- 0:24Speaker 2: On Altitude Sports Radio ninety two five.
- 0:29Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure Jeff Legot was listening to this exact
- 0:32Speaker 1: song of the way to the stadium today, this exact one.
- 0:35Speaker 3: You'd be stunned.
- 0:37Speaker 4: What do you listen to when you're in your car?
- 0:39Speaker 3: You'd be stunned.
- 0:40Speaker 5: Look, obviously our show, No jeez, come out and say it,
- 0:44Speaker 5: not even for a second.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Sometimes.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Okay, all right, so stuff, I'm gonna be on.
- 0:49Speaker 3: I want to be surprised.
- 0:50Speaker 4: Stun us. What what are you listening to?
- 0:51Speaker 3: Your own little internet shows are driving me crazy? Yeah,
- 0:54Speaker 3: I listened to my own little internet show.
- 0:56Speaker 4: No.
- 0:56Speaker 3: I mean, you know, I listen to what my kids listen.
- 0:58Speaker 4: To, so do I. Yeah, So like, uh, I.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Don't do any of that. If I show you, if
- 1:06Speaker 3: I show you my playlist, you I once one a
- 1:09Speaker 3: bet with uh. I was walking through the Titans locker
- 1:13Speaker 3: room one time and they were all busting my chops
- 1:15Speaker 3: for a variety of things, and they were like, who's
- 1:17Speaker 3: favorite rapper? You know, the typical old dude joke? And
- 1:22Speaker 3: I said Chuck d and they were like, you know,
- 1:26Speaker 3: they were yelling at me. I'm sorry, I almost so
- 1:32Speaker 3: I had to show him. I got all excited. I
- 1:37Speaker 3: got all excited now. Then then he was like, you
- 1:39Speaker 3: wanted to pay me? But I said I can't take
- 1:41Speaker 3: him all.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Yeah, Jeff Lagel at ESPN dot com.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Sorry almost cussed, but I cussed too much anyway. You
- 1:47Speaker 3: know this.
- 1:47Speaker 1: No, you had a good catch though. But Jeff, this
- 1:51Speaker 1: is sort of the question I've had when we first
- 1:53Speaker 1: got to camp, which.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Is why you put me on the air. I have
- 1:56Speaker 3: no idea.
- 1:57Speaker 1: No, I love talking to you, Jeff, Come on now.
- 2:00Speaker 1: It's that there isn't really a theme to the camp,
- 2:02Speaker 1: at least heading into it, which is weird. It's always
- 2:05Speaker 1: been like what's the quarterback battle? Look like how's the
- 2:07Speaker 1: first round? Yeah, so what is it to you? Like,
- 2:11Speaker 1: what is your main question of camp?
- 2:13Speaker 3: I don't have a question. My theme is the head
- 2:15Speaker 3: coach thinks this team's pretty good. Yeah, so that's your theme,
- 2:19Speaker 3: and that's gonna be the theme. And I think, you know,
- 2:22Speaker 3: the players better be ready for that. You could tell
- 2:24Speaker 3: us when a guy like him who thinks his team
- 2:27Speaker 3: is good, the screws will be tightened.
- 2:32Speaker 5: Oh yeah, what are they going to do or how
- 2:34Speaker 5: are they going to use Evan Ingram Because he's not
- 2:37Speaker 5: a conventional tight end.
- 2:38Speaker 3: He's not gonna he doesn't look like he can block
- 2:40Speaker 3: to me, you know, somebody, a GM from another team
- 2:43Speaker 3: asked me the other day and I said, I I
- 2:45Speaker 3: think he's essentially w R two. Yeah, this team, I agree,
- 2:49Speaker 3: you know, and I think he'll be all over the formation.
- 2:51Speaker 3: He blocks well enough, you can play him in line
- 2:54Speaker 3: and not be giving up your you know, not be
- 2:57Speaker 3: tipping your hand by you know, you're running these sets
- 3:01Speaker 3: of plays. Because he's in this in the slot you're
- 3:04Speaker 3: running these, they won't have that problem. He can play
- 3:08Speaker 3: the position well enough. But he's going to get a
- 3:10Speaker 3: lot of and we've seen it out here. That's a
- 3:13Speaker 3: spot on the field. They have not had impact in
- 3:16Speaker 3: the passing game for a pretty long time.
- 3:19Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm curious about that.
- 3:20Speaker 6: Jeff and and I'm not going to give away anything
- 3:22Speaker 6: so that they don't get reprimanded in the trouble. But
- 3:24Speaker 6: he's been where he's going to line up on any
- 3:26Speaker 6: given play is going to be different, I think, right,
- 3:28Speaker 6: So it's like a new toy for Sean Payton. I
- 3:31Speaker 6: guess my question is how much does the offense change
- 3:34Speaker 6: with that sort of weapon and that sort of new
- 3:36Speaker 6: toy all over the formation as opposed to what we've
- 3:40Speaker 6: seen the clunkiness of the tight end position the last
- 3:43Speaker 6: several years.
- 3:44Speaker 3: Well, I think it just enables Nicks to have a
- 3:48Speaker 3: bigger variety of where he can go. Because this year
- 3:51Speaker 3: for bow Nicks will be about what everyone is trying
- 3:54Speaker 3: to take away from you. Last year, everyone's just sort
- 3:57Speaker 3: of learning him what you like, what you don't like,
- 4:01Speaker 3: how far will you develop in your rookie season all
- 4:03Speaker 3: those things. This year will be far more what his
- 4:07Speaker 3: career will be moving forward, which is this week, we
- 4:11Speaker 3: are not going to let you do these four things.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Ingram and Sutton. They now now you can do things
- 4:19Speaker 3: with those guys to force defenses to have to respond.
- 4:23Speaker 3: I did not talk to one defensive coach last year
- 4:27Speaker 3: who believed they had to give up a lot of
- 4:30Speaker 3: resources to handle the Broncos tight end. They just didn't think,
- 4:35Speaker 3: you know, if you were yeah, they didn't have to
- 4:38Speaker 3: do anything special or even worry about it. I mean,
- 4:41Speaker 3: the stat I've told everyone is that their tight Lucas
- 4:45Speaker 3: Crowle leads to the tight ends last year with nineteen catches.
- 4:48Speaker 3: There were sixteen teams that had two tight ends with
- 4:53Speaker 3: more catches than that. Crazy, and there was one with
- 4:55Speaker 3: three tight ends with more catches than that.
- 4:58Speaker 2: That.
- 4:59Speaker 3: You can't in today's NFL against nickel defenses across the board,
- 5:03Speaker 3: you cannot have that limited of production from the title.
- 5:06Speaker 3: That's the matchup you can win consistently. You know.
- 5:10Speaker 1: One of the things that I want to go back to,
- 5:12Speaker 1: because you said your theme is the head coach thinks
- 5:14Speaker 1: this team is pretty good, and I think that's that's obvious.
- 5:17Speaker 1: What I think is interesting, though, is I know they
- 5:20Speaker 1: improve the running back room. They went out and they
- 5:23Speaker 1: got Evan Ingram, but they invested all of their highest
- 5:28Speaker 1: end capital in both free agency and the draft in defense.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Do you think Sean Payton just kind of thinks to himself,
- 5:35Speaker 1: my scheme, in my mind, is good enough that I
- 5:38Speaker 1: can make this work with they don't need to go
- 5:40Speaker 1: out and get high priced guys.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Yeah and nah, I wouldn't say not yet high. I
- 5:44Speaker 3: mean they gave something. Ye's pretty good deal. I mean
- 5:47Speaker 3: they're gonna pay people what they think they need to
- 5:49Speaker 3: pay people. But an offensive coach, Mike Shanahan thought that way.
- 5:53Speaker 3: I mean offensive coaches think that way. But I also
- 5:57Speaker 3: think it showed a pretty good aware of Look, are
- 6:02Speaker 3: you gonna win the AFC West If your strategy is
- 6:06Speaker 3: our quarterback will be better than it ain't gonna happen.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Then the guy in Kansas City? You know, are you
- 6:12Speaker 3: consistently gonna be better in the two minute drill than
- 6:16Speaker 3: they are? So I think it showed a really good
- 6:20Speaker 3: awareness on their part to say, all right, you know
- 6:23Speaker 3: we'll win the twenty four to twenty game because the
- 6:27Speaker 3: defense gets a style and they should.
- 6:29Speaker 4: Have won last year in Kansas City playing that exact style.
- 6:31Speaker 3: And if they have this defense, who's to say? I mean,
- 6:34Speaker 3: green law changes everything. If they somehow keep him healthy
- 6:38Speaker 3: and they get good fortune.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Is it just me? Or does he just drip intensity
- 6:42Speaker 4: when he's out there?
- 6:43Speaker 3: Him the first snap of the run series yesterday, he
- 6:49Speaker 3: craters the guy the whole drill has changed for the
- 6:53Speaker 3: entire rest of the time. I was just gonna say
- 6:57Speaker 3: that they haven't had that kind of sizzle in the
- 7:00Speaker 3: middle as it were since al.
- 7:02Speaker 4: Back to the offense.
- 7:03Speaker 5: Quick question regarding do you think with Dobbins and Harvey
- 7:08Speaker 5: and what he sees now, do you think Peyton will
- 7:10Speaker 5: make more of a commitment to the run game And
- 7:12Speaker 5: how do you see that commitment unfold?
- 7:14Speaker 3: You know he wants to now, you know, when the
- 7:18Speaker 3: play sheets in his hand and the game's going. We
- 7:21Speaker 3: don't know that answer yet because he he kept saying
- 7:24Speaker 3: it last year and he wrote it down. He kept
- 7:26Speaker 3: drifting away even in the game. He wrote it down.
- 7:29Speaker 3: I think that's why he was so mad we all
- 7:30Speaker 3: saw it. It's because he I think they had like
- 7:34Speaker 3: six carries.
- 7:35Speaker 4: Wrote He wrote it pretty big.
- 7:36Speaker 6: Jeff, Yeah, I mean the Space Shuttle of the space
- 7:40Speaker 6: the Space station with the camera.
- 7:42Speaker 3: I told him that, you know, if if we can
- 7:44Speaker 3: see it from the International Space Station, it's a good
- 7:47Speaker 3: bet where we're gonna be able to. You know, they're
- 7:51Speaker 3: going to see it on TV, but I think they
- 7:53Speaker 3: want to. I think he thinks it needs to happen
- 7:56Speaker 3: because I think ultimately It's like, you know, Mike Shanahan,
- 8:01Speaker 3: there's probably no bigger believer in play action than Mike Shanahan.
- 8:04Speaker 3: But Sean understands with this quarterback. Play action is a
- 8:09Speaker 3: really really good RPOs. Yeah, those are, but they don't
- 8:13Speaker 3: work really. I mean, play action gets a reaction from
- 8:17Speaker 3: the defense even if you stink at running the ball,
- 8:19Speaker 3: But its real impact is if you can really run
- 8:22Speaker 3: the ball. And again, you know a lot of their
- 8:25Speaker 3: free agency bets are if a guy is healthy. Well,
- 8:29Speaker 3: if Dobbins is healthy, he changes Cherry offense a little bit.
- 8:33Speaker 6: We had an interesting discussion yesterday about the Broncos offense
- 8:37Speaker 6: and about Sean Payton and basically his confidence in his
- 8:41Speaker 6: playbook and his confidence in himself to call the right
- 8:43Speaker 6: place and that's what he wants. Run the play correct.
- 8:47Speaker 6: I mean, you run the play that I call and
- 8:48Speaker 6: run it effectively and it's going to work. And we
- 8:51Speaker 6: look around the offense, Jeffen, is there any player on
- 8:54Speaker 6: the Broncos offense who's the best at his position in
- 8:57Speaker 6: the AFC West?
- 8:58Speaker 4: I don't know. I mean I think, okay, quick quit.
- 9:03Speaker 6: Okay, so you're your Pro bowlguard, Okay, okay, But in
- 9:07Speaker 6: terms of skill position. You know, we were talking about
- 9:09Speaker 6: that and.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Portland's Scortland's at least in the discussion, he's probably He's
- 9:14Speaker 1: probably up there, But you can't make a definitive case
- 9:16Speaker 1: that this guy is the best.
- 9:18Speaker 6: So I guess my my question is do you believe
- 9:20Speaker 6: that too, that you know, you don't need all this
- 9:22Speaker 6: flashiness in all of this high end talent on the
- 9:26Speaker 6: offensive side at least supremigh end to make this thing
- 9:28Speaker 6: working and have the quarterback be able to run it
- 9:31Speaker 6: effectively and be very good.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean you need talent. I'm never gonna say
- 9:37Speaker 3: any coach and.
- 9:39Speaker 4: They have talent the don't get me wrong.
- 9:40Speaker 3: No, No, they're a talented team. I think I think
- 9:42Speaker 3: this is the most talented team we've seen potentially again
- 9:45Speaker 3: if everyone's healthy and all that. But there's the most
- 9:49Speaker 3: talent one to fifty three on this team that we've
- 9:51Speaker 3: seen in a long time. So, uh, you know, do
- 9:55Speaker 3: they have the all pro level of guy? You know,
- 9:59Speaker 3: maybe one or two spots. You know, I think I
- 10:03Speaker 3: think Cortland's underrated, you know, as a player, because he
- 10:06Speaker 3: does more than catch the ball, and he does things
- 10:09Speaker 3: maybe people don't care about. But it's important in the offense.
- 10:13Speaker 3: But you know, minors is probably their elite level talent.
- 10:16Speaker 3: And you know if a guard is your elite level talent,
- 10:19Speaker 3: is that you know confetti can in time? I don't
- 10:21Speaker 3: think so, but you know it's still you still got
- 10:24Speaker 3: to have good players. Yeah, nobody's going to coach their
- 10:27Speaker 3: way into the playoffs anymore. Maybe that happened when I
- 10:30Speaker 3: first started covering the league a little bit. But scouts, analytics,
- 10:35Speaker 3: scouting everything, the size of coaching staffs now, the ability
- 10:40Speaker 3: to evaluate the available video that you're not going to
- 10:43Speaker 3: coach mid level talent to high level wins.
- 10:47Speaker 6: But one little thing to Quinn Miners, how does a
- 10:49Speaker 6: guy from Wisconsin Whitewater come in and a couple three
- 10:52Speaker 6: years later he's he's a great draft pick? I mean
- 10:56Speaker 6: it was a great draft pick. Behind How does a
- 10:58Speaker 6: guy like that go to wisconsint of Whitewater of all places.
- 11:02Speaker 3: Well, linemen, you see it a lot every You know,
- 11:04Speaker 3: he was one of those guys at the Senior Bowl
- 11:07Speaker 3: from the smaller school who goes down and shows and
- 11:11Speaker 3: shows everybody. Hey, but maybe they weren't that big when
- 11:16Speaker 3: they were high school seniors. You know, some guys especially linemen.
- 11:19Speaker 3: You see in the draft process a lot.
- 11:22Speaker 6: Uh.
- 11:22Speaker 3: Most often the small school guys at the Senior Bowl
- 11:25Speaker 3: of the Shrine Game are offensive linemen because they had
- 11:29Speaker 3: the I grew, you know, four inches taller and I
- 11:33Speaker 3: got a lot bigger in a weight room. You know,
- 11:35Speaker 3: maybe they went to a rural school. You know, there's
- 11:38Speaker 3: just linemen that seems to happen to a lot.
- 11:40Speaker 5: I'm so excited about this defense, Jeff Flickweld, because they
- 11:43Speaker 5: have all the complimentary pieces.
- 11:45Speaker 4: Defensive line is as solid as it gets. They've got edge.
- 11:47Speaker 5: Rushers, the linebackers have approved now with green Law, the secondary,
- 11:51Speaker 5: you can't say enough about the secondary. I'm looking at
- 11:53Speaker 5: Jade Baron and the first thing that came to my
- 11:56Speaker 5: mind when I saw him out.
- 11:57Speaker 4: He is smaller than I thought. How would they you
- 12:00Speaker 4: him out there?
- 12:01Speaker 3: Well, I think initially it'll probably just be outside corner nickel.
- 12:06Speaker 3: But as the season goes on, I bet we see
- 12:09Speaker 3: him in a lot more things. He'll be in the dime.
- 12:12Speaker 3: He can play deep safety. You know. He maybe he
- 12:17Speaker 3: looks smaller, but he was one of the best tacklers
- 12:20Speaker 3: on the draft board. I had a couple people call
- 12:25Speaker 3: me before the draft just to ask me about them.
- 12:27Speaker 3: You know where you got him? What do you think?
- 12:29Speaker 3: And I told everybody at that time, even in March,
- 12:34Speaker 3: I said, in all the years of this is my
- 12:35Speaker 3: fortieth draft, all the years I've been doing this, I
- 12:38Speaker 3: couldn't remember another guy I didn't chart with a mistackle
- 12:42Speaker 3: and I did not really I did not have him
- 12:44Speaker 3: for one thing, mind you of anybody. No, he is
- 12:47Speaker 3: a modern player. This is a This is a modern safety, slash,
- 12:51Speaker 3: nickel corner.
- 12:52Speaker 4: I mean, so they didn't make those nose.
- 12:55Speaker 3: I was not evaluating this kind of player in nineteen
- 12:59Speaker 3: nine or even two thousand. This is this. He is
- 13:03Speaker 3: the where it's going in the secondary. You can't include
- 13:06Speaker 3: certain in the discussion because that they made one of him. Yeah,
- 13:10Speaker 3: you know forever, not since Rod Woodson have I seen
- 13:13Speaker 3: a guy with that combination.
- 13:15Speaker 1: I have a Brian Branch. He does a little bit
- 13:17Speaker 1: of that.
- 13:17Speaker 3: Does this is it's that's the position. Yeah, the star
- 13:20Speaker 3: A lot of college coordinators call it the Saban especially
- 13:24Speaker 3: call it the star position. Safety, corner, dime, linebacker, all
- 13:28Speaker 3: in one run a four four you know, tackle, do everything?
- 13:34Speaker 1: Uh, what do you think?
- 13:35Speaker 4: You know?
- 13:36Speaker 1: It's funny we were talking about how everybody's got to
- 13:38Speaker 1: like when you're dating. People have a type. Sean Payt
- 13:41Speaker 1: has a type for wide receiver, and everybody looks the same.
- 13:44Speaker 1: They're all six foot three, six four, same guy.
- 13:46Speaker 3: No, he's If you're going to be a smaller receiver
- 13:49Speaker 3: for Sean Payton, you better show him. Yeah, a lot
- 13:52Speaker 3: of tenacity and a lot of don't put the ball
- 13:56Speaker 3: on the ground and all those things.
- 13:58Speaker 1: That feels like a really crowded room. Though before they
- 14:00Speaker 1: added some of these undrafted guys and other people to camp.
- 14:03Speaker 3: I think that'll be the hardest spot for a surprise,
- 14:05Speaker 3: So that's what I've told people. I think Sherfield's probably
- 14:08Speaker 3: the last receiver who makes it because of special teams.
- 14:13Speaker 3: I think it'll be sick. But that you know, put
- 14:15Speaker 3: the running spot. That means probably four.
- 14:18Speaker 5: Yeah, somebody is going, yeah, have you seen you know?
- 14:23Speaker 3: I think and again, you know, coaches love to tell
- 14:27Speaker 3: me I'm wrong a lot, but uh, I'm hoping they
- 14:31Speaker 3: give him the look he deserves because I think that
- 14:33Speaker 3: is a good player. And Sean Payton always talks about
- 14:37Speaker 3: you don't want somebody else to find out you got
- 14:39Speaker 3: rid of a good player and I think there's a
- 14:42Speaker 3: lot of potential for that there with estimate. You know,
- 14:45Speaker 3: I think he was unlucky, you know, made a mistay
- 14:49Speaker 3: or whatever. Put the you know, he puts two fumbles
- 14:51Speaker 3: on the ground early, early. And if there's one thing
- 14:56Speaker 3: some people have a hard time forgetting, it's putting the
- 14:58Speaker 3: ball in the ground. And this coaching staff is you know,
- 15:02Speaker 3: they have a hard time forgiving that.
- 15:04Speaker 4: Hey, how are you with uh? With losing things?
- 15:07Speaker 3: Like I don't have a lot of things that That's
- 15:09Speaker 3: how I deal with it.
- 15:10Speaker 6: Okay, Like these classes, Jeff, these classes I've had, this
- 15:14Speaker 6: is a world record for me.
- 15:15Speaker 3: These are prescriptions a week and a half.
- 15:17Speaker 6: But you've had those shades for an awfully long those
- 15:23Speaker 6: because he's got the little V on the side.
- 15:26Speaker 3: I'm a man of consistent.
- 15:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:27Speaker 6: Hello, is that just the same pair you've lost? Other
- 15:30Speaker 6: ones are broken? Or is that this is I mean is.
- 15:32Speaker 3: That these are these are new for me, which means
- 15:35Speaker 3: they are only a few years old.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm the same way. I don't get well, I
- 15:40Speaker 1: lost my shades, you know, those shades that we got
- 15:41Speaker 1: to the golf.
- 15:42Speaker 6: You know what, I got a pair I'll give you.
- 15:44Speaker 6: I'll give you my pair I got. I got the
- 15:45Speaker 6: same ones I found them.
- 15:47Speaker 4: Please, I'll bring them. I need some.
- 15:49Speaker 1: You got it, Jeff. Last couple of questions for you.
- 15:52Speaker 4: I have some old shoes if you want them.
- 15:54Speaker 3: Wow, No, that's okay. You're a shoe guy.
- 15:57Speaker 4: I got a key. It's a key.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Last couple of things.
- 16:00Speaker 3: About donut holes going around the video.
- 16:05Speaker 4: It's how Quinn Miners got so big.
- 16:08Speaker 1: You shoul transfer to Scotts and Whitewater. What about around
- 16:14Speaker 1: the league? You know, it's funny we look at the
- 16:17Speaker 1: offensive skill position talent and we say, okay, there's not
- 16:20Speaker 1: like names that really pop. It doesn't feel like the
- 16:24Speaker 1: AFC West has a lot of those in general, Like
- 16:26Speaker 1: there's some guys that you think, Okay, brock Bowers is
- 16:29Speaker 1: a really good tied end and obviously Travis Kelcey. But
- 16:31Speaker 1: if I'm just looking wide receiver running back, who do
- 16:35Speaker 1: you think are the elites in this division?
- 16:39Speaker 3: That's a good question.
- 16:40Speaker 4: Gent What about Hampton?
- 16:43Speaker 3: I mean, what's his story. I did not have him
- 16:46Speaker 3: rated as highly as where they took him, but he
- 16:48Speaker 3: was the big back in this draft. He was the
- 16:51Speaker 3: guy that you know Hardball was going to Harball was
- 16:54Speaker 3: going to like that back.
- 16:56Speaker 1: But really doesn't seem like there's too many.
- 16:58Speaker 3: I'll give you a good clue to that him. And
- 17:00Speaker 3: how often did people say, oh, the Patriots don't have
- 17:02Speaker 3: elite wide receipt who's throwing the ball? Yeah, I mean,
- 17:05Speaker 3: if the better you are throwing the ball, the more
- 17:09Speaker 3: you're gonna make roster building concessions more about how a
- 17:14Speaker 3: player fits rather than what's his ultimate talent level. And
- 17:17Speaker 3: that's that's always the question of scouting. What's the most
- 17:20Speaker 3: important the fit or the talent. You know, you get both,
- 17:24Speaker 3: that's the ultimate That's but I think I think you
- 17:29Speaker 3: can say that because the quarterbacks, sure, you know you
- 17:32Speaker 3: have the man. Herbert's really good. You know, Bo is accurate.
- 17:38Speaker 3: So when you have an accurate quarterback, it's.
- 17:42Speaker 1: But you think about white outs. It's it's what it's
- 17:44Speaker 1: that's from Courtland, It's where she Rice, It's Maconkey.
- 17:47Speaker 3: That's where these teams have made their decisions. You know,
- 17:51Speaker 3: they've got elite quarterbacks. You know, Bowers is an elite
- 17:55Speaker 3: tight end. Kelsey has been an elite tight end for
- 17:57Speaker 3: a long time. So that's that's where the talent. You know,
- 18:00Speaker 3: they chosen that those schemes to be that.
- 18:04Speaker 6: Fitf do you do you keep tabs on the rest
- 18:06Speaker 6: of the AFC West with your your fellow colleagues, I mean,
- 18:08Speaker 6: do you do you know how those camps are going?
- 18:10Speaker 4: And that's what I get.
- 18:12Speaker 6: I've tried not to worry too much about the rest
- 18:13Speaker 6: of the division, but I'm trying to think of where
- 18:15Speaker 6: the Broncos are going to slot in and from what.
- 18:18Speaker 3: I red a cat fight, I mean, you got yeah,
- 18:20Speaker 3: it seems like.
- 18:20Speaker 6: Everybody's kind of happy, even Raiders people are kind of
- 18:23Speaker 6: happy outside that stupid Wilkins discration distraction. Everybody's kind of
- 18:27Speaker 6: happy with how things are going with their team.
- 18:29Speaker 3: Well, I think that the thing in this division now,
- 18:32Speaker 3: like you know, Broncos make the playoffs last year because
- 18:35Speaker 3: Sean runs rough shot over the NFC South right right,
- 18:39Speaker 3: you know, overmatched, coached better than they did. You know whatever,
- 18:43Speaker 3: You're not gonna have that in the AFC West. You've
- 18:45Speaker 3: got four coaches who all know what they're doing. They've
- 18:48Speaker 3: all been to the Super Bowl. You know you're You're
- 18:50Speaker 3: not gonna get a cheap afternoon in the AFC West.
- 18:54Speaker 3: I think that's to me is what strikes I mean,
- 18:57Speaker 3: and I think Pete Carroll going to the Raiders when
- 19:00Speaker 3: John Fox got here. If even if their talent levels
- 19:03Speaker 3: the same, they'll play better than the than the team
- 19:06Speaker 3: that did the the year before.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Thirty seconds, Maybe you can't answer.
- 19:10Speaker 3: I can't answer anything in thirty seconds.
- 19:12Speaker 1: You know, the hell's going on with Christian Wilkins stuff
- 19:15Speaker 1: in Vegas?
- 19:15Speaker 3: Pretty nutty?
- 19:16Speaker 4: What is it about?
- 19:18Speaker 3: I agree, I'm not sure I've seen a grievance for
- 19:20Speaker 3: a kiss on the head.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Yeah, there feels like, well, who was it? Was it?
- 19:26Speaker 3: That looks to me like you know, his and his
- 19:29Speaker 3: representatives are gonna chance. You can't release an injured player. Man,
- 19:32Speaker 3: that's just the bottom line. Yeah, they're going to say
- 19:33Speaker 3: you released an injured player.
- 19:35Speaker 4: Yeah. Anyway, Okay, the next time we have we have young.
- 19:38Speaker 4: We don't have time.
- 19:39Speaker 5: I want to talk Hall of Fame this upcoming year
- 19:41Speaker 5: in Mike Shanahan because I know you.
- 19:44Speaker 4: Have a big hand in hold and doesn't get in
- 19:47Speaker 4: this upcoming season. My goodness.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Then waiting they put the coaches back in the in
- 19:52Speaker 3: the deeper pool. That's the problem. Well, and we think
- 19:56Speaker 3: some of us argued for that, but anyway, it's.
- 19:59Speaker 4: Like in a hand it. Look at us.
- 20:01Speaker 6: I mean, look at the entire resume from day one,
- 20:04Speaker 6: including the two Super Bowls.
- 20:05Speaker 4: But look at.
- 20:06Speaker 6: Everything else, you know, the coordinator, the coordinator jobs, and
- 20:09Speaker 6: everything else he did. For crying out loud, this guy's
- 20:12Speaker 6: damn Jeff, he was damn good.
- 20:15Speaker 3: You know, I got a pretty good up close look
- 20:16Speaker 3: at him.
- 20:17Speaker 4: Because I guess you did.
- 20:19Speaker 3: I like, you know, I appreciate you telling.
- 20:21Speaker 1: You, but it just you know me, you're talking to
- 20:24Speaker 1: the guy who is advocating.
- 20:25Speaker 6: I get frustrated, Jeff. There, I get frustrated. He needs
- 20:30Speaker 6: to be in like that.
- 20:31Speaker 3: I feel like I'm in the grocery store now I
- 20:33Speaker 3: get I get hit up.
- 20:35Speaker 1: You might not know about this. John Elway was a
- 20:37Speaker 1: hell of a player.
- 20:37Speaker 3: Now you know. I'm gonna I'm gonna write that down.
- 20:39Speaker 3: That's why I carry my notepad because I write stuff down.
- 20:43Speaker 3: Like sometimes Vick will tell me stuff and then I
- 20:45Speaker 3: write it down.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Underrated, I think, Yeah, Jeff.
- 20:48Speaker 3: I appreciate a chance. As they used to say.
