- 0:00Speaker 1: Now, from the Star Reynolds Sports Desk, your 93.3 KJR
- 0:04Speaker 1: FM Sports Headlines.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Headlines brought to you by Frostbrood Coors Light. Cold as
- 0:11Speaker 2: the Rockies. Sam Darnold officially ruled out for this weekend.
- 0:15Speaker 2: He has a glute injury. We expect to see Drew
- 0:18Speaker 2: Locke again at quarterback. Per a statement yesterday from a
- 0:22Speaker 2: Seahawks spokesperson, Darnold has a, quote, very unique soft tissue injury.
- 0:28Speaker 3: I prefer soft.
- 0:30Speaker 2: His hip joint is unaffected. Short term injury. No timeline.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Donald was in the building yesterday, Monday night football last night.
- 0:40Speaker 2: And Kenneth Walker may be making John Schneider regret not
- 0:43Speaker 2: bringing him back. What a game he had. A couple
- 0:46Speaker 2: of touchdowns nearly went for 200 yards.
- 0:49Speaker 4: All scrimmage.
- 0:50Speaker 2: We'll certainly talk about K-9's game in a little bit
- 0:53Speaker 2: as the Chiefs beat the Broncos 31-10. That is the
- 0:57Speaker 2: first time in a very, very long time that a
- 0:59Speaker 2: defending AFC Championship game participant has lost by 20-plus points
- 1:04Speaker 2: to open the next season.
- 1:06Speaker 4: Yikes, Denver.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Mariners, anybody still watching the Mariners? Yeah, last night... Yeah,
- 1:14Speaker 2: we'll get into it. Mariners continuing to lose to teams
- 1:17Speaker 2: that they shouldn't as they have. Angels beating them six
- 1:20Speaker 2: to four last night. Kate Anderson, four and a third,
- 1:23Speaker 2: five earned runs, struck out five.
- 1:25Speaker 4: J.P. Crawford, Cal Raleigh both homered.
- 1:28Speaker 2: But listen, you're now five and a half back in
- 1:30Speaker 2: the West, six games back in the wild card. Let's
- 1:33Speaker 2: be all honest with us. The Mariners season is over.
- 1:37Speaker 2: I have questions about the show intro. We'll get into
- 1:39Speaker 2: that in a minute. Jackson Feltz in for Greg Bell
- 1:42Speaker 2: today here on Sports Radio 93.3 KJR FM. Welcome in.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Welcome in, everybody. I think we'll start there. There's a
- 1:50Speaker 2: lot to get to here. I want to get into K-9.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Last night on Monday Night Football, Sam Darnold. What the
- 1:55Speaker 2: heck it means to have a very unique soft tissue injury.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Short term. What does short term mean? We'll get into
- 2:03Speaker 2: some Husky stuff. DeMond Williams and the Ooh, Huskies offense. Uh,
- 2:07Speaker 2: you know that I'm not going to go 10 to
- 2:09Speaker 2: 12 today and not talk a little Sounders. We got
- 2:11Speaker 2: Jordan Morris coming up at 10 45 Seattle's all time
- 2:15Speaker 2: leading goal score, uh, coming out of a draw that
- 2:18Speaker 2: they had against LA Colorado coming up. So Jordan Morris
- 2:21Speaker 2: will join us 1045. Then it is going to be
- 2:24Speaker 2: an absolute joy at 11 o'clock to welcome in Elise Woodward.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Elise Woodward, the new voice of Washington Huskies football. I
- 2:32Speaker 2: have a long, long history with Elise Woodward. She is
- 2:36Speaker 2: one of the first two people I met in this building.
- 2:39Speaker 2: The first time I walked into this building.
- 2:41Speaker 3: How lucky are you?
- 2:42Speaker 4: 15, almost 15 years ago.
- 2:43Speaker 5: Amazing.
- 2:45Speaker 2: We'll tell that story, get into it with Elisa. 11 o'clock,
- 2:48Speaker 2: talking more dogs. 11.30, we'll get to your talkbacks and texts.
- 2:52Speaker 2: All show, listen on the iHeartRadio app. There's this little button.
- 2:55Speaker 2: It's this little red talkback button. If you hold down
- 2:58Speaker 2: that button, you can record a 30-second message.
- 3:01Speaker 4: So do that.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Send me a message. Tell me why I'm an idiot today.
- 3:05Speaker 2: And we'll get into that at 11.30.
- 3:06Speaker 6: Everyone knows that I am the Talkback Queen, that I
- 3:09Speaker 6: just love them.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Give me some voices. Give me your voices.
- 3:13Speaker 4: I love it.
- 3:14Speaker 2: And to the Tacoma Dodge text line as well. We'll
- 3:17Speaker 2: get to your messages. Again, telling me that I am
- 3:19Speaker 2: an idiot because I probably am in many, many ways.
- 3:21Speaker 2: And then we'll cross talk. We'll have Factor Fiction, of course,
- 3:25Speaker 2: Lucky Eagle Casino Hotel. And of course, we will get
- 3:28Speaker 2: to some crosstalk with Ian. So there's the plan for
- 3:30Speaker 2: the next two hours. Jackson Feltz in for Greg Bell
- 3:33Speaker 2: alongside Jessamyn McIntyre. Jessamyn, where is there's two questions here
- 3:39Speaker 2: to start. A, where is Greg Bell? And B, why
- 3:42Speaker 2: do you let that song because you kind of help
- 3:44Speaker 2: me up. So don't talk.
- 3:45Speaker 4: Don't talk.
- 3:45Speaker 6: Yep.
- 3:46Speaker 4: So I said, all right.
- 3:47Speaker 7: All right.
- 3:47Speaker 4: I'll just shut up and sit back.
- 3:48Speaker 2: I don't want to don't start the show yet. So
- 3:51Speaker 2: why is Greg not here?
- 3:53Speaker 3: Because... Okay. Go ahead there first. One at a time
- 3:57Speaker 3: or are you doing a loaded question thing?
- 3:59Speaker 4: No, just go there.
- 3:59Speaker 6: Okay. He is in Hawaii visiting his daughter, Sarah, who
- 4:02Speaker 6: is stationed in the Coast Guard there. And so it's
- 4:05Speaker 6: the first time that he has seen her in a
- 4:06Speaker 6: very long time. So we love you, Sarah. Return of
- 4:09Speaker 6: the Mac is her favorite song. And that's why Greg
- 4:12Speaker 6: had chosen that.
- 4:13Speaker 4: Let's it play out to the core.
- 4:15Speaker 3: And when I.
- 4:16Speaker 6: Joined Greg Bell, Return of the Mac, because my last
- 4:20Speaker 6: name is McIntyre, so selfishly, I very much accepted that
- 4:24Speaker 6: as Return of the Mac.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Greg, I worked with him before I even worked here.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Oh, way back when, on The Other Place, yeah.
- 4:32Speaker 7: No, no, no.
- 4:33Speaker 4: Army, Navy. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Back in those days.
- 4:35Speaker 4: And you worked with me, too. Yeah, that's right.
- 4:38Speaker 6: So, anyway, Return of the Mack has several meanings, but
- 4:41Speaker 6: it is Sarah Bell's favorite song.
- 4:43Speaker 2: It's just, you know, the length of time. I would
- 4:46Speaker 2: love to know, 49451, do you want to hear more
- 4:50Speaker 2: of the song, less of me? Or do you want to,
- 4:53Speaker 2: I mean, frankly, we could just play the whole darn thing.
- 4:55Speaker 2: But listen, it's great to be in today and it's
- 4:57Speaker 2: great to be with you and doing this show from
- 5:00Speaker 2: 10 to 12. We have a lot to get to, Jessamyn.
- 5:03Speaker 2: You have on the headlines here, the Mariners, and I
- 5:06Speaker 2: kind of jokingly asked, is anybody still watching them? I mean,
- 5:10Speaker 2: I didn't put them on for a second last night.
- 5:13Speaker 2: And I mean, I'll be honest, I haven't watched Mariner
- 5:16Speaker 2: baseball in a bit. Like the reality is, is I
- 5:20Speaker 2: think Softie said it best on our three to seven
- 5:23Speaker 2: show a couple of weeks ago. It just doesn't ever
- 5:26Speaker 2: seem like a group that even believes that they can
- 5:28Speaker 2: do anything. So once once I kind of saw that, too,
- 5:32Speaker 2: it was probably a week and a half ago, I said, listen,
- 5:35Speaker 2: The Seahawks, I think it was like last Monday. The
- 5:37Speaker 2: Seahawks are starting up in a couple days. I think
- 5:39Speaker 2: I'm done with this baseball team.
- 5:41Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 5:41Speaker 2: I didn't watch them for a second, Jessamyn. I'm not
- 5:43Speaker 2: sure if you did, but they just don't seem worth
- 5:45Speaker 2: our time anymore as Seattle sports fans.
- 5:48Speaker 6: I mean, I got updates on my phone, to be honest.
- 5:51Speaker 6: You know, I was watching Monday Night Football.
- 5:53Speaker 4: Right.
- 5:54Speaker 6: But that almost seems like the trend that comes with
- 5:58Speaker 6: Seattle sports is that, you know, aside from last year,
- 6:03Speaker 6: is like, just get us.
- 6:03Speaker 3: To football season.
- 6:05Speaker 4: They couldn't even get us there this year.
- 6:07Speaker 3: No, they couldn't.
- 6:08Speaker 6: And it's sad because, you know, I spent a lot
- 6:10Speaker 6: of time down there. I spent time in the clubhouse,
- 6:13Speaker 6: in the press box. I have known a lot of
- 6:16Speaker 6: these players and the executives, the coaches and the managers.
- 6:21Speaker 4: It's just sad. Yeah, it's super sad.
- 6:24Speaker 2: I think we were well worth our time watching even
- 6:27Speaker 2: a blowout Monday Night Football game and what Kenneth Walker
- 6:31Speaker 2: did last night, Jess. I mean, the stats speak for themselves,
- 6:35Speaker 2: but we can talk about the actual eye test of
- 6:38Speaker 2: Kenneth Walker. He has 23 carries, 173 yards, and a touchdown.
- 6:42Speaker 2: He also catches three passes for 18 yards and another touchdown.
- 6:46Speaker 2: So near 200 all purpose. And it's also how they
- 6:50Speaker 2: used him. I mean, the Chiefs get the ball early
- 6:52Speaker 2: in this game after I think an interception to start
- 6:54Speaker 2: off and it's canine gets handoffs eight of the six
- 6:58Speaker 2: of the first eight plays. And it sort of tells
- 7:01Speaker 2: you everything that you need to know about why they
- 7:04Speaker 2: paid almost $ 16 million for Kenneth Walker. They think this
- 7:08Speaker 2: guy is going to be a bell cow. And I
- 7:11Speaker 2: don't know, Jess, for me, I'm kind of looking at
- 7:13Speaker 2: the situation saying Jadarian Price looked good. But, you know,
- 7:17Speaker 2: NFL money is funny money, right? And you can always
- 7:19Speaker 2: finagle things and work things some way. And, God, could
- 7:24Speaker 2: you have used that first round pick on another thing
- 7:26Speaker 2: like a cornerback, for example, not that you necessarily need it,
- 7:29Speaker 2: but or on a different position and retain Kenneth Walker
- 7:33Speaker 2: and let him be the bell cow? Because watching him
- 7:36Speaker 2: pop off for 200 yards for the Chiefs in their
- 7:38Speaker 2: opener made me miss the Super Bowl MVP and made
- 7:40Speaker 2: me kind of think like, Did we make a mistake
- 7:43Speaker 2: not keeping this guy?
- 7:45Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, I think that's all fair, but this
- 7:47Speaker 6: is like woulda, shoulda, coulda territory. And by the way,
- 7:51Speaker 6: if you want to talk about hurt butts and all,
- 7:54Speaker 6: I was playing against.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Interesting transition, go ahead.
- 7:58Speaker 4: I'll ride with you on this.
- 7:59Speaker 3: Okay, thank you.
- 8:01Speaker 5: Mr.
- 8:01Speaker 6: Goodwill Hunting, sales guy out there, I was playing against
- 8:04Speaker 6: him in Fantasy last night. I was up by 46 points.
- 8:08Speaker 6: And he had Kenneth Walker, the only player going.
- 8:10Speaker 4: What did he get?
- 8:12Speaker 6: I beat him, but I.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Puckered a little bit on that one. I'll just be
- 8:19Speaker 3: honest about it.
- 8:20Speaker 2: See, here I thought you were going to talk about
- 8:21Speaker 2: Sam Donald's butt. I didn't need you talking about your
- 8:23Speaker 2: butt on a Tuesday morning.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Well, there was a lot of butts involved here. But anyway.
- 8:29Speaker 6: I was very nervous, and that made me realize how
- 8:32Speaker 6: valuable he is.
- 8:33Speaker 3: I didn't think he would be.
- 8:36Speaker 6: As poppy with his new team as he was last night.
- 8:40Speaker 6: I thought he'd be good and then turn back into great,
- 8:44Speaker 6: but I did not expect exactly what we saw last night.
- 8:47Speaker 6: And maybe the Seahawks front office didn't either, or they
- 8:50Speaker 6: just decided they needed to, you know— put their funny
- 8:54Speaker 6: money aside. I heard the morning show, Chuck and Anders
- 8:57Speaker 6: were talking about how high would you go? How low
- 9:01Speaker 6: would you go? And would he accept it? And I
- 9:06Speaker 6: think they stopped at 45.
- 9:08Speaker 4: So let's just do this math right now.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Currently, the Seahawks have, according, this is overthecap.com, they have
- 9:15Speaker 2: a total cap space right now of $ 14.
- 9:17Speaker 4: 4 million.
- 9:20Speaker 2: You look into the first round draft pick money for
- 9:22Speaker 2: a you very, very easily could have made a Kenneth
- 9:27Speaker 2: Walker deal work. I think it's enormously clear. I mean,
- 9:30Speaker 2: also look at the money that they spent on Emmanuel Wilson.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Look at the money they spent on that position. If
- 9:36Speaker 2: you had brought Kenneth Walker back, you don't bring in Wilson.
- 9:39Speaker 2: You easily could have made a Kenneth Walker deal work,
- 9:42Speaker 2: I think. While also retaining your big guys and giving
- 9:45Speaker 2: Big Cad the extension and giving Witherspoon the extension, giving
- 9:49Speaker 2: Jackson Smith and Jigba the extension. You could have done
- 9:51Speaker 2: all of this and brought back K-9. And yes, you
- 9:54Speaker 2: have a large chunk of money where you can go
- 9:56Speaker 2: make a move at the trade deadline if you want to.
- 9:59Speaker 2: But I look at the situation and I say, Man,
- 10:03Speaker 2: we saw at the end of last season what happens
- 10:06Speaker 2: when it's just Kenneth Walker's show. I mean, the reality is,
- 10:09Speaker 2: is Kenneth Walker when he was healthy and when he
- 10:12Speaker 2: was the lone guy. And that didn't happen much because
- 10:14Speaker 2: usually he was either the running back apart from Charbonnet
- 10:19Speaker 2: or he's alongside.
- 10:20Speaker 4: Somebody or he's hurt.
- 10:22Speaker 2: But when he is the lone horse in the backfield,
- 10:25Speaker 2: he produces at a pretty darn good clip. And after
- 10:30Speaker 2: just that playoff run in the end of the season,
- 10:33Speaker 2: it was pretty clear. Oh, this guy, when he has
- 10:35Speaker 2: his chance and he is getting the workload. is a
- 10:38Speaker 2: workhorse that you can rely on. Until he gets hurt,
- 10:41Speaker 2: but that can happen with any running back. So all
- 10:44Speaker 2: of this to say, man, Seahawks, I love Jadarian Price,
- 10:48Speaker 2: he looked good, but it really sucks when you watch
- 10:51Speaker 2: a guy pop off like that, knowing that you very
- 10:55Speaker 2: easily could have spent the money, because you have the money,
- 10:58Speaker 2: 14.4 in the bucket right now for Seattle to spend,
- 11:02Speaker 2: according to Over the Cap. They could have done it.
- 11:05Speaker 2: And they didn't do it. So I do have a
- 11:07Speaker 2: little bit of regrets right now.
- 11:09Speaker 6: I'm just wondering if after NFL MVP, they knew that
- 11:12Speaker 6: contract was expiring.
- 11:14Speaker 3: They were just didn't even look at it.
- 11:15Speaker 4: I wonder. I think it's the wrong play.
- 11:19Speaker 6: They're very, very smart people. And I'm sure they had
- 11:22Speaker 6: already looked at it. But I wonder if they had.
- 11:25Speaker 3: It was all foresight.
- 11:26Speaker 4: And then.
- 11:28Speaker 3: You go to the other side of it. I wonder.
- 11:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I wonder too.
- 11:33Speaker 2: And also you've got to think about where this team is.
- 11:35Speaker 2: It's obviously more than just a one-year deal for Kenneth Walker.
- 11:39Speaker 2: So as you project out these years and you project out, okay,
- 11:42Speaker 2: we may have... 14.4 in space this year to fill
- 11:46Speaker 2: up that Walker deal. But what are we going to
- 11:47Speaker 2: look like in 2027? What are we going to look
- 11:50Speaker 2: like in 2028? That's a situation where we may have
- 11:55Speaker 2: the money now, we may not have it on the
- 11:56Speaker 2: back end. And of course, it's all funny money. They
- 11:58Speaker 2: can mess with it a million different ways. But Yeah,
- 12:00Speaker 2: I mean, it stinks to watch. And as that relates to,
- 12:03Speaker 2: you got to think about Sam Darnold, because as Sam Darnold, yes,
- 12:07Speaker 2: he's currently injured. But if he comes back from this, quote,
- 12:11Speaker 2: short term injury, according to a Seahawks spokesperson. If he
- 12:14Speaker 2: comes back from that and then produces, you're going to
- 12:18Speaker 2: have to give him a pretty large extension. You talked
- 12:21Speaker 2: about how the morning show is saying how high would
- 12:23Speaker 2: you have gone for Kenneth Walker. The big question I
- 12:25Speaker 2: think for Seahawks fans is, you know, assuming Donald comes
- 12:28Speaker 2: back and is okay, how high do you go for Donald?
- 12:31Speaker 2: Is it 50? Is it 55? Is it 60? We
- 12:35Speaker 2: all know the richest quarterback in the NFL isn't the
- 12:38Speaker 2: current best guy.
- 12:39Speaker 4: It's just the next guy.
- 12:41Speaker 6: Well, when it comes to Sam Darnold, because, you know,
- 12:43Speaker 6: me growing up a Jets fan, I have paid extensive
- 12:47Speaker 6: attention to his career. This is the first place that
- 12:50Speaker 6: I feel like is home to him And I don't
- 12:53Speaker 6: like to say the word hometown discount.
- 12:55Speaker 4: Oh, that's not at all.
- 12:57Speaker 6: However, I think he wants to stay here and would
- 13:00Speaker 6: be able to work with the team. I don't think
- 13:02Speaker 6: there's going to be a bidding war for him. So
- 13:05Speaker 6: I don't think we're looking at a Kenneth Walker situation.
- 13:07Speaker 6: I think we're looking at a specific situation that serves
- 13:11Speaker 6: both him and the team.
- 13:12Speaker 2: I hope you're right. I mean, I hope that's the case.
- 13:15Speaker 3: I'm Susie Sunshine over here.
- 13:16Speaker 4: I know. Don't you know?
- 13:18Speaker 2: It's funny because we always go back to certain cases
- 13:20Speaker 2: where certain players give a hometown discount where you didn't
- 13:22Speaker 2: expect one. Certain players will not give a hometown discount
- 13:26Speaker 2: when you did expect one.
- 13:27Speaker 4: Golden Tate's an interesting case. I was just going to
- 13:30Speaker 4: say that.
- 13:30Speaker 2: Golden Tate's an interesting case where he comes from Notre Dame.
- 13:34Speaker 2: We draft him, give him a shot, utilize him, and
- 13:37Speaker 2: then it comes time for his first big deal. And
- 13:40Speaker 2: he doesn't give Seattle the discount and he goes to
- 13:42Speaker 2: Detroit and he makes his money. But he's, you know,
- 13:45Speaker 2: he's solid in Detroit. But, you know, at the end
- 13:47Speaker 2: of the day, like that became, oh, he'll give us
- 13:50Speaker 2: a discount. We drafted him and he's our, you know,
- 13:54Speaker 2: this is his home and he won a Super Bowl here.
- 13:56Speaker 1: No, he didn't.
- 13:57Speaker 2: He just didn't. So you get both those cases. I
- 14:01Speaker 2: am impossible for me to. ever say, yeah, we're going
- 14:04Speaker 2: to get a hometown discount for Darnold. And as it
- 14:06Speaker 2: plays into that, Jess, is the injury situation.
- 14:09Speaker 4: He has a quote. This is from a Seahawks spokesperson.
- 14:11Speaker 2: And it was funny because yesterday at 4 p.m., this
- 14:15Speaker 2: spokesperson gives a comment to every single Seahawks reporter. So
- 14:20Speaker 2: over the course of about a 90-second period, you have
- 14:23Speaker 2: about 10 different Seahawks reporters all saying the exact same
- 14:27Speaker 2: thing on social media. You could have screenshotted it and said...
- 14:31Speaker 2: You guys could have consolidated it. It was a joint effort, yeah.
- 14:34Speaker 2: There should really be like a Seahawks press Twitter account
- 14:37Speaker 2: that every single person is in on.
- 14:39Speaker 4: You know, Curtis Crabtree, Greg Bell, all of them.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Just have one joint press account and then just that's
- 14:45Speaker 2: where that's where they say, all right, we're all going
- 14:46Speaker 2: to send the same thing. And the same thing said,
- 14:49Speaker 2: very unique soft tissue, which is a glute injury. Hip
- 14:52Speaker 2: joint is unaffected. It's a short term injury. No timeline,
- 14:56Speaker 2: the recovery. Darnold was in the building yesterday. Okay. And
- 15:00Speaker 2: obviously the number one line from this is, well, what
- 15:04Speaker 2: the hell does short term mean? Because as it relates
- 15:08Speaker 2: to the term, this came just a little bit after
- 15:12Speaker 2: Mike Florio for PFT had the report of its four
- 15:15Speaker 2: to six weeks.
- 15:16Speaker 4: So Florio says four to six weeks.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Seahawks spokesperson says through the reporters, it's it's a short
- 15:23Speaker 2: term injury. Which leaves you asking, not only which one
- 15:28Speaker 2: is it, but what does short-term mean? Does short-term mean
- 15:32Speaker 2: one week and it's the Cardinals game? Does short-term mean
- 15:35Speaker 2: now we're looking at two to three weeks and you're
- 15:37Speaker 2: looking for him to be out for the Washington game
- 15:41Speaker 2: coming up? I mean, I think we're all kind of
- 15:44Speaker 2: asking ourselves, what is the real situation with Sam Darnold?
- 15:48Speaker 4: Because I was expecting Mike McDonald to speak yesterday. He didn't.
- 15:51Speaker 4: He wasn't scheduled. I thought he was scheduled.
- 15:53Speaker 2: But you look at commanders there in week three, Chargers
- 15:56Speaker 2: week four, 49ers week five, Broncos week six, Chiefs week seven,
- 16:00Speaker 2: Bears week eight.
- 16:02Speaker 4: That is a run.
- 16:03Speaker 2: If Mike Florio is right and it is six weeks
- 16:08Speaker 2: and if short term is just kind of, hey, nobody
- 16:10Speaker 2: freak out.
- 16:11Speaker 4: Yeah, it is six weeks. Then I'm worried through that
- 16:14Speaker 4: Bears game on November 2nd.
- 16:16Speaker 3: I'm with you on that. I'm with you.
- 16:18Speaker 6: And short-term can mean so many different things, too. But
- 16:20Speaker 6: soft tissue is better than ligament. If I hear ligament,
- 16:24Speaker 6: I'm like, ah, bye. Like, we'll never see you again. But, yeah,
- 16:28Speaker 6: if it's a glute, I mean, that's a strained or
- 16:31Speaker 6: pulled muscle. And they have to be careful and they
- 16:35Speaker 6: can't say anything more right now because they don't know
- 16:38Speaker 6: how that will be assessed throughout each week.
- 16:41Speaker 3: They don't know.
- 16:43Speaker 6: So I think what they're putting out there in short term,
- 16:47Speaker 6: officially ruling him out very early in the week for
- 16:49Speaker 6: week two, which they don't always do, by the way,
- 16:52Speaker 6: because it's always a chess match when it comes to
- 16:55Speaker 6: what's being reported regularly.
- 16:56Speaker 3: But they just put it straight out there. That worried me.
- 16:59Speaker 6: And he was not questionable throughout this week leading up
- 17:02Speaker 6: to this weekend's game.
- 17:05Speaker 3: So I.
- 17:07Speaker 3: I think it might be a little more serious than
- 17:09Speaker 3: short term.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm a bit worried about that because I would
- 17:13Speaker 2: have loved to have that spokesperson say the words, you know,
- 17:17Speaker 2: one to two week. Listen, I think for Mike McDonald,
- 17:20Speaker 2: we have the media schedule. It only goes through today.
- 17:23Speaker 2: So I would assume with a normal week, a normal
- 17:25Speaker 2: game on Sunday against the Cardinals, he speaks tomorrow and
- 17:29Speaker 2: I'm going to just hold my breath.
- 17:30Speaker 4: It's only a day I can hold my breath. All right,
- 17:33Speaker 4: good luck. Yeah, right. We'll wait to hear.
- 17:35Speaker 2: But what short-term means? Yeah, Mike McDonald. I need a
- 17:39Speaker 2: bit more than that tomorrow. So we'll learn that tomorrow.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Coming up here on our show, this is Jackson Feltz
- 17:45Speaker 2: sitting in for Greg Bell, Sports Radio 93.3 KJR FM.
- 17:49Speaker 2: We got Jessamyn McIntyre behind the window there pressing all
- 17:53Speaker 2: the buttons. We'll get to your talkbacks on the iHeartRadio app.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Hit that little red button.
- 17:58Speaker 4: Talk to us.
- 17:59Speaker 2: The Tacoma Dodge text line as well. Text us in 49451.
- 18:02Speaker 2: What does short-term mean to you? How worried are you
- 18:06Speaker 2: about Sam Donald missing some extended time, especially with that
- 18:09Speaker 2: schedule I outlined coming up?
- 18:11Speaker 4: We'll get to that at 1130.
- 18:12Speaker 2: We've got Jordan Morris, Sounders' all-time leading scorer, coming up
- 18:15Speaker 2: at 1045. Talking a little bit of Sounders, just a
- 18:19Speaker 2: little bit. You know I had to do some as
- 18:21Speaker 2: one of the Sounder broadcasters.
- 18:22Speaker 3: Well, you chose the best one.
- 18:24Speaker 4: I did. Well, except for.
- 18:26Speaker 2: I would say, you know, uh, day on Yovalich. That
- 18:28Speaker 2: was the one I tried for the new $ 6 million
- 18:30Speaker 2: man from Kansas city. Uh, but I'll, I'll settle for
- 18:33Speaker 2: the all time.
- 18:34Speaker 4: Leading goal scorer. That's joking right there.
- 18:35Speaker 2: Uh, also the new voice of the Huskies, Elise Woodward. Uh,
- 18:40Speaker 2: she will join us at 11 o'clock to talk some dogs. Uh,
- 18:43Speaker 2: we have a lot to get to, but coming up next,
- 18:44Speaker 2: I want to focus on the Huskies and I want
- 18:46Speaker 2: to focus on Demond Williams. Cause I have not liked
- 18:49Speaker 2: what I have seen so far from, I mentioned the
- 18:52Speaker 2: sound or $ 6 million man, according to reports, uh, It's
- 18:55Speaker 2: the Huskies' $ 4 million man, DeMond Williams. I have not
- 18:58Speaker 2: liked what I've seen from the Huskies' $ 4 million man.
- 19:01Speaker 2: We're going to talk about DeMond and the Huskies' offense.
- 19:03Speaker 2: That comes up next. Jackson Feltz in for Greg Bell.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Sports Radio 93.3 KJR FM.
- 19:21Speaker 4: Welcome back. Welcome back, everybody.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Jackson Feltz sitting in for Greg Bell today as Greg
- 19:26Speaker 2: is over in Hawaii with his daughter, a place that
- 19:29Speaker 2: I'm going to be a few weeks from now. It's
- 19:31Speaker 2: taken about eight, nine days and headed over to the
- 19:34Speaker 2: North Shore of Oahu for my 10-year anniversary with my wife.
- 19:39Speaker 4: Congratulations. Thank you. Thank you.
- 19:41Speaker 2: It's 10 years now, and we're going to go spend
- 19:44Speaker 2: some time where Greg Bell is right now. So sitting
- 19:47Speaker 2: in for him from 10 to noon alongside Jessamyn McIntyre.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Thank you for joining us. Reminder of things coming up.
- 19:53Speaker 2: We got a little bit of a busy, busy show
- 19:55Speaker 2: here coming up over the next hour. Coming up in
- 19:57Speaker 2: just about 15 minutes, Jordan Morris, Sounders all-time leading goal scorer,
- 20:02Speaker 2: Sounders striker and forward. He got Game-tying assist on a
- 20:06Speaker 2: game that they had, the 1-1 draw in Los Angeles
- 20:09Speaker 2: this last weekend. He comes up, coming up in just
- 20:12Speaker 2: about 15 minutes. Funny story with Jordan that, you know,
- 20:15Speaker 2: I'll just tell it right now. It's funny, Jessamyn. So
- 20:18Speaker 2: we took the broadcast on the road to L.A. I'm
- 20:21Speaker 2: sure the Sounders... Brass won't get mad at me for
- 20:24Speaker 2: saying this. I really don't think this isn't saying any
- 20:28Speaker 2: state secrets or anything. So we go on the trip
- 20:31Speaker 2: and we don't go on many road trips, but we
- 20:33Speaker 2: do go on the West Coast ones, including for Los Angeles.
- 20:38Speaker 2: And where the team stays, there's a very, very good
- 20:41Speaker 2: donut shop next to it. And I've made it a
- 20:43Speaker 2: thing for me where I will go and I will
- 20:46Speaker 2: go get a few donuts.
- 20:47Speaker 3: Treat yourself.
- 20:48Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 20:48Speaker 2: So I wake up early on Saturday morning, this last
- 20:51Speaker 2: Saturday morning before the game. And it's probably, gosh, about
- 20:54Speaker 2: 6 a.m. And I already know that I need breakfast.
- 20:57Speaker 2: And I know that I need lunch before the evening
- 20:59Speaker 2: game at the stadium.
- 21:01Speaker 4: So, shoot. All right.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Just go get some donuts. So I go get not one,
- 21:06Speaker 2: not two, not three.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Sorry, Riza. I know I'm trying to lose weight for
- 21:11Speaker 4: our Hawaii trip, but I got four donuts. Four?
- 21:14Speaker 3: Like all different kinds?
- 21:15Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 21:16Speaker 2: And listen, I am like, you know how we talk
- 21:18Speaker 2: about here in Seattle, like it's the North Face vest.
- 21:21Speaker 4: And the Uggs girl.
- 21:22Speaker 2: I am like, and like pumpkin spice coffee.
- 21:25Speaker 3: You're wearing flannel right now.
- 21:26Speaker 4: Yeah, very true.
- 21:28Speaker 2: I am like that when it comes to donuts. I
- 21:31Speaker 2: am about the designer donuts.
- 21:34Speaker 4: You're basic.
- 21:35Speaker 8: No, no.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Oh, you're the opposite of basic when it comes to donuts.
- 21:38Speaker 2: So it's this amazing donut place, and I got a
- 21:42Speaker 2: red velvet donut. I got a pumpkin spice donut.
- 21:45Speaker 4: Oh, my gosh. That's basic. I got an apple fritter.
- 21:48Speaker 8: Oh, gosh.
- 21:48Speaker 3: Those are the best.
- 21:49Speaker 2: Yeah, and then I got the maple bacon donut. And
- 21:53Speaker 2: for me, it was the simple plan of I have
- 21:55Speaker 2: two for breakfast and I have two for lunch.
- 21:58Speaker 3: That's not a breakfast or a lunch.
- 22:00Speaker 4: It worked out really well.
- 22:02Speaker 2: Again, I know I'm supposed to lose weight, honey, but
- 22:04Speaker 2: I'm definitely not doing that right now. At least I
- 22:07Speaker 2: wasn't on Saturday. No, I mean, so anyway, so I
- 22:10Speaker 2: get the four donuts and I have a box of
- 22:11Speaker 2: donuts and I'm walking back to the team hotel from
- 22:13Speaker 2: this donut shop. And a bunch of sounder players are lounging,
- 22:19Speaker 2: just hanging out there at the hotel.
- 22:21Speaker 4: And I'm like, well, this looks good. So they all stare.
- 22:25Speaker 2: There's about four or five of them who's just kind
- 22:27Speaker 2: of very much staring me down as I walk into
- 22:30Speaker 2: the hotel with donuts.
- 22:33Speaker 4: How do I play this off? So it's kind of
- 22:34Speaker 4: very much the judgy eyes. I don't blame them at all. Like, listen,
- 22:37Speaker 4: I am a fat ass. Fair enough. No, you're not.
- 22:41Speaker 2: So as I pass them, I say to very much
- 22:44Speaker 2: them looking, say, guys, I'm a broadcaster.
- 22:48Speaker 4: I'm already a fat ass. I can have these.
- 22:52Speaker 6: You got defensive without anything happening.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Jordan was, was among that group and we, we shared
- 22:59Speaker 2: a nice little laugh there. So Jordan Morris comes up
- 23:02Speaker 2: here in just about 15 minutes as we talk about that.
- 23:05Speaker 2: I'll also at least Woodward voice of the dogs. We'll
- 23:07Speaker 2: talk some Huskies football coming up at 11 o'clock as well.
- 23:10Speaker 2: Your texts and your talk backs. The four, nine, four, five,
- 23:13Speaker 2: one is our Tacoma Dodge text line. Also, iHeartRadio app.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Hit that little red talkback button. That's how you can
- 23:20Speaker 2: send us a message for 1130. And again, tell me, yeah,
- 23:24Speaker 2: that was not a bad idea to get four donuts.
- 23:26Speaker 2: When you're in Rome and you don't have a good
- 23:28Speaker 2: donut shop, you just go for it.
- 23:30Speaker 3: The question is, did your plan work out?
- 23:32Speaker 4: Oh, it was great.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 23:33Speaker 9: OK.
- 23:33Speaker 4: The breakfast was great.
- 23:34Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 23:35Speaker 4: Maple bacon first. The apple fritter. That was breakfast. And
- 23:37Speaker 4: then I had the red velvet and pumpkin spice for lunch.
- 23:39Speaker 4: It was wonderful. It worked great.
- 23:41Speaker 3: I would crash though.
- 23:42Speaker 6: Oh, no.
- 23:43Speaker 4: She's already texting me.
- 23:44Speaker 6: Oh, you are in trouble.
- 23:46Speaker 4: Yeah, I certainly am. Probably shouldn't have shared that.
- 23:48Speaker 2: Hey, while we have a few minutes before we get
- 23:50Speaker 2: a break and get to Jordan Morris, I do want
- 23:52Speaker 2: to talk some Huskies here. Um, I have not, I
- 23:55Speaker 2: think it's pretty clear. Nobody is happy with what we've
- 23:58Speaker 2: seen from the UW offense. Uh, DeMond Williams very simply
- 24:01Speaker 2: has not been good so far. I mean, you look
- 24:04Speaker 2: at the stat sheet and the stat sheet's kind of,
- 24:07Speaker 2: I think a little bit deceiving when it comes to
- 24:09Speaker 2: these games, WSU game, Apple cup, he was 24, 35 touchdown,
- 24:12Speaker 2: no picks in utah state game 26 of 41 249
- 24:19Speaker 2: and then no scores no interception zero zero there but
- 24:23Speaker 2: it's also simply what we're seeing from damon williams and
- 24:26Speaker 2: i just don't like what i'm seeing out of a
- 24:28Speaker 2: guy who is making a lot of money right now
- 24:31Speaker 2: in nil from the university of washington yeah there's no
- 24:34Speaker 2: salary cap but still it's one of those things where
- 24:36Speaker 2: i'm kind of like man demand you know if if
- 24:39Speaker 2: you are making what everybody says you're making i need
- 24:41Speaker 2: to get a little bit more production out of what
- 24:44Speaker 2: is supposed to be a superstar quarterback um here's what
- 24:47Speaker 2: jed fish had to say at his press conference yesterday
- 24:50Speaker 2: because he was asked about the the udob offense here's
- 24:52Speaker 2: what jed said about demand williams thought.
- 24:54Speaker 9: Demand played very well uh after the first quarter i
- 24:58Speaker 9: think the second third and fourth quarter he was um
- 25:01Speaker 9: really sharp i don't think he had more than a
- 25:04Speaker 9: couple incompletions and um most of those incompletions, he put
- 25:09Speaker 9: the ball in a good spot.
- 25:11Speaker 6: Okay.
- 25:12Speaker 2: So obviously Jed's very high on DeMond Williams. DeMond's been
- 25:16Speaker 2: his guy for years. So understandable that Jed Fish would
- 25:21Speaker 2: back DeMond Williams. Yesterday on our afternoon show with Softie
- 25:26Speaker 2: and with Hugh Millen, we played that audio and Hugh
- 25:30Speaker 2: Millen had a.
- 25:33Speaker 4: I'm not going to use an adjective. I'm just going
- 25:35Speaker 4: to say he had a reaction.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Let's get to Hugh Millen's reaction, shall we?
- 25:40Speaker 10: I'm just trying to make sense out of this, okay?
- 25:45Speaker 10: And I think that you run a problem. There's kind
- 25:49Speaker 10: of a teacher's pet quality that's going on about DeMond Williams.
- 25:53Speaker 10: And the players look at that tape, and they know
- 25:56Speaker 10: damn well he didn't play well after the second quarter.
- 25:59Speaker 10: I mean, he missed a wide-open touchdown in the end
- 26:02Speaker 10: zone going to the lake. That was in the fourth quarter.
- 26:05Speaker 10: He has a NIH ball up the sideline on a
- 26:08Speaker 10: go route, which is a never in history because it's
- 26:10Speaker 10: six feet out of bounds. Down in the red zone,
- 26:13Speaker 10: they run a corner route to his right with a
- 26:15Speaker 10: flat China with the tight end coming back in with
- 26:17Speaker 10: a three under zone with a wide open window. Any level,
- 26:21Speaker 10: even remote level of of high quarterbacking.
- 26:24Speaker 4: Boom. You stick it on him. It's a touchdown.
- 26:27Speaker 10: I just mentioned the RPO decisions he wasn't making. He
- 26:33Speaker 10: dirts a slant arrow to begin with, and the slant
- 26:38Speaker 10: was coming wide open. You can't get a bigger window.
- 26:40Speaker 10: So he made a bad decision, and then he threw
- 26:42Speaker 10: the ball on the ground. He throws a dagger route,
- 26:44Speaker 10: a sky mail. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar isn't going to get that ball.
- 26:49Speaker 10: And so we've got a quarterback who's trying to re-
- 26:53Speaker 10: establish himself with his teammates based on the offseason that
- 26:57Speaker 10: he had. And now he's got a coach that is
- 27:01Speaker 10: pandering for him and telling... Forget what he tells the fans.
- 27:07Speaker 10: He's telling... He's saying things about his quarterback that his
- 27:12Speaker 10: team knows is not true.
- 27:14Speaker 2: That was an evisceration of that comment from Jed Fish.
- 27:18Speaker 4: And I'm with you.
- 27:19Speaker 2: I mean, it's really easy to look at the film...
- 27:22Speaker 2: and say, nah, Jed, like, you know, the incompletions were
- 27:26Speaker 2: not far off. Like, these were good throws.
- 27:29Speaker 4: Nah, man.
- 27:30Speaker 2: Nah, DeMond Williams is not playing well right now. The
- 27:34Speaker 2: stat line is, I think, deceiving, and I'm not sure,
- 27:37Speaker 2: you know, I think Hugh hit a good point there
- 27:39Speaker 2: at the very end of, like, of who he's speaking to,
- 27:41Speaker 2: because he's, in those press conference comments, you're speaking to
- 27:44Speaker 2: the fans, and I don't think fans are that dumb.
- 27:47Speaker 2: I think fans can absolutely see what DeMond Williams is
- 27:50Speaker 2: doing right now. And then, you know, other players in
- 27:54Speaker 2: the team are going to see those comments. Players on
- 27:57Speaker 2: the team are absolute. I mean, they're, you know, in
- 28:00Speaker 2: terms of knowing the offense, they're more in touch than
- 28:03Speaker 2: fans are. So players who are on the Huskies hearing that,
- 28:07Speaker 2: are certainly rolling their eyes. Jess, I don't, I don't
- 28:10Speaker 2: like any of that. I mean, this is right now.
- 28:12Speaker 2: I would love it if, if fish kind of was
- 28:15Speaker 2: maybe a little more critical of his quarterback, because now
- 28:17Speaker 2: you may get a little bit of kind of, you know,
- 28:20Speaker 2: definitely kind of, it's like how sounder players looked at
- 28:22Speaker 2: me with the donuts. I think you're going to have
- 28:24Speaker 2: other Husky players kind of looking around the room saying, really?
- 28:28Speaker 2: Like they're doing that?
- 28:29Speaker 6: Well, I mean, I think that Jed Fish's covering for
- 28:32Speaker 6: DeMond goes all the way back towards the, you know,
- 28:35Speaker 6: transfer gate NIL situation, too. He already put himself in
- 28:39Speaker 6: that position. So why wouldn't he stick to it? And
- 28:42Speaker 6: I am not defending him because I think it's gross
- 28:45Speaker 6: all around regardless. But I don't think he's going to
- 28:49Speaker 6: stray from that path. And he needs to continue to
- 28:53Speaker 6: make DeMond look like the leader. However, I agree with
- 28:56Speaker 6: you on that locker room. I thought it was going
- 28:58Speaker 6: to be split starting this season because it's like, dude,
- 29:02Speaker 6: you wanted to go. You didn't want to be here
- 29:04Speaker 6: with us. I thought that from the beginning. But Jed
- 29:07Speaker 6: completely welcomed him back in. He very much covered for
- 29:11Speaker 6: that whole fiasco. And I.
- 29:15Speaker 6: It goes back to my fundamental belief that college football
- 29:18Speaker 6: is broken in so many ways.
- 29:20Speaker 4: Right.
- 29:20Speaker 6: But I do think that he's doing what he does.
- 29:24Speaker 6: He's not going to rake him over the coals. He's
- 29:26Speaker 6: not going to do that.
- 29:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 29:27Speaker 3: And he's going to stick to the script.
- 29:29Speaker 2: I think I just would have if I was Jed,
- 29:30Speaker 2: I would have challenged a little bit more and said, yeah,
- 29:32Speaker 2: we need more out of DeMond. I don't think he's
- 29:34Speaker 2: been bad, but I think we need more out of DeMond.
- 29:37Speaker 2: But he just completely backs him there.
- 29:40Speaker 4: And I think that was.
- 29:41Speaker 2: I mean, listen, let me be upfront about this, too.
- 29:44Speaker 2: I am very much.
- 29:47Speaker 2: I don't like that DeMond Williams is on this football team.
- 29:50Speaker 2: And that's just me as a fan because... It all
- 29:52Speaker 2: comes back to the wanting to leave and then the
- 29:55Speaker 2: behavior in which he left, where he sends out that
- 29:58Speaker 2: post during the funeral service for Mia Hammond.
- 30:01Speaker 3: Yeah, that was horrible.
- 30:02Speaker 4: Yeah, and it just.
- 30:03Speaker 2: disgusting timing. And Jed Fish's wife commented on a barstool post.
- 30:07Speaker 2: And I think it's pretty clear what a lot of
- 30:10Speaker 2: people even internally thought about that, where UW players and
- 30:13Speaker 2: coaches learned about his departure during while they were at
- 30:16Speaker 2: that funeral service that he was not at. And to
- 30:19Speaker 2: do it at that point was inexcusable. And now to
- 30:23Speaker 2: compound it with these performances where you're not playing very
- 30:26Speaker 2: good football, I don't think, Yeah, I'm frustrated with DeMond Williams.
- 30:30Speaker 2: We'll ask Elise Woodward coming up at 11 o'clock about
- 30:32Speaker 2: DeMond Williams and what she's seeing from the quarterback. She
- 30:35Speaker 2: is the new voice of Husky football. She comes up
- 30:38Speaker 2: at 11 o'clock. Coming up next, Jordan Morris, the all-time
- 30:41Speaker 2: leading goal scorer in Sounder history. We'll talk with J-Mo
- 30:44Speaker 2: next on Sports Radio 93.3 KJR FM. Welcome back. Welcome back.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Jackson felt sitting in for Greg Bell today. 10 to
- 31:05Speaker 2: 12 here on sports radio and 93.3 KJR FM.
- 31:10Speaker 4: Thanks for rolling with us.
- 31:11Speaker 2: We're still got a lot of dogs talking and we
- 31:13Speaker 2: just spent some time talking about the Huskies, the Mon Williams,
- 31:16Speaker 2: Elise Woodward, voice of the Huskies, new voice of the Huskies.
- 31:20Speaker 2: of Washington football. She's going to be joining us here
- 31:23Speaker 2: in just about 15 minutes to talk more Huskies football.
- 31:27Speaker 2: We'll get to your texts and your talkbacks at the
- 31:30Speaker 2: iHeartRadio app. Push that red talkback button and you can
- 31:33Speaker 2: send us a message. We'll get to them and your
- 31:36Speaker 2: texts on the Tacoma Dodge text line. That will come
- 31:40Speaker 2: at 1130. We got Factor Fiction 1135. But You knew
- 31:45Speaker 2: that I was not going to do a two-hour radio
- 31:47Speaker 2: show today and not spend just a little bit of
- 31:51Speaker 2: time on the team that I broadcast for. That is
- 31:54Speaker 2: Seattle Sounders FC, our local soccer team. I had to
- 31:57Speaker 2: spend a few minutes here. as he is driving into
- 32:01Speaker 2: the facility for his practice here this morning. Sounders all-time
- 32:06Speaker 2: leading goal scorer Jordan Morris is joining us right now
- 32:10Speaker 2: here on KJR.
- 32:12Speaker 4: Jordan, good to have you on the show, my friend.
- 32:14Speaker 4: How are you?
- 32:16Speaker 12: Yeah, I'm good.
- 32:17Speaker 13: I'm good.
- 32:17Speaker 14: Thanks for having me.
- 32:18Speaker 2: Yeah, thanks for popping on here to the show, Jordan,
- 32:20Speaker 2: before your training today. Let's talk about the game that
- 32:24Speaker 2: you guys just had down in Los Angeles. Fourth straight draw.
- 32:29Speaker 2: That's the good news. We can kind of get into
- 32:31Speaker 2: the other side of it here in a minute. But
- 32:33Speaker 2: you get that game-winning assist. You play the whole game.
- 32:36Speaker 2: What's just overall your takeaways from the one-to-one draw you
- 32:40Speaker 2: guys had down in L.A.? Yeah, I mean.
- 32:44Speaker 14: Personally, obviously, good to get 90 minutes in. It's been
- 32:46Speaker 14: a while since, you know, obviously dealing with a lot
- 32:51Speaker 14: of injuries. So getting 90 minutes under my belt heading
- 32:54Speaker 14: into the end of the season feels good and hopefully can.
- 32:57Speaker 7: Build on that.
- 32:57Speaker 14: But, yeah, I mean, I think it was in the
- 33:00Speaker 14: end to get a tie, you know, was important. But,
- 33:05Speaker 14: you know, we feel like we should have won that game.
- 33:07Speaker 14: We feel like we should have won the last few games.
- 33:09Speaker 14: So we got to start turning these results into three points, obviously,
- 33:12Speaker 14: at this point in the season. where we are in
- 33:14Speaker 14: the standings, everyone knows kind of what we need to do. And,
- 33:19Speaker 14: you know, it's good to get a point, but these
- 33:20Speaker 14: ties need to start turning into.
- 33:22Speaker 4: Into wins.
- 33:23Speaker 14: So, um, that's our focus trying to figure out how
- 33:25Speaker 14: to do that. But, um, yeah, hopefully we can, we
- 33:27Speaker 14: can build off, off these.
- 33:29Speaker 5: Last few games.
- 33:30Speaker 2: Jordan in the locker room, how much is that weighing
- 33:32Speaker 2: on you guys? 12 MLS games without a win. Obviously
- 33:35Speaker 2: you had a league's cup win in the middle of that, but, uh,
- 33:39Speaker 2: is that kind of starting to, to have some weight that, uh,
- 33:42Speaker 2: we aren't getting the three point games?
- 33:45Speaker 14: Uh, yes and no, I would say, yeah. I mean,
- 33:48Speaker 14: we understand where we are and, um, that obviously we're
- 33:52Speaker 14: not in the playoffs right now. We need to get
- 33:54Speaker 14: some results to push ourselves back into the playoff picture.
- 33:59Speaker 14: I think for us to still be in the picture
- 34:04Speaker 14: with not having won in 12 games, you know, shows
- 34:06Speaker 14: how well we started the season and shows what we
- 34:08Speaker 14: are capable of.
- 34:09Speaker 4: So we got to try to.
- 34:11Speaker 14: Have that kind of confidence to know that, we can
- 34:15Speaker 14: get back to winning games and we have an experienced
- 34:17Speaker 14: team we've been in these situations before you know you
- 34:19Speaker 14: point to 2016 you point to other years where we're
- 34:21Speaker 14: not having our best seasons and then you know it's
- 34:23Speaker 14: all about just getting into the playoffs and we're a
- 34:25Speaker 14: dangerous team when we get into those tournament formats we
- 34:28Speaker 14: we know how to play we know how to kind
- 34:30Speaker 14: of have that experience group in those moments so we
- 34:32Speaker 14: know we just got to get into the playoffs and
- 34:34Speaker 14: then Anything can happen, and.
- 34:36Speaker 4: We still have that confidence.
- 34:37Speaker 14: But yeah, I'd be lying if I'd say it doesn't
- 34:39Speaker 14: weigh on you a bit. 12 games is a long
- 34:42Speaker 14: time without a win, so we've got to get it sorted.
- 34:44Speaker 4: Yeah, I imagine so.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Jordan Morris with us, Sounders winger and forward, all-time leading
- 34:49Speaker 2: goal scorer for the Rave Green. Joining us here on KJR,
- 34:52Speaker 2: Jackson Feltz filling in for Greg Bell. Jordan, you're obviously
- 34:56Speaker 2: playing alongside a new forward in Dejan Jovovic. The team
- 35:00Speaker 2: spent $ 6 million yesterday. to bring him over from Kansas City.
- 35:04Speaker 2: What's it been like playing right next to and alongside
- 35:07Speaker 2: and making runs off of quite a different and talented
- 35:11Speaker 2: forward you guys now have?
- 35:14Speaker 14: Yeah, I mean, Decky, he's a great player. Obviously, we've
- 35:17Speaker 14: played against him for a long time when he was
- 35:20Speaker 14: in L.A. and in Kansas City. And, you know, he
- 35:24Speaker 14: scored some goals against us. I think we all remember
- 35:26Speaker 14: the 20, you know, 2024.
- 35:27Speaker 4: We gave him some.
- 35:31Speaker 14: Some hard times for that when he came in, but
- 35:34Speaker 14: he's a great forward. You saw what he could do, obviously,
- 35:37Speaker 14: in that first game, his ability to finish inside the box,
- 35:39Speaker 14: just his movement on that first goal, just a typical
- 35:43Speaker 14: number nine. And he's in the right spots. Yeah, clinical
- 35:48Speaker 14: in front of goal. He's a great guy, a hard worker.
- 35:50Speaker 14: And he wants to win. He came here because he
- 35:53Speaker 14: wants to.
- 35:53Speaker 7: Win, right?
- 35:54Speaker 14: So everyone in the locker room is aligned on our
- 35:57Speaker 14: goal and having a player like that come in is
- 36:00Speaker 14: only going to help.
- 36:01Speaker 4: And yeah, playing alongside him is great.
- 36:03Speaker 14: I mean, he takes a lot of the attention of
- 36:05Speaker 14: the center backs because he drops in underneath so well
- 36:08Speaker 14: and can hold the ball up so well and allows for,
- 36:10Speaker 14: you know, wingers or tens to get on the ball
- 36:12Speaker 14: and wingers to run in behind. So he's not only
- 36:16Speaker 14: a great player for himself, but obviously he helps the
- 36:17Speaker 14: guys around him and we're really excited to have him.
- 36:20Speaker 2: Jordy's obviously a chess master. I know you guys have
- 36:23Speaker 2: a chess board there in Longacres, your clubhouse. Has anybody
- 36:28Speaker 2: challenged him yet to a chess game?
- 36:31Speaker 14: I think, I think Danny Mussofsky is, is really, I
- 36:35Speaker 14: know he's really good at chess and I think he's
- 36:37Speaker 14: kind of like the closest, you know, they have that
- 36:39Speaker 14: chess app and they do rankings on there. I think
- 36:42Speaker 14: he's like the closest, um, ranked suit to, to Decky.
- 36:46Speaker 14: And I don't, I don't know a bunch about chess.
- 36:49Speaker 14: You know, I play very, very little, but I think
- 36:52Speaker 14: they're the closest, but I do think, uh, Decky's, uh,
- 36:55Speaker 14: kind of in a league of his own from, from
- 36:56Speaker 14: what I understand. So, We'll see if anyone can take
- 36:59Speaker 14: him down.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Jordan Morris with the Sounders, Winger and Ford.
- 37:02Speaker 4: One more here for you, Jordan.
- 37:03Speaker 2: I got to talk to you about your foundation because
- 37:06Speaker 2: we have Ian Furness doing our 12 to 3 show
- 37:08Speaker 2: here on KJR. And he does such great work with
- 37:12Speaker 2: the mayor of Maple Valley Open, with the mayor beer
- 37:14Speaker 2: at Georgetown Brewery, benefiting so many great things, including your foundation.
- 37:20Speaker 2: And I always love hearing the work that you're doing
- 37:24Speaker 2: with your foundation, the camps that you run. And what
- 37:27Speaker 2: you do with kids at every single game, home or away,
- 37:32Speaker 2: just again, the work that you do with your foundation
- 37:34Speaker 2: is very inspiring, my friend.
- 37:37Speaker 14: Thank you so much.
- 37:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I appreciate it. And no, it's inspiring for me
- 37:42Speaker 4: as well.
- 37:42Speaker 14: Obviously, Ian's a huge supporter of the foundation and super
- 37:46Speaker 14: grateful for all his support. But yeah, it's been an
- 37:50Speaker 14: awesome ride so far with the foundation. We just had
- 37:52Speaker 14: our annual soccer camp, um, that we host out at
- 37:55Speaker 14: Preston at my old, uh, stomping grounds out where I played,
- 37:58Speaker 14: played at Eastside when I was growing up. And we
- 38:00Speaker 14: have about a hundred, you know, type one kids out
- 38:03Speaker 14: there to have a fun day.
- 38:04Speaker 4: So, um, it's been an awesome ride.
- 38:05Speaker 14: And again, appreciate, appreciate the kind words and all the
- 38:08Speaker 14: support that, that, uh, that Ian and, and everyone gives us.
- 38:11Speaker 4: It's, it's been great so far.
- 38:12Speaker 2: I would tell everybody, uh, if you know, or if
- 38:15Speaker 2: you have any kid with type one diabetes, www.jordanmorrisfoundation.com. Um,
- 38:22Speaker 2: Jordan's foundation does really, really amazing work with kids living
- 38:26Speaker 2: with type one diabetes. Jordan, great job with that. Great
- 38:30Speaker 2: job with the game tying assist you had in Los Angeles.
- 38:33Speaker 2: I'll let you get in the facility, get to work
- 38:35Speaker 2: training today, and we'll see you guys back in action
- 38:38Speaker 2: against Colorado this Saturday. Thanks so much for the visit.
- 38:41Speaker 13: Awesome.
- 38:42Speaker 7: Thanks, man.
- 38:42Speaker 4: Appreciate it. Thanks, Jordan.
- 38:44Speaker 2: Jordan Morris there. Sounders all-time leading goal scorer. The Sounders
- 38:48Speaker 2: winger and forward. The Sounders now have Colorado coming up
- 38:52Speaker 2: on the road this Saturday. That match is going to
- 38:55Speaker 2: be over on our iHeartRadio Seattle Soccer Radio stream channel
- 38:58Speaker 2: if you want to listen to that.
- 39:00Speaker 4: The game starts at 6.30 this Saturday.
- 39:02Speaker 2: And yeah, 12 straight games in MLS action without a win.
- 39:06Speaker 2: But hey, they haven't also lost in a month, a
- 39:09Speaker 2: four straight draw. So glass half full, glass half empty,
- 39:12Speaker 2: however you want to look at it. Sounders were looking
- 39:15Speaker 2: for their first win in quite a long time coming
- 39:18Speaker 2: up this Saturday.
- 39:19Speaker 4: We'll get a break here on KJR.
- 39:20Speaker 2: We'll come back and let's turn our attention back to
- 39:23Speaker 2: University of Washington football. The new voice of the dogs,
- 39:27Speaker 2: Elyse Woodward. She took over for Tony Castricone, who's now
- 39:31Speaker 2: in Tampa Bay with the Buccaneers. Elyse will join us next.
- 39:35Speaker 2: And we got to get into all the issues right
- 39:38Speaker 2: now with the Huskies offense.
- 39:40Speaker 4: And there are a number of them. So Elise Woodward
- 39:43Speaker 4: will join us next.
- 39:44Speaker 2: We'll get to your texts and your talkbacks on the
- 39:46Speaker 2: iHeartRadio app at 1130. A lot to get to here.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Jackson Feltz in for Greg Bell. Sports Radio 93.3 KJR FM.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Now from the star rental sports desk, your 93.3 KJR
- 40:05Speaker 1: FM sports.
- 40:06Speaker 4: Headlines, 11 a.m.
- 40:08Speaker 2: Headlines brought to you by frost brewed Coors light cold
- 40:12Speaker 2: as the Rockies. Jackson felt sitting in for Greg bell today,
- 40:16Speaker 2: taking you all the way up to Inferness at noon.
- 40:19Speaker 2: Sam Donald officially ruled out for this weekend. Seahawks game
- 40:22Speaker 2: against the Cardinals. He has a quote, very unique, a
- 40:25Speaker 2: soft tissue injury. His hip joint is unaffected. It is
- 40:29Speaker 2: a short term injury. No timeline yet for his recovery.
- 40:33Speaker 2: I think Mike McDonald should speak tomorrow more on that.
- 40:37Speaker 2: Monday Night Football last night, Chiefs-Broncos. Ooh, blowout for Denver.
- 40:42Speaker 2: Kansas City wins 31-10. The story from the game, though,
- 40:46Speaker 2: is our former Super Bowl MVP, Kenneth Walker. What a
- 40:48Speaker 2: game he had. A couple touchdowns, almost 200 yards all-purpose.
- 40:53Speaker 14: Mariners.
- 40:55Speaker 4: Just continue to losing when they shouldn't. They're done, in
- 40:58Speaker 4: my opinion.
- 40:59Speaker 2: Now five out of the West, five and a half
- 41:01Speaker 2: out of the West, six back in the wild card.
- 41:03Speaker 2: That comes after a six to four loss to the
- 41:06Speaker 2: Angels last night. For the Huskies, they are coming off
- 41:10Speaker 2: of a very narrow win against Utah State. Eastern Washington
- 41:14Speaker 2: coming up at 415 this Saturday. Why don't we talk
- 41:17Speaker 2: some dogs with the new voice of Huskies football?
- 41:24Speaker 4: Roster house takes.
- 41:25Speaker 6: The snap rolls out to his left at the left
- 41:28Speaker 6: hash lets it fly towards the end zone in the
- 41:31Speaker 6: air jump.
- 41:32Speaker 9: Ball and it is intercepted Washington has it it is
- 41:36Speaker 9: Clark to the 25 to the 30 he's got a
- 41:39Speaker 9: blocker in front.
- 41:40Speaker 10: At midfield.
- 41:43Speaker 4: He wants to.
- 41:45Speaker 8: Take it, and he's going to go down at the
- 41:47Speaker 8: 40-yard line.
- 41:48Speaker 3: And it is a done deal.
- 41:50Speaker 2: Well, there she is, the new voice of the University
- 41:54Speaker 2: of Washington football team, Elyse Woodward. This is a conversation
- 42:00Speaker 2: I've been looking forward to for a long time, a
- 42:02Speaker 2: conversation really honestly interesting.
- 42:04Speaker 4: 15 years in the making.
- 42:07Speaker 2: When I stepped foot for the first time into this building,
- 42:10Speaker 2: it was for a job shadow, and I sat in
- 42:12Speaker 2: front of Mike Gastineau and this woman, Elise Woodward, for
- 42:16Speaker 2: four hours on Valentine's Day 2012. learned how the business works.
- 42:22Speaker 2: And now almost 15 years later, here we are, Elise,
- 42:26Speaker 2: you're the voice of the dogs. I'm doing this show today,
- 42:29Speaker 2: filling in for Greg Bell. What a amazing 15 years
- 42:34Speaker 2: and journey it has been. It's great to have you
- 42:36Speaker 2: on today.
- 42:38Speaker 8: Oh, thank you. I cannot believe that it's been 15 years.
- 42:41Speaker 8: I don't know how that is possible because I still
- 42:44Speaker 8: think of you as, like, perpetually 21 years old. You're
- 42:48Speaker 8: still not a teenager, like, an intern, like, coming into
- 42:53Speaker 8: job shadow. I mean, Lynn Sanity? Come on, Jackson. Come on. Oh,
- 42:58Speaker 8: my God. I've never felt so old.
- 43:01Speaker 13: Come on.
- 43:04Speaker 2: Don't please do not. I don't want to start off
- 43:06Speaker 2: that interview this way. No, Lisa, it's an absolute pleasure
- 43:10Speaker 2: to have you on. You're doing a great job as
- 43:12Speaker 2: the new voice of the dogs taking over for Tony Castricone,
- 43:16Speaker 2: who's now in Tampa Bay with the Buccaneers. What's it
- 43:19Speaker 2: been like? First two games, two dog wins. I think
- 43:23Speaker 2: not the way we all thought they might have gone.
- 43:26Speaker 2: But how is your job and your work been as
- 43:30Speaker 2: the new voice of the Huskies football team?
- 43:33Speaker 8: Yeah, no, I mean, I think for everybody, right? I
- 43:35Speaker 8: wish I was calling 10 touchdowns a game. That would
- 43:38Speaker 8: be great, but the actual job part has been great.
- 43:43Speaker 8: It's such an honor to be the voice, and it's
- 43:48Speaker 8: been so much fun so far, and I think, like anything,
- 43:52Speaker 8: you'll get settled. Hopefully, I'll get a little bit settled in,
- 43:54Speaker 8: you know, week three coming up, and, you Eastern Washington
- 43:59Speaker 8: coming in. So that'll be good. But yeah, I think
- 44:02Speaker 8: in terms of the dogs, it's been a grind so
- 44:04Speaker 8: far and I feel bad. Their injuries are just piling
- 44:07Speaker 8: up at, uh, you know, probably the two spots that
- 44:10Speaker 8: you had the most concern and question marks.
- 44:12Speaker 13: Because they didn't have a lot of returning.
- 44:14Speaker 8: Production in the running back room and in the wide
- 44:16Speaker 8: receiving room. And now they're all banged up. It's that
- 44:20Speaker 8: part of it is a concern and they're going to
- 44:21Speaker 8: have to figure out how to, you know, put points
- 44:24Speaker 8: on the board. But, um, For me personally, being able
- 44:29Speaker 8: to sit there and say touchdown Washington, what a thrill.
- 44:33Speaker 2: You obviously stepped in for a couple games a while back,
- 44:36Speaker 2: but now that you are the full-time voice, have there
- 44:39Speaker 2: been any surprises or quirks or anything that you've picked
- 44:43Speaker 2: up in these couple weeks that maybe you're joyously happy
- 44:47Speaker 2: popped into the situation or even kind of the other
- 44:51Speaker 2: way around?
- 44:53Speaker 8: Well, I tell you, I had a scare last week
- 44:55Speaker 8: because I'm used to a producer in my ear being like, okay, break, break,
- 44:59Speaker 8: and all these things. And I took a break, and
- 45:01Speaker 8: it wasn't a TV timeout. It was just a team timeout,
- 45:04Speaker 8: and they came back really quickly.
- 45:07Speaker 13: And I learned my lesson. You never break.
- 45:09Speaker 8: Never break on these radio broadcasts without the red hat
- 45:13Speaker 8: being out, which is minutia for most people. But these
- 45:16Speaker 8: are kind of little things that, you know, you just
- 45:18Speaker 8: got to figure out as the season goes on. But
- 45:21Speaker 8: I was really lucky. to be able to fill in
- 45:24Speaker 8: for Tony when he was on paternity leave because it is,
- 45:27Speaker 8: I mean, you are way up high and you are
- 45:29Speaker 8: way back in the radio booth because Husky Stadium is
- 45:32Speaker 8: so big. And so it's a vantage point that it
- 45:38Speaker 8: is unique to Husky Stadium. And so I was really
- 45:41Speaker 8: glad that I'd already had that experience. And for most
- 45:47Speaker 8: of training camp this year, they practiced out on the
- 45:50Speaker 8: practice field. They don't do a lot inside Husky Stadium.
- 45:53Speaker 8: So just to get used to that vantage point using
- 45:56Speaker 8: binoculars and all those things. Yeah, I was glad that
- 46:00Speaker 8: I had that experience previously because it is unique for sure.
- 46:04Speaker 2: Elise, I can ask this because I'm his producer. How
- 46:07Speaker 2: annoying has Softie been as your sideline reporter?
- 46:13Speaker 8: As annoying as we all love soccer for. That guy,
- 46:19Speaker 8: I think he's going to combust at some point. He's
- 46:22Speaker 8: just going to turn around and all of a sudden
- 46:28Speaker 8: just shatter into dust or something. I swear to God.
- 46:33Speaker 8: The other day, he's at the stadium at 9 a.m.
- 46:38Speaker 13: It was a normal kickoff.
- 46:40Speaker 8: I'm like, Softie man, before you come on the game broadcast,
- 46:43Speaker 8: I need you to go get a sandwich, you know,
- 46:46Speaker 8: use the restroom.
- 46:48Speaker 13: Take a break, breathe for a minute.
- 46:51Speaker 8: And like, then come down to the sideline because like,
- 46:54Speaker 8: you're going to, I'm like, how does he do it?
- 46:57Speaker 13: That guy's a, I mean, he literally is.
- 46:59Speaker 8: His own version of a freak show. That guy, he
- 47:02Speaker 8: doesn't get tired. He never burns out. He's, he's insane. Like,
- 47:06Speaker 8: We all know he's insane, but in all honesty, that
- 47:10Speaker 8: guy works as hard as anybody ever. And he's crazy
- 47:13Speaker 8: passionate with energy that is like, he should really be
- 47:18Speaker 8: selling energy drinks, shouldn't he?
- 47:20Speaker 2: Yeah, he really should. Insane is a great word for him.
- 47:23Speaker 2: But I tell you what, the one time I told
- 47:26Speaker 2: Softie to calm down, it was my first year producing
- 47:28Speaker 2: for him about seven years ago. He nearly punched me
- 47:31Speaker 2: in the face. So I knew way back when, in
- 47:34Speaker 2: about 2019, never tell Softie to calm down.
- 47:37Speaker 4: So there you go. I'm sure you already know that, though.
- 47:41Speaker 2: Elyse Woodward with us, voice of the Huskies. Jackson Feltz
- 47:45Speaker 2: filling in for Greg Bell here on Sports Radio 93.3
- 47:47Speaker 2: KJR FM.
- 47:47Speaker 4: All right, Elyse.
- 47:50Speaker 2: There's a lot to talk about with this team. You
- 47:52Speaker 2: mentioned the injuries, and obviously on the offensive end, that
- 47:56Speaker 2: is where we really have to start and talk about
- 47:59Speaker 2: because this offense is not at all what we hoped
- 48:02Speaker 2: it would be. Part of that is the injuries. Part
- 48:05Speaker 2: of that is just the production. I guess the first
- 48:08Speaker 2: question is about DeMond Williams. We spent some time earlier
- 48:11Speaker 2: in the show talking about him. and his struggles. Where
- 48:15Speaker 2: is demand in your eyes right now? Is it something
- 48:18Speaker 2: that he's right now doing himself? Is it something that
- 48:21Speaker 2: the offense isn't doing around him that's leading to this
- 48:24Speaker 2: poor production?
- 48:26Speaker 8: Well, I don't really actually think DeMond is the issue
- 48:30Speaker 8: at all. I think that it has been around him
- 48:33Speaker 8: where DeMond has thrown some nights, but he hasn't been
- 48:35Speaker 8: perfect by any stretch of the imagination. It's taken a
- 48:39Speaker 8: while for him in the first quarter against Utah State.
- 48:42Speaker 8: After the first quarter, he was fine. How much do
- 48:45Speaker 8: you get confidence when you complete the little ones that
- 48:48Speaker 8: go for big yards?
- 48:49Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 48:51Speaker 8: Boy, the drops have certainly been an issue here early
- 48:53Speaker 8: in this season. And for Des Roebuck, Des Roebuck was
- 48:56Speaker 8: a freshman All-American. I really do not recall him dropping.
- 48:59Speaker 13: A pass all of last season.
- 49:01Speaker 8: And he had the two drops against Utah State. I
- 49:04Speaker 8: believe in the law of averages. That means that that
- 49:06Speaker 8: kid will never drop a pass again the rest of
- 49:07Speaker 8: the season. But that certainly, if you're a quarterback, that
- 49:10Speaker 8: just takes all the momentum away from your offense. And
- 49:13Speaker 8: Trey Cooley had a drop. Ryan Bonner fumbled the exchange.
- 49:16Speaker 8: There's just these little tiny things for Washington right now
- 49:20Speaker 8: that are absolutely shooting them in the foot. And those
- 49:23Speaker 8: are two touchdowns that would have been on the board.
- 49:26Speaker 8: And then once you get that momentum, how much then
- 49:30Speaker 8: does Utah State have to panic and have to start
- 49:32Speaker 8: throwing and become one-dimensional? All the things that we know
- 49:35Speaker 8: in football. But if you cannot complete... the little things
- 49:40Speaker 8: that are the automatics in the offense, you certainly don't
- 49:43Speaker 8: have confidence that you can do the hard things. So
- 49:45Speaker 8: I think right now for Washington, it's just a matter
- 49:47Speaker 8: of getting everybody to quit squeezing the bat so hard.
- 49:52Speaker 8: You've seen that with the Mariners, right?
- 49:53Speaker 13: You are trying so hard.
- 49:55Speaker 8: You're squeezing the bat so freaking tight that you cannot
- 49:59Speaker 8: just play your game and just relax and go into it.
- 50:01Speaker 8: So I think that's for the Husky offense. But shoot,
- 50:05Speaker 8: the Husky defenses, On that side of the ball, they
- 50:08Speaker 8: need all kinds of credit. They have played fantastic. There
- 50:11Speaker 8: was one broken play, the 78-yard touchdown. I mean, they've
- 50:17Speaker 8: been fantastic so far.
- 50:19Speaker 2: They have, and I think that the defense is where
- 50:21Speaker 2: we can also talk about here in a little bit.
- 50:23Speaker 2: Staying with the offense for a minute, though, I mean,
- 50:25Speaker 2: you mentioned how DeMond isn't the issue, and the drop
- 50:27Speaker 2: passes are clearly hurting this team. Cooley, that is, as
- 50:30Speaker 2: you mentioned, it's such an obvious touchdown if he brings
- 50:33Speaker 2: that ball in. Roebuck, so unlike him. I wonder, Elise,
- 50:38Speaker 2: the running game and the absence of a running game
- 50:40Speaker 2: because of the injuries, maybe because of the offensive line play.
- 50:43Speaker 2: In fact, there's a question right there that we'll start
- 50:45Speaker 2: with is, how much of the failure in the running
- 50:48Speaker 2: game is simply the injuries and how, you know, Quade Carr,
- 50:51Speaker 2: who I thought going into the season was going to
- 50:53Speaker 2: be a really strong point at running back. And now
- 50:56Speaker 2: you're on your third and fourth guys who just aren't
- 50:58Speaker 2: the same versus an offensive line that may need to
- 51:02Speaker 2: continue to grow a little bit with a, you know,
- 51:06Speaker 2: 18 year old left tackle.
- 51:09Speaker 8: Yeah, I think it's a combination of both. I think
- 51:11Speaker 8: that the offensive line is, when healthy is going to
- 51:15Speaker 8: like come together i think without landon hatchett he's their
- 51:18Speaker 8: two-time captain ton of experience um you know two-time captain
- 51:23Speaker 8: on the offensive line at the center spot you're having
- 51:25Speaker 8: a guy that's never been there to you make the
- 51:28Speaker 8: call to the line of scrimmage and he's a really
- 51:31Speaker 8: good player but he's a tackle he's never snapped until
- 51:34Speaker 8: this season and that's they're filling that spot until Lanny
- 51:37Speaker 8: comes back. And, you know, that clearly has not been
- 51:40Speaker 8: as rhythmic as they had hoped for for the entire
- 51:44Speaker 8: offensive line. You also had two inexperienced guys where Cody
- 51:48Speaker 8: Green is a phenomenal talent. They love him.
- 51:51Speaker 13: But he's 18.
- 51:52Speaker 8: Years old making his first start at left tackle. And
- 51:56Speaker 8: so there's going to be anything you've ever done in
- 51:59Speaker 8: your entire life You start off, and you have to
- 52:03Speaker 8: get the feel for it, the lay of the land,
- 52:06Speaker 8: the experience, all of those things, the adrenaline out. I
- 52:09Speaker 8: don't like to say nerves because that has such a
- 52:12Speaker 8: negative connotation, but you're talking about a left tackle who's
- 52:16Speaker 8: going to be great and has all the signs and
- 52:19Speaker 8: was challenged by that Husky defense all fall training camp,
- 52:23Speaker 8: and they love what he was able to do.
- 52:25Speaker 13: He's going to.
- 52:26Speaker 8: Be just fine, but him and then a center make
- 52:30Speaker 8: it his first starts And then, you know, your right
- 52:32Speaker 8: guard champ, Tal Leolea, making his first start, had a
- 52:35Speaker 8: couple penalties. Like, they just have not found their rhythm yet.
- 52:40Speaker 8: They need to come together and start, you know, as
- 52:42Speaker 8: we all know with the offensive line, five is one. And,
- 52:45Speaker 8: you know, coming together, all of them collectively together need
- 52:49Speaker 8: to be better together. And I think that the penalty
- 52:53Speaker 8: issues from week one to week two improved dramatically.
- 52:56Speaker 13: That was good.
- 52:56Speaker 8: And so now I think this week I would love
- 53:00Speaker 8: for them to just settle in, get some early scores.
- 53:03Speaker 8: I think one of the major issues for Washington's offense
- 53:07Speaker 8: is their scripted plays and their first drives have been
- 53:10Speaker 8: wildly inefficient. They have had four drives to start half, four,
- 53:16Speaker 8: and they have gone three and out on each of them.
- 53:19Speaker 13: That is unlike.
- 53:20Speaker 8: The red zone issues have bit them. Last year, they
- 53:25Speaker 8: were a team that had 54 trips to the red
- 53:28Speaker 8: zone last year, and they scored 50 of them. And
- 53:32Speaker 8: 41 were touchdowns. So they were scoring touchdown rate of 75%
- 53:37Speaker 8: last year. This year, I think it's like 40%. It's
- 53:40Speaker 8: just dramatically, and it's a small sample size, but it's
- 53:44Speaker 8: also against competition. You'd expect it to be even higher,
- 53:47Speaker 8: like around 90%. So there's a couple of things for them. One,
- 53:51Speaker 8: they need to start much faster. They're scripted plays. They've
- 53:55Speaker 8: got to find rhythm earlier. They need to make the
- 53:59Speaker 8: simple plays first before trying to, you know, make the
- 54:02Speaker 8: big ones. And, you know, I don't think that they're
- 54:08Speaker 8: a team that doesn't have potential to be good. They've
- 54:10Speaker 8: got wildly talented kids that are young. And so it's
- 54:15Speaker 8: just going to take some time. But when it clicks
- 54:17Speaker 8: in for them, And if it clicks in, when it
- 54:20Speaker 8: clicks in, we just don't know when that's going to be.
- 54:22Speaker 2: Well, Elyse, how much, and by the way, Elyse Woodward,
- 54:25Speaker 2: new voice of the Washington Huskies football team here on KJR,
- 54:29Speaker 2: joining us here on 93.3 KJR FM. Jackson Feltz sitting
- 54:32Speaker 2: in for Greg Bell today. How much of that, and
- 54:35Speaker 2: you mentioned that's a great stat there, the three and
- 54:37Speaker 2: outs coming out of the halves. the start of the halves,
- 54:39Speaker 2: how much of that is the coordinator change? Because we
- 54:42Speaker 2: see down in Oregon, right? And everything's the Oregon ducks
- 54:45Speaker 2: are going to be some monster. They go through coordinator
- 54:48Speaker 2: changes and they look horrible. I mean, just obviously Boise
- 54:52Speaker 2: state could be a good football team, but that was
- 54:54Speaker 2: nearly a loss. And then you get run by a
- 54:56Speaker 2: bad Oklahoma state team that had just lost a Tulsa
- 55:00Speaker 2: and UW also going through an offensive coordinator change. You
- 55:03Speaker 2: imagine Boise, That's also part of the equation, trying to
- 55:07Speaker 2: pick up and change an offense and get the ball
- 55:09Speaker 2: rolling for a young, young group with a new man
- 55:13Speaker 2: in charge.
- 55:16Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean, I think that part is certainly interesting. Look,
- 55:19Speaker 8: college football is wild. I think that the parity is
- 55:22Speaker 8: like something we did not know how the NIL would
- 55:25Speaker 8: change things, rep, share, all of that. We didn't know
- 55:28Speaker 8: if it was going to be real top-heavy teams where
- 55:30Speaker 8: there's 10 really good teams and then You know, we're
- 55:34Speaker 8: 12 with the football playoff and then everybody else is
- 55:36Speaker 8: fighting for scratch. I think it's done the opposite effect
- 55:38Speaker 8: where it seems as if there's more parity than ever,
- 55:41Speaker 8: where Western Michigan almost knocks off Michigan in the big house.
- 55:46Speaker 8: You've seen like Oklahoma State has lost 12 in a row,
- 55:49Speaker 8: beat Oregon.
- 55:49Speaker 13: I mean, these things.
- 55:52Speaker 8: This has happened in across college football. The parody has been,
- 55:55Speaker 8: I think, really entertaining where we thought it might go
- 55:57Speaker 8: the other way. Small sample size, we'll see as the
- 56:00Speaker 8: season continues. But I think for Washington, specifically in terms
- 56:04Speaker 8: of the offensive coordinator, Jet Fish has always called the play.
- 56:07Speaker 13: He's done it 15 years in a row.
- 56:09Speaker 8: That's what he has done. So the fact that Jimmy
- 56:11Speaker 8: Doherty is not.
- 56:12Speaker 13: There, it's not new.
- 56:13Speaker 8: He always called the plays. There was a buffer, though.
- 56:17Speaker 8: But I'll tell you right now, last year with DeMond
- 56:19Speaker 8: and the year before, it was always Jed Fish going
- 56:22Speaker 8: up to talk to DeMond in between possessions with the iPad,
- 56:27Speaker 8: working things through.
- 56:28Speaker 13: That's the same.
- 56:29Speaker 8: Chain of command that we've always seen. There was a
- 56:32Speaker 8: buffer in Jimmy Doherty, of course, and there were other
- 56:35Speaker 8: things that could help lighten the load. But I don't
- 56:40Speaker 8: think that is any reason, in my opinion right now,
- 56:44Speaker 8: either you believe that you're a head coach and he's
- 56:47Speaker 8: the only one in the Big Ten that is calling plays.
- 56:50Speaker 13: As the offensive coordinator.
- 56:52Speaker 8: To me, it's just a fundamental thing. Either you think
- 56:55Speaker 8: that an offensive coordinator should never be head coach or
- 56:58Speaker 8: you believe that it's an advantage that he has a
- 57:00Speaker 8: tight relationship with his quarterback. That's the issue. I don't
- 57:04Speaker 8: think it's specifically like it.
- 57:05Speaker 13: Worked last year.
- 57:06Speaker 8: The formula hasn't changed significantly, in my opinion. So it's
- 57:10Speaker 8: either going to work or it's not in terms of
- 57:11Speaker 8: Jed Fish as the offensive coordinator with the Hawks.
- 57:13Speaker 2: A couple more here for Elyse Woodward, new voice of
- 57:16Speaker 2: the Washington Huskies football team here on KJR. Elyse, you
- 57:20Speaker 2: mentioned the defense, and that has been one of the
- 57:22Speaker 2: positive sides of the defense so far. Ten points given
- 57:25Speaker 2: up to Washington State, 14 to Utah State.
- 57:28Speaker 4: It would expect.
- 57:30Speaker 2: Hopefully another strong performance against Eastern Washington coming up this Saturday.
- 57:34Speaker 2: That will have a 4-15 kickoff right here on 93.3
- 57:38Speaker 2: KJR FM. Your impressions of what has been, so far,
- 57:43Speaker 2: the strong side of this team?
- 57:46Speaker 8: Yeah, there's been a lot of different guys that have
- 57:50Speaker 8: stepped up that I've not looked Like, they could be stars.
- 57:55Speaker 8: And one of them, obviously, established in Alex McLaughlin. He
- 57:57Speaker 8: played phenomenally with the two sacks, his interception. I mean,
- 58:01Speaker 8: he just ripped it away from Utah State's receiver. That
- 58:04Speaker 8: was anybody's 50-50 ball. And that's a play, like, literally,
- 58:08Speaker 8: Alex just wanted it more and just ripped it away.
- 58:12Speaker 8: And it took it away from the interception. It was
- 58:14Speaker 8: a huge play. That guy is so smart.
- 58:16Speaker 13: He's so instinctual.
- 58:18Speaker 8: He reads the plays. It reminds me for a long time,
- 58:20Speaker 8: Seahawks fans of both of the two back in the day,
- 58:22Speaker 8: who was a linebacker, but Alex knows and diagnoses early
- 58:26Speaker 8: the plays of what he's asked to do. He's got
- 58:28Speaker 8: football savvy and I love it. So what a great
- 58:32Speaker 8: leader for that defense. And he's had picks now in
- 58:34Speaker 8: back-to-back weeks, which.
- 58:36Speaker 13: Have been big for the defense.
- 58:37Speaker 8: And he was the guy, you know, that he makes
- 58:39Speaker 8: the late interception and he slides down and, you know,
- 58:42Speaker 8: that was a smart play. Some say he might have
- 58:44Speaker 8: slid down too early, but, you know, to me, that's
- 58:48Speaker 8: the time and score play that you need, right? But, like,
- 58:51Speaker 8: I'll tell you, Derek Coleman-Brusa, the true freshman out of
- 58:54Speaker 8: Kennedy Catholic, this guy is a beast. The play that
- 59:00Speaker 8: he made in special teams solo in space as a 6'5,
- 59:03Speaker 8: 295-pound guy to slide down and make a solo tackle
- 59:08Speaker 8: on a punt returner, that was incredible. He is a
- 59:12Speaker 8: star in the making. And I think Ramzak Fruin, the
- 59:16Speaker 8: other true freshman on the edge, a kid from Bethel
- 59:18Speaker 8: who grew up in Hawaii, Ramzak Fruin is, I mean,
- 59:23Speaker 8: he plays with so much energy.
- 59:25Speaker 13: And so much just aggressiveness.
- 59:29Speaker 8: He's is going to be a star in the making.
- 59:31Speaker 8: And these guys are already making huge plays as 18-year-olds
- 59:36Speaker 8: in G1 football. So that side of the ball has
- 59:39Speaker 8: been great. I love their depth on the defensive line.
- 59:43Speaker 8: Ty McClendon got his first start. That guy is massive
- 59:47Speaker 8: at 325 pounds to transfer.
- 59:49Speaker 13: From Mississippi State.
- 59:50Speaker 8: They didn't have Elenia Davis, but we'll probably miss some
- 59:54Speaker 8: time now with a calf injury.
- 59:56Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 59:56Speaker 8: You know, hopefully get him back from Minnesota. But they
- 59:58Speaker 8: had enough depth with, you know, Darian Conley, number 33
- 1:00:01Speaker 8: in the middle. I think he's given them some really
- 1:00:04Speaker 8: good snaps. So I just think their defense, all over
- 1:00:08Speaker 8: the place, you've got guys in every– and the linebackers,
- 1:00:11Speaker 8: that's the best, you know, that's the best part of
- 1:00:13Speaker 8: their defense, the heart of their defense. So I think
- 1:00:15Speaker 8: for the defense, every single level has depth. Every single
- 1:00:20Speaker 8: level has depth. that are potential stars, if not already.
- 1:00:25Speaker 8: So that part, they might have to lean on that
- 1:00:29Speaker 8: defense until their offensive line gets right, until their running
- 1:00:34Speaker 8: backs get settled in, moving up the depth chart. Other
- 1:00:38Speaker 8: wide receivers as well, they're having to go to the
- 1:00:41Speaker 8: depth with freshmen there. So the good news for them
- 1:00:45Speaker 8: is they've got a ton of depth, and they look
- 1:00:48Speaker 8: like they're ready to carry this team.
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: Elise, have an awesome call coming up on Saturday at
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: 4.15 against Eastern. I hope you do get to call
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: 10 touchdowns for the Husky offense, maybe a couple more
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: for the Husky defense. Let's finally see that blowout win
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: we've been hoping for this Saturday.
- 1:01:04Speaker 8: That would be outstanding.
- 1:01:06Speaker 13: I'm ready for it. I'm here for it.
- 1:01:07Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: So am I. Have a great call, Elise.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: Again, it's been so many years, 15 years since I
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: first stepped in front of you and shook your hand
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: as a job shadow here at KJR. It's just a
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: thrill to have you here on the show today.
- 1:01:24Speaker 8: Look at you. You're perpetually 20 in my mind, Jackson.
- 1:01:28Speaker 8: Don't ever change. Don't ever grow up.
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: I'll attempt not to. Elyse, all the best. Have a
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: great call on Saturday. Thank you for your few minutes today.
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: Thanks.
- 1:01:38Speaker 8: Appreciate you, Jackson.
- 1:01:38Speaker 13: Have a good one, honey.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: Elyse Woodward. Always a pleasure to talk to her. An
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: absolute gem. You know, I've had so many years of
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: knowing Elise. And as we mentioned there, I came in
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: for first. It was an informational interview. I sat down
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: with Mike Gaston over a coffee shop in Fremont for
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: about an hour way back in December of 2011. He
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: invites me in for a job shadow at the time
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: he's doing a show with Elise Woodward. And I come
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: in on Valentine's Day 2012 for a job shadow.
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: At least and I were texting about this. That's why
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: she mentioned it.
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: I come in for the job shadow on that day.
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: And gas and Elise are talking about Lynn Sanity, Jeremy
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: Lynn for the Knicks. They're talking about each row on
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: the Mariners. I'll remember it like it was yesterday. An
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: absolutely wonderful day. And then I end up interning for
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: them as well. Yeah, it's good times, and it was
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: great to chat with her and really go back to
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: those memories and oh, how far we've come.
- 1:02:36Speaker 4: I'm here, and she's now the voice of the dogs. Very,
- 1:02:39Speaker 4: very cool.
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: All right, we'll get a break here on KJR. This
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: is Jackson Feltz sitting in for Greg Bell today from
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: 10 to 12. Let's get to your texts and to
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: your talkbacks. We'll get to that on the Tacoma Dodge
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: text line and the iHeartRadio app. Hit that little red button.
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: Send me a message. Send Jessamyn a message today. She'll
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: play them coming up in just a few minutes and
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: we will get to factor fiction. It's Jessamyn's day to
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: make a pick. We'll get to all of that coming
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: up here on sports radio, 93.3 KJR FM.
- 1:03:21Speaker 5: Kenneth Walker, man. What a game. Great job. You know,
- 1:03:24Speaker 5: four years with us, he had six to eight good games.
- 1:03:28Speaker 5: Great Super Bowl. You know, good runner. Dynamic. Gets dinged
- 1:03:33Speaker 5: up a lot. I don't know. I think we're a
- 1:03:37Speaker 5: ground and pound type of team. We're a defensive team.
- 1:03:40Speaker 5: And the way we are going to use two to
- 1:03:42Speaker 5: three running backs. And I don't think, I think it
- 1:03:45Speaker 5: was Kenneth Walker who wanted to be the star. And
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: we're a team. We don't need one star. We need
- 1:03:49Speaker 5: a team.
- 1:03:50Speaker 11: Did you all see Mike McDonald on ESPN last night?
- 1:03:53Speaker 11: He was almost cringing hard. When Denver was missing tackles,
- 1:03:58Speaker 11: he hates defense missing tackles. I could see a little
- 1:04:02Speaker 11: cringe come across his face.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: So I didn't see, and by the way, Jackson felt
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: sitting in for Greg Bell today, 10 to noon, Sports
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: Radio 93.3 KJR FM. Just a couple of talkbacks there. Jessamyn,
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: I didn't see Mike McDonald on Monday Night Football. That
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: must have been, I watched kind of into the third quarter.
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: And once it started to become a blood, I ended
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: up turning on to the Emmys with my wife and I'm.
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: A huge TV guy, big, big TV fan.
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: I have a list of the 150 TV shows I've
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: ever seen ranked. So at the point where it was
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: being a blood, I'm like, all right, screw it. I'm
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: watching the Emmys instead. I didn't see Mike McDonald, did you?
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: I didn't.
- 1:04:44Speaker 6: To be fair, I was watching at a local establishment,
- 1:04:46Speaker 6: so the sound wasn't on for the game. I didn't,
- 1:04:50Speaker 6: but I did hear a couple people comment about that,
- 1:04:53Speaker 6: including that listener.
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: You know, this is why I'm hosting 10 to 12 today,
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: but we have Softie and Dick coming up 3 to
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: 7 after Ian Furness, and we do a segment at
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: 345 every day called Fun With Audio. It seems to me,
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: if Mike McDonald was on Monday Night Football, there should
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: be a recording somewhere of that on YouTube. I might
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: need to pick up a couple clips for Fun With
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: Audio from that, because... The awkwardness of Mike McDonald with
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: Peyton Manning and Eli Manning, that had to have produced something.
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: Yeah, it is on YouTube. You can look for it there.
- 1:05:24Speaker 6: So, yeah, just look forward to hearing that during Softie
- 1:05:29Speaker 6: and Dick today.
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: The cringe and the awkwardness, yeah, I imagine that that's
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: an enormous part of it.
- 1:05:34Speaker 6: All right.
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: We do have a late entry.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: Late entry?
- 1:05:37Speaker 14: All right.
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: Which I do enjoy because this guy's fun.
- 1:05:40Speaker 13: Oh, boy.
- 1:05:41Speaker 7: Hey, Dan Wilson here. Tough one last night. You know,
- 1:05:44Speaker 7: you know, real tough game, real tough season, but we
- 1:05:46Speaker 7: fought hard. You know, you know, I appreciate Jackson and
- 1:05:49Speaker 7: Jess being on the air today.
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: You know, you know, you know, you know, you know,
- 1:05:51Speaker 4: you know, you know. Tough one.
- 1:05:52Speaker 7: I know you guys will fight hard and continue to
- 1:05:54Speaker 7: produce on the show. You know, you know, and I saw,
- 1:05:56Speaker 7: you saw us pitch Bazzardo last night. You know, one, two,
- 1:05:59Speaker 7: three inning. He's the greatest pitcher in baseball. Me, I
- 1:06:01Speaker 7: think so. DePoto thinks so. Our analytics think so.
- 1:06:04Speaker 12: You know, you know, you know, you know.
- 1:06:05Speaker 7: And even though it gets tough, you know, he'll keep fighting,
- 1:06:08Speaker 7: battling back, and we'll keep pitching him.
- 1:06:09Speaker 5: Go Bazzardo.
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: I want to do to hear that's the extent of
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: the content. I think the Mariners deserve on our 10
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: to 12 show today. I honestly like that. You're five
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: and a half out of the, of the West. You're
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: six out of the wild card. The season's over. And
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: I haven't believed that the players believe that they have
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: a shot for weeks now. So yeah, I'm this team.
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: The 2026 will go down as one of the most
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: disappointing years in that organization's history for what should have
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: been game seven, eight hours away.
- 1:06:40Speaker 4: And then you do this.
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: I'm going to turn, and I'm not going to get
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: fired up. We got Factor Fiction presented by the Lucky
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: Eagle Casino and Hotel coming up in just a minute.
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: I don't want to turn and get this into an
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: angry direction on this Mariner baseball team.
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: I heard furious felts coming through there.
- 1:06:59Speaker 4: We're not going to get overly furious.
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: Before we do that, let's hit the Tacoma Dodge text
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: line for a few texts.
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: Jess, what do we got?
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: Well, let's see.
- 1:07:07Speaker 6: I was going to say the Greg Bell Show doesn't
- 1:07:09Speaker 6: have someone to take the army and the under, but
- 1:07:12Speaker 6: Greg happens to be off the one week army has
- 1:07:15Speaker 6: a bye.
- 1:07:15Speaker 4: Go army.
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: There's still three days. Somebody can get that. You can
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: make that pick over the next couple of days, right?
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: I do like this one coming in.
- 1:07:23Speaker 6: I believe it was during the Elise interview from the 206.
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: Jackson getting called honey. I love it.
- 1:07:29Speaker 4: I mean, we go.
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: I was, I think the first time I met Elise,
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: I think I was 19 years old. And yeah, cause
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: I would have been, uh, it was, yeah, no, I
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: would have been 19 years old. And as she said,
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: perpetually that age, um, it. It's a long time. And
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: I remember stepping into this building. It was Valentine's Day
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: of 2012. They were talking about Jeremy Lin, Lin Sanity
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: going on.
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: For the mix.
- 1:07:54Speaker 6: Oh, my gosh.
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: I went to New York during that time. It was bonkers.
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: The amount of T-shirts you could buy. It was crazy.
- 1:07:59Speaker 6: There was like pop-up stores just with Lin Sanity.
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: I remember it like it was yesterday. Let's get one
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: more text before we hit Factor Fiction.
- 1:08:06Speaker 8: All right.
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 1:08:08Speaker 6: Just a lot of people reminding you what was on the...
- 1:08:11Speaker 6: The Manning cast, just so you know. You can hear
- 1:08:14Speaker 6: that later.
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: And then this one, I was going to say, we
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: have so many coming in.
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: I think here's my question. Did anybody criticize me for
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: four donuts in one day?
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: Nobody did.
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: Well, that's fantastic. And thank you all for not body
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: shaming me. I am a fat ass and I take
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: pride in that fat assery. I take pride in being
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: able to eat two donuts for breakfast, two donuts for lunch.
- 1:08:38Speaker 4: Not sorry.
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: Even to my wife, who has criticized me for trying
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: to lose weight for Hawaii coming up in a few weeks.
- 1:08:44Speaker 13: All right.
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: Thank you all for not criticizing me. I really appreciate that.
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: Let's get to fact or fiction presented by the Lucky
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: Eagle Casino and Hotel right now.
- 1:08:54Speaker 5: Whoa.
- 1:08:54Speaker 6: Whoa.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: Shot at our weekly thousand bucks and the $ 10, 000 grand prize.
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: It's Factor Fiction.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: Proudly presented by Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel, where every
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: day feels lucky.
- 1:09:13Speaker 4: Factor Fiction is on. Sports Radio 93.3 KJR FM. All right,
- 1:09:20Speaker 4: here we go.
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: Four times a day, every day for 14 weeks.
- 1:09:26Speaker 4: We're in week two right now. It's 735, 1135, 235, 335. Somebody,
- 1:09:28Speaker 4: a personality on our station, will make a pick. You
- 1:09:30Speaker 4: got to text in FACT25.
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: Or fiction, just the word fact, or just the word fiction,
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: to 49451. You have 12 minutes to send in that
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: one word. Every window, you must pick only one option
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: per text window, begins last week. It will go all
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: the way through December 11th. And each week, by the way,
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: you have a chance, a chance to win.
- 1:10:03Speaker 4: $ 1, 000.
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: Our weekly winner will be announced from all eligible entries.
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: The more you play, you can enter 20 total times.
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: The more you play, that increases your odds to win
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: that weekly prize. So at the end of the contest,
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: we're going to have one weekly $ 1, 000 winner of every
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: single of the 14 weeks and the person with the
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: most correct guesses in the totality of the contest across
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: the 14 weeks wins the grand prize of $ 10, 000. We
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: are still early in this contest. You can start right now.
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: Text in Factor Fiction to 49451. Jessamyn's about to make
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: her pick and start right now. You still have time
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: to come back and get in for that $ 10, 000 grand prize.
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: It's Factor Fiction presented by the Lucky Eagle Casino Hotel
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: where every day feels lucky.
- 1:10:52Speaker 4: Jessamyn, what are you doing today?
- 1:10:54Speaker 6: I'm going Eagles minus seven. Eagles are getting seven on
- 1:10:58Speaker 6: the road against the Titans.
- 1:10:59Speaker 4: Seven. I hate lines that are three and seven. You
- 1:11:02Speaker 4: know what?
- 1:11:02Speaker 6: It opened a lot lower, and I'm not going to
- 1:11:04Speaker 6: say that number so that people don't get confused. But
- 1:11:08Speaker 6: I just love this pick, mostly because I picked against
- 1:11:11Speaker 6: my team last week, the Jets. And they were playing
- 1:11:15Speaker 6: the Titans, and I was like, oh, man, the Jets
- 1:11:17Speaker 6: are just, you never bet on them, right?
- 1:11:19Speaker 3: So I saw what they did to the Titans.
- 1:11:23Speaker 6: Philly, even though it was a close game against the Commanders,
- 1:11:26Speaker 6: I think they're going to smoke the Titans. They are
- 1:11:29Speaker 6: going to smoke them, and they are playing them this Sunday.
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: So, yeah.
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: I don't mean to be rude against a former Coug.
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: This isn't meant to be taking a shot. But Cam
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: Ward looks horrible. He is not doing that well. I'm wondering,
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: and listen, there's decent offense around him. Tony Pollard, Tajay Spears,
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: you have Wandale Robinson now, a new person running that offense. But, like,
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: Cam Ward doesn't look like he knows what the hell he's.
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: Doing out there.
- 1:11:56Speaker 6: No, you know, the best things that I saw with
- 1:11:58Speaker 6: him evolve throughout his career were when he had his
- 1:12:01Speaker 6: coaches around him. You know, when he was at Washington State,
- 1:12:05Speaker 6: which is why Eric Morris got the job in the
- 1:12:07Speaker 6: first place to be their offensive coordinator by bringing Cam Ward,
- 1:12:10Speaker 6: he was great with Eric Morris. As soon as Morris
- 1:12:14Speaker 6: bolted to go become a head coach elsewhere in Texas, he,
- 1:12:20Speaker 6: you know, he had.
- 1:12:21Speaker 4: Ben.
- 1:12:22Speaker 6: Arbuckle come in and who was a little bit of
- 1:12:26Speaker 6: a scientist when it came to what the offense should
- 1:12:29Speaker 6: be doing and I think just gave him too much.
- 1:12:31Speaker 6: When he went to Miami, all of a sudden he
- 1:12:33Speaker 6: had the coaching around him that could be perfect. So
- 1:12:36Speaker 6: I think that he is in his best situation when
- 1:12:39Speaker 6: he has the right coach around him.
- 1:12:41Speaker 3: And that's from my own perspective.
- 1:12:43Speaker 6: So he does not have what he needs to be
- 1:12:46Speaker 6: successful right now.
- 1:12:48Speaker 4: He's just.
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: Whatever it is, Tennessee's a mess. They always have been.
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: The Jets kicked their ass in week one. Exactly, which
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: is why I'm taking Philly.
- 1:13:00Speaker 4: I don't like a line of minus seven. Your pick, Philadelphia,
- 1:13:05Speaker 4: minus seven.
- 1:13:05Speaker 14: It is a little.
- 1:13:06Speaker 4: I wish it was six and a half. I even
- 1:13:08Speaker 4: wish it was, you know, but.
- 1:13:09Speaker 3: Well, it opens a lot lower. I would have liked that,
- 1:13:12Speaker 3: but right now it's at minus seven.
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: Jessamyn's picks, the Eagles, minus seven against the Titans. That
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: means they must win by eight or more. Text in
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: fact or fiction to 49451. Fact, if you think she
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: is dead on and Cam Ward's going to throw five interceptions,
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: the Eagles are going to dominate by at least eight.
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: Or fiction if, like me, you think that seven is
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: a very tight number and the Titans.
- 1:13:36Speaker 4: Could keep that game close. You never know. It's in Tennessee,
- 1:13:39Speaker 4: by the way. Yeah, I don't love that.
- 1:13:42Speaker 3: Before we go to break.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:13:43Speaker 6: I would like to say, because we mentioned the donuts,
- 1:13:45Speaker 6: we did get a couple things.
- 1:13:46Speaker 3: Very complimentary.
- 1:13:48Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: Four donuts? Totally relatable.
- 1:13:50Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 1:13:51Speaker 3: Fellow bleep ass here, I can't believe I bleeped fat
- 1:13:54Speaker 3: instead of ass. Fellow fat ass here, you should be
- 1:14:00Speaker 3: ashamed of yourself, Jackson. Four donuts, you can't even put
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: down half a dozen?
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: See, yeah, that's the text I wanted. I do apologize
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: for not being able to do more. That is a
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: shameful thing for me. All right, there you go. Factor Fiction,
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: 49451 to Jessman's pick of the Eagles. Minus seven.
- 1:14:18Speaker 4: Get them in.
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: Thanks to Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel, where every day
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: feels lucky. We'll wrap up the show with some crosstalk
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: with Ian Furness. It's Jackson Feltz in for Greg Bell.
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: Sports Radio 93.3 KJR FM. Jackson Feltz in for Greg Bell,
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: wrapping up our 10 to 12 show. Thanks to our
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: guest so far today, Jordan Morris. Talked about his foundation,
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: your work there.
- 1:14:52Speaker 13: I heard Jordan.
- 1:14:52Speaker 4: I didn't hear the whole thing, but he talked about
- 1:14:54Speaker 4: his foundation. Good.
- 1:14:55Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:14:55Speaker 4: He does great work.
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: Well, I mean, your work with Mayor Maple Valley Open
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: and the mayor of Georgetown, this year's edition was primo.
- 1:15:02Speaker 4: It was great beer.
- 1:15:02Speaker 12: We're going to have a final keg on October 8th
- 1:15:04Speaker 12: at Imbibe in Maple Valley. I should mention with Jordan's foundation,
- 1:15:08Speaker 12: My wife and I went out and volunteered at his
- 1:15:11Speaker 12: soccer camp for kids with type 1 diabetes. I think
- 1:15:14Speaker 12: it was three weeks ago. It was Sunday, Sunday the 30th, whatever.
- 1:15:17Speaker 12: It was like about three weeks ago. We went out
- 1:15:19Speaker 12: there out in Preston, Eastside Soccer Club or whatever it's
- 1:15:22Speaker 12: called out there, Chance Fry Runs. We were out there,
- 1:15:26Speaker 12: a couple hundred kids. Every kid has type 1 diabetes.
- 1:15:29Speaker 12: It's just such an inspirational day. Jordan's mom, Leslie, is
- 1:15:34Speaker 12: a rock star. She runs the thing along with her husband, Dr. Mike,
- 1:15:40Speaker 12: the retired physician. They're not retired. He has more time
- 1:15:42Speaker 12: for the foundation now. Yeah, he and I were joking.
- 1:15:45Speaker 12: I was like, what are we supposed to do here?
- 1:15:46Speaker 12: We're setting stuff up. He goes, there's a lot of
- 1:15:48Speaker 12: people in charge here. And I'm like, yeah, there are.
- 1:15:50Speaker 12: But Leslie's in charge. But no, Jordan does a great
- 1:15:51Speaker 12: job with that. And I think it's one of the
- 1:15:52Speaker 12: cool things. And the other thing he does that just
- 1:15:54Speaker 12: kind of flies under the radar is kids that are
- 1:15:56Speaker 12: diagnosed with type 1 diabetes normally find themselves at Children's
- 1:16:00Speaker 12: Hospital because there's stuff going on. And that's where they're diagnosed,
- 1:16:03Speaker 12: and they do a little gift pack and do some
- 1:16:05Speaker 12: things for kids out there. And I've said it a
- 1:16:08Speaker 12: zillion times. He is a hero in our community, very quietly.
- 1:16:12Speaker 12: He is a hero in our community. A lot of
- 1:16:13Speaker 12: guys do stuff from foundations and charity work, and there's
- 1:16:16Speaker 12: a look-at-me factor.
- 1:16:17Speaker 4: That ain't the case with him.
- 1:16:18Speaker 13: No.
- 1:16:18Speaker 4: I mean, the thing with Jordan is you never really
- 1:16:20Speaker 4: see a lot of the impact.
- 1:16:22Speaker 8: No, you don't.
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: One of the cool things is … whether it's a
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: home game or a road game. I think I briefly
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: mentioned this at 1045.
- 1:16:28Speaker 4: Yeah, the playmakers. The playmakers, right. So what he does,
- 1:16:31Speaker 4: whether it's.
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: In Seattle or every single road trip they take, after
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: the game is over, he stays on the field and
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: he brings a kid down from the stands who has
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: type 1 and spends time on the field with them,
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: just chit-chatting.
- 1:16:45Speaker 4: Cameras are gone. Everybody's gone.
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: And he just spends about 15 to 20 minutes with
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: a kid every single game.
- 1:16:51Speaker 4: Home and away.
- 1:16:52Speaker 13: Yep.
- 1:16:53Speaker 12: Domestic or international. He does it for some of the
- 1:16:57Speaker 12: CONCACAF or whatever other tournaments they're playing. Their foundation buys
- 1:17:02Speaker 12: the jerseys they give the kids.
- 1:17:04Speaker 4: It's remarkable. Win or lose.
- 1:17:05Speaker 14: Yep.
- 1:17:07Speaker 4: You know, there's been a.
- 1:17:08Speaker 12: Lot of talk lately about some of these athletes when
- 1:17:10Speaker 12: they lose a game. I mean, I think Caden Anderson
- 1:17:13Speaker 12: looked really dumb last night. I thought Caden Pinnock initially
- 1:17:16Speaker 12: looked dumb. Our quarterback looked better yesterday when he came
- 1:17:19Speaker 12: back out and kind of apologized. But it's, you know,
- 1:17:21Speaker 12: win or lose, Jordan does that. He did it with
- 1:17:23Speaker 12: my son. And massive impact. Massive impact. And my son's
- 1:17:28Speaker 12: not a soccer player, but he's an athlete. And Jordan
- 1:17:32Speaker 12: got that and made a massive difference.
- 1:17:34Speaker 4: And yeah, you're right. No cameras.
- 1:17:36Speaker 14: It's just.
- 1:17:36Speaker 4: You're off to the side. They don't publicize it or anything.
- 1:17:39Speaker 12: Yeah, in fact, I was telling that day, I got
- 1:17:42Speaker 12: a text from the two PR guys, from Matt and Alex,
- 1:17:46Speaker 12: from the Sounders.
- 1:17:47Speaker 4: Are you here? I'm like, no.
- 1:17:48Speaker 12: There's a kid on the, the kid for meeting Jordan
- 1:17:51Speaker 12: afterwards has the same last name. I go, yeah, it's
- 1:17:53Speaker 12: my son. He's like, oh, you're not, not my thing.
- 1:17:56Speaker 12: That's for mom and the kid.
- 1:17:59Speaker 4: So it's cool. The work that Jordan does is amazing.
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: If you have a kid or if you know a
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: kid who has type 1 diabetes, jordanmorrisfoundation.com if you want
- 1:18:07Speaker 2: to learn there. Ian, while we have a couple minutes,
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: what does short-term mean to you? Because for Sam Darnold,
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: I love how every single Seahawk reporter sends out the
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: exact same tweet at 410 yesterday saying, very unique soft
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: tissue injury, hip joint unaffected, short-term injury.
- 1:18:26Speaker 4: Well, they haven't put him on IR.
- 1:18:28Speaker 6: No.
- 1:18:29Speaker 4: So that's good.
- 1:18:30Speaker 12: And I thought they still may today bring a quarterback in.
- 1:18:35Speaker 12: I haven't even seen now. Maybe I've missed it. Usually
- 1:18:37Speaker 12: when guys are coming in for tryouts, those are listed.
- 1:18:40Speaker 4: They're public.
- 1:18:41Speaker 12: And it would have been yesterday. It doesn't appear they've
- 1:18:44Speaker 12: done that, which is interesting, too. I would have thought
- 1:18:47Speaker 12: they'd bring a guy in just to be a three
- 1:18:48Speaker 12: on the practice squad. going into Arizona, even if he's
- 1:18:52Speaker 12: going to play in Washington, just to have a three
- 1:18:53Speaker 12: that you can elevate. Because that was the thing the
- 1:18:57Speaker 12: other day when Darnall went down. Remember, Milrow was inactive,
- 1:19:00Speaker 12: but he was the third quarterback to dress. I think
- 1:19:04Speaker 12: we all have Even though it was the Niners and
- 1:19:06Speaker 12: we chuckled, we all have PTSD watching Christian McCaffrey run
- 1:19:09Speaker 12: the Wildcat in that playoff game a couple years ago.
- 1:19:11Speaker 4: NFC title game.
- 1:19:12Speaker 12: When both quarterbacks got hurt and they didn't have a three.
- 1:19:15Speaker 12: And in fact, remember, Purdy came back in, but he
- 1:19:17Speaker 12: couldn't throw. But yeah, the fact that they haven't done that,
- 1:19:22Speaker 12: they haven't brought a Jake Browning or a Jimmy Garoppolo in.
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: Ian, there's an obvious name. He's available, and he's already
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: talking about and watching football on a daily basis.
- 1:19:32Speaker 12: They ain't bringing back the little fella. They're not bringing
- 1:19:35Speaker 12: back the little fella. That ship has sailed. Think about
- 1:19:38Speaker 12: the comedy, the comedy of it, though. I'm sure he
- 1:19:42Speaker 12: thought about it. I'm sure people reached out to Schneider,
- 1:19:45Speaker 12: and it wouldn't have been Russ, because last time Russ
- 1:19:47Speaker 12: talked to Schneider, he was trying to get Schneider fired.
- 1:19:49Speaker 13: So.
- 1:19:51Speaker 12: I don't think that's, you know, I don't, you know,
- 1:19:54Speaker 12: I don't think that's going to happen, but yeah, no, I, I,
- 1:19:56Speaker 12: I thought they'd sign like a Browning or somebody like
- 1:19:59Speaker 12: that and bring them in just in case.
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: But at the same time, maybe, maybe it really is
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: like a one week thing. Well, then Mike, Mike Florio's
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: report about four to six weeks. Then, I mean, he's
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: the only guy that said that.
- 1:20:12Speaker 12: And I know like, if we learn nothing else from
- 1:20:16Speaker 12: hard knocks, do we not learn that Ian Rappaport has
- 1:20:18Speaker 12: a direct line to John Schneider?
- 1:20:19Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:20:20Speaker 12: And I can also tell you that because when Rappaport
- 1:20:22Speaker 12: was out at training camp, like a week later, and
- 1:20:25Speaker 12: he was on the show with us, before he was
- 1:20:27Speaker 12: on the show with us, guess who he was talking to?
- 1:20:28Speaker 4: John Schneider. Like he knows.
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: Because I produced for you for, what, six, seven years?
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: And we had Rappaport on every single Friday. And we
- 1:20:36Speaker 2: knew when he was coming on Fridays, all right, now
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: we get the real Seahawks information on Friday afternoon.
- 1:20:41Speaker 4: I would say, to me, I would just.
- 1:20:46Speaker 12: As far as Donald's concerned, especially since they're on the
- 1:20:49Speaker 12: same team now, Schefter and Rapp, uh, and I, I
- 1:20:52Speaker 12: think just watch what those guys are saying.
- 1:20:54Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:20:54Speaker 12: Uh, it's, and you know, they got kind of lucky
- 1:20:57Speaker 12: because he didn't have to talk yesterday.
- 1:21:00Speaker 4: He being, um, McDonald.
- 1:21:02Speaker 12: And then tomorrow they'll, he'll speak and they'll have the
- 1:21:05Speaker 12: first injury report, but he's going to be listed as
- 1:21:07Speaker 12: DNP to not practice and out.
- 1:21:08Speaker 4: And, And we get Drew Locke for a week or two.
- 1:21:11Speaker 4: Here we go.
- 1:21:11Speaker 12: What do you got on the show today? It's our Wednesday,
- 1:21:14Speaker 12: our Tuesday extravaganza. We'll check in with the Cougs and
- 1:21:18Speaker 12: Crystal Bruce and Alex Brink.
- 1:21:22Speaker 4: Oh, MK.
- 1:21:22Speaker 12: It's been one of those, well, the Husky game was fine.
- 1:21:26Speaker 12: It came out of that feeling pretty good. And then
- 1:21:29Speaker 12: Kansas State, not so much. Offense isn't good. You know,
- 1:21:32Speaker 12: Brink did the same thing that Pinnock did.
- 1:21:35Speaker 4: Yeah, he's seven. Like one-word answers and all that stuff.
- 1:21:38Speaker 12: 2007, yeah.
- 1:21:38Speaker 4: But the difference is there was no social media.
- 1:21:40Speaker 13: Right.
- 1:21:41Speaker 12: But can you have a leader on your football team
- 1:21:43Speaker 12: that's that? We'll ask Alex about that. That's 1220 today.
- 1:21:47Speaker 12: Then Joe Sheehan, 120.
- 1:21:48Speaker 4: You're going to spend a lot of time on this
- 1:21:52Speaker 4: mess of a team.
- 1:21:53Speaker 6: Well.
- 1:21:54Speaker 12: Yeah, we'll see if he still thinks a potted plant
- 1:21:56Speaker 12: would be better than Dan Wilson in the dugout.
- 1:21:58Speaker 4: Ooh, now that I'll listen for. That's what he said
- 1:21:59Speaker 4: two weeks ago. I mean, it's a ficus. It's a ficus, yeah.
- 1:22:02Speaker 12: You put a ficus in the corner, it'd be better.
- 1:22:04Speaker 12: So yeah, so Joe Sheehan and then John Lund's extravaganza.
- 1:22:08Speaker 12: Lund's all happy. He sent me a text today. The
- 1:22:10Speaker 12: Athletic has their power rankings out in the NFL. Lund
- 1:22:13Speaker 12: sent it to me. We're 1-2. They're 1, Seattle's 2.
- 1:22:15Speaker 12: They being the Niners. So he's all happy. He'll be
- 1:22:18Speaker 12: popping around and all that stuff. And we had to
- 1:22:20Speaker 12: root for the Niners last week, which is even worse, so...
- 1:22:23Speaker 12: That's now done. We're done with that. We're done with that.
- 1:22:26Speaker 12: We're done with that until later in the year. So, yeah,
- 1:22:27Speaker 12: busy show. Lund, Sheehan, and the Cougs all coming up today.
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: In for Ness, 12-3. This has been Jackson Feltz filling
- 1:22:33Speaker 2: in for Greg Bell. Everybody have a good rest of
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: your Tuesday. For Ness is next on Sports Radio 93.3
- 1:22:38Speaker 2: KJR FM.
