The UK is launching its own Powerball lottery, letting players snag U.S.-sized jackpots starting at £12 million—with the potential to soar into the billions. First draw Thursday could see a UK winner claiming the current $416 million U.S. jackpot. New UK-specific prizes include £8 for matching two numbers and £1 million for five.
