- 0:00Speaker 1: Tampa Bay's best music is Magic. Magic. Magic.
- 0:04Speaker 2: 94.9.
- 0:04Speaker 3: And welcome to a new episode of Scotty and Abby Unfiltered.
- 0:07Speaker 3: Got another couple comments for us to go do a
- 0:09Speaker 3: live show in Atlanta.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Hell yeah, brother.
- 0:11Speaker 2: This idea is really coming together.
- 0:13Speaker 1: I know. I think we should just do it.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I do too.
- 0:15Speaker 1: When do you think it would be cheap to host
- 0:17Speaker 1: an event? Like, should we do, because we're doing one
- 0:19Speaker 1: here in December. So we probably shouldn't do anything before December.
- 0:25Speaker 2: What about like a January? Happy New Year. We come
- 0:28Speaker 2: in to Atlanta. I'm sure they need us over there
- 0:30Speaker 2: for corporate for something.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Nobody's in a good mood in January. No one's drinking
- 0:34Speaker 1: in January.
- 0:34Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Yeah, okay.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Advertisers don't have a good budget in January.
- 0:39Speaker 3: See, I thought that, okay, I guess I don't understand
- 0:41Speaker 3: business fiscal years.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Because they have to have their budget stuff like, I
- 0:44Speaker 2: don't know, like now? Yeah.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Okay, that would be the time to do it. But
- 0:48Speaker 3: I mean, it's not going to cost them much. A
- 0:50Speaker 3: bar just needs to host us. Be able to give out, like,
- 0:52Speaker 3: I don't know, half-off drinks and.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Like, free apps.
- 0:55Speaker 1: What about February?
- 0:57Speaker 2: Okay, February could work, too.
- 0:59Speaker 1: February would be so gross in Atlanta. It'll probably be, like, snowing.
- 1:03Speaker 2: What is the grossest month in Atlanta since you lived
- 1:05Speaker 2: there for.
- 1:06Speaker 1: I remember being thrilled getting to go to Columbia in January,
- 1:11Speaker 1: and that would have been— Mid-January, I think?
- 1:14Speaker 2: Is it because it gets that cold?
- 1:16Speaker 1: It was really cold. Like, it snowed when we left.
- 1:19Speaker 1: When I left.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Damn. I know.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Like, it'll get really frosty in January, February, and a
- 1:28Speaker 1: little bit of March.
- 1:29Speaker 3: It's kind of interesting because it's not that far from us,
- 1:31Speaker 3: but it's such a difference.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 1:33Speaker 3: But it also gets really cold. Okay, let me retake
- 1:35Speaker 3: that statement back. There's one day a year where it's
- 1:38Speaker 3: going to get freaking freezing this year.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Well, here's the thing. In Tampa, it does get cold. Like,
- 1:43Speaker 1: I will say, and I'm cold right now because my
- 1:46Speaker 1: shoes still have rainwater in them because of this tropical storm.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I don't like the weather in Tampa as a whole
- 1:55Speaker 1: because it's either ridiculously hot or... ridiculously cold but you
- 2:00Speaker 1: don't have no one's wearing like winter clothes.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Yeah like we don't have the proper stuff for it.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Whereas I do like the weather in Atlanta because you
- 2:06Speaker 1: kind of get all a mix of all the seasons
- 2:08Speaker 1: you get just enough to go it's fall it's winter
- 2:12Speaker 1: it's spring it's summer without it being too overwhelming.
- 2:15Speaker 3: Yeah I will say like this upcoming well you were
- 2:17Speaker 3: here for the spring though do you remember I remember
- 2:20Speaker 3: this past spring thinking damn it's really nice yeah the
- 2:24Speaker 3: spring is February to May I was like oh.
- 2:27Speaker 1: No, it's like April and May. April and May feel
- 2:30Speaker 1: delightful and then that's it.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Okay.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Well, I do, you know, I don't want to necessarily move,
- 2:36Speaker 3: but I could also see this is like the first
- 2:37Speaker 3: year where I thought I could see myself moving out
- 2:40Speaker 3: of Florida simply for that reason. Like I want to
- 2:43Speaker 3: actually see the difference in season and I think I've
- 2:47Speaker 3: hit my threshold with heat.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Yeah, it was so... hot this year I've never been
- 2:52Speaker 1: this hot in my life I think yeah consistently I
- 2:54Speaker 1: mean like obviously you know I went to Columbia this
- 2:56Speaker 1: year that was hot but like I don't remember Florida
- 3:00Speaker 1: feeling this brutal.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Yeah where you walk outside and it just like it
- 3:04Speaker 3: actually makes you mad like that's why I caught myself
- 3:06Speaker 3: or I'd walk outside I'd be like It's gross.
- 3:10Speaker 1: It's like a gross heat.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Well, it should be nice.
- 3:12Speaker 3: Well, I mean, as we sit in a tropical storm,
- 3:14Speaker 3: I guess that's the difference. Like it should be nice
- 3:15Speaker 3: right now.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:16Speaker 3: I remember growing up and like playing high school football
- 3:18Speaker 3: and like getting to October would be all right. Like
- 3:21Speaker 3: we might be able to wear some long sleeves for
- 3:23Speaker 3: a couple of the Friday night games.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Not right now. No, we're not even close to that.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Not even remotely close.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Somebody did say our coworkers over on the bone.
- 3:31Speaker 3: I remember hearing John Sennon say, so I have no
- 3:33Speaker 3: backing on this, no scientific proof. Only his word off
- 3:36Speaker 3: of his show talking about how this upcoming winter might
- 3:40Speaker 3: be the most brutal that we've ever experienced.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Like the coldest?
- 3:43Speaker 3: Yeah. Because of that whole like super El Nino over
- 3:47Speaker 3: in the West and the Pacific. That's all I can
- 3:49Speaker 3: base it off of that statement. So if anybody else
- 3:51Speaker 3: knows information, I'll be looking at the comments. But I
- 3:53Speaker 3: heard him say that and I was like, damn it.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Like I can't handle another winter like we had where
- 3:58Speaker 3: it was like brutal, but it's supposed to be even
- 4:00Speaker 3: worse than that.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Oh no.
- 4:02Speaker 2: So, I mean, I just gear up.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Well, Nino needs to sit the heck down.
- 4:06Speaker 2: But I think that's the reason for the whole tropical
- 4:08Speaker 2: storm right now.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Is this climate change? Are we about to get political?
- 4:10Speaker 1: Not well.
- 4:12Speaker 2: No, I don't think so. Okay.
- 4:13Speaker 3: I don't think we're about to get political now, whether
- 4:15Speaker 3: or not climate change. I mean, you tell me.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Yeah. It's hotter and it's colder. Seems like a lot
- 4:21Speaker 2: of change.
- 4:21Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm going to have to go somewhere
- 4:23Speaker 1: next summer. Like, I'm going to have to evacuate, genuinely.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Are you going to be somebody that summers?
- 4:26Speaker 1: I would love to be someone that summers. Some old
- 4:29Speaker 1: man needs to... Literally, I would be the best third
- 4:32Speaker 1: wife if I could just get out of here for
- 4:34Speaker 1: the summer.
- 4:35Speaker 2: How old would you go? Because, obviously, there's a lot
- 4:37Speaker 2: of sugar... Old as hell. Baby sugar mamas in Tampa.
- 4:40Speaker 1: The older, the better. 98, 99 on your deathbed. They're like,
- 4:44Speaker 1: come here, sweetie.
- 4:44Speaker 2: And they're like, super, super old.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Put me in the will. Listen, we have a station
- 4:48Speaker 1: in Long Island. I can broadcast from the Hamptons.
- 4:51Speaker 2: That would be kind of nice.
- 4:52Speaker 1: That would actually be so great.
- 4:53Speaker 3: But I mean, I see people out there in their
- 4:54Speaker 3: nice cars are probably, this is not super old. I'm
- 4:57Speaker 3: not saying this as an age and putting a limit. Like,
- 4:59Speaker 3: in their 60s, that's like, oh, hey, Abby.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Like, yeah, you know.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Hell yeah, sign me up. I'm at that point. I
- 5:05Speaker 1: just got ghosted for the 50,000th time.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Yeah, but that guy didn't deserve you. He did this
- 5:09Speaker 3: weird sideways smiley face.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Yeah. You couldn't ever do that. Imagine that's like your
- 5:14Speaker 2: wake-up text.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Good morning. I also don't like the idea of a
- 5:19Speaker 1: wake-up text.
- 5:20Speaker 2: You don't?
- 5:20Speaker 3: I saw somebody say that the other day, and I
- 5:21Speaker 3: was like, they thought it was cringey, and I was like,
- 5:25Speaker 3: I love a wake-up text.
- 5:26Speaker 1: I think it's, yeah, I don't know what's wrong with
- 5:28Speaker 1: me in my brain, but that would cringe me out.
- 5:31Speaker 1: And it's not the fact that you're texting me in
- 5:33Speaker 1: the morning. It's more of like, Good morning. And then, like,
- 5:36Speaker 1: the signing face. I don't know, just, like, it's, like, cringey.
- 5:39Speaker 1: But if you, like, sent me, like, a meme or something, like,
- 5:42Speaker 1: if you, like, sent me something funny, that I, like.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Enjoy that.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Like, hey, I woke up, I thought of you, but, like, ha-ha,
- 5:49Speaker 1: laugh funny.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Yeah, like a different way of doing the same thing.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Yes, whereas, like, I don't know, there's something very feminine
- 5:55Speaker 1: about saying good morning.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Correct.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:57Speaker 3: OK, let me wait and dive into this because I
- 6:00Speaker 3: say good morning all the time.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, no, I'm not saying we do a morning show.
- 6:04Speaker 2: OK, no, I'm not talking about that. But like my
- 6:06Speaker 2: favorite phrase and.
- 6:08Speaker 1: You say it, you say it. So we did a
- 6:11Speaker 1: break today where I'm like, you said good morning seven
- 6:14Speaker 1: times this break.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 6:16Speaker 1: You opened the break with good morning. Closed it with
- 6:19Speaker 1: good morning. And then you said, how are you this morning?
- 6:22Speaker 1: This morning we're going to get... And I'm like, should
- 6:23Speaker 1: I tell him? I think we just said it seven times.
- 6:26Speaker 3: Actually, on that topic, I do need to acknowledge and
- 6:30Speaker 3: in a way apologize because I was saying to Abby earlier,
- 6:33Speaker 3: I was like, I have vacation brain. And so I
- 6:35Speaker 3: caught myself as we're finishing out the show.
- 6:37Speaker 2: I was like, damn, I've been on one today. Like
- 6:39Speaker 2: my energy has been like.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Boom, boom, boom.
- 6:42Speaker 2: Because I'm ready to get out.
- 6:43Speaker 1: I'm also on the opposite end of the spectrum, too. So, like,
- 6:46Speaker 1: you're here, and I'm here, and I'm cold, and my
- 6:49Speaker 1: family's coming to town this week.
- 6:51Speaker 2: I'm over here like, I'm not going to keep up.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Yeah, you're about to turn 30. I'm like, I'm disassociating.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I'd clap myself. I was like, damn, okay.
- 6:58Speaker 3: I did come in flying colors, just, like, ready to
- 7:01Speaker 3: get on out of here.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 7:03Speaker 3: I have the thing right now that you were talking
- 7:05Speaker 3: about before you went to Italy. where you just get
- 7:07Speaker 3: to packing and you're just the most disorganized you've ever been.
- 7:10Speaker 1: In your life. 100%.
- 7:11Speaker 3: I'm dealing with that right now where I'm like, when
- 7:13Speaker 3: I get off the podcast today, it feels like I
- 7:16Speaker 3: have to put my entire life together because I have
- 7:18Speaker 3: friends that are staying at my apartment today. So I
- 7:20Speaker 3: got to set up an air mattress for them. I
- 7:21Speaker 3: had to order like a new blanket because I didn't
- 7:23Speaker 3: have an extra blanket because I don't have guests that
- 7:25Speaker 3: stay over.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:26Speaker 3: I'm getting new sheets. I got to wash their sheets.
- 7:28Speaker 3: I got to wash their blankets. I got to wash
- 7:30Speaker 3: my laundry. And then on top of it, I got
- 7:31Speaker 3: to pack.
- 7:32Speaker 1: So my brain's like, How are you packing since it's
- 7:35Speaker 1: going to be rainy when you go to Key West?
- 7:38Speaker 1: Because you're going to Key West, and if you haven't
- 7:40Speaker 1: been watching the news like me, because I just found out,
- 7:41Speaker 1: there's apparently a tropical storm.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Yep, that's how we started today.
- 7:47Speaker 3: Yeah, so I wasn't anticipating rain until I saw a
- 7:49Speaker 3: text from my girlfriend yesterday that said, by the way, everyone,
- 7:52Speaker 3: bring a rain jacket. And I thought, no, not because
- 7:57Speaker 3: months ago.
- 7:57Speaker 2: I mean, you all on the podcast have heard. You
- 7:59Speaker 2: heard the moment I booked this trip. It was a gamble.
- 8:02Speaker 1: I just can't believe you're going to be on. You're
- 8:04Speaker 1: sleeping on a boat in the middle of a tropical storm.
- 8:07Speaker 1: That's so freaking funny. Because I remember I brought that up.
- 8:12Speaker 1: I was I was like, why do a catamaran when
- 8:14Speaker 1: you could just find like another hotel? And you're like,
- 8:17Speaker 1: we'll be cool. I'm like, OK, I feel like there's
- 8:18Speaker 1: something that's going to go wrong.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Yeah, if something could go wrong, it will go wrong.
- 8:22Speaker 1: I feel like a boat could sink, you know what
- 8:23Speaker 1: I mean? Oh, God.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Well, we are docked up to, like, a marina.
- 8:27Speaker 1: It doesn't mean you can still sink.
- 8:28Speaker 2: That's true.
- 8:29Speaker 1: As far as I know, you're still in the water.
- 8:31Speaker 2: All right, well, here's the thing. I have two ways
- 8:33Speaker 2: of looking at it.
- 8:34Speaker 3: The first is, with the tropical storm and the waves, like, doesn't...
- 8:39Speaker 3: Doesn't that kind of sound peaceful?
- 8:40Speaker 2: Like, getting rocked to sleep like a baby?
- 8:42Speaker 1: Yeah, until you're, like.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Hitting against the dock.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Also, I just turned on... I'm really cold, so I
- 8:50Speaker 1: have my sweatshirt wrapped around my legs, and I just
- 8:52Speaker 1: looked at the video, and I was like, oh, my God,
- 8:53Speaker 1: I look like a freaking minion. Babadooey. Babadooey.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Hello.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Hello.
- 8:58Speaker 3: So it's either going to be that or people in
- 9:00Speaker 3: the boat are going to get sick. That's what I'm
- 9:02Speaker 3: actually worried about. If the boat's rocking and somebody gets seasick,
- 9:06Speaker 3: that would suck.
- 9:06Speaker 1: I feel kind of bad for them now. I do, too.
- 9:08Speaker 2: You guys will have fun.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I feel like you'll find an indoor activity. I do, too.
- 9:13Speaker 3: I mean, if I was trying to think back, I
- 9:15Speaker 3: was like, what are we going to do anyway? Like,
- 9:17Speaker 3: the only outdoor activity, we had snorkeling. Which we might
- 9:19Speaker 3: still be able to do if it's like midday and
- 9:21Speaker 3: it's still sunny out.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Well, who knows? Like maybe after the storm passes, it'll
- 9:24Speaker 1: be beautiful.
- 9:25Speaker 2: That's true.
- 9:26Speaker 3: It's going to be up a little higher north. So
- 9:28Speaker 3: we shouldn't really be getting any bands by this weekend.
- 9:31Speaker 3: We're going snorkeling Friday.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:33Speaker 2: We should be okay.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Okay.
- 9:34Speaker 2: But every other activity was like, I don't know.
- 9:36Speaker 3: Bar.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Bar. Bus. Bus. Club. Club.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Another club.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Another club. Next plane.
- 9:41Speaker 2: You know, like a nice dinner. I was thinking about going.
- 9:44Speaker 3: This sounds corny, but if you ever go to Key West,
- 9:47Speaker 3: go to the butterfly garden thing.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Okay.
- 9:49Speaker 3: It's like the coolest thing because I got thousands of
- 9:51Speaker 3: butterflies that just land right on you.
- 9:53Speaker 2: And some people that freaks them out. But for me,
- 9:55Speaker 2: I love a butterfly.
- 9:57Speaker 1: It does freak i like the idea of a butterfly
- 9:59Speaker 1: but i don't want.
- 9:59Speaker 3: It to touch me you don't want it are you
- 10:01Speaker 3: scared of them are you like grossed out by them.
- 10:03Speaker 1: I it's just like they're little insects that just sit
- 10:06Speaker 1: on you and you don't know that they're there and
- 10:08Speaker 1: so then you get surprised when they're there and i
- 10:09Speaker 1: don't want to like swat it and then kill it
- 10:12Speaker 1: that's it's like an anxiety thing i have.
- 10:13Speaker 2: That thought too i'm like They're so delicate.
- 10:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:16Speaker 2: I don't want to be the reason one dies.
- 10:18Speaker 1: I know. And that would be me. They'd be like,
- 10:20Speaker 1: here comes the monster. Like the anxious monster. Like this
- 10:25Speaker 1: beautiful creature that just spent. It's like, oh, I just
- 10:28Speaker 1: spent four months in a cocoon and I can't wait
- 10:31Speaker 1: to come out. And then dead first day on a
- 10:34Speaker 1: Pixar sketch.
- 10:36Speaker 2: I'm doing it for the photos. I want to do
- 10:37Speaker 2: one when it lands on me.
- 10:38Speaker 3: I get to take a nice little photo. And then
- 10:41Speaker 3: be able to leave the place with a little memory.
- 10:43Speaker 1: That'll be beautiful.
- 10:44Speaker 2: We're all in our 30s now. So it's like we
- 10:46Speaker 2: can't really. As much as I would love to hit bar, bar, bar.
- 10:49Speaker 2: I know myself. I can't hit bar, bar, bar.
- 10:51Speaker 1: And that's not always fun. No, it's not.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Like one, two bars fun. But, like, I don't think
- 10:55Speaker 2: we're even going to, like, at night.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:57Speaker 3: Like, maybe just hang at a bar for a little bit.
- 10:58Speaker 3: But I'm not the biggest. I can't handle a lot
- 11:02Speaker 3: of alcohol.
- 11:03Speaker 1: You say that.
- 11:04Speaker 2: No, I can't handle a lot. I can drink.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was about to say, like, every
- 11:07Speaker 1: time I see you, I'm like, Scott's lit. You were
- 11:09Speaker 1: lit at Halloween Horror Nights. Or where were we, Scott?
- 11:11Speaker 1: Where were we? Scream a lot.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Oh, hollow scream?
- 11:15Speaker 1: Sally scream a lot.
- 11:16Speaker 2: That's my own haunted house.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Instead of Sally Smiles a lot, your new nickname is
- 11:20Speaker 1: Sally Screams a lot. I did.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Okay, well, let's see. Let me think. Let me think.
- 11:23Speaker 2: I didn't have that, man. I think I had like
- 11:25Speaker 2: one drink there. Yeah. I'm just lit on life.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Yay.
- 11:27Speaker 2: I just, I get excited. I'm very excitable.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Just say you do coke in the bathroom.
- 11:32Speaker 2: That's why I leave every five minutes.
- 11:33Speaker 1: No, I know.
- 11:33Speaker 2: I come back all juiced up.
- 11:35Speaker 1: I thought it was just IBS. Turns out it's a
- 11:37Speaker 1: crippling drug addiction.
- 11:39Speaker 2: I have problems in many ways. But that was, you know,
- 11:42Speaker 2: every now and then I get that little itch that's like,
- 11:44Speaker 2: Turn up time.
- 11:45Speaker 1: I know.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Let me go a little wild.
- 11:47Speaker 3: And then it's always the next day where I'm like,
- 11:49Speaker 3: why did I do that? Like, I'm not trying to
- 11:51Speaker 3: do that this trip.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:52Speaker 2: I'll go hit a cool bar. I want to do
- 11:53Speaker 2: a little karaoke. I want to go see the town.
- 11:55Speaker 1: You got to switch to tequila. I'm telling you, switching
- 11:58Speaker 1: to tequila will change your life.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Because it's an upper.
- 12:01Speaker 1: It's an upper.
- 12:02Speaker 2: So that's also it.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Because what I've noticed a lot, and my girlfriend and
- 12:05Speaker 3: I talk about this all the time, I get so.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Anxious now when I drink.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Really? Yeah.
- 12:09Speaker 3: Like, my mind spirals, like, no tomorrow. When I start, like, maybe, like,
- 12:13Speaker 3: it's probably two or three drinks in. What do you,
- 12:16Speaker 3: what's your alcohol choice? If I could just have, well,
- 12:20Speaker 3: my alcohol choice is, like, a glass of wine. Like
- 12:22Speaker 3: a Sauvignon Blanc.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Okay. And that makes you anxious? Not that necessarily. Usually
- 12:27Speaker 2: I could sip wine and be fine.
- 12:28Speaker 3: But if, like, I start going to, like, let's say, like,
- 12:30Speaker 3: the seltzers or, like, a cocktail and I get, like,
- 12:34Speaker 3: that little buzz feeling, I don't know. My brain just
- 12:36Speaker 3: likes to make up these stories that You know, somebody's
- 12:39Speaker 3: mad at me, or I did something wrong, or I
- 12:41Speaker 3: said something stupid.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Oh.
- 12:43Speaker 3: And I'm sitting there in that anxious little bubble that's like, mm,
- 12:46Speaker 3: you've gone too far, and now you have to sit
- 12:48Speaker 3: and live with yourself.
- 12:50Speaker 2: And I'm like, bro, like, just enjoy the.
- 12:53Speaker 1: You need another drink.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Actually, I gotta just drink to get past that point.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 12:57Speaker 3: I think what it is is, like, just past experiences. I've, like,
- 13:00Speaker 3: done a lot of work on recognizing, when did this start,
- 13:03Speaker 3: why is this here, and how do I rewrite this story?
- 13:05Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Because, like, in the past, whether it was, like, fights
- 13:07Speaker 3: with partners... or having problems while drinking.
- 13:12Speaker 1: So being with your girlfriend and drinking is a trigger
- 13:15Speaker 1: for you?
- 13:16Speaker 2: Sometimes. Now I'm rewiring that part of me. Okay.
- 13:20Speaker 3: That's something my girlfriend and I have talked about because
- 13:21Speaker 3: we've both had that. Where in the past, it was
- 13:24Speaker 3: not always the healthiest of having a couple drinks with
- 13:27Speaker 3: your partner, how that would turn into, even just conversations.
- 13:32Speaker 2: And now we're like, oh, wait, we don't have to
- 13:33Speaker 2: worry about that.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Cool. Cool.
- 13:36Speaker 2: And we recognize it. We're like, oh, you're anxious. I'm anxious, too.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Let's talk about why. And we're good.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:42Speaker 2: So there's still a part of me that's like, oh, God.
- 13:44Speaker 1: I get three drinks.
- 13:45Speaker 2: And I'm like, what did I do wrong? And then
- 13:48Speaker 2: I recognize I'm like, oh, wait, nothing. You just have fun.
- 13:50Speaker 1: I just had three glasses of vodka or three glasses
- 13:54Speaker 1: of a vodka drink.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Yeah, just a little cocktail. So we'll see. We might
- 13:57Speaker 2: do a little bar hopping. But I was just telling
- 13:58Speaker 2: some of the coworkers out in the break room. I'm like,
- 14:01Speaker 2: I'm hitting 30.
- 14:02Speaker 3: We're doing a coffee crawl. We're not doing a bar crawl.
- 14:04Speaker 3: That's a different kind of anxiety.
- 14:07Speaker 1: The margarita crawl won't make me anxious, but a coffee crawl,
- 14:10Speaker 1: I'll be pooping my pants.
- 14:12Speaker 3: I will be in an anxious spiral. That's why we're
- 14:17Speaker 3: going in on Thursday. As we get there, I begin
- 14:20Speaker 3: the coffee crawl. Not rushing through, but I did have
- 14:24Speaker 3: to buy extra time at the Airbnb, the early check-in,
- 14:27Speaker 3: because I thought about that. I was like, good lord,
- 14:29Speaker 3: I'm going to make all these people have to poop. Like,
- 14:31Speaker 3: we're going to have all this coffee.
- 14:32Speaker 1: I can't think of anything worse than a coffee crawl
- 14:34Speaker 1: and then being stuck on a catamaran that's being whacked
- 14:38Speaker 1: by the tropical storm.
- 14:40Speaker 2: I'm planning the worst trip of my friend's life.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Logistically, you're not set up for success. Doesn't mean you're
- 14:47Speaker 1: not going to have fun, though.
- 14:48Speaker 2: That's true.
- 14:48Speaker 3: I think, luckily, the group I'm bringing, everyone's so chill,
- 14:52Speaker 3: gets along so easily, and has known each other for
- 14:55Speaker 3: so long that it's like, okay, no problems. Yeah, you're
- 14:58Speaker 3: going to be fine. But it is kind of funny
- 14:59Speaker 3: to be like, We're going into a storm.
- 15:01Speaker 2: We're going to be on a boat.
- 15:03Speaker 3: We're going to see how this thing turns out in
- 15:04Speaker 3: the next four days.
- 15:05Speaker 2: If anything, it'll be a couple good stories.
- 15:07Speaker 1: You've got to vlog it. This is a David Dobrik sketch.
- 15:09Speaker 2: I know.
- 15:10Speaker 3: I think I am going to take a lot of photos,
- 15:11Speaker 3: a lot of videos because I just want to have
- 15:14Speaker 3: these memories in general. But also, I've got to get back.
- 15:17Speaker 3: This is a weird thought, but I've got to get
- 15:18Speaker 3: back to posting because I've kind of been... Sitting on
- 15:21Speaker 3: the back burner for a second. Cause don't, do you
- 15:23Speaker 3: go through that too? Like I'll go so hard and
- 15:25Speaker 3: then all of a sudden it's like nothing.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Creativity is a wave. I was just thinking about that
- 15:29Speaker 1: this morning. I've been posting a crap ton on social media,
- 15:33Speaker 1: but it's just cause I hit a wave in the algorithm.
- 15:34Speaker 1: And so for me, it's more satisfying to post if
- 15:37Speaker 1: I know it's going to get traction. And so, um,
- 15:41Speaker 1: it's been a minute since I've done like a Bay's
- 15:42Speaker 1: on Bayshore interview. And I always post those because I
- 15:44Speaker 1: know they're going to do well. Um, but sometimes when
- 15:47Speaker 1: it's like personal content, like, I don't know if it's
- 15:48Speaker 1: going to do well. And so with, I've been posting
- 15:51Speaker 1: a lot about Tampa Bay sports cause I'm like, those
- 15:53Speaker 1: are going to do well. I'm like, I know if
- 15:55Speaker 1: I have my hair done and I say anything about sports,
- 15:57Speaker 1: I'm going to hit the mail algorithm. Boom, boom. Um,
- 16:00Speaker 1: I know I have the people that do give a
- 16:01Speaker 1: shit about me who just follow me for me. And, um, yeah,
- 16:06Speaker 1: so I'm riding that wave right now, but I'm sure
- 16:07Speaker 1: in a couple months I'll be like, or a couple
- 16:09Speaker 1: of weeks or probably a couple of days I'll go. Yeah.
- 16:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Like I'm thinking tonight, I'm like, what am I going
- 16:13Speaker 1: to post? I was like, okay, the Rays are playing tonight.
- 16:15Speaker 1: I need to go watch the Rays somewhere so I
- 16:17Speaker 1: can post something about the Rays.
- 16:18Speaker 3: I was thinking about that because like you do, it's
- 16:20Speaker 3: like you get into a feeling of like, you know,
- 16:22Speaker 3: it's going to be good. You know, you have something
- 16:24Speaker 3: to say, but then as soon as you stop, it's like,
- 16:26Speaker 3: as soon as you stop that momentum.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Oh my God.
- 16:29Speaker 3: It feels like I'm trying to restart the train. Like
- 16:30Speaker 3: I could post, like we post stuff for the show.
- 16:32Speaker 3: I have no problem posting that.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:34Speaker 2: But then anything else, it's literally like you just said,
- 16:36Speaker 2: like personal stuff. I'm like, I don't know. Like my brain,
- 16:39Speaker 2: here comes the anxious brain. It's like, Who cares? Yes.
- 16:42Speaker 1: I think the same thing too.
- 16:43Speaker 2: I'm like, I don't know. Somebody does. Every time somebody does.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Or if I say this, what's the point of me
- 16:49Speaker 1: saying this? Because the point is, okay, well, if it
- 16:52Speaker 1: gets a lot of traction, then okay, I've said something
- 16:53Speaker 1: that means something to people. But if I say something
- 16:56Speaker 1: and then it's like five people that like it or whatever,
- 16:58Speaker 1: it's just kind of like, okay, why did I open
- 17:00Speaker 1: my mouth?
- 17:00Speaker 2: But doesn't that suck?
- 17:02Speaker 3: Because that shouldn't be how we get validated, especially if
- 17:04Speaker 3: we have a thought or if we have a way
- 17:06Speaker 3: that we're going about this life and we just want
- 17:08Speaker 3: to share because it's on our heart.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:10Speaker 3: And then our brain's like, well, obviously it wasn't a
- 17:13Speaker 3: good one if you didn't get any traction.
- 17:15Speaker 1: My thoughts were wrong.
- 17:16Speaker 2: And I'm like, no, I thought it was a good thought.
- 17:17Speaker 3: Like that's how a lot of the things that I
- 17:20Speaker 3: post for like the Dare to Dream stuff.
- 17:22Speaker 2: I'm like, this is literally like I'm bleeding out my soul.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Here's me living my dream.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Nothing.
- 17:29Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah. All right.
- 17:31Speaker 1: We just have to figure out what.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Like who do you follow and why is their content effective?
- 17:37Speaker 1: Like if you like their content.
- 17:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I was thinking about those people that I'm like,
- 17:41Speaker 3: we have very similar styles.
- 17:42Speaker 2: What makes theirs really connect and learning from them?
- 17:46Speaker 3: Like when I see somebody like a, gosh, like different speakers,
- 17:50Speaker 3: let's say a Tony Robbins, for example, obviously.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Way different example, way bigger, way longer.
- 17:55Speaker 3: But the way things are said is a lot more
- 17:59Speaker 3: impactful because it's just had a lot more time to simmer.
- 18:02Speaker 3: where sometimes I would just get on and just let
- 18:04Speaker 3: it rip for a second. I'm like, well, maybe that's
- 18:06Speaker 3: not the best practice.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Sometimes it is. You just walk in, you have a thought,
- 18:10Speaker 2: let it rip.
- 18:10Speaker 3: But other times, you see a lot of these content creators,
- 18:12Speaker 3: you're like, oh, wait, no, they've been simmering on that
- 18:14Speaker 3: idea for a while. They've had work and practice and production,
- 18:18Speaker 3: and once they put it up, it's the best product
- 18:21Speaker 3: that it could be. Like not letting perfection get in
- 18:23Speaker 3: the way, but also putting a little more practice into
- 18:25Speaker 3: the product.
- 18:26Speaker 1: But also, I was talking about this with one of
- 18:27Speaker 1: our other hosts, is sometimes it's the dumb shit that
- 18:29Speaker 1: takes off. Like, for example, you weren't there, but my,
- 18:33Speaker 1: and it's now deleted. I literally had to delete the
- 18:35Speaker 1: video because I sponsored the wrong beer in it. I
- 18:38Speaker 1: did this whole AMC, we come to this place for magic,
- 18:42Speaker 1: that Nicole Kidman sketch while we were at the game
- 18:44Speaker 1: on Monday. And I was so excited about it. And
- 18:48Speaker 1: I posted it and I was like, I don't think
- 18:49Speaker 1: this is going to take off. And I just put
- 18:50Speaker 1: so much effort into it and I was so excited
- 18:52Speaker 1: about it. And then meanwhile, I post literally a video
- 18:56Speaker 1: that took me 25 seconds making fun of the fact
- 18:58Speaker 1: that the NHL is trying to resonate with their female
- 19:01Speaker 1: fans by doing book talk nights. And I was like,
- 19:04Speaker 1: what are they doing? And you know, that one took
- 19:06Speaker 1: off like crazy. Yeah.
- 19:07Speaker 3: Like the things that you don't put much effort in,
- 19:09Speaker 3: you're like, well, why am I putting all this other
- 19:11Speaker 3: creative juice into this video?
- 19:13Speaker 2: If I know it's not going to do anything.
- 19:14Speaker 1: That's the problem with creativity or just doing this job
- 19:16Speaker 1: in general is sometimes it's, it's just lighting the match
- 19:20Speaker 1: while there's Hang on. There's a word here.
- 19:23Speaker 2: I thought you were like, there's somebody behind me.
- 19:25Speaker 1: I was like, am I about to be stabbed? I'm
- 19:28Speaker 1: sitting on a great line, but I'm about to fuck
- 19:30Speaker 1: it up. Sometimes you have to strike a match while
- 19:36Speaker 1: there's a tinder. I don't know. Just strike while the
- 19:38Speaker 1: iron's hot. And the iron is your creativity. Like, when
- 19:41Speaker 1: you have a thought, just post. Don't overthink the thought.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Just post the thought. Yeah.
- 19:45Speaker 3: And if you're creative and you just want to create, like,
- 19:47Speaker 3: that's also what I've told myself is, like, just create.
- 19:50Speaker 3: to create and forget like if it does any like
- 19:52Speaker 3: validation and likes or comments or shares you have to
- 19:56Speaker 3: create because it makes you happy like whenever I edit
- 19:58Speaker 3: our videos together like it actually fills me with joy
- 20:01Speaker 3: so the outcome I don't really care it's nice to
- 20:03Speaker 3: have a connection it's nice to have the validation but
- 20:05Speaker 3: also you have to remember like if you're a creative person,
- 20:08Speaker 3: that's your outlet. Yeah. Have fun just creating, get joy
- 20:11Speaker 3: out of that. But it is tricky when everything we
- 20:14Speaker 3: do now is for some kind of like share or save.
- 20:18Speaker 1: What that, but here's the thing. That's our, our currency.
- 20:21Speaker 1: So for example, we had a long conversation about ratings yesterday, um,
- 20:24Speaker 1: which is not a conversation I'm just going to like,
- 20:26Speaker 1: just start divulging on. But like, there's things that, so
- 20:30Speaker 1: the conversation that we were having was like, People listen
- 20:33Speaker 1: for a while, but like you have to reach a
- 20:35Speaker 1: certain level in the ratings to make money. And so,
- 20:38Speaker 1: you know, it might sound dumb to be like, okay,
- 20:41Speaker 1: you have to post what you think is going to
- 20:42Speaker 1: get traction, but you have to do that so you
- 20:43Speaker 1: can post the shit that fills you up, like the
- 20:45Speaker 1: creativity things. Like they're like posting a random video that
- 20:49Speaker 1: I just had a thought about just like, oh, blah, blah, blah,
- 20:52Speaker 1: typically sports. It's not fulfilling creatively. But I know that's
- 20:55Speaker 1: going to get me on a bajillion people's algorithms.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Yes.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Whereas if I get on a bajillion people's algorithms, then
- 21:01Speaker 1: when I do create something that's interesting to listen to,
- 21:04Speaker 1: like a podcast or a video, you have that audience
- 21:06Speaker 1: there to recognize it. And you hope that kind of
- 21:08Speaker 1: fuels the.
- 21:10Speaker 3: Yeah it's like finding a way to make sure that
- 21:12Speaker 3: it's still paying off in the long run it's not
- 21:14Speaker 3: just a post that goes into the void like whoo
- 21:16Speaker 3: off into the space yeah so if.
- 21:18Speaker 1: You see me whoring myself out for Tampa Bay sports
- 21:20Speaker 1: that's why.
- 21:20Speaker 2: It makes sense you're good at it you're so good
- 21:23Speaker 2: at it and it strikes every.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Time not every time I mean the AMC one didn't
- 21:28Speaker 1: get a lot of traction let's let's make fun of
- 21:30Speaker 1: my post what if I post that is hasn't done
- 21:31Speaker 1: well um you know what's so funny every time I
- 21:34Speaker 1: post about chill bros I feel like it never gets
- 21:36Speaker 1: a lot of traction I just did an ice cream
- 21:38Speaker 1: review yesterday.
- 21:38Speaker 3: I wonder if it's because it looks like an ad
- 21:40Speaker 3: it probably does it didn't look like an ad but
- 21:43Speaker 3: I mean I guess maybe that's like a thought like
- 21:45Speaker 3: it's so interesting and maybe you don't like if you're
- 21:48Speaker 3: hearing this you're like you know I'm not a content
- 21:50Speaker 3: creator I'm not a you know somebody that's posting a
- 21:52Speaker 3: lot it's fascinating for us to like catch yourself on
- 21:56Speaker 3: what you stop on when you're scrolling it is interesting
- 21:59Speaker 3: yeah it's so crazy because you're like why did I
- 22:01Speaker 3: stop why am I watching and that's what I've caught
- 22:03Speaker 3: myself doing more of like Why did I scroll past it?
- 22:05Speaker 2: Why did I stop? And I wonder how people look
- 22:07Speaker 2: at that one. Cause I'm like, that's a funny, cool post.
- 22:09Speaker 1: The chill bros. Well, I just thought it would resonate
- 22:11Speaker 1: with people in Tampa. Oh, people love, love the bucks.
- 22:13Speaker 1: They love chill bros. Like, and it's not doing bad,
- 22:16Speaker 1: but like, for example, then here's me. What's, what's a
- 22:19Speaker 1: dumb one. Um, like I'm.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Just thinking about your past posts.
- 22:25Speaker 1: So for example, the one, what's so funny is the
- 22:27Speaker 1: October 3rd one that I posted about just Tampa Bay sports.
- 22:30Speaker 1: That was literally just, I'm a little drunk. I'm walking home.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Let me just talk about Tampa Bay sports. And I
- 22:35Speaker 1: posted it. It's got like 3000 likes.
- 22:38Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 22:38Speaker 1: It's just so random. But like, why did people stop?
- 22:42Speaker 1: I don't know. Just Tampa sports. And there's a girl talking.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Do you know what I mean? Yeah.
- 22:46Speaker 3: I don't know. I, I, sometimes I was listening to
- 22:49Speaker 3: this whole thing about, this is a weird tangent y'all morning.
- 22:52Speaker 3: I was listening to this whole thing about gambling. Where,
- 22:55Speaker 3: you know, how casinos work. And it's, you know, you
- 22:58Speaker 3: just get enough satisfaction where you think you could win.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:00Speaker 3: But never enough where you actually win it all. Because
- 23:02Speaker 3: if you win it all, then it kind of drops
- 23:03Speaker 3: off a little bit. So it's kind of like the
- 23:05Speaker 3: same thing. Like, they've taken the same exact concept and
- 23:07Speaker 3: applied it to social media. Where it's, you know, you
- 23:09Speaker 3: post six. One's going to do decent. One might do
- 23:12Speaker 3: really well. And the rest are going to do kind of, eh, flatline.
- 23:15Speaker 3: But it's going to give you enough of that carrot
- 23:16Speaker 3: where you're going to say, nah, I think I can
- 23:18Speaker 3: get another one.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 23:19Speaker 2: I think I can get another one. And that's where
- 23:20Speaker 2: the addiction comes in.
- 23:22Speaker 1: I know.
- 23:22Speaker 2: Where it's like, oh, God.
- 23:24Speaker 3: Could I do it again? You know, there's a part
- 23:26Speaker 3: of me every now and then I get this thought.
- 23:28Speaker 3: I'm like, yes, technically I could do this where I
- 23:32Speaker 3: could just drop off a social media altogether.
- 23:34Speaker 1: You could.
- 23:35Speaker 2: I could.
- 23:35Speaker 3: Like, so I'm not saying I can't, but. Yeah, it
- 23:39Speaker 3: would be the dumb idea to do with the jobs
- 23:40Speaker 3: that we have. Yeah, because, I mean, you don't have
- 23:44Speaker 3: to sit on social media all day.
- 23:45Speaker 1: I don't.
- 23:46Speaker 3: But to not post is not smart for us. Yes,
- 23:48Speaker 3: but it's kind of like you're still playing with that addiction.
- 23:51Speaker 3: So me even getting on to create, I'm still going
- 23:53Speaker 3: into the void of like, ooh, bright colors, notifications, interesting things.
- 23:59Speaker 3: The next thing you know, I'm like, I have this
- 24:00Speaker 3: thing on my app on my phone now that tells
- 24:02Speaker 3: me how many times I've opened Instagram.
- 24:05Speaker 2: It's insane. insane yeah it sits at like 50 a day.
- 24:08Speaker 1: But if you think about it social medias are town
- 24:10Speaker 1: square and so i'm not saying it's right i'm not
- 24:13Speaker 1: saying we should be on social media all the time
- 24:16Speaker 1: but it's sort of like you just want to know
- 24:18Speaker 1: what people are up to i know what are the
- 24:20Speaker 1: people talking about in the town square yeah you know
- 24:22Speaker 1: if this was the 1509 you'd just be a social creature.
- 24:26Speaker 2: You'd just be out in the streets talking to neighbors.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Granted, you shouldn't be at the town square all day.
- 24:31Speaker 1: You got to go to work. You know, you got
- 24:32Speaker 1: to pay so you can have a pint at the
- 24:35Speaker 1: pub in the town square.
- 24:36Speaker 3: I'd rather go have a pint in a conversation in
- 24:38Speaker 3: the town square.
- 24:39Speaker 1: So I think that's why it's so tough for us
- 24:41Speaker 1: to not be on it because it's like, what am
- 24:42Speaker 1: I missing? Like, what are people talking about? Yeah.
- 24:44Speaker 3: And I guess the difference is like in the town square,
- 24:46Speaker 3: you just saw people as people.
- 24:48Speaker 2: But online, people are like, well, I'm this character now.
- 24:50Speaker 3: I have all these likes and I have this image
- 24:52Speaker 3: and I have this whole view of what you think
- 24:53Speaker 3: about me. And it might not be true, but I'm like, oh, wow,
- 24:56Speaker 3: look at them. They have a whole lot of stuff.
- 24:57Speaker 3: It's like going in and people have all these fake
- 24:59Speaker 3: houses in the town square. They're like, look at my house.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Oh, my God, no.
- 25:02Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, God.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Do you know who we probably share an algorithm with?
- 25:05Speaker 1: Have you followed a girl named Shelby Sapp?
- 25:08Speaker 2: Oh, the sales girl?
- 25:10Speaker 1: Yes, not Warren Sapp's long white daughter.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Let me open up her.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Because she's someone that I'm like, I know she probably
- 25:18Speaker 1: made her money legit, but her life is so grandiose
- 25:21Speaker 1: that I'm like, there's no way that's real. She lives
- 25:23Speaker 1: in this insane house in Maryland. It's got to be
- 25:26Speaker 1: like a $ 30 million house.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Let me see. Oh, okay. Because I do know.
- 25:31Speaker 1: By the way, this is like not hating on this girl.
- 25:33Speaker 1: I'm just bringing up the fact that sometimes I see
- 25:36Speaker 1: her life and I go, that's AI. Oh, yeah. Yeah.
- 25:39Speaker 2: She has one point eight million. She's a sales trainer. Yeah. Wow.
- 25:43Speaker 3: OK, so I see a lot of these people in
- 25:45Speaker 3: the male world. It's like fitness guys that are like, well,
- 25:47Speaker 3: look at my body. I'm going to sell you how
- 25:49Speaker 3: to make a how to get your body like this.
- 25:51Speaker 2: And I'm like, bro, you are on roids like that's
- 25:54Speaker 2: not even like you're cheating the system. Yeah.
- 25:57Speaker 1: It's like fitness influencers on Reta or. Or zumpy. Yeah.
- 26:00Speaker 3: Like, where it's like, okay, yeah, you have a certain
- 26:03Speaker 3: look and maybe you did do well in sales, but
- 26:05Speaker 3: it's just hard to tell with social media because you
- 26:07Speaker 3: could have made your money in other ways and now
- 26:09Speaker 3: you're flaunting that money to tell people that it's from
- 26:12Speaker 3: sales to get more money from people buying your sales training.
- 26:15Speaker 1: It's actually so valid.
- 26:16Speaker 2: It's so valid.
- 26:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:17Speaker 1: So, I mean, good for her.
- 26:19Speaker 2: Yes, exactly.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Crazy amounts of money.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 26:22Speaker 3: And that's where, like, it just, it piles on where
- 26:25Speaker 3: you could just have this illusion of who you are
- 26:26Speaker 3: and now you can make money for that illusion. I'm like, but,
- 26:29Speaker 3: I literally talked to my coach about this. I can't
- 26:32Speaker 3: do that. My internal, my code could not do that.
- 26:35Speaker 3: I couldn't act as something that I'm not just to
- 26:38Speaker 3: have a paycheck for something because I'm like, that's not legit.
- 26:41Speaker 1: No, because that wouldn't be fulfilling in the long run.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Yeah, it might be fun to have a little bit
- 26:45Speaker 2: of money.
- 26:46Speaker 1: I ultimately think, and maybe this is delusional, I really
- 26:49Speaker 1: think if you do the thing that you enjoy doing,
- 26:51Speaker 1: at some point the money will come.
- 26:52Speaker 2: I 100% agree.
- 26:53Speaker 1: I really, I have to be delusional enough to believe
- 26:57Speaker 1: that's real. Yeah.
- 26:58Speaker 3: I think if, how I've always said it is we're
- 27:01Speaker 3: all kind of given like an idea or a dream
- 27:04Speaker 3: or a project that we want to work on. And
- 27:06Speaker 3: sometimes it doesn't look exactly as we imagined. But there's
- 27:09Speaker 3: a branch of it. That could be something that could
- 27:12Speaker 3: be very fulfilling. It's still hitting that purpose.
- 27:14Speaker 2: Yeah. But you found a way to make money.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Because ultimately, I feel like the things that you love doing, like,
- 27:20Speaker 1: you like them for a reason.
- 27:22Speaker 3: Correct.
- 27:22Speaker 1: Do you know what I mean? Mm-hmm.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Like, you should find a way that it's actually going
- 27:25Speaker 3: to be fulfilling. And not everyone needs to make money
- 27:28Speaker 3: from it. Yeah. But you should also recognize that there's
- 27:31Speaker 3: probably an option for you to make money.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Like, I talk to my brother about this all the time.
- 27:35Speaker 2: Bless you.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Sorry.
- 27:37Speaker 2: My brother's such a good artist. Like, insane. An artist.
- 27:41Speaker 3: they're such an interesting breed because they just naturally have it.
- 27:44Speaker 2: It just, it is crazy.
- 27:45Speaker 1: I can't draw a stick figure to save my life,
- 27:47Speaker 1: but some people can just like, it's insane to me.
- 27:50Speaker 1: They can just draw a perfect circle. And that's why
- 27:52Speaker 1: we have circles. Yeah.
- 27:54Speaker 3: Like they just came out one day and they're like,
- 27:55Speaker 3: Oh my God, I'm just really good at this whole thing.
- 27:57Speaker 3: That's how my brother is. And I'm like, if you want,
- 27:59Speaker 3: and you don't have to, cause it might make it
- 28:01Speaker 3: feel like a job instead of something that you truly
- 28:03Speaker 3: love doing.
- 28:04Speaker 2: But I'm like, you can make money off of that.
- 28:06Speaker 3: You could just show people you drawing and they will
- 28:08Speaker 3: pay because it's that satisfying to see somebody do a
- 28:11Speaker 3: skill that we don't have.
- 28:12Speaker 2: I don't have the drawing skill.
- 28:14Speaker 3: I watch videos all the time on Instagram of like
- 28:16Speaker 3: an overhead view of somebody just drawing or painting. And
- 28:19Speaker 3: it's just the time lapse of it. And I'm like,
- 28:21Speaker 3: you can make money doing that. And his argument, and
- 28:23Speaker 3: maybe it's yours too, listening of, yeah, I love this thing.
- 28:26Speaker 3: But like if I try to make it into something
- 28:28Speaker 3: that makes me money, it might take the satisfaction away
- 28:30Speaker 3: from it because now the pressure is kind of raised
- 28:32Speaker 3: up a little bit.
- 28:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:34Speaker 2: On what it looks like.
- 28:35Speaker 3: It's just, it's hard because it would be nice to
- 28:37Speaker 3: have a little extra cheddar in that bank account.
- 28:39Speaker 1: For sure. But I love supporting people who are doing
- 28:43Speaker 1: the thing that they love. Yeah. I don't want to
- 28:44Speaker 1: go to an accountant to somebody who hates being an accountant.
- 28:47Speaker 1: I want to go to somebody who loves numbers and
- 28:49Speaker 1: Excel spreadsheets.
- 28:50Speaker 3: Yes. I think, oh, I saw there's a business here
- 28:53Speaker 3: in Tampa Bay.
- 28:53Speaker 2: It's called in St.
- 28:54Speaker 3: Pete. I want to say the Berg Nutrition. It's a
- 28:58Speaker 3: smoothie shop in St. Pete.
- 28:59Speaker 2: And I just watched their Instagram and it made me
- 29:01Speaker 2: fall in love with their brand even more.
- 29:02Speaker 3: Because they talked about this was our dream for such
- 29:05Speaker 3: a long time. They showed them like literally renting the building,
- 29:08Speaker 3: putting it all together, launching their first business for the
- 29:11Speaker 3: smoothie shop. And because it's their passion, because they're so
- 29:14Speaker 3: excited for it, I'm like, I'm always going to y'all.
- 29:17Speaker 3: You're so excited about that, that yeah, I'm going to
- 29:21Speaker 3: go and support that business because you put so much time,
- 29:23Speaker 3: energy and passion behind it.
- 29:25Speaker 1: It's interesting because I was thinking about this yesterday with
- 29:27Speaker 1: influencer brands because there's a couple of influencers I follow
- 29:30Speaker 1: that have just launched a couple of things and I'm like,
- 29:33Speaker 1: I totally respect them getting into the business space because
- 29:35Speaker 1: I think that's just a smart business move in general.
- 29:38Speaker 1: But sometimes it does just feel like. a cash grab.
- 29:41Speaker 2: A hundred percent.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Where I'm like, you make so much money that like,
- 29:44Speaker 1: why am I going to buy something that I know
- 29:46Speaker 1: you wouldn't buy for yourself?
- 29:48Speaker 3: Correct.
- 29:48Speaker 1: Does that make sense?
- 29:49Speaker 3: That's where there's a very hard line of like, even
- 29:52Speaker 3: things that we like endorse with radio. Like sometimes, you know,
- 29:55Speaker 3: you get pitched for something that's, that doesn't really feel
- 29:58Speaker 3: authentic to me.
- 29:59Speaker 2: I don't feel like somebody's recently.
- 30:01Speaker 3: And again, I haven't learned enough about, for this topic,
- 30:04Speaker 3: peptides to know, like to get into this discussion, but
- 30:08Speaker 3: I've been offered peptides. if I wanted to support and
- 30:10Speaker 3: endorse peptides.
- 30:11Speaker 1: Why doesn't nobody offer me these things? I get on peptides.
- 30:13Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 30:14Speaker 1: What's the one that everyone's getting that makes your skin glow?
- 30:16Speaker 1: It's the copper? The GHK? Okay. Shoot me up with GHK.
- 30:20Speaker 1: I will give you the contact for it. No one
- 30:23Speaker 1: ever pitches me for endorsements. I'm like, do people think
- 30:26Speaker 1: I don't like... To buy things?
- 30:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I think everyone thinks you just have it all.
- 30:29Speaker 2: You're just good.
- 30:30Speaker 1: I think she's fine.
- 30:31Speaker 2: She's fine. She's got all her good active sets. She's good.
- 30:33Speaker 2: She's got that finger all bandaged up. Oh, is your
- 30:35Speaker 2: finger all taken care of?
- 30:36Speaker 1: No, I just took off the bandage last night because
- 30:38Speaker 1: my finger was turning purple.
- 30:40Speaker 2: Abby, Jesus.
- 30:41Speaker 3: I know.
- 30:42Speaker 2: What the hell?
- 30:43Speaker 1: I think it looks fine now.
- 30:44Speaker 2: I think it looks okay now. Oh, my God. There
- 30:46Speaker 2: you go.
- 30:46Speaker 1: What's up, bitches? Is it wonky now?
- 30:49Speaker 2: No, it doesn't look like that. You're good. But anyway,
- 30:51Speaker 2: back to that.
- 30:52Speaker 3: We see celebrities all the time that are like, I
- 30:54Speaker 3: feel like they're just pimping themselves out. And again, make
- 30:56Speaker 3: your money. But it's not right to do it for
- 30:59Speaker 3: your people that love you. And you're going to make
- 31:02Speaker 3: them fall in love with a brand that you know
- 31:03Speaker 3: you don't use. I don't like to buy things from
- 31:05Speaker 3: rich people. Because I'm like, you're not using that. You're
- 31:09Speaker 3: not drinking that gin. You're not wearing that sweatshirt.
- 31:12Speaker 1: You're buying yourself bloopity bloop bloop bloop.
- 31:15Speaker 2: There are a couple, though, that I have. Like, I believe....
- 31:19Speaker 3: Like, The Rock has energy drinks. Like, I went all
- 31:22Speaker 3: in on him because I was like, yeah. Because you
- 31:25Speaker 3: like The Rock.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I like The Rock. I don't know. He has
- 31:27Speaker 2: a brand that I could trust for me.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:30Speaker 3: I'm like, I look at him and I'm like, I
- 31:32Speaker 3: feel like I could trust that guy. That would be heartbreaking, though,
- 31:35Speaker 3: to find out, you know, that this whole illusion.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Can I break your heart a little bit? Yeah. He's
- 31:41Speaker 1: not drinking those.
- 31:41Speaker 2: No way.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Yes, he is. He's not drinking those.
- 31:44Speaker 2: He has to be.
- 31:45Speaker 1: He's The Rock. You think he's drinking a $ 4 energy drink?
- 31:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I think so. I actually do. I legitimately do.
- 31:52Speaker 1: So here's why I respect Gwyneth Paltrow. Have you heard
- 31:54Speaker 1: of Goop, her Goop wish list or her Goop Christmas list?
- 31:57Speaker 1: She'll put out these Christmas lists that have these insane
- 32:01Speaker 1: items that you can buy. It's sort of like Oprah's
- 32:04Speaker 1: favorite things, but it's super, super luxe. I respect that more.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Tell me to buy the $ 3, 000 Cartier bracelet because you
- 32:10Speaker 1: love it. Because I'm like, you know what? Gwyneth Paltrow
- 32:12Speaker 1: probably does love the $ 3, 000 Cartier bracelet.
- 32:15Speaker 2: That's a much better way to do it. Cause now
- 32:16Speaker 2: you're being real.
- 32:17Speaker 1: Like, okay. Yeah.
- 32:18Speaker 3: You don't have to buy these things, but if you
- 32:19Speaker 3: truly wanted to see what I love, this is it. Like,
- 32:22Speaker 3: who did we talk about yesterday? Like even, you know,
- 32:24Speaker 3: everyone knows, I don't know, Jennifer Aniston for Aveeno.
- 32:28Speaker 2: I'm like, Oh yeah. But she's also a brand that
- 32:31Speaker 2: I trust.
- 32:31Speaker 1: I don't know why. I don't think Jennifer Aniston is
- 32:34Speaker 1: using Aveeno.
- 32:34Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 32:35Speaker 1: Maybe she is though. It's a great brand.
- 32:37Speaker 2: It's a great lotion.
- 32:38Speaker 1: Why can't they just sponsor things that, They actually like. Like,
- 32:42Speaker 1: tell me you're using the $ 200 moisturizer. I would be
- 32:44Speaker 1: more apt to buy the $ 200 moisturizer that Jennifer Aniston
- 32:47Speaker 1: is using.
- 32:48Speaker 2: If you know it's actually legitimately working.
- 32:49Speaker 1: If that's legitimately what she was using. Because I remember,
- 32:52Speaker 1: because again, all roads lead back to Taylor Swift with me.
- 32:55Speaker 1: I was watching her documentary and there was a.
- 32:58Speaker 1: A clip of her about to get in the bathtub.
- 33:00Speaker 1: And I was like, what products are like, I was,
- 33:02Speaker 1: I was screenshotting. I was like, what does she use
- 33:04Speaker 1: on her hair? Like genuinely when you're a billionaire, what
- 33:07Speaker 1: shampoo do you use? And I would have been, I
- 33:09Speaker 1: would have not that I bought her expensive stuff, but
- 33:12Speaker 1: I was like, you know what? If it's like a
- 33:14Speaker 1: hundred dollar shampoo, maybe I'll try it once.
- 33:15Speaker 2: Let's try it once.
- 33:17Speaker 3: Absolutely, because there is certain items that the price does matter.
- 33:22Speaker 1: Sometimes.
- 33:23Speaker 2: Not always. Very rarely. But there are some things that
- 33:25Speaker 2: you're like, okay, that's worth every dollar.
- 33:26Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 33:27Speaker 3: And if it's going to have that magic, like I
- 33:28Speaker 3: spent more on, I don't know, now that I have
- 33:31Speaker 3: longer hair, I spend more on hair products, and I'm
- 33:34Speaker 3: trying to find the ones that are actually legit. Because
- 33:36Speaker 3: you get sold all these ones, and yeah, the cheaper
- 33:38Speaker 3: items work better for my wallet, but do they work
- 33:40Speaker 3: better for the long run of quality, of look, of
- 33:43Speaker 3: what you're going for? Or could you save yourself a
- 33:45Speaker 3: lot of time and energy- by just going to the
- 33:47Speaker 3: next level. It's hard to pick because now we're getting
- 33:50Speaker 3: sold literally everything. And everyone's jumping into perfumes and everything too.
- 33:53Speaker 1: The people that I like to buy from are the
- 33:55Speaker 1: people who are incredibly intelligent about the industry. So for example,
- 33:59Speaker 1: I follow this girl who audits activewear. And she'll tell
- 34:02Speaker 1: you like who cuts corners, who actually has good active wear.
- 34:06Speaker 1: And I'm like, whatever you sell me, I will buy
- 34:08Speaker 1: you because you're explaining why something's high quality. And so
- 34:11Speaker 1: she's like, aloe is trash. XYZ is trash. This is trash.
- 34:16Speaker 1: But like buy Athleta or Lululemon because they don't cut
- 34:19Speaker 1: corners in specific areas. I'm like, okay, I will take
- 34:22Speaker 1: my money.
- 34:22Speaker 2: Yeah, like they justify the price.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Yes.
- 34:25Speaker 2: That makes a lot more sense.
- 34:26Speaker 3: It's hard because there's some brands that like, There's this influencer.
- 34:30Speaker 2: He's a fitness influencer, Nick Bear. I don't know if
- 34:32Speaker 2: you've ever seen his stuff.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Let me look him up.
- 34:34Speaker 3: But he has a YouTube channel, and it's kind of
- 34:36Speaker 3: the most genius thing you could do because he, again,
- 34:39Speaker 3: I think he does.
- 34:40Speaker 2: It's his own brand, so I would think he uses it.
- 34:43Speaker 3: But created this brand based off of his workouts and
- 34:46Speaker 3: the person that he's become.
- 34:47Speaker 2: And because of that, I bought into it. I was like, shoot.
- 34:50Speaker 3: I mean— If he's put this together, he tells why
- 34:54Speaker 3: it works. For some reason, I don't know the dude.
- 34:56Speaker 3: I have nothing to back it up, but I'm like, well,
- 34:59Speaker 3: I'm going to buy into it because at least it
- 35:01Speaker 3: looks like he actually uses his own product.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Should we give our product recommendations, our non-sponsors, or should
- 35:08Speaker 1: we do no free ads?
- 35:09Speaker 2: I mean, shoot, the podcast fam knows.
- 35:12Speaker 3: I'm trying to think of what are the things that
- 35:14Speaker 3: you use that are absolutely worth it.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Other than the things that you get paid to endorse
- 35:18Speaker 1: right now, what are, like, the three things you're not
- 35:20Speaker 1: getting paid to endorse that you would love to endorse?
- 35:23Speaker 2: That's a good question.
- 35:24Speaker 1: And maybe we can send this to sales, me and
- 35:25Speaker 1: my sweatshirt.
- 35:28Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh. I would say even.
- 35:31Speaker 3: Okay, so if you're on the YouTube channel, I'm wearing
- 35:33Speaker 3: a shirt right now. I got it from this place
- 35:35Speaker 3: called Six Laps. I think it's a brand of Fit
- 35:37Speaker 3: to Run.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Okay.
- 35:38Speaker 3: It is the greatest quality shirt I've ever worn. Yeah, like,
- 35:42Speaker 3: this is super thick. It's super durable.
- 35:45Speaker 1: And.
- 35:45Speaker 3: I got a pair of, like, walking running shoes on
- 35:49Speaker 3: clouds from Six Laps. I've had them for over a year.
- 35:52Speaker 3: The most comfortable walking shoes I have ever owned.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Because you're on a cloud.
- 35:56Speaker 2: I'm on a cloud.
- 35:57Speaker 1: So they're as advertised.
- 35:58Speaker 2: Yeah, like, they're legit. Like, I will go spend the money.
- 36:01Speaker 2: And I think the shoes were, like, $ 160. So no
- 36:06Speaker 2: cheap shoe. Okay.
- 36:07Speaker 3: But worth every dollar that I would go back. And
- 36:10Speaker 3: I wish they were endorsing me.
- 36:11Speaker 1: So Six Laps on clouds. One more.
- 36:14Speaker 3: And we'll then fit to run. But I'm trying to think.
- 36:16Speaker 3: I would say the other one is like the whoop band.
- 36:18Speaker 1: Oh, you do wear the whoop. I was going to
- 36:19Speaker 1: say what hair products have you found that have worked
- 36:21Speaker 1: for your your flow?
- 36:22Speaker 3: We're still kind of getting there. We're discovering what really works.
- 36:25Speaker 3: I use the sea salt spray. I can't even think of.
- 36:28Speaker 1: Why are you using a sea salt spray?
- 36:30Speaker 2: Because people on TikTok told me. Literally, that's the reason.
- 36:34Speaker 3: Because I have now if you go through my algorithm,
- 36:36Speaker 3: it's like every third video is a dude showing me
- 36:39Speaker 3: how to do hair.
- 36:39Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, okay. So I use this.
- 36:41Speaker 3: It's called Fix Your Lid Sea Salt Spray. This is
- 36:44Speaker 3: like a cheap one. I don't know if it's doing
- 36:46Speaker 3: the justice.
- 36:46Speaker 2: Just salt in a bottle.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Salt in water.
- 36:50Speaker 2: I'm now on the journey to find that.
- 36:51Speaker 3: But the other one I would say is like I
- 36:52Speaker 3: bought into Whoop, and that was one that like, all right,
- 36:56Speaker 3: I spend the money for it.
- 36:57Speaker 2: I like what it's done for my body. I'm all in.
- 37:00Speaker 1: If I was going to endorse three things that I'm
- 37:02Speaker 1: not currently endorsing is- So non-sponsored. So non-sponsored. So free ad. Yep.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Fashion pass.
- 37:07Speaker 1: Fashion pass. Fashion Pass is a clothing rental brand. This
- 37:11Speaker 1: has saved me from getting into a shopping addiction.
- 37:14Speaker 2: Oh, really?
- 37:15Speaker 1: Because getting new items or new outfits scratches the itch
- 37:18Speaker 1: that I don't feel like I constantly need to buy things.
- 37:21Speaker 1: Because I do have a problem where I don't feel... Okay,
- 37:26Speaker 1: this is an actual problem. If I go out and
- 37:28Speaker 1: I'm wearing an outfit that's not new... I don't know
- 37:32Speaker 1: if anybody else feels this way. I feel kind of weird.
- 37:34Speaker 2: No, you're not alone with this.
- 37:35Speaker 1: If I'm not wearing an outfit that feels new, I
- 37:37Speaker 1: don't feel like my optimal self. Do you know what
- 37:39Speaker 1: I mean? Yes. And I'm a maximizer. Like I want
- 37:41Speaker 1: my hair to feel as good as it could. Like
- 37:43Speaker 1: I want to feel, I want to work out that
- 37:44Speaker 1: morning so I feel ripped. And then I want to
- 37:46Speaker 1: wear a new outfit.
- 37:47Speaker 3: You know, I would compare it to like just flipping
- 37:50Speaker 3: it a little bit is we could all you know,
- 37:54Speaker 3: recognize the feeling we get when we do put on
- 37:56Speaker 3: that outfit that we really love.
- 37:57Speaker 2: It's that same feeling.
- 37:58Speaker 1: Something novel. I like the novelty of it. And so this,
- 38:01Speaker 1: it's a way to budget that. So you just spend X, Y,
- 38:04Speaker 1: Z amount of dollars and then you get new clothing
- 38:06Speaker 1: items every single month. So instead of impulse buying and
- 38:09Speaker 1: kind of randomly just going willy nilly with the budget,
- 38:11Speaker 1: you know how much you're going to spend on clothes
- 38:12Speaker 1: that year. And every now and then, like, I buy
- 38:14Speaker 1: my own active wear, obviously, but you get new outfits.
- 38:18Speaker 1: They're very high-quality outfits, and you get to have that
- 38:21Speaker 1: novelty of, ooh, I have a new fit on.
- 38:23Speaker 2: You feel really good when you go out.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 38:25Speaker 2: Your best self. Well, I guess we don't need to
- 38:27Speaker 2: talk about the price of it.
- 38:28Speaker 1: It's $ 98 a month. Well, no, Fashion Pass might be
- 38:31Speaker 1: $ 100 a month, $ 120 maybe.
- 38:33Speaker 2: How many outfits do you get with that?
- 38:35Speaker 1: So you get six items, but you can change them out. Oh, nice. So, like,
- 38:40Speaker 1: you can change it out twice a month. So if
- 38:42Speaker 1: you order something— And it's like, oh, it doesn't fit.
- 38:45Speaker 1: You can send it back and you can get a
- 38:46Speaker 1: new item. Oh, nice. Or if you just want like
- 38:48Speaker 1: a new fit, then you can just send them all
- 38:49Speaker 1: back and get something else halfway through the month. So
- 38:51Speaker 1: technically 10. That makes sense.
- 38:53Speaker 3: I mean, that sounds like, again, you know, we all
- 38:56Speaker 3: spend money on things that we know it's like we
- 38:59Speaker 3: could justify the price of it.
- 39:00Speaker 2: Like if it makes you feel good. Heck yeah, do it.
- 39:03Speaker 1: For me, it's a money saver. There's an upfront cost,
- 39:06Speaker 1: but at the end of the day, at the end
- 39:08Speaker 1: of the fiscal year, I've saved money.
- 39:10Speaker 3: Yeah, and you're not like if you have the shopping
- 39:12Speaker 3: addiction where it's like just buying things. And then we
- 39:14Speaker 3: have the other problem is where all these things go.
- 39:17Speaker 3: If you have them in your house, in your closet,
- 39:19Speaker 3: you're going to drive yourself crazy.
- 39:21Speaker 2: Exactly. Trying to find space for it. What's another one?
- 39:23Speaker 1: Another thing that I really love is. I love how
- 39:26Speaker 1: I asked the question. but I didn't even really think
- 39:31Speaker 1: about it. I'm trying to get a spray tan and
- 39:34Speaker 1: a blow-dry endorsement. So, like, here's the thing. I will
- 39:38Speaker 1: invest in people. Like, for example, there are people who
- 39:41Speaker 1: have been a part of my beauty routine that I
- 39:43Speaker 1: wish I could endorse them. Because, like, for example, I'm
- 39:45Speaker 1: on that quest to find the perfect eyebrow lady in
- 39:47Speaker 1: Tampa still searching.
- 39:48Speaker 3: Yes.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Um, if I could find a lady that I was like,
- 39:51Speaker 1: she's really good at doing spray tans or whatever, I'd
- 39:54Speaker 1: be like, listen, you have to go to Linda.
- 39:56Speaker 2: Take my credit card. Take my credit card.
- 39:57Speaker 1: But I will, I will pay you however much, if
- 39:59Speaker 1: you say it's a $ 300 spray tan or maybe not
- 40:01Speaker 1: for a spray tan, spray tans I don't really give
- 40:03Speaker 1: that big of a fuck about, but like I spend
- 40:05Speaker 1: a lot of money on my hair. What do I
- 40:06Speaker 1: wish I could pay to indoors?
- 40:08Speaker 3: I do like the idea of people. Like I will
- 40:09Speaker 3: add that to my list is, you know, I pay
- 40:12Speaker 3: for a coach. Like I have a life coach in
- 40:13Speaker 3: my life.
- 40:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:14Speaker 2: It's the greatest investment I've ever made. It's expensive.
- 40:17Speaker 1: Hell yeah. It's expensive.
- 40:18Speaker 2: It's expensive. But it was worth every single dollar.
- 40:22Speaker 3: And I don't even know if I would still, I
- 40:24Speaker 3: don't mean this as like my own life, but like
- 40:26Speaker 3: literally in my career.
- 40:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:27Speaker 3: I don't think I would be here without it. So
- 40:30Speaker 3: it's like changed my life financially, emotionally, relationally.
- 40:33Speaker 1: Oh, dang.
- 40:34Speaker 3: All those things that it's so hard to, like when
- 40:37Speaker 3: you're in the beginning of the process, you're like, is
- 40:39Speaker 3: it worth this money?
- 40:40Speaker 2: You find the right one? Hell yeah.
- 40:42Speaker 1: Come on now.
- 40:43Speaker 2: Come on now.
- 40:43Speaker 1: Okay. I just thought of my third one. Solid core. Duh. Oh, yeah.
- 40:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:47Speaker 2: A good gym.
- 40:48Speaker 3: I was going to add to that one. Like if
- 40:49Speaker 3: you find a good gym because you go in there.
- 40:52Speaker 1: But you do endorse a gym.
- 40:54Speaker 2: I do.
- 40:54Speaker 3: Oh, see, I'm glad that one lives by my like motto.
- 40:57Speaker 3: Like crunch fitness. I actually go to.
- 40:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:59Speaker 3: Sometimes like you see all these celebrities that we talked
- 41:02Speaker 3: about that don't use their products.
- 41:03Speaker 2: I'm there at that MF and gym every day.
- 41:05Speaker 1: I know. I'm like kind of pissed. I'm not a
- 41:07Speaker 1: solid core endorser. Like I'm like, how has no one
- 41:09Speaker 1: made that happen for me yet? Because I feel like
- 41:11Speaker 1: I have enough body pictures for people to be like, oh. Because, listen,
- 41:15Speaker 1: I could tell you to buy a hair product all
- 41:16Speaker 1: day long. But, like, do I use it? You'll never know.
- 41:18Speaker 1: But my body? You can't hide that.
- 41:20Speaker 2: Can't hide that.
- 41:21Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Like, peptides aren't going to
- 41:22Speaker 1: do that. True. What would you like to de-influence people from?
- 41:26Speaker 1: What do you think is not worth it?
- 41:27Speaker 3: That's a good-ass question.
- 41:30Speaker 2: De-influence the things that I don't think are worth the money. Ooh.
- 41:35Speaker 2: I'm going to have to chew on this one for
- 41:37Speaker 2: a second.
- 41:37Speaker 1: Sit on it for a second.
- 41:38Speaker 2: Sit on it.
- 41:39Speaker 1: Hmm.
- 41:40Speaker 3: Sit on it.
- 41:42Speaker 1: That Steve Harvey meme? Okay. I feel like I usually
- 41:49Speaker 1: have things that I want to de-influence people from, but
- 41:51Speaker 1: now that I'm thinking about it. Oh, also let me
- 41:53Speaker 1: add to it, Chobani. I wish Chobani would pay me
- 41:55Speaker 1: to endorse them.
- 41:56Speaker 3: Have you ever reached out to any of these brands
- 41:57Speaker 3: that you use? Just socially.
- 42:00Speaker 1: I think sales at my last job tried to get
- 42:02Speaker 1: me a Chobani endorsement.
- 42:03Speaker 2: You need to talk to, so you've heard her on
- 42:05Speaker 2: the podcast before, Alexia.
- 42:08Speaker 3: Whole background in PR, all these connections, you should talk
- 42:11Speaker 3: to her on, like, how you should pitch yourself for, like.
- 42:13Speaker 2: I mean, because those are big-ass brands, so it's harder.
- 42:16Speaker 3: But, like, a Solidcore or a Chobani, where it's like,
- 42:19Speaker 3: there is a way, and you do have the following
- 42:20Speaker 3: for it.
- 42:22Speaker 2: Even if it was just free product. If it was
- 42:24Speaker 2: free product.
- 42:24Speaker 1: It would save me so much money if I could
- 42:25Speaker 1: just get free yogurt. Because I literally... I mean, sometimes,
- 42:29Speaker 1: if I don't have any... food in my fridge and
- 42:32Speaker 1: it's just yogurt like sometimes i just be pounding back yogurt.
- 42:35Speaker 3: Yeah and that's expensive for a couple jars of that
- 42:38Speaker 3: you eat it i don't know five minutes.
- 42:41Speaker 1: It's really great for muscle growth it's incredibly filling like
- 42:45Speaker 1: two of those no literally welcome to your ad chobani
- 42:48Speaker 1: I'm just going to send this to sales with my
- 42:50Speaker 1: wonky finger.
- 42:51Speaker 2: Wonk ass.
- 42:52Speaker 1: Two of those in the morning, it's like a brick
- 42:54Speaker 1: sitting in your stomach. So if you're trying to like,
- 42:56Speaker 1: not that I'm endorsing, if you're trying to like lose
- 42:58Speaker 1: weight or if you're on your fitness journey and you're like,
- 43:01Speaker 1: I can't stop eating constantly, two Chobanis in the morning,
- 43:06Speaker 1: 20 grams.
- 43:07Speaker 3: Done.
- 43:08Speaker 1: It's like you're good until like one.
- 43:10Speaker 3: I got one that I want. I have a bone
- 43:13Speaker 3: to pick with a certain brand. So I'm going to
- 43:15Speaker 3: use this as my D influence.
- 43:16Speaker 1: Okay.
- 43:16Speaker 2: Everyone's obsession with AirPods.
- 43:19Speaker 1: Oh yeah. I will never get on the AirPod train.
- 43:21Speaker 1: That's no.
- 43:22Speaker 2: Well, I made the mistake of recently getting on it.
- 43:24Speaker 3: So I decided with all this training I'm doing, I'm
- 43:27Speaker 3: going to go ahead, get a new pair of headphones.
- 43:30Speaker 3: Cause I had like these little beats ones that I
- 43:32Speaker 3: had that were, I got a little water because I
- 43:34Speaker 3: was sweating in it and it just never was the same.
- 43:36Speaker 2: I actually just broke them the other day trying to
- 43:38Speaker 2: like dry it out.
- 43:38Speaker 1: Every single person I know that has AirPods has lost
- 43:40Speaker 1: their AirPods at one point too.
- 43:41Speaker 2: Well, here's what happened.
- 43:42Speaker 3: I got them like three weeks. I was working out
- 43:44Speaker 3: on the treadmill and they literally say sweat resistant. Everyone
- 43:49Speaker 3: works out in them.
- 43:50Speaker 2: I don't like, yes, I sweat. I can't say I.
- 43:52Speaker 3: Sweat abnormally more than normal like other people. But I
- 43:55Speaker 3: took my AirPod out for just a second to adjust it.
- 43:58Speaker 1: And it fell out?
- 43:59Speaker 2: No, I think it got a little water in it.
- 44:01Speaker 2: And it was just like.
- 44:03Speaker 3: And it didn't sound right. And then it just never
- 44:05Speaker 3: sounded right. And all of a sudden, it doesn't make
- 44:07Speaker 3: any noise. And I had to take it to Best
- 44:09Speaker 3: Buy yesterday. And Best Buy's like, we can't even run
- 44:11Speaker 3: a diagnostic test on this thing. You're going to have
- 44:13Speaker 3: to go to the Apple store for it. So now
- 44:15Speaker 3: I've got to have another day going to Tampa for Apple.
- 44:19Speaker 1: Wired headphones are just not that bad. I know. I
- 44:22Speaker 1: like a wired headphone.
- 44:23Speaker 2: I honestly.
- 44:24Speaker 3: Here's another one that I will endorse that I'm gonna-
- 44:27Speaker 3: I had these pair of headphones that are called like
- 44:30Speaker 3: Shox Open Runner headphones. They're like bone conductor headphones. They're
- 44:35Speaker 3: meant for runners or active wear. Because they don't go
- 44:38Speaker 3: in your ear. And I've had them, I just can't
- 44:39Speaker 3: find them in my freaking apartment.
- 44:41Speaker 1: I know, that's the other thing, they're so easy to lose.
- 44:43Speaker 2: I know.
- 44:43Speaker 1: But that won't happen with wired headphones. You want to
- 44:45Speaker 1: know why? Because you've got that wonky, like, wire hanging out. Hey,
- 44:49Speaker 1: they're over here, they're in your purse.
- 44:51Speaker 3: I might go back to the wired ones because I
- 44:52Speaker 3: was so frustrated yesterday as, you know, they're supposed to.
- 44:56Speaker 1: Be the best headphones ever.
- 44:57Speaker 2: I know.
- 44:57Speaker 3: And they, like, broke within three weeks. And they've just
- 45:00Speaker 3: caused me so much of a headache.
- 45:01Speaker 2: And they were, like, $ 250. They're ridiculous. And now I
- 45:04Speaker 2: don't even get to use them.
- 45:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 45:06Speaker 2: So de-influence.
- 45:07Speaker 1: I'm going to de-influence people on independent coffee shop coffee.
- 45:10Speaker 2: Okay, now I can come back on that one, but
- 45:12Speaker 2: go ahead.
- 45:13Speaker 1: I've never been to an independent coffee shop and gone. Yeah.
- 45:17Speaker 1: This coffee's drinkable. Name one coffee shop with drinkable coffee.
- 45:22Speaker 1: I can.
- 45:23Speaker 2: I have plenty. I have Foxtail right here in the
- 45:25Speaker 2: Tampa Bay area. Local, delicious coffee. Here's what I love
- 45:29Speaker 2: about them too.
- 45:30Speaker 3: As a coffee drinker and someone that knows a little
- 45:32Speaker 3: bit more than the average Joe.
- 45:34Speaker 2: Get it?
- 45:34Speaker 1: Just call me dumb. No, no, no.
- 45:36Speaker 2: But like how important it is to have freshly roasted coffee.
- 45:39Speaker 1: Listen, I like freshly roasted coffee. I just think sometimes
- 45:42Speaker 1: they're really bad at making it.
- 45:44Speaker 2: Okay, that's a valid statement.
- 45:45Speaker 1: It tastes like battery acid to me.
- 45:47Speaker 2: Sometimes it is too acidic.
- 45:48Speaker 1: There is a very popular coffee shop down the street
- 45:50Speaker 1: from me that I walk by and I'm like, you
- 45:52Speaker 1: guys are faking this.
- 45:53Speaker 2: Ah, yeah.
- 45:54Speaker 1: Listen, they have great tea there. I will get their tea.
- 45:57Speaker 1: But it's not even their tea. It's somebody else's tea
- 45:59Speaker 1: that they sell.
- 46:00Speaker 2: I think you go mainly for the vibes.
- 46:02Speaker 3: Like that's where I like an independent shop where it's
- 46:04Speaker 3: like you go in, it's pictures on the wall. People
- 46:07Speaker 3: with crazy tattoos and piercings. You want that vibe when
- 46:11Speaker 3: you go in to an independent.
- 46:12Speaker 1: And there's never anywhere to sit either because everyone else
- 46:14Speaker 1: is there for the vibes. And so you're sitting there.
- 46:16Speaker 1: You brought your laptop and you're like, well, I just
- 46:17Speaker 1: came to work and now I can't work.
- 46:19Speaker 2: Now I can't work. I'm having a horrible cup of coffee.
- 46:21Speaker 1: They always have a bad parking situation.
- 46:23Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 46:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 46:24Speaker 3: But it's actually one of those things like in another
- 46:25Speaker 3: life or maybe in a couple of years, like I'd
- 46:27Speaker 3: love to open a coffee shop.
- 46:29Speaker 2: I'm going to be one of the independent coffee shop owners.
- 46:30Speaker 1: Do it. Well, you could do a franchise. You could
- 46:32Speaker 1: do a Starbucks.
- 46:34Speaker 2: I do love Starbucks. I'm not against Starbucks. You don't
- 46:36Speaker 2: think Starbucks is too acidic?
- 46:38Speaker 1: Starbucks is fine because I have low expectations for Starbucks.
- 46:41Speaker 2: Oh, but when you go to an independent, it's because
- 46:42Speaker 2: it's more expensive and you don't like the taste.
- 46:44Speaker 1: It's more expensive. You get there. I'm like, why did
- 46:47Speaker 1: I spend $ 8 on an Americano that tastes like the
- 46:51Speaker 1: bottom of my foot? You know?
- 46:54Speaker 3: Well, I do say you have a different way of
- 46:55Speaker 3: drinking coffee. You do drink it just black, so you
- 46:57Speaker 3: get the full.
- 46:57Speaker 1: I'm a purist. See, I would know. If you put
- 47:00Speaker 1: milk in it, then you could just be like, wow,
- 47:01Speaker 1: this milk is real milky.
- 47:03Speaker 2: Well, yeah, that's true. I would say.
- 47:06Speaker 1: Oh, you know who does have really good coffee, though,
- 47:07Speaker 1: that I will influence you on if you're in Tampa? Yes.
- 47:10Speaker 1: And I stand by this. I'm a Boulan apologist. Boulan
- 47:14Speaker 1: is the best. I don't even know if you can
- 47:17Speaker 1: call it independent because they're a part of such a
- 47:19Speaker 1: big restaurant group. But let's just let's just say for
- 47:22Speaker 1: argument's sake, it's an independent. Boulan coffee and their pastries
- 47:26Speaker 1: are fantastic.
- 47:27Speaker 3: That's I can't even hate on it because I haven't
- 47:30Speaker 3: done it. But it's just I think I just I
- 47:33Speaker 3: hate on the fact that it just feels so. Bougie
- 47:37Speaker 3: over there. So maybe that's where I come from. But
- 47:39Speaker 3: I will go and have some. It just feels overpriced
- 47:41Speaker 3: coffee and pastry.
- 47:42Speaker 1: It's really not overpriced. I mean, it's the same price
- 47:44Speaker 1: as going to Foxtail or Lucky Goat.
- 47:47Speaker 2: Yeah, but Foxtail is a nice barista that talks to me.
- 47:49Speaker 1: So does Boulogne.
- 47:50Speaker 3: Okay, maybe I'll go over there and check it out.
- 47:52Speaker 3: Because if you're going to influence me on it, then
- 47:54Speaker 3: it might be worse.
- 47:54Speaker 1: And their pastries are really fancy.
- 47:56Speaker 2: And you do have good taste. That's true. You have
- 47:58Speaker 2: a valid taste.
- 47:59Speaker 1: Let me influence you on Boulogne.
- 48:02Speaker 3: If you've been listening to this podcast for a while,
- 48:03Speaker 3: you've done been influenced.
- 48:05Speaker 1: I know. It's really not even that great. The last
- 48:06Speaker 1: time I went, I was like, this is fine. Yeah.
- 48:08Speaker 3: No, we walked by after the lightning game the other
- 48:10Speaker 3: night and my girlfriend and I were like, do we
- 48:12Speaker 3: want to go?
- 48:12Speaker 2: I was like, no.
- 48:14Speaker 1: It's got a nice bar.
- 48:15Speaker 2: It does look nice.
- 48:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:17Speaker 2: If you're going to go and have a nice drink out.
- 48:19Speaker 1: It's fun people watching.
- 48:21Speaker 2: It's fun to find a.
- 48:21Speaker 3: Place that actually is like really beautifully set up inside.
- 48:25Speaker 1: And I have heard the burger is good.
- 48:27Speaker 3: Have you been to, here's what I want to know,
- 48:29Speaker 3: because I can't say if I'm influenced or de-influenced, by
- 48:32Speaker 3: the Addition Hotel.
- 48:33Speaker 1: I would like to de-influence you from the Addition Hotel.
- 48:37Speaker 1: Let me be the first to tell you, fuck the Addition.
- 48:41Speaker 3: Oh!
- 48:41Speaker 1: I'm kidding. You're going to get like a $ 20 cocktail,
- 48:43Speaker 1: and there's going to be like nothing in it. It's
- 48:46Speaker 1: going to be like one shot.
- 48:47Speaker 2: That drives me nuts.
- 48:48Speaker 1: And I don't know, I just think the Addition attracts
- 48:50Speaker 1: the worst people in Tampa. Yeah. Really? I know that's
- 48:53Speaker 1: a bold statement, and listen, if you like the addition,
- 48:55Speaker 1: I'm sure you're the exception.
- 48:56Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, of course.
- 48:57Speaker 1: You are the exception. Every time I go there, though,
- 49:01Speaker 1: it feels like it's all the people that would like
- 49:03Speaker 1: to live in Miami, that would like to live in L.A.,
- 49:06Speaker 1: but they can't live there.
- 49:07Speaker 2: For whatever reason. So now they just stay at the addition?
- 49:10Speaker 1: They just stay at the addition. They're at the rooftop always.
- 49:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, that energy in general is typically not
- 49:16Speaker 2: my vibe.
- 49:16Speaker 1: It's very expensive. It's just a bunch of, 24-year-old daddy's money,
- 49:22Speaker 1: you Tampa grads.
- 49:24Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I guess maybe I'm just a hater because
- 49:27Speaker 3: I guess if I had... If I had daddy's money,
- 49:30Speaker 3: maybe I would go too.
- 49:31Speaker 1: We would. I would. And we would be less miserable.
- 49:34Speaker 2: Maybe that's why I'm a hater on it, though. That's
- 49:35Speaker 2: why we're hating. It's the same drink. I get the
- 49:37Speaker 2: same drink.
- 49:38Speaker 3: I could make the same drink five times if I
- 49:41Speaker 3: just made it at home instead of going to the audition.
- 49:44Speaker 3: But I've never stayed there, so I don't even know
- 49:46Speaker 3: if a room is worth that money.
- 49:48Speaker 1: I don't think they are because Dave Portnoy- is not
- 49:51Speaker 1: a fan of the Tampa edition like he was there
- 49:53Speaker 1: now listen it's a it's a pretty hotel I know
- 49:56Speaker 1: a lot of people like to sit there and do
- 49:57Speaker 1: work they like the coffee there um the location it's
- 50:01Speaker 1: great but yeah that's really about it like I'd rather
- 50:04Speaker 1: just stay at the JW.
- 50:05Speaker 3: Yeah well I was gonna say if I was gonna
- 50:07Speaker 3: spend that money I'd rather stay at the Don Cesar
- 50:09Speaker 3: over on the beach.
- 50:10Speaker 1: Yeah yeah well I mean if you're trying to stay
- 50:11Speaker 1: in channel side yeah so let me influence you on
- 50:14Speaker 1: the JW Marriott I've never.
- 50:16Speaker 2: Oh, I think I've been at the rooftop one time,
- 50:17Speaker 2: but I've never been.
- 50:18Speaker 1: See, the rooftop is great.
- 50:19Speaker 2: The rooftop is great. It's now gotten better. Like, there's
- 50:22Speaker 2: little things downtown, because, like....
- 50:25Speaker 3: This is probably the past couple years. Now it's worth
- 50:27Speaker 3: it to stay down there. But before, it wasn't. Yeah.
- 50:30Speaker 2: What the heck are you going to do down there?
- 50:32Speaker 2: You're going to go and just stay at your hotel.
- 50:33Speaker 1: To a concert?
- 50:34Speaker 2: Yeah, you go to a concert.
- 50:36Speaker 3: I guess if I was to live somewhere else and visit,
- 50:38Speaker 3: then that would be a cool experience.
- 50:39Speaker 1: So you live in St. Pete right now. Yes. If
- 50:42Speaker 1: you had to live in Tampa... Where in Tampa would
- 50:45Speaker 1: you move? West Shore, which is where all the 20-somethings
- 50:48Speaker 1: move because it's relatively inexpensive. There's a lot going on
- 50:51Speaker 1: down there. There's Hyde Park, which is sort of like
- 50:54Speaker 1: the bougie shopping mall area.
- 50:55Speaker 2: Yes, yes.
- 50:56Speaker 1: There's DI, where I live. That's where all the athletes
- 50:59Speaker 1: live and grandpas who inherited their cottage 500 years ago.
- 51:04Speaker 1: There's Harbor Island, which is where all the late 20s,
- 51:06Speaker 1: early 30s dinks live. And I just effed up my Band-Aid.
- 51:13Speaker 3: You could technically live in Ybor if you want, or
- 51:15Speaker 3: you could go in more central Tampa.
- 51:17Speaker 2: I would go to Harbor Island.
- 51:18Speaker 3: I've talked about this with my girlfriend before. We're like, okay,
- 51:21Speaker 3: where are options? Let's just throw options at a table.
- 51:24Speaker 3: If it wasn't St. Pete, Harbor Island. We have friends
- 51:27Speaker 3: that stay on Harbor Island, and we stayed at their
- 51:29Speaker 3: place once to watch their pets. The greatest experience. Because
- 51:33Speaker 3: we would walk their dog around beautiful Harbor Island, go
- 51:35Speaker 3: right by the water, see all the little boats. We
- 51:38Speaker 3: went by like a little, you know, American Social. area
- 51:42Speaker 3: over there, saw the yachts, and then you're right by
- 51:46Speaker 3: the arena.
- 51:47Speaker 2: You can walk to the arena. There's a beautiful Publix
- 51:49Speaker 2: right there in the corner. You could walk to Publix.
- 51:51Speaker 1: Lifetime.
- 51:52Speaker 2: It is. It looks nice.
- 51:54Speaker 1: Lifetime is a very nice and expensive gym down there.
- 51:56Speaker 2: Very expensive. I think it's like $ 1, 000 just to sign up.
- 52:00Speaker 2: But then the membership.
- 52:01Speaker 3: Goes down to like $ 300 a month. But to sign up,
- 52:04Speaker 3: it's at least like $ 1, 000 because I did look into it.
- 52:06Speaker 3: I'm always interested in big gyms. That's the thing I
- 52:09Speaker 3: don't mind spending money on. Yeah.
- 52:10Speaker 2: If it's a gym that like you go in there,
- 52:11Speaker 2: you feel great. There's something for it.
- 52:13Speaker 1: He's like, let me influence you.
- 52:15Speaker 2: No, no, no. Crunch fitness, baby. All day, every day.
- 52:17Speaker 1: If I had just randomly moved here, I probably would
- 52:19Speaker 1: have picked Hyde Park, but probably Harbor Island. Like when
- 52:22Speaker 1: my parents kicked me out. Oh yeah. But now I've
- 52:24Speaker 1: lived on DI for so long that I feel like
- 52:26Speaker 1: DI is my neighborhood.
- 52:27Speaker 3: But I think you would like Harbor Island the same.
- 52:29Speaker 3: Cause it's, Honestly, I think it's even closer to all
- 52:31Speaker 3: the things that you like.
- 52:31Speaker 1: Yeah, that's actually so true.
- 52:33Speaker 3: And it's why I like it so much is because
- 52:36Speaker 3: I heard the prices of some of the apartments, and.
- 52:38Speaker 2: It wasn't atrocious.
- 52:39Speaker 1: No, they're really not that bad.
- 52:40Speaker 2: Yeah, and they're nice.
- 52:42Speaker 3: When we stayed at our friend's apartment, I was like,
- 52:43Speaker 3: this is a big apartment. And they're not paying an
- 52:46Speaker 3: arm and a leg. You got a beautiful view. You're
- 52:49Speaker 3: in the center of everything going down in downtown Tampa.
- 52:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 52:52Speaker 3: That it's honestly, it might be where we end up living.
- 52:56Speaker 1: So when you and your girlfriend move in together next year,
- 52:58Speaker 1: like what, where are you, where are you going to move?
- 53:01Speaker 1: Is she okay with staying in St. Pete?
- 53:04Speaker 2: Open to it.
- 53:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 53:05Speaker 2: I think. She's now learned so much about St. Pete
- 53:07Speaker 2: because I'm there.
- 53:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 53:09Speaker 2: Before it was mainly Tampa, but now I've opened her
- 53:11Speaker 2: eyes to the beauty of St. Pete.
- 53:12Speaker 1: It's crazy to me that people who grew up in
- 53:14Speaker 1: Tampa never go over to St. Pete.
- 53:16Speaker 3: It's weird because it is truly that bridge. Like I
- 53:18Speaker 3: was joking with you about the lightning game the other day,
- 53:19Speaker 3: but I'm like, I don't want to drive over that bridge.
- 53:22Speaker 3: I know.
- 53:22Speaker 2: I just, I don't know what it is. I think
- 53:24Speaker 2: it's just the risk of when you're stuck on the bridge,
- 53:26Speaker 2: you're stuck on the bridge.
- 53:27Speaker 1: But there's the ferry now.
- 53:29Speaker 2: There is the ferry.
- 53:30Speaker 1: Now you have no excuse.
- 53:32Speaker 2: Now we can take the ferry over. That's true. I
- 53:35Speaker 2: think St. Pete is... a better vibe, better energy, chill people.
- 53:40Speaker 1: Okay.
- 53:41Speaker 3: So that would be number one. But number two would
- 53:43Speaker 3: be Harbor Island. Because my girlfriend did live in Tampa
- 53:46Speaker 3: for years and loved it. Truly thrived. And now there's
- 53:50Speaker 3: so much more to do down there. I would be
- 53:52Speaker 3: okay with it. I just like the energy of St.
- 53:54Speaker 2: Pete more.
- 53:54Speaker 1: Yeah. I don't know what you would do in Tampa.
- 53:57Speaker 2: I don't either.
- 53:57Speaker 1: You specifically.
- 53:58Speaker 2: Correct. I don't either. I'm like, that's, I don't know
- 54:01Speaker 2: if I fit that energy.
- 54:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 54:03Speaker 3: I'm like a, I like to walk down Central, pop
- 54:05Speaker 3: into a coffee shop, maybe have a go a little
- 54:07Speaker 3: like cheap sandwich somewhere and then be good to go.
- 54:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 54:10Speaker 2: Like that's, I don't know. I love St.
- 54:12Speaker 1: Pete.
- 54:13Speaker 2: I would live in St.
- 54:13Speaker 3: Pete for the rest of my life. I could see
- 54:15Speaker 3: myself getting a house, having a family right there in St.
- 54:18Speaker 1: Pete. Hell yeah, brother.
- 54:19Speaker 2: But maybe Harbor Island for a little bit to live
- 54:21Speaker 2: the downtown life.
- 54:22Speaker 1: No, because I have a feeling she'll probably just move
- 54:24Speaker 1: wherever you want to move.
- 54:25Speaker 3: Well, it's now the conversation of, like I said, options.
- 54:29Speaker 3: We're in just the very beginning of the conversation.
- 54:31Speaker 2: Options.
- 54:32Speaker 3: What could that look like? Where would you want to
- 54:34Speaker 3: go if the world was your oyster? Let's see anything
- 54:37Speaker 3: out there.
- 54:37Speaker 2: Because who knows? Then maybe go up the coast. Palm Harbor.
- 54:40Speaker 2: Safety Harbor. Dunedin. All very pretty areas.
- 54:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 54:44Speaker 2: You also just got to kind of keep it by work.
- 54:46Speaker 2: Just like a little bit.
- 54:47Speaker 3: I don't want to drive an hour every day like
- 54:49Speaker 3: a lot of our coworkers live up in Wesley Chapel
- 54:51Speaker 3: and Lutes.
- 54:52Speaker 1: You could not. Gun to my head. Don't make me
- 54:55Speaker 1: move to Wesley Chapel. That's where all the Bucks players live.
- 54:58Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, well, that's true, because I guess if you
- 54:59Speaker 3: do get up, it's a quicker drive down to where
- 55:02Speaker 3: they practice.
- 55:02Speaker 1: Yeah, but have you driven through Wesley Chapel? I'm like,
- 55:05Speaker 1: there's nothing here except for chain restaurants.
- 55:07Speaker 2: Yeah, a ton of chain restaurants and the big old mall.
- 55:09Speaker 1: I mean, you can get a lot of land there,
- 55:10Speaker 1: so I get where they want to move there, but,
- 55:12Speaker 1: you know, if I'm a Bucs player making a million
- 55:14Speaker 1: or whatever a year, I'm not moving off Wesley Chapel.
- 55:18Speaker 3: I guess if you have a family, it's better, because
- 55:20Speaker 3: a lot of friends that I have that started having families,
- 55:22Speaker 3: that's where they moved, to get, like, a reasonably priced house,
- 55:25Speaker 3: because if you're looking in Tampa and St.
- 55:26Speaker 2: Pete, you're like, The heck?
- 55:28Speaker 1: The real estate sucks.
- 55:29Speaker 2: Yeah, it's horrible. I don't think it's going to get better.
- 55:31Speaker 1: It's only going to get worse. Until hurricanes hit, then
- 55:34Speaker 1: you might be able to get a good deal.
- 55:36Speaker 3: I was thinking, I said this a couple podcasts ago, like,
- 55:39Speaker 3: you know, maybe one day it's even further than Lutes.
- 55:41Speaker 3: Maybe it's like Spring Hill. Get a little land, a
- 55:43Speaker 3: couple goats, a couple chickens, and even a little pig.
- 55:46Speaker 1: Live your dream, King.
- 55:48Speaker 2: It's our life. Go ahead and live it. You've now
- 55:50Speaker 2: been influenced.
- 55:51Speaker 3: Anytime you hear one of these episodes, you can always
- 55:53Speaker 3: comment on the podcast.
- 55:55Speaker 2: We go through. We read your comments. We appreciate the
- 55:57Speaker 2: ratings as well. And if you haven't yet, we're on YouTube.
- 56:01Speaker 1: We're on the YouTubes. Check it out on the episode description.
- 56:04Speaker 2: Thank you all. I'll be back after Key West.
- 56:07Speaker 1: Yeehaw. Oh, yeah. We won't have an episode until Monday,
- 56:10Speaker 1: maybe Tuesday. Yeah.
- 56:12Speaker 2: I have stories for, you know.
- 56:13Speaker 1: We'll have stories.
- 56:14Speaker 2: Hopefully I come back after this tropical storm.
