- 0:22Speaker 2: She discovered how easy Relief Factor makes it to adjust
- 0:25Speaker 2: or cancel any time. Now she says her knee pain
- 0:28Speaker 2: is better, she doesn't rely on any other pain relievers,
- 0:30Speaker 2: and she tells everyone it's absolutely worth it. Rebecca is
- 0:33Speaker 2: just one of many. I'm one, too. Lower back pain
- 0:36Speaker 2: after my hip surgery? Not anymore, thanks to Relief Factor.

- 1:06Speaker 1: Mike Gallagher. Every day, Mike visits with Mark Davis. Morning
- 1:11Speaker 1: host on 660 AM, The Answer in Dallas. Here's today's
- 1:15Speaker 1: Eminem experience.
- 1:17Speaker 3: We're probably going to do it tomorrow afternoon because today
- 1:22Speaker 3: I better block out the entire day. I mean the
- 1:24Speaker 3: entire day because this afternoon we're doing the seven-hour film
- 1:29Speaker 3: experience of You can see everything. We're doing that.
- 1:32Speaker 2: It's not seven hours. It's two and a half, maybe 245.
- 1:35Speaker 2: It's every bit of three. It won't feel like it.
- 1:39Speaker 2: That's what I understand. Listen, tell me about your voting experience.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Then I'll give you movie anticipation. Two things. I just
- 1:46Speaker 2: love how here in Florida... They identify your driver's license
- 1:51Speaker 2: like it's an episode of Forensic Files. I mean, they
- 1:55Speaker 2: are scanning it. They are staring at it. They are
- 1:58Speaker 2: looking at the front of it. They're looking at the
- 1:59Speaker 2: back of it. They're making sure that the codes match up.
- 2:03Speaker 2: It's a great system. I mean, you know, in other words,
- 2:05Speaker 2: we care about showing that you are who you say
- 2:08Speaker 2: you are when you show up to vote. It's a
- 2:10Speaker 2: crazy idea. It's a novel concept.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Imagine that.
- 2:13Speaker 2: They don't do that in New York or Florida. I mean,
- 2:16Speaker 2: or California or Illinois. It is. And look, it was busy.
- 2:21Speaker 2: It was busy. Here we are, you know, less than
- 2:24Speaker 2: two weeks away and a lot of early voters, a
- 2:27Speaker 2: lot of enthusiasm. Met a nice young man. They had
- 2:30Speaker 2: a tent set up outside of the polling place, your
- 2:33Speaker 2: conservative voting headquarters, and they gave me a cheat sheet
- 2:37Speaker 2: about all the different races. Because, look, I'm engaged, but
- 2:41Speaker 2: I don't know a lot of the city council. But
- 2:45Speaker 2: I'll tell you what I enthusiastically voted yes for.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Amendment 3 in Florida. Yeah. begins the path under Governor DeSantis'
- 2:54Speaker 2: leadership of eliminating property tax altogether.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Imagine that, what we've been begging for in Texas for years.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Mark, it is such a profound act of leadership. DeSantis'
- 3:08Speaker 2: point is you've worked your whole life and you've paid
- 3:12Speaker 2: off your house. Maybe you're getting ready to retire. You've
- 3:16Speaker 2: spent 10, 30, 50 years maybe to pay that house off.
- 3:20Speaker 2: But then the government says, uh-uh, we're not done with
- 3:23Speaker 2: you yet. And you're going to pay us rent for
- 3:26Speaker 2: that house for the rest of your life.
- 3:29Speaker 3: And if you don't, they come get it, meaning you
- 3:31Speaker 3: never really own your home.
- 3:32Speaker 2: It's absurd. It's absurd. And you know what? People say, well,
- 3:36Speaker 2: they're going to have to get the revenues. You know what?
- 3:38Speaker 2: Get the revenues somewhere else. Figure it out.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Or, because this has been the eternal argument in Texas,
- 3:43Speaker 3: Don Huffines ran for governor against Greg Abbott four years ago,
- 3:46Speaker 3: talked about getting rid of property taxes forever. In 10 years?
- 3:49Speaker 3: How long do they think it'll take in Florida? How
- 3:51Speaker 3: long is the plan? Three to five. So the way
- 3:55Speaker 3: they're talking about it now, if Amendment 3 passes, the exemption,
- 4:00Speaker 3: they call it a homestead exemption. So you're homesteaded, which
- 4:03Speaker 3: incidentally also in Florida gives you a whole bunch of
- 4:06Speaker 3: protections where they can't basically come and take your house if, oh,
- 4:09Speaker 3: I don't know, you question election integrity or you don't
- 4:13Speaker 3: like the vaccine and they want to take your house away.
- 4:15Speaker 3: You got all kinds of protections there, too. But the
- 4:18Speaker 3: homestead exemption, I think the number, it goes from 50
- 4:21Speaker 3: to 150,000 and eventually 300,000. And eventually you're going to
- 4:26Speaker 3: be completely exempted from property taxes altogether.
- 4:30Speaker 2: So go back to the Huffines, Greg Abbott. So he
- 4:34Speaker 2: ran on it.
- 4:34Speaker 3: And listen, it was I think people thought it was
- 4:37Speaker 3: almost too good to be true because all any Texas
- 4:39Speaker 3: politician has gone and let obviously an early voting process.
- 4:42Speaker 3: God bless Governor Abbott. God bless Dan Patrick. Get in there.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Vote for them. Do this. They will always be better
- 4:48Speaker 3: than the Democrats that they are running against. But once
- 4:51Speaker 3: we get them firmly and comfortably reinstalled, it will be
- 4:55Speaker 3: time for the people of Texas to rise up and
- 4:58Speaker 3: say enough. Enough talk about, well, I'm going to reduce
- 5:01Speaker 3: your property taxes by this much. Yeah, how about reducing
- 5:03Speaker 3: them to zero?
- 5:05Speaker 2: Zero.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Tell me when you're going to do that.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Zero, and then we'll talk. Now, Mark, make no mistake.
- 5:10Speaker 2: They're going to have to get the revenue somewhere, and
- 5:14Speaker 2: I know that.
- 5:14Speaker 3: But stop, because I've had Huffines on, and Huffines is
- 5:19Speaker 3: going to go be Texas Comptroller now, so he's fine,
- 5:22Speaker 3: and he and Abbott have made nice, and it's great.
- 5:24Speaker 3: But that might be a false, almost lib– Because that
- 5:30Speaker 3: presumes that it's almost like you've got to pay for
- 5:34Speaker 3: tax cuts.
- 5:34Speaker 2: No, you don't.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Just go find things to cut. Go find waste. Go
- 5:39Speaker 3: find bloat. Go find fraud. I'll bet if we really
- 5:41Speaker 3: got serious about that, even in Texas, we could find
- 5:44Speaker 3: all kinds of money lying around.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Balance the budget, in other words, on the local government level.
- 5:49Speaker 2: You are right. I mean, I'm just telling you the
- 5:51Speaker 2: way of the world, and local governments aren't going to say, oh, well,
- 5:54Speaker 2: now all of a sudden we get– because they're already
- 5:56Speaker 2: talking about it here in Florida. Oh, we're going to
- 5:57Speaker 2: have to cut back. We're going to have to cut
- 5:59Speaker 2: back the police.
- 5:59Speaker 3: You'll have no cops.
- 6:00Speaker 2: You'll have no water. You'll have no cops. You'll have no–
- 6:03Speaker 2: and we won't have any museums. We're not going to
- 6:06Speaker 2: have any museums anymore. We're not going to have it.
- 6:08Speaker 2: But here's what Ron DeSantis said. And this is to
- 6:12Speaker 2: your point. And once again, you are right. You are
- 6:15Speaker 2: correct in the way you pushed back on me. Listen
- 6:18Speaker 2: to this. In the past seven years in Florida, property
- 6:21Speaker 2: tax revenues across Florida's 67 counties have increased nearly 100%.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Local governments are taking in almost twice as much money. Now,
- 6:34Speaker 2: the state of Florida, under DeSantis' watch, has reduced its
- 6:39Speaker 2: budget four years in a row. So like you said, Mark,
- 6:42Speaker 2: then local government has to do the same thing. You
- 6:45Speaker 2: figure it out, local government. You're greedy and you guys
- 6:49Speaker 2: don't know how to balance budgets. And you're sticking it
- 6:53Speaker 2: to the homeowners. But it's still going to come down
- 6:56Speaker 2: to the general population at least having that perception. Look,
- 6:59Speaker 2: they're going to figure it out somewhere else. This Amendment
- 7:02Speaker 2: 3 here in Florida and in every state that tries
- 7:04Speaker 2: to do this, it'll come down to the property, the
- 7:07Speaker 2: homeowners versus the renters. The renters are going to say,
- 7:11Speaker 2: I'm not going to vote for that. Why do I care?
- 7:13Speaker 2: I mean, and the homeowners are going to, I hope,
- 7:15Speaker 2: enthusiastically vote for it, which is the way I did yesterday.
- 7:18Speaker 2: And let's hope and pray it happens. What a glorious day.
- 7:22Speaker 2: What a glorious day when a senior can look forward
- 7:25Speaker 2: to retirement, going to be on a fixed income. And
- 7:28Speaker 2: guess what? You're not going to have to pay that
- 7:31Speaker 2: damnable property tax bill.
- 7:32Speaker 3: No longer renting your house from the government.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Amen. 100%, 100%. And there's no argument against that. There's
- 7:39Speaker 2: no argument against that, period. And I don't care what...
- 7:42Speaker 2: Anybody's going to say I'm very passionate about that. I'm
- 7:44Speaker 2: also pretty passionate about the debate last night between Mike
- 7:48Speaker 2: Rogers and Abdul El-Sayed.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Tense much? Tense much?
- 7:52Speaker 2: Abdul is a little nervous, I think. Maybe that little guy.
- 7:56Speaker 2: And he is little. Remember, I saw him at the
- 7:58Speaker 2: LaGuardia airport and like an idiot. Pardon my French, like
- 8:01Speaker 2: a dumbass. I said, good luck. What the heck was I?
- 8:06Speaker 2: And he smiled at me.
- 8:08Speaker 3: Just being gracious in public. Have a throwdown at the terminal?
- 8:11Speaker 3: I don't think so.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Well, no, I should have. I should have said, you're
- 8:13Speaker 2: a fascist commie pinko.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 8:16Speaker 2: That wouldn't have gone really well. But anyway, he was
- 8:20Speaker 2: sweating last night, and Mike Rogers calling him out with
- 8:23Speaker 2: his ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. It's funny.
- 8:26Speaker 3: He and Ted Cruz both are– there is a narrative
- 8:29Speaker 3: that's been developed that this guy cannot be trusted if
- 8:32Speaker 3: the Democrats do win the Senate.
- 8:34Speaker 2: What?
