- 0:02Speaker 1: Thank you. Hi, and welcome back to Pinky Boo Hauntings.
- 0:28Speaker 1: I'll be your witchy host, Shy, and I'll be your
- 0:31Speaker 1: guide to all things paranormal, weird, and spooky. Well guys,
- 0:36Speaker 1: it's officially spooky month, and I thought we could kick
- 0:40Speaker 1: off October with some Ouija board stories. I've been wanting
- 0:45Speaker 1: to do a whole episode on Ouija boards, but I
- 0:49Speaker 1: wanted to wait. I figured it would be a great
- 0:52Speaker 1: thing for Halloween. After all, I'm sure there are going
- 0:56Speaker 1: to be a lot of you deciding to play with
- 0:59Speaker 1: them this month. But be warned, the veil becomes thin
- 1:03Speaker 1: just in time for Halloween, so be careful when playing.
- 1:08Speaker 1: And what better way to get you in the mood,
- 1:11Speaker 1: and maybe even stop you, before you pull a board
- 1:14Speaker 1: out to talk to some spirits. Our first story has
- 1:20Speaker 1: a crazy title, and I just knew I needed to
- 1:23Speaker 1: read it. This one is called, Real Ouija Board Experience
- 1:29Speaker 1: Brought 27 Spirits to My House. I wrote this article
- 1:35Speaker 1: last year when my university was asking for real experiences
- 1:39Speaker 1: or encounters with ghosts. It's long, but worth the read.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Trust me. I will never again touch a Ouija board.
- 1:49Speaker 1: This is all real. In 2017, five of my friends
- 1:56Speaker 1: and I moved into our new house to find we
- 1:59Speaker 1: weren't the only ones living there. We'd been looking forward
- 2:03Speaker 1: to moving in for almost a year. Second year meant
- 2:07Speaker 1: no more cafeteria food, dorms, or public bathrooms. Only six
- 2:12Speaker 1: friends living together. We quickly made the house our home
- 2:19Speaker 1: and hosting a few too many housewarming parties. We felt safe, happy,
- 2:25Speaker 1: and comfortable in our new place. So why not ruin
- 2:29Speaker 1: it by inviting some ghosts to live there as well?
- 2:32Speaker 1: I mean, I'd be fine with that, but I'm also
- 2:37Speaker 1: used to it. I'd assume you weren't. Shortly after settling in,
- 2:44Speaker 1: my housemates and I heard unexplainable noises throughout the house.
- 2:52Speaker 1: we'd hear the shower's sliding door move on its own.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Footsteps sound from upstairs, and the front door open and close. Oh,
- 3:04Speaker 1: never mind. It was already haunted. I just thought it
- 3:08Speaker 1: wasn't because of the title. We were suspicious of the sounds,
- 3:14Speaker 1: but quick to burst them off and continue with our lives.
- 3:18Speaker 1: That was... until the evening of October 25th. While all
- 3:25Speaker 1: six of us were sitting around the dinner table, a
- 3:28Speaker 1: pan on the stove began to rock back and forth
- 3:32Speaker 1: on its own. We tried to play it off as normal,
- 3:36Speaker 1: but nothing could explain the shaking. We decided we had enough.
- 3:42Speaker 1: We had to get to the bottom of these strange occurrences.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Ten minutes later, we lit candles and set up a
- 3:51Speaker 1: homemade Ouija board in the middle of our table. See,
- 3:56Speaker 1: what did I say? October is the time people seem
- 3:59Speaker 1: to play with Ouija boards the most. It's why I
- 4:03Speaker 1: wanted to do this theme in this month. It just
- 4:06Speaker 1: made sense to me. To use a Ouija board, each
- 4:10Speaker 1: player lightly placed one finger on the planchette. a wooden
- 4:15Speaker 1: triangle used for these ceremonies, and questions the room's spirits.
- 4:22Speaker 1: If one is contacted successfully, the planchette moves itself around
- 4:28Speaker 1: the board and spells out words or numbers to answer
- 4:32Speaker 1: the questions. Is there anyone here? we ask the board.
- 4:38Speaker 1: No response. We asked again, and again, but still, no response.
- 4:48Speaker 1: After a couple more tries, the planchette dragged itself to
- 4:52Speaker 1: the word, yes, written on a piece of paper. Once
- 4:58Speaker 1: we were sure there was someone there, we continued to
- 5:01Speaker 1: ask questions to find out who exactly we were talking to.
- 5:04Speaker 1: What's your name, we asked. Slowly, but surely. The planchette
- 5:12Speaker 1: moved to the letters A, D, and Y until it
- 5:19Speaker 1: spelled out Addysot. I'm not going to lie, I'm kind
- 5:23Speaker 1: of dyslexic, so I might be pronouncing that wrong, but
- 5:26Speaker 1: I looked it up and that's how it told me
- 5:28Speaker 1: to pronounce it, so please don't come for me. My
- 5:32Speaker 1: housemates and I continued to communicate with him for a
- 5:36Speaker 1: few minutes until we felt we were no longer speaking
- 5:40Speaker 1: to Addysot. We asked if there was another presence with us,
- 5:46Speaker 1: and it turned out there was. This time, the spirit's
- 5:51Speaker 1: name was Pam, a three-year-old good spirit, according to her. See,
- 5:57Speaker 1: I like Pam. I can pronounce Pam without having to
- 6:00Speaker 1: look it up. Realizing there was more than one spirit
- 6:05Speaker 1: with us, we asked the board how many there were
- 6:09Speaker 1: in our presence. The planchette slid to the number eight.
- 6:16Speaker 1: With news of our eight additional roommates in mind, we
- 6:20Speaker 1: decided that was enough for one night and stopped the game. Oh,
- 6:26Speaker 1: one thing I don't think people realize is that when
- 6:29Speaker 1: speaking to spirits, in any way, any spirit could come in.
- 6:35Speaker 1: They don't need to be from the area you are
- 6:38Speaker 1: in when speaking to them. So if they're saying there
- 6:42Speaker 1: are eight of them there, that could be true, but
- 6:46Speaker 1: that doesn't mean they're hanging around the house for good.
- 6:51Speaker 1: So don't get too freaked out by the number. It
- 6:55Speaker 1: might not be anything to worry about. After looking up
- 7:00Speaker 1: the standard conditions for using a Ouija board, my housemates
- 7:04Speaker 1: and I discovered we'd broke some rules with our first try.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Ouija boards are supposed to open the connection to the
- 7:13Speaker 1: spirit world, attracting and inviting spirits from all over. See,
- 7:20Speaker 1: what did I say? They might not even be from
- 7:23Speaker 1: that house. You might have just brought them into the
- 7:26Speaker 1: house when you were playing with the Ouija board. But
- 7:29Speaker 1: that doesn't also mean they'll stay. They shouldn't be played
- 7:34Speaker 1: at home. If you play where you live and connect
- 7:37Speaker 1: with a malevolent spirit, It can stay in your house.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Spirits can't be trusted. Okay, well, I don't know about
- 7:48Speaker 1: that last part, but yeah. You do need to be
- 7:51Speaker 1: careful when messing with the Ouija boards. But that can
- 7:55Speaker 1: be said about any communication device. A spirit can take
- 8:00Speaker 1: possession of players and gain access to their mind. The
- 8:04Speaker 1: next night, we decided to break out the Ouija board
- 8:08Speaker 1: and play again. This time, when we asked how many
- 8:11Speaker 1: spirits were with us, the answer was 27. I'm sorry,
- 8:18Speaker 1: you read that you shouldn't be doing this in your
- 8:20Speaker 1: house because it could be dangerous and decide to keep
- 8:23Speaker 1: doing it anyways? After asking who was with us a
- 8:29Speaker 1: few times, we compiled a list of names. Oh lord,
- 8:35Speaker 1: I'm going to butcher like half of these names. I'm
- 8:38Speaker 1: so sorry. And no, I'm not going to go look
- 8:41Speaker 1: them up this time. I'm too lazy. So, it is
- 8:44Speaker 1: what it is. Nudu. Sure. I don't think that's right. Bearda? Lukava? Matt?
- 8:57Speaker 1: We got an easy one. And Corey. Again, easy one.
- 9:00Speaker 1: To name a few. When asked whether or not they
- 9:03Speaker 1: had good intentions, Nudu... I can't say this name without laughing.
- 9:10Speaker 1: I'm going to call him New, because honestly, if I
- 9:12Speaker 1: keep saying Nudu, I'm just going to think of Dudu,
- 9:15Speaker 1: and I'm 12. New was one of the few that
- 9:21Speaker 1: replied no. Oh, look at that. Nudu is a Dudu head.
- 9:29Speaker 1: I officially have reverted back to four now. I'm so sorry.
- 9:32Speaker 1: I suggested asking New if he's taken possession of any
- 9:39Speaker 1: of us. He said, no, until it got to my housemate, Emily.
- 9:44Speaker 1: And the planchette quickly swiveled over to yes. We put
- 9:51Speaker 1: news answers to the test. By asking personal questions about Emily,
- 9:56Speaker 1: only she'd know. How many concussions has Emily had? had?
- 10:01Speaker 1: I asked. The planchette made its way over to the
- 10:04Speaker 1: number four. We looked over to Emily, who had a
- 10:08Speaker 1: look of horror on her face. New was right. While
- 10:14Speaker 1: New answered the rest of her questions correctly, we couldn't
- 10:17Speaker 1: rule out the fact Emily's hand was on the planchette.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Maybe she was purposely or subconsciously guiding it in a
- 10:24Speaker 1: certain direction. We told Emily to take her hand off
- 10:29Speaker 1: the board, but stay where she was. Then we asked,
- 10:34Speaker 1: what is Emily's brother's girlfriend's last name? None of us
- 10:39Speaker 1: knew the answer. The board replied. We looked over at Emily,
- 10:44Speaker 1: and she confirmed that it was the right name. We
- 10:48Speaker 1: were all in disbelief. I'm kinda happy you had her
- 10:54Speaker 1: take her hands off of it, just to see if
- 10:57Speaker 1: she was the one doing it or not. A few
- 11:01Speaker 1: of my housemates decided they were done playing and lifted
- 11:04Speaker 1: their fingers off the board. Without even asking a question,
- 11:11Speaker 1: the planchette moved over to the corner of the board.
- 11:15Speaker 1: With only three remaining fingers on the edge of the
- 11:18Speaker 1: shot glass planchette, We never could have made that happen
- 11:22Speaker 1: on our own. Although, that was the last time we
- 11:26Speaker 1: ever played Ouija. The story doesn't end there. The following
- 11:32Speaker 1: weeks were bad. My roommates and I were constantly uneasy
- 11:37Speaker 1: in the house. And got especially nervous at night. We
- 11:43Speaker 1: all felt as though we were being watched. We saw
- 11:47Speaker 1: dark shadows in the corners of our rooms and suffered
- 11:51Speaker 1: from horrible nightmares. Emily would often wake up in the
- 11:57Speaker 1: middle of the night screaming for help, convinced she saw
- 12:02Speaker 1: a figure in front of her. One night, while I
- 12:06Speaker 1: was laying in bed, I heard a noise coming from
- 12:09Speaker 1: my window, like someone running nails up and down my
- 12:12Speaker 1: wooden blinds. Ew, I hate that. You guys clearly should
- 12:18Speaker 1: have left that board alone. I just know you didn't
- 12:22Speaker 1: close it outright any of the times you mess with it.
- 12:26Speaker 1: After too many sleepless nights, we decided to hire a medium.
- 12:31Speaker 1: We showed the medium around our home and told her
- 12:34Speaker 1: what happened, although we didn't tell her where we felt
- 12:38Speaker 1: the dark spirit. she was able to identify the exact
- 12:43Speaker 1: spots we felt their presence the most. When the medium
- 12:47Speaker 1: described the characteristics of the spirit she sensed, it was
- 12:51Speaker 1: exactly the type of presence I'd felt. We all agreed
- 12:57Speaker 1: the spirit was an adult male in his late 20s
- 13:00Speaker 1: to early 30s. He was a bit of a loner.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Was this Adesat? She helped us remove the presence by
- 13:10Speaker 1: lighting sage and encouraging him to go towards the light.
- 13:16Speaker 1: We truly felt better afterwards. I no longer saw dark
- 13:21Speaker 1: shadows in the corner of my room and stopped feeling
- 13:24Speaker 1: like I was being watched at night. We thought the
- 13:28Speaker 1: spirit listened to us, complied with the medium's instructions, and left.
- 13:35Speaker 1: About a week later, When dropping off a payment for
- 13:39Speaker 1: the sessions, the medium told us something that stays with
- 13:43Speaker 1: me today. The spirit she'd help us get rid of
- 13:48Speaker 1: was now following her. Although this happened almost a year ago,
- 13:54Speaker 1: there's still rarely a day that goes by where I
- 13:59Speaker 1: don't think about these events in one way or another. Oh, wow.
- 14:06Speaker 1: So I assume the other spirits that came in just
- 14:09Speaker 1: decided to have a chat and left. And Addysot was
- 14:14Speaker 1: the one that was messing with you all. But I
- 14:16Speaker 1: can see why. This would scare you off from ever
- 14:20Speaker 1: using a Ouija board again. You guys were being stupid
- 14:23Speaker 1: when messing with it. And you seem to have broken
- 14:26Speaker 1: a lot of rules that are there to keep you safe.
- 14:31Speaker 1: You should probably be happy things didn't get worse. I'm
- 14:36Speaker 1: also not surprised it followed that medium. I'm sure she's
- 14:40Speaker 1: used to that kind of thing happening. Spirits like people
- 14:45Speaker 1: with abilities, after all. And sometimes they like to follow
- 14:50Speaker 1: us around after they realize we can see them. It
- 14:53Speaker 1: can be a little annoying. Alright, for our next story,
- 14:59Speaker 1: I found it in the comments of a post called
- 15:02Speaker 1: People Who Have Used a Ouija Board What's the scariest
- 15:06Speaker 1: response you've gotten? The first and only time I ever
- 15:13Speaker 1: used one, I was a teenager playing on it with
- 15:16Speaker 1: a friend on my back porch. I didn't know anyone
- 15:20Speaker 1: who had died, really. Except I remember from an old
- 15:25Speaker 1: photo on the wall, a great aunt named Neil. The
- 15:29Speaker 1: name Neil stuck with me because it was a boy's name.
- 15:35Speaker 1: don't have to know anyone to use a Ouija board.
- 15:38Speaker 1: As long as a spirit wants to come through, it
- 15:40Speaker 1: can be just about anyone, which is why it's best
- 15:44Speaker 1: to have good intentions when using one. So I try
- 15:48Speaker 1: to talk to my great-aunt Neil, but when I speak,
- 15:52Speaker 1: I say without hesitation or control, Aunt Connie. I thought,
- 15:59Speaker 1: that's weird. I don't have an Aunt Connie. I try again,
- 16:04Speaker 1: and say I'm trying to speak with and mentally saying
- 16:08Speaker 1: the word Neal, Aunt Connie. I bet Aunt Neal wanted
- 16:15Speaker 1: to be called Connie, or maybe it was her middle name.
- 16:21Speaker 1: It was an involuntary response. Very weird, but we moved
- 16:27Speaker 1: on and kept playing. When my mom got home from
- 16:33Speaker 1: running errands, she asked how her game was going. And
- 16:38Speaker 1: I replied, it's fine, except I keep trying to talk
- 16:41Speaker 1: to Great Aunt Neal, but keep saying Connie. Which is
- 16:46Speaker 1: so weird, because I don't have an Aunt Connie. I
- 16:51Speaker 1: still remember my mom's face in that moment. It turned out,
- 16:55Speaker 1: I did have an Aunt Connie. She was a baby
- 16:58Speaker 1: who died of SIDS disease before I was born. My
- 17:02Speaker 1: mom almost named me after her. Oh, never mind, it
- 17:07Speaker 1: wasn't Aunt Neal. It was a whole different aunt. I
- 17:11Speaker 1: guess she really wanted to come through and wanted you
- 17:14Speaker 1: to talk to her and not Neal. I went on
- 17:18Speaker 1: to have extremely paranormal experiences that continue to this day, actually.
- 17:24Speaker 1: I think it opened a door that I haven't been
- 17:28Speaker 1: able to close. Maybe, but probably not the way you think.
- 17:35Speaker 1: It might have opened your mind enough for your abilities
- 17:38Speaker 1: to awaken. I think we'll do one more story from
- 17:42Speaker 1: the same post. Remember, they tell you to never do
- 17:47Speaker 1: it alone. Well, I did, because it was the only
- 17:51Speaker 1: way I could be sure no one was moving the coin.
- 17:56Speaker 1: I did paper and coin instead of a proper board
- 17:59Speaker 1: and planchette. Is that one of the rules to using
- 18:03Speaker 1: a Ouija board? I've never played with one, and I
- 18:07Speaker 1: only know about some of the rules. But I didn't
- 18:11Speaker 1: know that was one. I mean, I can understand it,
- 18:15Speaker 1: but I also can understand why somebody would want to
- 18:17Speaker 1: do it alone. Like this person did. You can make
- 18:21Speaker 1: sure someone else isn't messing with you. But anyways, they
- 18:26Speaker 1: talked to someone male who died. I asked, why are
- 18:30Speaker 1: you still around? And it answered, car. What does that mean?
- 18:35Speaker 1: They're staying around for a car or something? Gave me
- 18:39Speaker 1: a plate number, a name of their wife, and a
- 18:42Speaker 1: local phone number. I started thinking, this is so mundane. Seriously?
- 18:48Speaker 1: I'm sorry, mundane? You? You're getting a plate number, their
- 18:54Speaker 1: wife's name, and a phone number? And you think all
- 18:57Speaker 1: of this is mundane? They're clearly trying to tell you
- 19:02Speaker 1: who they were or trying to get you to contact
- 19:05Speaker 1: their wife. This doesn't seem very mundane to me. What
- 19:10Speaker 1: did you want? A demon? Fucking mundane. And it gets
- 19:16Speaker 1: kind of forceful. I felt the coin actually pull a
- 19:20Speaker 1: little and get warm. Before this, I wasn't even sure
- 19:25Speaker 1: it wasn't me moving it. Asked where he was, it
- 19:30Speaker 1: spelled Infern and went to the no answer. Inferno. Inferno
- 19:36Speaker 1: is hell in Spanish. Well, maybe you will get a
- 19:41Speaker 1: demon encounter after all, since a ghost is clearly too
- 19:45Speaker 1: boring for you. That detail of using the no to
- 19:51Speaker 1: cut corners in the spelling, interesting. I started saying goodbye,
- 19:57Speaker 1: and it didn't answer. It simply stopped moving. It didn't
- 20:02Speaker 1: answer anything else I asked, so hopefully it left, but
- 20:07Speaker 1: I didn't like Not having that assurance. Kept the thing
- 20:11Speaker 1: for years in a random book. Don't know if burning
- 20:15Speaker 1: or throwing away was a good idea. I have heard
- 20:19Speaker 1: burning it isn't a good idea at all. How do
- 20:23Speaker 1: you get rid of a Ouija board? Can somebody tell
- 20:27Speaker 1: me just in case I decide to use one one
- 20:30Speaker 1: of these days? Of course, I called the number and
- 20:34Speaker 1: asked for the wife. I was told she wasn't there.
- 20:38Speaker 1: I asked, but does she live there? Of course, we
- 20:45Speaker 1: are notoriously paranoid as a country about giving info on
- 20:49Speaker 1: the phone. So I got the typical treatment. Who is this?
- 20:54Speaker 1: Why are you calling? I hung up. So I don't
- 21:00Speaker 1: know if any of it checked out. Never did it again.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Never had anything weird happen after. I think that was
- 21:10Speaker 1: her home phone. Because they said she wasn't there, and
- 21:14Speaker 1: then when you pushed it, they asked who you were. Usually,
- 21:18Speaker 1: if someone calls the wrong number, the person on the
- 21:21Speaker 1: other end doesn't answer like that. They would have just said, sorry,
- 21:25Speaker 1: you got the wrong number, or something like that. So,
- 21:29Speaker 1: while you thought it wasn't interesting at the time... I
- 21:33Speaker 1: think you were talking to someone. Maybe he died in
- 21:36Speaker 1: a car accident and just wanted to talk to his
- 21:39Speaker 1: wife one last time. Even if it was through someone else.
- 21:44Speaker 1: I get why you didn't, but I almost wish you
- 21:48Speaker 1: could have talked to her. It probably would have made
- 21:50Speaker 1: you rethink how you felt about the information you got
- 21:53Speaker 1: from the board. Because I really do think you contacted
- 21:58Speaker 1: a spirit. Alright guys, it's once again time to say
- 22:04Speaker 1: goodbye and end this week's meeting. I hope you enjoyed
- 22:09Speaker 1: and I hope this episode was a good way to
- 22:12Speaker 1: kick off the scariest time of the year. But remember,
- 22:16Speaker 1: if you decide to mess around with a Ouija board
- 22:18Speaker 1: this October, be careful. Make sure you look up the
- 22:24Speaker 1: rules before your hands ever touch that board. and hopefully
- 22:30Speaker 1: you won't have any problems with a spirit after. If
- 22:35Speaker 1: you do, though, why not send your story in? Or,
- 22:40Speaker 1: if you have any paranormal stories you'd like to share
- 22:43Speaker 1: with the Coven, please send them in to PinkyBooHauntings at gmail.
- 22:47Speaker 1: The email will also be in the show notes and
- 22:49Speaker 1: the description below. And don't forget to rate and review
- 22:55Speaker 1: the podcast or like and subscribe if you're on YouTube.
- 22:58Speaker 1: It helps us out so much. You can also help
- 23:02Speaker 1: us out by sharing our coven to everyone you know.
- 23:08Speaker 1: But for now, coven is adjourned. See you next time. Bye.
