Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey friends. This week we are sharing some encore presentations
- 0:03Speaker 1: of episodes from throughout the years in honor of our
- 0:07Speaker 1: fifth anniversary over here at Girls Gone Hallmark. We've picked
- 0:12Speaker 1: one episode from each year, a standout episode, a notable episode,
- 0:16Speaker 1: an episode we just like, and we're kicking it off
- 0:19Speaker 1: today with on the twelfth date of Christmas. You know, Wendy,
- 0:23Speaker 1: this was our Tyler Hines' origin story. It is yes,
- 0:26Speaker 1: and I'm I haven't listened to this episode in five years,
- 0:30Speaker 1: and I'm a little afraid of what I said. I
- 0:34Speaker 1: think if you listen to this episode and you're like,
- 0:37Speaker 1: what is going on? Things have changed since we started. Obviously,
- 0:41Speaker 1: Girls cutt Homework was originally a bonus episode on another podcast,
- 0:45Speaker 1: so you'll hear that in the introduction. Our format has changed,
- 0:49Speaker 1: news and notes has changed. Myater satish that's changed, you know.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Just enjoy this throwback look at our first Tyler Hines
- 1:00Speaker 1: movie on the twelfth date of Christmas. This is a
- 1:07Speaker 1: Bramble Jam podcast. Hey everybody, I'm Megan, I'm Wendy, and
- 1:29Speaker 1: welcome to Girls Gone Christmas, a series of bonus episodes
- 1:33Speaker 1: from Long Story Short the podcast, and one thing you
- 1:36Speaker 1: should know about us is I am the Christmas Queen.
- 1:38Speaker 1: I watch all the Hallmark movies every year, and Wendy
- 1:42Speaker 1: does not, not at all. This is my first year
- 1:47Speaker 1: watching these Hallmark movies ever. Can you believe? I was
- 1:51Speaker 1: actually shocked to find that information out in the arm
- 1:54Speaker 1: shocked at it. There's such a big audience for these,
- 1:59Speaker 1: I am wait. I think you knew the audience existed
- 2:04Speaker 1: because everyone's sort of talking about it. I know. It's
- 2:06Speaker 1: just like, why am I such a scrooge? I don't
- 2:08Speaker 1: want to watch people fall in love in a Christmasy town?
- 2:12Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't know. I think that's part
- 2:15Speaker 1: of the appeal, is that it's so absurd and it
- 2:17Speaker 1: is so far from reality that it's easy for these
- 2:20Speaker 1: to be totally escapist, which today we're going to be
- 2:25Speaker 1: discussing on the twelfth date of Christmas. Not to be
- 2:28Speaker 1: confused with any other iteration of the combination of words,
- 2:32Speaker 1: of which there are many, right, so confusing. It has
- 2:36Speaker 1: a confusing titles the synopsis, Yeah no, it's all right.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Here we go. Two seemingly incompatible game designers team up
- 2:45Speaker 1: to create a romantic, citywide scaventer Hunt themed for the
- 2:49Speaker 1: twelve Days of Christmas starring Mallory Jansen and Tyler Heines.
- 2:55Speaker 1: I need to tell you that Tyler Hines is my
- 2:59Speaker 1: favorite Hallmark Movie actor male actor Megan. He is very hot.
- 3:07Speaker 1: I loved him. I googled him today. I've embarrassed. I
- 3:15Speaker 1: googled him today and there was a couple of pictures
- 3:18Speaker 1: with his shirt off. I was like, I'm gonna watch
- 3:21Speaker 1: it every movie this guy isn't the past two years
- 3:24Speaker 1: he has been paired with Hallmark Movie actresses who are
- 3:28Speaker 1: not my favorite. Last year he was with Kelly Pickler,
- 3:31Speaker 1: and the year before that it was le Anne Rimes.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I gotta tell you I like them individually, they don't
- 3:37Speaker 1: do it for me as Hallmark movie actors. I feel
- 3:39Speaker 1: like this year he has been given an equal match.
- 3:43Speaker 1: I was so happy to see. I thought they had
- 3:47Speaker 1: great chemistry. I already we were headed in the right
- 3:51Speaker 1: direction with this movie. Okay, I'm okay. Was he wearing
- 3:56Speaker 1: a wig or to pay of some sort in this
- 3:59Speaker 1: I don't think so. I think he has good hair.
- 4:01Speaker 1: I thought his hairline looked a little weird, and so
- 4:05Speaker 1: that's why I was trying to google him this morning
- 4:07Speaker 1: to see if like he had different hair or not.
- 4:09Speaker 1: But and did he not? Really? So I don't. I
- 4:12Speaker 1: want you to take a look back if you can,
- 4:15Speaker 1: and just tell me if you think that he is
- 4:17Speaker 1: wearing fake hair or not. I will I just think
- 4:21Speaker 1: he has good hair, but I will look Okay, So
- 4:24Speaker 1: what we've been doing with these recaps we talk about
- 4:27Speaker 1: what we loved, what we wish would have happened, and
- 4:30Speaker 1: some plot holes. So where do you want to start.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Let's start with what we loved. Okay. I loved so
- 4:37Speaker 1: many of the supporting characters in this movie. I loved
- 4:41Speaker 1: Jennifer's co worker Annie. I wish she had gotten more
- 4:44Speaker 1: screen time. I totally wore everything Annie was wearing when
- 4:48Speaker 1: I worked in a corporate job. I don't know if
- 4:51Speaker 1: you noticed, but it was like a cardigan and a
- 4:54Speaker 1: plaid dress. Yes, that's what I wore all the time.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Did you notice that Jennifer, the main character, wore that
- 5:02Speaker 1: same pencil skirt a lot or yes, a variation thereof
- 5:06Speaker 1: Was she wearing the same skirt through the entire movie?
- 5:09Speaker 1: I think it was a variation. It was a turtleneck
- 5:12Speaker 1: and pencil skirt everyday, solid color pencil skirt. It was
- 5:16Speaker 1: like a plaid pencil skirt, solid turtleneck. Yes, yes, I noticed.
- 5:21Speaker 1: I was like, I loved I mean, I loved her look.
- 5:23Speaker 1: I thought she was beautiful. But I was like, could
- 5:25Speaker 1: we get like a change up in the pencil skirt,
- 5:27Speaker 1: like a solid or a different look at anyway, totally no,
- 5:30Speaker 1: I noticed. I noticed. I also loved mister Romano, her neighbor.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Oh my god, that was so sweet when she left
- 5:38Speaker 1: that Reese for him, and then she runs into him
- 5:42Speaker 1: at the Christmas tree Farm and discovers that he has
- 5:44Speaker 1: not been ignoring her, but he takes his hearing its out,
- 5:48Speaker 1: doesn't have anyone to talk to me. I know, I know,
- 5:50Speaker 1: I thought that was really nice. Actually I did too,
- 5:53Speaker 1: and they brought it full circle. You know, he made
- 5:57Speaker 1: a friendship with her grandmother, speaking of whom I also
- 6:01Speaker 1: loved her grandmother. So I was not that, you know,
- 6:07Speaker 1: entranced by the supporting characters, because I think all I
- 6:10Speaker 1: could look at was the main characters. Yeah, let me
- 6:14Speaker 1: just preface this. I watched this movie with my husband
- 6:17Speaker 1: last night. Yes, as did I, and the only thing
- 6:22Speaker 1: that he well, he enjoyed it too, but throughout the
- 6:26Speaker 1: entire movie he was like, this is so sexual harassment.
- 6:29Speaker 1: These two should not be touching each other giving each
- 6:33Speaker 1: other looks like this. This is widely inappropriate for someone
- 6:37Speaker 1: who works together. And I just laughed so hard because
- 6:40Speaker 1: he was like, oh, no, call hr about that. But
- 6:44Speaker 1: I so I could understand that they were definitely crossing
- 6:48Speaker 1: a line. However, it was mutual. There was not really
- 6:51Speaker 1: a point, did right. I didn't feel like there was
- 6:54Speaker 1: a point at which he was making unwanted advances toward her. No,
- 6:59Speaker 1: I'm just kept They kept getting each other. They had
- 7:01Speaker 1: these moments where they give each other looks and did
- 7:04Speaker 1: you notice, like when she invited him over to help
- 7:08Speaker 1: trim the Christmas tree, that she gave eyes to the roommate,
- 7:11Speaker 1: like to get the hell out of there. Yes, she
- 7:13Speaker 1: was like, oh, it's okay, like and then her roommate
- 7:16Speaker 1: made up an excuse to bounce yes. Yes, And I
- 7:21Speaker 1: appreciate their silent little signal there. It was very funny. Okay,
- 7:26Speaker 1: what else did you love? I loved the moment when
- 7:30Speaker 1: Aiden began to thaw. He was this like grumpy man
- 7:35Speaker 1: who did not want to work with a partner. He
- 7:39Speaker 1: was not super receptive to her ideas. He was kind
- 7:42Speaker 1: of a jerk. He was a real jerk. About thirty
- 7:47Speaker 1: forty minutes in he starts to kind of thaw out.
- 7:50Speaker 1: And I appreciated that it that came fairly quickly, and
- 7:54Speaker 1: he even owns it. He's like, yeah, that was kind
- 7:56Speaker 1: of terrible the way I talked to you. So I
- 7:57Speaker 1: appreciated that. And then from then on out, we don't
- 8:00Speaker 1: really see that from him anymore. And I loved that
- 8:04Speaker 1: because the second he started turning on the Aid and Charm,
- 8:06Speaker 1: I was all in. Yeah, I was like rooting for
- 8:10Speaker 1: them totally. But at the beginning I would I looked
- 8:13Speaker 1: up my husband. I was like, this guy's a dick,
- 8:15Speaker 1: Like what why is he so mean? And he didn't
- 8:19Speaker 1: want to work in the team, and he didn't like
- 8:22Speaker 1: her office. Oh my god, Megan. Her office it was
- 8:26Speaker 1: rotating Christmas tree. It was decorated from ceiling to floor
- 8:31Speaker 1: and Christmas stuff. And I said to my husband, I go,
- 8:35Speaker 1: that's what Meghan's office would look like. But she worked
- 8:37Speaker 1: in a corporate environment. It was I noticed it. It
- 8:42Speaker 1: was too much even for me. I have to say,
- 8:44Speaker 1: Like when she turned on the lights and the tree
- 8:46Speaker 1: started rotating behind her, I died. And you couldn't like
- 8:50Speaker 1: her desk is covered in gingerbread houses. I mean you couldn't.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I couldn't even see her desk. I felt like it
- 8:55Speaker 1: was overkilled. But I think that's the point. Though she
- 8:59Speaker 1: really loved Christmas. Yeah, there's always someone who really loves
- 9:03Speaker 1: Christmas in these movies. Well even in her home. So
- 9:06Speaker 1: she's a baker and bakes Christmas cookies. Yeah, her kitchen
- 9:11Speaker 1: had like little Christmas figurines all over the countertops, and
- 9:15Speaker 1: that drives me crazy. I do not decorate my kitchen
- 9:19Speaker 1: at Christmas time because I don't want any additional clutter
- 9:22Speaker 1: on the counters. So seeing that at her home while
- 9:25Speaker 1: she's baking, I wanted to die. We do decorate our
- 9:30Speaker 1: kitchen at Christmas, so I was all on board. I
- 9:33Speaker 1: actually thought her house was not overdone, which was funny
- 9:37Speaker 1: compared to her office because she doesn't even get a
- 9:40Speaker 1: tree until midway through the movie and he's like, how
- 9:43Speaker 1: do you not have a tree? Plot hole? And she's like,
- 9:45Speaker 1: I've been busy, but not so busy as to decorate
- 9:47Speaker 1: your office. That struck me as odd, like plenty of
- 9:51Speaker 1: time for the office, no time for the house. I
- 9:53Speaker 1: thought that, of course we have the plot twist which
- 9:55Speaker 1: I felt like we could see coming from a mile away,
- 9:58Speaker 1: which is that they both want the head gain creator
- 10:01Speaker 1: position bumb. We know that from her from the very beginning.
- 10:05Speaker 1: It's aiden doesn't say it, but there's a moment when
- 10:08Speaker 1: she tells him that it's real obvious that he has also,
- 10:13Speaker 1: you know, thrown his hat into the ring, and he
- 10:15Speaker 1: eventually tells her about that, and then of course we
- 10:19Speaker 1: have the the hijinks where she thinks he's gotten the
- 10:23Speaker 1: job and she's a little upset. Yeah, that's all dumb. Well,
- 10:26Speaker 1: that's all dumb. I asked my husband. I was like,
- 10:29Speaker 1: what's this company they work for? They just create like
- 10:33Speaker 1: corporate games like I couldn't figure out, like eight scavenger hunts. Yeah, well,
- 10:38Speaker 1: what a fun place to work at. I know. My
- 10:41Speaker 1: husband goes, you'd be good at that job. You should
- 10:42Speaker 1: start that business. I was like, see, when I read
- 10:47Speaker 1: the synopsis, I thought they were gamers, Like I thought it.
- 10:50Speaker 1: I expected tech stuff For some reason, I didn't expect
- 10:54Speaker 1: that they were creating city wide scavenger hunts for other
- 10:58Speaker 1: corporate businesses. Yeah. The textuck. They barely mention it. They're like, well,
- 11:02Speaker 1: send it off to tech and they'll code the app
- 11:04Speaker 1: like they can just do that overnight, basically as long
- 11:06Speaker 1: as they have the clues. There is a Christmas movie
- 11:09Speaker 1: from a couple of years ago called Mingle All the Way,
- 11:12Speaker 1: and it is about a dating app and it is
- 11:15Speaker 1: one of my favorites. So you should look it up
- 11:18Speaker 1: if you're listening to this and see when it is replaying,
- 11:21Speaker 1: because it is about kind of the app creation and
- 11:25Speaker 1: it's like a female entrepreneur. Anyway, Okay, speaking of app creation,
- 11:29Speaker 1: did you see her mock ups when she showed him
- 11:32Speaker 1: like on her iPad? Yes, I was like, what child
- 11:35Speaker 1: drew those? Because they were awful and I was like
- 11:38Speaker 1: so critical. I was like when they were pitching the
- 11:40Speaker 1: Hotel Lady, like They're like, this is what the app
- 11:42Speaker 1: would look like, I was like, that's lame. Like they
- 11:45Speaker 1: I liked the better Christmass they needed way better graphics.
- 11:50Speaker 1: But anyway, I did like their idea. I thought it
- 11:53Speaker 1: would be super fun to go on that scavender Hunt.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Me too, although I another plot hole is it's like
- 12:00Speaker 1: the fact that they announced the Scavenger Hunt the day
- 12:03Speaker 1: of all those people were gonna jump in, like you
- 12:05Speaker 1: need weeks of social media promotions and people are ready
- 12:08Speaker 1: to smummart. But you know, of course people showed up
- 12:11Speaker 1: and they were at the party, and well even I
- 12:13Speaker 1: was like, how are they to do all these twelve
- 12:16Speaker 1: things in one day and then show up at a
- 12:18Speaker 1: party like you're gonna bake a cake and paint a
- 12:20Speaker 1: thing and do this and have hot chocolate? Oh? Can
- 12:23Speaker 1: we talk about how much hot chocolate and eggnog they
- 12:26Speaker 1: drink in this movie? Every movie, every Hallmark movie, that's all.
- 12:30Speaker 1: They drink eggnog, hot chocolate, and maybe coffee if it's like,
- 12:35Speaker 1: you know, a peppermint mocha with whipped cream and spilling out.
- 12:39Speaker 1: I was like, the stomach ache I would have. There's
- 12:42Speaker 1: just no way I could drink that much hot chocolate
- 12:46Speaker 1: and eggog. Nope, not happening. I did appreciate in the
- 12:49Speaker 1: final scene he's holding glasses of champagne. Oh man, not eggnog.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Oh oh hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
- 12:59Speaker 1: That's the best part. I should I should not skip there. Okay.
- 13:03Speaker 1: I did think we could paint better Timmory paintings. Oh.
- 13:06Speaker 1: I totally thought that. I was. I was like, man,
- 13:09Speaker 1: that's a great idea, Like, yeah, anyway, Yeah, I did.
- 13:13Speaker 1: I did think that their ideas were good, that their
- 13:16Speaker 1: scavenger hunt seemed to und although like they kind of
- 13:18Speaker 1: phoned it in, like buy a coffee for a stranger
- 13:20Speaker 1: and take us healthie. I did think like, okay, you
- 13:23Speaker 1: have to solve each clue in order to get the
- 13:25Speaker 1: next one, but how does the app know that you've
- 13:28Speaker 1: been to the right place. You're really thinking about this,
- 13:32Speaker 1: aren't you? Well? I was like, how does that actually work? Anyway?
- 13:37Speaker 1: Can I This is what I thought was not necessary
- 13:41Speaker 1: in this movie. Yeah, the house falling apart and them
- 13:45Speaker 1: trying to find somebody alumni to help fix it up.
- 13:48Speaker 1: I did think this movie had too many subplots. Okay,
- 13:54Speaker 1: because we've got the subplot of Jennifer's family wants her
- 13:57Speaker 1: to come home and it doesn't get this promotion, she's
- 13:59Speaker 1: gonna feel like a which I was like, she's still employed,
- 14:03Speaker 1: Like if she doesn't get this one promotion, the idea
- 14:06Speaker 1: that he famma is like, Nope, you got to come home,
- 14:09Speaker 1: rack it up, go back to Iowa. And then we
- 14:12Speaker 1: have his family home falling apart, the brother in law
- 14:16Speaker 1: is deployed, the father is rehabbing in Germany. After heart surgery,
- 14:21Speaker 1: and then we have all these old classmates that are
- 14:24Speaker 1: willing to come in. I found that highly unbelievable. They
- 14:27Speaker 1: were like, we'll do it pro bono because we liked him,
- 14:29Speaker 1: give me a break it it didn't support the main storyline,
- 14:34Speaker 1: Like I couldn't figure out, like, why do they have
- 14:37Speaker 1: this subplot in this movie? It doesn't make any sense.
- 14:40Speaker 1: And then they didn't tie it up at the end,
- 14:43Speaker 1: which drove me crazy. Well, they did say that they
- 14:46Speaker 1: had found like all they were like, we've got an
- 14:47Speaker 1: electricians coming in, and we got this person. So they
- 14:49Speaker 1: had all these people, they didn't actually do the work.
- 14:53Speaker 1: That's what I need to see, I know, to see
- 14:55Speaker 1: the flip or flop. So they just had the plans
- 14:58Speaker 1: for the work. I did feel like they had overdone
- 15:01Speaker 1: the subplots. One thing that you'll see a lot and
- 15:04Speaker 1: I don't know if I'm noticing it more this year,
- 15:06Speaker 1: but there are a lot of niece storylines. So we
- 15:09Speaker 1: had it in Jingle Bell Bride. She had to get
- 15:11Speaker 1: back she you know, didn't want to disappoint her niece.
- 15:14Speaker 1: We have it in this story. He's close with the niece.
- 15:17Speaker 1: There's a lot of niece storylines where the niece is
- 15:20Speaker 1: kind of like sometimes the driving force between getting them together.
- 15:24Speaker 1: I thought she was super annoying too. No, I feel
- 15:29Speaker 1: like a jerk saying that, but it just is not
- 15:31Speaker 1: necessary to me, Like he's fun uncle, and I get it.
- 15:35Speaker 1: But like when they show up to the she shows
- 15:37Speaker 1: up to the craft fair to support the niece. I'm like, really,
- 15:42Speaker 1: come on now, Yeah, you're not gonna go to your
- 15:45Speaker 1: coworker's nieces elementary school craft fair to support them. I mean,
- 15:51Speaker 1: it's not like a holiday gala, you know where your
- 15:54Speaker 1: five dollars wreath purchase is going to make a difference. Yeah.
- 15:57Speaker 1: I feel like we need to have a niece count
- 16:01Speaker 1: in these movies because two for two, Two for two,
- 16:04Speaker 1: I love it. We watched another movie the other night
- 16:07Speaker 1: that I can't think of the name of, but it's
- 16:08Speaker 1: another one of the new releases, and there was also
- 16:10Speaker 1: a news storyline. That's the thing. All right, can we
- 16:16Speaker 1: talk about the final scene? Okay, I'm ready. First of all,
- 16:23Speaker 1: can I say I thought she looked beautiful when she
- 16:26Speaker 1: showed up at the Oh. I love that dress. My
- 16:29Speaker 1: husband was like, what's that dress? I was like, are
- 16:31Speaker 1: you kidding me? I was like, it's gorgeous. She looks
- 16:34Speaker 1: so pretty. Maybe I just want to dress up and
- 16:37Speaker 1: go to a holiday party looking like that. Perhaps I agree.
- 16:40Speaker 1: I thought she was stunning when she walked in, especially
- 16:43Speaker 1: because there's that moment she's walking with her grandmother and
- 16:46Speaker 1: she's like, well, let's do this and go to the
- 16:47Speaker 1: holiday party, and I thought, are they gonna go like that?
- 16:50Speaker 1: Like in my mind, I was like, there's gonna walk
- 16:51Speaker 1: over there because they were running out of time, right,
- 16:55Speaker 1: But I apparently know she went home and got glam,
- 16:57Speaker 1: so I had a glam squad waiting for her at
- 17:00Speaker 1: her home. I enjoyed that, but you know Aiden is
- 17:04Speaker 1: waiting for her with champagne on the roof. Oh okay, yes,
- 17:11Speaker 1: it's my reaction when I'm watching that. This is verbative.
- 17:15Speaker 1: When I say to my husband that's hot. I was like,
- 17:21Speaker 1: that is so hot of a man waiting at like
- 17:24Speaker 1: the top. I don't with two glasses of champagne. I
- 17:27Speaker 1: don't know. I don't know what it was. It was
- 17:29Speaker 1: romantic and he goes, is that all I gotta do?
- 17:32Speaker 1: Because can we go out on the deck upstairs? Yes?
- 17:40Speaker 1: Get me on the deck outside of bed. It's two
- 17:44Speaker 1: solo cups. Yeah, really, he does it for me. I
- 17:51Speaker 1: think all of the movies are going to have a
- 17:53Speaker 1: hard time living up to the chemistry of this movie
- 17:56Speaker 1: for me, because I really enjoy him, like he made
- 17:59Speaker 1: me enjoy Kelly pick in that last movie. So and
- 18:02Speaker 1: that let me tell you a terrible plot line. It
- 18:06Speaker 1: was like sponsored by Balsam Hill. Oh. Another thing you
- 18:09Speaker 1: should look for is often these movies are sponsored. And
- 18:12Speaker 1: I haven't noticed it yet in these two, but in
- 18:16Speaker 1: past years they'll have like very blatant sponsorships, like they'll
- 18:19Speaker 1: have like a Jurgen sponsorship or like I said, Balsam Hill.
- 18:23Speaker 1: And it's real obvious, and it's it's I don't enjoy it.
- 18:28Speaker 1: And I say this as a person who you know,
- 18:30Speaker 1: makes some money from sponsored contemplacement, but I don't enjoy
- 18:35Speaker 1: it in my Hallmark movies. I say, Okay, I have
- 18:39Speaker 1: a question, is it Can he show up in a
- 18:42Speaker 1: second Christmas movie this year or is it one and
- 18:45Speaker 1: done for the year. I certainly think he could. I
- 18:47Speaker 1: don't think he is. Yeah, I when I looked at
- 18:51Speaker 1: the cast of characters I definitely would have chosen. When
- 18:55Speaker 1: I looked through the movies, we're going to recap. I
- 18:57Speaker 1: would have chosen uh second movie of his and I
- 19:02Speaker 1: don't believe there is one. Okay, so four stars, where
- 19:07Speaker 1: does this one land for you? You gave Jingle Bell
- 19:09Speaker 1: Bride two out of four. This is four out of
- 19:12Speaker 1: four for me. Four. It was great too. I would
- 19:14Speaker 1: watch it again next year. I would too. And you
- 19:17Speaker 1: know what struck me is I A. I loved the
- 19:22Speaker 1: Chicago scenery. It was really told me too. And I
- 19:25Speaker 1: felt like I believed that it was shot in the
- 19:28Speaker 1: winter because there were so many No, you didn't. There
- 19:32Speaker 1: were so many outdoor scenes that with like things that
- 19:35Speaker 1: were lit. I was like, would they have actually gone
- 19:37Speaker 1: to the trouble of lighting. I didn't believe the snow.
- 19:41Speaker 1: We still have the soap snow. It's yeah, the snow.
- 19:44Speaker 1: There were sunny skies and snow several times in this movie. Yeah.
- 19:50Speaker 1: And also it's real cold in Chicago in the winter,
- 19:53Speaker 1: and probably they would have been noticeably cold when they
- 19:56Speaker 1: were filming all those outdoor scenes. But I did believe it.
- 20:00Speaker 1: You know, sometimes they're like walking down a snowy street
- 20:03Speaker 1: with their jackets un buttoned. I'm like, it's eighty degrees there.
- 20:05Speaker 1: I didn't get that with this one. No, it was
- 20:08Speaker 1: believable to me. But I did enjoy I don't always
- 20:12Speaker 1: enjoy the big city movies are like the small town
- 20:15Speaker 1: Hallmark movies. But I enjoyed the Chicago Senior. I thought
- 20:18Speaker 1: it was beautiful. I liked it. I was super into
- 20:21Speaker 1: this one. Good pick, Megan, thank you. Okay, let me
- 20:26Speaker 1: tell you just quickly. I know I'm a hater. Okay,
- 20:31Speaker 1: this movie, though, gave me a little bit of that
- 20:34Speaker 1: Christmas joy. Oh, I'm so excited. Can't you believe it?
- 20:38Speaker 1: I am a little bit surprised, especially given that you
- 20:41Speaker 1: watched on November first. I mean it's so early, but
- 20:43Speaker 1: I think you think you kind of want it this
- 20:46Speaker 1: year like Halloween. Oh totally, You're like, yeah, I'll take
- 20:49Speaker 1: it wherever I can get. Yeah, And I thought I
- 20:51Speaker 1: told my husband, I said, this is gonna be our
- 20:53Speaker 1: new weekly thing. We're gonna watch these movies together, because
- 20:55Speaker 1: I think he was into it. So my husband totally
- 20:58Speaker 1: watches them with me. But I know I was saying
- 21:00Speaker 1: this morning to somebody that the only person who's more
- 21:02Speaker 1: into Christmas than I am is my husband, so to
- 21:05Speaker 1: almost rain him in a little bit. So he is
- 21:08Speaker 1: totally into it. The only problem is all the small
- 21:11Speaker 1: town once he's like, oh we should move there, Oh
- 21:13Speaker 1: we should move there. So whenever there's a big city movie,
- 21:17Speaker 1: I can relax a little bitcause I know he's not
- 21:18Speaker 1: gonna say, oh we should move to Chicago. He's not
- 21:20Speaker 1: gonna get some bug up. But about moving to Connecticut
- 21:23Speaker 1: somewhere or Alaska. Well, we watched a movie A Royal Christmas,
- 21:28Speaker 1: which is another one of the Hallmark new releases, and
- 21:31Speaker 1: it's in Connecticut, and he's like, is Connecticut off list?
- 21:33Speaker 1: I'm like, look at all that snow. We would love it.
- 21:36Speaker 1: He would leave us a rating, leave us a review.
- 21:38Speaker 1: We love reading them, and we will see you next week.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Bye bye. All right, friends, before we go, just to
- 21:56Speaker 1: a quick heads up, you're about to hear some ads die.

- 22:01Speaker 1: Hallmark love flowing. So do with that info what you will,
- 22:05Speaker 1: Grab a snack, hit the skip button, or maybe just
- 22:08Speaker 1: maybe listen in and discover your new favorite product. Bye
