Speaker 4: much I cost. Yeah, I kind of want to run
- 49:37Speaker 4: something by you guys, because I did try it. I
- 49:40Speaker 4: have no problem paying for UFC. It's eighty dollars. I
- 49:42Speaker 4: think it's worth it. I love UFC. You get all
- 49:45Speaker 4: the early prelims, and the prelims are all on ESPN
- 49:48Speaker 4: Plus you can watch those, but the main card you
- 49:51Speaker 4: have to pay eighty dollars. No problem. I got on
- 49:53Speaker 4: my TV, try to get on the remote. I hit
- 49:56Speaker 4: purchase error. Okay, let me get on my computer scan
- 49:59Speaker 4: the code. Purchase error. So I'm like, man, I'm not
- 50:03Speaker 4: going to get this. But I get on TikTok and
- 50:06Speaker 4: I'm not in it, not with the intention of watching
- 50:08Speaker 4: it on TikTok, but I started scrolling and then you
- 50:11Speaker 4: see this guy like, eh, we're live man USC going
- 50:14Speaker 4: on right now, and he's got his phone on the TV,
- 50:17Speaker 4: and I'm like, well, this is the fight. Yeah, he's
- 50:19Speaker 4: streaming the fight. So I watched the whole fight on
- 50:22Speaker 4: his string. Nothing wrong with okay. And they would have
- 50:27Speaker 4: pulled his feet off TikTok if they hadn't known what
- 50:30Speaker 4: he was doing. Yeah, I've seen that happen before, where
- 50:32Speaker 4: they you're good, hey, don't feel bad. Well, the thing
- 50:34Speaker 4: is too like I did. I did and I lost
- 50:37Speaker 4: on on that fight. Dude, I do but see, here's
- 50:40Speaker 4: the thing. I was screen screen sharing it. You know,
- 50:43Speaker 4: where you get your phone, you put it on your
- 50:44Speaker 4: TV and screen share, but on TikTok it's straight up right,
- 50:49Speaker 4: So it was kind of small on on my TV.
- 50:51Speaker 4: And people started messaging this dude, which he didn't have
- 50:54Speaker 4: to stream this, you know, he's doing out of the
- 50:56Speaker 4: kind of kindness of his heart, and people were like, hey,
- 50:58Speaker 4: can you rotate the phone. He'd rotate the phone and
- 51:00Speaker 4: then the other half people be like, hey, no, man,
- 51:02Speaker 4: I'm screen sharing, Like, well, you go back up, and
- 51:04Speaker 4: then he put it back up. It was a fight
- 51:05Speaker 4: the entire time, and finally him like, man, poor guy,
- 51:08Speaker 4: Like he's just doing this to be nice, and people
- 51:10Speaker 4: are just so demanding. Kind of put me in a
- 51:13Speaker 4: bad mood when you were stealing the fight. I was like,
- 51:18Speaker 4: just leave the guy alone, man. And then people were
- 51:20Speaker 4: making fun of the decorations he had under his TV,
- 51:22Speaker 4: like people are just rude. And he had a neon
- 51:25Speaker 4: sign on his Teva that said it's a vibe, So
- 51:28Speaker 4: people were making fun of him about that. You did
- 51:31Speaker 4: nothing wrong, Thank you, thank you. I might start doing
- 51:36Speaker 4: that from now though.
- 51:36Speaker 1: Speaking of bets to rap, let's say if I should
- 51:38Speaker 1: cash out or not. I bet a three pick parlay.
- 51:41Speaker 1: I bet one hundred and fifty bucks on Arkansas, oklahom
- 51:44Speaker 1: City thunder in the Chicago Cubs. One hundred fifty bucks
- 51:47Speaker 1: pays eleven thousand dollars right now, the cash out is
- 51:50Speaker 1: ninety two dollars. I wouldn't cash out on that. Nope,
- 51:53Speaker 1: Next up Arkansas to win the National Championship. I bet
- 51:56Speaker 1: a thousand bucks on that. The cash out is twelve
- 51:58Speaker 1: hundred and seventy four dollars. The winning is forty eight hundred.
- 52:04Speaker 1: Who they plan next lsu but it's double elimination. Now
- 52:09Speaker 1: would you cash out for two hundred bucks? A twenty percent?
- 52:14Speaker 4: And if they lose, you lose how much?
- 52:16Speaker 1: Well? No, that blows twice?
- 52:17Speaker 4: No, I know. But if you lose the bet, you
- 52:19Speaker 4: lost a bucks? Oh that hurts it. I might cash out.
- 52:22Speaker 1: You cash out for a two dollars? No, it's like,
- 52:25Speaker 1: but if you have a thousand bucks in your betting it,
- 52:26Speaker 1: you can't be you can't like wimp out.
- 52:28Speaker 4: You gotta be scared a little bit if I bet
- 52:30Speaker 4: a thousand like, but.
- 52:31Speaker 1: You wouldn't you be too scared of bet a thousand.
- 52:33Speaker 6: But like Eddie, if you've bet five bucks and you
- 52:34Speaker 6: could cash out for seven dollars, like, would you do it?
- 52:36Speaker 1: Would be six? Actually, it'd be six dollars or six percent.
- 52:39Speaker 6: Okay, yeah, six dollars.
- 52:40Speaker 4: No, I wouldn't do that, right, Okay, good, thank you, Kevin?
- 52:42Speaker 1: Yeah, good job.
- 52:43Speaker 4: You put it to my skill. I like it.
- 52:45Speaker 1: Yeah, so stay in it.
- 52:47Speaker 4: It makes more sense.
- 52:49Speaker 1: Oklahoma City Thunder, I accidentally bet one hundred bucks. I
- 52:52Speaker 1: didn't make mean to make this bet to win one
- 52:54Speaker 1: thirty three. If they win the whole thing, I can
- 52:56Speaker 1: cash out for one hundred dollars and eighty four cents.
- 52:59Speaker 1: I can't chot for eight moree no, okay, all right?
- 53:03Speaker 1: So basically the only one I can really make money
- 53:06Speaker 1: off of is Arkansas to win the National Championship. I
- 53:09Speaker 1: can make twitter seventy four dollars right now on a
- 53:11Speaker 1: thousand dollars bet, and we're not. I don't feel like
- 53:13Speaker 1: I should do it.
- 53:14Speaker 4: No, okay, A man, I would have done it, but no,
- 53:18Speaker 4: But if it were breaking down to my five dollars skill,
- 53:20Speaker 4: don't do it. Got all right? That's it?
- 53:23Speaker 6: I think anything on your mind, Kevin, Yeah, the only
- 53:27Speaker 6: thing really is. I watched the Red Sox and Yankees
- 53:29Speaker 6: take you know that, But I gotta say, like, really,
- 53:34Speaker 6: obviously that's the big rivalry, but it's just not there
- 53:37Speaker 6: for me anymore.
- 53:37Speaker 4: It's not the same.
- 53:38Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 53:38Speaker 6: And I couldn't even name four or five of the
- 53:40Speaker 6: Yankees guys, and I'm like, I don't know.
- 53:42Speaker 1: There's just two things have happened. One, you've gotten older.
- 53:45Speaker 4: Is that what it is?
- 53:45Speaker 1: Baseball is not as romantic to you because you're an
- 53:48Speaker 1: older person who doesn't have one. You see sports differently. Also,
- 53:52Speaker 1: even though you still freaking love Boston, but now you
- 53:54Speaker 1: have priorities and things. And then tow there's one hundred
- 53:57Speaker 1: and sixty two games, right, it's a waste.
- 53:59Speaker 6: But like even the think he's players, I don't really
- 54:01Speaker 6: hate any of them, Like Judge is amazing, and you can't.
- 54:04Speaker 1: Really you're an adult man, That's what it is. Because
- 54:06Speaker 1: I don't hate the Cardinals.
- 54:08Speaker 6: Yeah you see a Goldsmith by the way, it's on
- 54:11Speaker 6: the Yankees.
- 54:11Speaker 1: Yeah's crushing it.
- 54:12Speaker 4: But now.
- 54:14Speaker 6: They have a couple of guys where you're like, oh,
- 54:16Speaker 6: five years ago, this guy is awesome. Mickey Mantle, Mickey Yes,
- 54:19Speaker 6: Yogi berra a great bambino. Yeah, but yeah, okay, maybe
- 54:23Speaker 6: that's what it is.
- 54:23Speaker 1: Yeah, you're getting older, you have kids, priorities, lives.
- 54:26Speaker 4: He just got his kids.
- 54:30Speaker 1: All of a sudden, exactly like you just bought a
- 54:31Speaker 1: girl at Lalwmark.
- 54:32Speaker 4: He just not the girl.
- 54:34Speaker 1: You start to see them as normal humans as well. Yeah,
- 54:37Speaker 1: maybe a business decisions.
- 54:39Speaker 4: When you were a kid, that person had left your team,
- 54:41Speaker 4: like screw them, or there was a lockout, you'd be like,
- 54:43Speaker 4: screw the owners, We just screwed the players.
- 54:46Speaker 1: They should they should just go play for the love
- 54:47Speaker 1: of the game. But then you get older, you're like, oh,
- 54:49Speaker 1: it's a business. No, the players, they're getting screwed. They
- 54:51Speaker 1: should stay and everything changes one the more you learn
- 54:54Speaker 1: about life. You have a mortgage now being a kid man, Yeah,
- 54:58Speaker 1: go back, dude.
- 55:00Speaker 4: He's watching a little.
- 55:00Speaker 1: Bit of THEAUSL, which is the new professional Softball League,
- 55:04Speaker 1: and the good thing about it is they can still
- 55:08Speaker 1: make up make how their game is going to be,
- 55:10Speaker 1: meaning you're traditionally gonna leave all the rules of softball.
- 55:13Speaker 1: But it's a new league, so there are no records yet.
- 55:16Speaker 1: Where baseball gets into trouble and making changes is it's
- 55:19Speaker 1: been one hundred and six and two games. It's quote
- 55:23Speaker 1: America's past time. They have all this data and history
- 55:26Speaker 1: with baseball, so if they change too much, the records
- 55:28Speaker 1: won't be the same. Where the NFL is embraced. Okay,
- 55:31Speaker 1: we're gonna do more games. Okay, so O J. Simpson
- 55:33Speaker 1: rush for two thousand yards in a twelve game season,
- 55:35Speaker 1: that's amazing. But now let's seventeen eighteen games. People breaking records,
- 55:38Speaker 1: but they're like whatever NFL is like, everything's changing. Records
- 55:42Speaker 1: are gonna get broken, big deal. Baseball doesn't want records
- 55:44Speaker 1: to get broken unless they're broken with the same standard.
- 55:46Speaker 1: If I were the softball league they just started, I
- 55:49Speaker 1: would incorporate normal softball rules, but I would also look
- 55:52Speaker 1: at the most successful sports product right now, the freaking
- 55:57Speaker 1: Savannah bananas. And I'm not saying to do flips and crap,
- 56:00Speaker 1: but they need to do fun stuff any league, not
- 56:02Speaker 1: just one MIT's softball. If you're starting a new league
- 56:04Speaker 1: right now, look at what's working in a non traditional
- 56:08Speaker 1: way and make that now traditional because it's hard to
- 56:11Speaker 1: get butts and seats to anything because there's everything out there.
- 56:15Speaker 5: Yeah, that's a good take.
- 56:15Speaker 1: So they just started this whole league, and they had
- 56:18Speaker 1: the first the opening in Wichita, but they're going to
- 56:21Speaker 1: play them all back in Texas. It's going to be
- 56:23Speaker 1: kind of like the UFL, where all those teams in
- 56:25Speaker 1: the UFL are all hubbed there. Even they're named after
- 56:27Speaker 1: Dinver cities, and so they're going to play and they
- 56:30Speaker 1: want it to be a success. And I have been
- 56:32Speaker 1: put on Twitter. I was like, I want to buy
- 56:34Speaker 1: a team, and they're like, well, right now, we're really
- 56:37Speaker 1: not selling any teams. The league just started. I'm like, okay, well,
- 56:39Speaker 1: let me know. I want to buy in. But you
- 56:41Speaker 1: should look at the Savannah Bananas and even how now
- 56:44Speaker 1: they have like I think four or five or six teams,
- 56:46Speaker 1: and how much fans love going to these games. Because
- 56:48Speaker 1: in the end, it's an entertainment product. And also with baseball,
- 56:52Speaker 1: they don't change because they're worried about old people getting
- 56:54Speaker 1: upset about records. And in this league they need to
- 56:57Speaker 1: do fun stuff. If they were starting a new base
- 57:00Speaker 1: fall league, I said the same thing. So it's not
- 57:01Speaker 1: about women in softball. They need to do fun stuff
- 57:04Speaker 1: for the fans. They keep them engaged. So that's all
- 57:07Speaker 1: that's my I didn't really think I was gonna come
- 57:09Speaker 1: with that off the dome.
- 57:11Speaker 4: I love it.
- 57:12Speaker 1: It's in that video. Didn't like they care to give
- 57:16Speaker 1: a crap. What's fun about the savanna banana stuff is?
- 57:20Speaker 1: And I get fed some on TikTok is, Like if
- 57:22Speaker 1: a fan catches the ball, it's counsel as an out
- 57:24Speaker 1: if they want it.
- 57:25Speaker 4: To that's cool.
- 57:27Speaker 1: Yeah, And they do trick plays, that's all. They did
- 57:29Speaker 1: three trick plays in two minutes, all in the same
- 57:31Speaker 1: inning the other day. The outfielder did a flip and
- 57:34Speaker 1: caught it. They it's awesome.
- 57:35Speaker 6: I like how they bring the local like legends out. Yeah,
- 57:38Speaker 6: like they saw they brought out Troy Gloss for the
- 57:40Speaker 6: Angels last week or two weeks ago, and that was cool.
- 57:42Speaker 1: They were and I think Charlotte and they brought out
- 57:45Speaker 1: three former Panther players like Luke Keikley and Jonathan Stewart.
- 57:50Speaker 1: It played, So it's awesome. Like they that's the Harlem Globtrotters.
- 57:54Speaker 1: And I'm not saying go that far with a new
- 57:56Speaker 1: league with series, but they need to implement some of
- 57:58Speaker 1: the strategies that those type of teams are doing because
- 58:01Speaker 1: that's what people want to go they're selling seventy thousand
- 58:04Speaker 1: in see, they're selling football stadium.
- 58:06Speaker 4: And they're on TV now to watch baseball. People want
- 58:09Speaker 4: to watch it on TV because baseball is not gonna change,
- 58:11Speaker 4: because they're so frigging dialed into we have to stay
- 58:14Speaker 4: the same. You're gonna die if you stay the same.
- 58:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 58:17Speaker 6: They change a pitch clock and they think they're revolution Yeah.
- 58:20Speaker 4: Yeah, people won't be able to stand how aggressive we're getting.
- 58:25Speaker 1: Thank you, guys, thanks to Brandon Marcelo. Thanks to everybody
- 58:28Speaker 1: for listening. We appreciate you. We'll see you guys later
