Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to OnlyFin's Q&A Live, a question and answer show as exclusive to OnlyFin's.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_01]: And Miami Dawkins Discord server.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_01]: Now, here's your host, out!
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: And we're on, this is OnlyFin's Q&A Live for July 13th, 2025.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_00]: And this is a special week for two reasons.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_00]: First of all, it's a special week because three yards per carry is back after a nearly two-month
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: we're back to talk football.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_00]: We're also back on this show to stop talking about the world cup.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_00]: We're at the semi finals folks.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_00]: Stop talking about the heat or the panthers off season, which they've had a pretty damn good off season.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_00]: And we're back to dolphins football because we are about 15 days away from training camp.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_00]: 15 days.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: We're almost there.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: We've almost
- 0:59[SPEAKER_00]: So, um, I don't think we're going to have too much, too many questions in the chat.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: There's not too many people in the chat right now asking questions.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_00]: So, I'm going to go over the roster and the storylines leading into my camp reports this year.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_00]: Again, I will be doing the camp reports daily.

- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: I think I know what I'm looking at and people really really take to my camperports every year and I'm forever grateful that you guys tune in and the numbers that you do to listen to my camperport every single year.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's humbly that you guys find something that I do very, very useful.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: So you'll get that again and that is daily.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_00]: If they're having a practice, you're getting a show.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_00]: Alright, moving on to this team.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_00]: What is there to look forward to, right?
- 2:41[SPEAKER_00]: Because a lot of people are like, oh my god, man, this team is gonna be bad.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: Well, okay, it could be bad.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_00]: But what is there to look forward to?
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you're looking forward to this build, right?
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: You want to see if this build is gonna get off on the right, on the right foot.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_00]: There's plenty to see, man, Malik Willis.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: That's gonna be worth it in and of itself, right?
- 3:05[SPEAKER_00]: How good is Malik Willis or how bad?
- 3:08[SPEAKER_00]: do we need to replace them in the offseason?
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: So on and so forth.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: There are elements of this team that I find kind of interesting.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_00]: And kind of good.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I think that the offensive line, of course, there's always ifs.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: But there's really a lot of ifs on a lot of teams.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_00]: Some teams have really, really good units that you look at and you're like, oh, wow.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_00]: Like, this is one of the best units in the NFL.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: But if they take an injury, they no longer cease to be one of the best units in the NFL, and that happens all the time.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_00]: Look at the 49ers on their offensive line issues in the last couple of years.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_00]: So on this team there's really one unit that I look at, and I think, you know what, it could be pretty damn good.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: And that's the offensive line.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: When I look at them from left to right Patrick Paul, Kate and Proctor, get in Proctor's a complete projection.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: Okay,
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: Look, Aaron Brewer is an all-pro.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_00]: Patrick Paul, nothing he's an all-pro, he should be a problem, or I thought he was really, really good last year, really underrated.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: Last year, John Dissolvina, highly touted, big pedigree guy, moving to his natural position, and Austin Jackson, whenever he's healthy, and here we go with the ifs again, whenever he's healthy, he's been a very, very useful player.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: Now, as far as the death be in that behind them, we really don't know much, except that Andrew Meyer,
- 4:31[SPEAKER_00]: the previous regime really would like them as a backup center, and I've watched them in action and I think he's going to be pretty decent.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_00]: Tomorrow's Sallier is a guy that can play the tackle spots, both tackle spots can't play guard, so he gives you some depth across the board.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: And that's something good, right?
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: Like we know pretty much nothing else from the other guys.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_00]: DJ Campbell from Texas, draft pick, till we know he's gonna be a useful player.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: Can he start in a pinch?
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: We have no idea.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_00]: But that's the one unit that you look at.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: And you're like, you know what?
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: They're not terrible.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: And in fact, it could be actually pretty damn good, you know, so speaking of units that are pretty decent and you look at and you're like, you know what, like this could be in its final form, like a year from now, not this season, but the following season, 2027.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_00]: when they're threatening for a playoff spot.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: This is another unit that I look at and I'm thinking to myself, you know what, this could be already intact and that's the interior difference of line unit.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: I like what they have on the team.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: The questions are all on the edge on this team.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_00]: I really like their middle linebackers.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_00]: I like what they have in the linebacking unit period.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: I like it all.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: I like all those players.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: Tyrell Dodson, Jordan Brooks, very useful players.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan Brooks is a star.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: Jacob Rodriguez, howdy touted, rookie.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: And we expect them to be pretty damn good.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: Kyle Lewis, a good sub-packaged linebacker.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_00]: Tray Moore is going to be more of an edge player and special teamer.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_00]: Willy Gay, hopefully gets some playing time this year, but I like the linebackers.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: I like the interior difference of line, Kenneth Grant, Jordan Phillips returning.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: I expect them to be better.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: I expect Jordan Phillips to take a bigger step forward and become a little bit more useful in the passing game, in the past rush.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's actually either you know you can always count on.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_00]: Zick Bigger is going to be a specialist that I do expect big things from.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_00]: and you saw it last year, a guy with no bag essentially became a made himself a very useful player in a rotation as a pastoral specialist from the inside.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: So it's a year further along, I expect them to be better.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: Matthew Butler, another useful player.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's only even was a guy who showed some flashes last year, and then you have guys like a Los Andres Renekanga that they brought in, you know, they have, they have a lot of talent, young, as far as veteran talent really is ex-sular and Matthew Butler are the only ones that check those boxes, but I like everything else that they have in that unit.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: I really like it.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: you know, from top to bottom, all the interior defense of Lyman, I'm pretty high on.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: The cornerbacks, defensive backs are a mixed bag and we just don't know.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: We have no idea what they're going to be or what they could be.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: I will say this.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: Juju Brence is impressing once again and I'm pretty certain if you saw him play last year.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: If this is a guy who could ever stay healthy, I think he's a starter in the NFL.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: Now, as he is a high end starter, we don't know.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like he has going to have to show that, right?
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: Stormdruck is another guy who has shown one healthy can be a useful player.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe as a nickel, but this year I do look at Ethan Robinson as a guy that could come on to play that nickel role.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: If not, they're going to find something else with the guys that they have on the roster at safety to see if one of them is actually going to line up in the slot to defend
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: On the edge that's where it gets a little bit if you on this defense and you're pretty much relying on Chop Robinson to take a pretty long and good leap forward.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_00]: So that's the one that I'm most interested in seeing on the edge.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_00]: Joshua Chai is a guy that you know you can count on to play snaps and play them well.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's best served as part of a rotation.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he's a guy that you want out there playing a thousand snaps Like that's that's that's not what you want to do with Joshua.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: Jay Tray more is a rookie.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: He's gonna challenge.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_00]: He's gonna be in a rotation.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: So we shall see David a job.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: Our guy, you know, David a job was another guy that we're gonna look at Cameron good
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: These are guys, Mason Reager.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of interesting.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: These are guys that could be anything we'll watch him in training camp and we'll see where we go from there.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: On offense, the running backs will return in the same group and we're pretty high on that group from years from a year before, so we should be okay there.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: We are missing the full back.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: DJ Herman is stepping in place of Alec Engold.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, the tight ends, it's changed.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: They had a little bit more beef, better specialists, okay?
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: I like Julian Hill, but Julian Hill was a guy who not only did, look, first of all, he's off for the year right now, as far as I'm concerned.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's, I'm pretty certain he's off for the year.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: I think they, they put him on the DL.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: Ben Sims, Wolk has merit, our guys that I actually do trust to be
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: So I think they're flying there.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think Greg Valsuch year forward is going to be a better player.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: And we didn't know what we haven't said of trial or we shall see why receivers are obviously the one unit that you look at and it's really, really lacking.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_00]: And personally, I look back at the general water trade and that's one that I hope we're not looking back at at the end of the season and regretting.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: But something tells me that they might.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm sorry, I still believe it was a bad idea.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: But in that unit, you're essentially waiting for Chris Ball to get better and to contribute.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: Now they keep saying he's going to contribute and trying to get, we shall see.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see you when we get that first populist to see if Chris Bell is on it, but you want to see somebody emerge from this group because what they have is essentially a bunch of back end of the group guys like Jalen Tolberty who outwell those are guys that if they're your number three number four you're okay with it because you have a clear cut number one they don't.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: They're trying to find that now, Malik Washington, I think is best served as a slot receiver and they have another one in this redundancy that they've kind of built in in a lot of these units with Kevin Coleman so we shall see and we're going to go to break and when we come back we will take the question your questions on the other side.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_00]: of the break.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_00]: But first of all, let me tell you about Lucy Nicotine pouches.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: Lucy's are my new go-to pouch.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, I have one right there here in front of me, I have the cinnamon.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_00]: The very best pouches in the market that come in many flavors, met, apolize, mango, espresso, like I said, cinnamon, which is my favorite.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_00]: Berry citrus and apple cider.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: Don't forget to try the breakers, which have a little breaker ball in each pouch Lucy has a super smooth kick that lasts longer than any pouch I have ever used.

- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I like to welcome back factor, they're back and they're with us throughout the football season.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_00]: So, they'll be off our air.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: come the Super Bowl and who knows?
- 12:44[SPEAKER_00]: Cause last year they were with us for a little longer than that right through the offseason and into the draft and the run up toward training camp.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_00]: But they're back now.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: So sometimes you just don't have the time or you don't want to cook.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_00]: Look, I've been a customer of factor forever.

- 14:31[SPEAKER_00]: And we're back.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: All right, let's get some of these questions in the chat.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_00]: See which ones I can take?
- 14:44[SPEAKER_00]: What do you think this online will be like?
- 14:47[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I talked about it a little bit earlier on the show, right?
- 14:52[SPEAKER_00]: You know, moving from left to right, Paul Proctor.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_00]: Brewer, you got a few pretty good about that left side, so, you know, the questions are on the right, first of all, Austin Jackson, Kansas, Tey Healthy, Jonas of I and I, is there gonna be anything?
- 15:10[SPEAKER_00]: So, that's what I would say about the offensive line.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_00]: Um, kind of about the optimistic with the group.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_00]: Did you find defensive line as,
- 15:19[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm, well, I don't know if BF as some others last year.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, no, uh, I think the edges were, were, we have issues.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_00]: I like the interior often, a defensive line.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_00]: Well, going to the right side be bigger or smaller, uplift to Jonah's possible reclamations.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think a big one.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_00]: look, a lot of people have talked about, you know, which side to play on the offensive line?
- 15:46[SPEAKER_00]: Some guy say it doesn't matter.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_00]: Most guys say it does, so if it matters a lot, then I would say that's a pretty big
- 15:56[SPEAKER_00]: boost for Jonas of Ina in year two to see if he could actually become a useful player.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_00]: Is Juju Brant's good or real good if he stays healthy?
- 16:06[SPEAKER_00]: Look, all he's shown is that and throttle is career, is that he could be
- 16:12[SPEAKER_00]: High end is a little strong, but a good starter.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_00]: I would say a good starter if he's healthy.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_00]: And man, you can use as many of those as you can, especially at his wage scale, right?
- 16:27[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_00]: Can a Chan last a full season would say 250 to 300 touches combined?
- 16:32[SPEAKER_00]: Well, he has, you know, he's he's done that Already so I would say yes and he's a guy who's in really really good shape and I understand it right keep saying Oh my god, he's so small if you watch him in person He's like I was pretty well put together and I suspect that another year of away training
- 16:55[SPEAKER_00]: is going to get him hugging that 200 pound.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_00]: Well.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_00]: I would call it a goal because I don't think he's interested in playing at 200 pounds.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's interested in playing at the weight that he wants to be, that he still feels fast and can be as fast as he has been.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_00]: So he wants to be out of weight that he's comfortable.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_00]: The evidence suggests that that's around $194 or $192.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_00]: So in the lower 190s, but I think as he ages, I think you want to put on a little bit
- 17:30[SPEAKER_00]: So, if he hugs 200, I think that that's a possibility.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_00]: Trader, Dante Trader, on the verge of really good.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_00]: Well, all we've seen is like he's had a very, very good offseason.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_00]: He had his moments last year.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_00]: He had his bad moments last year as well.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, good and bad, right?
- 17:52[SPEAKER_00]: We shall see training camp will tell us a lot.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see if he's earned a starting spot.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_00]: all the indications are that is that he has.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_00]: So recent comments about not being pretty, can we be nasty or trans players this season?
- 18:10[SPEAKER_00]: That comes with the makeup.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_00]: They have some of that in the interior defensive line, they'll have some of that on the interior offensive line as well and they have it on the edges.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_00]: Look, Austin Jacks is a really good run blocker, okay?
- 18:24[SPEAKER_00]: And we've seen what Patrick Paul is capable of.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_00]: So we shall see.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_00]: How good can the left side?
- 18:32[SPEAKER_00]: Be kidding, Proctor, Patrick Paul skies the limit.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_00]: Look, Kate and Proctor's complete projection.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_00]: Look, I didn't like them too much.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_00]: Coming up,
- 18:43[SPEAKER_00]: but I am a massive fan of Petra Paul now.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_00]: So, Kim, Kitten Proctor, you know, proved me wrong?
- 18:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_00]: They absolutely love him.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_00]: So, we shall see how that turns out.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan Brooks, is he getting a deal or not?
- 18:59[SPEAKER_00]: Great question.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_00]: Look, I was of the opinion that they didn't have the money to do all three, A-chan, Brewer, Brooks, they've done A-chan, they've done Brewer.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_00]: So we're on to Jordan Brooks.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_00]: I'm told that they want to get something done.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I don't know where the money's going to come from, but I guess they're going to find it from somewhere.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_00]: I guess they figured out their calculators better than mine.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_00]: I guess is what we can say.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_00]: If bigger Philips and Grant play good at all, what percentage chance sealer is moved and for what?
- 19:32[SPEAKER_00]: If he's moved, he's going to be moved for a day three pick because he's older and he's expensive and that's a terrible combination when you want draft compensation, okay?
- 19:42[SPEAKER_00]: So, man, if you could get...
- 19:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_00]: If you could get a fourth rompick for Zaxi there at the deadline.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_00]: Do you do it?
- 19:50[SPEAKER_00]: I think you do.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think I think you probably take that, you know?
- 19:59[SPEAKER_00]: Next question, Ethan Bonner season.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: Look, the issue with Ethan Bonner has been Ethan Bonner.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_00]: uh... when he's been asked to play snaps he's played them pretty well the problem is uh... he's always finding one injury or another so look if you're not going to be available then you can't they're not going to hold the starting spot for you on the outside okay like that's not going to happen you have to earn that spot by being available same thing goes for jujube rents right so it's up to he's in boner
- 20:29[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's a very good useful NFL player when healthy.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_00]: Problem is he's never healthy, which makes him not a good useful NFL player.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, there we have it.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_00]: Lamar and Josh, I guess you're talking about Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen, have been taking a beating.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_00]: Is this the year that the Warrant Teres starts to show and they decline some look?
- 20:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's already shown on Lamar Jackson, okay?
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: Josh Allen I think it's a matter of time and I don't want to be one of these people that are the doom sails like the people that kept saying Oh, you know, this is the year the time breaking falls off a cliff.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's a different story When it when a player relies on the rough blood a system
- 21:11[SPEAKER_00]: to make them stand out and not really their brain or their arm talent necessarily.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_00]: Although both have considerable arm talent and can read defences pretty well.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: Josh Allen has been shown to be a guy that could be head with coverages.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_00]: Same thing for Lamar Jackson.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, the clock's ticking on both.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_00]: The one thing I do like about Lamar Jackson is that he has He's gone to other aspects of his game and he's improved himself as a throar and as a pastor of the football Leaps and bounds from when he was even winning MVP's so I am my opinion he won two MVP's when he was not a very good pastor
- 21:54[SPEAKER_00]: he is a very good passer right now uh... josh allen is the one that i'm more suspicious of because man he does rely on on his athleticism and that's that's something that catches up with you and it happens just right overnight like you'll know it when you see it
- 22:12[SPEAKER_00]: Um, all right, uh, last one, if they get a waiver wide receiver, who do you think that they're eyeing?
- 22:19[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_00]: Look, I don't think the answers are on the waiver wire at wide receiver.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_00]: The answers are either in free agency, a year from now and March.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_00]: or in the draft.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean early in the draft, um, I don't think, you know, they kind of addressed it.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_00]: They addressed it in a very green Bay Packer-ish way, right?
- 22:44[SPEAKER_00]: They used two-third Ron picks.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_00]: You know, hopefully they hit.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully they hit on those two picks.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_00]: You know, hopefully that's something that's going to be, that's going to pay big dividends.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_00]: But again, like I said,
- 22:59[SPEAKER_00]: very distinct possibility and I think dolphin fence should prepare themselves for the very real possibility that general water is a star in Denver this year and you end up regretting making that trade.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's a very very real real possibility.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_00]: Alright guys, like I said, this is the return of 3 Archbacteria week.
