At 2 AM in Palo Alto, a homeowner stumbled outside to investigate a noise—only to find a burglar, Oscar Dario Banegas, already inside, locked in the bathroom. Cameras had caught Banegas lurking earlier at 1:15 AM. Police arrived swiftly, forced entry, and arrested him without any property stolen. Banegas now faces multiple charges including residential burglary, parole violation, meth possession, resisting arrest, and giving false info.
