- 0:09Speaker 1: go wearing a whist So, yeah, it's too bad, But
- 0:12Speaker 1: what did you expect it's a podcast, came twenty five.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Whistles Wine, Hello, welcome.
- 0:20Speaker 1: So I have no whistle of it.
- 0:23Speaker 2: I just got announced it's one of the players in
- 0:24Speaker 2: the Major League Baseball Celebrity Softball game. Yes, it's All
- 0:28Speaker 2: Star a weekend. You know, I always forget how tragic
- 0:32Speaker 2: this feels when it happens.
- 0:34Speaker 1: What do you mean.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Because they use the word celebrity and they say that
- 0:42Speaker 2: I'm playing or any of these other people, it's just
- 0:44Speaker 2: the internet going, these aren't celebrities. I don't know who
- 0:46Speaker 2: they are. Oh no, and it's mass It was like
- 0:49Speaker 2: when I went on Dancing with the Stars, like where
- 0:51Speaker 2: are the stars? No? And generally haters behaters. But also
- 0:55Speaker 2: we're in a very fractured fame world, correct, where I
- 0:58Speaker 2: don't know who some of the people are.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Okay, so that worked?
- 1:02Speaker 2: Yeah no, no, but they don't know who I am either,
- 1:04Speaker 2: right right? But I always forget whenever this happens. Is
- 1:09Speaker 2: because I was getting a lot of at replies on
- 1:11Speaker 2: Twitter and someone replied, you know this person ain't famous whatever,
- 1:16Speaker 2: And someone replied like, I'm more famous than they are,
- 1:19Speaker 2: like three thousand followers. I shouldn't have replied that's replied no, no.
- 1:22Speaker 2: I was like, trust me, you're not right.
- 1:25Speaker 1: That's what you told them.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah yeah. But then I go through the list.
- 1:28Speaker 2: So I'm it's All Star weekend should be a lot
- 1:30Speaker 2: of fun celebrity all Star game. I can read you
- 1:34Speaker 2: the person and you tell me if you know what
- 1:36Speaker 2: they do. To be fair, I think if you read
- 1:39Speaker 2: my name, a lot of people would not know what
- 1:43Speaker 2: in the world I did. Pirate exactly. This is a
- 1:45Speaker 2: pirate porn star. Gina Rodriguez.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Yes, she is an actress. Yeah, I don't know. What's
- 1:53Speaker 1: she in? A Virgin Virgin? Well, who's the version?
- 1:57Speaker 2: Oh?
- 1:57Speaker 1: Is that her thirty old virgin year old version show
- 2:00Speaker 1: called the I don't think that's her. Someone the Virgin,
- 2:03Speaker 1: Jane the Virgin? Is that something like, it's Jane the Virgin?
- 2:07Speaker 2: Yeah, Gina Rodriguez.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Hey, why don't just google Gina Rodriguez.
- 2:11Speaker 2: She's an you know, oh it is?
- 2:14Speaker 1: Is it her?
- 2:14Speaker 2: How did you know that?
- 2:15Speaker 1: I don't know, dude, fractured celebrity world, But I still
- 2:18Speaker 1: got that one. Wow, good for you.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Gina Alexis Rodriguez, an American actress known for a leading
- 2:23Speaker 2: role as Jane bel Nueva and Jane the Virgin. Who
- 2:28Speaker 2: am im thinking of ugly Betty?
- 2:29Speaker 1: Yeah, you're thinking of both virgins? Sure? Sure this girl
- 2:34Speaker 1: also too. She did like the voice for in cars.
- 2:37Speaker 1: She's one of the voices for cars. Do you know
- 2:39Speaker 1: all this? I don't know.
- 2:40Speaker 2: He's a Virgin fan. Okay, let's stand that. Then Marcelo Hernandez.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Marcelo Hernandez comedian.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Now do you know that? Yeah, it says actor and
- 2:52Speaker 2: comedian Marcelo Hernandez. I'm looking at him. He's an American
- 2:57Speaker 2: stand up comedian actor wh joined the cast of seventy
- 3:00Speaker 2: Night Live as a featured player twenty twenty two. I've
- 3:02Speaker 2: never seen him before. But again, that doesn't mean it's
- 3:04Speaker 2: not famous, and it doesn't mean he's not super talented.
- 3:06Speaker 2: But do you recognize that guy?
- 3:08Speaker 1: I don't know that guy.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Know, there's a lot, so I'm not gonna do them all.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Aladio A ladio, carry.
- 3:15Speaker 1: On, ledio, carry on?
- 3:18Speaker 2: Is he an actor, rapper and songwriter? Really? Okay, here's
- 3:23Speaker 2: a picture of me as a beard a ladio carry
- 3:28Speaker 2: On Morales is an American rapper and songwriter of Latin
- 3:30Speaker 2: trap and reg Guton.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Dude, they went hard on the Latin.
- 3:33Speaker 3: I like it.
- 3:34Speaker 2: They probably thought you were a Bonez Bonez. Yeah they did,
- 3:40Speaker 2: because as I look, I didn't think about that, but
- 3:42Speaker 2: they did. Mike Towers a Puerto Rican rapper and singer. Okay,
- 3:45Speaker 2: Now there are some people that I think that I know,
- 3:48Speaker 2: and I'm sure I think they would be cool if
- 3:49Speaker 2: I knew them. But Caane Brown's playing Oh that's cool,
- 3:52Speaker 2: Buddy Years, Tyrese Maxey.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Wow, he's gonna dominate.
- 3:57Speaker 2: He's gonna dominate West Wilson West or West West from
- 4:05Speaker 2: Summer House on Bravo TV. No, not familiar, Matt James.
- 4:10Speaker 2: He's I think he was a bachelor, right, Matt James.
- 4:13Speaker 2: I don't know it says TV personality, but I think
- 4:15Speaker 2: he's a bachelor.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Yeah, like the Golden Bachelor. No, just the regular bachelor.
- 4:20Speaker 4: I don't need that.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Like I can play Terrell Owens. Yeah, nice Yoh come
- 4:26Speaker 2: I all costeck. Yeah, that's Gronk's girl. I know here
- 4:29Speaker 2: from Bobo because Bobo and Gronk are really close.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Oh really. Yeah what I didn't know that Bobo K
- 4:33Speaker 1: new Gronk. Oh they're like great heights. They are like
- 4:37Speaker 1: tight tight yeah yeah yeah. And so this is Gronk's girlfriend. Yeah.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Are they married?
- 4:43Speaker 4: They're not married, right, No, they actually broke up for
- 4:44Speaker 4: a little bit, but I guess they got back together.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Oh, Tyler Tony from Dude Perfect, one of the dudes.
- 4:50Speaker 2: I looked at his picture. He's not the main dude
- 4:52Speaker 2: I think of for Dude Perfect, I think of the
- 4:54Speaker 2: dude with the beard is kind of shorter. That might
- 4:56Speaker 2: be the dude I don't know started Dude.
- 4:59Speaker 1: I think it was just three by it started, right.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Jeff Bridges, he's one of them, and I know I
- 5:03Speaker 2: recognize his face. Garrett Hilbert part of Dude Perfect. Peo
- 5:07Speaker 2: Soles lead singer in a Mexican band called Grupo Fronto.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Oh Fronteto, Yeah, you're right, I don't know.
- 5:12Speaker 2: I do know that like heavy Hispanics. I like, yeah,
- 5:15Speaker 2: good cool. It's like they're like Hispanics and Hillbillies.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, you know what I think it is is
- 5:20Speaker 1: that a lot of the Major League now is is Latin,
- 5:23Speaker 1: and so they're bringing in kind of just a mix
- 5:25Speaker 1: of Hispanic, so maybe the Latin players will also like
- 5:28Speaker 1: maybe they suggested that celebrity or something.
- 5:30Speaker 2: I don't think the players suggested. I don't think a
- 5:32Speaker 2: single player abouch for me. Julian Paana Junior part of
- 5:36Speaker 2: group of.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Fronto okay, Frona. That would be like the raged idiots man,
- 5:40Speaker 1: you and me going together.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Lucas Brody TikTok Star. I know Adrian Brody, but I
- 5:45Speaker 2: wonder if that's Lucas Brody. I would know him just
- 5:48Speaker 2: without knowing his name, because.
- 5:49Speaker 1: You're always on TikTok So.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Lucas Brody TikTok Star. Yeah, he looks familiar. He does,
- 5:57Speaker 2: he for sure does. Oh he does the sports stuff. Yeah,
- 6:02Speaker 2: I know this guy.
- 6:04Speaker 1: What do you mean the sports stuff. He's not like
- 6:06Speaker 1: that Bob Menery.
- 6:07Speaker 5: The frisbee guy.
- 6:12Speaker 1: I've never seen him.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I see his stuff. I would have not known
- 6:15Speaker 2: who he was, but I do come across the stuff.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Algorithm likes good sports stuff.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Some more.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Almost done here, so hold on, hold on, hold on.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Uh Kiri and Pollard, who's a cricket player for Trinidad,
- 6:30Speaker 2: Like they're going international, like a lot of international people. Uh,
- 6:33Speaker 2: here's a called one Pedro Martinez.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Ye can he? I mean, why why would they let
- 6:37Speaker 1: him play?
- 6:37Speaker 2: Its slow picks offtball bro Jenny Finch, Nice Jenny Finch
- 6:43Speaker 2: and then a couple of softball players. Natasha Wattlee. H'm
- 6:47Speaker 2: not sure where she played, but Natasha, my point is
- 6:53Speaker 2: famous fractured, and people are giving me the business because
- 6:55Speaker 2: I don't know who I am, and you know what
- 6:57Speaker 2: I felt that.
- 6:57Speaker 1: So who are the biggest names?
- 7:00Speaker 3: Uh?
- 7:00Speaker 2: Natasha Wattley, she played, Oh she's like our age.
- 7:05Speaker 1: She played at u c l A's.
- 7:06Speaker 2: The twenty championship. No no, no, no, no twice something
- 7:09Speaker 2: of the other one. Lauren Gibson gip with a peek.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Lauren Gibson, Kevin, you know her, and I'll rate what.
- 7:16Speaker 2: We'll go through and figure out who the biggest libs are.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Lauren Gibson mm hmm, shame good thing you're doing this
- 7:26Speaker 1: here and not there. Dude, dude, I was, I was
- 7:31Speaker 1: doing some like I don't know, I'm seeing some like
- 7:33Speaker 1: singer songwriter.
- 7:34Speaker 2: She went to Oklahoma.
- 7:36Speaker 1: I called Patty and be like, hey, oh yeah, go ahead, now,
- 7:39Speaker 1: I was I'm seeing some like singer songwrit thing a
- 7:41Speaker 1: long time ago and one of the artists I didn't know,
- 7:43Speaker 1: so I started googling him and I was at the
- 7:44Speaker 1: bar and he came up to say hi, right behind me,
- 7:46Speaker 1: and I didn't eve see him, and he saw me
- 7:48Speaker 1: googling him. Really so embarrassing. He did see the phone
- 7:52Speaker 1: was right there and it was like Google his name.
- 7:54Speaker 3: Did he say something?
- 7:54Speaker 1: No, he didn't. Thank thankful lads man.
- 7:57Speaker 2: That's tough, okay for if we're picking the top tier
- 8:01Speaker 2: of fame.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna go Caine.
- 8:05Speaker 2: This is just my version though, right because someone did
- 8:07Speaker 2: you name everyone? This is who I who? I copied
- 8:10Speaker 2: and pasting center to Kevin. There's like twenty people. But
- 8:14Speaker 2: where's like Tom Cruise, people like that don't play in this?
- 8:16Speaker 2: Why would they go play this?
- 8:17Speaker 1: No way? Like I watched one year and I think
- 8:20Speaker 1: Kevin Hart played.
- 8:21Speaker 2: And but again, I think they target different people for
- 8:24Speaker 2: different reasons. I think they went heavy massively famous Latino.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, because those guys are probably really big in
- 8:32Speaker 1: Latin America, and for that reason, I think baseball, dude,
- 8:37Speaker 1: then you need to go in there and start speaking Spanish,
- 8:40Speaker 1: all your interviews in Spanish.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Everything in the top tier, I would put Caine Tyrese MAXI, yeah,
- 8:49Speaker 2: Terrell Owens, Pedro, Pedro Martinez. I mean, Jenny Finch is
- 8:54Speaker 2: really well known.
- 8:56Speaker 1: I've seen her before in that game she played.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Like twenty years Yeah, Gina rod Is because Eddy knew
- 9:01Speaker 2: who she was. You guys are so surprised by that
- 9:05Speaker 2: in my tier, and they say other people. I'm sure
- 9:07Speaker 2: there'll all be other celebrities there. They just let play
- 9:09Speaker 2: the game. They asked me a position I wanted to play?
- 9:11Speaker 1: You said first.
- 9:12Speaker 2: I said first, and they said what's your second position?
- 9:14Speaker 2: I said pitcher, and they said what's your third position.
- 9:17Speaker 1: I'm like, just just don't put me in.
- 9:18Speaker 2: My elbow hurts so bad from the last softball game
- 9:21Speaker 2: I played, So you can't be outfield. And the reason
- 9:23Speaker 2: because my shoulder was hurt and I was afraid to
- 9:26Speaker 2: really give it a rip and so I was throwing
- 9:28Speaker 2: kind of different than I'm used to and it hurt
- 9:29Speaker 2: my elbow really bad this last Rex softball game.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like when you yeah, when you have an injury,
- 9:34Speaker 1: you mess something else up because you're over compensating. That sucks.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Get no, old dude, that's a deal. I'm gonna play
- 9:40Speaker 2: in that game. And it will be a lot of
- 9:40Speaker 2: fun and we're gonna go.
- 9:42Speaker 1: And that's the first time you've mentioned that. Do you
- 9:44Speaker 1: guys know that? Oh, you guys knew that. I think
- 9:46Speaker 1: I told everybody, okay, because everybody's going, oh really, everyone's
- 9:49Speaker 1: gonna go. We're going to Arizona to do too much
- 9:52Speaker 1: access and flying to Dallas right after that. Oh so
- 9:54Speaker 1: we're doing too much access first and then going to
- 9:55Speaker 1: the game. Are we staying for the All Star Game? No?
- 9:57Speaker 2: Okay, Sunday, we gotta be back.
- 9:59Speaker 1: What the all the way to the All Star Game
- 10:01Speaker 1: and watch you play Tuesday. We're gonna watch you play
- 10:03Speaker 1: a celebrity softball game.
- 10:05Speaker 4: The game's Tuesday. Homan Derby is Monday.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Okay, there you go. So it's not even Sunday. No, oh,
- 10:09Speaker 2: we can't do that.
- 10:09Speaker 1: We can definitely.
- 10:11Speaker 2: I don't even know.
- 10:11Speaker 1: I just wasn't an option. I just figured it was Sunday.
- 10:13Speaker 1: I'm still gonna tell people on going to the All
- 10:14Speaker 1: Star Game. It still counts, right, All start weekend, bro,
- 10:17Speaker 1: I'm gonna all start Man weekend.
- 10:18Speaker 2: We're going to All Star Weekend.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Uh.
- 10:21Speaker 2: But hopefully we're gonna get some of that, like baseball
- 10:24Speaker 2: players to sit down with awesome, meaning not even the
- 10:27Speaker 2: ones that are playing the game because they don't come
- 10:28Speaker 2: in the current ones, but like the I'm just gonna
- 10:31Speaker 2: guess people like the John Smoltzs of the world. Ye,
- 10:33Speaker 2: people that are like working for MLB, that kind of stuff.
- 10:36Speaker 2: So hopefully that'd be cool we could do this. So
- 10:39Speaker 2: that's the intro to this show. Now, let's go over
- 10:40Speaker 2: and do the tittle tattle time name the tittle tattle.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Let's get.
- 10:49Speaker 4: Yeah, go ahead, Kevin, all right, speaking of celebrity softball games,
- 10:51Speaker 4: if you could play one game with any celebrity, who
- 10:54Speaker 4: would it be?
- 10:55Speaker 2: It would be the one person I've been trying to
- 10:57Speaker 2: get to meet to do too much access to dowenty
- 11:00Speaker 2: five whistles. It would be Mark Grace. Here's a ball player?
- 11:02Speaker 2: Does that count?
- 11:03Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 11:04Speaker 2: Like the two that I can't get on my mini
- 11:07Speaker 2: rushmore now is Mark Grayson Sting?
- 11:09Speaker 1: Okay? Like you guys would play on the same team.
- 11:11Speaker 1: You and Mark who cares? You're both first baseman.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Thus, yeah, but I'm pretty versatile, you can change. I
- 11:17Speaker 2: played left field in the Rector League last week.
- 11:18Speaker 4: Would you rather play with him or pitch to him?
- 11:21Speaker 1: Oh?
- 11:22Speaker 2: I think I'd rather play with him because you have
- 11:23Speaker 2: a lot of dugout time to talk.
- 11:26Speaker 1: And if you pitch to him where you're trying to
- 11:28Speaker 1: just let him hit a nice swimmer or trying to
- 11:30Speaker 1: strike him out.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Slow pitch, you don't try to strike anybody out. You
- 11:32Speaker 2: just try to put a ball in the least great
- 11:36Speaker 2: spot possible.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Bro, I've seen your curve.
- 11:39Speaker 2: There is no curve and slow pitch. I think same
- 11:42Speaker 2: team because there'd be a lot of dugout time and
- 11:45Speaker 2: I would like just wander around and be next to
- 11:47Speaker 2: hey man, how about that, huh and then try to
- 11:51Speaker 2: you know, a budding friendship. And same with st me
- 11:54Speaker 2: Mark Grayson Sting if that's a wiffleball team.
- 11:57Speaker 5: Not the singer.
- 11:58Speaker 2: No, I'm talking to myself. Once I ordered a Sting
- 12:01Speaker 2: autograph and it was the singer. You think Michael Jordan
- 12:04Speaker 2: can still dunk? Yes, Okay, I play with him? Great question, though,
- 12:09Speaker 2: because he's what fifty something? I would say yes. I'd
- 12:11Speaker 2: say yeah.
- 12:12Speaker 1: And you see him move, you know, like he goes
- 12:13Speaker 1: to a bunch of like NASCAR races, and you see
- 12:15Speaker 1: him move move very he could.
- 12:17Speaker 2: He's sixty one, but he's also six six right, So
- 12:21Speaker 2: don't let age be the only factor. He's sixty six,
- 12:24Speaker 2: and let's say he has what a how long are arms?
- 12:28Speaker 1: The wingspan? I just remember the post seventy two.
- 12:30Speaker 4: Inches like wingspan? Okay, so long?
- 12:32Speaker 1: I think that's probably right. Seventy two inches, yeah, twelve
- 12:35Speaker 1: I've seen it.
- 12:36Speaker 3: On p five ft.
- 12:38Speaker 2: So imagine then there's an absolutely Well that was not
- 12:41Speaker 2: over the head because you're looking at part of that,
- 12:43Speaker 2: part of that goes to the head.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, he had to get a lot of air
- 12:47Speaker 1: to dunk.
- 12:48Speaker 2: No, he did it, he took it. He had a
- 12:50Speaker 2: lot of air because he could jump. Oh, but it
- 12:52Speaker 2: wasn't he didn't need to get a lot of air
- 12:54Speaker 2: because like Sho Webb needed a lot of Yes.
- 12:56Speaker 1: But like Shack didn't need a lot of air. Yeah.
- 12:58Speaker 2: But Michael Thoran's sixty six and let's say his let's
- 13:00Speaker 2: just say his arms are three feet from his head. Wait,
- 13:03Speaker 2: from where the where the elbow bends, it's kind of
- 13:06Speaker 2: where it meets the head. So from that bend up,
- 13:08Speaker 2: let's say.
- 13:08Speaker 1: It's three feet nine. You're nine six needs half a
- 13:12Speaker 1: foot to jump.
- 13:13Speaker 2: You tell me he can't jump six inches.
- 13:15Speaker 1: But that's just to touch the rim, dude, he's gotta get.
- 13:17Speaker 4: That's the hardest part is getting the what do you say?
- 13:20Speaker 5: I saw a video the other day and it tried
- 13:22Speaker 5: here and it's him dunking at fifty eight.
- 13:25Speaker 2: And how easy was he dunking it fifty.
- 13:27Speaker 5: Let's watch it?
- 13:27Speaker 2: I forgot, let's watch it. Did that pop up on
- 13:30Speaker 2: you algorithm?
- 13:31Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 13:31Speaker 3: I did?
- 13:31Speaker 1: Yeah, Okay, he's he's he's around a bunch of kids,
- 13:37Speaker 1: like a camp, doing one on one with I guess
- 13:39Speaker 1: the other coach.
- 13:40Speaker 3: That space gym.
- 13:43Speaker 5: Hold on, he's that's space. Make it take it, all right,
- 13:46Speaker 5: make it take it?
- 13:47Speaker 2: Watch the whole game.
- 13:48Speaker 5: Oh, that looked pretty good.
- 13:50Speaker 1: It's kind of a dunk he can do.
- 13:52Speaker 2: I would think he could still dunk because again he's
- 13:54Speaker 2: a world world, world class athlete and he's super tall. Yeah,
- 13:58Speaker 2: so I would say yes, okay, And Mark Grece was
- 14:01Speaker 2: my answer and sting number.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Two good to know.
- 14:05Speaker 4: JJ Reddick left his podcast and Days become the head
- 14:07Speaker 4: coach of the Lakers. If you were to leave your
- 14:09Speaker 4: podcast and Days, what would the job be?
- 14:12Speaker 2: First of all, I don't want to leave podcasts, the
- 14:14Speaker 2: radio show. I love it. The only job that I
- 14:16Speaker 2: would do would be to go be the Arkansas Razor
- 14:18Speaker 2: by head football.
- 14:19Speaker 1: And surround yourself by a lot of smart assistants.
- 14:22Speaker 2: I would take all the money they were giving me
- 14:23Speaker 2: and give ninety percent of it to get the best assistance.
- 14:26Speaker 2: I'm already good and this job is awesome. I don't
- 14:28Speaker 2: want to lose it. And I'll make my money doing
- 14:31Speaker 2: endorsements and stuff. So whatever you're going to give me,
- 14:33Speaker 2: I'll say it's five million bucks, I'm going to make
- 14:37Speaker 2: about one hundred thousand dollars and I'm going to pass
- 14:39Speaker 2: the four to nine out with the money you're already
- 14:41Speaker 2: giving me for assistance. And I'm keeping that job forever,
- 14:44Speaker 2: and I'm hiring the best assistance and I'm doing nothing
- 14:46Speaker 2: walking around being like, looks good boys, I'm getting all
- 14:48Speaker 2: the free cloth, yeahsages, and I'm learning as I go.
- 14:52Speaker 2: So that would be the job. And I hope JJ
- 14:55Speaker 2: Reddick does really well. You think you will, Yes, a
- 14:59Speaker 2: little bit. I think it's a break out position. I
- 15:01Speaker 2: think the NBA head coach that position is not as
- 15:04Speaker 2: important as other head coach positions because it's such a
- 15:06Speaker 2: player dominated league. So yeah, I think he will do one.
- 15:10Speaker 2: He's obviously brilliant as far as basketball mind, he doesn't
- 15:14Speaker 2: have the coaching experience meeting. He hasn't been on He's
- 15:17Speaker 2: played both levels, right m h. He's been on television
- 15:21Speaker 2: and talked about us, so he understands it well. He
- 15:23Speaker 2: has great relationships with people that are coaches, etcetera, so
- 15:25Speaker 2: we can also use them for advice. The only thing
- 15:29Speaker 2: he hasn't done is coach. However, he's done everything at
- 15:32Speaker 2: the closest level to that you could possibly do. And
- 15:34Speaker 2: I think he's a special type of mind. And I
- 15:36Speaker 2: think he has a great relationship with Lebron. That's all
- 15:38Speaker 2: that matters in that position because it is such a
- 15:41Speaker 2: player league. Couldn't do it in the NFL. No, I
- 15:45Speaker 2: think anybody can manage in baseball.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I could do that, be the skipper of
- 15:49Speaker 1: a team.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, I think basketball is perfect and with Lebron
- 15:55Speaker 2: for that.
- 15:55Speaker 4: He needs he needs a good assistant coaches.
- 15:57Speaker 2: And they got Dalton Connect in the draft last night.
- 15:59Speaker 4: Yeah, I saw that. That's kind of upset about that.
- 16:03Speaker 4: I think it's great because I like Connect and I
- 16:04Speaker 4: hate the Lakers.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Oh I forgot he's a balls fan.
- 16:06Speaker 4: Yeah, big falls fan. That's two championships in a row
- 16:08Speaker 4: the last two weeks. By the way baseball and basketball.
- 16:11Speaker 2: You're not a I'm just saying you're not. I'm just
- 16:16Speaker 2: saying you're not. Two weeks it doesn't count, all right, right,
- 16:20Speaker 2: Next one, speaking of the.
- 16:21Speaker 4: Lakers, where do you rank their job in terms of
- 16:23Speaker 4: toughest and pro sports?
- 16:24Speaker 2: And when you mean toughest, are you talking about how
- 16:26Speaker 2: they they are? They don't have a roster. I mean
- 16:28Speaker 2: they have two players, you.
- 16:29Speaker 4: Know, like the brand itself.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Oh, pressure, pressure, lots of eyeballs. Great. So I would say,
- 16:35Speaker 2: if i'm the Yankees, is up there one of the
- 16:38Speaker 2: hardest and worst, I would say the Cowboys. It's either
- 16:43Speaker 2: the hardest or the greatest, depending on how you're doing.
- 16:46Speaker 2: But but yes, the most pressure Yankees. I'm gonna you
- 16:49Speaker 2: know what, I'm gonna go Cowboys first, because the NFL
- 16:53Speaker 2: biggest sport in America and America.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Y.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Cowboys. Any other NFL teams that I would put in
- 17:01Speaker 2: that mix over the Major League Baseball Yankees.
- 17:04Speaker 4: I was gonna say, like Steelers coming to mind, But
- 17:08Speaker 4: they've also had only three coaches forever.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think the Steelers because they haven't only
- 17:12Speaker 2: had three coaches. I think you're there.
- 17:14Speaker 4: And Jets and Giants just because New York.
- 17:16Speaker 2: But they're New York, and I think they're screwtiny. But
- 17:19Speaker 2: the Jets always suck, so at least they have. There's
- 17:23Speaker 2: been a couple instances of me and good in our life,
- 17:25Speaker 2: but mostly the expectation is that. So I don't know
- 17:28Speaker 2: that people expect someone to go in and win right
- 17:29Speaker 2: away with the Jets, because they usually don't. But I
- 17:33Speaker 2: think if you go to the Cowboys expect you to
- 17:34Speaker 2: win right away, boom. If you go to the Yankees,
- 17:36Speaker 2: they expect you went right away. If you go to
- 17:37Speaker 2: the Lakers, they expect you to win. I think those
- 17:40Speaker 2: are the three toughest jobs. And you got to two
- 17:44Speaker 2: of the you got the two major markets law New
- 17:48Speaker 2: York one, LA two. Three would be Chicago if we're
- 17:51Speaker 2: looking at market size, and I don't think there's really
- 17:53Speaker 2: a Chicago team that demands that. The Bears don't obviously,
- 17:57Speaker 2: the Bulls don't. Yeah, and don't white Socks, don't White Sox.
- 18:01Speaker 2: Who knows they may move to Nashville, I forgot that, Houston,
- 18:06Speaker 2: San Francisco. Those are top ten. I feel pretty good
- 18:09Speaker 2: about that. So I'm gonna go Dallas.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Those is three good.
- 18:13Speaker 2: If you go to the Cowboys, you're just expected to
- 18:15Speaker 2: win right away. Yep, yeah, no matter what, and not
- 18:16Speaker 2: even regular season anymore. They have to win. I think
- 18:20Speaker 2: he gets fired if they don't win two playoff games.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Yeah, because we're guaranteed to go to the first game.
- 18:26Speaker 2: He's lame duck in everyone's mind, McCarthy. If they don't
- 18:31Speaker 2: win two playoffs, if they don't make it to the
- 18:32Speaker 2: NFC Championship, I think he's fired. If they make it
- 18:35Speaker 2: to the NFC Championship, I think he gets a two
- 18:38Speaker 2: year extension something like that.
- 18:39Speaker 1: And that is pressure.
- 18:41Speaker 2: It's always pressure. I love Jerry Jones.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Did you you get hired by the Browns?
- 18:47Speaker 4: There's no pressure, but there is to turn it around
- 18:50Speaker 4: at the same time.
- 18:51Speaker 2: But there's not would say the immediate pressure is there.
- 18:54Speaker 2: I would say the pressure is like year three, okay, well,
- 18:58Speaker 2: regardless of how toxic the owner is. And we only
- 19:01Speaker 2: hear stories, not like we know the Haslums or the
- 19:05Speaker 2: Hunts or just the random family like can think of
- 19:08Speaker 2: their own teams.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Nice that the Chiefs.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Yeah, So I'm gonna say those three, That's what I say.
- 19:14Speaker 4: Last one here the NBA season officially over.
- 19:16Speaker 3: July is here?
- 19:16Speaker 4: Is July the worst month of the year.
- 19:19Speaker 2: July blows.
- 19:19Speaker 1: It's bad, dude, I'm watching soccer blows Copa America? What
- 19:25Speaker 1: is this?
- 19:25Speaker 2: Also, like, the draft last night was terrible. It was terrible,
- 19:29Speaker 2: meaning that's appointment watching for me. You need to I
- 19:32Speaker 2: like to watch it live. I gave no I was
- 19:35Speaker 2: available and I still didn't watch it.
- 19:37Speaker 1: When your first two picks are from France, I'm like,
- 19:39Speaker 1: what's happening here? Who are these dudes?
- 19:40Speaker 4: That's the NBA now though they're from.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Another country, they didn't play in marsh madness, I don't care.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Definitely, extremely more European. It's can to be difficult for
- 19:49Speaker 2: us in the Olympics.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 19:51Speaker 2: That being said, it wasn't just there were European it
- 19:53Speaker 2: was that even the experts that know European players were like,
- 19:58Speaker 2: the number one pick, it's probably like the six or
- 20:01Speaker 2: seventh pick any other year. Like that's the talent level
- 20:03Speaker 2: of this draft. I did see Zachi. You went to Memphis.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Yeah, right down the road at nine, I.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Think, don't connect. Finally, off the board went to the Lakers,
- 20:12Speaker 2: which is pretty cool.
- 20:13Speaker 1: I thought they'd take brown Brownie.
- 20:16Speaker 2: They may take him around to I would assume he
- 20:18Speaker 2: went unpicked.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Yes.
- 20:19Speaker 2: And then another notable just from my mind because I
- 20:23Speaker 2: was looking for, oh, Houston, Houston got uh reed Shepherd
- 20:27Speaker 2: from Okay.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Yeah, then you go to Houston.
- 20:29Speaker 2: That's fine. I saw two that we just picked the
- 20:34Speaker 2: three white guys because they're because we're like, well, we
- 20:37Speaker 2: don't expect much from them.
- 20:38Speaker 1: They're white, true, true, and they're big. They're big though.
- 20:41Speaker 4: But Seldon's got a white guy too from Crazy.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Like those three guys. I it's crazy because I like,
- 20:46Speaker 2: they're white guys and they look slow to me, and
- 20:48Speaker 2: I'm like, let's see what happens.
- 20:50Speaker 1: There was a kid they got from, uh where is
- 20:53Speaker 1: Jokic from Serbia? They got a Serbian kid who looks
- 20:58Speaker 1: just like Jokic. His name is Nico La. He's coming.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Boys. I don't expect any white guys to make it.
- 21:06Speaker 2: I am like, that's weird because I'm like really rooting
- 21:09Speaker 2: for Dolt. I just have no expectation that white guys
- 21:12Speaker 2: make it. Yeah, that's bad to me. I shouldn't be
- 21:14Speaker 2: so hateful toward white guys playing basketball.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Cali Perry was there just kind of seeing all his
- 21:18Speaker 1: guys get picked. I just think you you guys are
- 21:21Speaker 1: should be so excited at Arkansas. Oh yeah, I mean
- 21:24Speaker 1: they did a stat where like the last five guards
- 21:26Speaker 1: that got drafted from Kentucky were like amazing.
- 21:30Speaker 2: They had a Because Kentucky fans come after me all
- 21:32Speaker 2: the time on Twitter now they're like, yeah, good luck
- 21:34Speaker 2: with Calipari. And so they were like he had two
- 21:37Speaker 2: guards drafted in the first whatever and one was Reed
- 21:40Speaker 2: Shepherd and one was.
- 21:41Speaker 1: One of the Spurs and got traded to the timber Boves.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Yeah, like the eighth pick. Yeah, and so but I
- 21:46Speaker 2: went and looked, they're like, look at just debut they
- 21:48Speaker 2: played Oakland when they lost, those two guys were on
- 21:50Speaker 2: the bench.
- 21:53Speaker 4: Yeah, they were on the Yeah, Read Shepherd didn't really play.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Yeah, he did some.
- 21:56Speaker 1: But yeah, you're right.
- 21:58Speaker 2: But I think what how with Calipari was he learned,
- 22:04Speaker 2: especially now with transfer rules, it's not we can't do
- 22:07Speaker 2: one and dunes all the time. And I think that
- 22:08Speaker 2: is very much affecting how he is bringing in this
- 22:11Speaker 2: next portal class. It's some of his guys from Kentucky
- 22:14Speaker 2: and it's sophomore juniors from other places. It's not just
- 22:19Speaker 2: all the five star freshmen and then the next prints
- 22:22Speaker 2: repeat with five star freshman because they got him in
- 22:23Speaker 2: trouble the last few years. Yeah, so I think we
- 22:25Speaker 2: also have a calib party that wants to prove himself.
- 22:26Speaker 1: Again, which is great exciting.
- 22:29Speaker 2: I never met him. I'm not wanting to meet him.
- 22:31Speaker 2: You will will I don't want to. I'm good not
- 22:33Speaker 2: meeting him.
- 22:34Speaker 1: What if he says I want to meet Bobby, I
- 22:36Speaker 1: would be like, that's weird, who's messing with me? Yeah? Well,
- 22:41Speaker 1: I just feel.
- 22:41Speaker 2: Like like I'll be around he Why are you calling
- 22:45Speaker 2: out to me? I don't want to not like him,
- 22:49Speaker 2: and I don't know if I don't. I think he
- 22:52Speaker 2: would probably be cool, but I worry for two things.
- 22:54Speaker 2: What if he's not cool? Right? But I think he is.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Players love him, so I think he's probably cool. But
- 22:59Speaker 2: also it's like he doesn't like me, and then I
- 23:01Speaker 2: can't like him back, or he's like not he's like short,
- 23:03Speaker 2: and I'm like, well that's disrespectful, sure short with me
- 23:08Speaker 2: at all or awesome, But you didn't feel that at
- 23:10Speaker 2: all going in. No Muss was warm, and yeah, I know,
- 23:14Speaker 2: Muss was like my favorite coach.
- 23:17Speaker 1: But don't you feel like once he's one of yours,
- 23:20Speaker 1: one of yours? Like maybe it's no.
- 23:21Speaker 2: This is all like insecurity, controlling and also like I
- 23:25Speaker 2: don't want to not like the thing I love the most,
- 23:28Speaker 2: which is the Arkansas sports, So I don't want to disk.
- 23:29Speaker 2: It's not important to me. I don't need to be
- 23:31Speaker 2: the person that's connected if it's going to affect if
- 23:33Speaker 2: I like the team or not. Because I love the team,
- 23:35Speaker 2: don't want to meet him. But yeah, no, Musk was
- 23:38Speaker 2: freaking awesome. I think must is my favorite coach that
- 23:41Speaker 2: I ever knew at Arkansas, thinking back that I ever
- 23:47Speaker 2: like spent any time with, I think it's probably muss
- 23:50Speaker 2: And I didn't even have a sour feeling about him
- 23:52Speaker 2: leaving because he went to USC. That's home. Cally, can't
- 23:56Speaker 2: hate anybody for going home. And when I go back
- 23:58Speaker 2: to coach in the mounta Pine red Devils always gonna
- 24:00Speaker 2: be upset.
- 24:00Speaker 1: About it because you went home.
- 24:01Speaker 2: I went home and home, all right, that's the tittle
- 24:05Speaker 2: tattle stupid his name the tittle townle Now are sit
- 24:17Speaker 2: down with Matt Holliday. He's a Cardinals Hall of Famer,
- 24:20Speaker 2: He's a world Series champion. He's still jacked, He's got
- 24:24Speaker 2: big biceps, he's jacked Calves.
- 24:27Speaker 4: Who had bigger ones him or Paul similar body stuff.
- 24:31Speaker 2: I would say Paul's a little younger.
- 24:33Speaker 1: I'd say Matt was big.
- 24:34Speaker 2: I would say Paul was thicker, Paul was. I would
- 24:36Speaker 2: say Matt was thicker, Paul was a little taller. Yes,
- 24:38Speaker 2: but both both are beast Paul gold Schmidt.
- 24:41Speaker 1: Yeh.
- 24:41Speaker 2: So I've known Matt for like fifteen years, and there
- 24:45Speaker 2: were year spans two or three years at a time
- 24:47Speaker 2: we didn't like talk or anything. But then there were
- 24:49Speaker 2: times we talk a lot, but we knew each other
- 24:51Speaker 2: and we're back in Texas and so it was super cool.
- 24:54Speaker 2: And like when he was assistant coaching for his brother
- 24:56Speaker 2: volunteer coach at Oklahoma State. We I'd text him and
- 24:58Speaker 2: stuff and be like, what a by still on TV?
- 25:01Speaker 2: So it was super cool to go to his house.
- 25:03Speaker 2: You can see the Too Much Access episode we did
- 25:06Speaker 2: with him, and he's teaching us like how to hit
- 25:07Speaker 2: and stuff. Just go over to my Instagram or too
- 25:10Speaker 2: Much Access dot com. But awesome host, wonderful guy. Love
- 25:13Speaker 2: the dude here is Matt Holliday, Right, So what exactly
- 25:18Speaker 2: is this facility you have here on your property.
- 25:20Speaker 3: So it started out when we bought this property, this
- 25:22Speaker 3: was the only thing here and then it was all
- 25:25Speaker 3: dirt roads and trees. The guy that we bought it
- 25:27Speaker 3: from was just he planned to live here, but then
- 25:30Speaker 3: he kind of changed his mind and put it up
- 25:31Speaker 3: for sale. But he had built this barn and it
- 25:33Speaker 3: was all orange like sport court like those squares, you know,
- 25:36Speaker 3: and it was a basketball court. So it has that
- 25:39Speaker 3: basketball court and then back here was like a crappy
- 25:42Speaker 3: batting cage, and so we tore that out and then
- 25:44Speaker 3: we put another goal down there, so we made it
- 25:46Speaker 3: full court. So I was playing a lot of basketball
- 25:47Speaker 3: then and then there's an apartment in the front, and
- 25:51Speaker 3: so that's what it started out with. And then the boys.
- 25:54Speaker 3: I got into pickleball, so eventually I put this pickleball
- 25:57Speaker 3: court in and then the boys this about six months
- 26:00Speaker 3: ago before the offseason started. Jackson Eathan when they, hey, Dad,
- 26:03Speaker 3: you gotta put a cage in, and I'm like, I do, Jackson,
- 26:06Speaker 3: you just I mean, you can help out a little bit.
- 26:08Speaker 3: So I put the cage in for him about six
- 26:12Speaker 3: months ago. And then we've had you know, a lot
- 26:15Speaker 3: of guys come through to hit. And you know we're
- 26:16Speaker 3: just out here playing pickleball and hitting a lot.
- 26:18Speaker 2: When you say a lot of guys come through to hit,
- 26:20Speaker 2: what do you mean?
- 26:21Speaker 3: So I I work. I'm a consultant for Scott Boris
- 26:25Speaker 3: Corporation who represents a lot of baseball players, and so, uh,
- 26:28Speaker 3: he sends a lot of the clients and and uh,
- 26:31Speaker 3: some young guys, some guys currently in the major leagues. Uh,
- 26:34Speaker 3: they come and they spend a couple of days and
- 26:36Speaker 3: they hit with us, and we feed them and some
- 26:38Speaker 3: of them stay with us.
- 26:39Speaker 2: And live there here. Now they never go to play
- 26:41Speaker 2: ball again.
- 26:41Speaker 1: They move on with that.
- 26:42Speaker 3: I think they would consider it if I would pay,
- 26:44Speaker 3: Like the No, they just come for a couple of
- 26:47Speaker 3: days and hit and and then and leave. So we've
- 26:49Speaker 3: had a lot We had a lot of guys at
- 26:51Speaker 3: the board right over there you can sit. It's an
- 26:52Speaker 3: exit V low board. And so everybody that's come through
- 26:55Speaker 3: their hardest ball. We have the rapsoda machine and so
- 26:58Speaker 3: every ball they hit at the highest what we put
- 27:00Speaker 3: it on the on the board. So, uh, we have
- 27:02Speaker 3: quite a few guys come through this offseason. And so
- 27:04Speaker 3: it was just like a it's like a hitting barn.
- 27:07Speaker 3: And like I said, I played a lot of pickleball
- 27:09Speaker 3: in here.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Whenever you were coming out of high school, I was.
- 27:12Speaker 2: I had no idea you were such a highly ranked
- 27:14Speaker 2: football recruit, like depending on what service you looked at.
- 27:17Speaker 2: I think it was said number three quarterback in the nation.
- 27:18Speaker 2: Does that sound accurate?
- 27:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean yeah, again, there's you have to be.
- 27:22Speaker 2: Humble, but yeah, yeah, say yeah, you'd be home. Yeah yeah,
- 27:24Speaker 2: that's in then, not in Oklahoma in the nation, yeah, no, yeah,
- 27:27Speaker 2: in the nation. So why baseball over football?
- 27:31Speaker 3: Well, my dad coached baseball, So I grew up around
- 27:33Speaker 3: baseball my whole life at Oklhoma State. I grew up
- 27:35Speaker 3: here in still Water. My dad coached baseball all my life.
- 27:38Speaker 3: So I grew up just at the baseball field around
- 27:41Speaker 3: guys like Peter and Compilia and Robin Winter. And I
- 27:43Speaker 3: don't know if people still know who those guys are.
- 27:45Speaker 2: There is I know, Ikey, I know, you know, one
- 27:48Speaker 2: of the best third basement ever too.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Yeah. So I grew up around guys like that, And
- 27:51Speaker 3: so my passion and love for baseball and to practice
- 27:54Speaker 3: baseball was always much higher than football. But I kind
- 27:56Speaker 3: of got good at football later in my life, and
- 27:59Speaker 3: so when I got draft to an opportunity to go
- 28:00Speaker 3: play pro baseball, the idea of going to two days
- 28:05Speaker 3: and playing both sports in college, I was like, I
- 28:08Speaker 3: just want to go chase my dream as a baseball player.
- 28:11Speaker 3: That's what I love to do, It's what I love
- 28:12Speaker 3: to practice. And so I signed with the Rockies and
- 28:15Speaker 3: off I went. But there was some nights in the
- 28:18Speaker 3: minor leagues where I was OH for fifteen and had
- 28:20Speaker 3: no idea what I was doing where I thought, man,
- 28:22Speaker 3: I could be playing in front of seventy thousand fans
- 28:24Speaker 3: and on Saturdays, and so I definitely questioned my decision
- 28:28Speaker 3: at times. Baseball will do that to you. But all
- 28:31Speaker 3: in all, yeah, that's what that's what I loved.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Did you feel like your baseball draft when you were
- 28:35Speaker 2: drafted it was lower because some of the guys still
- 28:38Speaker 2: thought you would go play football, so they didn't want
- 28:39Speaker 2: to invest a bunch of money in you. For sure.
- 28:41Speaker 3: Yeah, that was people thought that they was going to
- 28:43Speaker 3: cost more for me to sign. That was back when
- 28:45Speaker 3: there was really no structure. Now they have kind of
- 28:48Speaker 3: slotting and they have a budget and all those things.
- 28:50Speaker 3: So it was different back then. And I had a
- 28:53Speaker 3: couple of teams that were going to draft me in
- 28:54Speaker 3: the first round. But then when I when I didn't
- 28:57Speaker 3: end up get drafting the first round, they didn't want
- 28:58Speaker 3: to waste a pick because I thought I was going
- 29:00Speaker 3: to college and my uncle was actually scout for the
- 29:02Speaker 3: Rockies and had relayed to their general manager that that
- 29:05Speaker 3: I did indeed want to play baseball, and so they
- 29:07Speaker 3: took a chance and was able to get to a
- 29:09Speaker 3: number that my dad was okay with, and I ended
- 29:12Speaker 3: up signing.
- 29:13Speaker 2: How quickly did you get from? And I don't know
- 29:14Speaker 2: where you started?
- 29:15Speaker 1: It was rookie ball?
- 29:16Speaker 2: Single A double A what was that? And how quickly
- 29:18Speaker 2: before you were playing the major leagues?
- 29:20Speaker 3: It took me a while. You start out like like nowadays,
- 29:22Speaker 3: they move guys a little faster just because of it's
- 29:25Speaker 3: just kind of changed the evolution of baseball. But I
- 29:27Speaker 3: started out in roo rookie ball Tucson, Arizona. Caught a
- 29:30Speaker 3: flight basically and went to Tucson and was in a
- 29:34Speaker 3: holiday inn right next to a swap meet and just
- 29:37Speaker 3: kind of no car, just like riding the bus over
- 29:40Speaker 3: kind of just thrown into this culture of there was
- 29:43Speaker 3: a lot of Latin guys that didn't speak English, and
- 29:45Speaker 3: a lot of you know, just kind of like, oh, hey,
- 29:47Speaker 3: you just grow up real fast. And so I started
- 29:49Speaker 3: out in rookie ball. They used to really one level
- 29:52Speaker 3: at a time, So I went rookie ball Low A,
- 29:54Speaker 3: high A, arm surgery, Hi A Double A, and then
- 30:00Speaker 3: double A again, and then Triple A. I started out
- 30:02Speaker 3: and then I got called up like a week end
- 30:04Speaker 3: of the season, so I really didn't play Triple A
- 30:06Speaker 3: at all, but I put in my dues I had.
- 30:08Speaker 3: I had a couple of injuries, and uh, and it
- 30:11Speaker 3: took me a while to figure it out.
- 30:12Speaker 2: Honestly, when you got called up, did you go and
- 30:15Speaker 2: stay up or did you get your cup of coffee
- 30:16Speaker 2: and head back down. No.
- 30:17Speaker 3: I was nervous. My first two games I was over
- 30:20Speaker 3: for six and I was like, oh man, I'm headed
- 30:22Speaker 3: back if I don't get a hit soon. And the
- 30:24Speaker 3: third game I got three hits and I was like, okay,
- 30:26Speaker 3: I think and Clint Hurdle was the manager of the Rockies.
- 30:29Speaker 3: Then about a week into it, I was doing maybe
- 30:31Speaker 3: ten days until it. I was doing pretty good. But
- 30:33Speaker 3: I mean, you're just waiting because I knew that there
- 30:35Speaker 3: was a couple of injuries. Preston Wilson and Larry Walker
- 30:38Speaker 3: were both hurt, and they were they were on the
- 30:40Speaker 3: coming back eventually. So I was like, man, I'm gonna
- 30:43Speaker 3: be going back as soon as they're healthy. And Clint
- 30:45Speaker 3: pulled me aside and he's like, hey, you can go
- 30:46Speaker 3: ahead and get an apartment here. You're gonna be here,
- 30:48Speaker 3: and so I was like, oh, that feels good, but
- 30:50Speaker 3: you know, you're just never really sure. And so we
- 30:52Speaker 3: ended up getting an apartment and I played really well,
- 30:55Speaker 3: and then when Larry Walker got healthy, they ended up
- 30:57Speaker 3: trading him to the Cardinals, and uh, and I got
- 30:59Speaker 3: to play the rest of the season and ended up
- 31:02Speaker 3: playing there for five years.
- 31:04Speaker 2: When you move from Colorado Saint Louis, was there an
- 31:06Speaker 2: air difference? Was it? I mean, could you because you
- 31:08Speaker 2: know Colorado all the home runs? Yeah, did you feel
- 31:10Speaker 2: that at all?
- 31:10Speaker 3: You know? I think the thing that you feel as
- 31:12Speaker 3: a player most is recovery. Like when you come back
- 31:14Speaker 3: off of a road trip to Colorado, you just feel
- 31:16Speaker 3: achy and sore. It took a while to kind of
- 31:18Speaker 3: get back acclimated after like a ten day road trip
- 31:21Speaker 3: into in the sea level where your body feels you know, moist,
- 31:24Speaker 3: like you loose, and it didn't take as long to
- 31:27Speaker 3: get loose for the game break a sweat. So you
- 31:30Speaker 3: did feel I think coming back to Colorado more than
- 31:33Speaker 3: like if you're on a you know, a long homestand
- 31:35Speaker 3: you kind of get used to it. But uh, the
- 31:37Speaker 3: ball definitely, you know, you can tell that it travels
- 31:40Speaker 3: a little better and the breaking balls, you know, a
- 31:42Speaker 3: lot of curve balls don't don't break as much and altitude,
- 31:47Speaker 3: so you would see the effect on curveballs, but the
- 31:48Speaker 3: other pitches, I really didn't see much difference.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Who was the first hero that you got to play
- 31:52Speaker 2: against when you were young that you were like, that's
- 31:54Speaker 2: crazy that this person is right here.
- 31:57Speaker 3: Well there was that was so like at the end
- 31:58Speaker 3: of that was like at the end of of kind
- 32:00Speaker 3: of Bonds Clem I had a home run on Roderick Clemens,
- 32:03Speaker 3: which was super cool. I'm running on the basis thinking like,
- 32:05Speaker 3: oh my gosh, I just keep your head down. He's
- 32:08Speaker 3: gonna hit you next time, you know, just like so
- 32:11Speaker 3: Roger Clemens. I faced Randy Johnson a couple of times,
- 32:14Speaker 3: and Greg Maddox and Tom Glavin and so that era
- 32:18Speaker 3: of player like Sammy Sosa, those guys were still playing.
- 32:23Speaker 2: Could you ask for not like they're not jersey swaps
- 32:25Speaker 2: back then, but could you ask.
- 32:26Speaker 3: For Yeah, you can send jerseys over and have them sign.
- 32:28Speaker 2: And how would that go? You just send somebody from
- 32:30Speaker 2: the team, Hey, would they ever not sign them? Be like, no,
- 32:32Speaker 2: thank you? You don't have to say who.
- 32:34Speaker 3: But I never had anybody say no to me. But
- 32:36Speaker 3: I have heard of guys saying no. I thought you say,
- 32:39Speaker 3: but you said no, no, But I no one ever
- 32:43Speaker 3: said no to me, but I there has. There's been
- 32:45Speaker 3: guys that have been known to be kind of jerks
- 32:47Speaker 3: about it.
- 32:47Speaker 1: Dude, how much money did you make? And you can't
- 32:51Speaker 1: if you don't want to give the real number, like.
- 32:53Speaker 3: It's easy to find. Yeah, is it crazy?
- 32:58Speaker 1: No?
- 32:58Speaker 3: I haven't his career career any is on like it's
- 33:01Speaker 3: on baseball?
- 33:02Speaker 5: Is that accurate? Though?
- 33:03Speaker 3: It's pretty close.
- 33:05Speaker 2: That's the most legit yet embarrassing question that it's ever
- 33:07Speaker 2: been asked. Yeah, no, let's take a second google it.
- 33:11Speaker 2: Let's not let's not one hundred and seventy that's awesome,
- 33:14Speaker 2: hundred and seventy thousand.
- 33:15Speaker 1: No, I'm gonna say, dude, dude, this barn cost seventy thousand.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Ye, we're being honest.
- 33:22Speaker 3: I played a long day.
- 33:25Speaker 2: It goes a long way and still water.
- 33:27Speaker 1: I guess, uh.
- 33:28Speaker 2: When you went a World Series with the Cardinal, Saint
- 33:30Speaker 2: Louis is such a freaking baseball town. What did it
- 33:33Speaker 2: feel like? Where was it when you want? Wasn't it
- 33:35Speaker 2: Saint Louis? Okay, so that's even more special? What was
- 33:38Speaker 2: it like first of all that night after you win it?
- 33:41Speaker 3: Yeah, it's crazy.
- 33:42Speaker 2: You know.
- 33:42Speaker 3: It's like one of those things where you're like, okay,
- 33:44Speaker 3: now what we kind of what do we do? We
- 33:46Speaker 3: are we going over to somebody's house. I think everybody
- 33:48Speaker 3: came over to our house. So we had we had
- 33:49Speaker 3: a big house in Saint Louis, and we had like
- 33:51Speaker 3: this outdoor basement. We used to have guys over all
- 33:53Speaker 3: the time. So I think we ended up so we
- 33:55Speaker 3: had a we had two chefs that worked for the team,
- 33:57Speaker 3: so they end up coming to our house, and everybody
- 33:59Speaker 3: kind of moved from the champagne all over each other
- 34:02Speaker 3: to like, okay, what's next. I'm like, Okay, everybody come
- 34:04Speaker 3: over to our house, and so I think we came
- 34:06Speaker 3: all over to our house and the chefs were making
- 34:08Speaker 3: food and and uh, we had a big party and
- 34:11Speaker 3: and uh, you know, guys just you know, reminisce and
- 34:14Speaker 3: talk about cool it is. And they had the parade
- 34:17Speaker 3: and and so and then you kind of Okay, now
- 34:19Speaker 3: we got to get ready for the next year. But
- 34:21Speaker 3: it's it's pretty amazing. I think that the group of
- 34:23Speaker 3: guys that I got to win the World Series with
- 34:25Speaker 3: was was such a special group of guys, and everybody
- 34:28Speaker 3: that wins the championships sort of has the same story,
- 34:30Speaker 3: but it is true like the guys that you end
- 34:32Speaker 3: up ultimately winning a prize like that is usually a
- 34:35Speaker 3: bunch of guys that you really like and get it
- 34:37Speaker 3: along really well, and there's a cool bond that last forever.
- 34:41Speaker 3: And so I talked to a lot of those guys
- 34:43Speaker 3: still once a week and quite a bit.
- 34:45Speaker 2: You miss it, I do, I do.
- 34:47Speaker 3: I miss it. I think it's one of those things
- 34:49Speaker 3: where you can't replace that kind of competition, Like I
- 34:53Speaker 3: can come in here and play and and you know,
- 34:55Speaker 3: I try to find competition and pick up basketball, but
- 34:59Speaker 3: competing against the best in the world and having that
- 35:02Speaker 3: responsibility to be ready to play every single day and
- 35:05Speaker 3: what it takes every day. I miss that part of it.
- 35:08Speaker 3: I miss the camaraderie of the guys as well. There's
- 35:10Speaker 3: relational things that you being together that much and competing
- 35:15Speaker 3: together that when you get done, it's just hard to
- 35:17Speaker 3: find that kind of bond.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Top three Nastiest Pictures, no real rules on it, but
- 35:23Speaker 2: you face, you're like.
- 35:23Speaker 3: God damn. There's random dudes that the guys that I struggle.
- 35:27Speaker 3: There's a guy named Brian Lawrence that pitched with the
- 35:30Speaker 3: Padres and nobody else had a hard time hitting but
- 35:33Speaker 3: I did. And he's like, yeah, he was in our division.
- 35:36Speaker 2: He's a teacher going this, Yeah, I think.
- 35:39Speaker 3: I was like, I think one for seventeen off of him.
- 35:43Speaker 3: And Clint Hurdle was our manager, and he came up
- 35:44Speaker 3: to me and he's got this super loud, gruff voice
- 35:47Speaker 3: and he's like, am I gonna have to sit you
- 35:49Speaker 3: out against Brian Lawrence? And I'm like, I don't know,
- 35:54Speaker 3: maybe you know, and uh so he's one that I
- 35:58Speaker 3: just had a hard time figuring out. There's a guy
- 36:01Speaker 3: named Aaron Harang that pitched for the for the Reds
- 36:03Speaker 3: that I had a hard time picking up his slider
- 36:04Speaker 3: for some reason, and he gave me a little bit
- 36:07Speaker 3: of trouble. And you know, there was guys like Eric
- 36:10Speaker 3: Gangne the year that he set the record of saved
- 36:13Speaker 3: my rookie year, I was like, oh my gosh, he
- 36:15Speaker 3: just struck me out on three like fastball, curveball, change
- 36:18Speaker 3: up in three to like three pitches in a row.
- 36:19Speaker 3: And I walked back to the DOUG. I think, I
- 36:21Speaker 3: don't see how anybody ever gets a hit off this guy.
- 36:23Speaker 3: And so he was somebody that was It was incredible.
- 36:26Speaker 3: And then, like I said, those guys, those Hall of
- 36:28Speaker 3: famers I faced kind of close to the end of
- 36:30Speaker 3: their careers, so they weren't as nasty like Pedro Martinez.
- 36:32Speaker 3: I faced him too, but they were still really good.
- 36:35Speaker 3: Knew what they were doing, but their stuff wasn't what
- 36:37Speaker 3: it was in their prime. Jake Peeve gave me a
- 36:41Speaker 3: hard time. These are guys in our division that you
- 36:42Speaker 3: just face him so much that you know you really
- 36:46Speaker 3: like he's He was really good for for a few years.
- 36:48Speaker 3: Ten winskam one a couple of years he was on
- 36:50Speaker 3: our division. He gave me, gave me some trouble, but
- 36:53Speaker 3: it was a battle like you said, every night, if
- 36:55Speaker 3: you're not completely ready mentally, you can get embarrassed in
- 36:58Speaker 3: the major leagues, those guys. I mean it's just the
- 37:00Speaker 3: best of the best.
- 37:00Speaker 2: Yeah, embarrassed every day for something I'm you know, two
- 37:05Speaker 2: final two questions.
- 37:06Speaker 1: I was drinking beers with Wade Bogs one time. Oh wow,
- 37:09Speaker 1: and yeah, yeah, you're right, drank me. Uh And he said,
- 37:14Speaker 1: He's like, I'm going to die in a plane crash.
- 37:16Speaker 3: It's just the numbers game.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Like I've I've flown way too many times in my
- 37:20Speaker 1: life for me not to dine in a plane crash.
- 37:21Speaker 3: I don't mean that's not a numbers game, because.
- 37:24Speaker 2: I think he means if he flies the plane, I
- 37:27Speaker 2: had so.
- 37:27Speaker 3: Many beers that I'm going to take the plane over
- 37:30Speaker 3: and crash it.
- 37:30Speaker 2: But we said during his career, he's like, we just
- 37:32Speaker 2: flew so much that I'm like, this is just how
- 37:34Speaker 2: I want to go.
- 37:34Speaker 1: Did you ever feel that all the flight think.
- 37:37Speaker 3: About every day how many flights they're on and commercially
- 37:41Speaker 3: how many plane crashes?
- 37:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean we have.
- 37:46Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean there was rumors that he
- 37:48Speaker 3: would drink like a whole what he.
- 37:50Speaker 2: Brought, he brought cases. He brought cases due this was
- 37:53Speaker 2: a great event we were at.
- 37:54Speaker 1: This is great. We were playing. We were playing in
- 37:55Speaker 1: a country club and he showed up. He was late,
- 37:58Speaker 1: and everyone's like, where's Wade? He was supposed to be
- 37:59Speaker 1: here by now. He showed up with two cases of
- 38:01Speaker 1: the Middle of Light to the country club, handed it
- 38:03Speaker 1: to the bartender and said, hey, right, Wade On, these
- 38:05Speaker 1: these are mine for anybody else.
- 38:07Speaker 2: No, it was like your roommate when you writ your
- 38:09Speaker 2: name and so they don't need to Wade did that
- 38:10Speaker 2: case beer?
- 38:12Speaker 1: The bartenders like, we do we have beers here?
- 38:15Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 38:15Speaker 3: Unlimited guy.
- 38:17Speaker 2: Yeah, Yeah, that was fun. It was Wade and Johnny
- 38:19Speaker 2: Damon went pretty hard.
- 38:20Speaker 1: To He did go hard. George Brett he's there too.
- 38:22Speaker 2: Okay, they all went pretty Baseball players can go pretty hard,
- 38:24Speaker 2: I guess.
- 38:25Speaker 3: Being on the road, y'all pick some good ones. Those
- 38:27Speaker 3: are like legendary.
- 38:29Speaker 2: Not all of them are like that, you know, Okay,
- 38:31Speaker 2: well not all of them were.
- 38:32Speaker 3: I can tell you ten don't any beer.
- 38:35Speaker 2: But three were really hard.
- 38:37Speaker 3: Those guys are going around the league. Good job you
- 38:40Speaker 3: guys found the hardcore ones.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Thanks Matt.
- 38:43Speaker 2: Final question, what is your most memorable home run.
- 38:50Speaker 3: Probably the last one I hit in Saint Louis. Yeah,
- 38:53Speaker 3: I knew. Uh, the organization kind of told me, hey,
- 38:56Speaker 3: we're not going to pick up your your option here,
- 38:58Speaker 3: and so I would be moving on to to another
- 39:00Speaker 3: team if I was going to keep playing, which I
- 39:01Speaker 3: ended up playing with the Yankees the following year. But
- 39:04Speaker 3: I had was coming off of a broken thumb and
- 39:06Speaker 3: it was going to ultimately it's going to cost me
- 39:08Speaker 3: the rest of the season. So essentially I was about
- 39:12Speaker 3: four weeks out from surgery on my thumb. We were
- 39:14Speaker 3: kind of we were still in the in the postseason race.
- 39:16Speaker 3: I think we were a game or two out, so
- 39:18Speaker 3: we weren't completely out of it, and they told me, hey,
- 39:21Speaker 3: I just asked him, Actually, I was like, hey, is
- 39:22Speaker 3: this is this it for me? Because I want to
- 39:24Speaker 3: thank some people that that you don't get a chance
- 39:26Speaker 3: to say thank you to in person. If you kind
- 39:29Speaker 3: of just find out the end of the year that
- 39:30Speaker 3: you're you're not coming back, it's you know, it's just
- 39:33Speaker 3: kind of weird that way. So uh, they ended up
- 39:35Speaker 3: telling me, and so I told, you know, got a
- 39:38Speaker 3: chance to and then organization ended up announcing the day
- 39:40Speaker 3: we're not picking up not all of his option and
- 39:42Speaker 3: they kind of made a cool, cool tribute about it
- 39:44Speaker 3: or whatever. But Mike Matheni, who was the manager of
- 39:46Speaker 3: the Cardinals, was like, Hey, I want to get you
- 39:49Speaker 3: in at bat. I want to get you acknowledged. And
- 39:51Speaker 3: I'm like, we're still in, like we're still in the
- 39:53Speaker 3: playoff f like, not at the expense of anything that
- 39:55Speaker 3: could cost us. And he's like, I know, I don't know,
- 39:57Speaker 3: he said, but if there's a situation in the game,
- 39:59Speaker 3: we're going to activate you and we're gonna we're gonna
- 40:01Speaker 3: put you in the game. And I was like, all right,
- 40:04Speaker 3: Like I didn't you know. I was like, I haven't
- 40:06Speaker 3: hit really in four weeks, but I'll give it a go.
- 40:10Speaker 3: So we get like that night, like they activated me
- 40:12Speaker 3: from the from the deal and that was back when
- 40:14Speaker 3: you could have forty men on the roster and so
- 40:16Speaker 3: it was no big deal to have a hurt player active,
- 40:18Speaker 3: so they activated me. I'm kind of just hanging out
- 40:21Speaker 3: like thinking like this, only it's like I think it
- 40:23Speaker 3: was seven to two or seven to one and the
- 40:26Speaker 3: seventh and something on the picture's up first. I'm like,
- 40:29Speaker 3: that's probably not my bad. I'm like there's no chance.
- 40:31Speaker 3: So I'm just kind of hanging out and Mike's like, hey,
- 40:33Speaker 3: you're gonna You're gonna lead off next day. And there's
- 40:35Speaker 3: like two outs already in the top half, and I'm like,
- 40:37Speaker 3: oh gosh, so like run down, like put my cleats
- 40:40Speaker 3: on real fast, and like the hitting coach like tossing
- 40:43Speaker 3: me a few balls like trying to get loose. I'm like,
- 40:45Speaker 3: oh my gosh, my last that bad is gonna be
- 40:47Speaker 3: so embarrassed, Like I can't strike out, like this would
- 40:49Speaker 3: be embarrassing. So like I run out there and and
- 40:52Speaker 3: so I got come out on the half inning ends,
- 40:54Speaker 3: and so I'm out and like, you know, the crowd
- 40:56Speaker 3: kind of here like sees me, and like some people
- 40:58Speaker 3: start cheering because they had announced on the scoreboard that
- 41:01Speaker 3: that they were this would be my last series or
- 41:03Speaker 3: last home series whatever, And so I come out on deck.
- 41:08Speaker 3: Crowd kind of gets into it, and so they announce
- 41:11Speaker 3: it and it was really cool. The crowd obviously was
- 41:13Speaker 3: was standing ovation and the Pirates were clapping, and Clint
- 41:16Speaker 3: heard it was now the manager of the Pirates, which
- 41:18Speaker 3: he was my manager for five years with the Rockies,
- 41:21Speaker 3: and and so just a real cool moment, and and
- 41:23Speaker 3: so I step in the box. I'm like, okay, well
- 41:25Speaker 3: I kind of, you know, I kind of got tears
- 41:27Speaker 3: in my eyes. I'm like see, like, you know, I'm
- 41:30Speaker 3: hitting four weeks and so like first pitch strike, second pitch,
- 41:33Speaker 3: foul ball, and it's oh two already, and I'm like,
- 41:35Speaker 3: oh boy, like this will be super embarrassing. So I'm
- 41:37Speaker 3: like take a deep breath. I'm like, all right, I've
- 41:39Speaker 3: been here before, Like I just want to, you know,
- 41:41Speaker 3: do something positive. And he took me a break the
- 41:44Speaker 3: ball and I hit it to right center and I
- 41:45Speaker 3: was like, oh gosh, that might be a hit. I'm
- 41:47Speaker 3: like go and then it's like home run. Oh man.
- 41:50Speaker 3: So I hit a home run and you know, crowd's
- 41:53Speaker 3: going crazy and my teammates are going crazy, and it
- 41:55Speaker 3: was just a really cool moment. So that was that
- 41:58Speaker 3: would probably be it, and I thought that be my
- 42:00Speaker 3: last at bat, but I hit a home run. So
- 42:02Speaker 3: we're still in it the next day in a big
- 42:04Speaker 3: pitch hit situation because I hit a home run the
- 42:06Speaker 3: day before, Mike was like, hey, you're hitting again. I'm
- 42:08Speaker 3: like I am. I'm like okay. So I get up
- 42:11Speaker 3: there and I get jammed base hit and so it
- 42:14Speaker 3: wasn't really my last at that, but a lot of
- 42:15Speaker 3: people are like, hey, you're last at that as a cardinal.
- 42:18Speaker 1: Was awesome.
- 42:18Speaker 3: I'm like, actually, I hate.
- 42:20Speaker 2: It's about to start tying. Until he said he came
- 42:21Speaker 2: back the next day.
- 42:22Speaker 1: I didn't want to.
- 42:24Speaker 3: I was like, I was like, I'm good, Like I
- 42:26Speaker 3: only put my fleets on. I even putting my jersey on.
- 42:28Speaker 3: Mike's like, hey, if we need you for a big
- 42:31Speaker 3: at bat, really okay.
- 42:35Speaker 2: You think it gives a couple of hitting tips?
- 42:37Speaker 3: Came and I'll do it.
- 42:39Speaker 2: And we said give us a tip, not actually make
- 42:41Speaker 2: us good.
- 42:41Speaker 3: Yeah, ok yeah, okay, go yeah.
- 42:43Speaker 2: All right, thanks to Matt Holliday. That was awesome. Check
- 42:46Speaker 2: out the episode too much access dot Com. All right,
- 42:49Speaker 2: we'll take a break, we'll come back. Big episode, fun episode.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Good job, everybody, good job, everybody, Eddie. I saw Dak
- 42:56Speaker 2: Prescott's lasuit has been dismissed. The sexual assault LASU against
- 42:59Speaker 2: Dak Prescott dismissed.
- 43:00Speaker 1: Goodness, all right, let's clear his name, let's get let's
- 43:03Speaker 1: get now to what really matters football.
- 43:06Speaker 2: Do you want to pay him sixty million dollars? No?
- 43:09Speaker 1: I don't want to pay him sixty million.
- 43:10Speaker 2: I'll pay him fifty eight million dollars.
- 43:12Speaker 1: That's a lot, man, But I just can't think of
- 43:14Speaker 1: anyone else that I want in that spot that's available.
- 43:17Speaker 2: Obviously, a sexual assault lawsuit file against Dak Prescott earlier
- 43:21Speaker 2: this year has been dismissed to judge. Throughout the suit,
- 43:24Speaker 2: Thank goodness, the judge said it lack merit. TMC dot
- 43:27Speaker 2: Com has a story and that has nothing to do
- 43:30Speaker 2: with the money. He's just gonn He's coming up obviously
- 43:31Speaker 2: the last year of his deal. Yeah, he's what he
- 43:34Speaker 2: may be a sixty million dollar attempt. It's a lot
- 43:39Speaker 2: because the market continues to reset itself, right, Yeah, it
- 43:41Speaker 2: always does. The next massive top seven quarterback usually gets
- 43:45Speaker 2: the biggest deal.
- 43:47Speaker 1: And so ever, I mean, when he has protection, he's really, really,
- 43:53Speaker 1: really good. It's just me we had protection.
- 43:57Speaker 2: He's one of the best offensive lines in the in
- 43:58Speaker 2: the NFL. Now, well, you're in a row.
- 44:00Speaker 1: There has been injuries. We've had Zach Martin out for weeks.
- 44:02Speaker 1: So it's not like it's just.
- 44:03Speaker 2: When everybody has injuries.
- 44:04Speaker 1: I understand, But the same thing. I think Tom Brady too.
- 44:07Speaker 1: He struggled when he was when he didn't have good protection.
- 44:09Speaker 1: He went seven Super Bowl Hey, under pressure, Tom Brady crap.
- 44:12Speaker 2: But he end up winning eight seven seven? Why did
- 44:16Speaker 2: Belichick have eight rings?
- 44:17Speaker 4: Then he won one of the giants back in the eighties.
- 44:19Speaker 1: That's right. I forgot about that.
- 44:21Speaker 2: Great point because I was like, I don't think Brady
- 44:23Speaker 2: wont eight. Then Belichick won the same one less than
- 44:26Speaker 2: Brady because Brady wan with Tampa. Yeah, Belichick must have
- 44:29Speaker 2: wanted a second. But then somewhere else because Brady was
- 44:32Speaker 2: up by one.
- 44:34Speaker 1: Yeah, who cares yours?
- 44:37Speaker 2: If Dak didn't do it, great. That sucks that it
- 44:39Speaker 2: would be out there if he didn't do it, which
- 44:41Speaker 2: felt like he didn't do it great.
- 44:42Speaker 1: Yeah, And they did a good job at kind of
- 44:44Speaker 1: just not exposing that because it came out like what
- 44:48Speaker 1: five six months ago and then kind of went away. Yeah,
- 44:51Speaker 1: so I'm glad they kind of didn't get a lot
- 44:53Speaker 1: of attention and and kind of mess with his psyche
- 44:57Speaker 1: and all that. So I'm glad that's all over.
- 44:59Speaker 2: Okay, I think we're done.
- 45:00Speaker 4: And Bill had two as a coordinator.
- 45:02Speaker 2: He did cool. I was like, Kevin didn't know.
- 45:04Speaker 1: That, but it's what rings his boat?
- 45:07Speaker 2: His boat because it's messed up. Let's go around the
- 45:12Speaker 2: room here. What's on your mind as we wrap this up? Eddie?
- 45:15Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, I was on Instagram and we posted this
- 45:18Speaker 1: Matt Holiday, uh with too much access, and I saw
- 45:22Speaker 1: on my notifications Matt Kemp liked the video the Ballplayer.
- 45:26Speaker 2: Oh you know why because Matt Holliday collaborated and posted himself.
- 45:30Speaker 1: Okay, I didn't know that. That makes sense. So I'm thinking,
- 45:33Speaker 1: how on earth did watch this?
- 45:36Speaker 2: That's exactly what happened. So Holiday posted it on his
- 45:39Speaker 2: we collabed on it.
- 45:40Speaker 1: That makes sense. The journey in my mind was like, wow,
- 45:42Speaker 1: does Bobby know Matt Kemp has never told us?
- 45:45Speaker 2: Kevin, what are you struggling with? Thinking about nothing?
- 45:48Speaker 3: Do we go ahead up?
- 45:49Speaker 4: Matt Kemp?
- 45:50Speaker 1: How do we do that?
- 45:52Speaker 2: No?
- 45:52Speaker 1: Just because he liked our video? Are we able to You're.
- 45:57Speaker 2: Why not? But that was really episode has done really well,
- 46:00Speaker 2: like those single person ones? Is that the first legends
- 46:03Speaker 2: we put out? Oh we have, and we've done them.
- 46:06Speaker 2: We just haven't put him out. Oh yeah, that one's
- 46:07Speaker 2: done really well.
- 46:08Speaker 1: Have we talked about what we've recorded so far?
- 46:10Speaker 2: Well, we did Jim Edmonds. Yeah, and that'll come out
- 46:13Speaker 2: Logan Ryan super Bowl champion.
- 46:14Speaker 1: Good stuff man? Yeah?
- 46:16Speaker 2: So yeah, okay, cool read do you have anything?
- 46:20Speaker 3: Nah?
- 46:20Speaker 2: Okay, cool Kevin.
- 46:23Speaker 4: I'm going to see Zach Bryan this weekend for the
- 46:25Speaker 4: first time I haven't seen I saw him actually like
- 46:27Speaker 4: three years ago, but small venue. He wasn't the same.
- 46:30Speaker 4: So I'm excited about that.
- 46:31Speaker 2: Katie going to the beach next week.
- 46:35Speaker 1: What beach do you go to?
- 46:36Speaker 4: We're going to Destin. But there's all those shark attacks.
- 46:39Speaker 1: You can find them. I read an article where you
- 46:40Speaker 1: just poke them in the eye.
- 46:41Speaker 5: They're good.
- 46:42Speaker 1: You do the two finger, yes, yeah, or one If
- 46:44Speaker 1: you can only get one in there, that's fine. As
- 46:45Speaker 1: soon as they get poked the eye, they freak out
- 46:47Speaker 1: and let go.
- 46:47Speaker 2: I started debating on what would be the best part
- 46:50Speaker 2: to lose, and I think foot is my go to.
- 46:52Speaker 2: That's like, if I have to get close to it,
- 46:55Speaker 2: definitely the foot overhand because Eddie is still doing pretty good. Yeah,
- 46:57Speaker 2: I can get around one foot.
- 46:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 47:00Speaker 2: This stomach would suck, oh God, like heart and brain
- 47:04Speaker 2: would suck.
- 47:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 47:04Speaker 1: No, crap would be the word.
- 47:08Speaker 5: Yeah, that would pretty bad.
- 47:10Speaker 2: I'll end with this read our dear, lovely kind what
- 47:14Speaker 2: are you gonna say? Soft? At times, I would say gullible,
- 47:21Speaker 2: sensitive manchild because he's so tall and he's still like
- 47:27Speaker 2: a little kid. He communicates in a way sometimes that
- 47:30Speaker 2: I can giggle at. What he used to always do
- 47:34Speaker 2: is he'd be like, I was going to ask you,
- 47:37Speaker 2: and then he would ask, and I would be like, no,
- 47:38Speaker 2: you are asking. I was going to ask you if
- 47:41Speaker 2: you no, no, But but you're asking right now, even
- 47:44Speaker 2: though you're gonna ask me. Because if you say I
- 47:46Speaker 2: was going to ask you, but I didn't, and what
- 47:48Speaker 2: I would have asked you and don't even answer, you know,
- 47:51Speaker 2: that would be it. And today he comes in he's like, hey,
- 47:54Speaker 2: well you sign a Stanley the Dog Book. I don't
- 47:56Speaker 2: know who it's for some of your family. Uh, it's
- 47:58Speaker 2: a woman that he works with, Oh boy. And he's like,
- 48:02Speaker 2: will you sign a Stanley the Dog Book for me?
- 48:04Speaker 2: I was like sure, for it wasn't for him as
- 48:06Speaker 2: for somebody else. I was like, yeah, sure, where is
- 48:07Speaker 2: it goes? Well, I don't have one. Oh boy. He
- 48:10Speaker 2: didn't ask for the book. He just said will you
- 48:12Speaker 2: signed the book? And I said yeah, sure, I said
- 48:14Speaker 2: I didn't give it to whomever. And he's like, wow,
- 48:15Speaker 2: I don't have one, so what a ben? Hey, do
- 48:19Speaker 2: you have an extra Stanley the Dog Book that I
- 48:21Speaker 2: can have that you can sign for whomever. It's just
- 48:23Speaker 2: has communication.
- 48:24Speaker 5: I try to avoid confrontation.
- 48:27Speaker 2: It's not confrontational. The confrontation is when I go, you
- 48:30Speaker 2: communicate weird. Now we're gonna make fun of you a
- 48:32Speaker 2: little bit.
- 48:32Speaker 1: Read it. How many times do you practice the before
- 48:35Speaker 1: you ask him a question?
- 48:38Speaker 5: I say I'm going to practice, and then I don't
- 48:40Speaker 5: ever practice.
- 48:41Speaker 2: Practice what asking it?
- 48:42Speaker 1: How to ask it? Because whenever he says like I
- 48:44Speaker 1: was gonna ask, I was going to ask you like,
- 48:46Speaker 1: it sounds like he's been rehearsing it. Wick up, wake
- 48:50Speaker 1: up in.
- 48:50Speaker 4: The morning, Come on and I'll tell you what he
- 48:53Speaker 4: asked me recently, Hu about his bachelor party.
- 48:56Speaker 5: Oh yeah, huh?
- 48:57Speaker 2: Can the stripper be a man? And nobody nobody thinks
- 49:00Speaker 2: it count.
- 49:01Speaker 4: So he comes up to me, he's like, Hey, if
- 49:03Speaker 4: I invite you to my bachelor party, would you go?
- 49:06Speaker 4: If I invite you, you go? And I'm like, is
- 49:09Speaker 4: this you inviting me? And he's like, I'm just saying, like,
- 49:11Speaker 4: if you're available, Like, would you go.
- 49:13Speaker 2: What if I stripped from my own bachelor party?
- 49:15Speaker 3: Be weird?
- 49:16Speaker 5: Yes, I gotta figure it out.
- 49:17Speaker 1: All that.
- 49:19Speaker 5: I have no idea what I'm going to do for
- 49:20Speaker 5: bachelor trip.
- 49:22Speaker 1: We did tell him Vegas that no, I can't do Vegas.
- 49:24Speaker 5: An ager be real bad money wise, I probably lose
- 49:28Speaker 5: a good amount of money. But I was thinking maybe
- 49:30Speaker 5: a golf trip or something.
- 49:30Speaker 2: All DraftKings before you go and say keep me from
- 49:32Speaker 2: all game, you know, Okay, I'll sign this book for
- 49:37Speaker 2: him that I'm giving you. You didn't ask for the book,
- 49:40Speaker 2: you just said what I signed it?
- 49:41Speaker 1: He was thinking.
- 49:42Speaker 2: I was thinking, maybe you'd sign a book for me
- 49:44Speaker 2: if I had a book, that's all. What if we
- 49:49Speaker 2: had strippers that were men and with they were stripping
- 49:52Speaker 2: beside each other just to be equal and fair. Read
- 49:56Speaker 2: we love you, buddy, you guys. All right, that's it,
- 49:58Speaker 2: Thank you guys, and we'll see you on Monday.
- 50:00Speaker 1: By Ready
- 50:05Speaker 2: M HM
