- 0:00To whom it may concern and especially to the Craven scoundrel
- 0:05responsible for the disturbing scribblings found within my dwelling.
- 0:09Let it be known throughout this fledgling colony that I, Frederick Barnaby, have had the peace of my family most
- 0:16grievously disrupted by the discovery of a vile and
- 0:20unsettling poem hidden within the very floorboards of the cabin allotted to us.
- 0:27My daughter, a child of tender years, was subjected to this...
- 0:31this
- 0:33nonsense!
- 0:35And has been left in a state of considerable distress.
- 0:39I will not repeat the contents of this dreadful verse here, lest it further poison the minds of our community.
- 0:45Suffice it to say, it speaks of shadows, of souls departed, and of a most unnatural hunger.
- 0:55Such morbid pronouncements serve no purpose, but to sow fear and discontent amongst us,
- 1:02who have come to this land with hope and a desire for honest labor.
- 1:08Therefore, I,
- 1:11Frederick Barnaby,
- 1:13to hereby demand that the author of this malicious drivel
- 1:18cease and desist from any further such actions.
- 1:23Let your idle hands find more constructive pursuits than the tormenting of innocent souls with your ghostly fancies.
- 1:30This is a new beginning, and we will not have it tainted by such dark and unsettling pronouncements.
- 1:37Consider this your only warning.
- 1:40Should these disturbing missives continue, I will take such measures as unnecessary
- 1:45to ensure the safety and peace of my family and this community.
- 1:52Frederick Barnaby.
- 1:54[Music]
- 2:23You guys
- 2:25peek out from the supply shack to see
- 2:28Hazel
- 2:30desperately trying to pull the door closed as the scrungest digs its claws into the wood doors,
- 2:37trying to pull the
- 2:39chapel wide open to get to this damsel in distress.
- 2:43What do you guys do?
- 2:46You already know Sophie Jo's filming this thing.
- 2:48Okay.
- 2:49So you, yeah, you zoom in, you zoom way in so you're getting like close-up footage of her trying not to be killed by the scrungest.
- 2:56Yes, well like making her wait.
- 2:58Oh, oh, so you're rushing there.
- 3:00Oh, like he like recording.
- 3:01Oh, okay.
- 3:02That was there for research purposes later.
- 3:04Oh, sure, sure.
- 3:05What about, I mean, I guess, okay, so you guys are all rushing over there to help.
- 3:08You arrive with the giant massive hulking figure of the scrungest
- 3:13slashing and tearing at this door trying to get inside.
- 3:17Hazel, of course, doing everything in her power to try to keep it closed.
- 3:21She's got maybe a couple of pews that she's tried to slam over top of it, but they're just not doing much.
- 3:28You seal this.
- 3:29Maybe it's like a cabin thing where it's like a screen window or something.
- 3:33That's for you guys to figure out.
- 3:35Yeah, I'm just gonna say you're obviously not here.
- 3:37You're telling us the interior.
- 3:39Sophie Jo does have a thermal camera.
- 3:41Okay, thermal cameras don't seat through walls.
- 3:44They're not fired, dummy.
- 3:46They're not ghost.
- 3:48So what are you guys doing?
- 3:49You guys are standing there.
- 3:50The scrungest is smashing through.
- 3:51You're getting a really good look at the scrungest.
- 3:53It's just this disgusting, it's bear-like, but the more you look at it, the more you realize it has this almost monstrous,
- 4:01non-bear, non-natural visage to it, especially from the sort of gooping gray ooze that sort of just comes off of its body.
- 4:10And of course, Hazel is inside shouting, "Help, help, help!"
- 4:14Please, oh my gosh, please help!
- 4:16Is the scrungest's full attention on her?
- 4:20Oh yeah.
- 4:21Okay, so how close could Sophie Jo get to this thing?
- 4:23You can get as close as you want.
- 4:25He's gonna just be warned if you poke the bear.
- 4:29Poke the-
- 4:30If you poke that, we're changing it.
- 4:32We're changing it to poke the scrungest.
- 4:33Don't poke the scrungest.
- 4:35It's still kind of like herring from the four times you shot him.
- 4:38You can't see where it's been shot, but I would say there's an element of the couple of times that you've experienced it,
- 4:46and one time that you've already fought it, it does seem like it's a little bit weakened.
- 4:51Maybe the oozy gooeyness of it seems to be slightly like the mass,
- 4:56the mass that existed of it seems to have minimized ever so slightly.
- 5:00Not a lot, but somewhat.
- 5:02Mmm.
- 5:03So he's gonna just try and get point blank.
- 5:06Okay.
- 5:07And just...
- 5:09Bah!
- 5:10Right in the back of the scrungest.
- 5:12Back of the scrungest.
- 5:13Alright, we'll go back of his head if he can reach.
- 5:16Sure.
- 5:17How tall is this bad boy?
- 5:18Oh man, he's pretty tall, but he's on all fours, right?
- 5:21He's using his front claws very bear-like to smashing at this door, so you could get out.
- 5:26If he's on all fours then, I think Sophie Jo will get to the side and just try and aim for the side of his face.
- 5:30Sure.
- 5:31I'm gonna say do a kick some ass.
- 5:34Ooh, that's I believe a 6.
- 5:40A 6.
- 5:41You pull out the gun and you hold it right up to the head of this creature,
- 5:46and all of a sudden a small portion of the gooey ooze that comes off of it
- 5:51splurts out and hits the tip of your revolver,
- 5:55and you can see the metal on it start to corrode almost instantly,
- 5:59and you pull back the pistol, hoping not to get any more on this, so you don't take the shot.
- 6:05Well, that's not good.
- 6:08At least it's attention's not on me.
- 6:10Yeah, that's true, that's true.
- 6:11But if he's close enough, he does have one of the axes.
- 6:17That's true.
- 6:18Just might try and throw an axe.
- 6:22Okay, so you take a couple of steps back and you go to hurl one of your axes at it.
- 6:26Roll me that kick some ass.
- 6:28Go.
- 6:31So that's a 7.
- 6:33A 7, okay.
- 6:34So you do successfully hit the scrungus with this axe, it flies forward,
- 6:39jamming itself into it.
- 6:41The scrungus reels back, obviously angry from this damage that it's just been dealt,
- 6:46and it turns towards you, and you watch as the axe itself that you just embedded into it
- 6:50starts to sort of sink into its flesh and disappears beneath the gooey ooze.
- 6:56You probably won't be getting that axe back, but you have damaged the scrungus.
- 7:02Unfortunately, the scrungus turns around and its attention is now on you.
- 7:07Which, I guess, is to Hazel's favor.
- 7:10What about the others that are in this group?
- 7:13As the scrungus turns towards you guys, what are you guys doing?
- 7:19I think Grieve is going to pull out one of his bolos,
- 7:24because I'm assuming that the scrungus turning his attention is going to then charge at Scuba Steve over there.
- 7:31I think it's a little surprise seeing everybody.
- 7:33It hasn't decided who to charge at just yet.
- 7:36So you have, I mean, this is amidst his turning.
- 7:41So, being familiar with the bull as the Australian enthusiast I am,
- 7:47I know what's probably not going to do a lot of good to chuck it at a stationary target.
- 7:51Okay.
- 7:52I don't know if I can talk to anyone there.
- 7:53Right.
- 7:54Sounds a good pointer.
- 7:55Stationary.
- 7:56So he's probably going to like ready an action.
- 7:59Okay.
- 8:00For when he starts running.
- 8:01Okay.
- 8:02Yeah, that sounds good.
- 8:03I would call that, you know what, here, this is going to be a weird situation.
- 8:08You hold this action, but let me, because you're taking time to sort of analyze this,
- 8:13I'm going to call this a help out and you're essentially helping yourself.
- 8:17You're helping yourself prepare.
- 8:18So roll with cool for the possibility of getting yourself a plus one when you actually go to
- 8:22throw this.
- 8:23Five.
- 8:24Five.
- 8:25Okay.
- 8:26Wait.
- 8:27Oh, oh.
- 8:28Because a help yourself out is plus one.
- 8:29So six.
- 8:30Six.
- 8:31So close.
- 8:32So close.
- 8:33But it's not going to cause you any kind of a problem, right?
- 8:34You take some steps back.
- 8:36I think your heart starts beating super intensely as you see this creature that just attacked
- 8:40you guys not too long ago, maybe about an hour ago.
- 8:44And you're nervous, right?
- 8:46You are trying to push past that feeling.
- 8:50And I mentioned before, you've trained by capturing other animals, other dangerous animals,
- 8:56for the purposes of education and things like that.
- 8:58You've had a lion run right at you and you stood your ground and you managed to subdue
- 9:02it before it could hurt you.
- 9:04But this last time you did the same thing for the scrungus and it slammed into you and
- 9:08caused you damage.
- 9:09So you're a little nervous.
- 9:11This isn't what you're used to.
- 9:12This isn't normal for you.
- 9:14And you're a little bit terrified.
- 9:15So it doesn't give you an opportunity to potentially get a little bit more focus on this thing.
- 9:20But that doesn't mean that you can't still throw the bull as the second it charges.
- 9:24Is Martin Fresh doing anything?
- 9:26He started his weed wacker and he's pulling it above his head like a Tuscan ranger.
- 9:33Oh, get out of here.
- 9:35Are you scrungus?
- 9:36No, I'm just out of here.
- 9:39This is an interesting situation where I'm going to have you do a manipulate someone.
- 9:44Being the scrungus.
- 9:46Nine.
- 9:47Nine.
- 9:48Okay.
- 9:49So on a nine, they'll do it.
- 9:51But only if you do something for them right now to show that you mean it.
- 9:56So you're saying get out of here.
- 9:58Pull in the thing that makes the loud weed wacker.
- 10:03And then he moves it and he cuts the grass in front of us to show that you mean it.
- 10:11Okay.
- 10:12It backs away.
- 10:13I don't think it's fully intimidated to run away entirely, but it's definitely made
- 10:17nervous.
- 10:18I'm not pointed at it.
- 10:20Okay.
- 10:21Hold it on in front of you.
- 10:23Okay.
- 10:24Okay.
- 10:25Back off.
- 10:26Please.
- 10:27Back off.
- 10:28And as you as you move towards it, sure enough, it does start to step back.
- 10:31It seems a little cautious of this, this weed wacker.
- 10:35Where are you sort of getting it to and where are you going?
- 10:39I'm going to get away from the door.
- 10:42So it stops.
- 10:43Yeah.
- 10:44Okay.
- 10:45It is definitely doing that.
- 10:46You managed to back it away so that is, it's back on the ground.
- 10:49It's not leaving the area because again, it's only staying about a weed wacker's distance
- 10:54from you, right?
- 10:55But it is away from the door at the moment.
- 10:58So you guys have an opening to get inside or whatever it is that you're trying to do.
- 11:02I think Greve will take that opening and run for the inside.
- 11:05Okay.
- 11:06So we're all a leap inside where Hazel is waiting and she at this point, she, she's
- 11:12just kind of crumpled next to the pews that she has kind of barring up the door.
- 11:17She looks exhausted.
- 11:18She says, I went out to the beach and it chased me all the way over here, but it didn't come
- 11:25into the sand.
- 11:26I think it doesn't like sand.
- 11:27I know that sounds weird, but I, it wouldn't come and get me.
- 11:30I just, I freaked out and I, I got onto the grass and then it started to chase me, but
- 11:34it wouldn't come over to the sand.
- 11:37How far is the beach from here?
- 11:38So you guys are at the chapel, which is kind of that center spot.
- 11:42There's a beach south of you towards the lighthouse and then there's the, the North
- 11:47Beach, which is where like the volleyball and stuff like that is all set up at.
- 11:52You know, there's a net over at the ball.
- 11:54There's a net at the volleyball court.
- 11:56You haven't given up on that net gun.
- 11:59It hasn't been super effective, but it's due now.
- 12:02The exact, our sand traps in the golf course, there is sand traps in the golf course that
- 12:06we established is right here.
- 12:08Well, that's also still a little ways from you, but I digress.
- 12:12All things considered, you're on an island, so you're completely surrounded by sand.
- 12:18She says, or anything, anything dry really.
- 12:21I mean, I don't know.
- 12:23So soapy Joe's going to call back to his days of watching King of the Hill and he's
- 12:27going to grab some sand and put it in his pocket.
- 12:30Just sand from where?
- 12:32Are we not like on a beach?
- 12:34No, we're out.
- 12:35No, no, no, sorry.
- 12:36When I said you're surrounded, I meant like you're on an island.
- 12:38So technically you could go in any direction.
- 12:40Eventually you'll find some sand from the holy sand.
- 12:42Ah, yes.
- 12:43Yes.
- 12:44The, the holy sand.
- 12:45They don't use holy water at this, this chapel.
- 12:48They use holy sand.
- 12:49So I soapy believes we should go to the North Beach.
- 12:53Do you all want to go to the North Beach?
- 12:56Is this just to collect something or is this to like take refuge on the beach?
- 13:02Yeah, as we have an actual end game, are we just trying to go to the beach because that
- 13:07is a weakness that I didn't make the other thing.
- 13:09How can we give off this island or signal for help?
- 13:13Well, I wasn't, what was the whole totem thing?
- 13:16That's just how this all happened.
- 13:19I didn't give us all of his footage from like the campfire.
- 13:21So because he's been recording this.
- 13:23Sure.
- 13:24I would say in the moment with, with the current situation, the scrungus is not gone.
- 13:27Oh, it's not gone.
- 13:28I 100% support you investigating the mystery, but I'm just kind of asking is now the time.
- 13:33You know what I mean?
- 13:34Yeah, you're right.
- 13:35You're right.
- 13:36I would love nothing more than you investigate the mystery.
- 13:38So with that being said, Martin Fresh is still outside just kind of like, yeah, I've been
- 13:43talking to you guys through the door, the open door is I'm just holding the thing off.
- 13:48Well, guys, I like the strategizing we're making here.
- 13:53But how about we head to the beach that discuss further if it doesn't like seeing Justin, Justin
- 14:01steps out and he says, well, maybe, maybe this would help.
- 14:05And he pulls out an equally massive Costco, not a sponsor size container of the salts
- 14:12that was originally sitting right next to the pepper when you grab that.
- 14:16And he says, what about this?
- 14:18This is sand, right?
- 14:20I mean, it's a mineral, but it's, it's close.
- 14:22You think this will work?
- 14:23And to be clear, do I still have the pepper since I only got a brief little cloud versus
- 14:28the actual and I think you technically dropped it.
- 14:34But he does hand you this big giant thing of salt, which is significantly heavier than
- 14:38than pepper.
- 14:39Hmm.
- 14:40I'm not a believer in densities.
- 14:41Yes, I will take the salt.
- 14:44Okay.
- 14:45And he says, I don't do we just like, he's looking at Hazel and he's like, do we just
- 14:48do we just throw it at him?
- 14:50Or like, I mean, what are we supposed to do?
- 14:51He's like, I don't know.
- 14:52Just get the salt on him.
- 14:54I guess.
- 14:55I don't know.
- 14:56I don't even know.
- 14:57I don't even know if this will work, but try it works for me.
- 15:01Can you load up that salt into your net gun?
- 15:04How about that?
- 15:06Even a good or a giant potato gun?
- 15:08I was just thinking actually today that a net gun is basically just either a potato
- 15:13gun or like a t-shirt gun where it's just pressurized and you could really shove just
- 15:20about anything in there.
- 15:21Because isn't the guy like right outside?
- 15:23Yeah, yeah.
- 15:24Yeah.
- 15:25Yeah, I think it'll probably take that option is just hurl it.
- 15:28Hurl it.
- 15:29Okay.
- 15:30So you run outside.
- 15:31I'm going to have you act under pressure on this one.
- 15:33So you're rolling with cool because obviously you're just trying to make sure that this
- 15:36salt hits the scrungus.
- 15:38And eight.
- 15:40And eight.
- 15:42Okay.
- 15:43You pop the top on this container of salt and you rear back and you hurl it towards
- 15:49the scrungus.
- 15:50Oh man, this is the tricky thing with act under pressure is they leave it very broad.
- 15:56Her choice or price to pay.
- 15:58You're going to lose the salt, which is a huge sacrifice.
- 16:02Oh, I have an idea.
- 16:04Okay.
- 16:05You rear back, you have the top popped off of this massive container of salt and you
- 16:09hurl it towards the scrungus.
- 16:12It flies through the air and it hits the ground just like a foot or two away from it.
- 16:19Filling salt all over to the ground.
- 16:21That's right there.
- 16:22And that's you had this like nice pile of salt.
- 16:25It's out of the container.
- 16:27It's sitting there on the ground, but it didn't directly hit the scrungus.
- 16:31Okay.
- 16:32So it is in front of it or to the side?
- 16:34Kind of to the side.
- 16:35Yeah.
- 16:36Kind of to the side.
- 16:37Now is that all the salt that's gone?
- 16:38Yeah.
- 16:39So there's just a huge pile of salt sitting next to the scrungus, but not actually touching
- 16:44the scrungus.
- 16:45Big pile?
- 16:46Yep.
- 16:47Okay.
- 16:48So it's just sitting there in the angle.
- 16:49Oh, interesting.
- 16:50And just send it flying in every direction.
- 16:53Okay.
- 16:54You jam the, you pull the weed eater away from the monster and it sees an opening, but
- 16:59just as it does, you jam it into the salt.
- 17:02I'm going to have you do an act under pressure as well.
- 17:04Just because you're taking your focus, a nine.
- 17:07Okay.
- 17:08You, you might get harmed by the monster, but you will hit the salt and spray it everywhere.
- 17:13Or you can, or you can redact.
- 17:15Full send.
- 17:16Full send.
- 17:17So I should say the scrungus slashes out with its massive clawed hands.
- 17:22It hits you just ever so slightly dealing one harm, but your weed eater jams into this
- 17:28pile of salt that grieves just sent flying over to you.
- 17:32And it just starts spraying salt everywhere, every which direction.
- 17:36Some of you guys start like closing your eyes as you're getting kind of hit with it from
- 17:39over at the chapel.
- 17:41That you watch as the salt hits the scrungus, that ooey goo that makes up its body starts
- 17:48to almost disintegrate like a dry up like a snail, sizzling practically as the salt is
- 17:55hitting it.
- 17:56It lets out a horrible, horrible screen as it starts to just rush away, being horribly
- 18:03harmed by this salt, this drying agent, if you will, leaving you guys safe for now from
- 18:10the scrungus.
- 18:11Where'd it go, Myrtle?
- 18:13Now stay on!
- 18:15Now keep in mind, Sophie Jo was reporting, or recording on this.
- 18:20Yes.
- 18:21So he would like to investigate the mystery and fix it in post again.
- 18:25Okay.
- 18:26And then just remind me, so what does fix it in post like do?
- 18:29Does it enhance your investigative history?
- 18:31Does it give you more questions?
- 18:32It says you can use anything you conceivably have recorded as evidence for investigative
- 18:36mystery allowing you to check previous interviews, attacks, life.
- 18:39Oh, okay.
- 18:40So basically it's saying that no matter where you're at, you have content that you can use
- 18:44to investigate a mystery versus like, oh, I have to go to a spot to try to investigate
- 18:49the mystery.
- 18:50He's recording, which is why.
- 18:51Which you have been, yeah.
- 18:52Been recording this whole time.
- 18:53Absolutely.
- 18:54For his 50,000 YouTube blog.
- 18:56That's right.
- 18:57Okay.
- 18:58Go ahead and roll that investigative mystery.
- 19:00Nine.
- 19:01Nine.
- 19:02Okay.
- 19:03So you get one question from the list.
- 19:05You can kind of keep this one a little bit more broad if you'd like to.
- 19:09Just tell me what it is that you want to attribute it to.
- 19:12So we know what happened here.
- 19:13We know what kind of creature it is.
- 19:15We sort of know what it can do.
- 19:16We know what can hurt it.
- 19:18We don't know where it went.
- 19:20What was it going to do?
- 19:21We probably know that.
- 19:22I'm going to ask what can the scrungest do?
- 19:26What can it do?
- 19:27Okay.
- 19:28Like the acidic stuff that's spurred it off of it's kind of, is kind of like, you know,
- 19:34yeah, something strange.
- 19:36That's a good question.
- 19:38Okay.
- 19:39So you look back at footage that you've gotten of the scrungest.
- 19:44And one thing that you notice from the video where Greaves shot it with a net gun, you
- 19:51actually saw there were chunks of the body that completely oozed out between the little
- 19:57squares in the net and sort of reestablished itself outside of the net.
- 20:04So basically this thing can turn into an ooze almost entirely to escape, for instance, a
- 20:10net.
- 20:11And obviously you see that everywhere that it goes, it also kind of leaves behind the
- 20:16sort of acid burn.
- 20:18As you look through some of the video and you see like where it had its footprints, you
- 20:22even go look out at the door of the chapel and you can see these almost like acid burn
- 20:27marks that it left behind while it was trying to get inside.
- 20:30So its skin itself is incredibly caustic, which is actually really good that Greaves
- 20:36didn't capture you and the scrungest when he shot the net gun, which I think you joked
- 20:41about as we'd be in a confined space with a...
- 20:44Yeah.
- 20:45So wait, didn't Martin just like fight this thing like hand to hand?
- 20:50Didn't you fight this thing?
- 20:51Right, right in the ale?
- 20:53No, but before you fought the scrungest at your campfire store.
- 20:57No, no, no.
- 20:58Not at all.
- 20:59He just, he literally just saw it.
- 21:01He just offered in some hand.
- 21:02Yeah.
- 21:03Hand off.
- 21:04So he doesn't like hand.
- 21:06Which is funny because in the first episode you kept trying to give him hand.
- 21:09Oh, because you were trying to get him to go away.
- 21:11I don't know, I just, I got some hot dogs and he wasn't there when I came back out.
- 21:19So I can only assume he doesn't care much for him.
- 21:23He did chase after the hot dogs though, didn't he?
- 21:25Well, maybe he likes them.
- 21:27Maybe he will stay if I came back out with him.
- 21:31As you guys are discussing this, you can overhear Justin and Hazel are just kind of walking
- 21:36around the room and Justin is explaining to Hazel and Braden everything that he showed
- 21:43you guys from the letters from Richard Ancock and anything that kind of related to the totem.
- 21:49Basically explaining to them that the totem is sort of behind these monsters.
- 21:54And as they're looking around, does anybody else want to do anything while you guys are
- 21:58in here?
- 21:59In this chapel, which is a non-exported space.
- 22:01You might have come in here at some point like doing some cleaning and stuff like that,
- 22:05but otherwise as far as the mystery goes, this is the first time you've come in here.
- 22:09What's our plan of attack your game?
- 22:12How are we going to get off this island?
- 22:14Are we going to find a radio and radio to that one fella who's got the car or are we
- 22:19just going to run across the bridge?
- 22:22They would grab some golf carts and make an escape across the bridge.
- 22:27Where's the bridge?
- 22:29Basically it would be like you go through the forest, you follow that road and then inevitably
- 22:33you'd get to the bridge.
- 22:34But you do remember that Willie, the owner of the park, had mentioned to you that the
- 22:38bridge was going to be unavailable.
- 22:40What does that mean?
- 22:42I like to think that, and technically this is totally fictional, I don't think this is
- 22:45technically how it's set up, but it's one of those raised bridges.
- 22:48A drawbridge?
- 22:49Yeah.
- 22:50Or there's a section of it that's a drawbridge to help let ships through and things like
- 22:54that.
- 22:55Oh, okay.
- 22:56Yeah, I mean is there anything in particular you guys want to do while you're in here?
- 23:02Ellie ideals guys.
- 23:04And just as you guys are kind of coming to a dead end, Hazel speaks up.
- 23:09She says, "Hey, what's this?"
- 23:12And she holds up what looks like an old book.
- 23:16And you come over and look and you see that obviously each pew has an old Bible and a
- 23:22hymnal book in each one of those little like sections on the back of each of the pews.
- 23:28This one had a hymnal book and another book that doesn't look at all like a Bible.
- 23:34And as she opens it up, you see more of sort of those old letters.
- 23:39Or rather the book itself looks like it was written in the same handwriting with that
- 23:43old English style as those letters that you found earlier.
- 23:48And on the front cover on the inside, you open it up and it reads, "The Diary of Richard
- 23:54Hancock."
- 23:55My sweet, my ambitious jewel across the churning foam, know that fortune's cruelest hand has
- 24:20led us to a haunted home.
- 24:23These simple souls, they lack the spine to seize what fate decreed.
- 24:29Their whispers weak, their spirits thin, a paltry frightened breed.
- 24:36But fear not love, for in my grasp a relic now resides, a totem that hums with ancient
- 24:44hungers where wicked power hides.
- 24:47It speaks to me in fevered dreams a voice both cold and vast.
- 24:52It calls me servant, it craves the souls that life has cast.
- 24:59For every breath that fades away, a shadow takes its hope.
- 25:05And from the ether nightmares bloom in stories yet untold.
- 25:11A headless night with spectral stride, a beast with shadowed frame.
- 25:17I stalk the night, untamed and wild, and whisper my dark name.
- 25:25Fourteen they were when Drake did sail a meagre flock indeed.
- 25:30But one by one the darkness calls and plants a fatal seed.
- 25:36The totem swells a hungry heart with every stolen breath.
- 25:43Though I conjure terror's vast, I dance with chilling death.
- 25:49I dreamt of riches, lands untold, a dynasty to claim.
- 25:53But now the horrors walk the earth and chant the totem's name.
- 26:00I hide in shadows, watch them hunt, the monsters of my mind, praying that at every soul consumed
- 26:07some mastery I'll find.
- 26:11Some swiftly love across the waves and bring your strength to bear.
- 26:17For soon I fear the beasts I birth will find me in their lair.
- 26:24Perhaps with more to feed its moor, this hunger will abate.
- 26:29And we shall rule this haunted isle, enthroned by cruelest fate.
- 26:35[Dramatic music]
- 26:42Whoa, look!
- 26:43Those books were written by Anton Shetkoff!
- 26:46It says Richard Ankoge.
- 26:49Aren't you a teacher?
- 26:50I just thought of his name.
- 26:52We did that so first time.
- 26:54I know.
- 26:55I'm like looking over at you guys like, "Yeah?"
- 26:56Yeah, yeah.
- 26:57It just hit me.
- 26:59There you go.
- 26:59I'm glad it hit you at least.
- 27:01Inside you flip through the pages, there's only three entries to this journal.
- 27:06And then the rest of the pages are completely blank.
- 27:08They're obviously very worn, very yellowed.
- 27:12You can still read at these three entries that are in here.
- 27:16The first one says, "October 22nd, Anodomini 1586.
- 27:24The power, the terrible power of this thing.
- 27:30I tested it, Elizabeth.
- 27:31I confess I did."
- 27:34There was fourteen fools who remained.
- 27:38I spun tales around the fire, dark imaginings of beasts and shadows.
- 27:44And they manifested horrors born of drunken whispers and fearful thoughts.
- 27:52They tore through the camp, Elizabeth, savagely, indiscriminately.
- 27:57Both follow me.
- 27:59It was just the beginning.
- 28:00Now, now there are none left but me.
- 28:05And they hunt me too.
- 28:08My own creations stalk the woods, their eyes burning with a hunger I myself ignited.
- 28:16This island, it has become a cage of my own making.
- 28:21I must flee.
- 28:22I must take a pin.
- 28:23I must go back to the mainland.
- 28:25Perhaps there, away from this cursed soil, I can find some respite from the nightmares
- 28:29I have unleashed.
- 28:30Hell, Justin, that's some impressive voice work you're doing there.
- 28:35How are you throwing your voice like that?
- 28:37That sounds like a completely different person.
- 28:39Oh, well, I did a lot of theatre when I was in school.
- 28:42Oh, wow, that's impressive.
- 28:44Can you do any other crazy voices?
- 28:47Uh, no, I pretty much just had the one.
- 28:50Oh, okay.
- 28:51Do this one in my Italian accent?
- 28:54No.
- 28:55How about a nice cockney accent?
- 28:57Nope.
- 28:58The second entry.
- 28:59November 15th, Anodomini, 1586.
- 29:04They follow, even here.
- 29:07On the mainland the shadows writhe with them.
- 29:10Sleep offers no escape, only visions of gnashing teeth and fiery eyes.
- 29:15Desperate, I sought one of their priests, a wizened old man from a tribe further inland.
- 29:23I showed him the totem, babbling of the horrors.
- 29:28He merely laughed, Elizabeth.
- 29:31A cold, mocking sound.
- 29:34He called it a demon, residing within the wood, said my suffering was punishment for
- 29:40my transgression against the aquasca cock.
- 29:45The original sin, he called it.
- 29:48The theft, the blame.
- 29:50He spoke of a ritual, a way to sever the connection.
- 29:53I must take the silver cup, the source of that first sin and the totem to a holy place.
- 29:59Only then, if I beg for repentance, if I confront my greatest sin, perhaps then the horrors
- 30:07will cease.
- 30:09He turns the page to the final entry in the notebook.
- 30:14The first, anodominy, 1586.
- 30:18The cup, the silver cobblet.
- 30:23I hid it, buried it near the fledgling gardens we tried to cultivate on the edge of the forest.
- 30:31I cannot bring myself to return to that cursed island, Elizabeth.
- 30:37Not of them waiting.
- 30:39But the priest's words, the only hope.
- 30:45I have drawn a map, my love.
- 30:48A crude thing, but it should guide you to it.
- 30:52Should you ever arrive on these shores with the next company.
- 30:58If I am not there, if the monsters have claimed me, take the cup and the other treasures I
- 31:06buried there, Elizabeth.
- 31:08Take it and the totem to that sanctuary rock the natives called it.
- 31:17Confess your greatest sin, your darkest secret that you hide within your heart.
- 31:25Perhaps you can find the peace that now eludes me.
- 31:32I have marked a map of the island on the next page.
- 31:37May God have mercy on my soul.
- 31:41And of course, you turn the page to find it torn out.
- 31:45Just as you finish these last words, Justin looks like he's about to say something when
- 31:53suddenly you hear another scream.
- 31:57And you look outside to see off in the distance the lighthouse.
- 32:05The big giant light kind of comes across you guys blinding you for a moment.
- 32:10And as it passes by, you regain your focus to see a giant massive alligator like creature
- 32:20leaned up against the side of the lighthouse.
- 32:24It's tails still sticking into the ocean behind it.
- 32:28And up in the window of the lighthouse up in the top, you see Ophelia and she is currently
- 32:36holding a giant burnt out lighthouse bulb.
- 32:41And she's hurling them down at this gator source.
- 32:47What do you do?
- 32:50It does exist.
- 32:53My gosh, even from here that thing looks massive.
- 32:57Oh, well wrestle it.
- 32:59Yeah, shorts.
- 33:01You're hitting it.
- 33:03Taking off running at the moment.
- 33:04Okay, he's just running right towards it.
- 33:07What are the rest of you guys doing?
- 33:08Hey, so where's that male?
- 33:11This is you guys are saying this as you're running.
- 33:13Not running.
- 33:14You're not running.
- 33:15You're just standing there in the chapel looking for the map.
- 33:16Okay, Justin says, I don't know.
- 33:19It looks like he got torn out.
- 33:20Oh, is he look right here and he shows you the frayed edges.
- 33:24You gotta be around here somewhere and Martin gets on his knees and he starts looking under
- 33:29all the pews crawling around.
- 33:31Okay, do a let's call this a investigate a mystery, I suppose.
- 33:38Four.
- 33:39Four.
- 33:40You, you find nothing there.
- 33:42This floor has been swept clean.
- 33:44Keep in mind that people have come in here and they have cleaned prior.
- 33:49This was just something that was like slightly defining the journal in general was just something
- 33:53that was slightly out of place.
- 33:55So you guys found it sure, but you don't see a page that's just kind of hanging around.
- 34:01You even take some of the the Bibles and the handles and stuff and you start kind of shaking
- 34:04the pages to see if maybe exactly nothing, nothing inside.
- 34:08Okay, it's probably in the back and he starts walking through the back of the chapel.
- 34:13Okay, the closets and stuff.
- 34:15Sounds good.
- 34:16I'm going to set you aside for the moment.
- 34:18You're searching diligently for this map that's gone missing.
- 34:22The other two of you, you guys have rushed out.
- 34:24I think Braden has rushed along with you.
- 34:26I'm going to say Justin stayed behind with Martin Fresh and Hazel.
- 34:31Hazel just stops halfway in between.
- 34:33Like I don't know what to do.
- 34:35She's looking at this giant alligator, this kaiju sized creature practically.
- 34:41Maybe not quite full kaiju, but like a bit, let's say baby kaiju.
- 34:47It's like leaned up and trying to bite at her.
- 34:51No, no, no, no.
- 34:53Okay, that's right.
- 34:54That's what I'm saying.
- 34:55Like baby kaiju.
- 34:56Let's say it's a baby kaiju.
- 34:57It's still really big.
- 34:59Oh yeah.
- 35:00No, I know.
- 35:01I know.
- 35:02Yeah.
- 35:03So this is like 20 feet.
- 35:04Yeah.
- 35:05Just for comparison, a quick Google search shows that the largest confirmed alligator
- 35:09is 19 feet long.
- 35:10What is this?
- 35:11Like double that?
- 35:12This is like like 30, 30.
- 35:14Here's what I'll say.
- 35:15It's not that it's just in a gator.
- 35:18It's got like features that like a dinosaur-esque features to it that allow it to basically
- 35:24be standing on its hind legs and almost reaching up with its maw to try to get Ophelia out
- 35:31of the top of this.
- 35:32Could you define a maw?
- 35:34Like its mouth.
- 35:35Yeah, sorry.
- 35:36And you're the alligator expert.
- 35:39Allegedly, he is.
- 35:41So as you rush up to it, Braden falling along behind you guys, again Hazel stopping about
- 35:46halfway, just not sure what even to do.
- 35:49What are you doing?
- 35:51Well, Sobie Joe, we already know.
- 35:54He's filming.
- 35:55Okay.
- 35:56Sobie Joe is filming.
- 35:57This creature, it bears a resemblance to a gator, but it's it's got even more prominent
- 36:05features of like a dinosaur, even more armor.
- 36:10I never in my wildest dreams did I expect it to be this massive.
- 36:16The rumors are true and more, but how, how do I, how do I capture this?
- 36:22How do I subdue it?
- 36:25Maybe it's like a Pokemon where you have to weaken it and then try to capture it.
- 36:30If it's anything like the other stuff we fought, they can apparently withstand getting shot
- 36:34multiple times.
- 36:35So kind of got a work cut out for us here.
- 36:38That's a very good point.
- 36:40And Sobie Joe's only got three bullets left.
- 36:42But I'm sure it is just a misunderstood creature.
- 36:45Why did I come with him?
- 36:47Well, whatever the case, it's trying to eat.
- 36:50It is trying to eat Ophelia right now.
- 36:53And I obviously, if you got its attention, there's a good chance it might try to eat
- 36:57you.
- 36:58So, how about it is just like recording.
- 37:01Okay.
- 37:02I don't think that's going to stop it from eating you.
- 37:04Well, no, it's not eat us or try and eat Ophelia.
- 37:06Well, I'm just saying if you draw its attention, I'm going to, I'm going to fix it in post
- 37:10with this guy because I've been recording.
- 37:12Oh, yeah.
- 37:13Okay.
- 37:14Okay.
- 37:15So you're saying you're in.
- 37:16See what I can't see.
- 37:17Okay.
- 37:18Sounds good.
- 37:1912.
- 37:2012.
- 37:21Okay.
- 37:22So you get to ask two questions.
- 37:24Now, technically speaking, 12 plus gives you it's an advanced thing that's separate.
- 37:29But I digress.
- 37:30You do get to ask two questions of the various things that are here.
- 37:34Can I be more specific or like more broad or is that to be still specific to the situation?
- 37:40What do you think?
- 37:41Like, what are, why are all of these monsters here?
- 37:44I mean, you kind of have an answer to that already with the totem, right?
- 37:47Well, yeah, I guess is there a way I can look through the footage and see if there's a specific
- 37:53area that they're trying to get to?
- 37:55Because if they're trying to get to the totem odds are they all trying to be kind of converging
- 38:00on the same place.
- 38:02So you're saying like, what was it going to do?
- 38:04Is there a be one pattern?
- 38:06Is there anything that all of these monsters seem to have in common?
- 38:10Okay.
- 38:11And they're tying here?
- 38:12Oh, yeah, I could answer that.
- 38:15They all and I you're going to think that this is a sarcastic answer.
- 38:18I promise it's not.
- 38:19They're all trying to get you.
- 38:23They're all trying not you specifically, but I just mean like your at least the three of
- 38:27you in the other campers, they're trying to get somebody kill somebody or whatever you
- 38:33want to call it.
- 38:34Is it a specific?
- 38:36Are they targeting one individual?
- 38:38No, because you have seen them target multiple different people.
- 38:41One of them tried to get or the scrungus was trying to get Justin before.
- 38:46Obviously was trying to get all of you at the campfire.
- 38:48Bigfoot was trying to pull the plug, which suggests that I mean, Bigfoot has some level
- 38:54of intelligence.
- 38:55Let's let's say that.
- 38:56So his was more of, I could stop them from getting access to things which would increase
- 39:02our chances of getting them.
- 39:05This one is trying to get Ophelia at the moment.
- 39:07The scrungus was just trying to get Hazel.
- 39:09So it's really anybody is fair game, but it's just the fact that they're not the only thing
- 39:14they're after essentially is violence.
- 39:16I have one more question.
- 39:18Yes.
- 39:19And I converse with my.
- 39:21Yeah, absolutely.
- 39:23You can at the very least converse with Greaves because he's here.
- 39:27Greaves.
- 39:28What should I be looking for?
- 39:30Or you could talk to Braden, which is me.
- 39:32I mean, should we get it's good to try to eat Ophelia?
- 39:36Shouldn't we like get rid of this?
- 39:38Well, yeah, we're trying to figure out how to do that.
- 39:41Yeah.
- 39:42Well, what about you Gator expert?
- 39:43What do you know about Gators?
- 39:44What's their weakness?
- 39:45How do we get rid of it?
- 39:46None.
- 39:47They are.
- 39:48Well, you can get them from the back, right?
- 39:49I think it's the underside technically, but I see what you're getting at.
- 39:52The underside.
- 39:53They're their nose is very sensitive.
- 39:55I think that sharks were going to play that their nose is very sensitive.
- 40:00You punch them in the eyes.
- 40:01What?
- 40:02I think the sharks.
- 40:03That is sharks' nose.
- 40:04Yes.
- 40:05Because divers will like push their nose away.
- 40:07Gators, they can like close their mouth really strong, but they can't open it.
- 40:11So like a trickle tape will keep their mouth shut.
- 40:13That's a fair point.
- 40:15But yeah, he is right now seeing that this Gator is like kind of leaned up against the
- 40:20lighthouse.
- 40:21So in essence, it is already kind of opened up eyes to the poles.
- 40:25You just need to some way to fasten it to the pole.
- 40:27And then that would be trapped or already rassled to said pole being the lighthouse.
- 40:33So I will look around for like a big chain or a rope or something that you assume a ship
- 40:40would more to the lighthouse.
- 40:41Sure.
- 40:42Yeah.
- 40:43With that being said, you do.
- 40:44I wasn't sure.
- 40:45Sorry.
- 40:46Were you trying to figure out which question to ask?
- 40:48I'm still trying to figure out which question to ask.
- 40:50Right.
- 40:51So I can't keep that in the back pocket for now.
- 40:53Sure.
- 40:54Okay.
- 40:55So it retains to the, yeah, the Gator source, but okay.
- 40:59So you're looking for a chain.
- 41:01I would say, I mean, it makes sense to me that there would be some kind of chain close by the
- 41:07lighthouses typically set up to obviously keep boats from crashing into the shores.
- 41:13That's the purpose of it.
- 41:15But as a seafaring related structure, I would say that, yeah, there's probably some chains
- 41:21lying around or at the very least some rope.
- 41:23So what I think we need to do, this is just like when I captured that saltwater crocodile
- 41:29on the Panama Canal.
- 41:31Wow.
- 41:32The Suez Canal.
- 41:33Now we're at least on the right continent.
- 41:35I was thinking, man, this is going to just go into the lore of Grieve's character that
- 41:41he has never done any.
- 41:42He was with geography.
- 41:43So it's so many canals.
- 41:45He got his Suez and his Panama Canal mixed up.
- 41:47Gotcha.
- 41:48Okay.
- 41:49So what is Suez Canal?
- 41:50Yes.
- 41:51But he's going to look for a rope and then he's going to basically just run around the
- 41:57lighthouse.
- 41:58Yeah.
- 41:59In essence, fastening the alligator to the lighthouse.
- 42:01Wow.
- 42:02Okay.
- 42:03He's going to require a distraction to which he is going to request that from either Justin
- 42:09or Joe.
- 42:11Justin's back at--
- 42:12Braden or Joe.
- 42:14Joe--Sopey Joe.
- 42:15Soopey Joe.
- 42:16Oh, Sobes Joseph?
- 42:17Yeah, Sobes Joseph.
- 42:19Okay.
- 42:20So Braden is more than happy to assist.
- 42:25Would you like--I'm going to give that to you as a plus one.
- 42:28He's assisting you.
- 42:29He's helping out by creating a distraction.
- 42:31I'm going to say that his distraction is that he runs up to the top lighthouse and joins
- 42:37Ophelia.
- 42:38It's like that would be the best distraction.
- 42:39Yeah.
- 42:40But fascinated with the top.
- 42:42Exactly.
- 42:43Not looking at you guys.
- 42:44Exactly.
- 42:45So with that being said, you've got the two--are the two of you doing the ropes because I'll
- 42:51let him help you with that.
- 42:53But he'll have to roll for it.
- 42:55To be fair with help out, I don't think--well, there technically is a negative.
- 43:00So I'll try now.
- 43:02Okay.
- 43:03Six.
- 43:04Six.
- 43:05Okay.
- 43:06You kind of fumble around with the ropes awkwardly and honestly it's really just taking up more
- 43:11time than it's worth.
- 43:12That camcorder won.
- 43:13Yeah, it's because he won't put the camcorder down.
- 43:16Oh my god.
- 43:17Get the footage.
- 43:18All right, mate.
- 43:19You're going to just hand that rope over to me and I'll do a couple of loops around this.
- 43:23It's when he's dealing with gators, man.
- 43:24It really comes out.
- 43:25We'll see if we can wrestle this beautiful beast.
- 43:29All right.
- 43:30Sounds good.
- 43:31So I'm going to have you act under pressure as you start to just--is it--you're like a
- 43:37hot speeder trying to wrap up the legs of this ATT.
- 43:41Except instead of a giant imperial ship, it's a giant gator sore.
- 43:46And you have a plus one on top.
- 43:48I do.
- 43:49Yeah, from Brayden helping you out with the distraction.
- 43:52That makes it a 12.
- 43:53Holy cow.
- 43:54Okay.
- 43:55So you do exactly what you set out to do.
- 43:56You start rushing around this lighthouse and occasionally you'll kind of like throw a loop
- 44:01up there to kind of get it hooked around some of its--what are those?
- 44:06Protrubrances.
- 44:07Protrubrances, which is--yeah, okay.
- 44:10And get a higher angle on it.
- 44:12But otherwise you manage to wrap up basically the entire lower half of this monstrosity to
- 44:18the lighthouse.
- 44:19And you do it without it really noticing because Brayden's doing a really great job at creating
- 44:23a distraction above.
- 44:24But by the time it does notice, it's already too late.
- 44:27Its whole under half of its body has been wrapped entirely.
- 44:31It starts just kind of struggling, but it's very awkward as it does.
- 44:36It's splashing its massive tail in the water below.
- 44:40You do feel a little bit of rickety movement on the lighthouse.
- 44:44There's some rope left.
- 44:46I mean, you just wrapped up a whole monster.
- 44:48If you want like a separate chunk of rope?
- 44:50Yes.
- 44:51Like this one would be a smaller rope.
- 44:53Okay.
- 44:54I'd say there might be more inside the lighthouse.
- 44:57People will search for one.
- 44:58Okay.
- 44:59So, we're going to get into the lighthouse.
- 45:01What's Soapy Joe doing?
- 45:02He's filming this thing.
- 45:03He's like, "Crikey guys, look at that monster."
- 45:07And speaking of monsters, I wanted to remind you guys that Monster Mash Energy Drinks has
- 45:12been the sponsor of this channel for two years.
- 45:15And you just kind of hear like, "Jay, what's going on with this ad?"
- 45:19All right.
- 45:20You run inside and I think Ophelia comes running down some of the stairs and she looks down,
- 45:25you know, it's like one of those spiral staircases.
- 45:28She looks down through the center and she's like, "Um, oh my gosh, what are you doing?"
- 45:32"I need more rope.
- 45:33I'm trying to save your life and rattle this Gator-saurus."
- 45:37There's some rope up here in Willy's office.
- 45:39I found Willy's office.
- 45:41I know we weren't supposed to go in there, but I went in there anyways.
- 45:44Desperate times called for desperate measures.
- 45:47And she said, "Do you want me to throw it down for you?"
- 45:49"On the double."
- 45:50"Okay."
- 45:51And she disappears and then moments later, just this chunk of rope just comes flying down
- 45:57and slams into the floor below you.
- 45:59"You're built."
- 46:00"Are you talking about me or the rope?"
- 46:02"Both of you.
- 46:03Thanks, Sheila."
- 46:04I mean, I think I should.
- 46:05I told you before, it's not Sheila, it's Onyx.
- 46:10My gosh.
- 46:11How many times do I have to tell you guys that?
- 46:13You now have another chunk of rope, another spindle, if you will.
- 46:17With his death wish at hand, Grieve Gershwin is going to run to the base of this Gator-saurus
- 46:25with all of its protrubarances that look strikingly similar to a rock wall.
- 46:32Oh, absolutely.
- 46:33Attempt to scale the back of this Gator-saurus.
- 46:36What?
- 46:37Wow.
- 46:38Okay.
- 46:39Once again, I mean, really act under pressure, really kind of falls under what we're looking
- 46:43for here.
- 46:44And you're climbing up, thing called, this is one of my moves, it's Killer's Wisdom.
- 46:48Okay.
- 46:49And says, "You've learned how to study your prey very well after three rounds to observe.
- 46:53Roll plus two sharp."
- 46:55Okay.
- 46:56So does that apply?
- 46:57Does that take a plie?
- 46:58Does that apply?
- 46:59Yeah, I'd say so.
- 47:00What is it?
- 47:01I mean, is it giving you something?
- 47:02On a ten plus hold stuff?
- 47:03What am I holding?
- 47:04So that's kind of like your help, right?
- 47:06So you're getting those pluses.
- 47:07Does it say how much?
- 47:08You can on a ten plus hold two, on a seven nine hold one, and then you spend your holds
- 47:13to do either par.
- 47:15It could be this exact situation.
- 47:17Okay, very cool.
- 47:18Okay, yeah, absolutely.
- 47:19So roll your sharp.
- 47:21You have studied Gators all your life.
- 47:23Alligators.
- 47:25You studied crocodiles.
- 47:26You know exactly what this Gatorsaurus would be all about.
- 47:29So that would be, I add my sharp to this, right?
- 47:33Yep.
- 47:34So that would be an eight.
- 47:35An eight.
- 47:36So you do get plus one.
- 47:37Okay.
- 47:38And then now you're going to go scale it.
- 47:39Do you want to, I mean, I guess you could decide when you want to use the plus one.
- 47:42Give yourself or another hunter plus one ongoing.
- 47:44Oh.
- 47:45Versus the monster until the, oh, you do two plus harm.
- 47:49Very nice.
- 47:50Okay.
- 47:51Would be the ongoing plus one.
- 47:52Sure.
- 47:53Yeah.
- 47:54So you do plus one to do anything really to this, this Gatorsaurus.
- 47:58You want to level up.
- 48:00Absolutely.
- 48:01Okay.
- 48:02So now they're going to act on your pressure.
- 48:03Yes.
- 48:04As you start to grab onto the scales and the protrusions and start to scale this creature.
- 48:11Protrusions.
- 48:12You used it so many times now it's canon.
- 48:13That's right.
- 48:14I think that's a 12 again.
- 48:15Holy cow.
- 48:16Okay.
- 48:17You, I mean, you easily nimbly.
- 48:18I mean, this thing is huge.
- 48:20It's got the protrusions are so big.
- 48:23Um, it's, it's easier than a rock climbing wall with or without cause you've got this
- 48:29rope around your back and you've got rope to kind of help you climb up as well that
- 48:33you've already wrapped around it.
- 48:35It's like, it's practically like walking up a steep cliff at this point.
- 48:38And with this rope in his mouth as he's scaling, this is for you, Steve.
- 48:43Okay.
- 48:44Zero.
- 48:45And you make it to, I mean, basically the head of this creature, which is flailing pretty
- 48:49proudly, but you're holding on tight like Legolas hanging off of a, an LF.
- 48:55What do they call them?
- 48:56Alley font.
- 48:57Alley font.
- 48:58Yes.
- 48:59All right.
- 49:00So you're on top of its head.
- 49:01What are you doing?
- 49:02Uh, he is going to use that little perk of information that soapy Joe had reminded him
- 49:07of that he probably should remember.
- 49:09Does that gators cannot open their mouth with excessive pressure?
- 49:12Right.
- 49:13It can only close.
- 49:14Gotcha.
- 49:15And you have to attempt to secure the maw of this Gators shut.
- 49:21Very nice.
- 49:22Okay.
- 49:23So you start to throw this rope around them and have you do one more act under pressure.
- 49:27I know I'm making it like just adding to the thrill, but you do still have the plus
- 49:32one on top of it.
- 49:33All right.
- 49:34I think that's another 12.
- 49:35Another 12.
- 49:36Okay.
- 49:37You start to throw this rope around, lassoing around the mouth of this giant Gatorsaurus,
- 49:43closing it up just in time as it has it open, it slams it shut at some point just in its
- 49:48frustration.
- 49:49You rope it off and it just does not seem to be able to open its mouth back up.
- 49:54So now it's just wriggling, uh, awkward, even more awkwardly than before.
- 49:58It cannot open its mouth and you scale back down easily.
- 50:02Much like the Legolas.
- 50:04Much like Legolas.
- 50:05Yes.
- 50:06It just slides right off of it.
- 50:07Absolutely.
- 50:08You slide all the way down the tail and then at the end, the tail kind of flicks up and
- 50:11you just hop off and roll onto the ground and declare if I, uh, Grieve Gershwin is probably
- 50:16way too cool to make all these Lord of the Rings reference.
- 50:19This is strictly fatty.
- 50:22Yeah.
- 50:23I will say, I will say that because you did so well with all of this added bonus, Sobie
- 50:30Joe got all of that on camera.
- 50:32It's all going on his YouTube channel, but he'll shout you out.
- 50:35Yeah.
- 50:36Yeah.
- 50:37You'll get, you know, shout out and link in the description, but you'll get a shout out.
- 50:40Well, see now you had to make an account and then that way everybody that sees his video
- 50:45will go check out your videos.
- 50:47Maybe with all that exposure, we'll be able to educate us onto why this creature was so
- 50:52distraught.
- 50:53There may be some type of habitat destruction that we can remedy.
- 50:57Hmm.
- 50:58This poor lass.
- 50:59This poor lass girl.
- 51:01Yeah.
- 51:02Yeah.
- 51:03There it is.
- 51:04It's decided as you stand there with the entirety of the Gator sword is completely wrapped up
- 51:09in rope.
- 51:10We will close out this episode.
- 51:24September 18th, Anno Domini 1588.
- 51:29The days grew shorter.
- 51:31The air colder and with them comes a terror that gnaws at the very soul of our settlement.
- 51:40The attacks, they have become relentless.
- 51:44Scarcely a night passes without some poor soul being dragged from their dwelling.
- 51:49Their screams swallowed by the oppressive darkness.
- 51:54We bar the doors.
- 51:56We keep watch, but it is not enough.
- 52:00I saw one father last night by the meagre light of the moon.
- 52:06A shape hunched and crooked, leaning forward as if borne down by some unseen weight.
- 52:13It moved with a horrifying speed.
- 52:17Its limbs are naturally long and jointed and its hands.
- 52:21Oh sweet Mary, its hands claws I tell you, fully a foot in length, black and wickedly
- 52:30sharp.
- 52:31I watched, frozen in terror as it fell upon one of our hogs.
- 52:37It tore it in half with a single swipe, the force of its sending entrails scattering in
- 52:44every direction.
- 52:45The sound, the wet, tearing sound.
- 52:50It will haunt my dreams forever.
- 52:56Only three dozen souls lost now.
- 53:00Three dozen!
- 53:02Our numbers dwindle with each passing night, and the faces of those who remain are etched
- 53:07with a fear that mirrors my own.
- 53:11Winter is fast approaching and our stores are still meagre.
- 53:15Hope, once a flickering candle, now threatens to be extinguished entirely.
- 53:23In their desperation, the elders have taken to carving.
- 53:27On that large rock by the northernmost palisade, the one they say the first company used for
- 53:32prayer, they work tirelessly.
- 53:36Holy runes they whisper, ancient symbols of protection.
- 53:39They carve them deep into the stone, their knorled hands moving with a frantic urgency.
- 53:46They pray, they chant.
- 53:50Their voices hoarse with fear and supplication.
- 53:53They call it sanctuary rock, our last hope against the encroaching darkness.
- 54:00I pray it is enough, Father.
- 54:03I pray that these markings, these desperate pleas to a higher power, can shield us from
- 54:09the horrors that stalk our knights.
- 54:12My fear, with every fiber of my being, that they cannot...
