- 0:10SPEAKER_00: Welcome to the Daily Rider, where we share a lesson each day to help you cultivate the habits for creative success.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: In the law enforcement community, a person of interest is a phrase used to describe somebody who may be involved in an ongoing investigation or connected with a crime, but they haven't yet been formally accused of a crime.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: This person has created buzz and interest because of their actions.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: You know, you can do the same thing also.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: Curiosity works both ways.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: It's important to be a curious writer and extend your curiosity outward, but you can also make curiosity flow inward.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: You can make people curious about you, or you can be a quote unquote person of interest by doing interesting things.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: A simple and effective way to do this is to share what you're working on.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: You can use social media, email, conversations, meetings, masterminds, groups, and any means you can think of to share what you've been learning as you write and create.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: Being interesting is not about doing completely original things.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: It's just about sharing what you're doing.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: Because after all, there's no such thing as being completely original.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: You can simply be interesting by talking about the things that you're doing, how you're growing, what you're learning, and all those kinds of things.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: And when you do that, you'll be massively interesting to the people around you just by virtue of you sharing what you're working on and what you're learning in your life right now.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: Here's your daily question: what are you learning that you can share with others and how could it help them?
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: Thanks so much for listening to today's episode.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: If you've been listening to this show for any length of time, you know that one of the four practices of a great writer is creativity.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: And in order to stay creative, you've got to have great input.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: And that's where writing prompts come in.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: A writing prompt is a sentence or two that helps you break through creative blocks, brainstorm new ideas, and get back into a state of flow.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: Writing prompts are an awesome creative tool for journaling, storytelling, creative writing, stress relief, social media posts, and so much more.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: But the great news is that you don't have to create these yourself.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: We've put together an amazing package of 365 daily writing prompts.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: So every day for the next year, you can have a shot of inspiration delivered straight to your inbox.
