It's RIGGED! 🦍🦍 - You BEST Listen - $835 Silver Price and Gold News UPDATE · SILVER / GOLD / $UFD: Surviving Global Economic Shifts | RONS BASEMENT

0:01
Your relationship with Silver. We're going to talk about that
0:04
today because we have some. Fascinating developments in the
0:08
silver and the precious metals market.
0:11
That we're going to cover what? Happened yesterday shocking
0:14
what's happening today and even more important, what we can look
0:18
forward to tomorrow. We're going to look at the big
0:21
macro factors. We're going to look at what's
0:23
going on at the, at the Comex, at the LBMA and the Shanghai
0:28
Gold Exchange. We're.
0:30
I'm going to talk about before I forget a path.
0:33
To 830. $5 silver that could. Happen in the next.
0:37
Few years based. Upon what happened in the 1970s.
0:41
But let's dig in right away yesterday.
0:43
Was, I mean we are living through incredible.
0:46
Volatility, do you feel it? Anyone who's been around silver
0:49
and gold for any amount of time has never in recent decades
0:53
experienced. Volatility like we are like we
0:57
are experiencing. Let's talk about the big
0:59
factors. Driving it, some of them.
1:01
Negative. Some very, very positive.
1:04
And why we could very likely continue to have wind in our
1:07
sails. Let's.
1:08
Talk about why they right. The mainstream.
1:13
The mainstream media. Blamed the the crash yesterday.
1:18
Yeah, we had a mini. Crash in the silver and gold.
1:20
Markets this. Comes from Bloomberg and Who.
1:23
Do they blame it on? But good old Vladimir Putin.
1:26
There's a. There was a.
1:27
Russian memo that sees the return to the dollar system in a
1:31
pitch. Made for Trump by by Russia.
1:35
All right, let's just read the the highlight here real quickly.
1:39
It doesn't go down. OK, so basically what?
1:42
That said, and this. Is what caused.
1:44
That's what most. People are pegging in.
1:45
We're going to talk about the other reasons.
1:47
But then we're going to talk about the positive.
1:49
Reasons and how this all adds up again to us having wind in our
1:53
sails for the gold and. Silver price.
1:55
But the main driver? Yesterday was this.
1:57
Memo that came out. That supposedly said
2:00
everything's going to be good. In the world with Russia.
2:02
Russia's going to come back and start using the US dollar again,
2:06
OK? Of course, that makes the
2:07
dollar. Strength and that makes interest
2:09
rate cut expectations go down and that was not good for the
2:13
silver and gold market. But wait a minute, there's
2:16
something very interesting we wanted to.
2:17
Consider about that. Why would that make silver?
2:21
Crash like it did right? Silver went down, what, 10%
2:25
yesterday? Gold, I don't know, 2 percent,
2:27
3% Gold went down much less. Isn't gold.
2:31
The big monetary metal Shouldn't gold have had a more?
2:34
Severe. Reaction, or at least as.
2:36
Severe as silver. Why would the Kremlin coming out
2:40
and saying that, hey, we may want to be?
2:41
Buddy buddy with the US. Again and use the dollar.
2:44
For trade, why would? That have such an out outweighed
2:48
impact on the. Price of silver.
2:50
Doesn't make sense. Yes, of.
2:52
Course Silver. Is a monetary metal, but we all
2:55
know the fundamental driver in the.
2:57
Silver rally has been physical. Demand and primarily driven
3:02
from. Industrial usage.
3:04
So I call Bunk I. Call a bunch.
3:06
Of of of nonsense on that want to make.
3:09
Sure, I hit all the. Points on that one.
3:11
Now the next thing. That was and.
3:12
Then we're going to talk about the positive.
3:14
That was putting a damper on the silver and gold.
3:17
Rally the last. Few days with some supposed good
3:20
economic news that was coming out earlier in the week.
3:23
We're going to talk about the CPI that came out this.
3:26
Morning here in a second, but supposedly you know the economy.
3:29
Is great. Oh, they didn't look at those
3:31
like. Worst housing numbers and
3:33
forever. They came out earlier in the
3:34
week. But that also.
3:36
Put a damper on on on future expectations for interest rate.
3:40
Cuts. OK.
3:41
And when interest rates? Don't get cut.
3:44
That makes the dollar quote UN quote a little bit stronger and
3:47
again, that's not. Good for the precious metals,
3:49
but. Let's look at something very
3:51
interesting when it comes to interest rates and interest rate
3:54
cuts coming down the road. We're going to go out.
3:56
To the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Fed Watch tool.
4:02
And hold on one second here, hold on one.
4:07
All right, there we go. Now we got it on the full screen
4:09
guys, what we are looking. At are the.
4:12
Expectations for interest rate cuts.
4:14
Right here. That's the current rate, 3.
4:17
We'll say the lower end of the range, 3.5.
4:21
This is for the next meeting, which is in about 30.
4:24
Three days and at this. Point they're saying that
4:27
interest rates are not going to get cut.
4:29
As you can see that's 3.5 and they're saying there's a 90%
4:33
chance that if the next Fed meeting they're they're not
4:36
going to do anything. They are not going to.
4:38
There's a big positive message in this.
4:41
OK, because, because. When we go.
4:44
All the way out to. Even a year from now, OK, And we
4:50
look at these numbers, all right, again, here's they're
4:53
saying there's only a. 3% chance that rates are going to be the.
4:57
Same a year from now. But if we go.
5:00
All the way down to 1 like. What are the odds of?
5:03
Rates being one full percentage point.
5:05
Lower that's this bar right here we're.
5:07
Looking at only 17%, there's only a one in five chance that
5:12
rates are going to be 1% lower a full year from now.
5:17
Now, why that doesn't make sense is when we listen to what
5:20
President Trump is saying and why.
5:23
This puts this is there. There's a lot.
5:25
Of fuel in the tank. I guess is what I would.
5:27
Say a lot of ammo stored up. For when interest rates.
5:31
And expectations even for interest rates going lower comes
5:36
to? Fruition.
5:37
It's like right now, the big markets, the.
5:39
Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Fed the Fed Watch the.
5:42
Big money is basically calling. Monkey or what?
5:45
However you say that. On on what Trump is saying.
5:48
Trump wants much. Lower rates.
5:50
He's talking about rates going to 1%.
5:53
That would be. 2 1/2 percent decrease.
5:56
But because the big money, right, that sets the real.
6:00
Expectations doesn't expect much in terms of interest rate cuts,
6:04
even if. We go all the way out a year
6:06
that. Gives us massive room for a big
6:10
catalyst. Big move because if those.
6:12
Expectations do become much more likely that rates.
6:16
Will be cut. That'll add massive fuel.
6:19
To the to and and price. Support for gold and silver.
6:23
Let's listen to what Trump. Has to say about interest rates.
6:26
This is about what? 60 seconds long and.
6:30
Here he is right. Here, make sure I got the right
6:33
screen up for you. Guys, it looks like he's talking
6:36
to Larry Kudlow. Let's listen to what he says.
6:40
Interest rate should be lower. You know, every point is $600
6:45
billion. Think of that $600 billion, all
6:49
he has to do. If we went down to points, we
6:52
don't have a deficit anymore. And that's without cutting.
6:56
And it's just a paper charge. When you think about it, it's a
6:58
paper charge. We should be the lowest interest
7:01
rate in the world. The reason I bring up the
7:03
Switzerland, because we should be lower than we should be lower
7:07
than everybody. You know, Switzerland's like
7:08
just about the lowest. If I charge them tariffs, they
7:13
would not be doing very well. They would not be doing very
7:17
well. I treated them very nicely,
7:18
actually. But they would be and many other
7:21
countries would not be doing very well.
7:23
So I'm being very judicious, to put it mildly.
7:26
OK, so Trump. Is calling for major interest
7:30
rate cuts. We know he put Wash in there.
7:32
People said he's maybe a. Hawk, but Trump has made it.
7:35
Very, very clear. He wouldn't have put wash in at
7:38
the. Fed if he thought.
7:39
That he wasn't going to do what he wanted him to do.
7:41
That just doesn't make sense. Not a political statement.
7:44
You know how Donald Trump operates.
7:46
The big question here is. Where's the money going to come
7:49
from? And this is.
7:50
Key, right? Where's the money?
7:52
That yeah, they can lower. Interest rates, but it's a
7:55
market. We've got, what, 30?
7:56
$38 trillion in debt, the only way they could.
8:00
Lower interest rates and actually keep them lower people,
8:04
people. In the world, don't.
8:05
Want to buy U.S. debt now at the current interest rates?
8:08
China's selling our debt, the whole world is selling our debt
8:11
if they want. Interest.
8:12
Rates and they want to actually make them.
8:14
There's only one thing they can do and that is print money.
8:17
The Fed would have to. Print massive amounts of money
8:20
and that's that real complicated idea.
8:24
Monetize the debt. That's basically what that means
8:26
that that the debt. Is monetized by the Federal
8:29
Reserve printing money, which will make the value of the
8:32
dollar go down when interest rates go down the.
8:35
Value of the dollar goes. Down anyway and that.
8:37
Is a major, major support factor for the price.
8:42
Of gold and. Silver, so don't let them fool
8:44
you, right? It's smoke and mirrors, however.
8:47
You want to say it? There's really no way out.
8:49
There's no no plausible way out of this.
8:52
Situation that doesn't result. In the real value of the dollar
8:56
going. Going down OK in the in the in
8:59
the real. Value the price if you choose.
9:01
To measure it in U.S. dollars of gold and silver going higher and
9:07
when it comes to interest. Rate cuts.
9:08
We got news this morning the CPI, some people call it the CP
9:13
lie, but if the. CPI came out and that.
9:15
Also right, That's the reason. Why we're seeing this bump up
9:19
today in the. Price of gold and silver, but
9:21
it's headline. News Here it is on Yahoo
9:24
Finance, right? CPI inflation cools more than.
9:29
Expected. So what they're.
9:30
Telling us according to the. Bureau of.
9:33
Labor and statistics is that inflation's going down.
9:36
Inflation's going down. That sets an environment where
9:40
interest rates can be cut. OK, if, if, if.
9:44
Inflation is high, right? Then they have to be.
9:47
Hawkish. They have to keep rates higher
9:49
if they have this. Cover the story that inflation
9:53
is under control. That gives them a little more
9:56
cover to be able to cut. Interest rates, look at the end
9:58
of the day, no matter how you slice it or dice it guys, the
10:02
value of the dollar is in real. Terms going to go down and I'll
10:06
repeat. Myself, but that will result.
10:08
In, in, in, in. The value of gold and silver
10:12
going much higher. Let's talk about the bank
10:14
attack, the COMEX, the LBMA, and the Shanghai Gold Exchange.
10:18
Because what? Happened yesterday, was actually
10:21
predicted. By Mr. Nostra.
10:23
Let me get to that next. First, I do want to say thank
10:25
you, the channel sponsor First Mint.
10:28
Right, they are the silver. Mint.
10:30
Specialist. That's all they do.
10:33
They're owned by First Majestic. Silver.
10:35
Mining the silver in Mexico shipping at the Las Vegas, NV in
10:40
the United States of. America, where it's turned into.
10:42
These world class silver bullion products, this is one of their
10:46
most cool products. I talked to the guy who designed
10:49
it the other day. I.
10:50
Mean that's their Las Vegas. Round it's a 1 oz silver coin.
10:54
So the silver literally goes. From the mine to the to the mint
10:58
in Las Vegas and then. Directly to you, we're going to
11:01
talk about the. Comex, the LBMA and the Shanghai
11:04
Gold Exchange. That's.
11:05
This silver you get from. First, Mint never goes.
11:07
There it is, the freshest. Silver in town and.
11:10
They have a special. Discount code that.
11:12
You can use VIPRB. So what is?
11:16
Going on manipulation. Do you think the silver and gold
11:19
price are manipulated? We touched on how yesterday
11:22
silver went down 10, gold down 2%, right?
11:25
None of this makes. Sense.
11:27
But let's see what Mr. Nostra has to say.
11:29
And then we're going to dig into.
11:31
This a little more deeply. That's President Trump.
11:35
Here we go. OK.
11:38
Nastra said this the bankers. Are attacking right on schedule.
11:43
So on Wednesday, he'd put this tweet out on Wednesday, OK.
11:47
He said. I think the.
11:48
Bankers are going to attack again tomorrow.
11:51
That he was referring to Thursday when they did.
11:53
Attack. They attacked the last two
11:56
Thursdays and Fridays also. Chinese New Year Shanghai will
12:00
be. Closed for a week.
12:02
OK, it was a bank attack yesterday.
12:06
We're going to look at volume in a little bit that.
12:08
Also gives us big, big clues as to as to.
12:11
More evidence that what happened.
12:14
Yesterday just wasn't wasn't natural.
12:16
It but it continues to occur. It's got to just Dario that.
12:22
Oh my. God, I can't believe my eyes. 5
12:26
million ounces. Hold on a second here.
12:29
Yep, A. Physical silver have just.
12:31
Been taken out of the Comex registered inventories and the
12:35
banksters crashed the price over 10%.
12:39
This was yesterday. Now there's only 90. 3,000,000
12:42
ounces of silver left. At the Comex against over about
12:47
300 million ounces. Of.
12:49
Futures open interest approaching settlement and I
12:53
think. The first day that.
12:54
People can actually request physical for their futures
12:57
contracts. Is what February?
12:59
2720, eighth. We're still a couple weeks away,
13:03
but guys, still. We are seeing more and more
13:06
silver being drained out of the Comex.
13:09
Oh, and by the way, before I forget, Mr. Brian asked in the
13:12
comments section earlier for me to explain what shorting silver
13:16
means. I'll get to that by the end of
13:17
this video, I promise. But the.
13:20
Registered. Inventory.
13:22
Let me let me define that for you the.
13:24
Registered. Inventory that's now at
13:26
93,000,000 oz at the Comex. That's the.
13:29
Actual silver they have. In the vaults that they can use
13:33
to settle contracts with. OK.
13:35
The eligible number, which is. Typically a little bit higher
13:40
that silver that's in their vaults, but it's.
13:42
Claimed by someone or some entity.
13:45
Like the SOVETF or. Some really rich guy.
13:49
Maybe you have a claim on some of that, but it's not available.
13:54
To back up the actual. Futures.
13:56
Contracts the the silver that's available to.
13:58
Back up the futures contracts. Is referred.
14:01
As registered and right now that continues to sync.
14:05
Everybody's talking about it, everybody.
14:07
'S talking about the. Potential for a short.
14:08
Squeeze, OK, there's a lot of people that say it can.
14:12
Actually, technically never happen that.
14:15
They default. But at minimum, at minimum the
14:19
take away that we can see. Here is that there's very little
14:23
actual physical silver relative to the futures paper.
14:28
Claims that are out there for the same exact.
14:32
Silver, right and. People use the example of going
14:34
to McDonald's and are putting an order online at McDonald's and
14:38
they only have one Big Mac. But there's 100 people.
14:42
That are claiming they own the Big Mac OK, it's getting and
14:45
it's getting very interesting and at the same time we're
14:48
seeing the vaults in China at the Shanghai Gold Exchange also.
14:52
Get depleted as well. All right, man, we got a lot.
14:55
More to cover, now let's talk. Oh, this?
14:57
Is interesting. There's something very
14:59
interesting that. Happened yesterday during the
15:01
silver mini. Crash that we had.
15:04
And that is the actual volume. A lot of people were pointing
15:07
this out that the volume yesterday was not that high in
15:11
the in the paper. Markets.
15:13
And it's a known fact, OK, in the world of trading, volume
15:18
precedes price. The fact that we had.
15:20
Lower volume yesterday. Is actually shows that there
15:23
wasn't like a big. Interest.
15:25
Like there was something. Potentially a little fishy.
15:28
Going on in those markets. Let's go Where did it go?
15:33
Hold on here. Hold on, darn it.
15:39
Where did I? Where did I put it?
15:40
I think I lost it. Guys, hold on.
15:46
Nope. Well.
15:46
I'll just have to verbally. Tell you, you know what, hold
15:48
on, hold on one second. Having a little.
15:50
Bit of a tech issue. Let me let me find this and
15:56
think happy. Thoughts about gold and silver
16:00
while I look this up? And boom.
16:04
Here we go. I'll be with you.
16:06
I'll be back. With you in just one.
16:07
Second, actually we'll go ahead and share this now.
16:10
This is the. Dude.
16:12
And here we go. The silver market traded. 648
16:17
million paper oz yesterday now while that's.
16:20
High right that represents 3. Quarters of the entire annual
16:25
mining output production of silver in one.
16:27
Day they traded 3/4 relatively. Speaking in in in particular.
16:33
For a day where we. Had a massive volatile move in
16:36
the silver. Price that is actually quite
16:39
low. OK, so that I believe is a good.
16:43
Sign that. Yeah, yeah, sure.
16:44
Yesterday we had this horrible. Price move in silver, but there
16:48
weren't there weren't a ton of people selling paper contracts.
16:53
OK, now let's go and let's just go out here and look and get an
16:57
update on the silver price and CNBC.
17:03
Here we go. Yep.
17:06
We are up now on. CNBC Here's the the current
17:10
futures. This is the March.
17:11
Contract up two. Dollars.
17:13
OK, so we are. In the futures market, it's
17:16
$77.75, but let's look at just how crazy that move.
17:24
Yesterday was. This does not make sense guys
17:27
right here. I mean, look.
17:29
At this, we're at 8250. And then literally in the matter
17:34
of, I don't know what was it, 30 minutes, the price crashed
17:37
almost 10% down below $75 per. Oz and hey, while we're here.
17:43
Let's have some fun and let's look at a one year.
17:47
Chart of silver and see how that looks.
17:49
I still say. When you look at this chart and
17:52
you can disagree with me, but. Even if we draw.
17:55
A some straight lines on here. I mean, look at this was.
17:59
Such a gradual. Increase in the silver price.
18:03
There's one nice straight line. From there we have another nice
18:08
straight support line and from here again.
18:11
Right, all three of those. Are heading in that direction to
18:16
the hold on let's fix that. Uh oh oh boy.
18:23
Hopefully you guys can see this boom.
18:26
All right, let's try that again. There we go.
18:30
We want our. Arrow to look.
18:31
Good. And we want our arrow to
18:33
continue to go up now. Everybody's OK now.
18:36
Here's another big story. Right now in the precious metals
18:40
market. Especially in the silver.
18:41
Market, especially. In the United States.
18:43
Everybody's talking about how, Yep, hold on one second,
18:47
Susie's. The 800.
18:50
And $35 price. Yet Nope, I'm going to explain
18:53
the 8. $135 Yep, you got it. That's upstairs, Susie.
18:58
Everybody say hi to her. I am going to talk about
19:00
numbers. That show us that if.
19:02
We continue now with where we were in the 70s, we can get to
19:06
$835. Silver.
19:08
I didn't say it. Don't get mad at.
19:09
Me, but I would love to see it we just got.
19:11
Done with $85 silver, my old friend Smitty.
19:15
Right there, but we are going to get to that.
19:17
Oh yeah, and, and we're going to get to.
19:19
So what's some very, very? Interesting.
19:22
I would. I was.
19:23
Shocked. To hear this news coming out on
19:25
the from the coin shops. The retail side of silver.
19:29
Demand in the United States, it's not what you expect, but we
19:32
are going to look at both sides of the coin.
19:34
First, I want to say thank you to 1st Mining Gold for
19:37
sponsoring Ron's Basement. Stock I own for years and years
19:40
before. They sponsored my channel
19:42
development stage gold company in Canada. 2 huge projects,
19:47
Spring, Poland, Ontario du Parquet way back, each of which
19:50
have millions of Oz of gold in the ground in Canada.
19:55
You can learn more about them at firstmininggold.com.
19:58
Always remember, do your own research.
20:00
I'm not a financial advisor. I just speak my truth down here
20:05
in the basement. What is happening?
20:07
All right. No, nobody's buying silver.
20:09
No, remember all the the look. Things.
20:12
Let me tell you this first. With what went on in silver in
20:16
the last. Five or six weeks.
20:17
It's no wonder that there's mayhem in the refining,
20:21
wholesale and even the local coin shop side of things.
20:24
We talked about many times what we really keep an eye on, the
20:27
important thing to. Watch is what's?
20:29
Going on with the online. Dealers.
20:31
Because really? Excuse me?
20:34
They become like the Amazon dot. Com of retail silver.
20:38
OK, they dominate. Yeah, sure, there's.
20:40
Still mom and pop boutique shops around and little grocery stores
20:44
and whatever, but you know, Amazon's basically take one over
20:47
retail and the big online bullion dealers have kind of
20:50
taken over when it comes to precious metals as well.
20:54
But all these stories? Coming out, I can't sell my
20:57
silver back, Bubba, you know there's a.
20:59
There's no silver shortage. There's no demand for silver.
21:02
We get, we're going to look, you get both sides.
21:03
Of the coin, we'll start on the negative side.
21:06
As well. Yes, I will get the 8. $135
21:09
silver. And yes, I will explain what
21:11
silver shorting means, but here's big headline article.
21:16
Right. Everyone's, everyone's grandma.
21:20
Everyone's grandma is selling the silver chandelier, forks,
21:23
knives. Wait a minute.
21:24
Yep, Yep, everyone's grandma is selling the silver chandelier,
21:28
forks, knives. As scrap volumes overwhelm
21:31
refiners. Something interesting, though,
21:34
We're going to talk about that with refiners, but Bloomberg
21:36
reports coin and jewelry. Shops have seen what they
21:39
describe as a quote rush of customers seeking to dispose of.
21:44
Collectibles, silverware, and family treasures during the
21:48
historic. Surge and silver prices last
21:51
month. Then they talked to some.
21:52
People that you know. That are out there saying quote
21:55
everyone's grandma is selling their chandelier forks and
21:57
knives anything that's made of sterling silver to.
22:00
To utilize the silver, Prices said.
22:02
Gene Furman, owner of King Gold and pawn in Empire Gold.
22:07
Buyers, which has locations across the New York City metro
22:12
area so. Yeah #1 we had an absolute
22:16
historic run in the silver. Price.
22:18
So of course people say it's. Silver's 100 dollars.
22:21
I'm going to sell the silver. I think most of that is over,
22:24
but the other big. Key thing to remember, OK.
22:28
Is it was a shock. Number one.
22:30
So that's the first. Key but #2 the United States
22:35
doesn't have that much refining capacity.
22:38
We know, right, that they. Tell us.
22:40
Right. I hear somewhere between 60 and
22:42
as high as 70%. Of the world's silver.
22:46
Refining capacity is in China, OK.
22:50
So look. I don't.
22:52
I don't. I think people are making.
22:53
Too big of a deal out of this, very what I feel will be.
22:57
Temporary situation where people are having a hard time selling
23:01
their silver to local coin shops, that type of thing.
23:05
That's just my opinion, but I think once things settle out
23:08
right and the silver price finds its new equilibrium, it's new
23:12
floor, maybe that's 70, maybe that's. 80 maybe that's a. 100
23:16
Who knows, maybe. It's 60I.
23:18
Don't know. I don't know.
23:18
Don't have a crystal ball, but people will have no.
23:21
Problem selling their silver. Just my opinion.
23:24
And now for some shocking news. Are you ready to be shocked?
23:28
And then we're going to. Cover the 800 and. $35 silver
23:31
and. Then we're going to cover
23:32
shorting. But guys.
23:34
The guy Silver seeker. I had no idea this was the case.
23:37
A Silver Seeker YouTube. Channel.
23:39
I love his content. Always strikes.
23:41
Me as a very, very nice guy. He has some very there's.
23:46
I don't want to ruin it here. Hold on.
23:48
I'll let him. I'll let him explain it to you
23:50
and then I'll give you my thoughts on the matter.
23:53
But he has a video out here. He is there, Silver Seeker.
23:56
We're going to watch like the first. 50 seconds and hear what
23:59
he says is going on. In the retail silver.
24:02
Market and I'm going to share the right screen.
24:05
There he is. Mr. Silver Seeker, good guy,
24:08
puts out great. Content Silver.
24:10
Seeker you so there is. A hold on, hold on.
24:14
Start over. Here we go.
24:16
So there is a huge surge in demand for physical silver right
24:19
now, there is no doubt about it. We've seen it talked about on
24:23
this channel with coin shows, with other coin dealers.
24:25
We've seen it across all of YouTube and other social media
24:28
talking about how dealers went from having an abundance to
24:31
basically being sold out of things like silver rounds and
24:34
Silver Eagles. And I have covered that on the
24:37
channel recently. But one thing we really haven't
24:39
touched on a whole lot is how much local coin shops are
24:42
actually now charging for that physical silver.
24:46
Now a few weeks ago you could get silver rounds for less than
24:48
$2.00 an ounce over spot. That is probably not going to be
24:51
the case today. And what we are going to do is
24:54
going to find out I am actually calling 12 different coin shops
24:58
across the United States to find out what they are selling Silver
25:02
Eagles, Silver Rounds and 90% silver for.
25:06
And I'll let you know I've actually already made the calls
25:08
and I'm going to share them with you in just a second.
25:10
And some of the numbers are shocking.
25:13
My channel is sponsored by SD Bullion and Take.
25:15
All right, he's. Sponsored by SD Bullion Oh here,
25:18
I'm going to give him proper credit.
25:20
There he is, right there, Silver Seeker 253,000 subscribers.
25:25
But what? He said.
25:26
Right was shocking to me. I had no idea it.
25:29
Was one of the. First things I saw this morning
25:31
that there's a massive surge in demand for.
25:33
Retail silver. Then I went.
25:35
Went out for myself, I went to. Four or five.
25:38
Of the big online bullion dealers and checked like what
25:42
are they selling silver eagles for and I saw that American.
25:46
Silver Eagles are selling for like I think the.
25:48
Lowest I found was like 12. Dollars over spot.
25:51
I think in in some cases almost 17 or $18.00 per oz over spot
25:57
which. I know indicates to us, right
26:00
that that's the big. Thing here's something to
26:02
understand. I got a look.
26:05
There's nothing. There's one big indicator.
26:08
That tells us what the. Retail demand for physical
26:12
silver is and we're sure we're focused on the United States,
26:15
but it's. True all over the world.
26:17
And that's the premiums, like he said right in his video.
26:20
Sometimes 16. I saw 17. $18.00 over.
26:24
Spot for American Silver Eagles in bigger premiums for rounds
26:27
when premiums go up, that's the number one way to measure retail
26:33
demand for silver and we know that in the United.
26:36
States right A lot. Of you are joining me from all.
26:38
Over the world, it's. Different in different parts of
26:41
the world, but in the United States there had been a.
26:43
Slow down that. Could be another big factor that
26:47
that comes on the scene and helps push, right man, more
26:51
massive demand and more demand. Means higher prices for silver,
26:55
so thank you silver Seeker for that.
26:56
Excellent video, I love his content.
26:58
And you know what just strikes me as a really?
27:00
Good nice guy. So anyway, let's move on.
27:03
Oh, I promised you $835 per oz silver.
27:07
We're going to cover that right now, and then we're going to
27:09
talk about what. Shorting.
27:11
Silver means I saw Brian. Before the show started.
27:14
Had a question and I can explain it to you very simply.
27:17
Very easy to understand. But let's talk about, OK?
27:20
Wait a minute, let's set the table if we will.
27:23
Do you believe in $835 silver? Do you?
27:26
Believe in $600.00 silver. I do, I know in my lifetime I.
27:32
Will see that price that's what I.
27:33
Believe, don't make any financial decisions.
27:36
I'm not a financial. Advisor, but people called us.
27:38
Crazy when we had a. Bear right there old Smitty
27:42
right that was blindfolded with. $85 on.
27:45
If we look. At history, recent history and
27:49
we look at where we are right now.
27:51
With the silver price there. Are numbers.
27:53
There is proof that a number. Like $835.
27:57
Is not out of the question. Let's go check it out right now.
28:01
I love this. Hold on.
28:03
Here it is. Uh oh.
28:05
Oh my gosh, Hold on, boy. The the computer is really
28:10
screwing up today. Hold on one second, guys.
28:13
I'm going to let you. I'm going to.
28:15
Let you look at this. While I.
28:19
See if I can get. This computer figured out and
28:21
then we are going. To go to the. $835 per oz
28:26
Silver. Welcome to live streaming.
28:31
Oh my gosh, hold on, we aren't going to give up.
28:34
Here guys, Susie will. Get mad at me if I sing but, and
28:43
all right, here it is. I found it.
28:46
OK, I'm going to be right here with you and should be pulling
28:50
up right now on your screen. Monetary mayhem.
28:54
Sorry for the technical issue and delay there.
28:56
Guys, Silver, OK, this is this. Is it?
28:59
These are the. Numbers silver bull markets
29:02
rhyme. The 1980.
29:04
Silver bull market, that's the. First time silver got to $50.00
29:09
in 1970. 4 silver fell almost. 44%, so from 1970 to 19. 80 the
29:16
silver. Price went from like, I don't
29:18
know, a. Dollar 50 per oz all the way to
29:20
$50.00 but. During that 10 year period in
29:23
1974, silver fell by 44%, but then from 1974 to 1980 it went
29:31
up 1200 and 6% or 12X now. Let's go to the next big silver
29:37
bull market. From 2001 to. 2. 1011, OK,
29:42
during that period in 2008 and during that period, silver went
29:46
from less than $5.00 an ounce to just right under $50 per oz,
29:51
but. During that period from O.
29:53
One 2001 to 2011 in 2000. 8 silver fell.
29:58
Right during 2008 by. 60. Percent.
30:02
But then from 2008 to 2011, it went up by 467%.
30:08
This bull market 2020, we don't know when it'll end in 2020. 6
30:14
Silver fell OK by 40. 7%, we know that right from what 120
30:21
down to. 60. 2 Whatever it hit percent the 2026.
30:26
Low to $64. If it rhymes, OK if this.
30:31
Current silver bull market. Rhymes with the previous ones.
30:36
If. $64.00 an ounce goes up by 467% like it did during the.
30:45
Most. Recent O1 to OOO 1 to 2011 OK.
30:50
Silver would go to $362 per oz. Would be happy with that, but.
30:56
If it rhymes with the 1970's, the 1980 bull market and goes up
31:01
by 1200 and 6% or 12X from our current. $64 low.
31:08
That would come to $835 per oz silver.
31:12
Am I saying that that's going to happen?
31:15
No, but could it happen? Absolutely right if we just.
31:21
Replicate what happened during a previous bull market?
31:24
Yeah, we could. Get to 300 and. 60 I think we'd.
31:26
Be all. Be happy temporarily with 360.
31:30
Dollars per oz Silver. But we could also go.
31:32
As high as into the 8 hundreds it happened before.
31:36
This isn't just like Dreamworld, that's based on previous
31:41
performance. Of silver during the 2.
31:43
Previous. Big bull markets.
31:45
So don't don't be don't be a non believer.
31:48
You know what I'm going to explain what shorting silver
31:51
means to our friend Brian and the most of some of you know
31:54
some of you don't. And then we're going to look at
31:56
the we're going to do an update on the Shanghai Gold.
31:59
Exchange but shorting silver. You hear that?
32:02
Term all the time. All the shorts.
32:03
People shorted. Here's an easy.
32:05
Way to understand what that means?
32:07
Shorting basically means you. Borrow the silver, sell it.
32:12
With the intention of then in a future at a few at a future time
32:17
buying it. Back at a lower.
32:19
Price and giving it back now let me make it even more simple
32:22
Brian or whatever your name is out there right now if.
32:27
I. Believe if I'm a short and I
32:29
believe the price of silver is going to go down and you have a
32:33
10 oz bar of silver. OK, I come to you and I say.
32:36
I want a short silver. So what I do right is I borrow.
32:41
That 10 oz. Bar of silver.
32:43
From you. OK.
32:45
And you charge me a little bit of money to do that, 2 or 3%,
32:48
whatever it is, but I borrow your 10 oz.
32:51
Bar of silver. I then immediately sell it so
32:55
that you know that. Sell pressure, I sell it.
32:57
OK. Because I think that the price
32:59
is going to go down. Six weeks later.
33:02
Six weeks later. And when I sold it from you
33:05
right now? I sell it for let's.
33:06
Say 1000. Dollars okay six weeks later.
33:10
If things go to plan. And the price of?
33:12
Silver goes down to $50.00 an ounce.
33:15
I can buy it back for $500 in return.
33:20
To you this. The ounce I'm not borrowing.
33:22
Return it to you. You.
33:23
Get your silver back. Right.
33:25
And I made 500. Dollars, I hope that.
33:27
Makes sense. It's real simple now it can
33:30
work. The other way as well.
33:31
And there's another big key to remember.
33:33
I can borrow that 10 oz from you sell it.
33:36
And if the price goes up, then when I then I have to cover this
33:39
called covering my short. All right, covering it.
33:41
Is either way whether? The price goes down or up but if
33:44
I have to then buy it back. If silver goes to 150 an oz for
33:48
$1500, well then I've lost money.
33:51
The big key take away. Is that anytime someone shorts
33:55
something, OK, eventually, all right, when they short it,
33:59
they're selling, but eventually? They got to buy it back.
34:03
They got to. Cover their shorts.
34:04
Now you also may hear on a bit of a separate note, the term
34:08
naked shorting. Naked shorting means and it's a
34:12
derivative thing. It's a make believe thing.
34:14
It means somebody sells silver, but they don't actually have it,
34:19
they're naked. Like they just sold the.
34:21
Silver, but they never actually borrowed it and there's.
34:25
I'm not an expert on it, but. You know.
34:27
It's a way that they can really manipulate the price down
34:30
because in theory somebody could make it short silver into
34:34
Infinity speaking. Though of of of real silver.
34:38
Let's go check out what's. Going on at the Shanghai Gold
34:40
Exchange. This is interesting and all
34:44
right, this one's working. Here we go.
34:46
This comes from our friend the. Oriental ghost our.
34:49
Update on the Shanghai Gold. Exchange.
34:51
They closed last. Night's Pull that up full screen
34:55
and boom. OK, that's the SGE.
35:00
All right. This is silver AG.
35:02
That's the periodic symbol for silver.
35:05
On the SGE. Which is their physical.
35:07
Spot market actually backed by real metal.
35:10
Believe it or not, they closed out the night at 80. 6.
35:14
Dollars per oz. Now if we.
35:15
Go to their futures. Exchange the SHF.
35:18
E And look at silver, you can see they are still in a very
35:23
healthy state. Of contango.
35:26
Contango is a normal normal. State that any.
35:29
Commodity market should be in. That means that the spot price
35:33
is a little bit lower. Than the futures price and the
35:36
reason that's the case is. Because there's storage cost,
35:39
there's interest, all that great stuff.
35:42
That's a normal healthy market reflected right there when we go
35:46
to the United, when we go to the US.
35:48
Market. So let's just say there's spot
35:49
markets at 86 two. Interesting things to consider.
35:55
Number one, our current spot price in the.
35:58
West is 77. Dollars about what, $9 per?
36:03
Oz less, which is. A big dislocation that's been
36:06
covered at nauseam. But the other interesting thing
36:09
is our spot. Price which?
36:12
There is at $77 per oz. Is is right about what do we
36:18
were? Hold on a minute here, 70.
36:20
Yeah, we are almost exactly. Hold on, there's the futures
36:24
market. The futures price should be
36:26
higher, but it's not. It's almost exactly pretty much.
36:30
This, we don't want that. Hold on here.
36:34
Hold on. All right, and.
36:39
There to go. There it is.
36:41
There's our price right there. That's the.
36:43
Futures market that should be higher than our spot price like
36:47
it is in China, but it's not. It's $77.50 where?
36:52
As you see, is almost exactly what the spot price is.
36:57
So we are not in a state of contango, which is a normal
37:00
healthy market like the Chinese market is then, but we're also
37:04
not in what they call backwardation, which means.
37:07
That the spot price is. Low as, I'm sorry, higher than
37:11
the. Futures price.
37:12
That is a very scary. Situation that basically means
37:15
people are concerned. About the ability of the.
37:17
Futures. Market to be able to.
37:19
Deliver. But even though we are in a
37:21
state of equilibrium, so we're not in backwardation, we're not
37:24
in contango. We had a special.
37:26
Word for that down here in the basement.
37:28
We call that backward tango. It's not a real healthy.
37:31
Market the price should still. Be higher in the futures.
37:34
Market, all right, guys. Thanks.
37:36
For joining me down here today. Oh, I forgot.
