- 0:08Speaker 1: Advice. Welcome to the Naughty but Night Share. It is Tuesday.
- 0:19Speaker 1: I am robbed shoes here every Tuesday. A dear friend,
- 0:22Speaker 1: Delana Dixon joins us. Hey, mistery are you there? I am.
- 0:26Speaker 1: You had a very exciting week last week. You had family,
- 0:29Speaker 1: and I did. My sister turned up at my nephew
- 0:33Speaker 1: his lovely girlfriend, Susie. It was. It was a really
- 0:36Speaker 1: lovely couple of days and I missed them. Misty. It's
- 0:39Speaker 1: an amazing family. It's so important, isn't it. It's so
- 0:42Speaker 1: lovely to have them around. Although I got to say,
- 0:45Speaker 1: we ran around the city like crazy people. There's a
- 0:48Speaker 1: lot of things to see in New York there is.
- 0:51Speaker 1: We did everything. We even went out to see the
- 0:53Speaker 1: Statue of Liberty. Mr. I did all the touristy thing.
- 0:58Speaker 1: But we had a great, great time. See your family.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Pick up a phone today, give somebody a call. Hey,
- 1:04Speaker 1: let's jump into the show My Friends One time. As
- 1:08Speaker 1: Robin Roberts from g M, A is admitting that she
- 1:11Speaker 1: was afraid of being outed. So Robin revealed that she
- 1:15Speaker 1: was terrified she was going to be added as a
- 1:17Speaker 1: gay woman if she interviewed Barack Obama on the subject
- 1:22Speaker 1: of marriage equality back in twenty twelve of So it
- 1:27Speaker 1: is at the time when President Obama signed the Marriage
- 1:30Speaker 1: Equality Act. This the loud gay people to get married,
- 1:34Speaker 1: and they wanted to do a big, big interview to
- 1:36Speaker 1: announce this. They approached Good Morning America and they wanted
- 1:39Speaker 1: to sit down with Robin Roberts. Now at the time,
- 1:42Speaker 1: she was still in the closet. She said, I was
- 1:45Speaker 1: not out publicly yet as being gay, and I was
- 1:47Speaker 1: afraid that I might be outed, that people might wonder
- 1:51Speaker 1: why is she the one interviewing the president when he
- 1:54Speaker 1: is making a change in his stance. So before twelve
- 2:00Speaker 1: of President o Bomber had not supported this, He had
- 2:03Speaker 1: been on the fence about it. He finally had supported it,
- 2:06Speaker 1: thank goodness, and he wanted to do a big interview.
- 2:09Speaker 1: So when when you when you're the president, when you're
- 2:11Speaker 1: a big star and you want to do a big interview,
- 2:13Speaker 1: you call who you want to talk to. Basically everybody
- 2:17Speaker 1: in the world wanted this interview, Oprah, everybody at the
- 2:21Speaker 1: Today Show. They decided to go with Robin Roberts. Now
- 2:24Speaker 1: in the business, we all knew Robin was gay. So
- 2:27Speaker 1: is that one of the reasons they picked her. Maybe
- 2:29Speaker 1: the problem is is at the time she wasn't out
- 2:33Speaker 1: of the closet. She said, she was so scared and
- 2:36Speaker 1: then it was like a scene and a moonstruck that
- 2:38Speaker 1: fabulous movie with chair and she had to slap herself
- 2:41Speaker 1: and say, snap out of it. Robin, what are you thinking.
- 2:44Speaker 1: It's not about you. This man is going to impact
- 2:47Speaker 1: countless lives. He changed my life. Like when we talk
- 2:50Speaker 1: about politics, and we don't on this show, but this
- 2:53Speaker 1: changed my life. Very few politicians actually change your lives.
- 2:57Speaker 1: This change my life. Because of this, I was allowed
- 3:01Speaker 1: to get married. Robin said. It was just such a
- 3:03Speaker 1: big moment that she had to do it. And then
- 3:06Speaker 1: shortly afterwards, she came out herself on social media by
- 3:10Speaker 1: talking about her partner, who she's been with for years.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Cover to questions mistake A. You knew Robbing Roberts was gay.
- 3:18Speaker 1: We all knew that in the business. Be we surprised
- 3:21Speaker 1: that it took her so long to come out of
- 3:22Speaker 1: the closet. Personally, I think you shouldn't have to come
- 3:25Speaker 1: out of the closet. It shouldn't matter whether you're straight
- 3:27Speaker 1: or gay, whatever your orientation is. It should just be
- 3:31Speaker 1: a part of life and we shouldn't have to come
- 3:33Speaker 1: out of closets. But in this business, people do judge you.
- 3:36Speaker 1: So I can understand why she wanted to wait so long,
- 3:39Speaker 1: But it's so sad and frustrating that she was able
- 3:42Speaker 1: to talk about her cancer diagnosis, which is personal medical information,
- 3:47Speaker 1: but not being able to be her true, authentic self.
- 3:51Speaker 1: And just like she said, she had to snap out
- 3:53Speaker 1: of it because she was going to be a part
- 3:55Speaker 1: of history in this and having marriage quality finally be
- 3:59Speaker 1: some thing that was a part of the American scene.
- 4:03Speaker 1: So I understand why she felt she couldn't come out,
- 4:07Speaker 1: but you shouldn't have to. You should be able to
- 4:09Speaker 1: just be yourself and whatever you are, be comfortable and
- 4:13Speaker 1: people respect that. Yeah, I agree with you, Obviously I
- 4:15Speaker 1: agree with you, but that's not always the case. There
- 4:18Speaker 1: are a lot of judgments. It's a very big country,
- 4:21Speaker 1: lots of people, particularly now, there's lots of laws that
- 4:24Speaker 1: seemed to be going into place. A friend of mine
- 4:26Speaker 1: was in the closet for a really long time and
- 4:28Speaker 1: I always encouraged him to come out publicly. I always
- 4:32Speaker 1: encouraged him, but he had to find the right moment himself.
- 4:36Speaker 1: You can never ever find this moment for somebody, And
- 4:40Speaker 1: I can't imagine being as famous as Robin Roberts, who
- 4:43Speaker 1: had kept this a secret from the public pretty much
- 4:46Speaker 1: her whole career. She had never really spoken about this,
- 4:50Speaker 1: and I think to being a woman of color added
- 4:53Speaker 1: even more impact to her decision. What do you think
- 4:57Speaker 1: do I think? So? I mean, you have a certain
- 5:00Speaker 1: image that you're trying to portray to the world. It's all.
- 5:03Speaker 1: It's already a challenge, at least in my personal opinion,
- 5:06Speaker 1: to be a woman in this country, to be a
- 5:08Speaker 1: person of color, and then you add one more element
- 5:11Speaker 1: that people are going to judge you on it. It
- 5:13Speaker 1: can be overwhelming, It can be kind of self deafening.
- 5:17Speaker 1: And so I think she was like, I need to
- 5:19Speaker 1: keep this part of my life private. But by coming
- 5:22Speaker 1: out and saying who she is authentically, she's made it
- 5:26Speaker 1: so much easier for other women, for other people of
- 5:29Speaker 1: color who are gay, who want to go into this
- 5:32Speaker 1: business and be themselves and not have to hide it.
- 5:35Speaker 1: So kudos to her. Kudos to which brings us to
- 5:38Speaker 1: my pole question of the day. Robin Roberts was afraid
- 5:41Speaker 1: of being out? It should she have come out earlier?
- 5:44Speaker 1: I find in life, if you're frightened of something, if
- 5:48Speaker 1: you do it first, then the fear goes away. Give
- 5:52Speaker 1: away your power. If you've got a secret, my friend,
- 5:55Speaker 1: and we all do to different degrees, if you talk
- 5:58Speaker 1: about it first, it's ups being quite as scary. So
- 6:01Speaker 1: should Robin have come out earlier? Go out on a
- 6:05Speaker 1: trid page at Naughty Nice Robber on Facebook page which
- 6:08Speaker 1: is Naughty Gossip and be sure to take back to
- 6:11Speaker 1: morrow your results, miss d What are you working on? Well?
- 6:15Speaker 1: Sharon Osborne is spilling the tea on her departure from
- 6:19Speaker 1: the Talk a year ago, and she is saying it all.
- 6:23Speaker 1: So basically, she said they told her after all the
- 6:26Speaker 1: debacle that went down that she was on permanent suspension.
- 6:30Speaker 1: They didn't feel she was sorry enough and we will
- 6:33Speaker 1: decide if you come back when you come back, if ever,
- 6:36Speaker 1: and so she asked, who's going to make that decision
- 6:39Speaker 1: and they told her, we can't tell you. So she
- 6:42Speaker 1: just was dealing with the trolling online and death threats
- 6:46Speaker 1: and how after being in the US for forty years,
- 6:50Speaker 1: basically her phone was silent, it wasn't ringing, nobody was
- 6:53Speaker 1: calling her, and she said everybody was scared of saying
- 6:56Speaker 1: something wrong that somebody would take and sell. It's no
- 7:00Speaker 1: way to bloody live. That's how you Britt's talk. I
- 7:05Speaker 1: don't want it, I don't need it. It was just
- 7:07Speaker 1: time to go home. So she's actually moving back to
- 7:10Speaker 1: the UK. She's going to live there, she's going to
- 7:13Speaker 1: work there. She's actually joined a new British channel called
- 7:16Speaker 1: Talk TV. Piers Morgan is one of the headliners on
- 7:19Speaker 1: it and she will be doing some some projects there.
- 7:22Speaker 1: So hey, she's going home. How do you feel about
- 7:25Speaker 1: her going back to England. I love Sharon in the UK,
- 7:29Speaker 1: they love Pis Morgan. They're going to be on the
- 7:31Speaker 1: same channel together. It makes me sad that after almost
- 7:34Speaker 1: a decade on the Talk that after she was fired
- 7:36Speaker 1: poof it all disappeared, all that amazing work that Sharon did.
- 7:41Speaker 1: She's very entertained. I've been on that show many time.
- 7:43Speaker 1: I've been a guest on the show and Sharon's just delightful,
- 7:46Speaker 1: just so funny, such great TV. And then suddenly nobody
- 7:50Speaker 1: returns any of your calls. It's really important in life.
- 7:54Speaker 1: I say this to my friends and also people I
- 7:57Speaker 1: work with. When things are going well, it's easy to
- 8:01Speaker 1: be nice and to send an email and all celebrate.
- 8:04Speaker 1: It's in my life when things have gone bad, when
- 8:06Speaker 1: I've been fired, when I've been let go. That's the
- 8:09Speaker 1: moments that I know who my friends are. So if
- 8:11Speaker 1: a friend, if somebody that you know is going through
- 8:14Speaker 1: a bad moment, text them, email them. Just something short.
- 8:19Speaker 1: I'm thinking of you, I've got your back, I love you.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Just a really short little text, and I know you're
- 8:24Speaker 1: going to be like, they don't want to hear from me,
- 8:26Speaker 1: They're so busy. It's not true. If you text somebody
- 8:30Speaker 1: or contact somebody when they are down, when they're back
- 8:33Speaker 1: on top, they will remember it's not only the smart
- 8:38Speaker 1: thing to do, it's the right thing to do. It's
- 8:41Speaker 1: really a good move, Nansty. Can you do this if
- 8:44Speaker 1: you see somebody that you know who's going through something
- 8:47Speaker 1: quite public, quite ugly, can you reach out? Absolutely, Especially
- 8:53Speaker 1: for my strong core of friends when they're going through something,
- 8:57Speaker 1: you want to be there for them. Now, I will
- 8:58Speaker 1: admit I always want to find in the answer. So
- 9:00Speaker 1: I'm like, how are we going to get through this?
- 9:02Speaker 1: How can we make it right? And I'm learning as
- 9:04Speaker 1: I get older, sometimes you just need to step back
- 9:06Speaker 1: and listen. I think you'll learn that less than the
- 9:09Speaker 1: most when you become an adult and you actually start
- 9:11Speaker 1: having real conversations with your parents and you realize sometimes
- 9:15Speaker 1: they just need you to listen. So it's becoming a
- 9:19Speaker 1: part of my process, not to solve the problem, but
- 9:21Speaker 1: just to be there. Don't solve the problem. I love that.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Don't think you have to solve the problem, just be
- 9:27Speaker 1: there to listen. Hey, moving along, Chris Jennerary is facing
- 9:31Speaker 1: backlash after being very rude to her driver. So on
- 9:34Speaker 1: a new episode of The Kardashians, which I'm really enjoying
- 9:36Speaker 1: on Hulu, Chris was really rude to her driver. So
- 9:41Speaker 1: let me set the scene there in the car Chloe
- 9:43Speaker 1: and Chris, they're coming to New York to support Kim
- 9:46Speaker 1: on Saturday Night Live, and Chris asks the driver to
- 9:49Speaker 1: get out of the car because she wants a private
- 9:51Speaker 1: conversation with Chloe. Fair enough, nobody's blaming about that, but
- 9:55Speaker 1: the way she did it was just the awful people
- 9:57Speaker 1: are saying, and I agree. So once the driver stepped
- 9:59Speaker 1: out of the her, Chris said, is his window rolled up?
- 10:03Speaker 1: And Chloe said, yes, the window has rolled up, but
- 10:05Speaker 1: the trunk is open, and Chris immediately yelled out close
- 10:09Speaker 1: the trunk. No, please, thank you, nothing, just clowers that trunk, Chloe,
- 10:15Speaker 1: are like, stop yelling at the sky. And then Chris
- 10:19Speaker 1: carried on screaming clowers that trunk. Thankfully, Chloe took it
- 10:24Speaker 1: into her own hands and asked the driver herself politely
- 10:27Speaker 1: to close to the trunk, saying, excuse me, sir, would
- 10:30Speaker 1: you mind closing the trunk for a moment. Thank you
- 10:33Speaker 1: so much. I hate I hate it when people are
- 10:36Speaker 1: rude to drivers, to wait staff in restaurants. I hate it, Missy,
- 10:42Speaker 1: you've been with me, mister. If somebodey in our group,
- 10:45Speaker 1: our friendship group and meeting group is rude to a waiter,
- 10:48Speaker 1: I'm done. I say something. I'm like, don't do that,
- 10:51Speaker 1: and I'm with you on that. But I have a
- 10:53Speaker 1: slightly different take on this than maybe most people. First
- 10:57Speaker 1: of all, let's face it, Chris is the queen of
- 11:02Speaker 1: reality show. She built an entire emperor, and she's a mom.
- 11:07Speaker 1: So I'm thinking, I want to make good television and
- 11:10Speaker 1: I want to make my children look fabulous, So why
- 11:14Speaker 1: don't I do something that's unacceptable. I can handle it.
- 11:17Speaker 1: I can handle the social media backlash and let Chloe
- 11:21Speaker 1: look like the darling. That's my personal There were cameras running.
- 11:29Speaker 1: She knew, she knew. Not only were the cameras there,
- 11:32Speaker 1: they get edited approval of the new show, so it's
- 11:35Speaker 1: not live, it's not streaming live. This it's not streaming live.
- 11:39Speaker 1: This is all edited, and Chris and the family do
- 11:42Speaker 1: get edit approval, so she approved all this. You're right,
- 11:45Speaker 1: mistake once again, You are right. Hey, moving along, what's
- 11:48Speaker 1: going on with another car? Dashian? I believe Kim and
- 11:51Speaker 1: Pete have made a very rare appearance together. Their relationship
- 11:56Speaker 1: just keeps going further and further and getting ger and stronger.
- 12:00Speaker 1: So they made a rare official appearance together at the
- 12:04Speaker 1: twenty three annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in Washington,
- 12:09Speaker 1: d C. It sounds very, very scholarly. Now, they didn't
- 12:12Speaker 1: walk any red carpets, but they were spotted chilling in
- 12:16Speaker 1: the audience together. They have been together since Kim was
- 12:19Speaker 1: on Saturday Night Live, which actually that's where the car
- 12:22Speaker 1: situation happened with Chris and Chloe, so it's all tied together.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Very interesting. Yeah, I think these two are so cute together.
- 12:29Speaker 1: They are the real deal. I'm told they're going to
- 12:31Speaker 1: go to the White House correspondent dinner together, Kim and
- 12:34Speaker 1: Peter turning up there. Kim's very political and so she's
- 12:38Speaker 1: been to the White House once before, I'm sure as
- 12:40Speaker 1: she wants to go again. Criminal justice reform is something
- 12:43Speaker 1: that's very very important to Kim Kardashian. So these two
- 12:47Speaker 1: get get ready. We're going to see more of them,
- 12:49Speaker 1: more of them. And I also believe they're going to
- 12:51Speaker 1: turn up at the netball together, which is a fabulous
- 12:54Speaker 1: place to make your red carpet debut. Hateful, before we
- 12:58Speaker 1: got a break, former President Trump is saying that Prince
- 13:00Speaker 1: Harry is whipped by Megan and he's calling for the
- 13:02Speaker 1: Queen to strip them of their royal titles. So he's
- 13:05Speaker 1: very clear he's not a fan of Megan Markel. Now
- 13:08Speaker 1: he's going after Prince Harry too, saying he's whipped and
- 13:11Speaker 1: he is an embarrassment. And he also predicts this is cruel.
- 13:15Speaker 1: He also predicts that the couple will end in divorce,
- 13:18Speaker 1: saying it will end and it's going to end really
- 13:20Speaker 1: really bad. That's a mean thing to say about anybody.
- 13:23Speaker 1: What do you think, mister maybe we need to have
- 13:26Speaker 1: a little lesson here. But if I'm not mistaken, Prince
- 13:29Speaker 1: Harry and Megan gave up their hr H titles, So
- 13:33Speaker 1: they actually did give up their titles. So that's the
- 13:36Speaker 1: first thing. And everybody's acting like this is a precedent
- 13:39Speaker 1: that they've said, do we not remember Edward the Eighth
- 13:42Speaker 1: who actually gave up the crown so he could marry
- 13:45Speaker 1: an American divorcee, Wallace Simpson back in nineteen thirty six.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Like I said, I'm gonna do a little history lesson here,
- 13:52Speaker 1: so this is not the first time. And Prince Harry,
- 13:56Speaker 1: I mean, yes, he is in line for the throne,
- 13:58Speaker 1: but chances of happening are pretty much now. So why
- 14:01Speaker 1: are people getting so torn up that this man decided
- 14:04Speaker 1: that he was going to love this black woman and
- 14:07Speaker 1: have the life that he always wanted to lead. I
- 14:09Speaker 1: think you've just answered the question, Misty. Let's say no
- 14:13Speaker 1: more about it, because we're going to take look at
- 14:15Speaker 1: you feeling proud of yourself. I can see your debts
- 14:18Speaker 1: in the way on the zoo, and we're gonna take
- 14:20Speaker 1: a quick bag and we will be right back. Welcome
- 14:25Speaker 1: back to the Marty Even nice show. I'm sure to
- 14:28Speaker 1: your friend mister, Hey, misste let's get to the polls.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Do dot do you very match? So Prince William will
- 14:34Speaker 1: not respond to Prince Harry hinting that the Queen needs
- 14:38Speaker 1: to be protected from the people around her. Was this
- 14:42Speaker 1: a dig by Harry? When Harry said this was it
- 14:44Speaker 1: a dig, let's have a look and said, yes, Harry
- 14:47Speaker 1: knew exactly what he was doing. He's playing a masterful
- 14:50Speaker 1: game here, Misty. It's such a shady thing to say,
- 14:53Speaker 1: because you sort of throw everybody under the bus without
- 14:55Speaker 1: throwing anybody under the bus, but saying he wants to
- 14:58Speaker 1: pretend her from people around her. Oh, it's shady. What
- 15:02Speaker 1: do you think. It's just a little sun from Harry.
- 15:07Speaker 1: We've talked about this so many times. I just feel
- 15:10Speaker 1: these brothers, like you say, need to be in a room,
- 15:12Speaker 1: no cameras, no social media, nobody hiding in the curtains
- 15:16Speaker 1: like we would be doing with a tape recorder and
- 15:19Speaker 1: just hash it out. This is family, This is still blood.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Forget to the rest of the world. In the end,
- 15:25Speaker 1: the people that support you the most usually are your blood.
- 15:29Speaker 1: So solve this. Wouldn't it be nice if this wasn't news. Guys,
- 15:33Speaker 1: if you had nothing to to put out there, nobody
- 15:36Speaker 1: would have any news on that, so you could just
- 15:38Speaker 1: go on living your very very public life, right right right.
- 15:42Speaker 1: I think in my life too, when I've stopped taking
- 15:44Speaker 1: digs at people, subtle digs, life gets better. I used
- 15:48Speaker 1: to waste so much time thinking about how can I
- 15:50Speaker 1: get them? What can I say that's witty and me
- 15:53Speaker 1: and what can I do? Don't bother, it's a waste
- 15:56Speaker 1: of time. Get myself a vodka, so to recab. Don
- 16:00Speaker 1: don't be so shady. He so shady, especially with friends
- 16:04Speaker 1: and family. Okay, don't forget to vote on Today's Paul
- 16:06Speaker 1: going to a Twitter page and naughty noise drama and
- 16:09Speaker 1: Facebook page is naughty gossip. You can leave a comment there.
- 16:12Speaker 1: I'm make sure to take back tomorrow to hear your results.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Him is, do you let's do a nice nic of
- 16:20Speaker 1: the day. Well, this is kind of a surprise. The
- 16:23Speaker 1: nicest of the day is actually Leah Michelle because she
- 16:26Speaker 1: would do anything for her bestie, Jonathan Croft, even Carrie
- 16:31Speaker 1: his baby. Okay. Leo got married to Zandy Reich and
- 16:36Speaker 1: they welcomed the son ever in August Jonathan Groth is gay,
- 16:40Speaker 1: but she said if he ever wants to have a baby,
- 16:43Speaker 1: she would carry it. So he just has having baby
- 16:47Speaker 1: fever now. The two of them, they're actually celebrating the
- 16:50Speaker 1: fifteenth anniversary of the Broadway musical Spring Awakening, which is
- 16:54Speaker 1: coming a special version to HBO on May three. So
- 16:58Speaker 1: basically she said him, I will carry your baby if
- 17:01Speaker 1: you want to have a baby, I will, and he
- 17:04Speaker 1: said you will and she said, I love being pregnant.
- 17:07Speaker 1: It's so much fun. And he said, good to know. So,
- 17:12Speaker 1: I mean, it's just good of it's kind of cute
- 17:14Speaker 1: when you're that close to a friend that you'd carry
- 17:16Speaker 1: a baby. I've actually, I have to be honest, I've
- 17:19Speaker 1: actually been asked by in the past, not today, but
- 17:23Speaker 1: in the past, I've been asked, Hey, if we decided
- 17:25Speaker 1: to have a baby, would you carry it for us?
- 17:27Speaker 1: And I was like, I'll have to think about that
- 17:31Speaker 1: a lot of commitment. Hey, I know, he's the day,
