The new Lansing-Iowa to Wisconsin bridge just hit a major milestone—its final steel beam was installed, officially “topping out” the structure. Celebrating with a U.S. flag and fir tree for luck and safety, crews are now moving to pour the concrete deck by late July, with the 40-foot-wide bridge expected to open to traffic in 2027. Replacing the old Black Hawk Bridge demolished in 2025, this upgrade marks a huge leap forward for regional infrastructure and community connectivity across the Mississippi.
