- 0:20SPEAKER_00: How are we doing, everyone?
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: Tommy Grassaffi here in Nashville, Tennessee.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: It is election night.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: We are live.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: Something I haven't done in a long time, but well, hell with it.
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: I have all this equipment.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: I know how to do it.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: Let's let's talk markets.
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: We're gonna let a few more people get joined in here while we're because when you do a live stream, you gotta let people log on a little bit.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: Just to let you know what I'm watching.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: I have a chart of the AP race.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: I have my trusted source here, trade the news.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: Real quick about trade the news, good friend of ours here at Agble and AgSquawk.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: Trade the News is an audio squawk service.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: I literally have a laptop up to my left, and all night while the election's going out, the good folks at Trade the News are saying results.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: So if you hear like I look distracted or something, it's because the results are coming out.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: Now I have a few ways to get the results.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: Obviously, so do all you, but I chose the AP so it's not a certain channel or anything left or right.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: But I have to tell you, we got a big blue wave here tonight.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: And I thought there would be a little bit more.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: Oh, this guy won that state or that girl won this state, but that that's not how it went.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: Let's look real quick at the markets.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: What's it mean to you?
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: SP 500's down 100, NASDAQ down 600, Dow down 400.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: All types of market moves here tonight.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: Gold's actually up$20.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: Keep an eye on gold and silver.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: That's been a high flyer here.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: A lot of markets moving, and we are talking markets, so I just want to let you know future trading involves risk and loss, not suitable for everyone.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: Past profits are not necessarily indicative of future results or profits.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: Past profits, I tell you what, the commodity markets are in a slump and getting worse tonight.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: Now, there's a couple of reasons that happened.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: One, after the close, corn, beans, and wheat all closed lower.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: And then after the close, Stonex came out with results.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: And those Stonex results are for the month of October, they had corn yields at 182.1 and soybean yields at 54.1 bushels per acre.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: And then in November, they raised the corn yield 183.1 soy 55.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: Folks, that's soybean number.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: If soybean yields are 55, that's that's a big number, and that can pose some risk.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: Currently, looking at the grains, let me uh flip over there to a new chart.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: Corn's down three and three quarters.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: These corn 438 and three-quarters.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: Soybeans are down 15.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: Jan beans are now below$12, trading$11.98.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: Looking through my bifocals.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: Real quick, hey, give me a thumbs up if you're out there, if you're watching, drop us a comment.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: I can see comments.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: Just let me know that you can hear me, you can see me, and that you're participating in the stream.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: Of course, of course, if you're out there, if you're out on the X world, give us a retweet.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: That would really help uh get some folks in here in the stream tonight.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: So yeah, it looks like a few people are joining and can see, but someone drop me a comment.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: Of course, if you want to comment on YouTube, you have to subscribe to the channel.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: That stops people from spamming us.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: There's always some jokers out there, right?
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: And all right, back to the show.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: So Stone X comes out with numbers after the close.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: Greens had a bad day just to start.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: Outside markets were mixed all day, but now the results are coming in and they're coming in hot and heavy.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: Hey, hello there.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: All right, Joe Gersafi, he's a fan favorite, but he's my brother.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: I love him.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: He's part of the AgBull team.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: Joe Gersafi is a commodity broker here at AgBull Trading, and he helps out on the AgBull Media side a lot.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: Who else do we?
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: Oh man, we got some fan favorites.
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: Now, you guys could see I'm on the struggle bus.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: I'm trying to look through my bifocals at the screen, but we'll give a shout-out.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: Let me think.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: I think I got a shout-out button over here.
- 4:30unknown: Come on.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: So I see Steve.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: I see Richard.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: Hey, Luke.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: Luke, those 55 bushel beans certainly are not in the Carolinas this year.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: That's because you have 85 bushel beans, my friend.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: Luke, one of the original followers uh from the old ATI Pro Media days, and then uh Luke came over and uh joined us here at Agbol.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: So, Luke, thanks for that time.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: You stopped in Valpo and we went out for breakfast.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: That that was awesome.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: I think he even got an AgBOL Media sweatshirt or something.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: All right, so you can hear me, you can see me.
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: Grains, grains had their own problems before the election.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: Now, because the markets are down now, that doesn't mean that's where they're gonna be tomorrow.
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: So initially on the big shout-out, I see Mike, Mike from South Bend, longtime listener, first time caller.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: Mike gives a shout-out.
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: The the markets are down a lot, but I I kind of seeing how the stock market initially reacted.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: After the close today, I went home and took a nap, and the Nasdaq was up over 150 after hours.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: That was based on some AMD earnings and some other good news out of some companies.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: On my walk from my apartment here to Nasvik Trading, and I am in downtown Nashville.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: When I logged onto my phone, the Nasdaq went from up 100 to down 200.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: Now it's down about, it looks like it's down about 600 still.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: But if you think back to the election of 2016, the presidential election, when all the polls said that it was pretty much a for sure thing that Hillary Clinton was going to win.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: Although she didn't, that definitely had a big move in the markets, much bigger than this.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: Now, when I say the S ⁇ Ps are down 100 or the NASDAQ's down 600, you have to remember how big the how big the markets are.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: Like when I was a kid at the Board of Trade, we put on hats when the Dow Jones hit 10,000.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: We had Dow Jones 10,000 hats.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: When the stock market crashed in October of 87, the Dow Jones was trading 2,500, had one of its worst days ever, went down 500.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: Well, the Dow Jones is down 500 right now.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: But for you folks out there not having to take off your shoes and do math, the Dow Jones is down less than 1%.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: So whether you're rooting for blue, rooting for red, the results are what they are, and they are very strong results.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: I took a look at my local elections in Indiana.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: I I spend time in Nashville and I spend time in Porter County, Indiana, and there was a big blue wave in the city of Valparaiso, Indiana.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: There was a big blue wave in the county of uh Porter County.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: There was a big blue wave in the state of Indiana.
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: We are typically a very red state, but looking over the headlines here from our friends at Trade the News, it says Democratic Party to win majority control of the Senate and the House.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: Some crazy results.
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: My friend Jim Wiesmeyer, who you all know, of course, from Wiesmeyer's perspectives, he texted me this one.
- 7:51SPEAKER_00: He's got all types of tidbits.
- 7:53SPEAKER_00: It's the first time in 94 years.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: North Carolina, South Carolina, Kansas, Texas, and Iowa.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: Abbott concedes.
- 8:00SPEAKER_00: And Jim Wiesmeyer's getting ready to do part two.
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: Jim Wiesmeyer is releasing coverage of the electron results.
- 8:07SPEAKER_00: And for you home gamers out there, I don't know if you know this, but Jim took his content and Jim and I, we've been doing this video called Wiesmeyer's Perspectives for golly, about 18 months now.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: And looks like this Wiesmeyer's Perspectives with Jim Wiesmeyer.
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: But the video was gaining popularity, and Jim's been putting out publications.
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: Jim's been an ag analyst or DC correspondent, whatever you want to call him, for over 50 years.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: And so Jim took his information and went to the other side of the AgBull website.
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: So now what we have is Agble Intel.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: That's all the stuff we're putting out, market related, and the Weissmeyer video.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: And we also have now Weissmeyer's Perspective.
- 8:53SPEAKER_00: So if you go to AgBull.com and you go up to the top and look in the center, that's how you could subscribe to Jim.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: So I know a lot of you joined us because the video, and whether you subscribe to Agble Intel or Weismeyer's Perspective, you still get that video.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: But for you home gamers out there, I think you'll notice we are no longer putting that video out in the public that is paid for content.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: So Agble Intel, Weismeyer's Perspective.
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: If you're a markets person, you definitely want to be on the Agble Intel side.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: If you want all Jim's written, print, and stories, of course, you want gym stuff.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: Several people have subscribed to both, and we're grateful to have you.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: I got a feeling some of you are not happy with the election results, but I have a way to make it better.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: And nothing makes it better like a free speaker.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: So sign up for AgBull Intel and this on the AgBull Intel side.
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: We haven't made a Weesmeyer speaker yet, but uh sign up on the AgBull Intel side and say, hey, I paid for a year.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: I want my free speaker.
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: Now, some of you have asked, does this speaker really exist?
- 9:57SPEAKER_00: Well, hell yeah, it exists.
- 9:59SPEAKER_00: It's right here.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: I have an Agble speaker right here.
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: I see Maxi Field from North Dakota has joined the show.
- 10:06SPEAKER_00: Hi, Maxie.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: We will be sending you a speaker.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: And shame on Uncle Shannon for putting nasty trick-or-treats in your son's trick-or-treat, but I did get that picture.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: Let's go back under the comments, see who's all with us.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: If you're out there, just say hi or say something.
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: I'm happy to be here.
- 10:27SPEAKER_00: Am I shocked?
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: If you could ask me a question, am I shocked about the election results?
- 10:33SPEAKER_00: I'm not shocked so much that there's a blue wave, but the intensity of the blue wave is quite interesting.
- 10:42SPEAKER_00: And with that, it's you know, the the people get the vote.
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: That's what makes America such a great country, real quick.
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: Just give me one second.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: I just want to spin this on uh X and make sure I'm on over there also.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: All right, there we are.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: Oh, I see.
- 11:07SPEAKER_00: There's 74 people watching me on X.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: My software said there was only two people watching me on X.
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: I was kind of bummed out.
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: All right, if you're on X, drop a comment, whatever the heck you want.
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: Am I surprised at the election results?
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: I'm surprised at the intensity of the election results.
- 11:24SPEAKER_00: Well, let's bring in the star of the show.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: Those are the election results.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: Let's look at the U.S.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: Senate here.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: I'll uh refresh this and see what we have here.
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: A lot of states, you know, you got your state like of Illinois, that's always going to be blue, but hot states, I believe South Carolina, big hot state, Texas, hot state.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: All the ones Jim mentioned in that text, and I'll go over it again just so I don't forget North Carolina, South Carolina, Kansas, Texas, and Iowa.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: Not only in the Senate race, but obviously the uh the House let's move over there.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: I'm looking for that one.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: The house, oh let's look at the house right here.
- 12:05SPEAKER_00: The house move.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: Now it was predicted because Jim was kind enough to bring on a great political person.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: His name is David Washerman from the Cook Political Report.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: And Jim and David Washerman did a show a few weeks ago.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: If you didn't check that out, David Washerman and Jim Wiesmeyer from David's with Cook Political Report.
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: David spends his time traveling all over the country doing the guy's a genius.
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: He there's every single house seat, left, right, middle, he can name every Senate seat, left, right, middle.
- 12:41SPEAKER_00: He can name every person and what's going on with them.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: But they did a report on that.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: And one of the things Washerman said when he was on with Jim, and this caught my attention, was it's not that it's not that maybe a Republican farmer was going to go blue.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: He just thought, he thought Republicans were so upset with what's going on.
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: What are the hot topics?
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: Well, you got inflation, it's out there.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: Healthcare, fuel, just the overall cost of living.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: So right now, quoting you up the markets, grains are having a horrible, horrible time from five weeks ago when President Trump met with President G of China.
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: And President Trump Trump, I quote, farmers are going to be really happy.
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: Well, I can tell you, I work with a lot of farmers.
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: They are not happy.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: They're not happy at all.
- 13:31SPEAKER_00: Matter of fact, they're probably more scared and worried because now they have crops that they put in at close to record high inputs, and now the price of the crop is falling.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: It's been falling for a few weeks.
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: It fell more tonight.
- 13:44SPEAKER_00: I do have a feeling that maybe by the end of tomorrow the markets won't be as bad.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: Here we have a tweet.
- 13:51SPEAKER_00: Trump deflects blame for blue wave tech AI tanks as it happens.
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there's a lot of things that could happen here with uh tech and AI and more regulation and everything else.
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: It'll be very interesting.
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: One of the things President Trump said earlier tonight, I quote, I wasn't on the ballot.
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be interesting to see what the next few years are like.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: Hey, if you're out there on X, give this a retweet, give it a thumbs up.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: If you're out there on YouTube, subscribe to the channel.
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: I appreciate it.
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: All right, got a fresh comment here.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: Let me go look at that.
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: Oh, I see the I see the original Ted Talker.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: I'll go along with that.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: So, Ted, if I can, if I can assuming Ted's a Republican, he's just not happy with the current state.
- 14:40SPEAKER_00: Did maybe Ted go in Iowa and vote blue?
- 14:43SPEAKER_00: Maybe not, but he may have just maybe split the ticket, maybe did something else.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: Big shout out to Delaney and everyone watching.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: So we have election results.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: Let's go over it here real quick and we'll try to go over the hot topics.
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: If you haven't joined Jim's putting up, obviously, whatever this website is, I didn't pay for it.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: We're gonna have some pop-up ads.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: Here's the U.S.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: House results.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: That is a big blue wave.
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: Let's move over to the Senate.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: That, I guarantee, is a pretty big blue wave.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: The the governor's races, I'm no expert on it, but I can tell you the trend is very consistent.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: Someone who trades markets involved with markets, the trend is a blue wave.
- 15:28SPEAKER_00: Look at these states that are ringing up blue.
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: And one of the things I said the other day on Cow Guy was that every American gets a vote.
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: Whether you farm 25,000 acres, 50,000 acres, and you think you paid a million dollars in taxes and you think you get to deserve 20 votes, that's not how it works in America.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: And that's why, as we celebrate 250 years of America, that's why we have to be grateful for the country we live in.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: I'm working here at the office tonight, and a young man who's helping me, uh, Justin, helping me with graphics, and he's posting another story for Jim right now as we speak on the election coverage.
- 16:09SPEAKER_00: And make sure you, if you can, if you can check that out.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: But he said, Are you upset?
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: And I said, No, not at all.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: This is America.
- 16:17SPEAKER_00: This is why we're free.
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: I'm maybe a little shocked that the the wave is as strong as it is, and I thought it was gonna be up till 12, 1, 2, we'd be waiting.
- 16:29SPEAKER_00: Jim's coming out.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: Jim told me to get five thumbnails ready.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: Part one, part two, part three, part four, part five of election coverage.
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: Folks, we're we're not gonna need part three, four, and five.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: Jim did story number one, came out with some results.
- 16:43SPEAKER_00: He just texted us.
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: Justin's posting that on the Ag Bull website.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: If you're looking for Jim's part, go over to Wiesmeyer's Perspectives.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: If you want to sign up for jimwiesmeyer.ag.
- 16:56SPEAKER_00: W-I-E-S-E-M-E-Y-E-R.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: I have to uh do nursery rhymes to remember how to spell it.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: But okay.
- 17:05SPEAKER_00: Ted, is it okay if I say this on air?
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: Your comment?
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: Give me a thumbs up if it's all right.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: I know Ted well enough.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: I think it is.
- 17:11SPEAKER_00: This is from the original Ted Talker, a friend from Twitter.
- 17:13SPEAKER_00: He's been a guest on the show.
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: No, I didn't go blue at all, but not surprised by the outcome.
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: I think all farmers thought the pain would be over.
- 17:25SPEAKER_00: Oh, he said yes.
- 17:26SPEAKER_00: That's good, Ted, because I'm halfway through reading it.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: He thought all the pain would be over in less than this.
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: In fact, Trump promised it wouldn't be very long yet.
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: Well, I agree with you, Ted, because the markets are down, spirits are down, and your expenses are high.
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: I want to go back real quick and look at the markets and quote them up, see if anything's changed here since we uh started chatting here.
- 17:53SPEAKER_00: The stock markets went down a little bit more.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: SP's down 101, NASDAQ down 660, Dow down 400.
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: Let's move over to the grains.
- 18:05SPEAKER_00: Corn down four, beans down 15, and I want to talk metals real quick.
- 18:11SPEAKER_00: Gold is actually up, but gold is under$4,000 an ounce.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: Silver is down a little bit.
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: Silver$49.34.
- 18:19SPEAKER_00: Remember when silver was above$120?
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: That was pretty wild.
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: Just checking back with the Senate.
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: Looks like we have one more result.
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: Democrats 51, Republicans 39.
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: And I do wish my friend Jim was on here.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: Jim, I wanted Jim to join.
- 18:36SPEAKER_00: He said, I can't join.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: I got to write another story.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: But yeah, the the one statistic that's wild, the Kansas first Democratic Senator since the Great Depression.
- 18:49SPEAKER_00: Well, that was quite a few years ago.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: We're going at close to 100 years ago, and people are out there voting and talking.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: If you're out there and you're on the live stream, you got something to say, you want to say it, go ahead and post your thoughts and we'll see it.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: You know, it's been a while since I live streamed, but I can actually show you.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: I think I can show you Ted's comments.
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: It's been a real long time.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: There he is, the original Ted Talker.
- 19:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, thank you.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: If you post a comment and it's worth posting, I'll uh pop it up there.
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: Now don't be nasty because we don't need that shit on here, all right?
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: Use your use your manners.
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: But uh want to thank our sponsor, Diet Coke.
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: Of course, we got some zinnies too in the lip.
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: So with that, yeah, Ted, thanks for coming out there and getting out there and vote.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: Hey, Ted, real quick, help me, because you can type fast.
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: What were the big surprises or the big changes in Iowa?
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: I know we had, or Delaney, I know you're out there.
- 19:49SPEAKER_00: We had a hot race there for the governor.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: What I can go over here.
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: Governor's race.
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: Let me see how sharp I am if we have a governor decision for the state of Iowa.
- 20:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we do.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: Oh, look at that.
- 20:02SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: Never mind.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: Answered my own question.
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: Rob Sand beat Zach Lane, I think, at a at a pretty good rate.
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: 56.7 versus 43.3.
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: And there might have been a couple other hot seats.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there we go.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: Ted says uh sands won.
- 20:20SPEAKER_00: That is Iowa.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: Any other hot results out of Iowa when I think of American agriculture?
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: Of course, I think of all the great states, but the state of Iowa can produce a lot of corn and beans.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: And of course, that's where when elections start, we have the you know, where all the early campaign people go, and we do the grassroots campaigns and people meet at houses and you know they they start to figure out who's gonna make it.
- 20:45SPEAKER_00: You know, all the candidates go out there and not all of them make it, but you know, that's what they do.
- 20:51SPEAKER_00: Very interesting.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: All right, markets moving around, stocks down, commodities down.
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: What are your thoughts on this election?
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: Big blue wave.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: Let's go over it here.
- 21:00SPEAKER_00: We'll talk a little bit more and then we'll probably get the heck out of here.
- 21:03SPEAKER_00: But there's there's really not a lot to talk about.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: I mean, this isn't let's stand here for an hour or two and go live and go over all the results.
- 21:12SPEAKER_00: They've been coming out on the news.
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: I came in the office here at NASVIC, I put on four different TVs, and by nine o'clock, you could kind of feel it was almost over.
- 21:21SPEAKER_00: And the stock market sniffed that one out real quick, too.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: For all you out there watching and listening, just want to tell you about some of the premium content we do for you, cattle guys.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: We got some really cool stuff.
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: Every morning before the markets open, we do a conference call and we have a podcast called Before the Bell.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: That's a five-minute podcast with Mike Sands, MBS Research.
- 21:44SPEAKER_00: And then uh once a week, Mike and Jed Sidwell sit down and do a podcast called Fat Tuesday.
- 21:52SPEAKER_00: That's uh a long form podcast on cattle and ranching and everything else.
- 21:58SPEAKER_00: Uh, real quick before we continue, I do want to tell you every afternoon, Davis Michelson does a show called Ag Squawk, and he's looking for guests.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: We do 200.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: Shows a year.
- 22:10SPEAKER_00: We have Ag Squawk AM, Ag Squawk PM.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: But Davis is looking for interesting people to come on the show and talk because Davis Michelson is currently booking future guests for his show, AgSquawk, www.agbill 1800-737 Farm.
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: But we'll take anybody.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: I gotta tell you, we had a kid on the other day.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: He was he got a hold of me from a friend of a friend, and he said, I'm a student at Indiana University Kelly program, and I built software that helps farmers.
- 22:42SPEAKER_00: And that was a good little show.
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: He's a student and he must have got on his Claude or chat account, and he built some really neat software.
- 22:51SPEAKER_00: So if you didn't catch that, go back to last week, look at YouTube, and I haven't met this young man, but I had another young man call me from another university and he said, I built a piece of software.
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: Folks, what's going on with this chat stuff?
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: And AI is fascinating.
- 23:08SPEAKER_00: We use it for all types types of graphics and videos and you know the the things that just came out, like the stuff Jim's doing right now.
- 23:18SPEAKER_00: Those videos as fast as they're coming out.
- 23:20SPEAKER_00: We're making thumbnails and doing other stuff.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: And you know, the the the world's moving at the speed of light here.
- 23:26SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah, here we go.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: Oh well, all right.
- 23:31SPEAKER_00: I got I got you, buddy.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: My brother Luke.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: Luke, big question for Tommy Gene, when are the markets going to stop sucking so hard?
- 23:38SPEAKER_00: Will it be when fuel and transportation's prices go down?
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: Well, I can tell you that every day I walk into the office, it feels like the markets are cheap.
- 23:49SPEAKER_00: But I'm also old enough to know that they can get cheaper.
- 23:53SPEAKER_00: Gold feels cheap, silver feels cheap, corn feels cheap, beans feel cheap, wheat feels cheap.
- 23:58SPEAKER_00: But let's talk about how we got there.
- 24:01SPEAKER_00: Coming into the year, the funds were a little short.
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: They started to cover and the funds went to a major, major long.
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: And we sat there for a good month with 525 corn.
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: Things felt good.
- 24:12SPEAKER_00: 520 in the front month after the pro farmer results, and they came in with that like 92 point something yield, call it 93 for easy math.
- 24:21SPEAKER_00: And now you got Stonex saying, no, it it's not it's it's not not 92, 172, it's 182.
- 24:32SPEAKER_00: Sorry, I had my digits off, but you get my point.
- 24:34SPEAKER_00: So big, big discrepancy from what got the markets there.
- 24:38SPEAKER_00: What got the markets there?
- 24:39SPEAKER_00: The funds.
- 24:39SPEAKER_00: Now the funds have since gotten out of their longs, and I would imagine the funds are completely out of corn.
- 24:47SPEAKER_00: Uh, one interesting thing to tell you about the funds, they're going to start posting the CFTC data.
- 24:55SPEAKER_00: So when we find out on a Friday what the fund position is, that's as of Tuesday, which is come on, folks, it's 2026, 2027.
- 25:02SPEAKER_00: We should be able to get information out faster.
- 25:07SPEAKER_00: On a funny, maybe not so funny note, President Trump just posted on True Social a red hat that says veto.
- 25:15SPEAKER_00: So we can see what's going to happen here.
- 25:18SPEAKER_00: President Trump's going to veto a lot of things.
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: I would say the word impeachment's going to come up a lot and let the shenanigans begin.
- 25:26SPEAKER_00: But back to the funds.
- 25:27SPEAKER_00: The funds got the markets up and the funds are out.
- 25:30SPEAKER_00: Here's the problem.
- 25:30SPEAKER_00: This one's a big problem.
- 25:32SPEAKER_00: Funds still have some good length in soybeans, and they still have some good length in soybean meal.
- 25:37SPEAKER_00: They are actually net short wheat and they are probably now neutral corn.
- 25:42SPEAKER_00: But on a positive note, the government is going to start uh releasing the information quicker.
- 25:48SPEAKER_00: Just since we talked, the SP just popped from down 102 to down 84, and NASDAQ went from down 660 to down 500.
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: You're all going to think I'm crazy, and that's fine.
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: But anyone who's known me long enough knows that I have a little bit of experience watching markets.
- 26:07SPEAKER_00: Am I good at it?
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: Am I bad at it?
- 26:09SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 26:10SPEAKER_00: But I have spent an incredible amount of time watching markets and trading markets, whether it be as a floor trader or a broker or anything else.
- 26:18SPEAKER_00: And where we are tonight, I have a feeling isn't where we're going to close.
- 26:22SPEAKER_00: To give you some history or a little bit of look back, historically, the stock market, whether Democrats win or Republicans win, over the next few months and into the end of the year, so the end of Q4 and the beginning of Q1 tend to rise regardless who wins or loses midterms.
- 26:44SPEAKER_00: I just want to look here at my sheet before I bring it back in.
- 26:54SPEAKER_00: I would imagine for all practical practical purposes, you know, tonight's pretty much over.
- 27:03SPEAKER_00: As they say, everything's over but the crying, right?
- 27:07SPEAKER_00: What other questions do you have?
- 27:09SPEAKER_00: I know if you're a farmer or rancher, you've got to be concerned.
- 27:11SPEAKER_00: Let's talk cattle real quick here.
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: I'm going to take one ear thing off.
- 27:14SPEAKER_00: I want to hear what trade the news is saying, but the cattle markets have had a bad day.
- 27:21SPEAKER_00: Last Friday, the cattle got wrecked.
- 27:23SPEAKER_00: On Monday, cattle opened up, trade higher, closed lower.
- 27:27SPEAKER_00: Today, Tuesday, cattle traded both sides, but then closed towards the low.
- 27:31SPEAKER_00: So the cattle markets starting to give it up.
- 27:33SPEAKER_00: What's the big headwind?
- 27:35SPEAKER_00: It's got to be fuel prices.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: There's no doubt in my mind, fuel prices are on everyone's mind.
- 27:41SPEAKER_00: Whether you're a mom filling up a car, have you bought an airline ticket lately?
- 27:46SPEAKER_00: Those have gone up, travel during the holidays are going to be very expensive.
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: Whether it be to buy an airline ticket, rent a car.
- 27:53SPEAKER_00: One thing that has come down in prices is Airbnbs.
- 27:57SPEAKER_00: We're definitely seeing some softness in the housing market.
- 28:01SPEAKER_00: And the reason we're seeing softness in the housing market would be because interest rates have stayed elevated for a longer time.
- 28:11SPEAKER_00: So let's think about what President Trump or this administration told people that the war was just temporary and the fuel prices would come down.
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: Currently, tonight, fuel prices are, I think I'm going to guess about$94,$95 for a crude oil straight$95.12.
- 28:28SPEAKER_00: That isn't exactly coming down.
- 28:31SPEAKER_00: If you remember during COVID, we had crude oil prices went down to$15 barrel.
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: So$95 crude isn't affordable.
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: That creates inflation, that creates higher cost for everybody and everything going around.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: Shoot me a couple more questions before we get out of here.
- 28:47SPEAKER_00: Oh, Davis, that's awesome.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: You know what you get?
- 28:51SPEAKER_00: Davis Michelson just texted me.
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: He said, You're doing awesome.
- 28:54SPEAKER_00: Davis Michelson, the host of AgSquack, and I truly, from the bottom of my heart, now a friend, he's just been amazing.
- 29:01SPEAKER_00: So Davis gets a shout out.
- 29:03unknown: Come on.
- 29:05SPEAKER_00: All right, Davis, you got to tell me what all these buttons do here on this thing.
- 29:09SPEAKER_00: But yeah, that's it.
- 29:11SPEAKER_00: Emotional, it depends, right?
- 29:13SPEAKER_00: I mean, this is what America is.
- 29:15SPEAKER_00: We we the people vote people to get in here.
- 29:19SPEAKER_00: We the people, why we don't vote to get people in here, they just kind of get there.
- 29:24SPEAKER_00: But what's everyone pissed off about, it's this it's fuel prices.
- 29:29SPEAKER_00: Fuel has hurt us so bad, and higher interest rates have hurt people.
- 29:35SPEAKER_00: Someone like myself, I'll just tell you personally.
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: I own a home in Valparaiso, Indiana.
- 29:40SPEAKER_00: I think in the next year or two, Gina and I are gonna sell it.
- 29:44SPEAKER_00: And we just we just we rent an apartment in downtown Nashville.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: We just changed our lease to a bigger apartment.
- 29:51SPEAKER_00: I'm 54 years old and I have no intention of buying real estate down here yet.
- 29:55SPEAKER_00: Interest rates are high.
- 29:57SPEAKER_00: Believe it or not, the economics make more sense to rent.
- 30:01SPEAKER_00: Who would have thought?
- 30:02SPEAKER_00: Like, isn't that the American dream?
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: Go buy a nice condo, go buy a nice house, have a few kids, get a dog.
- 30:07SPEAKER_00: But it's just easier for me right now to write a check and and I don't have to fix a leaky roof.
- 30:13SPEAKER_00: I don't have to worry about when the storms come through and the trees fall on everything, I don't need a backup generator.
- 30:18SPEAKER_00: So I don't know.
- 30:20SPEAKER_00: I it it's just you know, things change, things are different.
- 30:23SPEAKER_00: Now, the challenge is, and I know because I could hear you guys kind of like virtually bitching, in agriculture, you don't get to pick what state you live in.
- 30:34SPEAKER_00: So if you're in if you're in the state of Illinois and you have some of the nicest farm ground down there in uh McLean County, Illinois, you don't get to deal with you know the politics of Chicago.
- 30:49SPEAKER_00: Uh before all the votes were even uh counted up, they said uh you know the election results for Illinois.
- 30:56SPEAKER_00: Just an interesting point on the markets and why I think they could move so much.
- 31:00SPEAKER_00: You probably noticed a little bit ago, oh, you seem distracted, you're nervous.
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: Um I have some positions on, and gold just popped$20, silver just popped 50 cents, the SP is only down 70.
- 31:12SPEAKER_00: I wouldn't be surprised at all, folks, if tomorrow looks a lot different than today.
- 31:17SPEAKER_00: I know one thing, I wasn't comfortable being long corn when it was 540, and I'm not comfortable being short corn at 440.
- 31:25SPEAKER_00: That's a speculator.
- 31:26SPEAKER_00: Now, you all you you you don't necessarily get to pick and choose.
- 31:30SPEAKER_00: You're like always long, right?
- 31:31SPEAKER_00: So farmers are always long.
- 31:33SPEAKER_00: Going back to what I was talking about, where your land is and what state.
- 31:36SPEAKER_00: I mean, if you're an Illinois farmer, you don't get to pick up your thousand acres and move it to a red state.
- 31:42SPEAKER_00: And I gotta tell you something, there's not as many red states as there was 12 hours ago.
- 31:48SPEAKER_00: So America definitely flipped blue not only on the on the side of the House, but the Senate and the governors.
- 31:57SPEAKER_00: This is a big blue wave.
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: See here what we have for a question or a comment here.
- 32:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, I can't repeat that one.
- 32:07SPEAKER_00: But yes, you're right, Ted.
- 32:09SPEAKER_00: Davis does like all that.
- 32:10SPEAKER_00: All right, markets are moving.
- 32:12SPEAKER_00: We have choices.
- 32:14SPEAKER_00: I think it's a really if you going back to Luke's question, what's it gonna take for these markets to go back up?
- 32:21SPEAKER_00: It's gonna take a weather problem in South America, but maybe this will piss you off, but it's true.
- 32:28SPEAKER_00: Lower prices create demand.
- 32:30SPEAKER_00: And our grain now in America is cheaper than imagine you're a foreign country and you can't produce grain like we can here.
- 32:39SPEAKER_00: You can come over to America and buy it cheaper than you could produce it.
- 32:43SPEAKER_00: Of course, you have to put it on a boat, and we have to put it on a truck, to a train, to a boat, and there's some great cost in that, but the world doesn't run real well on six-dollar corn, and farmers don't do real well with four-dollar corn.
- 32:57SPEAKER_00: That sweet spot's about five dollars.
- 33:00SPEAKER_00: And anytime corn gets above five, five twenty-five, five fifty, we have to think about selling.
- 33:07SPEAKER_00: But something happens every summer, every summer, whenever you think you're having a production risk, you don't want to get too forward sold because you think you're not growing it.
- 33:17SPEAKER_00: And all those meetings you went to, all those agronomy meetings and all that stuff you went to all year.
- 33:23SPEAKER_00: I mean, we could put a marketing meeting on, no one will show up.
- 33:26SPEAKER_00: So it's easier for me to go on a live stream and pop in your living room, or I think Ted said he's maybe in his restroom.
- 33:32SPEAKER_00: I'm not so sure.
- 33:33SPEAKER_00: But wherever you're watching us from or enjoying it, please retweet the show, like, subscribe, all that other stuff.
- 33:40SPEAKER_00: But the world doesn't run well at$6 corn.
- 33:45SPEAKER_00: It doesn't run well at four.
- 33:46SPEAKER_00: And when corn gets above five, it needs to be sold.
- 33:49SPEAKER_00: But when it's summer, it's really scary to sell something.
- 33:54SPEAKER_00: And it actually happened.
- 33:55SPEAKER_00: I saw it happen this year in North Dakota.
- 33:57SPEAKER_00: So let's talk about North Dakota.
- 33:58SPEAKER_00: I spend a lot of time up there in the particular county where I have a podcast studio at First State Bank in Mayville, North Dakota.
- 34:08SPEAKER_00: Farmers will get 15, 20 bushels to the acre sold in soybeans.
- 34:13SPEAKER_00: I have clients who had some fields go 18 bushel soybeans.
- 34:16SPEAKER_00: I had clients who grew 200 bushel corn on ground in Trail County, North Dakota last year who had 55 bushel corn.
- 34:24SPEAKER_00: So why would a farmer be scared to get Ford sold in a market that's going up?
- 34:28SPEAKER_00: Because we've seen$5 corn turn into six to seven to eight.
- 34:32SPEAKER_00: We've seen that during the Ukraine war.
- 34:34SPEAKER_00: We've seen it in other weather production problems.
- 34:36SPEAKER_00: We've seen us have big crops in America and then South America has a problem.
- 34:40SPEAKER_00: That's a lot easier to trade when you have a big crop and they don't.
- 34:45SPEAKER_00: That that one's not as tricky to trade.
- 34:47SPEAKER_00: Just looking over at these election results haven't changed much.
- 34:50SPEAKER_00: But nonetheless, there's production risk.
- 34:53SPEAKER_00: So what do we do here?
- 34:54SPEAKER_00: When markets are going up, we're asking people to sell and protect.
- 34:57SPEAKER_00: We're asking people to sell cash grain by a call.
- 34:59SPEAKER_00: Client called me the other day.
- 35:01SPEAKER_00: He said, How do you feel about all those calls you bought?
- 35:04SPEAKER_00: I said, Not bad at all.
- 35:05SPEAKER_00: If a client sold 525, 530 corn, spent 12 cents on a call, just do the math.
- 35:12SPEAKER_00: You sold 530, you spent 12, you got 518 left.
- 35:17SPEAKER_00: That's a hell of a lot better than these 438 prices we're looking at tonight.
- 35:21SPEAKER_00: So I'll take a 12 cent loss call on a call, 15 cents, whatever you spent for premium.
- 35:26SPEAKER_00: Having the loss on the options, not nearly as bad as not having the bushels sold.
- 35:30SPEAKER_00: Markets have had a big turnaround just while we're sitting here chatting.
- 35:34SPEAKER_00: Some things are happening.
- 35:35SPEAKER_00: Currencies across the world right now are going up.
- 35:38SPEAKER_00: I know a lot of you don't know about currencies, but it's really important.
- 35:41SPEAKER_00: You you know about the dollar, but you don't know all the things that make up the dollar.
- 35:45SPEAKER_00: I have my currency board up here.
- 35:47SPEAKER_00: The euro's up, the Australian dollar's up, the Japanese yen's up, the Canadian dollar's up, the British pounds up, the Swiss is up, the Brazilian real's up a little bit.
- 35:55SPEAKER_00: When those are up, the dollar's weak.
- 35:57SPEAKER_00: When the dollar's weak, that actually helps our uh exports here.
- 36:01SPEAKER_00: Crude oil's down 70 cents, and uh gold's up$25.
- 36:05SPEAKER_00: Silver's now up 13.
- 36:06SPEAKER_00: Silver was down$1.20 just a little bit ago.
- 36:09SPEAKER_00: Interest rates, bonds are up.
- 36:11SPEAKER_00: When I say bonds are up, yields are down.
- 36:13SPEAKER_00: 10 years probably trading around$4.98 right now.
- 36:16SPEAKER_00: That's going to help with the housing market.
- 36:19SPEAKER_00: And corn's only down three and a half only, right?
- 36:23SPEAKER_00: Someone should slap me.
- 36:24SPEAKER_00: But uh soybeans are down 14.
- 36:27SPEAKER_00: S P 500 is only down 67.
- 36:30SPEAKER_00: When we started the show, it was down 90, then it went down 106.
- 36:33SPEAKER_00: NASDAQ down 400.
- 36:35SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 36:35SPEAKER_00: Is there any chance stock market could be up tomorrow?
- 36:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there's there's a really good chance because we do have something here, free markets, and we do get to trade, and that's what makes it interesting.
- 36:46SPEAKER_00: One interesting thing that's really hit the free markets lately, and talk of markets, there's this new thing called perpetual futures.
- 36:54SPEAKER_00: Of course, I have to Google perpetual, I know what it means, but they're gonna start trading contracts that don't expire.
- 37:01SPEAKER_00: That's wild.
- 37:02SPEAKER_00: We have sports betting now.
- 37:04SPEAKER_00: I went and visited my daughter Gabby at University of Kentucky.
- 37:08SPEAKER_00: My wife and I, I were out late.
- 37:11SPEAKER_00: It was at a time when the gold and silver were going crazy.
- 37:16SPEAKER_00: As with a friend of mine from the pits, his daughter also goes to University of Kentucky.
- 37:21SPEAKER_00: And I thought all these kids would want to talk about markets, and they kind of do.
- 37:25SPEAKER_00: But guess what?
- 37:27SPEAKER_00: Every boy had at that bar and was acting like a big shot.
- 37:32SPEAKER_00: Every single, not every, that's a little exaggeration.
- 37:34SPEAKER_00: I'd say most kids at the bar had a sports betting app.
- 37:37SPEAKER_00: These kids don't give a shit about markets.
- 37:39SPEAKER_00: They they care about LeBron and they care about you know, University of Kentucky being number one in the SEC.
- 37:46SPEAKER_00: They don't know about gold, silver, corn, beans, wheat.
- 37:49SPEAKER_00: These kids always ask, what do you do for a living?
- 37:51SPEAKER_00: I trade corn, and they they they don't get it, right?
- 37:55SPEAKER_00: They must not teach this stuff in classes.
- 37:57SPEAKER_00: But what I did find interesting was as they go from being 20, 21, 22, and they someday get a job, like our older daughter, that she's actually starting to ask questions about investments.
- 38:08SPEAKER_00: Should I buy SpaceX?
- 38:09SPEAKER_00: Should I buy that?
- 38:10SPEAKER_00: Obviously, there's a big difference between stocks, bonds, investing, speculating, but you have a lot of choices out there.
- 38:18SPEAKER_00: But I did find that interesting that all the kids have a sports betting app, and a few kids had a Robin Hood app, and they were kind of pumped about that.
- 38:27SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm having fun doing this.
- 38:29SPEAKER_00: I didn't know how long I'd go.
- 38:30SPEAKER_00: We're going 40 minutes, and I think I'm just warming up.
- 38:33SPEAKER_00: But hey, if you're out there, let me check out the X crowd real quick, see who's following us on X tonight.
- 38:39SPEAKER_00: And uh pretty wild, I can just click my phone and look down.
- 38:42SPEAKER_00: We have 184 people watching on X and a few on YouTube, about 30 people watching on YouTube and a few on Facebook.
- 38:55SPEAKER_00: Any questions, comments?
- 38:56SPEAKER_00: Luke, I like that question.
- 38:57SPEAKER_00: When are the markets gonna bounce?
- 38:58SPEAKER_00: Well, historically, if you look at a chart, they're they're affordable, they're on sale, right?
- 39:04SPEAKER_00: For other countries.
- 39:05SPEAKER_00: But if you're caught long grain, they're not on sale.
- 39:07SPEAKER_00: You're just caught long grain.
- 39:08SPEAKER_00: So you got to understand uh where you are, who you are, stay in your lane.
- 39:12SPEAKER_00: Y'all need the cash flow.
- 39:14SPEAKER_00: I tell you what, renewing operating seasons coming around.
- 39:17SPEAKER_00: And I have five or six clients who are actually ag lenders, and they are not happy or excited to go through renewing season this year.
- 39:26SPEAKER_00: It's not gonna be much fun again.
- 39:28SPEAKER_00: Let's talk about government bailouts, right?
- 39:30SPEAKER_00: Trump tried to say this thing: if if we had uh the Republicans win, we would everyone get$5,000.
- 39:37SPEAKER_00: Well, that's not gonna happen.
- 39:39SPEAKER_00: Secretary of Ag Rollins been flying all over the country telling everyone about this$8 billion for gas.
- 39:45SPEAKER_00: $8 billion is a big number, but when you distribute it amongst everyone, it comes down to thousands of dollars each.
- 39:53SPEAKER_00: Your costs have exploded, and and and then you take the price that you grow a couple hundred thousand bushels of corn.
- 39:58SPEAKER_00: Maybe you're half sold and you're still holding the other half, but a hundred thousand bushels of corn that just lost a dollar.
- 40:04SPEAKER_00: You know, keep the make keep the check.
- 40:06SPEAKER_00: I did a segment with Scott, the cow guy, yesterday.
- 40:08SPEAKER_00: Farmers don't want funding, and farmers are getting, and this is where I'd like Ted to pop in if he's still out there.
- 40:16SPEAKER_00: I was watching a channel when I went home.
- 40:19SPEAKER_00: I told you at the office I had four channels on, but I had CNN on, Fox, I had them all on.
- 40:25SPEAKER_00: I'm telling you what, the CNN guy said, oh yeah, the farmers, they're getting bailouts and bailouts, and Trump bought the farmer vote.
- 40:32SPEAKER_00: And apparently not, because it doesn't look like that tonight.
- 40:35SPEAKER_00: I think farmers are some of the smartest, most intelligent people out there.
- 40:39SPEAKER_00: And I don't think you're gonna woo-m or wow them with a little check here.
- 40:43SPEAKER_00: But that's all.
- 40:44SPEAKER_00: Go over the results one more time.
- 40:46SPEAKER_00: The markets are popping back.
- 40:47SPEAKER_00: That's pretty cool.
- 40:48SPEAKER_00: I'm excited to go back to my trading desk work.
- 40:52SPEAKER_00: If you know me personally, you can shoot me a text after this.
- 40:56SPEAKER_00: Of course, you can always call.
- 40:57SPEAKER_00: If you're out there and you're out in La La Land, this number rings to our desk 1855-737-Farm.
- 41:04SPEAKER_00: That is 3276.
- 41:05SPEAKER_00: For you who don't know how to hit on your keypad and spell farm on your keypad.
- 41:10SPEAKER_00: I have to think about it sometime.
- 41:11SPEAKER_00: But that number rings to Joe Grasafi, Tom Grasafi, Jed, Justin, Lindsay, Clayton, we all get that here.
- 41:18SPEAKER_00: And then, of course, I can't help but be uh selfish and promote what Jim and I are doing again.
- 41:23SPEAKER_00: Agble Intel,$25 a month,$250 a year.
- 41:26SPEAKER_00: Jim,$199 introductory offer.
- 41:30SPEAKER_00: If you go to the webpage and go, I'll pop that up real quick.
- 41:35SPEAKER_00: But if you go to Jim's webpage and you go subscribe, we have a coupon out there right now, and I just want to pop that up for you just so you could all see that real quick.
- 41:47SPEAKER_00: But uh, Jim issued a coupon, and you know that that's out there.
- 41:55SPEAKER_00: And uh with that, this is how you go.
- 41:56SPEAKER_00: You go to the AgBo website and you go to Weismeyer's Perspectives, and then Jim said coupon, you go to subscribe, and that coupon's right up top here, right there.
- 42:08SPEAKER_00: Use coupon intro 2026 intro to get your year for 199 with Mr.
- 42:14SPEAKER_00: Jim.
- 42:15SPEAKER_00: Well, speaking of Jim, he's texting me right now, asking me if I'm here, and saying yes, Jim, here.
- 42:23SPEAKER_00: And he said part two is coming out on the email.
- 42:28SPEAKER_00: Go to weesmeyer.com and you'll see part one, part two.
- 42:31SPEAKER_00: You got to be a subscriber.
- 42:32SPEAKER_00: But with that, I want to check questions, comments before we get out of here and tell you that I do love working with farmers and I do appreciate y'all and ranchers and just the people I meet with my travels.
- 42:45SPEAKER_00: It's just fun.
- 42:46SPEAKER_00: Let's see here.
- 42:50SPEAKER_00: Ted, is it okay if I post that comment?
- 42:52SPEAKER_00: I think I can because you're pretty I Ted, uh, you wouldn't post it if you didn't want.
- 42:56SPEAKER_00: This is from Ted Talker getting very tired of these checks.
- 42:59SPEAKER_00: Our political capital is costing us.
- 43:02SPEAKER_00: It doesn't help the country.
- 43:03SPEAKER_00: That is the original Ted Talker.
- 43:06SPEAKER_00: I agree with you, brother.
- 43:08SPEAKER_00: Ted said I could post that comment.
- 43:09SPEAKER_00: Well, you're damn right I could.
- 43:11SPEAKER_00: Uh I'm gonna post the next one too.
- 43:13SPEAKER_00: Ted's on a roll.
- 43:14SPEAKER_00: All this coming from the washroom.
- 43:16SPEAKER_00: But also stop all the payments to everyone, especially all the fraud, which makes the farmer payments look like peanuts.
- 43:23SPEAKER_00: That it that could be the most true statement I've heard, Ted.
- 43:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there's a lot of checks going to a lot of people, and it's just not right.
- 43:32SPEAKER_00: So, folks wanted change, they got it.
- 43:35SPEAKER_00: Sometimes you can say keep the change, but we'll see.
- 43:38SPEAKER_00: Things are never as bad as they look when markets are down.
- 43:41SPEAKER_00: Things are never as good as they look when markets are up.
- 43:45SPEAKER_00: Whenever someone gets giddy or you have a position on or you're feeling good about corn being up, you might want to think about laying off some risk.
- 43:53SPEAKER_00: And that's the function of the markets is to lay the risk.
- 43:56SPEAKER_00: All right, I'm gonna get out of here because Jim's blown up my phone.
- 43:59SPEAKER_00: He's probably like, what in the heck are you doing?
- 44:02SPEAKER_00: But in all seriousness, folks, if you uh subscribe to AgBull Intel, I want to give you a free speaker.
- 44:08SPEAKER_00: You may have not won the election, but you are winning our hearts, the AgBull speaker.
- 44:15SPEAKER_00: 250 gets you uh two months free and a free speaker.
- 44:18SPEAKER_00: Speaker costs$25, cost us$15 to ship it.
- 44:21SPEAKER_00: So we're not making a lot of money on the service.
- 44:23SPEAKER_00: Before we get out of here, I want to tell you about all the good content we uh produce and give a shout out to the whole crew.
- 44:29SPEAKER_00: We have AgSquawk AM with Mr.
- 44:30SPEAKER_00: Jed Sidwell.
- 44:32SPEAKER_00: He's a young rising star.
- 44:33SPEAKER_00: Ag Squawk in the afternoons with Mr.
- 44:35SPEAKER_00: Davis Michelson.
- 44:37SPEAKER_00: Like, subscribe, tell a friend, telephone, tell whoever the hell you want.
- 44:41SPEAKER_00: YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and occasionally we live stream it on X.
- 44:47SPEAKER_00: Well, that's it for me, campers.
- 44:49SPEAKER_00: It's been a long time since I live streamed and it was a little rusty.
- 44:53SPEAKER_00: But with that, I'm grateful to be here.
- 44:55SPEAKER_00: I'm grateful to be an American.
- 44:57SPEAKER_00: Let's keep kicking ass in agriculture, and we'll catch you all next time.
